Speaker 1 (00:00):
House.

Speaker 2 (00:01):
Everybody doing on a Thursday, good overloaded?

Speaker 1 (00:07):
How you yeah?

Speaker 2 (00:08):
About the same, you know, I mean a big event
going on tonight. We're so excited for some of you
who are going to be out there for the Halloween
roast of Sean Watson.

Speaker 1 (00:16):
That's me.

Speaker 3 (00:17):
It's gonna be fun.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
It's going to be a good time, and you are
going to laugh. I will probably cry. No, you're not
tears streaming down my face.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
You want to make someone cry, I can see it
in your eyes.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
I don't want to make anybody cry. That is not
my aim, and I think.

Speaker 4 (00:34):
The goal should be not make it weird for the
audience that.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
I'm not planning on making it weird, No, no, no,
I'm planning on making some jokes, firing back, laughing and
hanging out and having a good time.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
And we hope that you're going to do that with us.

Speaker 2 (00:51):
If you're out there, if you've got your tickets to
the sold out roast event tonight, well, doors open, I
think it's six point thirty at Judson's Live.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Yep, that's for the lobby with.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
Food drink, right, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
That's like the opening area of the lobby area, and
then that's seven They open up the actual venue, I believe.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Yeah, and that's your opportunity to maybe get.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
Some merch show believe as well. But we'll fully confirm
by the end of the show.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Yeah, so six thirty is when you can actually start
getting in, and then the venue opens at seven o'clock.
There's like a little lobby in front of the venue
that you can hang out and meet other people and whatnot.
That's when things are to be started. You can wear costumes.
If you are wearing costume, don't completely cover your face
or anything. They got to be able to identify you, obviously,
if you want to be drinking or getting into the

(01:39):
event for security purposes and stuff like that. Also, if
your costume has any weapons, no fake weapons or real
weapons or anything like that obviously, Otherwise go for it.
Where a costume dress up? Fancy Sea Led tries to
hit me today, He's like, a probably gonna wear shorts.
I want to be comfortable.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Strange girlfriend Nicole.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
I tried on like several options for the outfit tonight,
and she asked me several times, Yeah, are you sure
that everyone else is going to be dressing up fancy?

Speaker 1 (02:12):
Are you sure?

Speaker 5 (02:14):
Okay, I've been telling her about us.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Always they say we're going to dress up, and then
no one dresses up.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
Okay, so I just don't want to be and what
is considered a like very formal, said my formal outfit,
and I'm the only.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
One you won't be.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
I mean, I've already purchased my whole outfit. Now you
may quibble with how fancy you think it is, but
for me, it's fancy. And no, no, no no, I'm
going to use my own style within within the frame
of tea. First of all, I will be dressed up.

(02:54):
I already told you said you were using your own style.
My own style with is being fancy is what I'm
looking for. And Seeland will be dressed up to He's
he's just figuring out what level.

Speaker 5 (03:07):
Yeah, I might bring one or two outfits and just
have like a game time decision.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
M hm. I mean that's a good idea.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
I will do the same, because I'm certainly not going
to the roast as old Greg h turns out that
green makeup is very hard to get out of your
face and all, oh, I forgot.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
This was like the viral thing that you were for
Halloween or something that I didn't I'd never heard again.

Speaker 4 (03:29):
You'll see him the picks online throughout the weekend. But
I'm not doing it for the roast.

Speaker 2 (03:34):
Okay, we got a lot to get to today, as always,
but we're going to start out as we always do.
Here we go, let's put our ears to the ground,
our fingers in the postle to see what's happening in
this great, big, wide world of ours.

Speaker 3 (03:44):
And we go to.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Saint Lucy, Florida. Everybody ps now, shouts out to you
out there. You got one of yours on the radar.
Unfortunately he doesn't look fantastic, but it's it's it's a time,
so let's explore it together. In South Florida, this guy
was approached by a police officer.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
This was captured on body cam.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Why he was driving erradically, crashing into all sorts of
people and screaming things at the top of his lungs,
and then he rolled his truck multiple times before the
police officer has arrived.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
That's all thing.

Speaker 2 (04:19):
That's where we start. Let's listen in by the wayside
down the car. His truck has rolled over multiple times.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
People He's in the.

Speaker 2 (04:38):
Truck all rolled over like like a crash. Test dummy
with a belt around him still.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
And then just like blasting the Lifehouse.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Lifehouse, the fallen even more in love with you, of
all like, of all the songs that could come on
in this moment.

Speaker 5 (04:53):
I mean, after flipping that many times, he might be
hanging on by just a moment.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
He was really jammed to the before the crash.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
I guess right. So the cop walks up by the
way the cop hit the posts like the vehicle. It's like, dude,
I'm valid even just right right up to that moment,

(05:22):
the conflict, all.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Right, the nail. The nail's awake and conscious in his car.
He listens about me. He's not all right.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
So the guy in the car, the car, the truck
has flipped over on the side. The entire back window
of the truck is smashed out, and the officer is
speaking obviously with dispatch.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
Right now, I want to get out.

Speaker 1 (05:40):
I need someone to go check on. Here's the thing.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
No, he starts off with, here's the thing, which all
the ways turns out great for everyone.

Speaker 2 (05:49):
I'll notch you back a couple of seconds, he says,
here's the thing. I'm okay, I'm okay, all right, everything's fine.

Speaker 1 (05:54):
No, big deal in his car.

Speaker 2 (05:55):
He's not He's not able to get out.

Speaker 6 (05:58):
I need someone to go check on on the female, now, please,
she's just north of the intersection of avaluation.

Speaker 5 (06:05):
I'm Florida State Patrol.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
You want me to get out?

Speaker 1 (06:09):
I'm a firefighter.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
I'm a firefighter.

Speaker 5 (06:12):
Are you Florida State Patrol or a firefighter?

Speaker 3 (06:16):
He claims to be both. He claims to be a.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
Firefighter and somehow Florida State Patrol.

Speaker 5 (06:21):
Why does he say you want me to get out
like he wants to fight?

Speaker 2 (06:28):
He says, you want me to get out, like it's
totally normal to get out from the broken back window
of your truck that has slipped over a couple of times.
Wanting to get out?

Speaker 1 (06:39):
Fine, here we go, all right, I'm a firefighter. How
Florida State clease?

Speaker 5 (06:45):
Oh, this is now get out and you're gonna lay
on the ground, all right.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
He's trying to creep out in the back of the
broken window.

Speaker 1 (06:55):
Already got laser.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
You y right on the ground, all right, He's getting out.
He's a little stuck's turned off my wife house, all right.
Finally squeezed out of the window in the back.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
Of the truck.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
Be on the ground on the ground, chill ground on
the ground. James, did he say tensers are ineffective?

Speaker 2 (07:23):
He might have said something in a second or something.
Even if he didn't, he probably would have been right.
Because this guy is in another world right now. I
mean he was literally just driving around smashing into all
sorts of stuff when the cops found him. This is
and and now they got him finally on the ground.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
Time to arrest.

Speaker 7 (07:45):
Him, cuff time.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
What was that?

Speaker 2 (07:55):
Jesus Christ is Lord? He said, Oh, he is on
another level. Yeah, this guy's I was.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
About to say, okay, but mother Mary's in the background.

Speaker 5 (08:03):
Yeah, he says, he's a firefighter and a state police
but he's wearing a Handyman T shirt.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
Yeah it is. And he's wearing a Handyman T shirt
with an area code in our our neck.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Caff crisis. Yeah like that. He has three different jobs.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
This guy is a piece of work. So he finds
himself in some trouble today.

Speaker 5 (08:28):
A good deal on into your exterior drywall. Looks like
flooring is getting cut off there.

Speaker 2 (08:34):
Yeah, yeah, they'll help you out with all of this stuff.
All you need handyman services.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
I'll see.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
There was something just.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
So iconic about how Lifehouse was on the radio, the
trucks on its side, this guy's.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
Day, his body can to make sure it was reporting it.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
And by the way, maybe it's an elaborate viral ad
for the Lifehouse catalog. They said, we haven't been paid
attention to enough in a why team. We need to
get this out there.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
They just squitched in the cap.

Speaker 8 (09:09):
Of the car.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
Oh, something fantastic about that.

Speaker 5 (09:12):
I always wonder, like, uh, people that are in big
bands like that, you know, they have to get sent
these videos somebody somewhere send them this right.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
All the time, constantly being tagged.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
I've even done it.

Speaker 5 (09:27):
Actually, I was like, I sent to Alex and I
was like, I bet you have gotten this about a
thousand times. But I thought I thought it was hilarious. No,
it was on Instagram.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
Fred flintstell there, but there there was a video.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
Instagram.

Speaker 3 (09:50):
There is a video that I saw on porn Hub
one time.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
That are you now suggesting that you sent to a
band member from the band a day to remember?

Speaker 9 (10:03):
No?

Speaker 5 (10:03):
No, no, that was a different thing that was at it.
Next there was a Pornhub video that took place in
a dressing room. Yeah, and I in the background of
the video, I went, is that Dave Matthews band?

Speaker 2 (10:22):
What a weird soundtrack.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
For what's going on?

Speaker 2 (10:26):
That's what I started thinking, Like.

Speaker 5 (10:28):
I wonder if people send these bands like, hey, yeah, hey,
there's a porno of a girl like going at it?

Speaker 2 (10:34):
Uh, and tell you the background if somebody was listening,
if somebody was listening to this minute and a half
of it, if somebody was listening to this show, and
there you can hear us in the background of something
crazy going on. That guy or like you know, born
Hub or whatever. I would want to see it. I'd

(10:54):
be like, that's hilarious. I love that. They must love
it. It must be great for him in some way. Okay, well,
we've got a lot for you today. Welcome on board, friends,
jump on in on a busy Thursday on the show.
Of course, as we said, the roast event is coming
up a little bit later on today. That gentleman will
not be there, unfortunately, got some legal issues to work with.
The rest of us are holding on by a thread

(11:15):
because I guess now we're going to start testing nuclear
weapons again. I didn't know that we needed to do this,
and I want to know more about where we're going
to do this. We're going to drop them in the desert. Again,
are we doing something different than this? But that's what
the latest hubub is and the President said on true
social The United States has more nuclear weapons than any

(11:36):
other country. Okay, this was accomplished, including a complete update
and renovation of existing weapons during my first term in office.
Because of the tremendous destructive power. I hated to do it,
but I had no choice. Russia is second, and China
is a distant third, but will be even within five
years because of other countries testing programs. I have instructed

(11:59):
the Department of War start testing our nuclear weapons.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
Now, when we.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
Say testing nuclear weapons, do we mean like there's a
little button on the side and it's like a status
indicator and.

Speaker 1 (12:10):
Well the nuclear bomb went off?

Speaker 4 (12:13):
Or is there like a level one care bomb only
takes up forty acres.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
No, I mean to say, like, imagine it's a vacuum
and there's a button on it that you hit you
it says test and it's like two hundred lessage.

Speaker 5 (12:26):
Five plugs in the bathroom. You know, you have the
test button that cuts off?

Speaker 1 (12:30):
Look all right?

Speaker 2 (12:32):
Or or is the test that you're dropping this son
of a bitch out of the sky and a nuke
is going, and like, all.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Right, how it worked down? Twenty people died.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
They used to do this, They used to do it
out in the desert. He says, I've instructed the Department
of War to start testing nuclear weapons on an equal basis.
That process will begin immediately. Thank you for your attention
to this matter, he says, And then he was speaking.

Speaker 3 (12:54):
Today.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
Trump was with the leadership, including President z in China
and uh well a presidency of China. They were in
South Korea for this this meeting. These always seems so weird.
You got all these real big heavy hitters around a table,
and then the press is there and everybody's like being
awkwardly quiet, and somebody just shouted out, like, hey, what's

(13:17):
the deal with a nuclear testing thing?

Speaker 1 (13:18):
What's going on, mister president? Why did you change your
nuclear plans?

Speaker 10 (13:23):
Why are you going to be doing more nuclear testing?

Speaker 11 (13:26):
Thank you very much, everybody, Thank you very much.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
So it's Trump across from the guy who's in tow
or z is the current president of China, who is
the one I believe that they make fun of. It's
really really tough to do in China because they'll just
bounce you off of the Internet or out of existence.
But they compared to Winnie the Pooh, that's the guy
I believe. Yeah, he gets the witty the Pooh memes.

(13:54):
He's at the table with Trump and all of these
folks from the US and then South Korean leadership, and
then they're like, hey, what's going on with this?

Speaker 1 (14:03):
What are we doing?

Speaker 2 (14:04):
I mean, now we're going to start testing nuclear bombs
after a three decade hiatus. It was a couple hour
meeting I think.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
Or something like that table just in that room, all
of them looks scared.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
Yeah, it's like uncomfortable. It's just a bunch of people
sitting at the desk. But it went really well, I guess.
I mean it supposedly went according to Trump, Well according
to does.

Speaker 1 (14:25):
That plain white table beautiful flowers?

Speaker 2 (14:28):
Now, according to both of them, President China said the
same thing. I mean, I don't know that if it did,
but that's what everybody's saying. That walked out of this.
So we shall see. We'll hear from you today. If
you're getting revved up for the roast, join us and
send a dispatch telling us you're out there.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
And ready to go. We got more.

Speaker 2 (14:45):
Details on the robot we talked about yesterday, Neo the Robot.
We got more details on this creation, and they're very,
very disturbing.

Speaker 1 (14:54):
If I'm honest with you.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
Things have taken a t WITHO. Too bad, buddy, Well
maybe you still will be.

Speaker 3 (15:00):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
I've got some thoughts on this, but we'll see what
you think. That's coming up next on the News Junkie. Okay,

(15:23):
we're gonna get to you and your dispatches in a moment.
A lot of people reacted yesterday on the show to
Neo the Robot. This was the robot that they unveiled,
and uh, they said, it's gonna help you with your chores,
can open the door for you and let people in,
and you could teach it custom stuff that it can
do it and bring in your deliveries. It can hang

(15:44):
out with you. I think they said it could make jokes.
You know, it's like a stories. Yeah, it's like a
five foot five pal and it will walk around your
house and you I even think you see that. Even
said it would self charge. Yeah, it goes into its
room and the plugs itself in charges up goes back to.

Speaker 4 (16:03):
It born or delivered maybe both in this weird egg shape.
Like years ago it is Lady Gaga was in an
egg for like the VMA's or something. That's immediately what
I thought of when I saw Neo's egg.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
It's like delivered to your house in an egg and
they open the egg and then the Neo the robot
comes out and he's your pal after that. And some
of the memes that have spun off of this are
just magnafique day two after cleaning after your human friends.
This is one of the memes I've seen going around
Neo as Ben Affleck smoking on the patio, just dejected

(16:40):
and completely over it. This was Neo your robot after
you criticized Israel online last night. I've also seen this
reuse in a lot of ways. This this is the
most memable one so far because people are like Neo
the robot after you missed three payments in a row
on the monthly fee, and it's all you see his
Neo like like you're sleeping and he's over you with

(17:03):
this pillow about to just kill you, you know, na, yeah,
suffocate you with the pillow. The memes are all over
the place, and.

Speaker 4 (17:10):
We played one earlier this week of you after drinking
all night trying to set the dishwasher, and it might have.

Speaker 1 (17:19):
I mean I thought about it all day that day.

Speaker 2 (17:22):
You know, that was one of the clips that people
were watching and going, this thing's actually a hunk a crap.
It's the Neo robot is a piece of junk. And
I saw a lot of that pushback yesterday. But I
will remind you that at least allegedly, this thing's pretty
cheap as far as full on robots go. Yes, so
I still remain impressed. I know a lot of people

(17:46):
were crapping on this thing, meming on it and crapping
on Neo. They had another version of Neo from AI
where it's just following you around the house vacuuming and
you know, every step you take, just absolutely creepy behavior,
just watching you as you're yelling and fighting with your

(18:07):
partner and.

Speaker 3 (18:08):
Stuff and.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
All over the place this thing, and it's been great
promotion for the company. Somebody came up with the female
version that is of course not available fake, but very
bud some tiggles they have. They have done a lot
in the world of Neo. The home robot already in

(18:30):
just a short time, and a lot of the people
are claiming this thing is a piece of junk, and
people sent it in too tips of the news Junkie
dot com. Hey, look at this Wall Street Journal article
and they said, uh, they weren't really that impressed by
the neo robot. And I haven't seen the actual video yet,
but the article from the Wall Street Journal was kind
of crapping on this thing. But let's hear what they said.

(18:51):
Because a bunch of people did send this up. It's
going to be not perfect.

Speaker 3 (18:55):
Here's a CEO just incredibly useful.

Speaker 10 (18:57):
Neo might not fold my shirt perfectly, but if an
harm is like kind of hanging out.

Speaker 2 (19:03):
The shirt is a ball on the on the bed,
a better job than I do folding shirts. You know,
if you if you don't have a high standard, this
will work.

Speaker 10 (19:12):
But it's not very sure like it's okay, it's robotic slop,
it's it's.

Speaker 1 (19:16):
Getten to me a robotics very okay. Honestly, it is
so good, thank you. It's reality, at least for his stuff.

Speaker 10 (19:25):
That Richard's work will be done by someone else. There
will be an app where you can schedule tele operation
specifying exactly what and when you want neo to do
things in your house.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
Yeah, it's a controlling the neo with a like a oculus.

Speaker 3 (19:41):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (19:41):
Yeah, And they're saying, for the first couple of months,
you're just going to have a live person and another
location running your rope.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
Right, great selling point. Absolutely not no.

Speaker 3 (19:52):
No big deal.

Speaker 2 (19:53):
But for the first several months, you'll just have a
random person who will be able to see everything in
anything inside your house.

Speaker 4 (20:00):
You get hold and that robot is air masturbating, and
you know exactly what's going on.

Speaker 2 (20:07):
This particular person who will be controlling the robot via
joystick for a little while is a human being, but
they'll be able to witness everything going on inside your
private any of planning on selling, I don't know this.
This is a little loosey goosey so far, but they're
saying that there's gonna be somebody controlling it for a while.

Speaker 12 (20:27):
Sure not. We respect privacy as much as possible.

Speaker 2 (20:30):
Yeah, good luck, it's always on your terms. You are
always in control.

Speaker 12 (20:33):
Some examples of this is tele operator does not see you, right,
we can blur people blur.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
People also cannot go trust us. We can blur person. Yeah,
they're saying like they can fence off areas of the
house where the person remotely operating it can't go in,
or they blur the people trust us totally. You're not
going to be found naked by the robot operator.

Speaker 5 (20:58):
I mean you just don't be naked in front of
the robot operator.

Speaker 2 (21:03):
It's a robot. If it's just wandering around your house,
you might be, oh, oh god, you know, I didn't know.
Wasn't prepared for this. I didn't know this was going
to happen. They seem to think it's got some issues.
That's some for level.

Speaker 12 (21:14):
So even if the teleprope tried to cannot get their
roble to go into those homes, and also the role
telebrader can never connect to or what unless you approve it.

Speaker 10 (21:20):
Other companies like Figure and Tesla are also racing to
build humanoid robots, a lot of their own AI models
to make them fully autonomous. As someone who's always dreamed
of the home robot straight out of the Jetsons, they go.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
Home, Thanks for the reminder.

