o'clock yesterday, and she shared an update that I wanted
to replay because I know a lot of people listening
have been through this. She gave us an update on
her fertility journey.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
I had my egg retrieval last week, and I've learned
so much about having a baby and the human body,
and I feel like I'm an IVF expert at this point.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
So they were able to retrieve one egg.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
We didn't think we'd get any, okay, but they were
able to get one, and my doctor's been calling it
the golden egg. And it has to kind of be
looked at by the lab for seven days because they
wanted to grow to a certain point and really be healthy.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
And yesterday was day seven.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
So I was just standing by my phone for that
report from the lab and it came in and we
now have.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
A healthy embryo.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
Hooray.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
So it did what it needed to do. There's still
so many steps ahead of us, but it's like, Okay,
check this off the list. We can breathe for a
little bit and we're one step closer to having a baby.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
That's so great.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
Yeah, but we're so excited.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
Last time, I did an egg retrieval a couple of
years ago, and we tried this a couple months ago,
and I had about four eggs, but none of them
made it to this point. They were they were like
a bad quality of an egg.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
So now we.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
Are farther than we were last time, and we're just
like full steam ahead.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
We're thinking positive thoughts and yes, we're closer to it.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
Well, add some positive thoughts on this site as well.
Thank you, love to you, Love to Jeff. I'm so
excited keep us posted rooting for you. I'm crossing my
fingers all right.

because I've gotten some early feedback on your efforts and
I think it's important to break it down just to
help you. Hey, yeah, I love it.
Speaker 5 (03:29):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
Yet please, first of all, personally, I need you to
slow down on the whole like I'm an iron man
ultra athlete thing, because my wife follows your page and
she wants to know what I'm doing with my life.
So let's just start their baseline.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
I'm a short guy in person, so.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
It's oh, he's a compensating short king. Okay, I get
it now, It's.
Speaker 4 (03:48):
True man, it's a Tom Holland.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
You know how tall are you?
Speaker 6 (03:53):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Is that even short? That's not quite fun sized status?
You're Okay, my producer, Taylor, who's standing here? She has
crocs with two inch heels. We might have to set
them up.
Speaker 7 (04:03):
Yes, I have platform crocs.
Speaker 4 (04:05):
Stop that right now. I can't even do.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
Regular croc So we're talking to John Kamuci. He's new
on Star one on one three seven to midnight. You
can see his video series at Star one on one
three FM on Instagram. Taylor's friends have chimed in on
what they think you look like and how you could
potentially improve your appearance. So just I love it, I
love it. Take it, hiss feedback, Go ahead, Taylor? What
are your friends saying about John?
Speaker 8 (04:27):
So?
Speaker 9 (04:28):
My friend's Abby messaged me one of your videos and said,
good lord he is fine?
Speaker 6 (04:34):
As Is that a word we can say on the air?
Speaker 2 (04:38):
Wow?
Speaker 1 (04:38):
I mean no, I had to censor who. She gets
a little out of pockets.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
Sometimes I'm gonna say things are different up here in
Scham Francisco.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
We like to keep it real. Anything else, Taylor?
Speaker 9 (04:50):
Yes, I had another friend write in her first message
said is he single? And then another message said I
usually go for eights, but I guess I can settle
for a ton.
Speaker 5 (05:00):
See.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
I grew up a super nerdy kid.
Speaker 6 (05:02):
So I don't know how to handle compliments like that.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
Are you single?
Speaker 4 (05:05):
I am not single.
Speaker 6 (05:05):
I had a girlfriend for three years.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
All right, well, never mind her. Let's pretend just for
a couple more minutes. Did you have anything else, Taylor?
Speaker 9 (05:13):
Yes, from my gay friend Spencer, And he told me
to ask you that when he texts you later tonight,
what phone number should he use.
Speaker 6 (05:21):
I'll give him anyone he wants. I honestly like I
go to a lot of gay bars and they're always
fun for me because I almost never pay for drinks.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
Oh, I see what he's doing. Yes, it's just like you, Taylor.
