Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's the after show decompression session, doing what they do best, glapping.
Their gums are all blast off.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
I want you to give us a review as soon
as possible, right after Superman. Let us know thumbs up.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
Please do so.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
You two haven't seen it yet?
Speaker 2 (00:19):
No, no, well it just opened last weekend and we
didn't want to go Openny weekends. All the crowd.
Speaker 1 (00:24):
You'd never get a seat. Yeah, but see when I go,
like at the noon show, most normal people are at work.
That's right, we're abnormal. That means we're already for work.
Speaker 3 (00:35):
We like those matinee showings on a weekday, don't. Oh yeah,
spread out, get comfy, take up a couple of seats
if you want to.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
Yeah, but you know, it's just like I just can't.
People invite me to do shit over the week, you know,
and I just say, man, I can't do it.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
The school night. But you can go to those matinee shows, yes,
And I prefer it because I don't like to be
around a lot of people when I'm watching a movie.
Speaker 4 (00:59):
No.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
I know it's add for the theater companies, but for me,
I love it when it's just me and maybe one
other person.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
Right, Well, people don't behave in the movie theater all
the time.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Even when they're eating. Yeah, they can get on my
nerves they're rattling popcorn or rag.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
When I saw a complete unknown the Timothy Chalomet and
it was a premiere, so it was a lot of
media types there and the people behind us, I kept
doing that where you turn around and give them a
dirty look because they were yacking at the very beginning
of the movie, like it was like it was only
them in the theater and the rest of us didn't
even exist, And I just gave them those like dirty looks,
(01:39):
like would you.
Speaker 3 (01:41):
I love Alamo Drafthouse's policy. They put it up on
the screen before the movie. It says, if you're caught talking,
you get one warning. If you get caught talking a
second time, you're rejected and you get no refund for
your ticket. Period.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
That's the way to do Yeah, that's the way to
do it. Behavior elf, or you get a financial assholepin.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
That's right, that's right. Yeah, it's fun to have the
theater by yourself. The only time I didn't like that
is when I saw The Blair Witch Project. I was
the only person in the theater. It was like ten am,
and I was on an empty stomach and I've just
powered down some nachos and it made me queasy. And
then the movie was really weird and scary.
Speaker 2 (02:21):
Doesn't it make you dizzy?
Speaker 3 (02:23):
Yeah, all of that kind of mixed together, and I
was like, yes, I wish I wasn't alone for this experience.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
Well, but they tried to make that look like a
documentary but it wasn't, and everybody knew it wasn't. But yeah,
nice try.
Speaker 2 (02:37):
I don't like scary movies, but because of all the
buzz around the Blair Witch Probrec, I started watching it
like at home, not at the theater, and I was like,
I don't get it.
Speaker 1 (02:46):
I just didn't get it. It wasn't scary.
Speaker 3 (02:49):
The end freaked me out. But that was many, many years.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
I don't remember what happened at the end.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
At the end, the camera just cuts off and he
goes running towards these sounds in this presence. It's in
this house, and you see the camera like spiral down
the stairs to the basement, and then you see some
like undead children and they're facing a wall and they
look gross, and then it cuts off and it's the
end of.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
The room, that's it. I didn't last So zombie children
huh kinda yeah?
Speaker 3 (03:19):
Yeah, like creepy, aggressive, angry children ghosts.
Speaker 1 (03:24):
That's like something your pants whoop, you ask for it.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
I didn't even last to the midway point of Blair Witch.
But I don't get it.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
I'm out.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
But I'm scared about Superman because there's been so much
hype about how great a movie it is. I said,
you know, Luke Skywalker, Mark Hamill said his family loved it,
said it was incredible, And I want to have your
honest opinion about whether you liked it or please.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
You know how much I like superhero movies, Yes, I do.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
But sometimes they don't live up to the house.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
I like both Marvel and DC, and this is the
one that is supposed to pull DC out of the
swamp because Marvel just blows them away as far as
movies go. You think so, I think so.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
I think so too. Some of the Batman movies I
didn't like.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
M Justice League was okay, yeah, let me see, let's
see he's on the phone. Maybe somebody who's seen it, hello,
vowing them?
Speaker 3 (04:21):
Show?
Speaker 4 (04:23):
Hey, what's that vow show?
Speaker 2 (04:26):
What's going on?
Speaker 4 (04:29):
No? My mom fell and heard her back her, she
has targets. She's did better. She's rehab, oh god, for
about a week now so.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
Far already, hear that, Steve.