Speaker 10 (21:35):
The dream finally feels within reach, But I also couldn't.

Speaker 9 (21:39):
It's still pretty cooled the six seven.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
It did all it did the six seven hand thing,
but then that was.

Speaker 4 (21:48):
After it mentioned the Jetsons, which there's no way in
hell that gen Z knows about the Jetsons.

Speaker 2 (21:53):
Oh God, almighty.

Speaker 5 (21:55):
People who twenty thousand dollars robot know who the Jetsons are?

Speaker 2 (22:00):
I mean, that hasn't been on since what the sixties?

Speaker 10 (22:03):
Or dream finally feels within reach. But I also couldn't
shake flashes of ex.

Speaker 1 (22:08):
Machina, do you have a name?

Speaker 2 (22:10):
Ay?

Speaker 10 (22:10):
The hey, Neo turns on the stove and throws some
paper on and walks away. Can NEO do that? Will
Neo do that?

Speaker 9 (22:18):
Uh?

Speaker 1 (22:18):
Oh, Neil will't that?

Speaker 2 (22:19):
Yeah, we won't trust us again, trust us. Everything's fine.
The only thing I say to these resistors, these folks
who are saying, hey, this is actually junk, and they're
like a Wall Street journal saying I tried the robot.

Speaker 3 (22:34):
That's coming to live with you. It's still part human.

Speaker 2 (22:36):
Neo wants to be your housekeeper first and needs to
be controlled by a human in your home. Is that
cool with you? It's still like, this thing is not
the most expensive item out there. I mean, for a
robot like this at twenty thousand dollars, unless they hoodwink
us on this stuff.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
But does that change your mind on this at all?

Speaker 2 (22:54):
Let us know, send us a dispatch over at thenewsjunkie
dot com. All right, quick break, when we come back,
I have a police officer who got into big trouble.
A judge was very upset at this officer. You're going
to hear why the judge was upset. It's an awkward reason,
but that is coming up next in the News Junkie.

(23:32):
This is my favorite clip of the day, without a doubt.
I think I'll get to this in a police officer
getting in trouble in just a moment here. But you
can always join us on the show. Do not forget.
It's easy to do. You record what we call a
video or audio dispatch. That's just like your comments to
get you featured on the show, recorded on the Newsjunkie
dot com, and you'll be played back during the show

(23:52):
today or another day, who knows. But let's go to
this Detroit courtroom. Police officer is joining the zoom. All right,
he's a Dallas or a Detroit police officer, this guy
and they said Officer Jackson, are you there? And Matthew
Jackson goes yep, yes, sir, I'm here ready for court.
And Officer Jackson is my son Talloween Coston. That could

(24:15):
be yeah, And I just think I think.

Speaker 3 (24:18):
That he should not take away from what.

Speaker 2 (24:21):
This officer Jackson did, though, your son Jackson Sea Lane
should not do this part because this guy made the
dumbest decision.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
In the world.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
He was like, when is this court hearing? Oh god,
it's so early. I got to be in virtual court.
I gotta fire up the zoom that early in the morning.
Let's go into the court room and listen up.

Speaker 1 (24:41):
Here we go, you and you put your hears the record, please.

Speaker 3 (24:46):
Yes, off the Jackson All right, here we go.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
Here's Officer Jackson, who is wearing his police shirt and
his badge and all that stuff. He is not wearing pants.
Is he wearing shorts.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
It's a lot of crotch.

Speaker 2 (25:01):
He's wearing boxer shorts and he was on it. He's
so bad at technology that I guess he didn't understand
that it would be showing.

Speaker 3 (25:09):
The bottom half of his body.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
He's like, I'm here, pray my guy, I'm here. He
wasn't looking at himself back and so he has no
pants on.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
He's doing this.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
Court here out of twelve, think.

Speaker 1 (25:24):
All right, the judge is my favorite. He got you
got you got some pants?

Speaker 2 (25:34):
You got some pants on because he's just looking, wait,
what's going on right now?

Speaker 1 (25:41):
Are you pantsless?

Speaker 13 (25:42):
To this?

Speaker 2 (25:43):
To this officer, the judge is the best. Even the
other attorney was like, something's going on?

Speaker 1 (25:49):
You got some pants in the.

Speaker 3 (25:55):
No, sir, no, sir?

Speaker 2 (25:58):
Uh okay.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
He's like, all right, we move on with is right now.

Speaker 4 (26:05):
When he was answering the judge this is ain't gonna
have change, he is now holding the phone as close
as possible to his face.

Speaker 3 (26:11):
Yeah, why wouldn't you start out that way?

Speaker 2 (26:13):
Like there's a lot of stories about people in news
or elsewhere, and if they don't have to dress up
their whole body sometimes to wear shorts under the news
desk and then a suit on top, and you'll never
know the difference. But you have to take a look
at yourself and the camera first. Yeah, big, this guy
didn't do that. And then he's just sitting there in
his underwear and the judge is like, are you wearing

(26:34):
pants right now? Cause no, no, I'm not. So he
got in some trouble for this virtual court appearance. Here.

Speaker 5 (26:42):
Did they actually like Dingham or did he have any
sort of punishment?

Speaker 2 (26:46):
It says Detroit police said they're investigating and planning to
speak with all their officers. Can't be naked here, a right,
just blur out.

Speaker 4 (26:54):
I mean, that is one of the buttons when it
comes to any sort of video conference software, ZILM does
blurt out.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
So I spoke with Judge Perkins because I wanted to
know what went through his mind, how he handled the case.
He was stunned, he was shocked. He's a good person.
He wanted me to stress that Officer Jackson is a
very professional police officer. He's always been courteous to the citizens.
That's why it was a little bit stunning. But in
the future, the officers need to have their pants on
for any sort of virtual hearings. Now, you know, a

(27:24):
little Jackson gonna have his pants on when he's a
police officer. Can get away with it.

Speaker 5 (27:28):
Though, you know, it's just you know, police officer top
diaper bottom.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
Yeah, that's true. That's that's absolutely true. Before we get
to you and your feedback, email's coming in dispatches coming in,
of course. A couple of things I wanted to work
in it was like a nightmare day clips wise for me,
because I don't like flying.

Speaker 3 (27:47):
I hate it.

Speaker 2 (27:47):
I hate turbulence. I mean, I'll fly because it's just,
you know, it's the way to travel. I do that.

Speaker 3 (27:53):
I'll fly wherever I have to go, but I particularly
like it.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
Sean wants to ticket on an old wooden ship. No,
I mean, I'd take a cruise ship to go over
to England instead of flying if I could. It just
takes so damn long. But when we had Hurricane Melissa
roll through and wallap Jamaica.

Speaker 3 (28:11):
This week they released.

Speaker 2 (28:13):
More of this footage from the cabin of the Hurricane
Hunter plane and I, oh god, I can't take it.
It's a lot for me to watch. And these people
are just chilling, like you know, you have a maybe
something fun on the dashboard of your car. On the
dashboard of the Hurricane Hunter they have like a little

(28:33):
stuffed animal they got.

Speaker 1 (28:35):
It looks also terrified.

Speaker 2 (28:37):
Is that not like a little Halloween I think it's
like either a skeleton or an alien or something. I
don't know, but it's just chilling on the dash of
the Hurricane Hunter plane as they plow through Category five hurricanes.
And I'm just bobbing around. Are maybe some money? Oh
my gosh.

Speaker 1 (28:57):
I mean here's the thing.

Speaker 4 (28:58):
Oh that, oh Sea Lane knows a little bit more
piloting than we do. It's not typical you have someone
that is just manning the acceleration not the right name for.

Speaker 8 (29:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (29:13):
Usually it's one the pilot or the copilot.

Speaker 4 (29:15):
So it's that rough that we have just one person
dedicated to less or more.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
Yeah. And I think in the Hurricane Hunter plane you
have people just like totally honed in and zoned in
nightmare and they are flying along and this thing is
just bouncing folks.

Speaker 3 (29:31):
I know you can't see it.

Speaker 2 (29:32):
I'm gonna put it up on see it now for
you so we can break down that barrier for most
of you.

Speaker 3 (29:36):
But it's bouncing around like crazy.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
Just oh god, Oh I feel I start a dropping
just watching this. And if you're on this plane, if
you're on the Hurricane Hunter plane and you're doing this,
you know that there is no end in sight.

Speaker 3 (29:52):
This is going to keep happening for quite some time.

Speaker 1 (29:55):
In the middle of the eye is a like tiny moment.

Speaker 2 (29:58):
Of calm that I I'd be like, just circle around
like birds do, just circle around. I want to have
a word with the gate agent after this all is done.
Oh god, it seems so nightmares. These people are tough,
brave citizens. Oh I couldn't do it, but they are.
And uh they're braver than I am. It was a

(30:18):
rough week for people flying around. I guess because you
also had the president on Air Force one, bopping around
trying to do an interview, and turbulence hits on Air
Force one.

Speaker 3 (30:28):
I mean it was. It was that kind of weak
for this stuff. I think I have this too.

Speaker 1 (30:33):
It's a rough winds Asian, but I said, this is
a rough flight. You gouda waited an hour, mane. They're
bouncing around the ad.

Speaker 8 (30:42):
Tough conditions for interviews. You know they're gonna be watching truth.
They're gonna say he didn't look too good. He's got
the shakes. I don't have the shakes, but.

Speaker 5 (30:50):
People would think I do pray allies, are you creak?

Speaker 14 (30:53):
Well?

Speaker 1 (30:54):
Rough ride? This is this guy likes it. This is
uh huh.

Speaker 8 (30:57):
The interview is a tough enough without you know, without
your life, big thread you guys.

Speaker 1 (31:02):
Okay, the camera guy's very steady.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
Television. The difference between him and me is when the
turbulence hits like that, and I'm on a plane, I
can't really say a lot.

Speaker 4 (31:14):
Just clam up and you could see all the color
leave my face. And then if I am there with Nicole,
for example, you will see the bruise that is perfectly
in my hand.

Speaker 2 (31:24):
Right.

Speaker 1 (31:25):
Why are you wowing?

Speaker 4 (31:29):
Sometimes I fly with friends, family by myself, Christopher, Wow.

Speaker 2 (31:34):
This is you don't need to ratchet things up right
before we have a.

Speaker 4 (31:38):
I have a feeling, though it's very tense. We're in
three different places.

Speaker 1 (31:42):
I feel great, and he's always so chilly in Arkansas.

Speaker 5 (31:46):
He's got to fly to uh No, I'm on the
rough flight with the dreams like.

Speaker 1 (31:50):
It's shaky, pretty shaky. It's a.

Speaker 2 (31:54):
Do it you know when when it's not shaky, Sea
Lane's looking at it like, well, actually the ice cubes
floater out of my drink when I'm shaking like this, so.

Speaker 1 (32:02):
It's agitating, keeping it more delicious.

Speaker 2 (32:05):
Yeah, it's it's there's a there's a positive side of
all of this.

Speaker 3 (32:09):
It's really really great.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
Me.

Speaker 3 (32:11):
I'm I'm going this is a nightmare.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
I'm not really freaking out though I think this is
gonna be fun. I think it's gonna be I think
it's gonna go.

Speaker 3 (32:18):
Well, are you freaking out?

Speaker 1 (32:20):
So we're not?

Speaker 4 (32:21):
No, I thought we were talking about the plane still
would before all the Planet asked.

Speaker 3 (32:23):
Me, I shouldn't have put that on.

Speaker 2 (32:26):
I should not have put that on because putting that
on reminded me like, oh, hey, here's how this feels.

Speaker 3 (32:31):
So I don't want to do that necessarily.

Speaker 2 (32:34):
I will put it up, though, I'll put the one
of the Hurricane Hunters on. See it now, because it's
pretty wild to see. It's it's a pretty astonishing video.

Speaker 5 (32:43):
Would you, uh like watch that video in one of
those like four D movie theaters where they move your
seat around.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
No splash water on your face.

Speaker 2 (32:53):
No, No, I wouldn't even do that. I think it's
a different kind of person. I don't know what it is,
but there's something where you go, oh, I kind of
like this, I kind of get excited by this, and
for me, I just don't have that in me.

Speaker 3 (33:06):
I mean, you call me a pussy or whatever.

Speaker 2 (33:08):
But I just don't have the ability to go, well,
this will be fun. Actually, no, thank you, Hurricane Hunter Melissa.

Speaker 1 (33:18):
I'm putting this up, Melissa video.

Speaker 3 (33:21):
There you go, it's up.

Speaker 2 (33:21):
On. See it now, take a look over on the
Newsjunkie dot com and you can see what we're talking
about here. Dropping down the visual for you folks on
the audio side. All right, we are going to hear
from you and get into your responses. Let's see what
we got here. Some people are chiming in about the
roast event. That's fine. We'll get into some of your
comments about that as we roll on. Somebody says, I'm

(33:43):
in New Orleans right now, Michelle says to tips at
the Newsjunkie dot com. Congratulations, Michelle, What restaurant have you
raved about? She says, Oh, there's a ton of stuff
in New Orleans. You're in a good place. You can
trip and fall into some great restaurants.

Speaker 1 (34:01):
And I've done that.

Speaker 2 (34:03):
I do have a New Orleans list, which is at
thenewsjunkie dot com slash nola.

Speaker 3 (34:11):
Maybe let me just check. Yeah, that's it.

Speaker 2 (34:13):
Go to the news Junkie dot com slash Nola, Michelle,
and you could see some of the places there that
are pretty good and worth checking out. We'll get to
these recorded dispatches and your comments momentarily about I wanted
to tell you about this woman in Pennsylvania. Beautiful Brentwood, Pennsylvania. Everybody, man,
is it a place to be, But not near this

(34:35):
person because this woman is both in trouble and hurting
a little bit. Why well, investigators were sent out to
the Brentwood, Pennsylvania facility where this woman was staying. She
had severe burns on her face, her hands, and her hair.
And they said they found out very quickly what caused

(34:57):
this incident. You see, this is a woman on on
an oxygen machine. She's not doing so well healthwise. She
needs the oxygen machine to breathe a little bit. And
then they heard a bit of an explosion and they said, well,
what's going on here? They found out that this woman
started a fire and blew herself up when she tried

(35:20):
to light a crack pipe. Wow, oxygen machine.

Speaker 1 (35:25):
Which is never light a crack pipe.

Speaker 4 (35:27):
I've seen many of people smoking cigarettes well on oxygen machines.

Speaker 2 (35:31):
That's crazy too, man, I mean, that is that's next level.
I guess what you're thinking, like, I'm not long for
the world.

Speaker 4 (35:38):
Have a newport machine, probably because I've been smoking today
for thirty years.

Speaker 2 (35:44):
But you're like, I'm not getting out of this. This
isn't just turbulence, and I'm going to land. This plane
is crashing, so I might as well smoke a camel
on the way out here, I guess would be the thought.
Or or bore some crack for this. Lady Monique Henrickson,
fifty five years old of Pittsburgh, had severe burns to
her face, hands, and hair. She started the fire when
she tried to light a crack pipe while on oxygen

(36:07):
at the facility where she was. Let's check in with you.
Here is cosmic lunch meat with a dispatch about AI technology.

Speaker 1 (36:16):
Okay, let's see what we got here.

Speaker 13 (36:18):
I hope you guys are having a great day. You're
turning the show as always. I just had a quick
thought about AI robot. You got somebody sitting far off
in some lands plays with Oculus on training your robot.

Speaker 1 (36:30):
Wow, I just send the.

Speaker 13 (36:31):
Oculus with the roboto what you want and that might
be just as okay.

Speaker 5 (36:41):
As soon as they started talking about the robot, you
got a little interference.

Speaker 1 (36:45):
In the robot.

Speaker 3 (36:49):
But this needle company to shut this down.

Speaker 4 (36:51):
Obviously they don't want they're shutting it down.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
Oh they're still doing it right now. You just cleared up,
mister Okay, tell me what. I'm good. Good, I'm good,
all right. If I play this again, that almost seems
like a bit. If I play this again and it
goes robotic, then we know there's nefarious actors at play. Yes,
people are trying to put a stop to a cosmic lunch.

Speaker 13 (37:14):
Hey, they're all the junkies. Hope you guys are having
a great day, enjoying the show as always. I just
had a quick thought about that AI robot. If they
got somebody sitting far off in some land someplace else
with the Oculus on training your robot, Uh huh, why
don't they just send the oculus on with the robot
and have somebody on the phone and walk you through
how to do it so you can train it to

(37:35):
do as you want.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
Wow, that might be just as bad.

Speaker 2 (37:38):
I think that's part of it.

Speaker 13 (37:39):
I have that robot doing some pretty funky stuff, but
just better for privacy.

Speaker 3 (37:44):
Yeah, I think it maybe would be.

Speaker 2 (37:46):
But then now they're the business is selling robots and
throwing in a free Oculus Rift with it.

Speaker 1 (37:50):
How much would that go for you monthly?

Speaker 2 (37:53):
If you don't know the thing you're talking about. Oculus
Rift is a virtual reality headset which was one of
the first companies that started to make the big mass
media virtual reality headsets, and that's what they trained.

Speaker 3 (38:07):
This neo robot on.

Speaker 2 (38:10):
It seems like this is really really cool, and it's
like stage one and Stage one is cool and like, wow,
that robot went and did the dishes while I was gone.
That's cool, that's amazing. But Stage two and stage three
are gonna be the ones where you go, holy cow,
those are the game changers right there.

Speaker 3 (38:29):
What do you think? Let us know, send us a dispatch,
go to.

Speaker 2 (38:31):
Thenewschunki dot com, or right now when we come back.
A boyfriend's dying words, his literal last words. They pull
in close and they hear him say something and they
immediately put handcuffs on his girlfriend. What did this guy
say and his dying words that led to charges for

(38:52):
his girlfriend? Details coming up next, Done the news Junkie.

(39:12):
I always like to think my final words, my last words,
my dying words, would be something interesting.

Speaker 3 (39:19):
But I think in most cases it's not.

Speaker 2 (39:21):
I think in most cases you don't even really have
we I mean, you have the words that are your
final words, but there's not like a moment where you
go and then you could you could say anything you want.
It's it seems fun to do that in movies, or
seems dramatic to do that in movies, But it's not
usually a moment where I would be dying and I'd
be like.

Speaker 1 (39:41):
Tell Celane to delete the thing.

Speaker 2 (39:44):
And then people will go afterwards for years speculating like
what was the thing?

Speaker 4 (39:50):
Will go afterwards like what do you mean specifically what thing?

Speaker 2 (39:55):
But people would assume that he knew if I did that,
if I was, which would.

Speaker 5 (39:58):
Be a hilarious deathbed prank. Uh uh, well on the
way out, why not? I think I've told you guys
about before George Carlin's bit about how it would be
great if we all sort of like in the National
Football League, got a two minute warning before we were
about to die. That means you have two minutes to
either pick the most loving thing you want to say,

(40:21):
pick the most profound thing you want to say, or
half sentence, or to screw with people.

Speaker 2 (40:26):
Yeah, yeah, why not?

Speaker 1 (40:28):
And people do that.

Speaker 2 (40:29):
There's been people in history who've done that kind of stuff,
or famously, Walt Disney's last words, we're something about an
actor and forever people had no idea what he was
talking about.

Speaker 1 (40:40):
Yeah, because he was.

