Speaker 1 (00:00):
That's all the people that live there. It was like
a party every day.

Speaker 2 (00:03):
It was just a cook house, and I was like,
where's Steven you.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
Welcome to the podcast Appetite for Distortion, episode number five
hundred and sixty three. My name is Brando, and here
she is the Rocket Queen.

Speaker 4 (00:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Hello, miss Adrianna Smith and her mom Diane.

Speaker 4 (00:27):
Hi.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Hi, how are you both?

Speaker 1 (00:30):
Excellent?

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Thanks for having us.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
Where are we located? Unless it's a secret location if
you don't mind me asking.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
Secret secret town of Palm Springs, California, Ia.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
Okay, okay, see it's I wanted to feel like I'm
West Coast for you, so I don't know if you noticed,
I have a California Angels hat old School.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
Well, thank you very much. Yeah, California, but I love
the East Coast, so don't be sad.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Okay. And then then I got my I got it
off his website, the Ricky Rockman's House. I don't know
if you were back there, but visited a few times.
What a great place, the old School. I know, I'm stuck,
a poser, I don't know, or a fan, whatever you
want to call me. It's the old school. Gray sweatshirt
of that Axel Warren famously. Anyway, Adrianna Smith, forgive my

(01:18):
poor singing introduction. Uh, just welcome to the podcast. Of
course you may know Adriana's voice from Rock and Queen,
that voice which we will get into that story in
a bit. Uh. And I want to get into because
we hear mainly for the music, not just Rock and
Queen music, but to talk about your music. So I

(01:39):
don't know too, what do you want to talk about first?
Because there the obvious is people want to hear the story,
and we know the story, we'll get into it. Or
do you want to talk about your music first? I'm
going to leave that up to you. But your mom's here,
I know she may not stay the whole time. What
part of the story do you want to.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Let's focus on her first? What questions do you have
for mom?

Speaker 3 (01:58):
Well, I learned she's off the air the she's eighty four,
so Mazeltov, if I may say that here from Queens,
New York, congratulations, happy birthday. And when is your birthday?
I said, happy birthday, even for being eighty four.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
My birthday is in September. Do you want to know
the day?

Speaker 3 (02:13):
I do because I'm a September, baby, So I want
to know, oh you are?

Speaker 2 (02:17):
So? Is she all right?

Speaker 4 (02:19):
My rocket queen is? She's Adrona is September of the fifth.
I'm the September of the twenty.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
Second, September the eighth.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
Okay, I am a cusp baby.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Oh are all virgos virgo?

Speaker 4 (02:33):
I'm virgo libra.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Okay, yeah, no, I'm a virgo as well. So I'll
get that we're here, We're meant to be together. That's conversation.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
True, it's true.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
I love that. And also I learned Diane that you're
a dance teacher. You were a dance teacher, right.

Speaker 4 (02:49):
I was a Yes, I was a dance teacher. At
fourteen years old. I was teaching ballroom to pay for
my ballet cap and acrobatic lessons. So I taught at
the Silverado Ballroom in San Diego at fourteen. And then

(03:12):
I became an Argentine tango dancer. I ran in high
school art Link Letter dance school. I was a manager
of Art Link Letter Dance Schools in Chula Vista. Okay,
So then when I had my children, I ran into

(03:37):
the people. I mean, I kept dancing, you know, I
kept going and doing ballroom dancing and going to all
the events and all, and I ran into my dance
partner that I had a wife and they divorced and
I ended up doing exhibition Argentine Danko dances at dance competition.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
Well, see that we have a lot in common. We're
all virgos. And I told you off the air my wife,
who is currently playing legos in the background. I guess
this thing speaking about things going on in the background,
but it's a three year old here playing legos with
my wife. She's a dance teacher here in Forest Hills.
Queen's okay, ages three to high school, ballet, tap, hip hop,

(04:24):
all of that. So we're discussing as my son is
starting school, we had to teach him. Teach him dance. Yeah,
teach him dance. So that's kind of a nice segue.
You must be so influenced. But I mean your mom's.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
S And when I was, when I was in U
high school, I did swing dancing to be able to
I would we would my partner and I he taught
me how to do daugio, so you know, all the

(04:58):
lifts and all, and so we would do swing dancing
to pay for my bullfight trips for your bullfighting trips.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Yeah, her best friend was a female bullfright fighter.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
She lived in Mexico City for five years.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
My mom packed up and left.

Speaker 4 (05:18):
No a year and a half.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Oh, I thought it was fine.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
Oh it was a year and a half. I lived
with I live with the band Riero that Carloso Russo
would not go on to a bullfight without Ricardo Aguilar
and his airline postess wife moved to Mexico City, so
we lived Vivian. I lived with him and she was

(05:42):
going we were going to bullfights all over Mexico.

