Speaker 1 (00:00):
The game is done.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Wrap this one up.
Speaker 1 (00:04):
Now the reaction begins. This is Clippers locker Room, your
postgame look at the LA Clippers on.
Speaker 3 (00:10):
The LA Clippers Audio Network.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
Now your pre and postgame host, Adam Osley.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
You're Los Angeles Clippers have dropped four straight after losing
it home, this time to the Phoenix Suns one fourteen
to one oh three, and they are three and six
nine games into this young twenty twenty five twenty twenty
six NBA season. Welcome into your postgame show. I'm Adam Oslin.
Coming up. We will get to your phone calls if
(00:41):
you want to get on early eight six, six ninety seven,
two five seventy is We're on a five to seventy
LA Sports tonight locally. Before any of that, let's get
back to your radio voice of the Clippers. Well, I
was ranting to myself and to the people in the
chat on the YouTube side during the break there, Carlo.
But the one thing that stands out to me through
(01:01):
this first nine games of the season for the Clippers
is just they are not committed to consistent basketball on
either end, or you can say they're playing with the
right effort and intensity where they have the attention to details.
Like we saw when they made runs against Phoenix. They
were able to do it in spurts, but they can't
do it for forty eight minutes right now.
Speaker 4 (01:22):
No, I mean there's clearly lolls that are doing them in.
And James Harden played forty minutes tonight and the Clippers
were five and oh when he played forty minutes last
season and was a minus eight seen, And I think
for the Clippers team, there's two parts here. Guys are
still learning how to play with each other. But when
you give up twenty points off offensive rebounds, I mean
(01:43):
that's an effort stat right there. And the Clippers just
have to be better on the glass. You have to
be better at fighting a man boxing out. They got
to be better at taking care of the ball. There's
a lot of positives. I think Bradley Beal was a
positive in this game and he says zu bots back
to back big games for the Clippers.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
I like that.
Speaker 4 (02:01):
I thought John Collins was great on the offensive end,
nineteen points, a couple of cists, but man, the Clippers
just struggled to put together. You put it perfectly at them,
complete stretches. I mean seventeen second quarter points.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
Well, and the lack of focus towards the end of
that second quarter is just confounding to me. It is
a three point game with three minutes left, and for
some reason they had senior itis or I had to
foot out the door to get the halftime as fast
as possible, because they had three turnovers in the last
two minutes and fifty seconds. All three of them were
pretty inexcusable lacks of daysical self inflicted wounds, and the
(02:39):
Suns are just walking into three pointers against them, and
you go from being down three to being down fourteen
twenty four minutes in. To me, that's this game in
a nutshell in some ways, and maybe this season so
far it's just a microcosm of things where you have
to know in today's dan age in this league right now,
you lose focus for a couple of minutes, you can
(03:01):
lose the game right there, especially.
Speaker 4 (03:02):
With the pace being at a forty year high right like,
everyone's playing so fast, and so anytime you take your
foot off the gas, somebody else is gonna come and
take the lead. And for the Clippers it was run
away with the lead as Phoenix went on that big
eleven oero run. You're right at him. That was the
difference in the game. Joey Kimball handed me a note
that it wasn't within closer than five the entire rest
(03:24):
of the game. I mean, the Clippers just couldn't get
it to a one possession game the entire way, you know.
I like the wrinkle from tylu of getting Christy out
there for Chris Paul, I think that gives you more speed.
I think he was great on the glass. I thought
he played good defense at times. But for the Clippers,
the offensive rebounds just can't have it. You just can't
have it.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
There is a thought that I've been trying to push aside,
but it keeps creeping into the corner of my brain
and barking at me, like Dylan Brooks and James Harden
were barking at each other in this game at times
that maybe, and I hope this is not the case,
but UE like that right now to start this season,
that the league is trending in a direction that specifically
(04:07):
targets older teams with their focus on getting in transition
more and easy buckets, and also so many smalls crashing
the glass and using up energy there and making you
have to close out possessions by having everyone else rebound
out there, and the Clippers just aren't meeting that challenge
or don't have the legs too or because of the
age issue. It's a real problem right now.