Speaker 4 (40:40):
Probably everyone thinks it's like the movies, but there are
a lot of people who.

Speaker 1 (40:44):
Have two hours worth of death gasps.

Speaker 4 (40:48):
Yeah, I have not been able to talk or have
been truly conscious for days prior to their death. And
then there's other ones who are in full dementia or
dementia is not the right word, but.

Speaker 1 (40:59):
I will forget.

Speaker 4 (41:00):
My mom told me when her dad was dying, he
used to be in the stock Exchange and Wall Street,
so he was looking up at numbers and the screen
that didn't exist, which is probably really freaky if your
dad's dying right in front of you.

Speaker 2 (41:18):
In the case of Walt Disney, he was dying and
he wrote down Kurt Russell. The weirdest thing being that
Kurt Russell was a fifteen year old boy at the time.

Speaker 1 (41:30):
Movies.

Speaker 2 (41:31):
Yeah, he did it, he had He had just put
him in some put in a contract for something else.
But even Kurt Russell, if you ask him to this day,
he's like, Hey, I don't know what the hell that
was about.

Speaker 1 (41:40):
Uh, that's so weird.

Speaker 2 (41:41):
But there's a guy in Florida, in palmcost And in Pumpcoast, Florida.

Speaker 3 (41:46):
This man was hanging on by a thread, and he.

Speaker 2 (41:50):
Got into a car crash with his girlfriend, and with
his last words, he said, she did it. She did
it because his girlfriend was in the car with him.
He's like, she did it, and I want to make
sure I don't care what happens, You'll get what you deserve,
he said.

Speaker 3 (42:07):
To do her.

Speaker 1 (42:08):
Oh, he ratted her out.

Speaker 2 (42:10):
Well, I mean, you know, and don't mean it to
be in a derogatory way, but he told the cops
that she had intentionally done this with his last words,
and they ended up coughing and arresting Leah Mumby, who's
facing vehicular homicide charges after her boyfriend's dying statement implicated her.

Speaker 3 (42:30):
Now they're doing an investigation.

Speaker 2 (42:32):
Here, crazy crazy twist and turns in this story like this,
like she was also pregnant at the time and she
just had the dead guy's baby, and that.

Speaker 1 (42:44):
She did it. She did it. She did it again,
the guy.

Speaker 2 (42:47):
Said in his final moments, his twenty two year old
Daniel Waterman said, here's the deal. We were fighting in
the car and she was angry at me, and she
intentionally caused this crash and smashed the car into a
tree to do it on purpose and as a result,
he was really really injured. She was going ninety miles

(43:09):
an hour straight into a tree. She survived, he did not.
But with his final words, he said, she did it.
She was the one who was responsible for this. Makes
you think about that stuff. I mean, those are valuable
last words because if you.

Speaker 1 (43:23):
Couldn't say anything on the way out and people.

Speaker 2 (43:25):
Were like, oh my god, she's just a victim of
this crash too. There was some horrible accident here and.

Speaker 1 (43:32):
You're like, no, no, I.

Speaker 2 (43:33):
Got to tell you about it. That is an unbelievable ending.
And now his family seeks justice against her a lot
of stuff. Wouldn't they still have to gather evidence that
she did it?

Speaker 1 (43:46):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (43:46):
Yeah, of course.

Speaker 5 (43:47):
You can't just be condemned to jail based on a bedside,
you know, deathbed confession.

Speaker 2 (43:54):
Her she could probably say like, hey, this guy was very,
very injured, up on drugs. Yeah, he's got drugs flowing
through his system. I don't know what the hell he
was talking about. We were having a great time, we
were having the best day of our lives, and then
now he's like delusional because he's on deaths door. I'm
sure she gonna say all of that stuff. I'm sure

(44:15):
she used that, which might be a good defense.

Speaker 13 (44:17):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (44:17):
We can to ask our attorney friend, Moses to Wit
at the de Wit Law Firm.

Speaker 5 (44:20):
At some point, I feel like I'm getting dejovu, Like
we've talked to him about death, bad kind of stuff before.

Speaker 1 (44:25):
Yeah, he won't get.

Speaker 2 (44:28):
The thing is I think you're right so, and it's
just like everything else, It'll all come down to what
evidence they can present. Did she floor the vehicle for
no reason? Can they prove that she was driving, et cetera,
et cetera.

Speaker 5 (44:39):
She would have to also, I mean, she could make
up a story about what she did. And he was
talking about that she did it, you know, yeah, right,
she made me happy.

Speaker 2 (44:50):
Although he said I think she did it she crashed
into the tree on purpose. A little more difficult if
that was exactly what was going on there. Okay, I
want to share a couple more things with you. I say,
it's been a crazy week for robots. You had this
robot neo that we were talking about that kind of
does some stuff and it seems like a big technological breakthrough.

(45:12):
We were talking about whether or not you would allow
a robot like that with cameras and stuff inside your house.
But I continue to see things that are more larming
to me than that out there. I continue to see
things like like this. This is the Australian military. They
did a demo video this week and they took a
robot and this is so dangerous. But they took a

(45:36):
robot and they attached a grenade launcher to it and
say less they they've recorded themselves, all right. They go
to put the grenade launcher into this robot robot and
it just fires off grenades like nothing. Targets cars like, okay,

(45:57):
nice car.

Speaker 1 (45:58):
They have to do that one.

Speaker 2 (46:03):
And it just firing off grenades on the field. Those
look like grenades, right, that was a grenade. Yeah, what
are you talking about?

Speaker 1 (46:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (46:12):
So if that's the rate of it going upstairs, then
the bad guys have plenty of time to get away.

Speaker 2 (46:18):
You can't hide anywhere if they got a grenade, though,
you go upstairs to hide from the roll bicker like
it's really bad at stairs, and.

Speaker 3 (46:23):
He goes, oh yeah, shoots.

Speaker 2 (46:25):
One grenade over at you.

Speaker 1 (46:29):
You're done, your toast.

Speaker 4 (46:30):
Man, they cut And those of you not watching on
the stream, I don't know if you're putting on see
it now.

Speaker 1 (46:34):
It looks cool. Background music obviously great.

Speaker 4 (46:37):
But they cut into the car not on fire, driving
and all of a sudden it was a wide shot
of the car already on fire, which leads me to
believe that's their goal, but they haven't gotten there yet.

Speaker 2 (46:49):
Well, I think you were right to suggest that this
vehicle they were testing out the targeting on was a
nice vehicle.

Speaker 3 (46:56):
But I don't think they wanted to blow up that one.

Speaker 2 (46:57):
They just wanted to test out the fact that it
could like target stuff and recognize and track a vehicle.
And they did that and then they shot out, right,
there's a grenade. Cool? Cool, all right, it's crazy frightening.
I mean you just hear this thing. They're running. There's

(47:20):
two of them running like little bugs. Oh that insane.
Takes a minute a yeah, But I mean imagine you're
out on the streets and this thing comes up to you.
Things stood up better than than me, not a little bit.
I think uh MPWs is so exaggerated, buddy. It's a

(47:41):
robot with a grenade launcher on it. What's to exaggerate?

Speaker 4 (47:45):
It takes a it for it to get up, So
you can kick it over and avoid the explosion, can
you not? Yeah, test before you put out the promo video.

Speaker 1 (47:53):
Let's do those tests.

Speaker 3 (47:55):
Here's the problem.

Speaker 2 (47:56):
You know, you've done this with all the robot videos
where you're like, well, look I still can't do this.

Speaker 3 (47:59):
Well, well, look still can't do this.

Speaker 2 (48:01):
Well, but every time it does other stuff better and
better and better and better, every time it gets more
ammunition or like software that allows it to target people,
and then eventually you're just gonna be like, well, actually,
now it flips over. Really well, now it shoots off
the grenades. It's a grenade launching dog robots. Now this

(48:21):
thing is crazy. This is all steps to that final
finish line of all of a sudden, we're normalizing robots
with weapons running around all over the place.

Speaker 3 (48:32):
Go check it out. It's amazing to see.

Speaker 2 (48:34):
Look at it over on the neewsjunky dot com in
the see it now section. All right, let's see we
got a bunch of people chiming in. I've had so
many people send me this video and I've never seen
anything quite like it. Honestly, I'm sure you guys have
probably seen it this week.

Speaker 1 (48:49):
At some point.

Speaker 2 (48:50):
This eighteen year old cheerleader that was shot at a
bonfire in Alabama. I have not seen that. No, Okay, well,
this poor young girl eighteen years old, she gets shot
and she's at this party in Alabama. And then she
was an organ donor. And as they were taking her

(49:12):
to God, I mean, I was gonna say, put her down,
but that's sounds.

Speaker 1 (49:17):
Terribly No, rip out the organs of her body support.

Speaker 2 (49:21):
Yeah, they're gonna take her off life support and do
the organ donations. They rolled her down the hallway. Yeah,
all of the kids, all the kids from her school.

Speaker 1 (49:32):
Oh no, it's so brutal. It's like, is beautiful in
a way doing this right now?

Speaker 2 (49:41):
Man, Like, oh my god.

Speaker 1 (49:48):
This is the hero walk. You've never heard of this.

Speaker 2 (49:50):
I've heard of things like this, But the thing I
thought was strange was I thought they usually did this
when somebody was going to be released.

Speaker 4 (49:57):
No, no, no, So like they will have this for
if someone finishes chemo treatment. They'll have people lined up
a little smaller ringing the bell. But whenever it's like
organ donation, especially with something like this, you know, a
freak accident death, they have every single nurse and doctor
lineup as they wiel the person down and then you

(50:19):
involved the high school friends.

Speaker 2 (50:20):
Yeah, the students from school to are crazy?

Speaker 5 (50:24):
Is that something As a nurse you just get used to.

Speaker 2 (50:27):
I think they get used to a lot of that stuff, really,
I do think. I think they compartmentalize a little bit.
You know, my mom was a nurse and she would
kind of be chill about a lot of stuff.

Speaker 3 (50:38):
She was a hospice nurse, so.

Speaker 2 (50:39):
You're living meeting people that die, meeting people that died.
But when she came home, she didn't talk about any
of that. Kind of amazing. I had not seen that before.
Let us know what your thoughts are. Sent a dispatch
over at thenewsjunkie dot.

Speaker 1 (50:52):
Com when we come back.

Speaker 2 (50:54):
We have a monkey on the Lucid a spirit Halloween
causing mayhem. What happened there? We have an up date
on the Louver jewelry heist. Will give you those details
and a whole lot more as Thursday's show continues.

Speaker 3 (51:07):
That's coming up next.

Speaker 2 (51:08):
In the news Chunkie, they released a trailer for Stranger Things.

(51:29):
I guess like the finale of Stranger Things. But I've
seen so many people and.

Speaker 1 (51:33):
I don't know if you're liars or not.

Speaker 2 (51:35):
Just yet I've seen so many people that are like,
it's been so long since that show is on, I'm
not even interested anymore.

Speaker 1 (51:42):
I'm not gonna be watching. We're gonna watch.

Speaker 4 (51:45):
But there are a lot of people and I feel
like that's what they hope for, is they're going to
rewatch everything. Now what I also have been seeing, which
is out of I don't know, is it out of
nowhere or is it perfectly timed? The cop Hopper, Hopper, Hopper, Yeah, yeah,
a lot of bad news, a lot of like, yeah,

(52:06):
he is getting I guess he was with Lily Allen
at some point.

Speaker 2 (52:10):
Yes, the guy who played Hopper, what's his name, The
actor David Harber, Harbor, David Harber is in Stranger Things.
He's the one who plays the police officer and his
career is popped off as a result of that. And
he was with this pop singer Lily Allen that you
may or might not have heard of, and I guess
they went through a divorce, and tons of stuff about

(52:31):
that is coming out right now time with this release
of the final season a Stranger.

Speaker 4 (52:37):
Things, it's like it's coming off that at least with
some folks are taking it as he was so nice
and he got this like he must be just like
his character and super cool on Heartfelt and then you
hear these stories where it's like not at all, but
you don't know to believe in why is it?

Speaker 1 (52:54):
Right before the season premieres?

Speaker 2 (52:56):
You know what David Harber's Red Flag was for me.
It's one of these ones that I see right now.
And then I saw him on There's a show on
YouTube which is basically like a modern day Cribs, like
MTV Cribs, and they go to the celebrities house and
they do the whole walk through tour of their house,
and David Harbor from Stranger Things that plays the cop

(53:17):
that guy.

Speaker 3 (53:18):
When they went to his house.

Speaker 2 (53:19):
He has this like small apartment in New York City,
and he kept on going on and on and on
about how he doesn't watch TV. He's like, yeah, there's
no TV in this room either, because I don't watch TV.
Yeah there's no TV here. We don't watch TV. We
just you know, we talk to each other. We don't
watch any TV. And it's like the people who will
tell you so much about how they don't watch TV,

(53:41):
number one, I usually think they're lying. And number two
I think it's a red flag. It's usually like a
strange individual And let me know if you've run into
this before. But I don't know how many of you
are gonna be on board. They release the new trailer,
they're trying to say, like stranger things, it's all gonna
wrap up. People say things like, well, it's been too long,
I can't go back and watch all of that. But

(54:02):
then when it's released, you see people who are already
paying for Netflix going okay, fun, and then they go
back and they watch the series. I think sometimes people
bitch more than they actually do something about this stuff.
But let us know if you plan to tune in
to all of that or if you're completely and totally
tapped down. As we go to this a Spirit Halloween store,

(54:24):
they're all over the place. You guys been to a
Spirit Halloween this Halloween season this year? No ye, No
weird vibes in a Spirit Halloween usually weird vibes on
account of the fact that it's not going to be
there for that long. But they've come up with like
a formula for just making a store that's only going

(54:45):
to be around a couple months. I thought they were
like expanding to Spirit Christmas where a bunch of the
Halloween stores are going to get a little quick, quickly makeover,
that's what they say. And they say they're going to
keep them moving for longer and turn it into a
Christmas store. Is the hops kipping a jump away from
just being a spirit holiday store all of the time
in this particular.

Speaker 5 (55:06):
Nobody would trust a year round spirit.

Speaker 2 (55:09):
In this particular Spirit Halloween. This it's it's always like
a dead carcass of another business. And they pop up
a Spirit Halloween and somehow, some way a monkey is
on the loose. They got a monkey loose in this
Spirit Halloween running around in the rafters, which I would
watch for at.

Speaker 3 (55:28):
Least a couple of hours.

Speaker 2 (55:30):
Now this obviously this is somebody's monkey. It's got a
diaper on it. Yeah, And the monkey is crawling into
the rafters at this Spirit Halloween store. I don't even
know who does one call?

Speaker 1 (55:42):
Who do you call monkey busters?

Speaker 2 (55:45):
The monkey it is? Yeah, but that person's got to
be in the store somewhere. The monkey is crawling around
the Spirit Halloween like it's some gigantic jungle gym for them.

Speaker 3 (55:55):
And I don't even know what.

Speaker 2 (55:57):
Kind of monkey this is, but it's the lankiest monkey
I've ever seen in my life. Is like very long
arms and tails and arms in a tail, and like
all appendages from this thing are long.

Speaker 3 (56:10):
It's got a diaper on.

Speaker 2 (56:11):
It's crawling all over the Spirit Halloween and was wandering
around for quite some time, they said, for more than
thirty minutes.

Speaker 3 (56:19):
They said, was Animal Kingdom live.

Speaker 2 (56:21):
My daughter looked up, said one of the people there,
and said, what in the world is that a real monkey?

Speaker 3 (56:27):
And they said they started to film.

Speaker 2 (56:28):
What was going on here. A store employee said, the
pet monkey period have gotten spooked by one of the animatronics,
just like sealand Sun, so they bad place to take
a monkey for the record. They bring the monkey in
past the stranger things displayed because it's been too long,
We're not going to look at that. And you go
up to the thing where there's always like a witch

(56:49):
or something, and it's sitting there and then boom, it
pops out and it freaked the monkey out, because of
course it did, and they should have seen the coming.
But the monkey was eventually captured and is okay, thankfully,
a positive end to the monkey. That's fox for and
NBCDFW in Dallas chronicling this minor disaster, very very quick,

(57:13):
quick disaster.

Speaker 1 (57:14):
There.

Speaker 2 (57:14):
Let's see what you got for us. A lot of
people are joining us on the show tips at the
news junkie dot com. Eric says, not only are those
hurricane hunters go see the video and see it now
on thenews junkie dot com. Not only are they bad asses,
Eric says, they're currently doing this without a paycheck due
to the government shutdown, which I assume is true. I

(57:36):
know that the government shutdown. They averted the payments not
going through for troops because I saw a story this
morning and said Trump's budget team rated three different financial
accounts to make sure US troops were paid on Friday.

Speaker 5 (57:51):
Didn't they finally name the guy who said he was
going to put up like a month's worth of pay
for the troops.

Speaker 2 (57:57):
Yeah, they did that.

Speaker 5 (57:58):
There was some big under who came out. It was
a name I had not heard, I was not familiar with.
But some billionaire.

Speaker 2 (58:05):
Yeah, one of those people who's mega rich but somehow
not that famous. And he had come forward and said, look,
if it, if it takes me coming in, I would
like to pay the military personnel when the government is
shut down, and now I guess that the military is
being paid. There's not a lot of move not a
lot of budget going on here on this month old shutdown.

(58:26):
They got five point three billion dollars together to make
the military's payroll by Friday, and they pulled it out
of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act and one point
four billion from Research, Development, Test and Evaluation funds, and
then the Defense Department had one point four billion put
it all together. They were able to keep paying at

(58:47):
least the military during the shutdown. But I guess that
doesn't include the hurricane hunters. I don't think they'd be
under the military, because it kind of seemed like they
could fit under there somehow, but probably not.

Speaker 3 (59:00):
All right, let us know what you think.

Speaker 2 (59:01):
Send us a dispatch or an email, tips tips at
thenewschunky dot com. When we return the next episode with Sabrina,
what's coming up on the next episode.

Speaker 1 (59:15):
I'll tell you right now and son of a Bitch,
this is but coming.

Speaker 4 (59:26):
Episode. Things not On my twenty twenty five bingo card,
a very very famous celebrity gets a membership to the
fake moon Landing Club.

Speaker 1 (59:35):
Which is interesting.

Speaker 4 (59:36):
Arnold Swarzenegger joins the Billionaires Club, and if you're ready
to get your spook on, I'm talking songs, films, TV shows, actors,
and more. Let's rip that Halloween knob right off. I'll
be so much work coming up on the next episode.

Speaker 2 (59:52):
And that is coming up next in the news junkie,

(01:00:12):
I gotta tell you getting ready for the roast event.
The one person I'm starting to get a little nervous
about is my son Dylan, who's gonna be.

Speaker 1 (01:00:20):
Introducing me for the roast event.

Speaker 4 (01:00:23):
And I hold it against him what he said.

Speaker 2 (01:00:27):
I don't care now, I'm not gonna hold it against it,
but I want to make sure, Okay, I said, why
don't you talk to Josh, you know, Josh Fowler. I
was like, he'll help you out and make sure that
your jokes are.

Speaker 3 (01:00:41):
Good to go.

