last two picks. We're gonna break. Minroe Freeling, the offensive
tackle from Georgia, goes to Carolina nineteen and number twenty.
The Philadelphia Eagles trade up and they take McKay lemon
because they're going to make a wide receiver trade at
some point here soon. I'll go to the athletic in
Mike Rabil. I think a lot of things happened in there.
First of all, you've got at twenty one, You've got

Pittsburgh on the click right now, right that needed a
slot receiver, right they need somebody of a different style
than DK Metcalf. At twenty two. You have the Chargers.

Now they have Lad McConkie, so stylistically maybe, but they

from twenty three to twenty. Danzel Boston disappointed in this.

Eagles were just a year ago won the Super Bowl
and they were the class of the NFC by a mile.
Destroyed the Chiefs in the Super Bowl. So I personally
guys and Rob Rings with us as well. I you know,
I'm always going to keep an eye on the Eagles
because there's still a threat.

Sun Devils is a late comer in the game of football,
having first picked up the game in twenty twenty one.
The Nigerian native quickly developed a reputation as a fast riser,

allowing zero sex in his senior year, he'll be a
tantalizing prospect for NFL teams as he continues to refine
his talent.

All right, there we go, office tackle from Arizona State
going to the Steelers in the AFC. I'm not gonna
worry about that too much. So I want to get
everyone's thoughts hearing and get the synopsis. First of all, Arizona,
let's talk about our other neighbor in the north. In
the AFC West, Jeremiah Love goes number three overall, the
Rams took Ty Simpson at thirteen, and the Roberrang I'll
bring you in here real quick. In the world of stretches,

reaches and surprises, is that the one so far that
jumps out in the first round.
Speaker 7 (07:31):
I think it's absolutely the storyline of the twenty twenty
six draft so far, you know. And it's not that
necessarily think it's a reach. I think that he has
a good fit in Sean mcvay's offense. I wrote an
article for Fox Sports and said that my two favorite
fits for Ty Simpson were the Arizona Cardinals and the
Los Angeles Rams. So I'm not stunned that he is
a member of the Los Angeles Rams. I am surprised
(07:52):
he went number thirteen overall. I mean, that's just we
talked in when the selection happened that this is kind
of a succession plan behind Matthew Stafford. But that from
a Seahawk perspective, I think that would have been more
worrisome have been had the Rams ticking a player like
Rubin Bain. You pair Ruben Bain with Brayden Fisk and
Jared Verst, and I think that the Rams defensive line

is going to be something that's really formidable.

Now.

Obviously there's a succession plan here. Obviously the quarterback is
the most important position in all of sports. But at
the same time, I thought that the Rams had an
opportunity here to you know, play like they want to,
you know, be at the Super Bowl. An upcoming in
this upcoming season is going to be played at SOFI Stadium,
and I thought they had a chance to kind of,
you know, attack now rather than plan for the future.

Well, think of Matthew Stafford. What's he saying right now.
Whiskey tango foxtrot is what he's saying. Like, seriously, thirty
eight thirty nine, we almost had the Seahawks. We almost
had them, like give me somebody, as Rob said, you know.

or the forty nine ers.

Yeah, like how about the tight end from Vanderbilt? I mean,
I mean, you know, you know, like from Oregon, right available.

have done a lot of things to make your team
better today. Yes, and and like Rob and I were
joking you over there when you guys Ron, like, we
don't have the camera in the Seahawks draft room, and
every time it pick's made, they show the NFL, they
show guys all high five and they got the guy
they want, all right, Yeah, I would have loved to

have had a camera on Mike McDonald and John Schneider
when Ty Simpson was taking thirty Yeah yeah right, because
that's the high five, like because Watson, like you put
them with Verse and Fisk.

Uh oh yeah yeah and that relentlessness yeah no, no,
no doubt. Thanks yeah, and all the other players that
are are capable of playing. Now, how about the how
about the safety from Oregon? I mean we you know,
we can get we can go on and on, you know.

me get your thoughts, because the Chargers pick is coming in.

They need an outside receiver. Yes, this was definitely a chance,
and it would be obviously great. Anybody would love to
go play in LA and play with Justin Herbert. You've
bet you got lad McConkey on the inside. Here's the outside.
Here's a commissioner.

We're the twenty second pick in the twenty twenty sixth
NFL Draft. The Los Angeles Chargers select a King Mesador
linebacker Miami.
Speaker 6 (10:30):
Who a keen Mezsador atch Miami six foot three, two
hundred and fifty nine pounds, and they're.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
Swarming right on Q. They suck him for a fourth time.
Messador and fade met at the quarterback and there's pach tailor.
Speaker 6 (10:49):
Mesador had a career year leading Miami with seventeen and
a half tackles for loss and twelve and a half
sacks that earned him first team All ACC honors in
his final season. He's considered one of the most technically
refined rushers in his class. With his explosiveness and elite
hand usage, He's able to rush from both the edge
and the interior as a sixth year senior. Some maybe