Speaker 4 (04:30):
It is, Adam, And you know, you wonder, like with pace,
does it hold up in the postseason, because that's always
the question. Right in the postseason. Traditionally the game has
slowed down. But look at the two teams who made
the finals. They played at a blazing pace. So you know,
it is basketball in the league. As Chuck Monckler would say,
is BASKETBA or you said, Adham, it's basketball passing the
(04:51):
Clippers by, I don't think so. I think they'll make
the adjustment. We already saw a little bit of that
with cam Christie playing today. But how do the Clippers
get faster? That's gonna be the question.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Yeah, Clippers have to regroup and figure this out. They
put themselves in a three and six hole to start
off the season, which is unfathomable considering the teams they
have played and how soft the schedule looked initially in
the first ten games. While we have a moment, let's
pause ten seconds for station identification. Here in Los Angeles
Clippers Audio Network, this is.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
La Clippers Basketball AM five to seventy KLAC Los Angeles,

Speaker 2 (05:32):
Clippers put themselves in an uphill battle they would not
be able to come back in as they lose one
fourteen to one oh three at home to the Phoenix Suns.
Clippers dropped to three and six on the season. And
these are difficult times Clipper Nation. We'll talk about it
all here on Clippers Top. But Carlo great call is always.
Let's do it again with a twist, the Clippers winning
(05:53):
on Monday night against the Atlanta Hawks. Tip off at
seven thirty pregame at six thirty. I'll see them, my
friend Adam, we got another one.
Speaker 4 (06:00):
It's not the end of the season, and if the
Clippers have another opportunity to win, I'll take it.
Speaker 5 (06:04):
Let's go.

Clippers start three and two this season, and now I've
lost four in a row. After shooting fifty three percent
from the field, they lose one fourteen to one oh
three at home to the Phoenix Suns. Welcome back into
your post game show. I'm at a Mosland Okay, coming up.

(06:49):
But as I talked about before the break and during
it on the YouTube side, Clippers talk, this game to
me was lost at the end of the first half.
You cannot give up an eleven zero run in the
last three minutes of the second quarter like that. You
cannot let go of the rope or lose focus or
(07:11):
be that absent minded and feel like, hey, we're down
by three, we're right there, and then just give it
away and be down by fourteen at sixty to forty
six at the half. Now you put yourself in a
terrible position. Or even when you make these runs as
they did in the third to get it down to
(07:32):
five heading into the fourth, as they got it down
to five multiple times it's an uphill battle and the
Clippers aren't making that climb right now. They're not good
enough on either end, but you give up. I was
(07:52):
looking at the halftime box score. I was like, it's
more than thirteen. I believe it ended up. No, it
ended up thirteen offensive rebounds for the Phoenix Suns leading
to twenty second chance points. Felt worse than that, but
considering the Clippers only had seven A plus thirteen there
(08:13):
for Phoenix. And it happened again the same thing that
happened on Thursday night. They got beat up on the
glass the suns. They didn't shoot the volume from distance
quite like the nineteen three porters. I want to say
they made on Thursday night, but they made sixteen sixteen
to thirty eight and the Clippers are ten to thirty
(08:34):
three from the outside. That can't happen. Clippers only had
eleven turnovers. That was a good sign, but you still
get out shot in this game where Phoenix is getting
up six more shots eighty three to the Clippers seventy seven,
and the Clippers went eleven of eighteen at the charity stripe.
(08:55):
That is sixty one percent. That is inexcusable. It wasn't
a Visa Zubats missing a bunch or one player. It
just was a lack of focus from guys. Niko Batoum
Saint Nick tried to save them late with three straight
three pointers. I believe it was. They had it to
within five. He has the block on Dylan Brooks, looks
(09:18):
like he's gonna have an open layup. They call a
timeout and Devin Booker gets an end. One out of
that biggest point of the game, most critical point. This
Clippers team is just they can't put it together. They
can't put together long enough stretches of quality play on
either end. And I don't care that Kawhi was out tonight.