Speaker 1 (01:00:42):
I'm sorry. Did you think that Josh was totally cool
and ready to do this? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (01:00:47):
Yeah, I thought. I think Josh is particularly good at this,
and I think that he would be a good person
to bounce stuff off of for somebody like Dylan. And
Dylan was allegedly doing that, and then he started to
send me back some of the jokes I was like,
did you have did you have Josh check these out?

Speaker 1 (01:01:06):
Did he approve these?

Speaker 2 (01:01:06):
And he's like, yeah, yeah, you thought this one was good.

Speaker 3 (01:01:09):
And here's one of the jokes he sent me, Dylan.

Speaker 1 (01:01:11):
I'm gonna not gonna use this one.

Speaker 3 (01:01:13):
No, said, he's not gonna use it. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:01:15):
And when he sent me this, I was like, what
what in the world You might have to click on
that to to see the full thing. I just oh, shoot,
I just sent it to him.

Speaker 5 (01:01:23):
I have done this before, I have done this move.

Speaker 2 (01:01:31):
He thinks I just sent him a black box because
it's a it's it's cut out, but if you click
on it, you'll see. And I was like, this is
a joke. You're gonna tellbody show the class. I sent
it to you. I don't want to spoil it. But
he just said to her and he's like, here's a joke
that I'm working on. And he's like, is it you

(01:01:52):
think it's too specific?

Speaker 1 (01:01:53):
And I bet you got a hold of my set,
I said.

Speaker 2 (01:01:56):
He said, yeah, I think I think I think that
might be a a little bit. I think he's over
our chat right now. Dylan, You're gonna do a great job.
You're gonna do a great job.

Speaker 1 (01:02:07):
I didn't.

Speaker 3 (01:02:07):
I'm not showing anybody else.

Speaker 1 (01:02:09):
Your dad rip them apart.

Speaker 4 (01:02:12):
Twenty three, twenty two, twenty three years of material, twenty.

Speaker 2 (01:02:16):
Five yeah right, yeaheah, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, he's twenty
five these days. Wild, but he's he's getting ready. He's
going to be there for those you who are in
attendance tonight. For those who aren't, you're crazy, you're out
of your mind. But you might be able to see it.
You might be able to see it. At some point later.
We're gonna have a video special of this that we
release probably hopefully fingers crossed before the end of the year.

(01:02:39):
Right now, let's get into it. Let's do the next episode, because.

Speaker 6 (01:02:44):
There's a lot on TV and you can't possibly keep
up with all of it, even though you should, because
what else are you going to talk about?

Speaker 2 (01:02:49):
It's about a thousand times, But I thought, who is?
I thought it was hilarious?

Speaker 5 (01:02:54):
No, you know, look look look, no look a no,
look it was on Instagram.

Speaker 6 (01:03:01):
Nothing nice episode with Sabrinay.

Speaker 1 (01:03:14):
Hold up.

Speaker 4 (01:03:15):
The next episode brought to you by That Mortgage Guy Don,
That Mortgage Guy Don dot Com, the Home Loans radio
show and a proud sponsor of the upcoming roast of Sean.

Speaker 5 (01:03:25):
Who us in the upcoming makes it sound like it's
not in a few hours.

Speaker 1 (01:03:29):
I know it is not.

Speaker 4 (01:03:30):
A maybe it's in the past, depending on when you
hear it.

Speaker 2 (01:03:36):
Up upcoming does make me feel less stressed, because then
all seriousness is not.

Speaker 1 (01:03:42):
Far from now. So close and so scared. But don't
be scared.

Speaker 4 (01:03:46):
If you're looking to refinance her by your first dream home,
deconsolidation helocks, start a business, expand your business. Work with
that mortgage guy. Don he's got your back. He's so smart,
and she's at that mortgage guy down dot com.

Speaker 1 (01:04:00):
Don't miss the voc dot com wait for it.

Speaker 4 (01:04:10):
Twenty seven years ago, nineteen ninety eight, this band right Here,
Kissers Right and Kiss kicked off their Psycho Circus Kiss
Psycho Circus with a Halloween extravaganza and Los Angeles. Their
opening act was the Smashing Pumpkins. Because it's Halloween, they

(01:04:32):
tricked and they treated everyone in the audience because they
dressed up as this group right here actually twelve points
on the board.

Speaker 1 (01:04:40):
Pick against Whisp. Damn that was quick. Or you're hacking
into my computer.

Speaker 2 (01:04:46):
Nope, he just remembered last year.

Speaker 1 (01:04:48):
No, I mean interesting to bring up every year.

Speaker 5 (01:04:51):
It seems like a like a like a so much
so far from where Kiss would be, that it would
be a fun Halloween costume for them.

Speaker 4 (01:04:58):
No, No, that wasn't Kiss Pumpkins, Kiss dressed never mind
Kiss dressed up as Kiss. And the concert was the
first to be a three D viewing screen, so.

Speaker 5 (01:05:11):
Kiss should have just came out without makeup.

Speaker 4 (01:05:13):
Paul Stanley put his crotch up to the three D
camera and said looks.

Speaker 1 (01:05:18):
Bigger this way, don't it. Mm hmm. Trick or treat. No,
that's what he did. And they were dressed as themselves,
so exciting.

Speaker 4 (01:05:27):
And now this person right here is dressing up as
a not one, not two, not three, but full blown
billionaire son of a bitch. Arnold Schwarzenegger, that is correct,
joined the billionaire club one point two billion dollars according
to the Internet Wow Forbes dot com to be exact,

(01:05:50):
one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood. Arnold Schwarzenegger
has earned some five hundred million dollars before Texas and
Peace and paychecks and props sharing deals from his movies.
He made even more from early bets on everything from
California real estate to stakes in some of the world's
most valuable brands. One of his best bets he bought
Minority Steak in David Booth's Dimensional Fund Advisors.

Speaker 1 (01:06:16):
WHOA wow, it.

Speaker 4 (01:06:18):
Was managing twelve billion in assets and Jesus. He also
continues to own several businesses. They have Oak Productions, film
and production, fitness publications, film and trademarketing company called Pump
Up for America.

Speaker 1 (01:06:36):
And that's it.

Speaker 4 (01:06:37):
So congratulations to Arnold getting that billion nice membership.

Speaker 5 (01:06:41):
It's about time. I think it's a shame Arnold's never
been a billionaire.

Speaker 4 (01:06:45):
I'm so glad he is, and someone who is Kim
Kardashian officially a billionaire.

Speaker 2 (01:06:50):
Yeah, I think so. I think so.

Speaker 4 (01:06:52):
One of the club members is going to put our
money where her mouth is and instead of money where
her mouth is is just conspiracy theories spewing out. Kim
Kardashian the latest to say the moon landing didn't happen.

Speaker 1 (01:07:08):
Happen?

Speaker 2 (01:07:09):
God been.

Speaker 13 (01:07:11):
She?

Speaker 4 (01:07:12):
I mean, it's just so funny to me. So, the
new season is on Hulu of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
The first headline that I remember seeing last week or
the week before, was she had an aneurysm because of
all the drama with Kanye and that was part of
the teaser. And now Kim Kardashian doesn't think the moon

(01:07:32):
landing actually happened. So we have nothing else at all
but some old ass conspiracy theories Geez did have been
proven correct, but it came up during a conversation between
her and Sarah Paulson. I guess they're in a new
legal drama coming up. Good on Kim Kardashian to get
another acting job despite being a horrific actress.

Speaker 3 (01:07:56):
In my line, wow, you're coming at her?

Speaker 1 (01:07:58):
Did you see the American or story that you I
didn't see that season, I.

Speaker 4 (01:08:02):
Don't think And tell me if I'm coming at her
heart or just being completely.

Speaker 1 (01:08:07):
Honest, I was.

Speaker 3 (01:08:08):
I forgot what Caesar she was.

Speaker 1 (01:08:09):
It wasn't that long ago, right, It was going with
em Roberts.

Speaker 2 (01:08:13):
I think, honestly, I think there's several seasons of that
American horror story where there's a lot of bad acting
in it, so it kind.

Speaker 3 (01:08:20):
Of just would blend style.

Speaker 4 (01:08:22):
Yeah, someone who is not on earth but has gonna
be making a lot of money in his a state
I guess love Buzz It is nineteen ninety eight, a
cover of a twenty year old song by a Dutch
band called Shocking Blue. But what seven inch vinyl pressing
of a band is now going up for auction.

Speaker 1 (01:08:45):
Lots of money.

Speaker 4 (01:08:49):
It's like their first record that was ever played on
the radio.

Speaker 2 (01:08:53):
Oh wow, thought they got played on the radio with records.

Speaker 1 (01:08:57):
That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 4 (01:08:58):
But a guy named Scott Vanderpool from sub Pop Records
got a test pressing of it.

Speaker 1 (01:09:03):
As soon as it arrived in the mail.

Speaker 4 (01:09:04):
He turned around, played it on the Seattle radio show,
and that very same seven inch finyl is on the.

Speaker 1 (01:09:10):
Auction block and as of last.

Speaker 4 (01:09:14):
Night, depending on when you're reading this or hearing it,
it was up to how much money gentlemen?

Speaker 2 (01:09:19):
Oh man, Oh look, the source of this is dead
On because that's the label that Nirvana was attached to it.

Speaker 5 (01:09:26):
It's so weird when I hear that they were on
sub Pop, because I always I didn't know they were
that old. I always think of them as like postal service,
you know. Yeah, And what I mean.

Speaker 2 (01:09:34):
To say is like this, I immediately give a credibility
if it's the guy from sub Pop records. He's like,
I had this one record press, brought it to the
radio station, got them to play the record. This is
the first time they were played on air.

Speaker 1 (01:09:45):
That's pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (01:09:47):
I'll say it went for ninety thousand dollars.

Speaker 1 (01:09:55):
Okay, eighty nine thousand dollars. As of last night, the
bidding was up to five hundred dollars.

Speaker 2 (01:10:01):
Oh okay, So it's it's still.

Speaker 4 (01:10:04):
The money and happy Halloween everybody.

Speaker 1 (01:10:11):
The season.

Speaker 4 (01:10:12):
So let's blow through some Halloween related entertainment stories that
have been sitting on all month. First and foremost, Peloton
teamed up with Jason Vorhees and Friday the thirteenth to
create three that's right, three themed classes for members. So
I'm gonna take off all the coats and scarves and
the dust from my peloton and get an exclusive shirt

(01:10:33):
that is also for sale if you have Jason saying
and leading your class.

Speaker 1 (01:10:39):
Peloton is that faded out.

Speaker 4 (01:10:43):
Big piece of drunk in my living room? And by drunk,
I mean I'm just refusing to exercise.

Speaker 3 (01:10:49):
You got on it once or something and.

Speaker 4 (01:10:51):
Then I got stuck in it and I'm a little traumatized.
Who's your favorite scream queen? Ranker dot Com. Ask the
fans and nonumber one everyone with just majority rule, who
do you think it's going to be?

Speaker 2 (01:11:06):
Who's your favorite Scream queen?

Speaker 1 (01:11:09):
That is, actresses tied into.

Speaker 2 (01:11:11):
The Scream franchise, no.

Speaker 1 (01:11:13):
Just Halloween related films.

Speaker 2 (01:11:15):
Do they have to be like young or any any
woman in a horror movie?

Speaker 4 (01:11:20):
Maybe it's been rewatched a million times, many movies in
this franchise made it.

Speaker 2 (01:11:25):
Come back to them, see, because mine isn't what people
are gonna guess. I don't think, but I would say
Jamie Lee Curtis.

Speaker 1 (01:11:31):
That is correct. Points I thought she was too old.

Speaker 2 (01:11:36):
I thought people would pick like a younger person.

Speaker 4 (01:11:38):
Yep, it was Jamie Lee Curtis rank the Scream Queen
of horror by fans. Nev Campbell comes in at number two,
and Jamie Lee's mama, Janeitly is in third, so congratulations.
At fourth Heather Langdon Camp from Nightmare from the Street.

Speaker 2 (01:11:57):
Yep.

Speaker 4 (01:11:57):
We also have the best twenty five horror horror villains
of all time.

Speaker 1 (01:12:01):
At number twenty five. Oh boy, I'm kidding.

Speaker 4 (01:12:04):
The number one count Dracula really yep. Hannibal Lecture at
number two. Frankenstein's Monster at three Normous.

Speaker 2 (01:12:14):
Dracula beat Hannibal Lecter.

Speaker 4 (01:12:16):
Yeah right, one dime, two dimes, twenty five times.

Speaker 2 (01:12:22):
I don't even think Dracula is scary.

Speaker 1 (01:12:24):
Godzilla was also at number nine. Godzilla. I don't watch
Godzilla during Halloween, do you guys?

Speaker 2 (01:12:30):
No, I don't even view it as a Halloween movie. Yeah,
I don't watch Godzilla during the normal year.

Speaker 1 (01:12:36):
I have never watched Godzilla now that we're talking about it.

Speaker 4 (01:12:39):
And finally, if you're looking to put some Halloween in
your mouth, then these.

Speaker 1 (01:12:44):
Guys and on a full circle it if you were listening, yes,
begain Nope.

Speaker 5 (01:12:49):
Smashing pumpkins, that's the world.

Speaker 15 (01:12:51):
Is a.

Speaker 1 (01:12:55):
And they want you to suck.

Speaker 4 (01:12:57):
They're Smoothie they have now it's teamed up with smoothieh one,
Smoothie Booze.

Speaker 1 (01:13:04):
It's smoothie.

Speaker 3 (01:13:05):
Yeah, I got it.

Speaker 1 (01:13:06):
I got it.

Speaker 4 (01:13:07):
Uh Year one Unite, You're run, You're a one Unite.
It's mashing pumpkins and everyone's favorite upscale organic grocery store
that it's clearly not anywhere near my house. They come
together to launch a new smoothie called og Goth. Yeah,
and you can sip on it.

Speaker 1 (01:13:27):
So many good things for you.

Speaker 4 (01:13:29):
And when you think smashing pumpkins, you think healthy smoothies,
don't you.

Speaker 5 (01:13:34):
According to one article, it's twenty dollars and it's terrible.

Speaker 1 (01:13:38):
Why right, a twenty dollars smoothie? How many ounces? I'm
not un particular.

Speaker 4 (01:13:45):
Yeah, delete, delete what I said. Just drink booze or water.
Father your dreams. Send me on Instagram, Mats and Breenmera.

Speaker 1 (01:13:51):
Have a happy Halloween and most of bornly stay with me.
Man smoke weed every day. Thank you, Sabrina.

Speaker 2 (01:14:02):
Yeah, when I hear screen queen, I always think like
I always think it's like the younger woman, like the
hot show that moment. I didn't even think about that.
I think about I think about women in popular horror
movies who are usually like the young hot thing of
the moment in Hollywood. So I wouldn't have thought that
they were going to pick Jamie Lee Curtis. But she

(01:14:23):
was fantastic in the Halloween reboot that I'm always blown
away but was done by Danny McBride. Danny McBride was
one of the major people behind fun in There a
little bit here and there, it was mostly just focused
on being like a good, solid horror movie, which he
was that was.

Speaker 3 (01:14:44):
I got a correction. I was wrong.

Speaker 5 (01:14:48):
Smashing Pumpkins Smoothie is not twenty dollars good, it's nineteen
seventy nine.

Speaker 2 (01:14:54):
Oh god, song boom, that's even worse.

Speaker 5 (01:14:59):
I'm not dumb after tax you're like, you know, twenty
two seventy six or something like that.

Speaker 3 (01:15:04):
Yeah, all right, we are going to a quick break.
When we come back. We'll get into the second half
of the show today. For most of you.

Speaker 2 (01:15:10):
If you aren't catching the whole show, get the whole
podcast for free over on iHeartRadio. Search for The News
Junkie and subscribe today.

Speaker 3 (01:15:18):
We'll get back with your comments.

Speaker 2 (01:15:20):
We got big old updates, huge honking updates on that
Paris Museum heights. Now they got more people in custody.
But have they found the one hundred million dollars worth
of jewels they stole? That's what we got to figure
out together. That is on the way. It's coming up
next in the News Junkie. Just in case you're tuning

(01:15:59):
in and you're headed to the At six thirty is
when they start letting people in the tickets. Seven o'clock
is when the venue opens up to people. At six thirty.
I think they're like a bar lounge area. Then they
open up Judson's Live at seven o'clock. The Rose will
start promptly at eight o'clock, and fingers crossed, hopefully all
goes well. I mean, what could really go wrong? What

(01:16:19):
could really go wrong? Side that would be bad?

Speaker 1 (01:16:26):
I would go if you're asking go wrong those things
that would be bad?

Speaker 2 (01:16:32):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:16:32):
All clear.

Speaker 2 (01:16:33):
Dylan set with him on that level, be like, hey,
just make sure no cramers right, we're not doing Yeah,
it probably not connected.

Speaker 5 (01:16:42):
He's like, I don't worry. I won't say the word Cramer.
That's what you want.

Speaker 3 (01:16:46):
I think everybody will be good.

Speaker 2 (01:16:47):
But I did hear that people were going into the
news junkie Discord and going to the fans to drum
up information about a out the show about me, in
particular to have roast material. And I was so let
down that the Discord people were like, okay, fine, and

(01:17:09):
they just served up stuff on a on a silver platter.

Speaker 1 (01:17:13):
Must be nice to get.

Speaker 3 (01:17:17):
I guess.

Speaker 2 (01:17:17):
I guess people were going to the Discord and they
were chumming the waters.

Speaker 1 (01:17:22):
Just say it, Josh.

Speaker 2 (01:17:24):
Multiple people most feeling no ceiling. No it wasn't ceiling
and Josh were me. Why why would I do this
and then tell you about it?

Speaker 1 (01:17:31):
Like it was not me?

Speaker 5 (01:17:32):
Clearly it would be people that, uh aren't that don't
talk to us every day.

Speaker 2 (01:17:38):
Yeah, and it's people who are looking for jokes about me,
so you know I'm not doing that. Uh. They weaponized
the discord, which is kind of unbelievable. All day yucker
Is on Twitch says, I can't believe Sean's friend Chay
would have that happen to him at the roast and
Jay Jay and my black friend from high school. Yeah, yeah,

(01:17:58):
he will not be there. Fortunately, I haven't seen him
in many, many years.

Speaker 1 (01:18:02):
Also, does he remember you?

Speaker 5 (01:18:04):
He as I've never heard of this Chay.

Speaker 2 (01:18:07):
Yeah. I talked about Chay on the show before. Yeah,
I'm mentioned him not too long ago. I had to
tell you guys that he name you could think of, like, no, Michael, No,
it was my friend man when I was in elementary school,
in middle school, Chay was my one of my friends.
I have no idea I was a kid when I

(01:18:28):
hung out with him, but I got invited to his
birthday and my dad in the funniest of ways that
my dad would do. He goes, Okay, we're going to
this birthday party and I said yeah, and he's like,
where's the directions. Okay, here's the direction. And he drops
me off at the birthday party and I go inside

(01:18:49):
with the president and he's like, okay, well, we'll be
back to pick you up in a couple hours. He
comes back to pick me up and they knock on
the door to come inside. And when we're leaving, my
dad goes, you didn't tell me your friend was black?

Speaker 1 (01:19:02):
Wow, jeez, in front of parents. No.

Speaker 3 (01:19:05):
No, no, no.

