The Morning Breeze, The Morning Breezeon demand Peywood Mac. It is six
oh eight, Good morning from theMorning Breeze. It's Carolyn and Court on
what is supposed to be court thehottest day of this heat wave that we
are having oday, Today's the day. Okay, So the way to spin
this because I know it's gonna bea pretty hot in a lot of places

(00:22):
in the Bay area. Yeah,is it's all downhill from here in a
good way, I think so,although tomorrow I'm looking now tomorrow might be
hotter. Yeah, so never mind, I'm looking particularly at Clayton because I'm
out in the Clayton area. Yeah, you're East Bay one hundred and five
today, one oh six tomorrow.I mean, honestly, at that point
one degree and then it cools downto one on one and then we're back

(00:45):
up to one oh five. So, uh, never mind everything I just
said. Okay, So it's gonnabe hot for the next couple of days.
It's gonna be bad, which iswhy we actually address this on our
Facebook page today. We know it'sgonna be hot, so we want to
find out how hot is it goingto be where you are. I am
fascinated with finding out a where ourlisteners live because I always love hearing where

(01:06):
are you listening to us? Likewhat city are you in? And then
yes, what is the temperature goingto be? Because I'm sort of weather
obsessive. I always love knowing temperatureswhere people are. So yeah, ninety
eight. One of the breeze onFacebook is where you'll find us to tell
us where you live and what thetemperature is going to be. Yeah,
I already saw it. Ray isin Lubbock, Texas. It's going to
be one hundred degrees there. Soyou don't even have to be in the

(01:26):
Bay Area to participate in nothing.Ray, although that's South heat and that's
really hot and there might be somehumidity in it. And I love By
the way, Ray, if you'relistening right now, thank you. He's
listening on our iHeartRadio app I assume, so thank you for that. And
coming up this morning at six twentyfive, we're going to do the morning
Breeze brain Teas. Okay, sowhat is today's question? I got to

(01:48):
get one of these one of thesedays. One day, you'll get there,
Okay, baby steps. A newsurvey found that this is the number
one thing you're too old to havein your house or apartment when you're over
the age of thirty. Oh,over the age of thirty. So if
you're over the age of thirty, this is the number one thing you're just
too old to have. Okay. The skateboard, it could go a lot

(02:13):
of way. Is this skateboard.I've got a skateboard in my garage.
I stand by my statement. I'mprobably two exits Bart Simpson's skateboard and it's
awesome, Okay, So that Itake it is not the answer. If
you think you know the answer eightseven seven nine eight one oh nine eight
one. Court, we'll have thatanswer for as coming up six twenty five
this morning, right here on thebreeze Breeze, it's the Morning Breeze with

(02:37):
the Bengals. Six twenty four. It's Carolyn and Court. Let's do the
morning Breeze brain tease. A newsurvey found that this is the number one
thing you're too old to have inyour house or apartment if you're over the
age of thirty. I felt veryconfident about my skateboard, guests Sure,
which was quickly dismissed. Eight sevenseven nine eight one oh one is our

(03:00):
phone number? Nancy in Milpitis, what do you think? The answer is
a video game, a video gamesystem. Well, I'm gonna tell you
this, Nancy, I own anXbox yep, court is an adult that
plays video games. Kay kill hertoo, and they're in their forty Yeah,

(03:22):
I probably shouldn't because I spend wayway more time on it. In
fact, I have found, Nancy, I spend more time sometimes on the
Xbox than my two teenage daughters. That tracks. Nice. Try Nancy,
great guests, but not the answerwe we're looking for. Okay. A
new survey found that this is thenumber one thing you're too old to have
in your house or apartment if you'reover the age of thirty. It's Kelsey

(03:46):
in San Jose. What do youthink? Is it a futon? Futan?
Oh, that has to be onehundred percent of people. Is it
a couch? Is it a chair? Is it a bed? I feel
like a futon these days belongs ina den. For the record, there
are some high end futons. Thereare when you're over the age of thirty
that shouldn't be your primary sleeping areabecause your back is going to hurt their

(04:08):
day for sure, Like when yougraduate college, it's time to get rid
of your Ikea very well said,I love the Ikea reference in there too
the whole house. Great guess, but not what we're looking for. The
correct answer is, if you're overthe age of thirty, you should not
have posters tacked to your wall.O home. Do they even make posters

(04:30):
anymore? Yeah, my daughters havethem all over their room and they're tacked
to the wall. Really, Ithink the biggest change. Don't tack them
to the wall. Maybe frame them, hang out if they're a nice poster.
Do you remember having posters on yourwall when you were growing up?
Yes, I had BRANDI Legends ofthe Legends of the Fall, and I
had ck One the perfume. Ohmy gosh, k One. I could

(04:53):
still remember what that smelled like whenyou'd open a magazine. Me too,
it was the best. Well, you're the best. Thank you for calling
in. Yeah, thank you, guys. I have a great one you
too, Yes, by Kelsey.I actually still have posters, my posters
from high school years in my garage. Oh really, I kept them kept.

