Hi, this is Carol Miller. Welcome to our Get the
Letout calendar. On March ninth, nineteen seventy, led Zeppelin played
the third show of a sixth night run through Europe
without any breaks in the itinerary. Four of those shows
were in West Germany, although they had started off the
tour in Montreu, Switzerland. This particular night was in Vienna, Austria.

At the four thousand capacity Conserhouse, Robert Plant announced they'd
play Heartbreaker from led Zeppelin two, but an instrumental routine
came before it, Rice Pudding, taken from guitarist Jeff Beck's
second solo album, Beckola. On March tenth, nineteen seventy five,

Led Zeppelin were mid show in San Diego when Robert
Plant told a story to introduce their next song, Dazed
and Confused. Robert's recollection of the first led Zeppelin rehearsal
began with the opening lyric from Don McLean's song American Pie.
I could still remember when music we used to make.

Respond About six and a half years ago. We got
together in a little room and loved a decided that
we should play a few chues to see whether it
was good or bad. The first scene that we played
guid was the decision that we should never ever stop.

This was it. On March eleventh, nineteen seventy five, temperatures
in not so Sunny California were in the fifties for
led Zeppelin's stay in Los Angeles. When they arrived at
Long Beach for their arena show, the afternoon thunderstorm had ended,
but it was still cloudy. Robert Plant said, led Zeppelin

felt invigorated and they would use it to their advantage.

Feeling reinfigurated by the English weather you've been having. You know,
it's let's put us back into the healthy you know,
sometimes on the road he gets a bit and then
you get the English weather in La that's too much.

Thirty years ago, around March twelfth, nineteen ninety six, the
led Zeppelin Tribute CD and comium was still being reissued
by Atlantic Records in South American countries, a year after
its original US release. Contemporary stars like Sheryl crow Stone,
Temple Pilots, Four Non Blondes, and Hoody and the Blowfish

covered led Zeppelin songs. On one Robert Plant sang along
with Tory Amos. Most international editions of the CD started
with a track unavailable in the US, a Spanish language
take a Fool in the Rain by Mexican band Manya Lo.

Fifty five years ago. On March thirteenth, nineteen seventy one,
Led Zeppelin bounced back from a night off in England
to play a show at the Bath Pavilion my design.
The crowd was limited to twelve hundred and fifty participants,
whom Jimmy Page said, we're quote tremendous, a marvelous audience.

tour took led Zeppelin quote back to the clubs. Quoting
Jimmy again, there's never an atmosphere like in the small clubs.