Speaker 2 (01:19:05):
When when we're driving home we're leaving the house, he's like,
you didn't tell me your friend was black. And being
a little kid, you know, you just don't care about anything,
I was like, why would that be a thing, But
I was like, no, it's great, it's really it's really great.

Speaker 1 (01:19:19):
That impression you do. He did know.

Speaker 2 (01:19:23):
He did not have me.

Speaker 3 (01:19:24):
Did not whip out the Bonys impression.

Speaker 5 (01:19:27):
I had a sleepover birthday party and when my mom
was like, where where is it? And I told her
the neighborhood that it was in and she was like,
oh that's all. I was like, oh yeah, it was
a yeah, it was it was a good neighbor.

Speaker 2 (01:19:42):
No, this this was like not far from where I lived.
But my parents I had not brought a black friend
home at that point in time, or they didn't know
from me talking about my friends anything about that because
I didn't, you know, I still don't to this day,
like talking those kind of phrases, identity being like the
lead on everything. But my dad was wow, say anything

(01:20:03):
about this. So Chay probably doesn't remember me, I wouldn't think,
but he's probably around out there somewhere who knows. One
of the lamest things that rich people do. And I
mean this with all of my heart. This has been
taking off a lot, and I think it's super lame.
I think it's stolen valor on some level. We can

(01:20:25):
dice that out in a second. But one thing that
rich people do that's lame is they buy creative things
to be done to like, let's say their house, like
Christmas light displays.

Speaker 1 (01:20:40):
But you didn't set.

Speaker 2 (01:20:41):
Up the Christmas lights, you didn't hang the Christmas lights,
you didn't put the displays in your yard.

Speaker 1 (01:20:48):
He wants to give his full sentence up before we
say anything.

Speaker 2 (01:20:51):
You paid the people who came out and like put
up a display, and then at the end of the
season they come pick it up and it's not.

Speaker 3 (01:20:58):
Yours or anything in valor for the holidays.

Speaker 1 (01:21:02):
Is just holiday kind of stuff or is it stolen valor?
When it comes to hiring someone to put stuff up
between the holidays, we'll call it.

Speaker 3 (01:21:11):
I don't know. It depends on what you're talking about.

Speaker 2 (01:21:13):
I'm saying when you make it look like it's your creativity.

Speaker 3 (01:21:16):
So for instance, if you add.

Speaker 2 (01:21:17):
A Halloween display at your house or a Christmas light
display at your house, and everybody drives by and they're like, whoa,
that's amazing, and you're like, Okay, you.

Speaker 1 (01:21:26):
Didn't even do it. You didn't do it.

Speaker 2 (01:21:28):
You hired a person to come out like a crew,
and they use their artistry to string up lights in
a cool display that all your friends are impressed by.
I think that feels like stolen valor. What's the example
you're giving, Sabrina?

Speaker 13 (01:21:43):
What tell you.

Speaker 1 (01:21:44):
Always task rabbit people to do stuff that.

Speaker 3 (01:21:47):
I have never used task rabbit in my life. I
have not used that.

Speaker 2 (01:21:53):
Austin does a lot of stuff, but he does stuff
for the studio. I've never done anything like that where
it's like decorating or creating a display that would look
like it was mine, like my neighbors. I talked about
how they put the skeletons out there in funny scenes
every day, like if they were to be hiring a
crew and the crew whiteboard's ideas and like, Okay, on
this day, we'll have the skeletons doing this, and they

(01:22:15):
put them all out there.

Speaker 1 (01:22:16):
That's lame. Yeah, it's a very rich person thing to do.

Speaker 2 (01:22:19):
I don't like it. I think it's lame.

Speaker 5 (01:22:20):
I was just I was getting a little defensive because
I did not hang my own lights.

Speaker 2 (01:22:27):
You but you put your skeletons up. Yeah we did.

Speaker 1 (01:22:29):
Yeah, Yeah, hired someone to put the lights up.

Speaker 3 (01:22:33):
Yeah that's different.

Speaker 1 (01:22:34):
Those are year round lights.

Speaker 2 (01:22:35):
But I programmed the lights.

Speaker 1 (01:22:37):
So yeahs basically mine.

Speaker 2 (01:22:40):
Yeah that counts unless you're on some kind of forum
somewhere and they're like, here's the code for the Ultimate
Halloween Extravaganza light fests. If they did that, it would
be different. But you put up your stuff. That seems fine.
This is the height of weirdness and lameness to me.
There's a company that's exploding in popularity this year and
they and they operate in Austin, Texas, and they completely

(01:23:03):
sold out because they had thirteen hundred of these available,
all right. And what they do is they give you your
jack Lanterer and your pumpkin, your carved pumpkin for Halloween
that you're going to put on display somewhere, and then
people will put it out and we go, oh my god,
look at the pumpkin they made for this house.

Speaker 5 (01:23:23):
It would be really awkward or weird if you like
took that to a pumpkin carving contest.

Speaker 1 (01:23:28):
Right, It's a cheating, is what it would be.

Speaker 2 (01:23:30):
Out the thing they charge get this alle hundred and
eighty five dollars per pumpkin, and you get a pumpkin
and they carve it out what they like.

Speaker 1 (01:23:42):
If I go to their website, they have designs that
you can pick from.

Speaker 2 (01:23:45):
Porch Pumpkins is the name of the company that I'm
looking at as the team that chooses here. They said,
people love the grand prize pumpkins. Some of these are
really huge. They sell for up to one hundred and
eighty five dollars and they've completely sold out. Some of
them are Jackie Lanner and some of them are like
can you just big old pumpkins to begin with, what

(01:24:05):
do you want to call them?

Speaker 1 (01:24:06):
Is one hundred and eighty included in that?

Speaker 2 (01:24:08):
Or you have a you know what? It might get
more expensive than that. But I feel like I don't
care what your level of talent is. I don't care
how good it is or how simple it is. You
should do your own and then that's more fun. That's
much like, you should do it, and you should do
it with your family, get together, carve out the pump kids.

Speaker 1 (01:24:28):
It's fun.

Speaker 4 (01:24:28):
But I can see also a lot of people that
want to like they're already behind in their schedule and
they want to get their Halloween decorations out and now
it's too late, but they can hire someone doesn't in
a day pick up extra box. Sure the fun is gone,
but at least your house looks cool.

Speaker 2 (01:24:46):
That's what everybody's doing now though. They all do this
thing where they go, well, the full schedule, kids to
all the soccer games, and then they take their involvement
out of it. The place is pretty crazy. They do
amazing displays. Okay, yeah, they're not even these pumpkins. They're
just these ones. These ones are just the ones I've

(01:25:07):
seen just look like massive stacks of.

Speaker 5 (01:25:09):
They're just yeah, there're packages of just bunches and bunches
of pumpkins that they ship to you and I think
probably set out there for free.

Speaker 2 (01:25:17):
The package number one is one and fifty bucks.

Speaker 1 (01:25:22):
Oh my god. All right, can you see a picture
of package number one?

Speaker 2 (01:25:26):
Yes, if this is it, she's the woman is at
a house and package number one.

Speaker 3 (01:25:31):
It's a lot of pumpkins.

Speaker 2 (01:25:33):
Like there's pumpkins everywhere in this photo, all in front
of the front door of this happen.

Speaker 1 (01:25:37):
Big one, small ones, some as big as your head.

Speaker 4 (01:25:39):
Thousand dollars is insane. Fifty that like balloon arc vibe,
you know, like the new thing is the balloon arches.
But it's all little balloons and they all set it
up and some more. Yeah, at home is putting it
together and charging probably just as much for something you
have to throw away.

Speaker 3 (01:26:00):
This is a lot. Here's what you get.

Speaker 2 (01:26:01):
Thirteen hundred and fifty dollars, two Grand Prize pumpkins, ten
large jack lanterns, eight medium jack of landards.

Speaker 5 (01:26:08):
The grand the Grand Prize pumpkins they sell for one
hundred and eighty.

Speaker 2 (01:26:11):
Five bucks apiece. Jesus, what is a jack o lantern.
Then if it's not carved or anything, what does that mean?

Speaker 1 (01:26:19):
As Jack Lantern was the car pumpkin with the lightnings.

Speaker 3 (01:26:22):
That's what I thought.

Speaker 2 (01:26:23):
Yeah, I thought Jack Lanner was like you carve it
out with the eyes and the mouth and stuff, and
then it becomes a jack of lantern.

Speaker 3 (01:26:28):
It says lantern right in it.

Speaker 2 (01:26:30):
Eight white ghost pumpkins in a sortment of pie pumpkins,
sixteen specialty pumpkins, and three hay bales and a bunch
of other stuff that they throw in thirteen and fifty dollars.
The rich people, they just go, here you go, here's money.
You're good to go. Pumpkins stylists is what they're calling themselves,
Pumpkin stylists. The Wall Street Journal writing about how they

(01:26:51):
are really, really successful this year. This is just one
of the companies that has been getting into this business
as of late. But there you go, they're sold out.
You can't get the porch pumpkins. You might be able
to get something else. Let us know what you think.
Send us a dispatch over at thenewsjunkie dot com. Big ups,
by the way to all of the big baseball fans

(01:27:13):
out there who have been watching the World Series. Congratulations,
you know you have seen it come come down to it.
The Blue Jays strike had an early strike with back
to back homers to top Dodgers in Game five. You
can tell I know about this baseball stuff until I'm
nailing this right now. But now it is Game five

(01:27:35):
that they just won. The Blue Jays they're headed to
Game six as they continue on with the World Series.

Speaker 1 (01:27:41):
I feel like those the least talked about World series
we've had in years.

Speaker 2 (01:27:44):
Well, a lot of people were talking about how long
that game.

Speaker 1 (01:27:46):
Went on for, but three am for some places.

Speaker 2 (01:27:49):
Otherwise, I'm not in the world of baseball, as you
very much can tell. I'm not in the world of baseball,
so I don't really keep up with it. I'm sure
people are having fun. Let us know if you're watching
out there.

Speaker 5 (01:28:00):
I'm excited because the Blue Jays were my very first
favorite baseball team.

Speaker 2 (01:28:05):
Oh really, Yeah, you want to know why?

Speaker 3 (01:28:07):
Why I don't?

Speaker 2 (01:28:08):
I don't know. I think you just picked them.

Speaker 5 (01:28:11):
I think because I was so young, I don't like
so I didn't know anything about baseball. I think I
literally just picked the Blue Jays because I liked the name,
the names.

Speaker 2 (01:28:23):
Yeah, that was like when I pretended for three weeks
to like the Chicago Bears when I was a little
kid because my uncle gave me a little bear stuffed thing.

Speaker 5 (01:28:31):
Sometimes that's all it takes. That's why they sell so
much of that crap.

Speaker 3 (01:28:34):
And I've been watching it.

Speaker 2 (01:28:35):
I'd be watching the Bears play alone in my room,
and after three weeks, I was like, I don't really
care about this. I am having a hard time faking
my interest.

Speaker 5 (01:28:43):
There was I remember, like, the only reason I remember
this is we had this like five and a quarter
floppy trivia game that that was on one of our
first computers, and you could, in addition to playing the trivia,
you could add questions of your own. And when I
figured it out, I add what is Chris's favorite baseball team?
And it was the Toronto Blue Jays. Oh, I don't

(01:29:03):
even know if I knew Toronto. I just knew Blue Jays.
I don't know what to make of this. A video
dispatch coming in? Is this my future I'm looking at?

Speaker 2 (01:29:12):
Is this the inevitability of what's going to happen on
this show at some.

Speaker 1 (01:29:16):
Point in time? What's happening?

Speaker 2 (01:29:17):
Take a look this video dispatch has I've been replaced.

Speaker 1 (01:29:23):
I've been replaced in my chairs. Have the same eyes.

Speaker 5 (01:29:26):
That's crazy, and the same hat.

Speaker 2 (01:29:30):
It is my hat, but it is Neo the robot
with the headphones on taking over in the studio. I
don't know how this is going to go, but let's see.
Maybe it's convincing. Maybe this is just looking into my future.
It's the Neo Junkie on Real Radio one on four
point one.

Speaker 1 (01:29:48):
Our robot fingers on the pulse and our robot ears
to the ground. It's not too far off.

Speaker 2 (01:29:54):
Yeah, moving around and behind them.

Speaker 1 (01:29:57):
Let's get that robot burb a little bit between those sentences.
We're good.

Speaker 2 (01:30:01):
The hat is pretty impressive, the way it stays.

Speaker 3 (01:30:04):
Right on top of the robot.

Speaker 2 (01:30:06):
Yeah, it's it's really kind of hanging out like it's believable.

Speaker 1 (01:30:10):
It's the Neo Junkies moment Radio one on four point one.

Speaker 2 (01:30:13):
Let's put our.

Speaker 1 (01:30:14):
Robot fingers on the pulse and our robot ears.

Speaker 2 (01:30:16):
To the even changed the mic flag to neo junkie.

Speaker 1 (01:30:18):
Yeah it did.

Speaker 2 (01:30:19):
What the hell? Ai man?

Speaker 1 (01:30:21):
Wowch jobs.

Speaker 2 (01:30:22):
Go check that out over on the news Junkie dot
com in the dispatches section. It's right there for you
and You can send your own if you'd like, over
on the website.

Speaker 3 (01:30:31):
Right now, we got to get.

Speaker 2 (01:30:32):
To the update in this Paris museum heist. More arrests,
but have they found the one hundred million dollars in
stolen jewels.

Speaker 3 (01:30:41):
We have jury duty on the way.

Speaker 2 (01:30:43):
Very interesting case in jury Duty, and that's going to
show us what happened to one of these people that
was recently charged for a Facebook post after the Charlie
Kirk killing and what happened to this guy. Very interesting case.
We'll get into the details on that as well. More
roast details and so much more coming up next than
the news junk kie. I didn't even think this was

(01:31:21):
a even a remotely spicy take, but I was talking
during the break to the skull mic Folks. You can
watch the show on YouTube and chat with me during
the breaks and have a little extra fun as the
show rolls on. But I was talking about how this
is such a stupid idea. It's gonna be a massive failure.
They've decided to do a monster mash movie and they're saying,

(01:31:43):
we're gonna play into the fact that it's Halloween's biggest,
most successful song, and we're gonna make a monster mash
like live song and dance movie. And it's one of
those things where you go, zero people have asked for this.

Speaker 4 (01:32:00):
Who they would have asked for it decades ago if
they didn't want it.

Speaker 2 (01:32:03):
Who's who's out there rooting for the monster mash movie? Like,
I'm not into that?

Speaker 15 (01:32:11):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (01:32:11):
And then I said, that's obviously one of the worst
Halloween songs that floats around out there.

Speaker 3 (01:32:18):
I mean, it's not.

Speaker 2 (01:32:19):
Not the worst, but it's it's a bad Halloween song
in my opinion. And I said, the best Halloween song
and it's not even close. There's many disagrees on this.
It's Season of the Witch and most people didn't even know.
All of these people like what season of the Witch?
What the hell is Season of the Witch? I'm like,

(01:32:39):
have you not paid any attention which already has a movie?
Season of the Witch is the best Halloween song and
it's not even a competition. It's not even close.

Speaker 1 (01:32:50):
Is that off of like putting on the roots?

Speaker 15 (01:32:52):
No?

Speaker 3 (01:32:53):
Oh, you don't know it either, Huh.

Speaker 1 (01:32:55):
It might be old.

Speaker 2 (01:32:56):
It is old as Donovan. Donovan's pretty old Donovan. Yeah,
you say, not my time. They use it in all
sorts of movies.

Speaker 1 (01:33:04):
I hear what you're saying.

Speaker 2 (01:33:07):
Maybe it's you know, it's a guy, Donovan, who is
big in the UK. For a while, he was trying
to rival like the Beatles and Bob Dylan, and you
had Donovan, this British guy and Season of the Witch
was his Halloween song and it is a banger. Is
an incredibly, incredibly good song for Halloween, and a lot

(01:33:28):
of people were really coming at this take, which did
not seem to be spicy at all. John on YouTube
says the most successful Halloween song is Thriller. I mean
you could argue that, yeah you could. You could if
you want to call that a Halloween song. The video
the Semen, it definitely makes it. I got I bet
Season of the Witch, if there is a list, is buried.

Speaker 1 (01:33:49):
Yeahmbies.

Speaker 5 (01:33:52):
I feel it feel as though Thriller is a Halloween
song like.

Speaker 1 (01:33:58):
That.

Speaker 5 (01:33:59):
What's the one that everybody says it's rape? The Christmas song?

Speaker 2 (01:34:01):
Oh maybe it's cold outside.

Speaker 5 (01:34:03):
Maybe it's cold outside? Like that's a like that's a
Christmas song. It says nothing about Christmas. It's just a
song about it being cold outside.

Speaker 1 (01:34:10):
You'll trust Billboard?

Speaker 2 (01:34:12):
No? Yeah, maybe I never trusted.

Speaker 4 (01:34:15):
But we're put together the list of the twenty five
biggest Halloween hits based on their position on.

Speaker 1 (01:34:19):
The Hot one hundred.

Speaker 3 (01:34:20):
Okay, I think it's after.

Speaker 1 (01:34:21):
A number of weeks each song.

Speaker 4 (01:34:23):
Spent at its respective peak position and other criteria.

Speaker 2 (01:34:27):
Okay, but what is the criteria to determine whether or.

Speaker 3 (01:34:30):
Not it's a Halloween song? Are some of these like, okay,
Halloween song.

Speaker 4 (01:34:35):
Around which weeks they were and said position the Hot
one hundred.

Speaker 2 (01:34:41):
Now, it's not when this song comes out, it has
to be a song about Halloween or Halloween related things.

Speaker 3 (01:34:48):
I would have I would think, what do they got?
What's what's what's on the list?

Speaker 1 (01:34:51):
All right now? Seven Dark Lady, don't even know it.
It's by share peak position number one.

Speaker 3 (01:34:57):
Never happen and don't know that.

Speaker 1 (01:34:58):
Somebody's watching me. Rock well peak position number two. That's
not a Halloween song.

Speaker 16 (01:35:03):
Yeah, it's used creepy and around this time it does
come up in Halloween playlist Sean, But.

Speaker 2 (01:35:13):
I don't feel like that's a Halloween song to me.
That's what I was wondering what they were going to do.

Speaker 4 (01:35:17):
Number five on our own from Ghostbusters to Bobby Brown
peaked at position.

Speaker 1 (01:35:22):
Number two don't even know that one.

Speaker 4 (01:35:24):
The Monster eminem Rihanna peaked position number one.

Speaker 2 (01:35:28):
Number. Oh, that's definitely not allow.

Speaker 4 (01:35:31):
Messenger Frankenstein Edgar Winter Group was at number three, peaked
at position number one.

Speaker 1 (01:35:40):
Yeah, I mean you know that one.

Speaker 2 (01:35:42):
Yeah, okay, the theme song, all right, yeah, that's.

Speaker 1 (01:35:45):
At number two, and at number one is Monster Mesh.

Speaker 2 (01:35:48):
It's the worst, man. I can't believe people bring this
up and they're like, Okay, we're going to make a
full fledged movie out of this piece of crap right now.

Speaker 4 (01:35:55):
I mean, they made a movie about emoji's I do
not great, and they got more where that came from.
I'm pretty sure they're doing Tetris and pac Man and.