(05:13):
I don't know what I'm gonna dowith them, but they're in a
box of the mind. What didyou have? What were your posters?
Will me? Being the big youtwo guy that I was, I had
just a ton of YouTube poster it'ssuch a guy thing. Yeah, what
about you? I had Kirk Cameron, of course, Rob Low see Thomas
Howell, all the dreamy boys fromthe eighties. Oh, it was a
wall full of fun. Dolph Lungrenremember when he was Ivan Drago and Rocky

(05:35):
four. I had a black andwhite glossy of that. He was the
enemy? Carolyn? What was goingon there? So hot? All right,
it's the Morning Breeze brain teas. You can reach us eight seven seven
nine eight one oh nine eight one, and coming up on Friday morning,
just after seven o'clock, we willannounce this week's Morning Breeze Person of the

(05:58):
week. But we need your help. That's right. These are people in
the Bay Area you believe are goingabove and beyond just basically making things better
for others. I was thinking theother day it could be as simple as
going to the grocery store and yousee the same checker at the grocery store
every week, and you think thatperson is really nice and they need to
be shouted out on the radio. It could be that simple somebody that you
see on the daily. That's right. We're gonna spotlight them on Friday,

(06:21):
tell what they're doing doing that's great, and then award them brunch for two
around the Bay on City Cruises. So if you know this person, if
you're thinking about them, hop onour website right now. Ninety eight one
the Breeds dot Com. Leon lewisat seven six here on the Morning Breeze
with Carolyn and Court And it's timenow for the brighter side. This is
where you tell us about the goodand great things that are happening in your

(06:43):
life. Eight seven seven nine eightone nine eight one. It's Denise and
antiox So what are you so happyabout this morning? My daughter is going

at the three time cancer survivor, life is good. Ah, and

thinking of all of them right now. Give me one, oh oh,
read read a book. I meanread part of a book. Read half
of a chapter of a book. That's pretty good. I put you on

(08:16):
the spot. Yeah you did allright, ninety eight minutes NonStop commercial free
relaxing favorites. We'll start that rightat eight fifty. Here on the Breeze,
ed Charon at seven twenty four. It's the Morning Breeze with Carolyn and
Court I'm about to tell you whathappened to me the other day, And
the fact that I am about toshare this with you on the radio speaks
volumes about how much I trust thatyou will not laugh. Oh the story,

(08:37):
Carolyn. This is a safe place, safe space. Anything you say
here is amongst friends. Okay, here's what happened. I went to a
store the other day because there wascourt. You're already smiling there, you're
laughing. I just had three words. You set this up so that I
just kind of You're about to saysomething maybe embarrassing. Okay. I went

(09:00):
to a store the other day tobuy this shirt that I saw that I
really liked, that I really like. And I went into the store and
I couldn't find the shirt and thewomen's section. So a lovely saleswoman came
up to me and said, canI help you find the shirt? Yes,
she said, oh, we onlysell this shirt in men's Okay,
Ah, that happens a lot.Actually, yeah it does. There's such

(09:24):
a difference though, as a woman'sshopping for It's a T shirt, right,
So shopping for a T shirt betweena woman's cut and a men's a
big difference. And I much prefera woman's women's T shirt on me.
So anyway, she takes me.I said, I'll look at it anyway,
go to the men's section. There'sthe shirt. I'm excited. That's
the shirt. I found it.So I'm looking at it now. I'm

(09:45):
like, what size do I get? Because I'm tall, but I'm not
like big big but I'm tall, and she and so I said, I
don't, I don't know. I'mso glad it was a woman helping me.
I'm like, I don't know whatsize, and you're with a professional.
Yes, she said, I thinkyou're a men's large. Court you

(10:07):
snorted a little. She said amen's large. She said, you are,
or I think you are. Shesaid, I think a men's large
would be the best. She basicallysaid it what I said, those words,
what I would do to be amen's large myself. But you're not
a men's large. What are you? I'm an exl Oh, okay,
well it's okay because you're a man. That's a difference. So I'm like,