his age and pass foot injuries that capt him out
most of twenty twenty three as risk.
Speaker 3 (11:16):
So keem Mesidor goes to the Chargers and helps their
pass rush along the way. We joked about it, Rob
and I are talking. I mean, if in the Seahawks
again at thirty two, nothing's happened, so that was pick
number twenty two or ten away. If Messidor was there
at thirty two, is that a guy?
Speaker 4 (11:31):
And you'd be tempted to take twenty point now, yeah,
twenty five years old. Those foot injuries, you know, you know,
I think that there's probably the lowest developmental potential for him.
You know, I think kind of what you see is
what you get with him. Particularly considered that he was
coached by Jason Taylor at Miami, So you know that
(11:52):
Jason Taylor might be the premier defensive end coach on
planet Earth. He just happens to want to coach college
kids down at Miami with Mario Christobaul. So so I
think there's a lot of question. Okay, how much better
is he going to get? You gotta like what you
see on the tape, and of course you do. But
but I'm a little surprised that, you know, they didn't
(12:13):
go offensive line or or wide receiver there.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
All right, let's again Seattle at thirty two. John Schneider
was very blunt on Monday, saying, everyone, listen, no secret
what we want to do. We want to trade out.
Who knows if they're gonna be able to do that.
We were thinking maybe a tie Simpson would be available,
and Rob, does that change things a little bit? Do
you think for Schneider if a tie because the next
quarterback is a Carson Baback. Okay, so do you think
somebody wants to jump up and get that fifth year
(12:40):
potential option? That's why you do it.
Speaker 7 (12:42):
Yeah, exactly. I think that you do it for quarterbacks,
but you do it for other positions as well. I
think there's a possibility that some other team might be
willing to move up for you know, an head dresser
or cornerback or receiver, you know, some of the positions. Frankly,
that then the Seahawks might be interested in keeping the
pick and making that selection. So to answer your questioning,
I do think that the ty Simpson going much earlier
(13:05):
in this draft probably hurts Seattle's chances of trading out.
But if you're desperate enough to trade out, then then
you still can make a move. I just think that,
you know, if you do trade out, you don't want
to trade down too far because I think that this draft,
as we talked about, it has a lot of quality starters.
It doesn't have many superstars, and I think if you
trade down too far, then you're gonna even lose that
(13:26):
the starter talent.
Speaker 3 (13:27):
All right, forty nine twenty seven, so or a few
picks away from them. He let me go back for
people just joining us right now. Jeremiah Love goes number
three overall, the running back out of Notre Dame. He
goes to Arizona. Again, you'll have to deal with him
in this division. And they still have quarterback issues and
questions there at Arizona, but they get a stud in
Jeremiah Love. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (13:42):
I think that he's a once every three, four to
five year running back. I think he checks all the
boxes that you want checked. He has the explosiveness, he
has the vision. I think he has the lateral quickness,
the ability to sidestep, elite character in the locker room,
and competitiveness and and football matters component to him catches
(14:03):
the ball. He was the Dope Walker Award winner, so
he's got he's got a route tree. I I just
don't see a player with any significant flaws in this respect.
He reminds me of Bejon Robinson. Uh, you know, just
an ability. Now he probably doesn't have the quite the
(14:23):
lateral shiftiness of Jon Robinson, but I think he might
have more explosion and vertical just you know, you know
that that he's got that extra you know, six seventh gear.
So uh yeah, I love the player. If I'm a
Cardinal fan, I'm delighted. I think they've got a marketing issue.
Uh you know, it's a four sport town or no, No,
(14:45):
I don't have hockey.
Speaker 3 (14:46):
Anymore, do be.
Speaker 4 (14:47):
But you know, they got a lot of things going
on there with a state or whatever, and so they
kind of get lost in the washed. I think they
need to generate some enthusiasm. Not that you make a
pick for that, but that's going to be a side
component to it.
Speaker 3 (14:59):
You need create excitement there. There's no doubt I mean
there's a business element to it. I mean I've covered
in zillion games down there, and it never has felt
like a home game. That the Cardinals. No, it's very
much like the Chargers play, uh to a certain extent,
the Rams. Although this getting a little bit better, but
the but the Chargers and the Cardinals don't play a
lot of home games. They put a lot a lot
of neutral site games. So yeah, you want to create
some excitement, all right, let me, is there another surprise
for you so far in the first round besides the
(15:21):
ty Simpson. Well, I'm so stunned by that now, you know.
Speaker 4 (15:27):
I I love that that that Jordan Tyson uh went
to number eight because I think the tape absolutely supports that. Okay,
I think it's a it's interesting that uh that.
Speaker 3 (15:40):
You know, the he's a wide receiver that's been hurt
from Arizona State. He went to he went to the Saints. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (15:45):
Yeah, he was my favorite player coming in the draft
just in terms of watching the tape. Yeah, and uh
and and the body control from him, so so I thought,
you know, there's some question about the medical sliding down.
He even had a conversation with with John Schneider about
him last night. And you know, not in any great detail,
but but you know, the medicals were a legit concern
(16:08):
and uh and and so so that that's the one.
Maybe this surprised me in a good way. All Right,
the Cowboys are on the clock. Let's I think head

The Dallas Cowboys select Malakai Lawrence deem the Band University
of Central Florida.

All Right, Malachi Lawrence the Edge from University of Central Florida,
goes rob. We talked about him, I think just last week,
right we did.
Speaker 7 (16:43):
I mean he's one of the most explosive pass rushers
in this draft class, you know, I mean he is.
His ability to get upfield is you know, uh right
there with like the rbl Reese and uh uh you know,
in the.
Speaker 8 (16:55):
David Baileys of this class. He just doesn't have their bend.
Speaker 7 (16:58):
You know, some guys are are just kind of high
cut and they aren't able to dip their shoulders and
turn the corner. Really well, I've used the comparison to
some guys. It's like almost like they're on a street bike,
the way that they can kind of race around the corner.
I just don't see that with Malchaile Lawrence. But in
terms of his upfield burst, his physicality at the point
(17:21):
of attack, he will play the run. I think that
this is an interesting player for the Cowboys considering the
fact that they've made some big moves. Of course, they
they made the trade, you know, earlier for the Quinn Williams,
the big defensive tackle. They made the trade for Rashaun
Gary from the Green Bay Packers. They've got some guys
up front now that I think are going to be
able to create some pressure. And of course they just
(17:43):
made the selection earlier of Caleb down It's my favorite
player in this class, and so I do think that
they're going to be able to get.
Speaker 8 (17:47):
Pressure on quarterbacks.
Speaker 7 (17:49):
We got some young quarterbacks in the NFC East and
that potentially put the ball up in the air to
improve a pass defense that was atrociously.
Speaker 3 (17:58):
You're you kind of keep an eye on the teams
the NFC, certainly, especially team like Dallas. It always seems
to be a threat, even if they don't make the
playoff last year. By the way, Browns, Bears, Bills, and
forty nine Ers. Of the next four picks, Bears a
Colors a playoff team last year, Bill's a playoff team.
In the forty nine ers, we know what kind of
problems they pose for everybody as well.
Speaker 4 (18:13):
Going yeah, you know, one of the questions about Malachai Lawrence, Okay,
you know he's got the four or five two, forty
ninety fifth percentile forty inch verts. That just speaks to
his explosive ninety six percentile. The question, of course at UCF,
you know you're you're a drop down, you're not a
power for school.

But think about the Cowboys to market twelve now rights,
that's be honest. Yeah, yeah, are the Big twelve now
fact check that check?

Yeah?

They I don't know the Big twelve is they've watered them.
So they got Cincinnati, they got b Yu. I mean,
they've got to make an.

SEC But my point was, DeMarcus Lawrence went to Boise State,
so so you know, one of their premier players. Uh
so he's there. They're in the twelve. Millian gets your
head in the game.

teams in it and tumbles as many as the Big Ten.
I know I fought the same thing. I thought the
same thing. Yeah, I don't. I mean, is it really
a powerful conference when you got U. C. F.