(09:42):
Jalen Green was out after the first quarter for Phoenix.
Clippers are three and six. They lose one fourteen to

the home and home they got swept and the home

coming up we will have Coach low comments and quotes
for you. Really also felt like James Harden in the
fourth quarter had a rough one. The shot selection was poor,
the decision making was poor. He's four or fifteen in
the ballgame with just thirteen points. I know he was
under the weather, but some of those shots that he
(10:59):
took the fourth quarter, a Logo three pointer from straight
away that was short, You'll advised when the Clippers had
Batoom and Zubots, who are starting to heat up, a
lot of issues going on with this team right now,
(11:20):
but I can simplify it to just not being able
to execute well enough for forty eight minutes right now
and pretty much every area of basketball. We'll talk about
it coming up next on Clippers Talk on m five

Welcome in the Clippers Talk, the official postgame show of
the Clippers on the LA Clippers Audio Networkload up the
phones and make your feelings know. Now your host for
Clippers Talk, it's Adam Auslang.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
Well deja vu here as the Phoenix Suns are hot
from the outside again and out rebound the Clippers dramatically
and beat them this time at Into a Dome one
fourteen to one three as they win the home at
home and sweep it against the Clippers. Thursday and now
Saturday night. Welcome in to Clippers Talk. I'm out of Maslim.
(18:11):
Your LA Clippers are three and six. If you want
to get on tonight eight sixty six nine eight seven
two five seventy eight six six nine eighty seven two
five seventy is the phone number. There's a lot we
could key into here. There are a myriad of issues,
but ultimately it comes down to execution and effort, and
I feel like the Clippers have been lacking in both
(18:32):
of those areas. It's one thing if the effort is there,
but the execution isn't. But it took them far too
long to get their defense going and for them to
really rally in the second half after being down by eighteen,
and that timeout coming from coach lou But I'm going
(18:55):
to sum up this loss with what happened at the
end of the second quarter, because to me, that is
just beyond the pale. It is inexcusable for the Clippers
to give up an eleven zero run in a three
point game in the last three minutes of the second quarter.
(19:18):
The Clippers had a brief lead after a seven oh
run in the second quarter at forty two to forty one,
and by brief they had it for seventeen seconds. That's it.
That's the only lead they had in this game. They
led for seventeen seconds by my count. The Suns will
(19:38):
then hit some three pointers they're down by five again.
This happened over and over again. Dylan Brooks and Goodwin
in this instance put the Clippers down by five. But
the Clippers were right there were in a position to
(19:59):
have to within five points at least. Heading into the half,
you're down by three. First, Gillespie hits a three pointer
with Cam sagging off on him and looking like he's
coming over to help. I'm not sure why the young
man made a mistake. I think overall Cam has been
a positive. You live with the mistakes the last couple
(20:21):
of games. Then DJ misses a three badly. On the
other end, Booker turns the corner on James Harden, who
they were hunting and even more so than usual, maybe
because of his illness. Went to the ram, but Tom
was the last line of defense. Got an easy reverse layup.
(20:43):
Now it's fifty four to forty six, down by three.
Now you're down by eight. Zoo in offensive foul and
a moving screen. On the other end, Booker two O'Neil,
who misses a three. They get the offensive rebound, but
then Booker actually got clamped by Cam. Christie with some
great defense, goes out on Phoenix Harden long floater missus.
(21:04):
He had a very off night, especially in the fourth.
Then the Clippers got beat down the floor and as
Booker to Gillespie for another three pointer, it's fifty seven
to forty six. After another offensive rebound by the Suns
(21:27):
that led to that shot, another Zoo turnover, just a
lazy pass, Gillespie hits a three over dj now and
it's sixty forty six and the half after Harden throws
a turnover before the half is over around the thirty
second mark, looking for Bratomb in a wild cross court pass.
