Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's Marcus in the morning. Taylor is here. Good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Good morning.

Speaker 1 (00:03):
What is it?

Speaker 2 (00:04):
It's Wednesday.

Speaker 1 (00:04):
Wednesday, isn't it?

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Wednesday.

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Literally right before we went on the air. About a
minute and a half out. She says, and I quote, hey,
you want to hear some bad news? And then she
looked at me and she goes, oh, we've got about
a minute and a half to air.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Never mind.

Speaker 4 (00:20):
Oops.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
So I had to stew for a minute and a
half and I'm still stewing because I don't know what
the bad news is.

Speaker 2 (00:25):
Okay, but I asked you a great question after that.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Is it something we can talk about on the air?

Speaker 2 (00:31):
Yeah, what is a sinkhole?

Speaker 5 (00:33):
Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
And I made some stuff up, but it was believable.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Yeah, I honestly believe that.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Okay, so isn't it a hole that appears in the
ground due to erosion?

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Is that accurate?

Speaker 3 (00:45):
It sounds accurate, but without looking it up or asking
my boyfriend, Chet GPT, I don't actually know.

Speaker 6 (00:50):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (00:50):
I think that was a great answer. I would have
believed you. Okay.

Speaker 1 (00:53):
We'll audit me here in a moment.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Yeah, we'll come back and reevaluate.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Fantastic. We've cracked the code. We've figured out why producer
Taylor's downstairs neighbor hates her so much.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
I know.

Speaker 3 (01:04):
This is a watershed moment. If you're just joining the show,
this has been an ongoing saga. It's borderline fear thy neighbor,
if we're being real.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Pretty much at this point.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
Rosa is very aggressive.

Speaker 6 (01:17):
She is.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
She screams at you and your friends all the time. Yeah.
There have been several altercations.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
Landlords involved.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
It's a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Cameras just went in. Yesterday. Yesterday. And the reason she
doesn't like you is?

Speaker 2 (01:31):
I guess it's.

Speaker 6 (01:33):
Because I didn't introduce myself the first day when I
moved in.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
That's it?

Speaker 4 (01:38):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:38):
So she felt disrespected?

Speaker 4 (01:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
And I was moving in too loud, according to her.

Speaker 7 (01:43):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
But see, that's another thing. When I first met her,
I think one of the first.

Speaker 6 (01:47):
Things that she said to me was that she was
upset because I was moving in too loud. Hmm. But
the way she communicated it was very aggressive, so it
didn't really give an open, welcoming environment.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
You were like, we are not going to be friends.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
I have a feeling she's upset that you moved in, period.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
Yeah, period.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
So that begs the question, whose responsibility is it to
say hello and introduce themselves when somebody moves into the
neighborhood or into the apartment building or whatever? Because for me,
when I moved into my place 15 years ago, my
neighbor next door, nicest guy in the world, this is
how I knew him. Then I was like, oh, man,
I'm finally cosied. My neighbor Doug, God bless him, comes

(02:25):
out in jean shorts, like jorts.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Shorts.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
And a tie-dye and flip-flops. Oh, I love this vibe already.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
And it was 1130 on a Wednesday. And he's just like, yeah,
I work from home, low-key. Anyway, welcome to the neighborhood.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
He was so cool. You need any help with your stuff?

Speaker 2 (02:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
He helped me move a couch in flip-flops.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
That's awesome.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
It's the most Half Moon Bay thing ever.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
Amazing.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
And then my other neighbors next door, Pat and Matthew,
love them. They brought over a roasted chicken, introduced themselves.

Speaker 5 (02:54):
Oh, wow.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
So now when somebody was in the neighborhood, I've been
there 15 years, I will bring over crab. I will
find out if you like roast chicken. It's your responsibility
as a steward of the block to go say hello.

Speaker 1 (03:06):
Because guess what?

Speaker 3 (03:07):
If some new person knocks on my door to introduce themselves,
maybe I don't want to talk to anybody.