Houston's in there too, right, Like, there's been a lot
of schools that were formerly not power that are now right.

versatile player. The junior is an early entry to the

all purpose player. The twenty one year old is great
in tight spaces. It has some of the quickest feet
in the draft. He may not have top Ed's speak,
but still return two punts for scores for the agg

He's in twenty twenty five, it will be used as
a Swiss army knife in the NFFL.

sound like a bowl game. My buddy Matt Chas now

On, Well, I think this level of player, you got
guys like Terrell Austin and la Viscus Sinult, and you know,
you know these guys that you you come in and say,
let's throw them a bubble screen and they'll make a
bunch of guys miss and what have you. Oftentimes that
it looks better in your on your mind's eye than

actually plays out. And you know, the smallest receiver you
know is his ten percent drop rate is alarming. So
I think you know all of his highlights are on
passes that are throwing less than five yards some Lions scrimmage,
So so you know, you know Ronde all Moore that
type of player. Yeah, yeah, those kinds. Yeah, other of

the Browns in the AC We don't have to worry
about them too much.

So we move on. Rob give me, give me some guys,
and I want to use thoughts on these thirty two
who might be tempting.

Well, I think that you're still looking for some of
these cornerbacks.

You know, of course, I've talked so much before about
Jenerian Love, the running back from the Notre Dame. We
all know that that he is a player that I
think is a fit. We've talked about him a lot.
But I do want to talk about some of these cornerbacks, right, yeah,
Jenem Price, Yeah, I want to talk about some of
these quarterbacks that cornerbacks excuse me, that would make an
awful lot of sense. Now is about where I would

expect the Chris Johnson's of the world from San Diego State,
who we've talked about, Brendon Cesa from South Carolina, trade
On Stokes's got an awful lot of Tennessee colton hood
from Tennessee.

And then the other corner whose name is escaped escaped

all these corners here, then I would make the argument
that maybe you should go with the running back just
because I do feel like it drops off that what's
been my point about Jadarion Price. But again, I'm not
going to criticize any selection of a cornerback that comes

And relatively lean can bite on play action. But if
you need a dude that's just gonna be back there
playing center field that can go up and not and
make a play on seam routes, can cover grounds side

line to red line. If the quarterback's doing his job,
he ain't got no safety's going get into the red line.
But you can disrupt scenes all over from different hash marks,
formations and what have you. So this guy is a
premier playmaker in the in the center hole rop.

Like I mean, I am as high on Caleb Downs
as as probably as anybody.

conversation with Caleb Downs. I just think that he is
among the cleanest players in this draft class. He is instinctive.

I mean, he came in people said, oh he's you know,

he's a smart guy. He's not an athlete, and then
he runs in the four threes. You know, I mean
I watched it. I went to the University of Oregon
Pro day, and he knew that he didn't have to
do a damn thing just because of what he had
shown in Indianapolis.

And his tape speaks for itself.

Not only was the star this past year for Oregon,
of course, a lot of Pacific Northwest fans know what
he did for Oregon, but previously at Perdue, I mean
he led the Big Ten in interceptions as a true freshman.
I mean this guy is a stud. I mean, shag
Bears got themselves the steel here at number twenty five overall.
I think that again, he should have been taken off
the board ten picks earlier.

Guy with the big ten interceptions of Purdue with a
team that probably no one had to throw against us. Yeah, yeah,
right right, there's just like there were It's not like
people were airing it out because they hadn't have come
from behind against that team. So that's that's probably good.
I'd be more impressed, I used to I used to
think I'd be more impressed with a mister basketball from
Indiana as opposed to mister football that might a chieven
just happen here. I think all of our impressions about Indiana.

It changed a lot. It looks like we've got a
trade that took place. The Texans were on the clock,
or actually the Texans are on the clock. They traded
up and so we'll get that pick in just a
couple of seconds. They're gonna pick at twenty six. And
then and it looks like the oh, our friends of
forty nine ers have also traded down. They are no
longer on the twenty seventh pick. The Dolphins are now

twenty seven. Forty nine Ers moved down to number thirty.
So now we have a team that has moved down.
Hugh and Rob and the you know, at the lower
half of the draft, lower third of the draft, the
forty nine ers were able to move down a couple
of spots. I'm not sure what the result is in
terms of the trade. We'll try to get that. Maybe
Jackson or just can find that for us. But the
forty nine ers will probably accumulated more picks. They came in,
by the way, with just six. The forty niners did

fix six draft picks, and four of those were in
the fourth round, so they're probably trying to find some
more depth along the way. I would assume draft wise
as well, and Seattle stield sits there at number thirty two.
So the forty nine ers will pick at thirty they'll
pick two spots before Seattle. And again we've got a
couple of teams on the clock right now, the Texans
on the clock, and they're gonna we'll get their pick
here in just a couple of seconds as well. I

do want to if we have time before the pick
is made with let's go back to j Darion to
the running back from from the from the Notre Dame
and the second running back.

Yep, I really like Jujeium Price. Again, I understand the
hesitancy that some have with Jadarian Price in that if
all you do is look at the box scores. I mean,
the guy never had more than fifteen touches in any
game his entire college career. And yet I would say
that if you watch the tape that you will see

very instinctive plays. You will uh the questions about if
he is a good pass catcher. You know, some of
that is just because Notre Dame featured a guy in
Jeremiah Love who that was like his secret sauce.

I mean, he's unbelievable in that way.

But Notre Dame clearly trusted Jeneri Price Roger Gadell real Quick.

Absolutely, the Texans upgrade their offensive line. Wrap up your
thoughts on Price, and I wanted to have you jump
in on Price, the running back from Notre Dame.