Speaker 4 (04:45):
Yeah, she's gonna she's gonna be back at the twenty
seven this month. She just turn. She don't forgive.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
Is the rehab place close to your house at least?
Or is it kind of a hike you.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
Get there down the street? To me?
Speaker 2 (05:03):
Okay, good, good, because when it's a hike and you
have to go visit a loved one as much as
you love them, sometimes it's pain in the ass.
Speaker 4 (05:12):
We don't visit for all. We stayed for about three
minutes to almost to know, well almost, I'll leave it
so quickness. Well that's stuff we thing can't stay aday.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
Was I appreciate your visits.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
Yeah, she's lucky to have in there.
Speaker 4 (05:30):
We're taking care of the dog and the dude. What
do we need to do what she's going? You know,
got fit for ourselves and we're doing good job on
my brother.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
They were got eighty nine years old and the fall
and hurt your back and that.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
Is painful, awful.
Speaker 4 (05:48):
Well, she said she fell for she had her birthday
the turf.
Speaker 3 (05:51):
This monster sounds like a tough lady.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
That's why I'm working now, because.
Speaker 4 (05:58):
I don't want to show I need to work out
a seven get over the bit of a belly, not you. Yeah, maybe,
well I'm about parts.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
Get on it, man, get on it. Switch to light.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
Beer at least, or you can jog while you drink beer.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Hey, yeah, Not only would that be a bad idea,
you'd spill your beer in the process.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
And it's just the damnedest thing I've seen when when
you're standing on the side of the road and you're
watching one of those four hundred k races and the
runners going by, and somebody will stick their hand out
and hand them a cold beer while they're running. Oh yeah,
how the hell do you not barf and burp and
just it seems like a huge inconvenience to try and
(06:49):
drink a beer bottle.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
There's a time for jogging and a time for drinking,
which is right after you finished jogging.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
You're infest and Munster just north of us, they always
hand out beer while you're running. After the run too.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
I just think it would verp right back up all
over my running shirt.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
It would too, because you're a novice.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
Yeah, that's good. Yeah, that's as far as beers go.
That's a really healthy choice. Car hanging there, Steve, you
pass along some love to her from us. You understand
we're thinking of you, all right, brother, keep us posing.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
Thanks for calling in.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
I got about every other sentence.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
Yeah, he's understood. I think I speak Steve now.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
Really that's because you didn't do as much damage to
your brain cells as I have. Steve's a good boy.
He takes care of his mom and.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
His mom's house and everything. He's a good family man.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
I get the feeling that our company means a hell
of a lot to him.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
Good, well, he means a hell of a lot to
well all that show. That's why we're here. Yeah, that's right.
Speaker 2 (08:03):
Isn't a customer appreciation day or something? What did you
start off with that?
Speaker 3 (08:07):
Customers always run into one of those categories.
Speaker 2 (08:10):
Definitely a customer.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
To know your customer's day.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
Well, we got to know Steve. We found out that
his mom hurt her back and is in rehabit. Our
thoughts and our prayers go out to her. Bless her heart.
Eighty nine years old.
Speaker 3 (08:24):
Wow, my goodness.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
Okay, Well, I have a public affairs show I've got
more house issues. Just a heads up tomorrow. I'll be
leaving probably around nine because fingers crossed they're going to
come and fix the ceiling tomorrow better well, so I
have to cut out early Tomorrow's about that?
Speaker 1 (08:43):
Can't you stick around for the after show?
Speaker 4 (08:46):
No?
Speaker 2 (08:47):
I won't be able to, but I can do time
wasters how about that? Okay, yeah, you can do time
wrap up the show?
Speaker 3 (08:52):
All right, Let's let Anna get out of here, and
if me and you feel like doing the after show,
then we'll call her on her phone and see if
we can pick up maybe even hear this service contractor
in the background and assess support.
Speaker 1 (09:06):
Say, how the done is? He's broken another ceiling for you?
Curse me?
Speaker 2 (09:12):
He was actually very very sweet as I talked to
him personally.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
He's very sweet, but he's clumsy, apparently.
Speaker 2 (09:18):
No, he's This is a completely different guy than the
one who fell through the seating.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
Oh that's good.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
Yeah, this is a.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
Completely different guy. He's the guy that's going to fix
the ceiling after the guy. The other guy was hired
to break through the ceiling.
Speaker 3 (09:33):
A whole different job, whole different animal all together.
Speaker 1 (09:37):
All right, Rescus, we will see you tomorrow for the
Friday show, and it'll be your last chance this week
to pick your ticket between tickets to see George Thurgood