(21:49):
You were down three, How do you unravel like that
and get down by fourteen that fast? Like it's just
attention to detail stuff and losing folk. Okay, the Suns
were hot from three, but you're putting them in a
good position there with bad turnovers, with offensive rebounds, really
(22:13):
really concerning into the half by the Clippers. It was
forty nine to forty six at the three to Zho
seven mark, And it's just a team that I don't
know if they were waiting to get to the half,
if they got tired, leaves to mental fatigue, they just
(22:37):
looked down right on serious at times. I'm a put
like that. Their defense was good enough last season where
they could get away with Lowells on the offensive end
and some of the stuff we're talking about. The defense
has not been good enough this season so far. On
the offensive end, they have issues. On the defensive end,
(22:59):
they have issues. It's all over the place. It's not
one player, but really disappointed in how they started the
third quarter. Then they get do with Meats Zubot's a
dunk to start. Harden hits a three pointer, their first
(23:19):
three since the seven h seven mark of the first quarter,
because at the half they were one for fourteen from three,
and some people think we don't take three pointers. Then
it's such a part of the game. If you don't,
if you don't get that rhythm at some point, it's
gonna be very hard to come back. One of the
reasons they got back into this game is because they
(23:40):
stayed with it and started hitting. Looka wipa tomb did.
You can't just completely go away from the three ball,
which you're down fourteen at a half, You really can't.
It's integral to the game now. But then Booker gets
fouled on three and then the Clippers give up a
runout for Mark Williams for a dunk. They're down eighteen,
(24:05):
so they start off okay, and then a couple of
really poor possessions, fouling Booker on a three, getting beat
down the floor by Mark Williams. Coach Luke calls the
time out. You seem to get their attention. Beale hits
back to back three pointers out of that time out.
Now it's sixty nine to fifty seven. Hardened to zoo
(24:28):
for a pushot is a ten point game? Like that?
DJ gets a layup in traffic. It's a nine point game,
but you made it so much more difficult on yourself.
And every time the Clippers chipped away against the lead,
(24:51):
the Sons would make a play or the Clippers would
make another mistake. We had these offensive fouls on Devin Booker.
Both of them were challenged, really chaotic sequence where then
Booker had a chance and a layup and some Clippers
blocked him. On the other end, I think DJ got blocked. Meanwhile,
it's an eight point game at seventy eight to seventy.
(25:12):
They did respond to that time out down eighteen by
coach lou and he stuck with the starters. I thought
he was gonna make a move right then they went
on a ten to zero run. Booker actually got called
for a flopping foul, extremely rare, and the Clippers are
down seven after Harden hits the technical free throw, but
(25:35):
Cam fowls Gillespie as he catches him in the air,
and then you get an offensive rebound as Gillespie misses
the second free throw. Clippers didn't get burned by that one.
Collins gets a lay up on the other end, a
Cam Christy three made it a five point game, and
(25:58):
the Clippers had it to within five into the fourth.
At eighty five to eighty to start the fourth quarter.
It's hard and it's Lopez Collins, but toom and I
believe done out there. Lopez misses a three, and I
like some of what we saw from Brook Lopez and
I if you're looking for any positives, he doesn't hit
a three. He hit goes four or five on two
(26:20):
pointers where he had mismatches and just went to work
bank shots fall away over double team. That was good,
but he missed that only three took early in the
fourth and Allen hit a three on the other end,
and there was a bad rotation. Harden takes a long
three that I didn't like falling away. That's the stuff
(26:44):
that I thought all four of his attempts in the
fourth quarter outside of the step back. Maybe that was
a decent look, so three of his attempts worked the
offense a little bit more. The Clippers then gave up
another offensive rebound off a Gillespie miss from three. Goodwin
(27:06):
gets it offensive rebound to Allen, who's hot, hits an
earth three ninety one to eighty timeout. Clippers are back
down by eleven after they just cut it to five
heading into the fourth. Harden then takes that mid range
shot flat out of the timeout. Richard's jumper. Now you're
down thirteen. John Collins hit a three pointer, made a
(27:31):
ten point game again, and then Grayson Allen hit a
fade away three on the left wing on Aviatsa Zubos.