Speaker 7 (03:11):
Right.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Maybe I'm not social.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
You might think I'm like a solicitor or something.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
So that's the question for the talkback. Like whose responsibility
is it?

Speaker 3 (03:18):
Is it the new person's responsibility to walk around and
knock on my door and introduce themselves?

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Right.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
Or as a steward of your block, are you the
one that's supposed to go and introduce yourself? Or do
you not talk to your neighbors at all? I think
those are the choices.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Talkback is open. It's the little red microphone on the
iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
If you're streaming Star 101.3 on the app right now,
Hopefully you've set that preset.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
We appreciate you listening. Volleyball season's on.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Yay.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
Back in school. Yesterday was our first game. Okay.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
My daughter is an absolute baller. So proud of her.
She puts in so much work. She's been playing volleyball
year round. Club volleyball, beach volleyball, now school volleyball.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
That's awesome.

Speaker 1 (03:59):
But I have already been spoken to about being too
loud in the stands.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
Ah, I see.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
She literally came to me.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
She said, If you don't shush it up a little bit,
you'll be uninvited. Oh, no.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Don't lose your spot.

Speaker 1 (04:12):
And I don't know what to do.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
No, I know what you need to do.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
You do? Yes. Okay, perfect.

Speaker 6 (04:17):
You have to show your excitement with your body instead
of your vocal cords.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
You don't want to see me dancing around like a
TikTok video?

Speaker 6 (04:26):
Maybe do some face paint, wear her team colors.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
You want me to show up at the gym in
face paint? Yeah. Because that's... That's that's not as bad
as being loud.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
You're trolling me right now. You're absolutely trolling me right now.

Speaker 8 (04:42):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
I think it's a great idea.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
Stop lying. I serious.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
I need serious help because I'm at this crossroads where, yeah,
I'm loud.

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:51):
It's the things that I yell to that are getting
her because I said, I'm not the only one yelling.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
She goes, yeah. And then she imitated me. Come on,
get low, lock in.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
Okay, but like, what are you hooting and hollering about?

Speaker 3 (05:03):
That's literally what I'm yelling. This is me in the stands.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
All right, let's go. Ball's coming. Get low, get low,
lock in.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
What are you, the coach?

Speaker 4 (05:10):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Stop it.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
Well, sometimes there's a distinct lack of focus.

Speaker 1 (05:17):
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
I think you may be too critical.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
So I'm wondering, like, okay, if you, this is for
anybody listening right now. If you played sports in high school,
especially if you're a lady. Maybe your dad embarrassed you
in the moment, but aren't those good memories of dad
just always showing up?

Speaker 2 (05:36):
It's funny later. It's not funny right now. It's fun
for you.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
Middle school's tough. Oh, it's hilarious for me because you
know the next move is now I know what her
number is because she wouldn't tell me.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
Now I know what it is. Now I'm getting a
t-shirt made.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
You need to.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
And I offered my services to the rest of the dads.
I go, if anybody needs a custom shirt, We should
all wear our shirts with our girls' names on the back.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Oh, God. You're going to embarrass her so bad.

Speaker 1 (06:04):
Am I out of line? Honestly, it's an honest question.

Speaker 6 (06:08):
I mean, I think you might need to tone it
down a little bit. Because then she's going to go
to school and they're going to be like, yo, your
dad's crazy.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
Oh, they were telling her that on the bench. She's like,
what's up with your dad?

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Yeah, what's wrong with that dude?

Speaker 1 (06:20):
Plus my voice carries.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
Yeah. All right.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Should I just be me and then we'll laugh about
this later when she gets older or should I tone
it down?

Speaker 8 (06:29):
Hi, Marcus and Taylor.

Speaker 4 (06:32):
My name is Annie calling from Yakima, Washington. And Marcus,
I think it's great that your daughter feels comfortable coming
to you and talking to you about an issue she
has that shows what a great relationship you have. So
I think you need to respect her and just stop
the yelling.

Speaker 8 (06:50):
Just be there for her. appreciate that. You guys are great.
Have a great day.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
You're great too, Amy. By the way, Yakima, that's where
I got my dog.

