A federal appeals court has rejected and illegal alien gang

members claim that he cannot be deported back to l
Salvador because prison conditions there amount to torture. Former immigration
judge Mark Metcalf says that argument doesn't hold up.

Torture is a crime, and it is an intentional act.
Prison conditions may vary, but they are not necessarily directed
at one alien. So the court made right ruling for
the right reason.
Speaker 1 (00:24):
The ruling means other illegal aliens cannot use harsh conditions
in their home countries as a defense to block deportation.