(10:31):
I look at this shirt and Isaid, I think this is too
big. I don't think i'm amen's large. She says, it's gonna
shrink a lot. It's cotton.I've been doing this a long time.
Not pretty shunk. It's not prettyshrunk. Take the shirt. So I
took that men's large. I tookit home, I washed it and guess
what, too big. Now Ican't take it back. I got this

(10:52):
men's large shirt. My ego's bruised. So now I'm wearing it is like
a nightgown, like a like aT shirt to bed. I'm getting all
caught up in it and the sheetsthat I turn around, it's like sideways
on me. The big takeaway hereis Carolyn is not a men's large.
That is true. And if Ilog onto our Facebook later today, Court

(11:15):
and you've done the show recap andthat you've titled it, Carolyn is not
a men's large. I am comingto your house. We will speak of
this no more you wait to seethe title entenation because you are not as
large anyway. Do you think thatlike a medium would have been the better
way? Yes, I think weneed to not talk about the sizes.

(11:37):
It would have been fine. Buthave you ever had something like this happened
to you when you go shopping andthe salesperson doesn't mean to insult. You
know, they're not doing it allperfect, but they may or may not
come across that. There are someplaces where the salesperson is like a huge
asset and really knows what they're talkingabout. There's other places where they're just
a hired hand not so much.Yeah, it sounds like that's what you
got here. Yeah, yeah, yeah, eight seven seven nine eight one.

(12:01):
You can always send a talk backto us with our iHeartRadio app.
That microphone right on the talkback makesit really easy for you to do.
And coming up this morning at eightfifty, we'd encourage you to stick around
because we're going to be commercial free. Perfect way to kick off your Tuesday
with ninety eight minutes of NonStop, commercial free, relaxing favorites. Whether you
wear a men's liby, I knewI felt it coming be here, eight
fifty versal free on the Morning BreezeBilly Joel the Piano Man. At seven

(12:26):
forty, you've got the Morning Breezewith Carolyn and Court. I have a
question for you, Court. Howearly is too early for holiday decorations to
hit the shelves? And I'm talkingChristmas decorations. We are July seconds.
Yeah, the holidays start in November. Traditional holidays. What do you think

(12:50):
is the ideal time? When wouldyou like to see holiday like decorations and
stores for me to to look atand possibly buy. Yeah, I'm comptable
with October. Me too, Iwould have said October. Yeah, maybe
late September, once the weather startsto turn and it's a little cooler,
falls in the air when I feellike when fall so late September. Let

(13:11):
me check one more time. Temperatureand Clayton today one hundred and five degrees.
Yesterday I was at Costco, whichI love Costco by the way,
I love costcoh. I know wherethis is going. Holiday decorations everywhere,
Christmas wrapping paper, ribbon up.Yeah, I don't think the trees are

(13:31):
I didn't see any trees, butobviously you mean the artificial trees. That
would be funny if they had livetrees. Who wants a live tree and
a cooling towel? Right? Butyeah, So it kind of begs the
question like when do when is itacceptable? You and I both say October?
But yeah, I mean the onlything that I like about Costco doing

(13:52):
this now is that you can gointo your Costco and get that stuff and
be done with it, so whenthe holidays roll around, you're good to
go because you've done your shopping alreadyfor the decorations and the wrapping paper.
Costco gets a pass. I thinkCostco gets a pass on these types of
things because it's a it's a wholesale, like the club you're part of.
They kind of just they sell thecraziest things in there sometimes. But

(14:15):
it's yeah, I mean, youcan buy a coffin there, or you
can buy a Christmas paper. Butit's weird. Luck, it's weird to
shop for wrapping paper for the holidaysand ribbons when you're wearing flip flops and
shorts. Right, it's a weirdthing. Think of how much time you're
saving later on in the year youdon't have to worry about brow Well,
if you're like strolling down your localgrocery store and those decorations come out that

(14:37):
I think it is well, thateven feels weird. I think Costco gets
a pass because it's Costco. Peopleexpect this of Costco. Like you said
so, but how do you feelabout holiday decorations coming out early? Like
when when do you think it's okaythat we start talking Holidays season again on
a day when it's going to beover one hundred degrees in most cities in
the Bay Area. Eight seven sevennine to eight to one oh nine eight

(15:00):
one. Our iHeartRadio app a greatway to send us a message. It
takes just a couple seconds. It'ssuper easy to use. When you're listening
to the Breeze on the app, you'll see a microphone button right next to
the play button. You'll find it. If you push that button, it'll
give you a countdown. You canrecord a message and it comes to us
instant. Yeah, super super easy. It is a Tuesday. I want
to I want to declare today atalkback Tuesday. Okay, Court, if