Speaker 7 (05:32):
Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
You guys could totally hit Flirton is flirting.
Speaker 6 (05:37):
My girlfriend will be there and she don't mind either.
She's we're honest, you know.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
Okay, give us your IG handle just for everybody listening

welcome to star one on one three.
Speaker 4 (05:57):

thanks for checking in, looking forward to listening to you
at seven to night.
Speaker 6 (06:05):
Of course, guys, good to be cha.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
Nice guy. We like him and remember you can keep
up with really any member of the station. My instagram
is at It's Marcus D. Taylor is at tay Love
to Ease. We appreciate you. Keep the radio on eight
o five This morning, We've got the trivia game. We've
got some concert tickets for you to win, and you
can flex in front of your fronts. There you go.
It's on the way Star one on one three, Star
one O one three, It's Marcus at six forty five.
(06:28):
We're gonna check what's trending next. Quite a few things
going on. Ariana Grande says she's got a secret project
that is and this is all she's given us stage related.
She says, it's not Broadway, but it's close after. She
is now back into and making pop music. We'll see
what that's all about. Super Moon tonight. How can you
watch that? Star one O one three. It's Marcus. Good morning.
(06:48):
This is what I'm talking about. What's trending on Star
on what's happening in entertainment, news, the biggest stories of
the day, and everything people are talking about today in
the All right, so senators are mulling over a mini
funding package to reopen the government. This is good news.
They're apparently getting together. They met on Tuesday night. They're
(07:10):
creating bipartisan support for a mini funding package that would
effectively end the shutdown. Let's cross our fingers. Approvals by
Congress could come as early as early next week. I
need it earlier than that, but just keeping you posting
on that. Let's move on to something fun. Ariana Grande
is telling everybody that she's working on something, but all
she's telling us is that it's stage related, which is
(07:33):
pretty cool. So it's an interview with the New York Times.
She says, it's not Broadway, but it's something I'm very
excited about and inspired by. I think that people were
worried she was stepping away from music. She said that
there was something broken about my relationship to pop music,
but it was healed recently through the time away from
making albums and stuff. So she's working on something and
(07:53):
it's going to be stage, which I think is pretty cool.
They just released the list of the most popular boy
and girl names for twenty twenty five. I think we
all know and I love I actually love these Olivia, Amelia, Sophia, Emma,
and Isabella rounding out the top five girls for boys Noah, Liam, Oliver, Elijah,
and Matteo. I like those because they're reasonably diverse. But
(08:18):
there you go, those are the top ones. I'm not
a real big fan of this national day. I think
it's a little bit too gender weird. But National Men
Make Dinner Day. I mean, I don't know why we
got to assign genders on that one, to be honest
with you, considering like I'm a guy that makes dinner
every night. Shout out to the guys that make dinner
every night. But I'm working on a really simple recipe
for you for this evening. We'll have that posted up
(08:40):
next hour by a bout seven fifty, I'll have it
for you Asho. Also National Nacho Day coincidence, probably not.
There is a poll on the Star one oh one
three fm Instagram in the stories and it is how
do you like your nachos? Producer Taylor stepping in, what
are my choices?
Speaker 9 (08:59):
We have extra cheese, we have more gwaw okay, do
you like jalapenos or is corn your go to?
Speaker 1 (09:07):
All of that? People put corner on their nachos.
Speaker 7 (09:09):
I guess, so that's a thing.
Speaker 1 (09:11):
Mm hmm, okay, I guess.
Speaker 7 (09:13):
So we'll see how many people resonate with that.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Give me that. Gimme cheese and sour cream and jullapenos,
and I'm good to go. Go to sports really quick.
Your Golden State Warriors did drop a game last night
against the Sacramento Kings. My wife was not laughing necessarily,
but Steph Curry has had a cold or the flu,
and we all know how he got it. The kids
are back in school. That's exactly how he got it.