Sure, So again, if you're gonna question Jeneri on Price
as a receiver, and again statistically it's sggest that he
was not very good in that area, then why was
he the Irish's kick returner. I mean, you obviously have
to trust somebody's hands if they are going to be
a kick returner. Speaking of kick returns, and he had
three returns for touchdowns over his college career. He did
(32:49):
have some fumbles and that is my concern with him.
It's my concern with Mike Washington junior as well. But
at the same time, I just see a guy, like
we've talked before in about the fact it seems like
Seattle prioritizes players who have stuck with their college program.
This guy could have gone and it took an nil
transfer somewhere, and instead he chose to stick with Notre Dame.
(33:11):
I've just been very impressed by who he is as
a human being in my kind of digging into his
character and then certainly his tape, I think it's very
much worthy of the top forty ish kind of conversation.
And to me, the difference between number forty and number
thirty two overall in this draft is completely negligible.
Speaker 3 (33:31):
Price.
Speaker 4 (33:32):
Well, first thing is two hundred three pounds at the combine,
and so he only had a little over eight touches
per game because he's he's sharing the load with Jeremiah Love.
In fact, he was Robin and Love was Batman, right,
So there's some concerns when you combine his relatively few
(33:52):
touches with the two hundred and three pounds. Now, there's
durability concerns that come in. As for the hands as
a punt, Rob's right, in my opinion, you're not gonna
put a guy back there that if you don't trust
his hands, you're gonna trust his judgment. That that is
different in terms of okay, you're running tech option routes
(34:14):
out of the backfielder or having a feel for the
concepts on certain routes by you know how to set
up zone versus man or what have you, so, so
it doesn't necessarily speak to his feel in the passing game.
Speaker 3 (34:29):
For me, when I evaluate a running back.
Speaker 4 (34:31):
The first you know, I'm not gonna say obviously, blitz
pick up is essential. Let me repeat essential. But if
a guy has the want to, you can genuinely teach
him the technique.

Now.
Speaker 4 (34:45):
Now, it may be he's not going to be If
you have explosion through your hips, you're going to be better.
But if he hasn't want to, you can least get
him to be playable. The most important thing to me
is watch the end zone copy and see his vision,
his celeration, his lateral quickness, and get a feel. You
got to watch a running back for a long time

to get a sense of is he getting yards that
are not blocked? Because you could have tell me the
greatest running back of your lifetime, Barry Sanders at age
twenty seven. I could show you a tape where Barry
Sanders had ten straight runs and didn't get more in
the yard, Like, if it's not blocked, I don't care
who you are, you ain't getting the yards right. And
then furthermore, you know I could show you time to
(35:29):
where George Alani's gonna get him a minimum of twelve
yards on that freaking blocking right, And now maybe Barry
Sanders would have housed it.
Speaker 3 (35:37):
But any running back is getting twelve yards. So to me,
in looking at Price.
Speaker 4 (35:42):
I think that his lateral quickness is better than Mike
Washington's at at Arkansas, and I think you could say
maybe his vision's better. There is some advanced metrics, if
you're into that kind of thing, that say he has
a very disappointing yards over expected when they look at
GPS like where the defenders are and what have you,
(36:03):
and it would it would suggest he was a beneficiary
of a really good Notre Dame offensive line.
Speaker 3 (36:11):
So I would just say, you know, if you have
a poor offensive line, I.
Speaker 4 (36:16):
Think Price has got a better chance of getting a
three yard gain than Washington. Washington might be zero one,
but if you the line blocks for a five yard game,
Washington can turn a five yard gain into a twenty
five yard game.
Speaker 3 (36:30):
A lot more than Price. Camp. All right, we'll take

I think that there's a little bit of disappointment just down.

Yeah. I mean, I just think that that was I'm
not saying that they would have taken him, I don't know,
but he was. Here was a guy that at San
Diego State, I mean, just a beautiful transition in his movements.
He was a guy that you know, had a sixteen
point one passer rating allowed. That's best in the class. Yeah,

you had two pick sixes. He uh, he plays the
ball like a receiver.

I think there's a fluidity to him. He has good
not great size, got a narrow frame. But I think
that his his uh, his body movements rob you know,
and and his ability to play the ball. We're you know,
in his durability, his production, we're all you know, you know,
only question you'd have is him playing in the in

the Mountain West Conference, right, but you know Dern Bland
Lugarious Snead. I mean, there's there's there's corners from that conference,
just like all positions from that conference.

And and he won't be a Seahawk.

And you know this is we talked before about the
fact that I am a proud scout for the BC Lions,
and among my responsibilities is the Mountain West Conference or
whatever the shambles of college football now you know.

But you know, if you are going to play at
a so called lower level of football, then you know,
then dominated and that's exactly what this guy did. He
was the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year. He
had a couple of interceptions this season, two of them.
Excuse me, I think he had four interceptions this season,
two of them in which he took back to the
house for touchdowns. He is just as you said, Hugh,
you know, he is just so smooth in coverage. I mean,

he's a smooth athlete, and then he's also a very
instinctive player.

I did not go to Mobile, Alabama this year for
the Senior Bowl, which kind of broke my heart. Twenty
the last twenty four years I've gone there. But from
what I hear, Chris Johnson was good, not elite there,
and that's the only reason I think that he was
available at this point in the draft, all the talk
about him going to Seattle, I just thought that it
was unlikely that he would get all the way down
to number thirty two because I just thought the tape

was just too good. When he ran a four to
four to zero at the combine, I just thought, well, Cion,
are you know but a really good player that I
think is.

Lomo was Utah's starting left tackle for the last two seasons.

In twenty twenty five, Lomu was named first team All
Big twelve and did not allow us sack in three
hundred and fifty seven pass blocking opportunities. According to Pro
Football Focus, Lomu's pass blocking is considered ahead of his
run blocking at this stage, especially when it comes to
the power run game, but it still has plenty of
room for improvement.

tantalizing prospect for NFL teams as he continues to refine
his talent.

All right, there we go, office tackle from Arizona State
going to the Steelers in the AFC. I'm not gonna
worry about that too much. So I want to get
everyone's thoughts hearing and get the synopsis. First of all, Arizona,
let's talk about our other neighbor in the north. In
the AFC West, Jeremiah Love goes number three overall, the
Rams took Ty Simpson at thirteen, and the Roberrang I'll
bring you in here real quick. In the world of stretches,

reaches and surprises, is that the one so far that
jumps out in the first round.
Speaker 7 (07:31):
I think it's absolutely the storyline of the twenty twenty
six draft so far, you know. And it's not that
necessarily think it's a reach. I think that he has
a good fit in Sean mcvay's offense. I wrote an
article for Fox Sports and said that my two favorite
fits for Ty Simpson were the Arizona Cardinals and the
Los Angeles Rams. So I'm not stunned that he is
a member of the Los Angeles Rams. I am surprised
(07:52):
he went number thirteen overall. I mean, that's just we
talked in when the selection happened that this is kind
of a succession plan behind Matthew Stafford. But that from
a Seahawk perspective, I think that would have been more
worrisome have been had the Rams ticking a player like
Rubin Bain. You pair Ruben Bain with Brayden Fisk and
Jared Verst, and I think that the Rams defensive line
(08:13):
is going to be something that's really formidable.

Now.