Speaker 2 (01:36:07):
Yeah, everything because they saw that Barbie was such a hit,
and they didn't realize it was because hey, there's a
lot of women who connect with the idea of Barbie
and this story. And then it was like a well
done thing with a bunch of smart people, and they thought, well,
every toy deserves a movie.

Speaker 1 (01:36:23):
Now A did very well, and I've loved that movie.
But Mirkraft three times.

Speaker 3 (01:36:28):
Minecraft is a phenomenon with little kids.

Speaker 2 (01:36:30):
I don't know that the tech Tetris movie is really
gonna knock him dead.

Speaker 3 (01:36:37):
I don't know that that would be a runaway hit.

Speaker 2 (01:36:40):
Maybe it would.

Speaker 5 (01:36:41):
You know, there's gonna be a blockbuster.

Speaker 1 (01:36:44):
No, anything could be.

Speaker 2 (01:36:47):
I mean I thought the Lego movie would be stupid,
and the Lego movie is good. It's a good movie.
It's an enjoyable little movie. I think you you might
like it if you haven't seen it. Let's get to
the story, I tease the update now coming in Paris.
We had the robbery, the broad daylight robbery of the
Louver Museum, the most famous museum in the world, and

(01:37:07):
then you had two people eventually arrested. But now there's
more information coming in about this. The Associated Press says
two suspects in.

Speaker 3 (01:37:17):
The Louver jewel heist.

Speaker 2 (01:37:19):
Keep in mind they stole about one hundred million dollars
in jewels. These folks, two suspects involved in the Louver
jewel heights on Wednesday this week were handed preliminary charges
of criminal conspiracy and theft committed by an organized gang.
They admitted their involvement, according to prosecutors. Prosecutor Lore Bacal

(01:37:43):
told a news conference the two are believed to be
the men who forced their way into the world's most
visited museum and at least two other accomplices are at large.
Here's the twist. The jewels are still missing. So they
have two people that are involved, they don't to two more. Yeah,
and they're admitting to it, but they don't have the jewels.

(01:38:04):
They don't actually have the jewels just yet.

Speaker 5 (01:38:06):
So do you think that they straight up admitted their
involvement because they know where the jewels are and they
want to make a deal Manuthin.

Speaker 2 (01:38:17):
Is going to go down.

Speaker 5 (01:38:17):
Or they just admitted their involvement because they know that
the French law enforcement have them like by the short
and curlies.

Speaker 2 (01:38:26):
Why what do you.

Speaker 3 (01:38:26):
Even make of this here?

Speaker 2 (01:38:27):
Because it says they have quote partially admitted their participation
in the robbery.

Speaker 3 (01:38:34):
That could be the lot of things.

Speaker 2 (01:38:36):
Did they say the list, we did a thing, we
did something here. So they found the suspects DNA, they said,
and they arrested a thirty four year old in a
thirty nine year old and then they think that they
were working with two other people, four total robbers that

(01:38:56):
were on this truck equipped with a freight lift and
then they buzzed off out of that. But they have
not found the jewels yet. And I asked you this question,
do you think they will ever find these or do
they already give these to whoever set this whole thing up?
And they've been sold off fenced as they say.

Speaker 5 (01:39:16):
It would seems like to have changed hands a few times,
because if they know who they gave them to, then
what's to stop them from just giving them up.

Speaker 2 (01:39:26):
I think if the people got them in their hands,
they probably tried to get rid of them.

Speaker 1 (01:39:32):
As quickly as they could.

Speaker 2 (01:39:32):
But can you think of anything more hot in the
world of selling jewels like you got the same time?

Speaker 1 (01:39:39):
Yeah, jewels.

Speaker 2 (01:39:42):
We're gonna take a quick break. When we come back.
Our friend Mo de Witt of the Duitt Law Firm
injured on the go, just call them MO.

Speaker 3 (01:39:49):
Mo will be joining us.

Speaker 2 (01:39:50):
In studio as we gear up for the Halloween ROAs
to Sean Watson, that's me coming up later tonight.

Speaker 3 (01:39:56):
We'll see what's going on with MO. I got some
questions for him. We also got this guy who is.

Speaker 2 (01:40:00):
One of the people arrested for a social media post,
arrested for a meme after the Charlie Kirk assassination. And
now this is got a new update in this that
I think is really interesting. We'll see what Moses makes
of all this, and a whole bunch more that's all
coming up next than the.

Speaker 7 (01:40:18):
News junkie to just hit the eject.

Speaker 5 (01:40:37):
But I almost texted you guys that this morning, just
to just to throw a little fire.

Speaker 2 (01:40:42):
Under you, like, what's what's happening?

Speaker 1 (01:40:46):
It's not too late. I don't know what we say.

Speaker 2 (01:40:50):
I have thought about it because people have been emailing
the show and sending in their own roasts. Like listeners
have been like, uh, well, good luck at the roast
event of the show. Here's my roast, and I'm oh, god,
are they bad. Some of them are so bad it's painful,
and I am I'm glad that they're not gonna be

(01:41:11):
at the roast, not because it would hurt my feelings,
but because a lot of the emailed roast jokes have
been particularly rough, so unfortunately I couldn't even steal.

Speaker 1 (01:41:20):
Anything from there.

Speaker 2 (01:41:21):
Would have been great if somebody just send it an email,
is like, here are the greatest roast jokes of all time. Look,
this will annihilate Sea Lane. Here you go on a
silver platter, Here you go. But no, no such luck.
It's just bad, bad jokes after bad jokes. We'll promise
you something a little better than that. I think, much better,
in fact, only a little better. You're not I I've

(01:41:45):
seen I think I've seen one of the jokes.

Speaker 3 (01:41:47):
I think I've seen one.

Speaker 1 (01:41:48):
Joke that you have ready to go, Oh how did
you see that?

Speaker 2 (01:41:53):
Just you know, Sharon? Back and forth? What about this?
What about that? What about this? Trying to shape things?
No more? So like, hey, are you doing this? Because
we don't want to double up? And my worst nightmare,
Like I actually had a nightmare about this last night.
And if you guys do the ultimate prank on me

(01:42:17):
and do this, I will never ever forget. Remember when
you guys were.

Speaker 4 (01:42:23):
There's a lot of stuff that's already set in stone
that we can't change.

Speaker 1 (01:42:25):
I don't understand why you're putting out.

Speaker 2 (01:42:27):
Now I'm saying my nightmare was. I'm sitting on the chair,
the roast event has started, and I've got my rebuttal
in front of me, and you guys use every single
joke that I have.

Speaker 5 (01:42:44):
That's what I used to say when you guys used
to be on that campaign of ruining this week in
Florida for me. I was like, I get that the
bouncy balls are fun and the Yager girls and you know,
just sending them into twerk in the booth, But you
know how it would really ruin it for me is
if you just routinely did every single Florida story.

Speaker 9 (01:43:02):
Throughout the week, just roasted for the last three years,
just a four and a half day prank, you know,
run up to well, You're you're super screwed.

Speaker 2 (01:43:13):
Like could you imagine somebody finds your notes for the
roast and then the person in front of you does
their set and then they go by the way and
they very quickly read off every single joke here about.

Speaker 4 (01:43:22):
That, I mean, one, good luck getting through all this.
I'm now looking at a just.

Speaker 1 (01:43:26):
Separate folder of all papers that have to put together.

Speaker 4 (01:43:29):
But secondly, from experience, I can tell you right now
been through that. It wasn't my entire set, but it
was the opening joke at a comedy show I did
years ago, and some of the went on before me
was like, can't wait.

Speaker 1 (01:43:43):
For blah blah blah.

Speaker 4 (01:43:44):
Stole that from Sabrina, Sorry girl, And I'm like, Okay,
I guess I'll just rewrite what I'm doing and it
really takes the rug from under you.

Speaker 3 (01:43:55):
So if you guys did that, I would never forgive you.

Speaker 1 (01:43:58):
It would be I don't think it can work in
a roast, right.

Speaker 2 (01:44:02):
Well, you could do it, and then it would be hilarious.

Speaker 4 (01:44:04):
I'm scared for jokes about you that someone else will
steal in leading up to my my portion.

Speaker 2 (01:44:09):
Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. I'm saying from my position.

Speaker 1 (01:44:12):
Which you put that out in the air, and I
am making me freak out.

Speaker 2 (01:44:16):
Check that's the nightmare I had. I was sitting there
and they started using all the jokes. Everybody started using
everything that I had on my list, and I go,
son of a busy.

Speaker 4 (01:44:26):
Nobody else has boom roasted after they dropped the punchline.

Speaker 2 (01:44:29):
Right, Michael Scott does. But I mean, yeah, no, yeah,
it's not like it was a mainstream thing. All right.
Our friend motivated the wit law firm, joins us. Mostah,
there he is, all right, I heard you wrote your.

Speaker 3 (01:44:48):
Own jokes for tonight at the Rose.

Speaker 5 (01:44:50):
I did. Yeah, mister Fowler reviewed them for me, don't
don't you should trust that he also reviewed Dylan's and
he actually told me there were too me and I
need to take it out.

Speaker 1 (01:45:01):
So really good work, Joe. I don't trust Josh at all.

Speaker 4 (01:45:05):
That was freaking out that he wasn't ready for it,
So why does he know the editor for everybody?

Speaker 2 (01:45:13):
No, he's told us throughout the process that he has prepared.
He was done like a four or five days ago
or something. He's been the most ahead of this I
think anybody. He's got the bandwidth to help people out now.
And he's he told you yours was too mean. You
need to tone it down, man. He did.

Speaker 5 (01:45:30):
Yeah, he takes things out.

Speaker 3 (01:45:32):
What were you going after? What?

Speaker 5 (01:45:33):
I can't tell you that give it away?

Speaker 2 (01:45:36):
You're not going to be saying, oh you are you
just toning it down?

Speaker 1 (01:45:40):
I'll find out and i'll use it during my There
you go.

Speaker 2 (01:45:44):
What could it have been? That's a little worried some
at the moment, but we'll put that to this.

Speaker 5 (01:45:48):
Gonna have a pow wow backstage afterwards. And well, I
was going to talk about the time you're you know,
that's if Sean's still talking to us after this.

Speaker 2 (01:45:58):
I'll be fine. As long as it's funny. Yeah, I'll
be good. I'm not worried about that part. I think
I'm fine with people making jokes at my expense. It's
been something on the show for a long time, and
I think roasts are pretty funny, but I think this
has the potential to be a very funny one. I
think I'm ready to hear what you got, mo, I'm
ready to hear it. What's your level of confidence? Pre

(01:46:19):
rose negative, seventeen perfect, perfect.

Speaker 1 (01:46:23):
Yeah, it's gonna be great.

Speaker 5 (01:46:25):
You're good at public speaking, so you'll be fine.

Speaker 4 (01:46:27):
Sure, just keep saying Exhibit ABC, ladies and gentlemen of
the Jerry.

Speaker 2 (01:46:32):
Yeah, he's been on television many times. He knows how
to talk in front of a crowd. I would imagine
we'll see how it goes tonight. For usually it's a
crowd of six to twelve. This is true. But if
I'm drunk n off, I can do anything drunk wells drunk,
do you worry about, you know, really threading the needle
on that, Because for me, I was thinking about this time.

(01:46:55):
I go, I thought to myself, I Selan always tries
to do this. Sea Lane is very particular when we're
doing a show like this. He'll go, I want to
get right to that level of buzz where I feel
a little more comfortable, but I can't dare go just
one too far.

Speaker 3 (01:47:11):
But because that of a disaster.

Speaker 5 (01:47:13):
I started trying to run through my jokes last night
in the in front of the bathroom mirror. But I
was about for Moscow mules Deep, for Home Moscow mules Deep,
a big strong ones and I I was like, I
have to go to bed before I just control a

(01:47:35):
backspace this entire thing I was.

Speaker 2 (01:47:37):
I was like, you suck.

Speaker 4 (01:47:41):
There's a lot of stuff that I was like, no,
or I try to read them out loud. No, not good,
But you know, you agreements is out right to do.
If you write it out, then you know it's like
the tweet that you never posted.

Speaker 3 (01:48:00):
Did you use this as a therapeutic session?

Speaker 1 (01:48:03):
Yes? Oh wait, I.

Speaker 5 (01:48:07):
Thought for a second she was saying that the joke
isn't good, but it's she's still gonna use it because
she's getting a grievances out.

Speaker 1 (01:48:13):
I mean, I might.

Speaker 4 (01:48:14):
There are probably some moments that I could, but for
the most part I did.

Speaker 1 (01:48:18):
It was an editing process. I'm on draft number seven.

Speaker 2 (01:48:22):
Tanya says, most seems to be too nice to be mean.

Speaker 1 (01:48:25):
You don't know this guy, what are you.

Speaker 3 (01:48:26):
Listening to have?

Speaker 1 (01:48:27):
You heard him.

Speaker 2 (01:48:28):
Every single time when he comes on, he constantly tries
to make fun of me. Yeah, that's most got the.

Speaker 5 (01:48:34):
Nice loving relationship, Sean, is it?

Speaker 1 (01:48:38):
We didn't have? There was no meeting about THEO.

Speaker 5 (01:48:40):
Has literally paid money to air commercials, and before he
paid that money to air the commercials, he paid money
to the Florida bar to approve the commercials to make
fun of you.

Speaker 3 (01:48:55):
We're going to be just fine with most.

Speaker 1 (01:48:58):
That's accurate.

Speaker 3 (01:48:59):
I agree that about that.

Speaker 5 (01:49:00):
That was a good one.

Speaker 2 (01:49:01):
All right, here we go.

Speaker 3 (01:49:03):
Let's do jury duty.

Speaker 6 (01:49:05):
Court is now in session, so put your phone down
and pay attention before we call the bailiff over to
with your ass your no injury duty with the news junkie.

Speaker 2 (01:49:13):
Jury duty brought to you by him, the one the
only motive of the Wit law firm. Injured on the go,
just Calmo eight hundred, CALLMO eight hundred, CALLMO or the
website just Callmo dot com after an accident. Not only
can this man put together roast jokes, but he can
do the real thing that he focuses on, you know,
the nine to five and beyond, which is helping people

(01:49:35):
fight the insurance companies. These billion dollar behemoths. You shouldn't
care about the insurance companies. They're greedy, greedy, greedy, trying
to steal your money. And sometimes it is on you
after an accident to make sure you're taking care of yourself,
your family, and your future. Eight hundred CALLMO. Eight hundred
call MO, or go to just callmo dot com. Dispatch

(01:49:56):
Dance says, oh god, this is going to be a
festivus celebration more than a row. Maybe the airing of
grievances just starts unfolding just and another thing. One thing
I did have to change up a little bit was
I ran through the roast jokes that I have last
night with Courtney, and there was one or two things

(01:50:19):
that I referenced that she didn't get because they were
too old for her.

Speaker 9 (01:50:24):
And I was like, oh no, like in history or
a show.

Speaker 2 (01:50:28):
I was referencing something as part of a joke and
she's like, what is that? I think one of my
jokes for you.

Speaker 5 (01:50:35):
I either did that same thing with her or I
chose not to tell her because I was pretty sure.

Speaker 2 (01:50:41):
She wouldn't get the reference.

Speaker 3 (01:50:43):
Oh yeah, yeah, she like a.

Speaker 2 (01:50:46):
Couple of She's like huh. And when I started, I
would did like the first couple of jokes, She's like, oh,
that's good. Okay, that's really good. And then I got
to one issue went and I go, this is not
the time for you to give me any sort of
pity laugh. So, okay, I need you to tell me
this is bad, this is dumb. Don't use this one.
I tell her that all the time. I'm like, you

(01:51:06):
have to be my shield. If I go into the
closet in the morning and I put on something and
I look like an absolute buffoon walking out of that
closet and you don't stop me, it's on you, all right,
It's on you, and it is on her in some
of these situations. But she was like, oh, I don't
know the reference. And I said, oh, dumb it down,
dumb it down, simplify, simplify, simplify all right. We got

(01:51:29):
some questions from mel One thing that we wanted to
run by him was the story that I'm seeing out
of Tennessee is very interesting to me.

Speaker 1 (01:51:36):
I am not surprised at all.

Speaker 2 (01:51:38):
I don't think you will be mo But the charges
have been dropped against this guy, Larry Buschhart, and he's
a retired law enforcement office or officer who posted a
bunch of memes after Charlie Kirk was killed at that
speaking event on campus, and one of the memes that
he posted was Trump and it said we have to

(01:52:01):
get over it, and it was setting a comment that
the President made on the Perry High School mass shooting
the day after. He says, this seems relevant today dot
dot dot. Now there happens to be another Perry High
school in the area where this happened, and so they
stretched it out to say, oh, this was actually a

(01:52:22):
threat to shoot this school, which is so real, like
unbelievably loose and to me, not up to the level
of being a threat. I think it's gross that a
lot of people posted stuff like this, but gross and
criminal are and should remain two very very different things.
Posting a meme and getting arrested for it is a

(01:52:45):
pretty big stretch there. And in this case, they dropped
the charges because they said there was nothing they could do.
They said they declined to prosecute the case. These kind
of cases are they usually cases that they'll hit somebody
with charges because they like a public outrage, but then
they don't actually push any further than that.

Speaker 11 (01:53:04):
Well, I would hope these charges, these kind of charges
aren't being brought very often, especially once you know, pretty
clearly protected by freedom of speech and there's not really
a terroristic threat. They've they've kind of used this terroristic
threat charge for a lot of things to kind of
encompass things that maybe really shouldn't be encompassed by it.
I was assuming there's probably gonna be a lawsuit here,
abuse of power, lawsuit against you know, the county or

(01:53:27):
whoever arrested him. It sounds to me like he would
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:53:32):
He spent time in jail. Yeah, he went to jail
as a result of this.

Speaker 5 (01:53:36):
Yeah, so there's clearly damages there.

Speaker 11 (01:53:37):
I mean, I don't know all the details about exactly
what he posted or what he said, but you know,
from if you just posted simply that meme and they're
trying to say that that's a terroristic threat where he's
threatening to shoot up a school, there's there's really a
disconnect there between those two things where I don't think that, uh,
you know, he really probably really should have been arrested

(01:53:58):
at this point without some further investigation, and if you
spent some time in jail, there could certainly be a lawsuit.

Speaker 5 (01:54:02):
There save for the idea of somebody being in jail
when they're innocent or stuff like that, being in jail wrongly.
Is there a penalty or a punishment for some of
these prosecutors just kind of haphazardly pressing charges because they
feel pressure from the public opinion or the press or

(01:54:26):
whoever is outraged at the moment, and they just they
maybe they know they're not going to stick, but they're like, here,
I did something. It's not on me anymore. I did
what you asked of me. Is there like, is there
a penalty for that?

Speaker 11 (01:54:39):
I mean, so there's a fine line there. So if
they're acting in good faith that they have a reasonable
belief to believe that they can get a conviction in
the case, and they have evidence to support that, then
obviously they could take some cases. They can lose them,
they could be dropped for whatever reason. Has things developed
further on, if they don't have a good faith basis
to bring the charges, that they don't have a good

(01:55:00):
faith faith belief that they can actually get a conviction
in the case, then.

Speaker 5 (01:55:04):
It could technically.