You're not a professional athlete getting the flu unless you
(09:37):
got three kids at home any rate. Their next game
is gonna be Friday, seven o'clock against the Nuggets. Go Dubs.
Niners have a game this weekend. The Rams are in town.
One twenty five star on that game, Go Niners. The
Sharks actually won a game. Sorry that was mean, but
they beat Seattle at home. This is seattle It's first
(09:59):
regular season home loss of the season. Next game coming
up Friday against Winnipeg seven o'clock to puck drops ghost sharks.
All right, six fifty five, that's what's trending. More variety
from the two thousands of the nineties, and today it's
Star one on one three, it's Marcus back with Second
Date Update. Let's just get into it. We'll get Evan
on the phone right now. Evan, are you there? Yeah, Hi, Hi,
good morning. I am so I want to know about
(10:22):
your date because we'd been doing Second Date Update for
a minute. You went on a first date, you got ghosted,
and now we're going to call her out on the
phone together. So tell us about Mariah absolutely.
Speaker 8 (10:33):
Well, you know, Maria and I met, we matched on
Hinge and they had a really nice conversation that kind
of led to us, want did you meet for cocktails
in the marina for our first date? Okay, and you know,
she's a classic beauty, just gorgeous, kind of a little
bit Audrey Hepburn, very smart, and she was actually a
lot of fun. So for the date, I wanted to
(10:55):
kind of dress my bass. I got a haircut so
I looked fresh, and the conversation was and I feel
like we had pretty solid chemistry.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
Okay.
Speaker 8 (11:03):
I kind of thought that for sure she'd want to
see me again. But here I am calling you because
I've been ghosting.
Speaker 1 (11:09):
So you've hit her up a couple times in like
no response or she's slow playing.
Speaker 8 (11:13):
Oh. I tried calling her the next day and you know,
left a moistmail. I you know, even sang her a song. Nothing, okay,
I texted her. I even went back through the app
unhinge nothing.
Speaker 1 (11:25):
All right, Well, we're going to call her. Ultimately, we
want to get a second date. Like that's the goal.
More variety from the two thousands of the nineties and
today it's a Star one on one three. It's Marcus.
We're doing second date update right now. We've got our
guy Evan on the phone. As a group, we're going
to help him out because he went on a date
with Mariah, had drinks in the marina and Evan, you
said there was solid chemistry and did you there should
(11:47):
be a second date. Oh, let's call her and try
to figure some things out. Go ahead and mute and
we will give her a shout so you can listen
in here we go. Hello, h I mean I speak to
Mariah please, that's the shame. Hi, Mariah, this is Marcus
(12:08):
from Star one O one three. I do the Morning Show.
Speaker 5 (12:12):
Oh my gosh, really, what's up?
Speaker 1 (12:14):
Do you listen?
Speaker 5 (12:15):
Hi? Marco?
Speaker 8 (12:16):
Thank you?
Speaker 5 (12:17):
I listen like all the time. Oh my gosh, that's crazy.
What did I went something?
Speaker 8 (12:22):
No?
Speaker 1 (12:24):
No, it's second date update time. Do you know what
that is?
Speaker 8 (12:30):
I do?
Speaker 1 (12:32):
This will make it easy. So have you been on
a date recently someone that you might have ghosted? Accidentally?
I'm going to say accidentally.
Speaker 5 (12:39):
I have, ok I was, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
Evan's on the phone. I mean, I'm figuring you know
how this works? Evan? Are you there?
Speaker 8 (12:49):
Hi'm Mariah.
Speaker 5 (12:51):
Hi Evan.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
So obviously he's looking for a second date, and we're
just trying to figure out did something go wrong? Are
you just been busy? He's feeling like you're dug and
him sow anything any insight? How was the date for you?
Speaker 5 (13:04):
Honestly, I've got to say that it was. It was
weird from the jump.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
Okay, it was weird.
Speaker 5 (13:11):
I mean, Evan is nice, but he also showed up
in a three piece suit.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
Okay, but I.