Obviously there's a succession plan here. Obviously the quarterback is
the most important position in all of sports. But at
the same time, I thought that the Rams had an
opportunity here to you know, play like they want to,
you know, be at the Super Bowl. An upcoming in
this upcoming season is going to be played at SOFI Stadium,
and I thought they had a chance to kind of,
you know, attack now rather than plan for the future.

Well, think of Matthew Stafford. What's he saying right now.

eight thirty nine, we almost had the Seahawks. We almost

have had a camera on Mike McDonald and John Schneider
when Ty Simpson was taking thirty Yeah yeah right, because
that's the high five, like because Watson, like you put
them with Verse and Fisk.

no doubt. Thanks yeah, and all the other players that
are are capable of playing. Now, how about the how

NFL Draft. The Los Angeles Chargers select a King Mesador
linebacker Miami.

Who a keen Mezsador atch Miami six foot three, two
hundred and fifty nine pounds, and they're.

Swarming right on Q. They suck him for a fourth time.
Messador and fade met at the quarterback and there's pach tailor.

Mesador had a career year leading Miami with seventeen and
a half tackles for loss and twelve and a half
sacks that earned him first team All ACC honors in
his final season. He's considered one of the most technically
refined rushers in his class. With his explosiveness and elite
hand usage, He's able to rush from both the edge
and the interior as a sixth year senior. Some maybe

his age and pass foot injuries that capt him out
most of twenty twenty three as risk.

So keem Mesidor goes to the Chargers and helps their
pass rush along the way. We joked about it, Rob
and I are talking. I mean, if in the Seahawks
again at thirty two, nothing's happened, so that was pick
number twenty two or ten away. If Messidor was there
at thirty two, is that a guy?

And you'd be tempted to take twenty point now, yeah,
twenty five years old. Those foot injuries, you know, you know,
I think that there's probably the lowest developmental potential for him.
You know, I think kind of what you see is
what you get with him. Particularly considered that he was
coached by Jason Taylor at Miami, So you know that
(11:52):
Jason Taylor might be the premier defensive end coach on
planet Earth. He just happens to want to coach college
kids down at Miami with Mario Christobaul. So so I
think there's a lot of question. Okay, how much better
is he going to get? You gotta like what you
see on the tape, and of course you do. But
but I'm a little surprised that, you know, they didn't
(12:13):
go offensive line or or wide receiver there.
Speaker 3 (12:18):
All right, let's again Seattle at thirty two. John Schneider
was very blunt on Monday, saying, everyone, listen, no secret
what we want to do. We want to trade out.
Who knows if they're gonna be able to do that.
We were thinking maybe a tie Simpson would be available,
and Rob, does that change things a little bit? Do
you think for Schneider if a tie because the next
quarterback is a Carson Baback. Okay, so do you think
somebody wants to jump up and get that fifth year
(12:40):
potential option? That's why you do it.
Speaker 7 (12:42):
Yeah, exactly. I think that you do it for quarterbacks,
but you do it for other positions as well. I
think there's a possibility that some other team might be
willing to move up for you know, an head dresser
or cornerback or receiver, you know, some of the positions. Frankly,
that then the Seahawks might be interested in keeping the
pick and making that selection. So to answer your questioning,
I do think that the ty Simpson going much earlier
(13:05):
in this draft probably hurts Seattle's chances of trading out.
But if you're desperate enough to trade out, then then
you still can make a move. I just think that,
you know, if you do trade out, you don't want
to trade down too far because I think that this draft,
as we talked about, it has a lot of quality starters.
It doesn't have many superstars, and I think if you
trade down too far, then you're gonna even lose that
(13:26):
the starter talent.
Speaker 3 (13:27):
All right, forty nine twenty seven, so or a few
picks away from them. He let me go back for
people just joining us right now. Jeremiah Love goes number
three overall, the running back out of Notre Dame. He
goes to Arizona. Again, you'll have to deal with him
in this division. And they still have quarterback issues and
questions there at Arizona, but they get a stud in
Jeremiah Love. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (13:42):
I think that he's a once every three, four to
five year running back. I think he checks all the
boxes that you want checked. He has the explosiveness, he
has the vision. I think he has the lateral quickness,
the ability to sidestep, elite character in the locker room,
and competitiveness and and football matters component to him catches
(14:03):
the ball. He was the Dope Walker Award winner, so
he's got he's got a route tree. I I just
don't see a player with any significant flaws in this respect.
He reminds me of Bejon Robinson. Uh, you know, just
an ability. Now he probably doesn't have the quite the
(14:23):
lateral shiftiness of Jon Robinson, but I think he might
have more explosion and vertical just you know, you know
that that he's got that extra you know, six seventh gear.
So uh yeah, I love the player. If I'm a
Cardinal fan, I'm delighted. I think they've got a marketing issue.
Uh you know, it's a four sport town or no, No,
(14:45):
I don't have hockey.
Speaker 3 (14:46):
Anymore, do be.
Speaker 4 (14:47):
But you know, they got a lot of things going
on there with a state or whatever, and so they
kind of get lost in the washed. I think they
need to generate some enthusiasm. Not that you make a
pick for that, but that's going to be a side
component to it.

You need create excitement there. There's no doubt I mean
there's a business element to it. I mean I've covered
in zillion games down there, and it never has felt
like a home game. That the Cardinals. No, it's very
much like the Chargers play, uh to a certain extent,
the Rams. Although this getting a little bit better, but
the but the Chargers and the Cardinals don't play a
lot of home games. They put a lot a lot
of neutral site games. So yeah, you want to create
some excitement, all right, let me, is there another surprise
for you so far in the first round besides the
(15:21):
ty Simpson. Well, I'm so stunned by that now, you know.

I I love that that that Jordan Tyson uh went
to number eight because I think the tape absolutely supports that. Okay,
I think it's a it's interesting that uh that.

You know, the he's a wide receiver that's been hurt
from Arizona State. He went to he went to the Saints. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (15:45):
Yeah, he was my favorite player coming in the draft
just in terms of watching the tape. Yeah, and uh
and and the body control from him, so so I thought,
you know, there's some question about the medical sliding down.
He even had a conversation with with John Schneider about
him last night. And you know, not in any great detail,
but but you know, the medicals were a legit concern

and uh and and so so that that's the one.
Maybe this surprised me in a good way. All Right,
the Cowboys are on the clock. Let's I think head

The Dallas Cowboys select Malakai Lawrence deem the Band University
of Central Florida.