Speaker 2 (07:00):
Oh, really?

Speaker 1 (07:00):
Years ago. Yakivegas, they call it. Yakivegas.

Speaker 3 (07:04):
Yes, she's setting boundaries. I need to respect her boundaries. However,
it's very difficult for me not to be loud.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
It's what I do.

Speaker 2 (07:12):
Oh, don't I know it.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
I'm very passionate. We got one more. Hang on.

Speaker 5 (07:17):
Hey, Marcus and Taylor, love listening to y'all. Marcus, keep
doing what you're doing. Those memories now that I'm 54
and have lost my dad are great. My best advice
is keep being you, keep doing this, keep cheering her on.
Maybe just not do it at the most quietest time
in the gym, but I can guarantee that these memories now,

(07:38):
reflecting back on them and remembering them, are absolutely the best.
Listening to y'all from Texas for about two years now.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
Love y'all.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Have a blessed day.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
Shelly May. Y'all this like six times.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (07:49):
You can listen on the iHeartRadio app, by the way, worldwide.
Set that preset. See? Memories.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
I think you just like it because it works with
what you're doing.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
I like the quiet time. Once everybody gets quiet, that's
when I hit them.

Speaker 6 (08:03):
See, not everybody likes that, Marcus. Not everyone wants to
hear your voice all the time.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
Now here's what's trending in the Bay Area and beyond.
Your number one trend is this heat wave. Heat advisory
kicks off this morning. Inland temperature is going to hit
about 105 today.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
That's insane.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
But 88 on the coast side, 95 in Taylor's hometown
of Los Gatos or down in the South Bay. There
is also a spare of the air alert today. Ariana Grande, surprise,
dropped Pedal, the complete live album.

Speaker 1 (08:35):
Did you see this?

Speaker 2 (08:36):
I did see this.

Speaker 9 (08:37):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (08:37):
Live versions of all 12 songs from the album. She
just wrapped her tour in London. She's back with her ex, Ricky.
She's going to take a break. We're going to see
her at the movies.

Speaker 7 (08:48):
Oh, my gosh.

Speaker 3 (08:48):
Amazing.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
The Fokker movie is dropping. What is that? End of November.

Speaker 3 (08:52):
So cool.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
What else?

Speaker 3 (08:55):
Let's go to sports really quick. The Niners obviously making history.
Against the Rams tomorrow in Melbourne, Australia. The first ever
regular season NFL game played in Australia. Kickoff is 535
tomorrow night.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
Can't wait. Do not call me. Let's see.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
The Giants wrap up their series with the Cardinals today
at Oracle Park. First pitch is 1245. You want to
catch us on the street? Taylor will be taking over
the riptide in the outer sunset tonight, hosting bingo starting
at seven.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Yes, I will.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
Just a few blocks from Ocean Beach. Come through, have
some dinner. And check out Bingo for free at 7
o'clock tonight.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
Trivia.

Speaker 1 (09:33):
Oh, I said trivia. My bad.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
This weekend, this Saturday, I will be hosting Palma Palooza
with the Pacifica Resource Center. If you're on the coast side,
if you're in Pacifica, you want to support.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Again, it's this Saturday.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
We're going to have live music, a great dinner, and
we'll raise some money for Pacifica Resource Center. And then Sunday,
we're doing it for the animals. This is Party Like
an Animal at the Ameswell Hotel. benefiting an organization out
of San Carlos called Pets. in Need so this is
going down in Mountain View on Sunday again just google
party like an animal maybe I'll see you Sunday for

(10:05):
sure Let's wrap strong with producer Taylor's daily poll.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
What do you have?

Speaker 6 (10:08):
It is National Salami Day today. So we're asking, what
is the best salami pairing? Is it cheese, crackers, wine,
or just straight up salami?

Speaker 1 (10:17):
Straight up salami.

Speaker 2 (10:18):
Really?

Speaker 6 (10:19):
No, I love it with some cheese or maybe like
a charcuterie board type vibe.