Speaker 5 (13:17):
Thought was kind of I said, you know, I thought
it was kind of cute, kind of quirky. Maybe he
was just, you know, trying to make a good person
impression or whatever. But he was also wearing one of
those I don't like a monocle. Is that what they're called,
like what mister Peanut wears, you.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
Know, like like one eyeglass with a chain.
Speaker 5 (13:37):
Yeah. Yeah, And this was like not during Halloween, by
the way. This was like he just.
Speaker 1 (13:43):
Was you know what, I was just going to ask you, like,
did you guys go out on Halloween night?
Speaker 5 (13:47):
Okay, so this was he is showing up. He showed
up with the uh you know, like a suit and
a monocle.
Speaker 1 (13:55):
As part of this fit. Okay.
Speaker 5 (13:59):
And yeah, he in fact when it start to insist
that it was his brand quote end quote, Okay, his brand,
I thought I was giving like punts. Okay. And then
during the whole conversation he went, he kept flipping into
a British accent, and then it would like stade in
and out and I'm not gonna lie I was. I
(14:20):
I loke he made front of him for first a
monocle and then the British accent. Like I thought he
was joking, and so I thought, you know, kind of
pointing it out, you know, and like kind of like
ridding him would like you know, get him to like
break the act Yeah, no, he never dropped it. He
never dropped the act.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
Evan, you were in character the whole time.
Speaker 8 (14:42):
Well, well, first of all, accents are fun, you know,
that's the.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
Playful like every Oh god, I listen.
Speaker 8 (14:49):
Then the monocle is totally my brand because it's memorable.
It's one of the kind. And you know, I wanted
to look nice with the three piece.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
Dude.
Speaker 8 (14:57):
I thought it looked like it was something you wouldn't forget.
Speaker 1 (15:01):
What about the accent?
Speaker 6 (15:03):
What?
Speaker 8 (15:06):
I don't know. It's just this thing I've always done.
It's part of my personality. It's entertaining.
Speaker 5 (15:11):
It was a little mister Peanut meets Austin powers for me.
So that's why I didn't call you back afterwards.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
So should I even ask? No second date?
Speaker 5 (15:23):
No? No, thank you, no, sir?
Speaker 1 (15:25):
Yeah, I figured, hang on, Okay, that was really strange.
You got to pull it back. You have to. It's Marcus,
It's Thursday morning, and now the study nobody wants the
results to how much exercise does it actually take to
burn off all that Halloween candy? We got last weekend
producer Taylor joining me in the studio. Do you exercise?
Speaker 7 (15:45):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (15:45):
I do? What do you do for exercise.
Speaker 9 (15:47):
I like to go for a run or go for
a walk. Northern California has so many beautiful trails.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
You were like lift weights or kettlebells or anything of
that nature.
Speaker 7 (15:54):
I attempt.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
I had times I don't even attempt. Okay, So, thanks
to the National Academy of Sports Medicine, we now know
how much exercise it takes off. For example, to burn
off a fun sized Snickers fifteen minutes straight of pushups.
To do one fund sized Snickers, I'm not sure I
could do fifteen seconds straight. But let's move on. What's
your favorite kind of candy?
Speaker 7 (16:16):
I love a Recee's Peanut butter cup.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
All right, So the Reese's Peanut butter cup has one
hundred and ten calories. You would need to jump rope
for twenty seven and a half minutes to burn off
one cup. Now, how many cups are in the package?
Speaker 7 (16:29):
I like the King size ones.
Speaker 1 (16:31):
Oh my god, if you go Kink size double for
the win, you're going to jump rope until tomorrow. Basically, uh,
Skittles only sixty calories, so you would only have to
punch a heavy bag for about seven and a half minutes.
That's doable for a full size TwixT eight minutes of
box jumps, M and M's. You think they're little, you
think they're healthy because they have peanuts and that's protein.
(16:53):
You would need to walk seven minutes on a treadmill
at a six inch incline in order to burn off
one one of the little packs. So now I'm not
talking the full size pack, the little pack.
Speaker 7 (17:03):
Hold on, Marcus, what is your favorite candy?