All Right, Malachi Lawrence the Edge from University of Central Florida,
goes rob. We talked about him, I think just last week,
right we did.
Speaker 7 (16:43):
I mean he's one of the most explosive pass rushers
in this draft class, you know, I mean he is.
His ability to get upfield is you know, uh right
there with like the rbl Reese and uh uh you know,
in the.
Speaker 8 (16:55):
David Baileys of this class. He just doesn't have their bend.
Speaker 7 (16:58):
You know, some guys are are just kind of high
cut and they aren't able to dip their shoulders and
turn the corner. Really well, I've used the comparison to
some guys. It's like almost like they're on a street bike,
the way that they can kind of race around the corner.
I just don't see that with Malchaile Lawrence. But in
terms of his upfield burst, his physicality at the point
(17:21):
of attack, he will play the run. I think that
this is an interesting player for the Cowboys considering the
fact that they've made some big moves. Of course, they
they made the trade, you know, earlier for the Quinn Williams,
the big defensive tackle. They made the trade for Rashaun
Gary from the Green Bay Packers. They've got some guys
up front now that I think are going to be
able to create some pressure. And of course they just
(17:43):
made the selection earlier of Caleb down It's my favorite
player in this class, and so I do think that
they're going to be able to get.
Speaker 8 (17:47):
Pressure on quarterbacks.
Speaker 7 (17:49):
We got some young quarterbacks in the NFC East and
that potentially put the ball up in the air to
improve a pass defense that was atrociously.
Speaker 3 (17:58):
You're you kind of keep an eye on the teams
the NFC, certainly, especially team like Dallas. It always seems
to be a threat, even if they don't make the
playoff last year. By the way, Browns, Bears, Bills, and
forty nine Ers. Of the next four picks, Bears a
Colors a playoff team last year, Bill's a playoff team.
In the forty nine ers, we know what kind of
problems they pose for everybody as well.

Going yeah, you know, one of the questions about Malachai Lawrence, Okay,
you know he's got the four or five two, forty
ninety fifth percentile forty inch verts. That just speaks to
his explosive ninety six percentile. The question, of course at UCF,
you know you're you're a drop down, you're not a
power for school.

But think about the Cowboys to market twelve now rights,
that's be honest. Yeah, yeah, are the Big twelve now
fact check that check?

they've got to make an.

guys like Terrell Austin and la Viscus Sinult, and you know,
you know these guys that you you come in and say,
let's throw them a bubble screen and they'll make a
bunch of guys miss and what have you. Oftentimes that
it looks better in your on your mind's eye than

actually plays out. And you know, the smallest receiver you
know is his ten percent drop rate is alarming. So
I think you know all of his highlights are on
passes that are throwing less than five yards some Lions scrimmage,
So so you know, you know Ronde all Moore that
type of player. Yeah, yeah, those kinds. Yeah, other of

the Browns in the AC We don't have to worry
about them too much.

who might be tempting.

these cornerbacks.

Jenerian Love, the running back from the Notre Dame. We
all know that that he is a player that I
think is a fit. We've talked about him a lot.
But I do want to talk about some of these cornerbacks, right, yeah,
Jenem Price, Yeah, I want to talk about some of
these quarterbacks that cornerbacks excuse me, that would make an
awful lot of sense. Now is about where I would

expect the Chris Johnson's of the world from San Diego State,
who we've talked about, Brendon Cesa from South Carolina, trade
On Stokes's got an awful lot of Tennessee colton hood
from Tennessee.

Yeah, you know, the go ahead, go ahead, I'm sorry, no,
I'm sorry.

And then the other corner whose name is escaped escaped
me for a moment, Frank Cooy, the injury thing exactly, McCoy.

you know, gered McCoy. Now there's been reports of degenerative
knee issue, so maybe it's just you know, the Jews
ain't worth the squeezer in the first round. But here

wonder about his knee.

that this feels like a time where you might get
They have five the Seahawks have it's a crazy thing,
seventy five man roster right now. Uh, and they have
just five corners on that roster. Witherspoon job me and
I appreach it. Shamar Jean Charles who seems like a
career practice squad guy, like he's been on the practice
of for like eight years. I Ali, it's only six. Uh.

And then ill just gonna call him Iggy Noah Iggy
that they just picked up who's more of a slot guy, right,
kind of more slot corner, I believe. So that is
like we can talk about the running backs and we
should talk about running backs being a position to need Hugh,
I'm showing you those names. Yeah, how like if i'm
if I'm giving you like this is like the forest
fire is that red?
Speaker 4 (25:11):
Yeah, it's bright orange at the very least, right, I
mean they got great, they got they got are on
orange near my approach, it is worth mentioning because coming
out of Auburn, uh, there was a feeling that he
didn't have the strength that was need and the functional right,
and so he's really dedicated himself in the weight room
and they feel like he's ready to uh to to
(25:32):
now to make that that step up, having been drafted
in twenty four now year three.

Right, So so that's a possibility, but yes.

Absolutely, And then when you consider also that the uh
the Seahawks, their use of their use of nickel is
number one in the NFL. So if you just think
of nickim and worry as a as a sim sam linebacker,
right right. So, but then when they go dime, they
Devin Witherspoon in to play what's called the overhang defender

apex defender.

He's the guy on the slot in the box depending
on the coverage. Now they need a corner, and they had.
Speaker 4 (26:14):
Of course Reek one. He's gone to Philadelphia on a
one year prove a deal for twelve million, and so
that that spot opens up right now if they had
to play tomorrow when they go dime.

It's pritchet So if how do you feel about Pritchett?

And then, as you said, the depth right, so they're
going I can't imagine Rob they're not getting a corner.

Yeah, exactly if they don't take one here in the
first round, I certainly think that they're going to be
making a cornerback a priority on Day two. In my opinion,
regardless of what order they go in, the Seahawks are
not leaving this draft without drafting a running back and
edge rusher in a cornerback. I don't know what order
they're going to go in. I think that because the

numbers are so good, as we've just talked about, with
all these corners here, then I would make the argument
that maybe you should go with the running back just
because I do feel like it drops off that what's
been my point about Jadarion Price. But again, I'm not
going to criticize any selection of a cornerback that comes
off the board. Here in these next couple of.

the Chicago Bears.

Yeah, think about how they've upgraded their safety position with

Now they spent a first round er at another safety.
You know, this reflects to me a scheme preference because
this is a true center fielder type of free safety.

I mean his range.

This is a guy that you know has a forty
one inch vertical and a four to three five forty
for safeties that's ninety seven percentile.

So this dude can run and and cover ground like
nobody's business.