That was a tough shot, but he's hot. He already
hit two, so he is three three pointers early in
the fourth. It's ninety six to eighty three. I thought
John Collins had some great moments. A layup going right,
he had nineteen second in scoring, and then after a
(27:54):
Zoo floater and some Mark Williams free throws, Nico Batoom
goes off and we've been waiting for this. He hadn't
had a multi three pointer made game. He hits a
three to make it ninety eight to ninety turnover Sons
and Harden miss a three falling away at the six
fifteen mark. You're down by eight. He takes this really
(28:17):
tough shot. I know he was under the weather. It
just was an ill advised shot. Clippers did get a stop.
Nico hits another three, ninety eight eighty three, five point game, timeout,
suns Brooks. Dylan Brooks hit a three, then over John
(28:42):
Collins at the five thirty mark of the fourth one
oh one to ninety three, Nico hits another three. He
has scored nine straight points for them. Five point game again.
John Collins got lost then on Roiz O'Neill, who answers
with the three. That was a huge shot. Done. Lay
(29:03):
up those six point game. Mark Williams then lay up
on Zoo. Eight point game. Delay a game on Dylan Brooks,
who headbuted the basketball. Afterwards, Clippers get the free throw
one O six to ninety nine. Then Zoo has a
beautiful move spinning on Mark Williams for a dunk one
O six to one oh one, five point game again.
(29:23):
They could not get over that hump. O'Neill misses a
three on the left wing, Zoo misses but dump. Chris
Dunn tips it back and there's a hard and turnover,
and but Toom has a crazy rear view block on
Dylan Brooks. I call it Buttoombo block tomb whatever you
(29:47):
want to say. Amazing play. This is the biggest shot
of the game. Though it's back to a five point lead.
It's the Sun's ball. Nico got the block, but out
off of him. They're about to inbound it. And what
(30:08):
happens here at the three zero two mark, Devin Booker
draws a foul on Chris Dunn on an n one
makes it one o nine to one oh one after
he hits the free throw. That was just brutal. Zoo
found Collins inside, who misses a floater. Harden takes a
(30:32):
Logo three, just a hero ball type of shot. Roise
O'Neil hits a three. They're up eleven. It's over. Clippers
lose one to fourteen to one oh three. They're three
and six, and the lack of execution is really concerning,
really concerning, because they can't put together long stretches of
(30:57):
quality basketball on either end, and it's a symbiotic relationship
offense and defense. You're turning the ball over and hurts
your defense. I thought they played better defense after the
first quarter where they gave up thirty five points, but
they still couldn't get enough stops when they needed too.
Late in that bucket by Devin Booker. With Jalen Green
(31:19):
out the game, he took over when he needed to.
He still only had twenty one points on eight of
nineteen shooting, but he almost had his first triple double
of his career. Believe it or not, Devin Booker was
twenty one to ten and nine with those three three
pointers by Grace Nollen to start the fourth and James
Harden going four in the fourth quarter with some questionable shots.
(31:44):
All this adds up to the Clippers undoing one fourteen
to one oh three and they're three and six quick
time out. We'll come back. I'll talk about coach lou
post game, looking for quotes from him. We'll get your
phone calls to eight, six, six nine. I've been two
five to seventy eight six six ninety eighty seven two
five to seventy. I'm outa Moslin and you're listening to
(32:04):
Clippers talk you're on five to seventy LA Sports.
Speaker 3 (32:13):
Streaming on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (32:15):
This is the Los Angeles Clippers Heart exclusively on the
LA Clippers on Network.
