the Pinnacle Bank Championships come to town and the entertainment.
It's second tonight and we got a great one coming
up one week from tonight. Lauren and Lana in concert

To talk to you, to dok you thank you for
having me. How are y'all?

We're doing fantastic. Gina and I were going down memory
lane a little bit before we got on the air
with you here, and you played for our twentieth anniversary
for our radio station with the Hunter Hayes and Neil McCoy.
Just a young young girl. Look at you now, now
you're a married Mommy, I am.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
My name is no longer Lauren. It is mama her
first word, So I'm very thankful for that. Most I
think most babies say dad at first. But my daughter
said mama, so she head yes.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
So get us get us caught up on the family.
How they doing.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
Oh, we're doing great. We are actually on a little
vacation in Florida right now, and uh, seeing my daughter
in the sand on the beach. She loves like sitting
in the shallow water where the waves will just like
come up a little bit. Obviously, she's thirteen months old,
so we're not going into the ocean, but she's just
(01:26):
seeing things for the first time with her. It's so incredible.
I'm like, I wish we could all have that much
joy forever. She's like and she goes, wow, Wow, She's
just wonderful. And my husband is the best dad. I
(01:47):
hit the lottery with him, I really did. He's hilarious
and he's he's so good with her. He's so gent.
It's just so sweet watching him be a dad. I
didn't think I could love him more, and then we
had a daughter and he's so sweet with her. That's
a really beautiful season right now.

H So when we first met you, you were young,
you were single, you were very driven to the early
part of your career. Now how you're balancing a career
with being married and having a baby.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
I was so worried. I remember being young and single
and thinking that I would I wasn't sure that I
would ever get to be a mom and be married
because of how much I work. And we just make
it work. Obviously, my priorities have shifted. They my husband
and my daughter come first always, But really we've been
able to balance it so well. Mostly just trying to

figure out because I travel so much. Now we're trying
to figure out when she stays home with her dad,
because you know, he were too and I can't always
take her away from him. So the biggest struggle is
like balance and who gets to keep her because we
both want her to be with us at all times.
But my husband gets to come sometimes too, And when
(03:13):
I tell him that this is a show after a
after golf, I imagine he will be wanting to come.
I bet you be a golfer. My husband loves to golf,
but she's the best, you know. I think God gives
you the children that are right for you. And she
sleeps great on the bus. She's a great traveler. She
(03:34):
she's good on the plane. I mean, she's just incredible.
I could not ask for a better child. I love
her so much. And you know, I wish I could
have told my younger self, someday you're gonna have all
the things you want, and your career is going to
be doing well, and you're going to have a family.
I wish I could tell all young people that I
(03:55):
think a lot of us are in this. You know,
I only can speak to my career, but like I'm
figuring it out. You know, you just figure it out,
and you signed what works for you and your family.
And I can have the career and the family too,
And I'm so thankful for that.

Well, this is exciting. Your new album, Stages is coming
out August twenty eighth, and it features a song with
Keen Brown called Never Been in Love. Now. I know
that you and Kan were childhood friends. What's one of
the best memories that you have with him?
Speaker 3 (04:31):
I remember the first time I ever heard him singing.
We were in sixth grade, or I was in sixth grade.
I believe he was in seventh grade. You know. We
were in choir class together and he was really quiet
and shy, and I was really not but I heard
him homing in class one day and I asked him
if he could sing, and I'll never forget he said,
(04:52):
I've only ever sang in front of my grandmother. So
I took him up to the front of the classroom
and he sang for me and the teacher and he's saying,
I can only imagine. I don't know if you know
that song. Yeah, I remember it was like it was yesterday,
and I thought that was a sweet choice that he
that's the song he chose to sing, And gosh, it
(05:12):
literally feels like yesterday. But yes, I've known it a
long time. Actually, he lived there. They have a place
down here in Florida, so we spent all day with
them yesterday with the kids. So our families got together
yesterday and kind of crazy to know someone he played
t ball with my brother when they were little, so
(05:33):
to grow up and both of us end up in Nashville,
away from home. You know, we're from Georgia. To have
someone like that that I've known forever and now he
has children that play with my daughter, it's just crazy
life is So that is such a special thing for
us to have. You know, I don't have anyone else
(05:56):
from back home in Nashville, So to have him, it's
just so special. He's he's family to me.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
That's unusual to have, you know, a full circle thing
like that. That's very cool. Talking with Lauren Delana here

about your web series la Lately.
Speaker 3 (06:14):
Yeah, So I like to talk and that's the way
way to get to do it. But it's really fun,
you know, like dream Big. I would love to host,
like a television show like the Kelly Clarkson Show, something
like that. I would thrive doing that. And so I
tried to think outside the box. I'm like stepping stones
(06:36):
to you know, show my hosting abilities and stuff. And
I get to interview my friends. And we've had put
wonderful people on the web series. We had Trisha Yearwood,
We've had Brussel Dickerson, Martina McBride. I had a bunch
of really cool people on there. Jase Matthew, who my
(06:58):
current single is with and we're climbing the charts. We're
almost top ten. I'm very excited about it. The web series.
The web series is really fun and just another way
for me to entertain. Honestly, I just love interacting and entertaining.
I always have, and the you know, the podcast is
(07:19):
that the web series is a way for me to
do that in a different way and to talk about
other people and help share their stories. And I really
love it.
Speaker 2 (07:28):
I think Kelly Clarkson is is not going to be
doing her show anymore, so you would be perfect.

I know they need to call me, Yes, they do.
