nineteen seventy one, Led Zeppelin played at the Marquee Club
in London's Soho district for their fourth and final time.
After an absence five days short of two years, Zeppelin
returned to the Marquee specifically for their quote back to

in LA for The Pretty Things, a band on Zeppelin's
record Company Swan song. Partygoers saw two ice sculptures in

shown on the album cover of Silk Torpedo from The
Pretty Things. Partygoers included drummer Keith Moon and Buddy Miles,

groups Manhattan Transfer and Bad Company. On March twenty seventh,
nineteen seventy, led Zeppelin played for the first time at
the LA Forum in Inglewood, California. It was a sellout crowd.
They would play sixteen shows at the LA Forum, the
most at any venue, not just in the US, but

anywhere in the world. The LA Forum edged out in
New York's Madison Square Garden by only one show. One
particular audience member taping Zeppelin's first LA Forum show was
obviously wowed. Jimmy Page recalls.

As far as I was concerned, when we played in America,
we always played with all the stops out. We played
at our best, the mean average of any cops. It
was always at a fantastic quality. But when we got
to LA so We always seemed to be playing at
our best because we had la Forum on this incredible
audience of the willingly want to just perform the incredible
feats of magic.