Speaker 1 (10:22):
Can we go cheese and wine? That's the question.

Speaker 4 (10:24):
Right.

Speaker 1 (10:25):
You can participate now. Star 1013 FM up on Instagram.
Give it a follow. It's in the stories. It's Marcus
in the morning. We're doing second date update. You know it.
You know what time it is. Let's bring Derek on immediately.
I want to get into this call. Derek, are you there?

Speaker 4 (10:39):
I'm here.

Speaker 7 (10:39):
Hey, man.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
So let's talk about your date. So the lady's name
is Colleen, and this is a South Bay situation. How
did the date go for you?

Speaker 8 (10:46):
It was fine.

Speaker 7 (10:47):
We had dinner down in San Jose. I thought we clicked.
I thought she was attractive. I thought... I was funny-ish.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
Were you attractive? That's my question.

Speaker 7 (10:58):
I think I'm okay. Attractive enough, I would say, for
a second date at least.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
You know, I had one of those epiphanies one time.
Right before I started dropping weight, I looked in the
mirror and said, Marcus, would you date you? And the
answer was no. But you find yourself attractive?

Speaker 7 (11:17):
I'm put together.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
Okay.

Speaker 7 (11:20):
I'll say that.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
Also a confidence check. You passed. Um, and she's ghosted though.

Speaker 3 (11:25):
Yeah, man.

Speaker 7 (11:27):
Uh, I've thought about it. I can't really think of anything.
There wasn't any awkward moments that I saw. I don't
get it.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
All right, let's call her. Go ahead and mute your phone.
I'm going to give her a shout. Okay.

Speaker 7 (11:37):
Okay. Hello.

Speaker 1 (11:46):
Hi, is this Colleen?

Speaker 8 (11:49):
This is Colleen.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
Perfect. Colleen, it's Marcus calling from Star 101.3.

Speaker 4 (11:55):
Hi. Hi.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
How are you?

Speaker 8 (11:56):
I'm doing okay. How are you doing?

Speaker 1 (11:58):
I'm doing great. Thanks for picking up.

Speaker 8 (12:01):
Yeah, of course.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
So, hey, we're doing Second Date Update. I don't suppose
you listen to the show, do you?

Speaker 8 (12:07):
I do, actually. I'm familiar with Second Date Update.

Speaker 1 (12:09):
Sweet. Do you want to be on it?

Speaker 4 (12:14):
Sure.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
Maybe I have a.

Speaker 8 (12:15):
Good story for you.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
Maybe you do.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
Which day are we talking about? Have you ghosted on
a date recently?

Speaker 8 (12:23):
I did ghost on a date recently.

Speaker 1 (12:25):
Okay.

Speaker 8 (12:26):
Is Derek on, I'm guessing?

Speaker 1 (12:27):
He is. Derek, you can go ahead and unmute.

Speaker 4 (12:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (12:31):
Hey.

Speaker 5 (12:32):
Hey.

Speaker 7 (12:32):
Hey, Colin. How you doing? Hey, Derek.

Speaker 5 (12:34):
I'm good.

Speaker 2 (12:35):
How are you?

Speaker 7 (12:36):
I'm well. I'll be a little more well if I
knew why you haven't gotten back to me.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
You and me both. Colin, how was the date? How
was Derek? Let's talk about him like he's not here
for a second.

Speaker 8 (12:49):
Okay. Okay. Well, I mean, I don't know. I guess
the date itself was actually really good.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
Okay.

Speaker 8 (12:56):
Derek, I thought he was confident. He was funny. He
was really easy to talk to. So it was good
for a bit.

Speaker 4 (13:05):
Okay.

Speaker 9 (13:06):
I think where he lost me is at one point he.

Speaker 8 (13:12):
Started talking about cars.

Speaker 4 (13:13):
Okay.

Speaker 8 (13:14):
And he mentioned his BMW.

Speaker 4 (13:15):
Okay.

Speaker 8 (13:16):
Which is fine.

