Hi, this is Carol Miller. Welcome to our Get the
Letout calendar. On March ninth, nineteen seventy, led Zeppelin played
the third show of a sixth night run through Europe
without any breaks in the itinerary. Four of those shows
were in West Germany, although they had started off the
tour in Montreu, Switzerland. This particular night was in Vienna, Austria.

At the four thousand capacity Conserhouse, Robert Plant announced they'd
play Heartbreaker from led Zeppelin two, but an instrumental routine
came before it, Rice Pudding, taken from guitarist Jeff Beck's
second solo album, Beckola. On March tenth, nineteen seventy five,

Led Zeppelin were mid show in San Diego when Robert
Plant told a story to introduce their next song, Dazed
and Confused. Robert's recollection of the first led Zeppelin rehearsal
began with the opening lyric from Don McLean's song American Pie.