Speaker 2 (32:23):
Four straight losses for the Clippers. They start off the
season three and six. Last time they did that was
two years ago. They ended up having their best stretch
in regular season history, going twenty six and five over
a thirty one game stretch. But I'm not asking you
to buy in and say or believe that's going to happen. Now.
(32:43):
It's a new season, it's a different roster. They don't
have Kawhi again. He's expected to miss a few more
games with the right ankle injury. But they had enough
to win tonight's game. They had enough to win Thursday's game.
They led that game in the This time, instead of
waiting for the third quarter to just unravel like they
(33:04):
did on Thursday night, they wait until the end of
the second quarter. So they're inventing ways to lose. Now.
It feels like Sean in Inglewood. Sean, you're on Clippers
stop without a Mason. What's up? Sean? Give me like
thirty seconds?
Speaker 6 (33:23):
He First of all, I want to say, it's kind
of hypocritical to talk about the Clippers not getting rebounds
when you have a six foot six power for it
that weighs about a buck seventy five.
Speaker 2 (33:36):
John, John, would it surprise you that they had a
Visa Zubats and John Collins out there when a lot
of those offensive rebounds were happening.
Speaker 6 (33:45):
Well, they actually started all these other games, Derek, just
they they didn't.
Speaker 2 (33:51):
They start when they finished that John Collins was playing
in the fourth quarter when the Sons were getting those
offensive rebounds. So we can actually talk about what what happened,
or you can just narrative.
Speaker 6 (34:03):
I'm talking about all eight all nine games. I'm talking
about all nine games where your coach refuses to put
too big men in at the same time.
Speaker 2 (34:14):
But he Jehn Sean Sean, Sean se So maybe you
can help me out, Daniel, Maybe you can help me out.
Maybe you can help you out, Sean. We can't talk
about a different reality because they did have size out there.
They had John Collins batooma to beat the zoo bots,
(34:35):
and they still were getting killed on the glass. I
have to talk about what actually happened out there. I
understand if you want to dumb everything down, to just
start John Collins and that will fix everything. I am
pointing out that he was in there with Batoom and
zobots and they still were giving up rebounds. Do you
understand that part, Sean, that was just one quarter, That
(34:59):
was just one quarter that decided the game.
Speaker 6 (35:03):
No, that was just one quarter. What about the other
eight games? Seriously? Man, they play too small, they play
too slow. That is their problem. And they have a
coach that will not put tall people in together so
they can get a cohesive thing going.
Speaker 2 (35:19):
Okay, So the fact that when they were playing big
and they still got beat on the boards at the
most critical point of the game means nothing to you.
Speaker 6 (35:29):
Now if you only do it for one quarter or
one and a half quarter now and nine games, no,
that means nothing. Okay, I mean that means nothing.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
You give me the same thing. I understand your point.
I've said before I would start John Collins, I would
play him more. I'm just saying it obviously wasn't the
cure all. Tommy leaving the game, Tommy, what's up? You're
on Clipperstock?
Speaker 7 (35:57):
Hey, Adam, I'm here with my dad.
Speaker 8 (35:58):
Tom.
Speaker 2 (36:00):
What's up? Tommy? And Tom? You know.
Speaker 7 (36:04):
I don't want to harp on too many things that
you've already said, But you know, some of the things
that I saw, and I thought that was pretty bad,
was it. I thought in the second quarter, our spacing
was horrible. There were a few times where I saw
Beale and Derek Jones Junior right next to Rechard to
each other in the corner on the three point line.
I just I didn't understand that a few times. And
you know, I thought our rebounding was horrible. Gillespie and
(36:27):
Booker looking right here. They each had three offensive rebounds,
So I mean that that's something that has to be addressed.
And I thought sorts the end of the game. We
know exactly what you're saying. It just felt like we
were down five and we just couldn't get over that once.