(15:22):
you've never done a talkback, letTuesday, this Tuesday, Tuesday, Today,
Tuesday, okay the first day thatyou do that talk back all right,
and be here at eight to fifty. We are going to be commercial
free here on the Breeze. Wedo this every weekday morning to start out
your day. Whatever you have goingon today, maybe you're just staying in
and staying cooler. Maybe you're headingout to Costco. Oh, yeah,
have the Breeze on that. Christmaswrapping ninety eight minutes, NonStop, commercial

(15:46):
free, relaxing favorites. We'll doit right at eight fifty. Here Peter
Satara with Amy Grant on the MorningBreeze. It's eight oh nine. Good
morning, It's Carolyn and Court.I was talking last hour about the fact
that I went shopping for the Tshirt that I saw that I loved,
and I got to the store andfound out they only have the shirts and
men's sizes, which fit very differenton a woman's body than a man's body.

(16:10):
Sure, I much prefer the women'scut, but whatever, I like
this shirt so much, I'm like, Okay, i'll buy the men's cut.
It'll be fine. But I didn'tknow what size to buy. So
the sales associate that I was workingwith said, you look like a men's
large, which was hard to hear. First time you'd ever heard that said
to you right to my face.Yeah, yeah, no, that was
hard to hear. And I lookedat a shirt and thought, I held

(16:32):
it up and went, there's noway this is doesn't Typically women's sizes when
they're going when you're going up toit, when you're going to a men's
size, you go down. That'swhat I would think too, but the
girl swore, She's like, I'vebeen doing this a long time, trust
me. Yeah, it will shrink. Okay. I held it up and
went, this is going to belike a dress on me. But I'm
gonna trust this woman. I tookit home, I washed it, I

(16:55):
dried it, and it looks likea dress on me. It's way too
big. So now I don't knowwhat to do with the shirt. And
I love it. But what doyou do? What do you know?
And have you ever had this happenedto you? Eight seven seven nine eight
one oh nine eight one Sandy andAlameda, Good morning, Carolyn. If
you want to buy a shirt, try it on, or take it home
and don't wash it, and thentry it on so you can return it.

(17:18):
That's what I should have done.I should have tried it on there
in the store and just said there'sno way. Right, here's the plan.
I'm going to lose a lot ofweight and then that men's large.
This is perfect. Do you likesnoopy and woodstock on the front of your
shirt? Okay? Perfect? Thatworks out? Then? Yeah? That
worked out good? Yeah? Allright, take youre you guys. You
two see you later. Sandy.I think the size issue happens a lot

(17:41):
more these days because people order onlineway more than they used to. Ordering
online, you never know sizes,It's so true. But in the in
store you think you'd figure it out, you would think. But like I
held the shirt up and looked atit and went, I don't know how
much she thinks this is gonna shrink. But you could hear me out on

(18:03):
this. You could go back tothe store, track her down in no
way, I don't remember he confronther about it. No, that is
not my style, no way,all right, I don't remember what she
looks like. It all happened sofast. I'm just stuck with a men's
large snoopy and woodstock shirt that's supercute. But yeah, is now an
I count for me? So ifyou've had something like this happen, we'd
love to hear your story. Eightseven seven nine eight one oh nine eight

(18:26):
one. Here's something you can do. You can send us a message with
our iHeartRadio app. Use the talkbackmic to get that message to us when
it's convenient for you. Maybe you'rebusy, you got luck going on this
morning. Yeah, it happens toa lot of people. The best people
have a lot going on, yes, so we make it very easy for
you with our iHeartRadio app. Sendthat message. Our app is free in
your app store or ninety eight oneThe Breeze dot com. It's the Morning

(18:48):
Breeze with Carolyn and Cort. Iwent shopping the other day to buy this
one shirt. In particular, theyonly had it in men's sizes. The
saleswoman said, you need a men'slarge, which turned out to not be
true, which I thought, butI still bought the shirt at her recommendation.
And now I'm stuck with the shirtthat I love, but it doesn't
fit right. Michelle in Antioch, take it back and make sure you speak

(19:11):
to the same associate that sold itto you and tell her I took it
home, I washed it, Idried it. It's a dress. I
want a shirt. It's a dress, Michelle, You and I are on
the same page on this one.I am sorry. You know my blood
pressure went up when I heard that. Now you take it back, and

(19:33):
then you get what you think.I love that you're more passionate about this
than I am. And it's myshirt. Give me the shirt. I'll
take care of it. I wasgoing to say let's just have Michelle take
care of it. Not a problem.