You know, he had two hundred and forty seven deep
snaps Indiana, mister football, how about that for a factoid?
And relatively lean can bite on play action. But if
you need a dude that's just gonna be back there
playing center field that can go up and not and
make a play on seam routes, can cover grounds side
to side. You know, everybody says sideline to sideline, red

line to red line. If the quarterback's doing his job,
he ain't got no safety's going get into the red line.
But you can disrupt scenes all over from different hash marks,
formations and what have you. So this guy is a
premier playmaker in the in the center hole rop.
Speaker 8 (28:52):
Yeah, no question about it.
Speaker 7 (28:53):
Like I mean, I am as high on Caleb Downs
as as probably as anybody.
Speaker 6 (28:59):
I know.
Speaker 7 (29:00):
There's a lot of people out there who questioned Caleb
downs lack of elite size, And I mentioned him because
I think that Dylan Lineman is right there in the
conversation with Caleb Downs. I just think that he is
among the cleanest players in this draft class. He is instinctive.
He has that sideline in the sidelines speed as you said.
I mean, he came in people said, oh he's you know,
(29:20):
he's a smart guy. He's not an athlete, and then
he runs in the four threes. You know, I mean
I watched it. I went to the University of Oregon
Pro day, and he knew that he didn't have to
do a damn thing just because of what he had
shown in Indianapolis.
Speaker 8 (29:33):
And his tape speaks for itself.
Speaker 7 (29:35):
Not only was the star this past year for Oregon,
of course, a lot of Pacific Northwest fans know what
he did for Oregon, but previously at Perdue, I mean
he led the Big Ten in interceptions as a true freshman.
I mean this guy is a stud. I mean, shag
Bears got themselves the steel here at number twenty five overall.
I think that again, he should have been taken off
the board ten picks earlier.
Speaker 3 (29:55):
Guy with the big ten interceptions of Purdue with a
team that probably no one had to throw against us. Yeah, yeah,
right right, there's just like there were It's not like
people were airing it out because they hadn't have come
from behind against that team. So that's that's probably good.
I'd be more impressed, I used to I used to
think I'd be more impressed with a mister basketball from
Indiana as opposed to mister football that might a chieven
just happen here. I think all of our impressions about Indiana.
(30:18):
It changed a lot. It looks like we've got a
trade that took place. The Texans were on the clock,
or actually the Texans are on the clock. They traded
up and so we'll get that pick in just a
couple of seconds. They're gonna pick at twenty six. And
then and it looks like the oh, our friends of
forty nine ers have also traded down. They are no
longer on the twenty seventh pick. The Dolphins are now
(30:38):
twenty seven. Forty nine Ers moved down to number thirty.
So now we have a team that has moved down.
Hugh and Rob and the you know, at the lower
half of the draft, lower third of the draft, the
forty nine ers were able to move down a couple
of spots. I'm not sure what the result is in
terms of the trade. We'll try to get that. Maybe
Jackson or just can find that for us. But the
forty nine ers will probably accumulated more picks. They came in,
by the way, with just six. The forty niners did
(31:00):
fix six draft picks, and four of those were in
the fourth round, so they're probably trying to find some
more depth along the way. I would assume draft wise
as well, and Seattle stield sits there at number thirty two.
So the forty nine ers will pick at thirty they'll
pick two spots before Seattle. And again we've got a
couple of teams on the clock right now, the Texans
on the clock, and they're gonna we'll get their pick
here in just a couple of seconds as well. I
(31:21):
do want to if we have time before the pick
is made with let's go back to j Darion to
the running back from from the from the Notre Dame
and the second running back.
Speaker 7 (31:32):
Yep, I really like Jujeium Price. Again, I understand the
hesitancy that some have with Jadarian Price in that if
all you do is look at the box scores. I mean,
the guy never had more than fifteen touches in any
game his entire college career. And yet I would say
that if you watch the tape that you will see
(31:52):
very instinctive plays. You will uh the questions about if
he is a good pass catcher. You know, some of
that is just because Notre Dame featured a guy in
Jeremiah Love who that was like his secret sauce.
Speaker 8 (32:05):
I mean, he's unbelievable in that way.
Speaker 3 (32:07):
But Notre Dame clearly trusted Jeneri Price Roger Gadell real Quick.
Speaker 2 (32:12):
In the six NFL Draft, the Houston Texans select Kilan
Rutledge guard Georgia Tech.
Speaker 3 (32:21):
Absolutely, the Texans upgrade their offensive line. Wrap up your
thoughts on Price, and I wanted to have you jump
in on Price, the running back from Notre Dame.
Speaker 7 (32:29):
Sure, So again, if you're gonna question Jeneri on Price
as a receiver, and again statistically it's sggest that he
was not very good in that area, then why was
he the Irish's kick returner. I mean, you obviously have
to trust somebody's hands if they are going to be
a kick returner. Speaking of kick returns, and he had
three returns for touchdowns over his college career. He did
(32:49):
have some fumbles and that is my concern with him.
It's my concern with Mike Washington junior as well. But
at the same time, I just see a guy, like
we've talked before in about the fact it seems like
Seattle prioritizes players who have stuck with their college program.
This guy could have gone and it took an nil
transfer somewhere, and instead he chose to stick with Notre Dame.
(33:11):
I've just been very impressed by who he is as
a human being in my kind of digging into his
character and then certainly his tape, I think it's very
much worthy of the top forty ish kind of conversation.
And to me, the difference between number forty and number
thirty two overall in this draft is completely negligible.
Speaker 3 (33:31):
Price.
Speaker 4 (33:32):
Well, first thing is two hundred three pounds at the combine,
and so he only had a little over eight touches
per game because he's he's sharing the load with Jeremiah Love.
In fact, he was Robin and Love was Batman, right,
So there's some concerns when you combine his relatively few
(33:52):
touches with the two hundred and three pounds. Now, there's
durability concerns that come in. As for the hands as
a punt, Rob's right, in my opinion, you're not gonna
put a guy back there that if you don't trust
his hands, you're gonna trust his judgment. That that is
different in terms of okay, you're running tech option routes
(34:14):
out of the backfielder or having a feel for the
concepts on certain routes by you know how to set
up zone versus man or what have you, so, so
it doesn't necessarily speak to his feel in the passing game.
Speaker 3 (34:29):
For me, when I evaluate a running back.
Speaker 4 (34:31):
The first you know, I'm not gonna say obviously, blitz
pick up is essential. Let me repeat essential. But if
a guy has the want to, you can genuinely teach
him the technique.
Speaker 3 (34:45):
Now.
Speaker 4 (34:45):
Now, it may be he's not going to be If
you have explosion through your hips, you're going to be better.
But if he hasn't want to, you can least get
him to be playable. The most important thing to me
is watch the end zone copy and see his vision,
his celeration, his lateral quickness, and get a feel. You
got to watch a running back for a long time
(35:06):
to get a sense of is he getting yards that
are not blocked? Because you could have tell me the
greatest running back of your lifetime, Barry Sanders at age
twenty seven. I could show you a tape where Barry
Sanders had ten straight runs and didn't get more in
the yard, Like, if it's not blocked, I don't care
who you are, you ain't getting the yards right. And
then furthermore, you know I could show you time to
(35:29):
where George Alani's gonna get him a minimum of twelve
yards on that freaking blocking right, And now maybe Barry
Sanders would have housed it.
Speaker 3 (35:37):
But any running back is getting twelve yards. So to me,
in looking at Price.
Speaker 4 (35:42):
I think that his lateral quickness is better than Mike
Washington's at at Arkansas, and I think you could say
maybe his vision's better. There is some advanced metrics, if
you're into that kind of thing, that say he has
a very disappointing yards over expected when they look at
GPS like where the defenders are and what have you,
(36:03):
and it would it would suggest he was a beneficiary
of a really good Notre Dame offensive line.
Speaker 3 (36:11):
So I would just say, you know, if you have
a poor offensive line, I.
Speaker 4 (36:16):
Think Price has got a better chance of getting a
three yard gain than Washington. Washington might be zero one,
but if you the line blocks for a five yard game,
Washington can turn a five yard gain into a twenty
five yard game.
Speaker 3 (36:30):
A lot more than Price. Camp. All right, we'll take
a quick break. We'll come back. We're getting closer to
Seattle's pick. The Dolphins are on the clock at twenty
seven against Seattle at thirty two, the forty nine ers
have moved down to number thirty. By the way, they
moved down three spots. They go from twenty seven to thirty. Also,
they picked up the ninetieth pick overall, which my math