Speaker 11 (01:55:07):
Start to skew on it kind of being a well,
it could actually be you know, ethical charges as far
as you know, your license is concerned dependent on the state. Yeah,
because you're not supposed to bring you know, you're not
supposed to bring charges unless you have a good faith
belief that you can actually prove those charges. So if
you're just bringing charges against somebody solely to embarrass them
or as you know, retro.

Speaker 2 (01:55:29):
As you know, uh, what's the word, I'm looking for a.

Speaker 11 (01:55:33):
Retribution exactly, then that's a violation of their oath, of
their oath of office and the oath they take as
an attorney. So there are some some potential things that
can happen there. And now, of course, if they're lying
or you know, making statements or or putting evidence in
the charging affidavit that they know is knowingly false, that's

(01:55:54):
also a violation of their oath. So there are there
are some potential risks there if somebody is actually doing Now.

Speaker 5 (01:56:00):
Do you remember the oath you took as an attorney
oversighted every morning in the shower.

Speaker 2 (01:56:05):
Three fingers of I pledge my honor to the Constitution.

Speaker 1 (01:56:11):
On my honor, I.

Speaker 2 (01:56:11):
Will do my best to do my duty to God
in the country.

Speaker 11 (01:56:15):
Acount Law exactly got email that quick break when we
come back, will there's some mailbox money rolling in.

Speaker 2 (01:56:23):
I got another question for Moses that I've been wanting
to ask him for a little while. We'll talk about
the Brick, Lady Boobs, and Tennis and a whole bunch
more in the final hour of the show, plus more
about the roast event that's coming up tonight and that
all is coming up next on the news junk Kie.

(01:56:53):
Our Canadian friends getting some mailbox money must be nice.

Speaker 3 (01:56:57):
Canada must be nice.

Speaker 2 (01:57:00):
The company that you may have heard of called Kurig
the coffee company, now they must pay all Canadian customers
up to fifty dollars per person thoselers.

Speaker 1 (01:57:12):
So that's why fifteen maple syrup bottles.

Speaker 2 (01:57:15):
I don't know if they've done the back and forth
on the money or not, but it just says fifty.

Speaker 5 (01:57:21):
Dollars over here, thirty five bucks and seventy six cents.

Speaker 2 (01:57:25):
Is it thirty five dollars or did they say I
didn't they already?

Speaker 5 (01:57:29):
I'm assuming you're talking about fifty Canadian dollars.

Speaker 3 (01:57:33):
I don't know if I am or not.

Speaker 2 (01:57:34):
I just know that the story says it must pay
Canadian customers up.

Speaker 1 (01:57:37):
To fifty dollars.

Speaker 2 (01:57:37):
So it might be that I guess it's a one
point eighty five million dollars settlement in Canada over inaccurate
information because they said that the CA cups were recyclable,
and they who recyclable in all cases, and so I
owe these people what.

Speaker 5 (01:57:55):
An egregious overstatement on the part of Curig. I'm seeing
this story from the CBC ends in dot ca A
and says fifty bucks. I'm guessing Canadian dollars, so it's
really just thirty five American dollars.

Speaker 2 (01:58:10):
If you're an attorney in the United States, which you know.

Speaker 1 (01:58:12):
You are in all congratulations.

Speaker 2 (01:58:16):
Do you ever see a class action somewhere else and go, well,
I can just do that class action in the United States.
We already saw that it was successful in Canada. Let's
do one here.

Speaker 3 (01:58:26):
Why not?

Speaker 11 (01:58:27):
I mean, I'm sure those things happen all the times.
It's all the time where they look at stuff that
happens in other countries. Are other countries look at stuff
that happens here? But of course the laws are different,
so it's going to depend on you know what the
laws look like, and you have Canadian law is very
different than American law, and all that kind of stuff.

Speaker 1 (01:58:41):
Thank god.

Speaker 5 (01:58:41):
Yeah, they have like a buddy law firms, you know,
across borders that kind of call each other when stuff
like this goes on, like, hey, you got to get
on this.

Speaker 1 (01:58:48):
Where is there a Canadian moses to wit?

Speaker 11 (01:58:51):
There's a foreign exchange moses to it foreign exchange lawyers.

Speaker 2 (01:58:53):
Yeah, there's got to be somebody with like the Canadian
equivalent of injured on the go, just call them. Ore
has to be. That's got to be in there somewhere.
Do you have the trademark on that? By the way,
I do. Oh, look at this sort of trademarks. Have
you had to squash anybody who tries to.

Speaker 11 (01:59:11):
Do a go There's one guy the system is his
name Mo, not really, his last name has Mo in it,
and so he's been using.

Speaker 1 (01:59:24):
Wow, give us first last and address and we'll take
care of that perk.

Speaker 3 (01:59:28):
We can handle this.

Speaker 5 (01:59:28):
It's not that motorcycle guy that I saw a while ago.
Is it Seling?

Speaker 2 (01:59:36):
He probably was not that, but whoever it is better
back off? Okay, I just want to make that as
clear as possible.

Speaker 13 (01:59:45):
MO.

Speaker 2 (01:59:45):
I have been watching a couple of things this week
that have me really irritated about how the Justice system
works in the United States, or or I should say,
like the civil system. When you're suing somebody and I
I saw this case that's been getting some headlines. The
details don't matter, but I'll tell you kind of what's
going on, and then you can tell me if this

(02:00:07):
is a more common thing, because it's a little black pilling.

Speaker 3 (02:00:11):
So here's what's happening.

Speaker 2 (02:00:12):
There's a case that is a lawsuit against somebody, like
a major figure in the streaming world, and the person
who is suing them quite obviously doesn't have a case.
You can see in all the documents that are submitted
to the court. They continuously try to come up with weird,
fringe theories and stuff, and they stretch this case longer

(02:00:36):
and longer, and more months go by and more months
go by, and you have to continue to pay somebody
to defend yourself against these claims. And this, basically, I guess,
is what they call lawfair. And somebody knows that they're
not going to win their lawsuit, but they weaponize the
power of these civil suits and they just keep it

(02:00:57):
going in some effort to like bleed you dry. There's
no punishment for this stuff if you like. But what
if you totally completely lose, the other person can demand
that you pay their legal bills, I guess, or because
it's so frustrating that sometimes somebody doesn't have a case
at all and they can just keep stretching it out
with the court system for so long.

Speaker 11 (02:01:19):
Yeah, I know, I've had to deal with this, and
it's very frustrating for clients who have to deal with
this because, yeah, they can get stretched out and everyone's
kind of entitled to their day in court, but there
are sanctions and you know, they could have to pay
your attorney's fees, depending how egregious it is, they could
be sanctioned by the court things like that. So there
are potential avenues to get compensation or to get you know,

(02:01:41):
some punishment on the other person in the end, but
it can take a very long time and so oftentimes,
you know, the frustrating part is, especially if if you're
paying a lawyer and the other person's doing a pro se,
you know, you're racking up this huge legal bill to
defend this frivolous thing. And then even though you may
get attorney's fees awarded against them, then you have to
go and chase them down and collect them. So it

(02:02:02):
can be quite frustrating when you have those types of
actions that occur. I mean, I will say they're fairly
few and far between, but they are, okay, I mean
it's for the most part, but I mean I've dealt
with them before, and usually it's pro say people. It's
people who don't have attorneys who go in and they'll
file this kind of crazy stuff, but you still have
to go through the motions to get it thrown out,
and it can take you know, months or years sometimes.

Speaker 2 (02:02:24):
So worst case scenario, let's say there's you know, John Smith,
somebody who accuses him of something that file a lawsuit
against him.

Speaker 1 (02:02:31):
He's like, this is ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (02:02:33):
He gets an attorney to fight the lawsuit, and they
drag this pro say lawsuit out a year, two years.
It costs them what probably six figures or something. If
you're really racking up some bills and it's a serious case, it.

Speaker 11 (02:02:48):
Could depending on how much you know, time the attorney
spending on it.

Speaker 2 (02:02:52):
If the person suing them doesn't have any real money,
they don't even have any money to their name, you're
just screwed. That seems it's like a very unfair situation.

Speaker 11 (02:03:03):
I mean, you can potentially garnish their wages or go
after assets and things like that, but of course you
know that's not the easiest thing to do. You're chasing now,
chasing somebody around for money that they're going to try
to hide from you, and so that's never fun or easy.

Speaker 5 (02:03:15):
And to garnish their wages, don't you have to get
a judge involved.

Speaker 2 (02:03:18):
With that too?

Speaker 11 (02:03:19):
Yeah, you do, And then that can be a whole
nother thing where you not only have to get a
judge involved, you have to get them to actually provide
their financial information, find out where they bank send the
banks of Penis, And now you're spending more good money
to potentially chase bad money.

Speaker 5 (02:03:32):
So now what I'm getting from your explanation is that like,
and this is gonna sound maybe like a really dumb question,
but here goes. Yeah, the like the idea that anybody
could just file a lawsuit, like especially some of the
really crazy ones that we've seen that are like handwritten
and from prison. Whoever is at the other end of

(02:03:53):
that lawsuit still has to like go to court and
be like, judge, can we get this dropped because it's stupid,
Like it's will takes up that person's time. Yeah, you
still have to respond to it, because if you don't
respond then then you can get a default entered against
you and they can just basically proceed without you.

Speaker 2 (02:04:08):
You just lose, right, just lose. Yeah, that's good. It
can be frustrating. I guess that's what they call law fair,
where you're like, you know, warfare, but.

Speaker 3 (02:04:16):
With legal remedies.

Speaker 2 (02:04:18):
Now, I will say, most of what Moses does is
a different side of the law than this.

Speaker 3 (02:04:23):
Most of what you do.

Speaker 2 (02:04:24):
Is go ensure Moses does fair. Law not law fair.
Put that out there, and if the other MO tries
to steal that line as well, we'll go after you
every single time.

Speaker 10 (02:04:37):
MO.

Speaker 3 (02:04:39):
Your thoughts on AI music? Do you do?

Speaker 2 (02:04:42):
You love it? Do you hate it?

Speaker 5 (02:04:44):
It's all I listened to.

Speaker 2 (02:04:46):
I could picture that, could picture you're cruising down the road,
just listen to this stuff. I don't know what to
make of all of this, but it is really starting
to take off. And now the latest one that I've
seen is you take a band and then you have
the band do a cover of another song in their style,
and then you have AI do.

Speaker 3 (02:05:07):
A complete music video for the band.

Speaker 2 (02:05:11):
And they're able to do this now and it's incredible,
Like somebody did Slipknot doing Radioheads Creep and put it
together and like a whole thing. I mean, like that
looks fake because it's the same person everywhere.

Speaker 1 (02:05:28):
In the audience at the same time.

Speaker 2 (02:05:30):
Else, they got all the members from Slipnot in this
video and they have them do the Radiohead Creep song and.

Speaker 1 (02:05:44):
That's all AI.

Speaker 2 (02:05:50):
It's so weird how much of this we're going to see.
I mean, the video is not great. You can see
that these people aren't actually Slipnot in this, but it
sounds just like him. I'm only going to play so
much of this because there's some curse words in it.
But you can see the song or you can hear
the song online and it's playing. It's playing just like

(02:06:11):
it's slip Knots singing Radiohead Creep, which is kind of
crazy to me. I feel like we're just at the current.

Speaker 5 (02:06:17):
Hey, I was doing it all now because he used
to be able to do that, but it took a
lot of work. Like the guy that does the how
I there, I ruined this? What what's that?

Speaker 1 (02:06:27):
The account called Sabrina that Oh.

Speaker 2 (02:06:34):
He was getting a lot.

Speaker 5 (02:06:35):
Of comments about how like his his whole channel is
AI and he doesn't do any work, and he's like, no, no, no,
I have to like go through and sing these songs
and then change it to that thing. Like it was
actually a lot of work he had to put in
and it wasn't just like typing make slip not sing
Radiohead and then boom.

Speaker 3 (02:06:55):
But how is that not a copyright Violet?

Speaker 2 (02:06:58):
Oh, it totally is.

Speaker 1 (02:06:59):
Yeah, it is not a parody. It's great answer, thank you, guys.

Speaker 2 (02:07:05):
Well, a parody implies that you're you're parodying the song
in some way if you're just covering this song, like
weird aw obviously takes the song and turns it on
its head and some sort of you know.

Speaker 3 (02:07:18):
A way where it's parody.

Speaker 5 (02:07:19):
But even a lot of weird Al stuff is not
technically parody, I think, right, Moses, like, for parody, you
have to be making a joke about the original work. Well,
it has to be transformative.

Speaker 11 (02:07:33):
So I mean, I think with weird al stuff, a
lot of it's arguably transformative. But then he has the
issue with the music as well, because you have the
lyrics and then you have the music, and so there's
still an infringement on the actual you know chords that
are being played in the music that's behind it, which
is I think why he's always gotten you know, the
artist to sign off on it.

Speaker 5 (02:07:51):
And then of course there's if the artist doesn't like it, they.

Speaker 11 (02:07:54):
Could sue him if they assuming they didn't sign off
on it, they could sue him and say it's not
transformative and enough, like if he's using the same choruses
and things like that, and ultimately that would be you know,
quite the lengthy litigation that would be up to a
judge or a jury to make the determination of the end.

Speaker 2 (02:08:09):
Like I've had.

Speaker 5 (02:08:10):
Clients before that have been like, hey, we want to
do a spot to the tune of this, and I
was like, that's not a parody. That's using that tune
to advertise your business. And that's going to get us
everybody ever, we're all getting sued.

Speaker 3 (02:08:26):
Yeah, if you.

Speaker 5 (02:08:27):
Have a.

Speaker 2 (02:08:31):
Toaster company and you do like a Toastbusters song and
you just literally take Ghostbusters and that's not parody, well
that is it's like edging on it, but you're it's
not I guess transformative enough in some cases to fully
make it. So you can do that, and some of
these companies will never come after you and others will.

Speaker 1 (02:08:48):
It becomes a real issue.

Speaker 3 (02:08:50):
Okay, when we.

Speaker 2 (02:08:51):
Come back a rash of fake videos making the rounds,
I want to show you what's going on. You'll hear
what these videos sound like, so you know if you
see one moving forward, And we've got a bunch more
to get into as we get ready for the big
roast event tonight. It's all coming up next in the
news Junkie to see what happened this week with this

(02:09:28):
hurricane Melissa ripping through Jamaica and then obviously went up
through Cuba.

Speaker 1 (02:09:35):
I mean that's going around is nuts.

Speaker 2 (02:09:37):
It's brutal, Like there's a lot of these areas, especially
of Jamaica, where these places aren't built all that well.
And then when a category five, what were the winds
at one eighty five?

Speaker 1 (02:09:49):
I think, yeah, I mean it was the worst in
Jamaican history.

Speaker 2 (02:09:53):
Yeah, when that rolls through, it is going to be
a force of nature that will absolutely disseminate buildings and
and it did in a lot of these cases. Then
from there it was working over all these other areas.
I think it was headed for the Bahamas.

Speaker 1 (02:10:07):
No, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:10:08):
Have you you keep tabs on the Bamas.

Speaker 1 (02:10:10):
Have you been there in a while.

Speaker 11 (02:10:11):
I haven't been there in a while, but I talked
to people over there. I think they're okay as far
as I know right now. They were preparing for some stuff,
but it seems like they're mostly in the clear. Besides them,
you know, the stormy weather. I thought Bermuda was the
next target. You're going with the wrong line in Kokomo.
It's all of them.

Speaker 2 (02:10:27):
Seems like they were in harm's way of this thing
for a while. And after Jamaica, I think it lightened
up enough so it was a bit less of an
impact on places like Cuba, et cetera, et cetera, but
obviously a lot of people really hurting from that. You've
seen the headlines all over the place this week. The
other thing that's gotten a lot of attention is as

(02:10:48):
November first arrives, then the end of snap benefits or
food stamps is happening for a lot of people. In
some states, they've said we're going to fill in the
gap and we'll keep these programs funded. In other states,
like you're not gonna get your food stamps, there's been
there's been a big argument around this, some people saying
forty million people on food stamps is way too many. Anyways. Now,

(02:11:11):
my argument about this is, if you're realistic, you're a
realistic person, you have to understand that some people are
they don't have a great skill set, they're not super
employable people in a lot of cases. In some cases
they're disabled. They're not able to go out and do
this kind of stuff. I think you have to have
some sort of safety net for those people. And I

(02:11:33):
think that this serves a decent use of tax payer
dollars when it's not being wasted. But people are going
at each other over this, and I want you to know,
just so you're aware, a lot of this is ai
information warfare. One of the videos that got millions and
millions of views some lady being interviewed on Fox five

(02:11:54):
and talking about food stamps.

Speaker 3 (02:11:55):
Here's an example, but there's a lot of others like this.

Speaker 1 (02:11:57):
I'm gonna keep it real with you.

Speaker 15 (02:11:58):
I get over twenty five hundred more off in stamps.

Speaker 1 (02:12:01):
I sell them two thousand.

Speaker 15 (02:12:02):
Worth from about twelve to fifteen hundred cash. That's why
everybody's upset. Folks say we're taking advantage, but that's how
we get by, and that's the frustration we're hearing out
here in downtown Atlanta.

Speaker 2 (02:12:12):
See this is this back and forth with this Fox
five reporter in this woman, She's like, I take the
food stams and then I sell them and then I
do this and online people are like, you see it,
you see it. This is what's going on out there.

Speaker 1 (02:12:26):
This isn't just I was like, you know.

Speaker 4 (02:12:30):
People that use internet tools often, or maybe it's you know,
what we do for a living. As soon as you
started talking like that's AI voice. There's something to it
until it gets perfected in two months.

Speaker 2 (02:12:40):
But you've been watching, You've been paying attention. People who
aren't very, very attached to the Internet are like, well,
you can't fake that.

Speaker 3 (02:12:48):
It's a person talking to another person.

Speaker 1 (02:12:51):
She has seven fingers, but that's fine.

Speaker 2 (02:12:53):
Like the indicators are there. The woman has a microphone
with a branded logo that says Fox on it, and
then her outfit. It's all fake. It's rage bait in
a world full of rage bait. To get your weird
blurred out? Uh soa or is it soa?

Speaker 1 (02:13:09):
So?

Speaker 5 (02:13:10):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:13:11):
The blurt out watermark there right, which is they tried
to get rid of the water mark that the AI
puts on this, but still people are like, you see,
this is the problem. There's so many people taking advantage
like this. And while there probably are some amount of
people taking advantage, a lot of the news around this
just hasn't been true necessarily. Like another one that I

(02:13:31):
saw and I was like, let me see, it was
about how many illegal immigrants are on the SNAP programs,
and that's not even true. It's not you know, it's
there are some people who are under particular programs that
are hearing not fully Americans young, or they don't have
like you know, they're a green card. But that's about

(02:13:52):
one percent of the SNAP payouts. It's mostly just people
who are below the poverty line, and are some of
them lazy and milking the system. Yes, I've heard these
people before, but a lot of these people are just
poor people. We have these people all throughout the country
go to these poorer areas making Georgia, places throughout South Carolina, Mississippi,

(02:14:18):
full of neighborhoods where there's a lot of people, there's.

Speaker 1 (02:14:21):
Not a lot of jobs, and then they.

