Back in December, soccer fans in Scotland learned their team
would be in the World Cup tournament for the first
time since nineteen ninety eight, and they were so thrilled
about the chance to see their team here in the
US and started making travel plans. They connected with people
in Providence, Rhode Island, and were just blown away about
how nice the community was, telling them where to stay,
where to eat, things like that. So to show their gratitude,

the fans raised thirty thousand dollars for different charities in
that area, including a ten thousand dollars donation to Hasboro
Children's Hospital and the cancer Unit.