Speaker 9 (13:17):
I don't really care about cars, whatever. But he said
he loves it. He just had it detailed, I think
he said. And he was complaining about how expensive the
maintenance is. And that's fine, whatever. We had a good time.
After dinner, we were walking through the parking lot. And
then Derek, he stopped next to this really nice BMW.

Speaker 8 (13:41):
And I assume it's his. And- He goes, nice, right?

Speaker 9 (13:49):
And then he starts telling me all about the wheels
and the interior.

Speaker 4 (13:54):
And then he.

Speaker 9 (13:57):
Just keeps walking. And I'm like, wait, I thought that
was yours. And he says, no, his car is three
rows over an older Honda. And I mean, I don't
care about the Honda. I don't care what car he drives.
I care that Derek spent the entire night talking about

(14:19):
his BMW. And then he finally tells me the BMW
actually belongs to a customer and he details cars as
a side business. So I'm like, then why did you
tell me it was your BMW? And he was like,
I never said that. I never said that. And I'm like,
you literally said, I love my BMW. And then he

(14:44):
was like, I love the BMW, not my BMW.

Speaker 8 (14:49):
I'm like, come on.

Speaker 1 (14:51):
Okay. Derek, what's happening here?

Speaker 7 (14:54):
She's making a huge deal out of nothing. I work
on the BMW all the time and I'm proud of
my work. We were talking about cars and she just
was a misunderstanding.

Speaker 8 (15:04):
Okay.

Speaker 9 (15:05):
You let me misunderstand you the entire dinner and then
out in the parking lot too.

Speaker 7 (15:10):
I didn't think that what I drive would matter that much.

Speaker 8 (15:13):
Oh, it doesn't matter. That's why lying about it is
so stupid.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
I did not lie.

Speaker 7 (15:19):
I didn't lie about it. You misunderstood what I was
talking about. Oh, wait, wait, wait.

Speaker 8 (15:23):
Okay.

Speaker 9 (15:24):
Also at dinner, do you remember you showed me a
picture of the BMW on your phone?

Speaker 8 (15:29):
You literally showed me a picture and you said, that's
my baby.

Speaker 3 (15:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (15:33):
People call the cars they're working on their baby all
the time.

Speaker 9 (15:36):
No, no, they really, really don't.

Speaker 8 (15:39):
That's weird.

Speaker 7 (15:40):
They do. Do you work on cars? You work around
people that work on cars? Obviously not. And you know,
she seemed pretty impressed when she thought the BMW was mine.
I wasn't trying to hide it. So I walked to
my actual car when she became unimpressed by my actual car.
I think this says a lot more about her than
it does about me trying to fool anybody. Listen, did
I pretend like, did I wait for you to leave

(16:01):
and pretend like I was going to get in the car? No,
I walked to my car. And so basically now that
you know, I drive a Honda, you're not interested.

Speaker 8 (16:07):
No, now that I know you drive a Honda, I
don't care.

Speaker 9 (16:11):
Now that I know you're a liar, I'm not interested.

Speaker 1 (16:14):
All right.

Speaker 7 (16:15):
Um, I'm not buying it.

Speaker 1 (16:17):
All right. You guys hang on.

Speaker 3 (16:18):
I'm calling that one, but also was she being a
little too particular there?

Speaker 8 (16:24):
I'm curious.

Speaker 1 (16:25):
All right. Second date update. You know, you know, what's
back today, right? Oh gosh.

Speaker 3 (16:31):
Listen, we're not a sports show, but anybody else doing
fantasy football and like your entire office has no idea
what they're doing. It was an absolute comedy of errors
here at I heard San Francisco yesterday. Um, Including for me,
and I'm a seasoned veteran, but everything that went wrong
could have gone wrong up until and including me accidentally

(16:52):
drafting a player that just got arrested.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
Oh, okay.

Speaker 1 (16:55):
Who may not actually play this season.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
Someone didn't do their research.

Speaker 1 (16:58):
With my second pick.

Speaker 7 (16:59):
There you go.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
Well, it was weird how it went down.

