Every school has that one person who makes the halls
feel just awesome. Well, at JJ Pierce High School in Richardson, Texas,
that person is Van Lee. He's a custodian known for
his kindness and the way he greets students like they matter.
So when students learned that he'd been hospitalized for months
and faced huge medical bills, they just didn't They felt bad.
They wanted to do something, so the school's swimstead team,

led by their coach, organized a swim athon to raise
money for Lee, and students swim laps after lapped and
donations just poured in and they were able to help
him big time with his medical bills.