I think it happened in the third quarter. In the
fourth quarter a lot, and we just missed our rotations
(36:47):
every time because Royce O'Neil was wide open for three.
It was either Grayson Allen or him. They were wide
open like and I think that speaks a little bit
to our age that we can't get over and go
guard the open man. So I think there's a serious
issue with So you know without you know, a bad
game has to have positives, and I think in order
to address that a little bit, we need to play
(37:08):
more Cam Christie. He looks great the other night. He
looks great tonight. I know he only had eight points,
but he's a kid, and I think that he brings
youth that we need out there. And as much as
I love Chris Paul, I think that, you know, he
needs to get those minutes over him and Bogdanovich Zubots
looked a lot more like himself tonight. We've we've been
missing that, you know, I'm missing those twenty point games,
(37:30):
those a lot of rebounds that he's has and uh,
and we have to start talking about putting John Collins
in the starting lineup because we can't walk out in
the next game and have the tunes starting out there
if Collins is going to be like this, because I
don't think Bradley Beal has found himself yet and I
think that's something that probab will eventually be better.
Speaker 2 (37:48):
But I'm not saying you're making bad points. I just
at some point I have to jump in.
Speaker 1 (37:54):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (37:56):
I just would point out that like the idea of
John Owens is going to solve everything. I think is
a fallacy. Do I want him in the starting lineup?
Of course. They played the last ten minutes of the
ballgame with Harden, Batoom Done, Collins and Zobots.
Speaker 8 (38:17):
And.
Speaker 2 (38:19):
They still struggled to get those rebounds. Like they got
a lot of issues right now. It's just I just
I think people just want to oversimplify so they can
go after Coach Lou when there's other issues going on.
But now I think you made some great points, Tommy.
Speaker 8 (38:38):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (38:38):
Yeah, be a regular all right, appreciate you calling in.
We'll take a quick time out here. Clippers lose one
fourteen to one oh three at home to the Phoenix Suns.
They've lost four straight. Yeah, Cam Christie's look good. If
you're playing him a ton of minutes this early in
the season, it might be a bad sign. It might
(39:01):
be your three and six. I love Cam Christie, but
Coach Lou is looking for answers and for all those
people always criticize him for not playing young guys. There
seems like Cam Christie's played the last two games and
the Clippers still lost both. But I'm at a mouslim
and this is clipperstock. You're on N five seventy LA Sports.
Speaker 1 (39:26):
This is the Los Angeles Clippers. They can contend for
a title. Heard exclusively, I'm the LA Clippers Audio Network.
Speaker 2 (39:35):
Clippers lose one fourteen to one oh three, and I've
lost four in a row. As they drop another one
to the Phoenix Suns, hear it into it doom. I'm
at a Moslim. This is Clippers Talk. Clipper Edward calling
back in from Canada Hills. Clipper Edward, what's up.
Speaker 5 (39:52):
Oh man, Adam. I wish I could call you on
a good turn, but you know, we lose again. I'm disappointed.
I'm embarrassed. Maybe I overreacted on the last call with Collins,
but I still think his IQ between the ears is
not too good, his passing is not good, his defense
is sloppy.
Speaker 2 (40:13):
Uh And you're literally the only person in Clipper nation
that will criticize John Collins. I think Clipper Edward, I
guess I will too, because he's not a perfect player
and nobody is. I still think you take the positives,
even with some of the downside stuff or some of
the mistakes out there. But I get what you're saying.
Speaker 5 (40:33):
Yeah, I mean John Collins, he's a great player. He's
a great scorer, but it's just like he's he's too lazy.
Like on the defense, he's not putting his hands up,
he's not boxing out. A lot of his points are
just like I feel like it's lucky, Like a lot of.
Speaker 2 (40:49):
A lot of the bounce him and he gets his points.
Speaker 5 (40:52):
Are you know whatever?
Speaker 2 (40:54):
Now you're taking it too far.
Speaker 5 (40:55):
This is his name, this is said some of his points,
some of his point.