Speaker 3 (17:02):
First of all, have you ever had one of those
days at the office where everything just goes wrong? I
walk in yesterday morning, drafts at 1245. I realize I
don't have a laptop.

Speaker 4 (17:12):
Oof.

Speaker 3 (17:13):
I have three laptops at home, didn't bring any of them.
You have to kind of have a laptop. You could
use your phone, but then how am I supposed to
do my research? Because if I'm drafting with my phone,
then I've got my research on my laptop. But then
I thought, oh, there are a bunch of workstations out
in the sales area.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
Wrong.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
I go out there and I'm like, okay, so how
do you turn on these computers? They're like, no, you
have to bring in your laptop and plug it in.
I'm like, well, I don't have my laptop. And then
I was like, okay, well. So, I go borrow a
laptop from the engineering department. I go back out there.
Now we've got 24 minutes to go. I've done zero research.

(17:50):
And now I have to fire up this brand new laptop. Well,
you know how that goes. The laptop's like, oh, welcome.
Do you want to set a pin? Oh, do you
want to set eye recognition? Oh, what about a thumbprint?
Now we've got 12 minutes to go until draft starts.
I get it all squared away. I'm all good to go.
We start the draft. I've got the number one pick.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
I'm owning it.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
What I don't realize is by the time my second
pick comes around, all of a sudden now it goes backwards.
So I've got two picks in a row and I
don't realize it and there's no warning. And then somebody
yells out, Marcus, you got 10 seconds.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
Like what? So I just hit a button.

Speaker 3 (18:24):
I ended up drafting somebody who just got arrested, who's
on the commissioner's exempt list, who may or may not play.

Speaker 1 (18:31):
In the next four months.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
You sound very unprepared. Haven't you known about this for
like a week?

Speaker 1 (18:37):
Yeah, but I thought I would just cruise in. And just,
you know, kick everybody's butt.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
And then go home. No, I'm blaming you for this one.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
You know what, though? At the end of the day,
and this is how it always happens, my draft got
rated A +.

Speaker 3 (18:52):
By who?

Speaker 4 (18:52):
You?

Speaker 1 (18:52):
Best draft in the entire league. Because everybody else.

Speaker 2 (18:56):
Who told you that?

Speaker 1 (18:57):
The computer.

Speaker 3 (18:58):
Everybody else was.

Speaker 1 (18:59):
Half the room was up wandering around on auto draft.
I see. Two guys logged into the wrong draft. It
was an absolute disaster.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
Yeah, it kind of sounds like it.

Speaker 1 (19:07):
But also... And we just wrap strong Niners tomorrow night
in Australia.

Speaker 3 (19:13):
The most interesting thing about that game to me is
we're going to see the difference. All the sleep doctors
listening right now are acutely aware of this game because
the Niners flew in a week ago and got acclimated
to Australian time. Meanwhile, the Rams, I think, are flying
in today after a 17 hour flight or however long
it is.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
They're going to try to play football tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (19:33):
Oh, I can't wait. I actually might watch that one.

Speaker 1 (19:35):
We're going to see how sleep deprivation affects elite athletes.

Speaker 8 (19:37):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (19:38):
That's interesting to me. It's time for good news, Bay Area.
This one's going to put a smile on your face.

Speaker 3 (19:45):
I do love a good news story about babies. This
is a baby named Miracle. who became Australia's most premature
newborn to survive ever. She was born at 21 weeks,
and that is wild to me. As a preemie myself,
I'm typically drawn to these stories. I was six weeks
early personally, but that pales in comparison to being born

(20:06):
at 21 weeks.

Speaker 1 (20:08):
Again, her name is Miracle.

Speaker 3 (20:10):
She was so tiny and fragile. Obviously, her parents initially
not able to hold her. Her mom didn't even know
she was pregnant until five days before giving birth. And scientifically,
what they realized was the potential was that her mom,
Anna Rose, and her husband. So mom had a miscarriage,
but she was carrying twins. And the miscarriage only affected

(20:32):
one of the babies. And so she went in to
get checked up and the doctor said, not only are
you pregnant, but the baby could be delivered any day.
And she's like, that's impossible. We're 21 weeks in. But
she got to go home today, which I think is
pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
So her name is Miracle Born at 21 weeks.