Speaker 2 (02:14:23):
Get wrapped up in all this and people start fighting
over the rage bait that's meant to draw him in
there's a lot of it out there this week, So
keep your eyes up.

Speaker 1 (02:14:32):
Somebody you com I think about Snap.

Speaker 2 (02:14:34):
Here, Tim says, half the people on Snap work, the
other half are mostly over the age of sixty five.
I'm all in for work requirements for most people and
all of.

Speaker 3 (02:14:46):
That, and you barely work. I get out of here.

Speaker 2 (02:14:51):
This is what I was talking about earlier. Whoever said
Mo is nice, This is what I'm talking about. This
is trying to warm up.

Speaker 11 (02:14:57):
I mean, you've obligated me to do this, agree to
do this, roast whatsoever.

Speaker 1 (02:15:01):
I know what he's forcing you into the road.

Speaker 5 (02:15:03):
I was just added to the schedule. Nobody asked me.

Speaker 2 (02:15:09):
I'm yeah. I think I think he got pretty excited
about himself. Busnecker was Busnecker had told me at some
point time he's like, I might be writing some of
this stuff.

Speaker 3 (02:15:18):
But then when he came over.

Speaker 2 (02:15:19):
He's like, no, Mo sat down, pen in a pad
and just let them the hate. Trying to get alone.
Yeah exactly, yeah, yeah, yeah, So there you go, Thank you, Tim. Yeah.
I mean, I think it's an easy thing to get
people outraged about. People see these kind of things and
they go Forty million people on Snap that number should

(02:15:39):
not be that high. But I think most people agree, Republicans, Democrats, whomever.
I most people agree or should agree that it's good
to have programs for people who have nothing, because not
everybody's gonna be rich, Not everybody's gonna be useful to
some job out there. Not everybody's gonna be bringing enough money.
You can have a million things afterwards, say like don't

(02:16:00):
have so many kids when you don't have a job
done you. All of those things are absolutely true. You're right,
you're right, But what do we do is the punishment
just to have kids starving?

Speaker 3 (02:16:10):
I don't like that personally.

Speaker 2 (02:16:12):
I just wish politicians stuff kind of making a whole
war out of this stuff. But here we are regardless.
Let us know what you think. Send us a dispatch.
Go to thenewsjunkie dot com, thenews chunky dot com. Record
your dispatch right now, real quick. Matt Parker and uh
Trey Parker and Matt Stone over at South Park, they
got an issue on their hands. The employees at CASA

(02:16:35):
are now striking. Yeah, the cliff Divers are upset.

Speaker 1 (02:16:43):
MO.

Speaker 2 (02:16:43):
They are They're not going with this. They said they
are striking beginning today. You go to Casabita. No cliff Divers,
nobody bringing you the food. Nobody back there cooking.

Speaker 7 (02:16:58):
That.

Speaker 3 (02:16:58):
Alright, No, they're just shut down.

Speaker 2 (02:17:00):
They're shut down right now because Cassa beneath the workers
have gone on strike. They want more money from the
rich South Park guys. They say, what do you think?
Send us a dispatch at thenewschunkie dot com right now.
When we return, we'll see what we can work in.

Speaker 3 (02:17:16):
Before the end of the show.

Speaker 2 (02:17:17):
I've got this story about tennis and boobs.

Speaker 3 (02:17:21):
I'll make it make sense.

Speaker 2 (02:17:22):
Probably maybe if we work that in, we'll get to
our final notes on the roast event. Tonight we got
final dispatches stories that didn't make the cut, and today
learned to wrap everything up for a Thursday and that
is coming up next on the news chunk Key and

(02:17:52):
those of you who are going to be there. Any
details you might need, you can always email me tips
at the newsjunkie dot com or go to the news
junkie dot com slash Roast. As I said earlier, the
tickets you can start getting into like a lounge area
with drinks and stuff at six thirty and then the
actual venue, Judson's Live opens up at seven. The roast

(02:18:15):
event starts at eight and then will be I don't know,
ninety minutes plus. Who knows. I have no idea how
long all that stuff's going to take, but scheduled for
around ninety minutes plus should be an absolute blast. If
you're out there, you'll get to see Moses de wit.
He's got his whole routine. Have you timed yourself out,
moll Have you like done the whole mirror thing? That

(02:18:37):
seems a.

Speaker 4 (02:18:37):
Little bit a little bit you know, Yeah, we don't
have anyone to flash the tim it's too too much time.

Speaker 1 (02:18:43):
I'm just realizing we didn't ask anyone to do that.

Speaker 2 (02:18:46):
What are you talking? Oh oh, like on the stage,
like somebody giving him the hook?

Speaker 1 (02:18:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:18:52):
Yeah, I mean I'll always feel rude about that anyways.

Speaker 1 (02:18:56):
I feel like, yeah, you're going to do a roast.
What are you in wait?

Speaker 2 (02:19:01):
Telling somebody to wrap it up? But you don't feel
worried about well, I know if Moses is up there,
I wouldn't be like, wow, mo, wrap it up, buddy.
It seems you actually would do that. I haven't ever
done it before. Why would I do it now? Because
you're a rude rude man, unbelievable. Now forget it, wrap
it up. I'm gonna start screaming it. First words into

(02:19:23):
the microphone. Mo's gonna be like, hey, everybody, got.

Speaker 1 (02:19:25):
Wrap it up. MO.

Speaker 2 (02:19:27):
I'll have the microphone pulling down at anything that we
need to do to get this whole thing done. Those
of you are going to be there. We can't wait
to see it tonight, and we're excited for the big
roast event.

Speaker 3 (02:19:38):
Hopefully it goes well.

Speaker 2 (02:19:40):
For those of you who cannot make it, we'll have
details afterwards about how you can't watch the entire event. Okay, Now,
the daughter of that eighty year old woman who was
left to die on a remote island from the cruise
ship that just ditched her.

Speaker 3 (02:19:56):
There, the daughter is coming out.

Speaker 2 (02:20:00):
She says that her mom was on a like an
approved excursion from this cruise ship and she was going
on a hiking and scuba trip and that's when she
kind of like wandered off the pass a little bit
and they left her behind.

Speaker 1 (02:20:16):
MO.

Speaker 2 (02:20:16):
When you hear a story like this cruise ship leaves
an eighty year old woman behind she dies, that seemed
like a case where there's going to be a big.

Speaker 11 (02:20:24):
Package well, you know, maritime law can be a little tricky,
but speaking kind of general terms, if you're on an
excursion like that, you kind of expect them to keep
track of people. Now, I don't know why she ventured
off or how they left her exactly, but usually if
it's a you know, approved excursion through the cruise ship,

(02:20:45):
they are supposed to wait for you and make sure
you get back to the cruise ship.

Speaker 2 (02:20:49):
So yeah, it does it seem like it's a better
case if it is like a sanctioned event from the
cruise ship that she was taking part in.

Speaker 11 (02:20:58):
One cause if it's like a third already you know
somebody that's locally on the island, I mean, you're kind
of screwed at that point.

Speaker 5 (02:21:04):
Now, this happened in an island very close to Australia,
Lizard Island.

Speaker 3 (02:21:09):
Oh yeah, Lizard Island. Yeah, and you're familiar.

Speaker 5 (02:21:12):
Oh yeah, Okay, so they left this lady in Lizard
Island to become a lizard person, but she didn't.

Speaker 2 (02:21:19):
She became dead.

Speaker 3 (02:21:20):
And uh so you see what happens next.

Speaker 5 (02:21:24):
You said maritime law, but it's it sounds like it's
in Australian seas or at least would it be going
after the whatever, you know, going after them in whatever
country of the flag that that ship or waves.

Speaker 11 (02:21:37):
Yeah, it's going to depend on your cruise contract with them.
So I don't know what cruise line this was, but
typically smaller one. Yeah, so when you sign up, you know,
with any cruise there's some sort of contract that you're
agreeing to.

Speaker 2 (02:21:48):
A smaller one.

Speaker 5 (02:21:48):
But it was an eighty thousand dollars cruise like this
is going to be a long journey, and it was
the first stop.

Speaker 1 (02:21:52):
I can't believe.

Speaker 11 (02:21:55):
I would think on a cruise like that, there is
an expectation and there's typically a lot of older people
on those types of cruises too. There's your expectation that
you're kind of cared after, watched, after taking care of.

Speaker 1 (02:22:05):
Might die on it, might die on it.

Speaker 11 (02:22:07):
But all these excursions are supposed to be You're supposed
to be safe, you're supposed to be monitored and not
just wander off and get left.

Speaker 5 (02:22:13):
Technically, the longer you stay on a cruise ship, the
more the probability of you dying on that cruise gets
to one.

Speaker 2 (02:22:23):
I mean, I'm just pulling it out of air.

Speaker 1 (02:22:24):
But it's very true.

Speaker 2 (02:22:25):
It's it just has to be true because of how
life works. There is another story about a tennis player.
I'm not familiar with a lot of tennis players, but.

Speaker 4 (02:22:42):
Oceanee Oceanie Duh o'shawannee.

Speaker 2 (02:22:46):
Dodin, o ce A d o d i n. Her
name is Oceanie Dodan and this woman is now officially
I can't believe they even keep track of this, but
I guess they've decided to the information out there. She's
won four point two million dollars tennis prize money over
the year. She's the first tennis player ever to get

(02:23:08):
a boob job.

Speaker 1 (02:23:09):
She's the first tennis.

Speaker 2 (02:23:11):
Player ever to get a boob job, and somebody asked
about him at a press conference.

Speaker 1 (02:23:15):
And she came out said some yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:23:18):
She's like, look, you know, nobody's done it. Before I
knew people were going to talk about it. I knew
this was going to be an issue that we had.
But I don't have any problem playing with the breast
in plans and it's.

Speaker 4 (02:23:29):
A good boob job, but maybe poor that's gonna hurt
when you're trying.

Speaker 1 (02:23:34):
To serve She's not bad.

Speaker 2 (02:23:36):
She was number forty six in the world, so that's
I mean, that seems pretty impressive to me. No, the
whole of all professional players, she's got to be a
that's got to be pretty damn impressive. And she said
she's the first tennis pro. Oh yeah, AD's done a
great job there. It does seem like it would be
hard to play as far as sports go.

Speaker 1 (02:23:55):
I think that it would be to her advantage if
she's around out.

Speaker 2 (02:24:00):
Yeah, it could could be a distraction and absolutely could
be them. It's time for the final dispatches. These are
the final dispatches, but Sean will probably only on.

Speaker 1 (02:24:15):
The z way out and we'll refresh for the absolute latest.
And Happy Halloween.

Speaker 3 (02:24:21):
Yeah, happy Halloween.

Speaker 2 (02:24:22):
Indeed, here is somebody talking about the cop who had
no pants on.

Speaker 14 (02:24:26):
Good afternoon everyone. Hey, I was just catching up and
watching the police officer with no uh pants on. It
kind of remind me of something that happened to me
during the pandemic. I was on a zoom interview with
two ladies from a local school district and I had
my top part on with my jacket and tie and
all that good stuff and basketball shorts underneath. So we
go ahead and start the interview, and my headphones aren't working,

(02:24:48):
so I'm struggling around getting up, you know, troubleshooting. I'm
yelling at my kids out in the living room.

Speaker 1 (02:24:54):
Hew, you've got my other headphones out there.

Speaker 14 (02:24:55):
I need them now, and I come back, get some
other headphones, put them back in.

Speaker 3 (02:24:59):
Sit down.

Speaker 14 (02:25:00):
Thought everything was cool, and one lady's like, you know, sir,
we can hear everything, and the other lady chimes in
and see everything.

Speaker 1 (02:25:08):
Oh, interview failed, got the job. That is not a
good time.

Speaker 4 (02:25:13):
I mean, why not just have a pair of pants
and a jacket in your Zoom team's room, you know
what I'm saying. Yeah, I might be some comfortable sweats
that look like pants on a webcam.

Speaker 2 (02:25:26):
No, I feel like the Zoom interview is bad and
you failed that. But this guy was a police officer,
Moe who didn't have pants on. I saw court zoom.

Speaker 3 (02:25:37):
You're seeing this due like that seems like you that
that's something you judge.

Speaker 11 (02:25:43):
But I was actually surprised how understanding the judge was
about it, because I mean, yeah, and I've seen people
get reamed out for a lot less really court before.

Speaker 2 (02:25:55):
My favorite was the guy performing surgery doing this traffic
ticket on zoom.

Speaker 4 (02:26:01):
My favorite was the guy who was in court for
suspended license and was behind the wheel of a car.

Speaker 2 (02:26:09):
You know what I mean, stupid question for you, But
my cousin Vinny style, what are the rules about what
if you're in an actual courtroom you have to wear?
Are their rules saying like, you have to be in
a suit, you have to be presentable.

Speaker 5 (02:26:21):
You have to be presentable.

Speaker 11 (02:26:22):
You don't necessarily have to be in a suit, but
you know, business professional attire is typically recommended, whether you're
an attorney or you know.

Speaker 1 (02:26:32):
Participant TV shows like the jacket, they're very particular.

Speaker 13 (02:26:37):
I think.

Speaker 11 (02:26:37):
I think typically men have to wear jackets and ties.
Women little turtleneck, no nose ring.

Speaker 2 (02:26:44):
What if you were wearing what you're wearing right now, duit, Polo?
Just call mo Polo and you walked into the courtroom.
You're getting bounced out for that. Possibly I'd be uncomfortable.
I wouldn't walk into court with us.

Speaker 4 (02:26:55):
Wow, okay, what if you were representing one of the
three of us, who would you tell the change first?

Speaker 3 (02:27:02):
All of you?

Speaker 2 (02:27:04):
This is not good. You look more court ready than
see it, and I do.

Speaker 1 (02:27:08):
I went mid drifts out so it doesn't look good.

Speaker 2 (02:27:12):
As far as tonight, goes that might be a completely.

Speaker 1 (02:27:15):
We are officially doing classy.

Speaker 4 (02:27:16):
I want to be very clear before the event is
you don't halloween me right now?

Speaker 3 (02:27:22):
The event is you canna either wear a costume where
you can go classy.

Speaker 1 (02:27:25):
Do you know what Dylan's wearing?

Speaker 13 (02:27:26):
Do you?

Speaker 9 (02:27:28):
No?

Speaker 1 (02:27:29):
I'd betther not. Send me full body picks please, so
it's nothing weird.

Speaker 2 (02:27:34):
It's not like that twenty five.

Speaker 4 (02:27:36):
Now, listen, Dylan's great. I'm talking about you, Sean Watson, you,
Christopher Lane. You know these are This is the group
of people.

Speaker 2 (02:27:47):
That, Okay, you don't care about listen to the most.

Speaker 1 (02:27:50):
I love Dylan very much. We're just actually earlier. What
are you wearing? And what's he Lane wearing? Please don't
do this to me.

Speaker 2 (02:27:56):
My point is he is wearing an elaborate costume. So
I'm not gonna throw him to the wolves and not
have anybody else do it. And I'm not gonna throw
you to the wolves.

Speaker 1 (02:28:05):
Are we fancy or no?

Speaker 3 (02:28:07):
I am dressing up.

Speaker 11 (02:28:09):
Yes, so you're dressing your one out of your closet.

Speaker 1 (02:28:12):
Please remember this when I see them in.

Speaker 2 (02:28:15):
Just to be absolutely clear, despite the slander from Moses
to it.

Speaker 11 (02:28:18):
Oh what it's not true that you have one blazer
that you always wear on formal occasions. No, it's not
I have you told me this with your mouth?

Speaker 2 (02:28:25):
I was exaggerating. I have multiple plays.

Speaker 1 (02:28:30):
Number two.

Speaker 2 (02:28:31):
Everything I'm wearing tonight is brand new. So I've never
worn this before. I went out when shopping, went to
the mall. Did all that stuff?

Speaker 1 (02:28:38):
How bounce a Uh, we'll see. We'll see rocking the santasy.

Speaker 2 (02:28:47):
You'll find out only one way to find out. All right,
we go, Let's get the hell out of here. Let's
to today.

Speaker 1 (02:28:51):
I larned.

Speaker 6 (02:28:51):
The following information may make you feel smarter, but will
not actually increase your IQ, so don't get cocky.

Speaker 2 (02:28:58):
What we call today it is Taylor for A Thursday,
October thirtieth, twenty twenty five.

Speaker 3 (02:29:07):
Mo, you got this?

Speaker 2 (02:29:09):
I know you're no chance you're gonna nail it ready
today learned this band right here? Okay, right only somehow
only was exposed to rap music. That is it like
I could play any rap song and he'd be, oh, yeah, no, months,
it doesn't note sound like I could play a random

(02:29:33):
B side of Lil Wayne.

Speaker 1 (02:29:34):
He'd be like, oh yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:29:35):
That's you know, that's a fire to the fire, but
B fifty two has never heard in his life. Taylor
in The B fifty twos were formed after sharing a
tropical drink called the Flaming Volcano and getting hammered together
at a Chinese restaurant.

Speaker 1 (02:29:49):
That's another term for a group sex.

Speaker 2 (02:29:52):
They said, let's do it.

Speaker 1 (02:29:53):
It was nineteen seventy six. Holy Cows fourteen been around
for a while, it was not alive.

Speaker 2 (02:30:02):
Today learned the entire nineteen thirty nine World Series was
shorter than the third game of the twenty eighteen World Series.

Speaker 13 (02:30:12):
What was that?

Speaker 2 (02:30:13):
Would that have been the one of the eighteen inning ones?
Maybe because you have to somebody forfeit, it says. The
nineteen thirty nine World Series featured three time defending champion
New York Yankees against the Reds. The Yankee swept the
series in four games for the second straight year. And yeah,
it was one of the fastest wins ever. Today learned,

(02:30:34):
let's see, let's up there, you go put right out there.
I heard you saw yours, so I well, let's trying.

Speaker 1 (02:30:42):
To be professional.

Speaker 3 (02:30:42):
I was trying to maintain some level.

Speaker 2 (02:30:45):
Today learn In two thousand and two McDonald's lot, did
I say I think I did this one.

Speaker 1 (02:30:50):
I already did that. I think previously we don't know McDonald's.

Speaker 3 (02:30:53):
I know I already did that, So I'm gonna go.
I'll just all wrap it up.

Speaker 2 (02:30:57):
Okay, everybody, thanks for hanging out with us Halloween. We'll
see you at the Rose today. I learn this guy
right here, Donovan Donovan is correct. I swear he knew
what was coming. The musician Donovan best Halloween song ever taught.
John Lennon had a fingerpicker guitar back in nineteen sixty eight.
He said, this guy's never going to become much of anything,

(02:31:19):
but at least he could play the guitar now, and
boy could he right, they became the Beatles and all that.
Thank you so much for hanging out, Moses, thanks for
being with us.

Speaker 1 (02:31:28):
We'll see you at the Roast event. Say you tonight

I believe that when you (yes you) feel seen, heard and understood you’re able to deal with relationship struggles, work challenges and life’s ups and downs with more ease and grace. I interview experts, celebrities, thought leaders and athletes so that we can grow our mindset, build better habits and uncover a side of them we’ve never seen before. New episodes every Monday and Friday. Your support means the world to me and I don’t take it for granted — click the follow button and leave a review to help us spread the love with On Purpose. I can’t wait for you to listen to your first or 500th episode!