Speaker 1 (17:06):
I like Reese's peanut buttercups. But here's the other issue
is I love skittles. And then once I start going
into the bag, I'm not coming out, you know what
I mean.
Speaker 7 (17:14):
That's why you have to get the small bags.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
And the peanut and and well then I'm just gonna
eat three's. That's how that is. And then the stat
that truly confuses me. If you eat a fun sized
butterfinger at eighty five calories, you would need to swing
a kettlebell for anywhere between four to twenty one minutes.
Speaker 7 (17:31):
What's that extra one minute?
Speaker 1 (17:33):
Which one is it? Is it four minutes or is
it twenty one minutes? Asking for a friend? Anyway, there
you go. Thankfully on Halloween night, calories don't count, so
we're good here. That's how much exercise it takes to
burn off that Halloween candy. We don't have to talk
about that anymore. All right, on the way, we've got
good news. Great story about a twelve year old in
southern California who saved five people after their boat capsized.
(17:55):
We got that story for you at seven forty at
Star one oh one three. It's time for good news one.
Speaker 9 (18:04):
Sometimes all you need is one a good thought to
make it a great day.
Speaker 3 (18:08):
So let's do this.
Speaker 1 (18:09):
It's good news on Star one one three. Give it
to you twice in morning seven and eight forty. Great stories.
Thank you to everybody that forwards me your stories. You
could even go so far as just to tell me,
hey man, my kid made the Honor Roll. That's good
news to me. So whatever you have going on, or
if you see a story that makes you smile and
restores your faith in humanity, please forward it on at
(18:32):
It's Marcus d Up on Instagram. If you wouldn't mind
giving me a follow, wee can stay connected in the DMS.
This is the story of a twelve year old boy
in Oceanside, which is southern California, down by San Diego
who saved three people after they're boat capsized in the
ocean side side harbor, which I thought was pretty dope.
He's got Junior life card training, which is something we
(18:53):
have in Half Moon Bay. At any rate, the boat
capsize fire department was called this and then so then
private boats come in to try to help out, including
one that had this boy and his family on it. Well,
he'd been doing Junior Lifeguard for four summers. Waves down
to jet skiar helps bring three of the people in
(19:15):
the water onto his family's boat, and then proceeds to
provide first aid to a lady with a leg injury,
controlling her bleeding, giving her his clothing to keep warm.
All five people taken back to the dock where paramedics
evaluated him. They're calling him a hero. I don't have
his name, but it's just the local lifeguard sergeant just said.
(19:37):
It accentuates the importance of programs like Junior Lifeguards, so
twelve years old out their saving lives. My hero today.
I love that it's Marcus time to play the bass.
Favorite trivia games called what you know about that? Take
you out to pee town? Hev Luma say what's up
to Joe. Good morning, Joe, Hey.
Speaker 8 (19:52):
Good morning. I'm here with my daughter Avery.
Speaker 1 (19:54):
Or sixteenth birthday.
Speaker 8 (19:56):
What's up?
Speaker 5 (19:56):
Avery?
Speaker 4 (19:57):
Ya?
Speaker 8 (19:58):
Her friend Laila and Johnny so driving the school?
Speaker 1 (20:01):
So hold up? So Avery, you're sixteen?
Speaker 2 (20:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (20:04):
Are you driving right now?
Speaker 5 (20:05):
No yet?
Speaker 1 (20:06):
Okay, are you gonna You're not gonna be one of
those kids that just wants ubers all the time?
Speaker 6 (20:10):
Right?
Speaker 5 (20:10):
No, I get my license on Friday.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
Yes, girl, Well, happy birthday. Way to get it, way
to get it.
Speaker 8 (20:15):
I like it all right.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
Let's go to Coopertino all the way to the South Bay.
Say what's up to Cammy? Hi? Cammy?
Speaker 2 (20:21):
Hi?
Speaker 1 (20:22):
What are you doing this morning? I'm driving to work? Hey,
what do you do for work?