Speaker 3 (20:49):
And anybody who, if you're a preemie or you've had
one or just honestly pregnancy in general, this is all
just a huge sigh of relief. So that's my good
news today. It's Marcus in the morning. It's time to
play the Bay's favorite trivia game. This is called What
You Know About That. Brought to you by Cameron's Pub
in Half Moon Bay. Tremendous pub. They have the best wings.
I love the prime dip. Maybe I'll see you there
this weekend. Say good morning to our contestants.

Speaker 1 (21:10):
Susan is in Castro Valley. Good morning, Susan.

Speaker 7 (21:13):
Good morning, Marcus and Taylor.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
What is happening this morning?

Speaker 7 (21:17):
Well, I'm driving a little to drop off my son, Alex.

Speaker 1 (21:20):
Morning, Alex. Welcome to the show, you guys. Let's take
it out to Hatton Bay. Say good morning to Andrea.
Good morning.

Speaker 9 (21:26):
Good morning, Taylor and Marcus.

Speaker 1 (21:29):
You got that wrong.

Speaker 2 (21:30):
No, I love the way that you said it. There's
nothing wrong with it.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
Now, Andrea, you have to tell everybody the first thing
you said to Taylor when she picked up the phone.
I asked if I could still play because I'm a
friend of yours. That's right. I know Andrea personally.

Speaker 5 (21:43):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
Our daughters play volleyball together. I love it. I think
that's adorable. Yes, Andrea, we just can't be related or
live in the same household. I think we're safe.

Speaker 8 (21:50):
Yay.

Speaker 1 (21:52):
Welcome to the show. How excited are you to play live?
This is your first time, isn't it?

Speaker 7 (21:56):
Woo-hoo, yes.

Speaker 1 (21:57):
First time. So cool. Let's say hi to the kids
really quick.

Speaker 7 (21:59):
Go ahead. Just dropping off Willie and Lydia.

Speaker 8 (22:01):
Cool.

Speaker 1 (22:02):
Love it.

Speaker 3 (22:02):
Well, welcome to the show. The game is simple. It's
five trivia questions. You got 50 seconds to answer them.
Get as many right as you can. Yell out pass
if you don't know an answer. We'll come back to
it if there's time, okay?

Speaker 7 (22:12):
Got it.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
All right.

Speaker 3 (22:13):
So Andrea and the kids go on hold in Half
Moon Bay. And we start with Susan in Castro Valley.

Speaker 6 (22:18):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (22:20):
Question number one.

Speaker 3 (22:21):

what increasingly common practice?

Speaker 7 (22:29):

Speaker 8 (22:37):
He's going to fall off the walls.

Speaker 1 (22:40):

Speaker 3 (22:50):

I'll pass on that.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
What is the name of the singing group that Camila

Speaker 1 (23:17):

We are out of time. Hang on the line for
me real quick.

Speaker 3 (23:24):

Speaker 3 (24:19):
Andrea had an answer for everything. Susan comes back in
Castro Valley. We'll see how she did against Andrea in
Half Moon Bay.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
Question number one.

Speaker 3 (24:26):
Downward dog, sun salutation, and plank are all poses in
what increasingly common practice?

Speaker 2 (24:31):
Both of you knew that that was yoga.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
Everybody's on the board. Great job. Question two.

Speaker 3 (24:36):
In the classic nursery rhyme, what is Humpty Dumpty traditionally
depicted as?

Speaker 2 (24:40):

said an egg. The correct answer is an egg.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
Point goes to Andrea. Next question. What is the study
of weather called?

Speaker 2 (24:50):
Andrea knew that that was meteorology.

Speaker 4 (24:52):
Sweet.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
Next question.

Speaker 3 (24:54):