Speaker 2 (41:00):
Once we start veering into that area talking about a
professional basketball player and saying some of his points are lucky,
I just I'm sorry.
Speaker 6 (41:07):
Man.
Speaker 5 (41:08):
You you know when the when the rebounds accidentally bounds
to you, when people are trying to get it and
then bounce it to you.
Speaker 2 (41:16):
Yes, there are some rebounds you're fortunate to get. But
like that probably says you have a bias if you
speak about one guy and say he's the only one
that's getting lucky rebounds, Like are you gonna say that
for everybody else?
Speaker 5 (41:29):
Because it happens all game because nobody else got rebounds.
Speaker 2 (41:33):
Nobody else got rebounds. I'm looking at the stash sheet here.
It wasn't just John Collins.
Speaker 8 (41:37):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (41:39):
I appreciate the phone call Edward. I gotta take another
time out here. Clippers lose to one to three. John Collins, Uh, yeah,
I can't. I can't ride with that. That was that
was too far. He's just getting lucky out there. Come on,
what are we doing? You only add four rebounds. By
(42:01):
the way, you had nineteen points off the bench, and
I think is a net positive overall and should play more.
He played twenty eight minutes in this game. It's not
nothing more. Clipperstock next Tyre on the M five seventy
Ola Sports.
Speaker 3 (42:24):
Streaming on the iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 1 (42:27):
This is the Los Angeles Clippers Heart exclusively on the
LA Clippers Network.
Speaker 2 (42:33):
Clippers lose one, fourteen to one to three. Add into
a dome, the three and six, Mike and La. You're
on Clippers Stock without Mausa.
Speaker 8 (42:41):
You know, everyone's talking about John Collins starting or this
or that. I think really, I mean, I think you
probably should start. But I think Bradley deal, and I
know that Thomas going to be a starter and everything.
I think moving him to the bench, making him a
sixth man would really be the right move. And you know,
when they're healthy, have a starting lineup of you know,
James Harden, you know Chris Dunn or maybe DJ Kawhi,
(43:05):
John Collinson Zoo.
Speaker 6 (43:07):
I think you know, yeah, Mike, I hear you.
Speaker 2 (43:10):
I've said all summer long the ideal starting lineup for
me would be Harden, Done Kawhi, Collins, Zoo. But it
looks like Bradley Beal was promised the starting job or
they just feel like he's the best option. Now. I
think you can make the argument that until he's up
to speed and not on a twenty minute restriction, maybe
(43:32):
at least till then you keep bringing him off the bench.
When he gets out the restriction, maybe you make him
the full time starter because they got to stow start. Mike,
I'm gonna take a time out. I appreciate the phone call.
I'm sorry. We'll take a quick time out. Clippers lose
one fourteen to one oh three, final time out, come
(43:53):
back and close things out. In preview Monday's game, I'm
at a masland and you're listening to Clippers sock here.
Speaker 1 (44:05):
This is the Los Angeles Clippers. They can conten for
a title heard exclusively on the LA Clippers Audio Network.
Speaker 2 (44:15):
All right, clippernation or three and six. We're probably wondering
how I got here, what's the freeze frame movie trope?
Probably wondering how I ended up here. Never saw this
company to start off the season. Gotta be honest about that.
Thought it worse. They'd be six and four for the
(44:35):
first ten games. Now, at best they'll be four and six.
To do that, they gotta win on Monday Night over
the Phoenix Suns tip off at seven thirty. Back, you're
it into a dome. Not against Phoenix again, excuse me,
against Atlanta on Monday night. Before we get out of here,
I do want to think the Clippers organization. Ralph Lawler,
Brian Seaman, Noah Ego, Carlo Jimenez on the call, big brother,
Jake Warner, our head engineer. We got Daniel West back
(44:57):
in the bank. Joey Kimball, our statistician. I'm outa Maslin

but it's going on your feed right after the show.