Well, there you go, Chris Johnson. We just almost we
spoke it into existence. The quarterback out of San Diego State.
He goes twenty seventh overall, Hugh to the Miami Dolphins. Yeah,
I think that there's a little bit of disappointment just down.
Speaker 4 (37:34):
Yeah. I mean, I just think that that was I'm
not saying that they would have taken him, I don't know,
but he was. Here was a guy that at San
Diego State, I mean, just a beautiful transition in his movements.
He was a guy that you know, had a sixteen
point one passer rating allowed. That's best in the class. Yeah,
(37:58):
you had two pick sixes. He uh, he plays the
ball like a receiver.
Speaker 6 (38:05):
You know.
Speaker 4 (38:05):
I think there's a fluidity to him. He has good
not great size, got a narrow frame. But I think
that his his uh, his body movements rob you know,
and and his ability to play the ball. We're you know,
in his durability, his production, we're all you know, you know,
only question you'd have is him playing in the in
(38:28):
the Mountain West Conference, right, but you know Dern Bland
Lugarious Snead. I mean, there's there's there's corners from that conference,
just like all positions from that conference.
Speaker 3 (38:38):
And and he won't be a Seahawk.
Speaker 8 (38:41):
Yeah, unfortunately he won't.
Speaker 7 (38:42):
And you know this is we talked before about the
fact that I am a proud scout for the BC Lions,
and among my responsibilities is the Mountain West Conference or
whatever the shambles of college football now you know.
Speaker 8 (38:57):
Yeah exactly, yeah, same with the Mountain West.
Speaker 7 (39:01):
But you know, if you are going to play at
a so called lower level of football, then you know,
then dominated and that's exactly what this guy did. He
was the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year. He
had a couple of interceptions this season, two of them.
Excuse me, I think he had four interceptions this season,
two of them in which he took back to the
house for touchdowns. He is just as you said, Hugh,
you know, he is just so smooth in coverage. I mean,
(39:21):
he's a smooth athlete, and then he's also a very
instinctive player.
Speaker 3 (39:26):
Uh. You know.
Speaker 7 (39:26):
I did not go to Mobile, Alabama this year for
the Senior Bowl, which kind of broke my heart. Twenty
the last twenty four years I've gone there. But from
what I hear, Chris Johnson was good, not elite there,
and that's the only reason I think that he was
available at this point in the draft, all the talk
about him going to Seattle, I just thought that it
was unlikely that he would get all the way down
to number thirty two because I just thought the tape
(39:47):
was just too good. When he ran a four to
four to zero at the combine, I just thought, well, Cion,
are you know but a really good player that I
think is.
Speaker 8 (39:55):
One of the best picks so far of this draft.
Speaker 3 (39:57):
Glad you can go to the forty nine ers. That's
all I know, all right, let's go. They've got all
kinds of stuff going on in New England, but they
actually are going to make a pick, and let's get
to that right now, number twenty eight overall with the Patriots,
we'reby twenty eight pick in the twenty twenty sixth NFL Draft.

The New England Patriots like Killeb Lomou tackle Utah.
Speaker 6 (40:20):
Caleb Lober offensive tackle Utah six pot six, three hundred
and eight pounds, Damn Pierre keeps it, cuts back battle
damp Pier touchdown. They never got him to the ground.
Lomo was Utah's starting left tackle for the last two seasons.
(40:40):
In twenty twenty five, Lomu was named first team All
Big twelve and did not allow us sack in three
hundred and fifty seven pass blocking opportunities. According to Pro
Football Focus, Lomu's pass blocking is considered ahead of his
run blocking at this stage, especially when it comes to
the power run game, but it still has plenty of
room for improvement.
Speaker 3 (41:00):
All right, That wasn't trade, by the way, because obviously
the Patriots would have been picking at thirty one. Last
I checked Seahawks feat them in the Super Bowl, So
they did move up there along the way, and the
Bills now have that pick that was also a trade.
So the Bills have the thirty first pick. Chiefs are
next up at twenty nine, then the forty nine ers,
and then we're gonna break and we'll just keep it
here after that forty nine er pick, and we'll take
(41:22):
a quick break after that pick, and we'll keep it
here because then we'll see what happens with Seattle and
keep an eye on that, and then at some point,
wait for it, John Schneider and Mike McDonald will be
in this room and we'll hear from them as well.
But guys were getting closer and closer, and you got
to think just down the hall, the phone lines are
burning up with John Snider right now trying to move
out of that thirty two spot. Yeah yeah, uh oh,