Speaker 2 (05:45):
Okay, and then she ended up being my dance teacher.
I started dance at three years old.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
That that segues into you know, because there was music always,
always different kinds of music, full, different kinds of music,
you know, tap ballet, jazz. There was always music. And
it was during the seventies, you know, really when I

(06:14):
was growing up. I mean I was born in the
sixties and late sixties. But yeah, a lot of music
always around. She always liked the Rolling Stones better than
the Beatles, in case you're going to ask, but I
love the Beatles, and uh yeah, I mean it just
always was now kind of a creative environment in that ring.

(06:36):
Oh she's saying that now. But she loved the Begi's
let's get let's get.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
Over the over.

Speaker 5 (06:41):
Like that.

Speaker 4 (06:44):
And I loved her brow Purton, the Tawanna brass, and
I love very whitey blue rolls, blue rolls.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
Okay, there you go see, and it all again ties
into together. Harrison has both a rolling Stone shirt. He
is an Abbey Road shirt. Of course he has a
guns and Roads his shirt. All these little things where
we're as parents were influencing him. So actually, Diana, can
you can you tell us a little bit about little Adriana?
You know, like, what kind of a did she? Because

(07:17):
we were talking about her album. Was she very musical? Was
she trying to dance like you?

Speaker 4 (07:21):
Was she?

Speaker 3 (07:22):
What kind of a girl was she?

Speaker 4 (07:25):
She started walking out of the womb. Okay, she was
walking and running by the time she was ten months old.
She was what you call precocious, never still okay, always
on her feet.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
I'm still moving around all over.

Speaker 4 (07:46):
The y and smart, you know, I mean, she's probably
one of the geniuses that's unknown. Do you know what
I'm saying?

Speaker 2 (07:58):
Wow, she.

Speaker 4 (08:01):
Used it toward a lot of things that she got
started getting in trouble in her teens like most people.
And we lived in a place called Benita as the
suburb of San Diego with my son and myself, and
I actually had an alcoholic husband that he started abusing

(08:28):
the kids and I left. I made him bye bye,
and I was not welcomed into church or anything else
in those days.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
A rocket queen herself in a way, well, she was
like the Harper Valley Pta, you know that song. My
mom was beautiful go just she still is, you know,
and other people.

Speaker 4 (09:03):
Around because I was, I kept closed forever.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
She really did, and she showed me sort of like
the importance of you know, just how you're appearing in
public and how to have manners. And you know, I
definitely know how not to have manners because of having them,
you know. So yeah, the trouble she's talking about sort

(09:29):
of that was rebellion of sorts towards you know.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
Me, the standard. You know, the standard.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
You know, you're gonna get married to BMW billy and
have two point five kids and you know, live in
this suburbian heaven, which was sort of hell, you know,
because everybody was entitled and you know, upper middle.

Speaker 4 (09:57):
Class and I was broke out the term.

Speaker 2 (10:01):
Yeah, and we were there like you know, or or
it was sort of you know, a.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Farm, a farm setting.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
We were in the first track housing, you know, first
builds in an area, so there was a lot of
dairy farms. So it was always sort of a contrary. Well, yeah,
it was for when your kid running around getting spiders
and you know, you know, doing rafts on stagnant ponds

(10:31):
and fish. You know, I'd get in so much trouble
for that. You know, my dad when he was still around,
was you know, but yeah, I mean, I.

Speaker 3 (10:40):
Mean you're you're running around then. I mean, it's it's
so it's such a different world today. But the parallel is,
you know, the family we're talking to you. My family's
in the background. You're with your family. And I like
setting the stage with your relationship because just before we
got started, you know, obviously, uh, Adriana, Adriana, you you're
familiar the guns and Roses guys. That's more than seeing

(11:02):
the obvious. But your mom knew them as well. So
I would love to know how the first of her
viewpoint of when the gene r guys came into your
into your life like they obviously weren't famous yet at all.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
So I.

Speaker 4 (11:19):
Went into business. I mean I always was in some time,
sort of sales.

Speaker 2 (11:24):
No, he's asking about when did you first meet the
Gate the guns Roses.

Speaker 1 (11:29):
Oh, wondered I first did they come into your world?

Speaker 4 (11:32):
Oh my god? How old was I you were?

Speaker 1 (11:36):
I was in my nineteen so you were like thirty something.

Speaker 4 (11:40):
I was in twenty seven. I had you at twenty five,
so twenty five, thirty five, forty five. I was in
my forties.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
There actually is a picture somewhere floating around where I'm
on the phone and Slash is sitting there and Steven
looking at me.

Speaker 1 (12:00):
I was calling my mom. It was like Easter or something,
and those guys were there.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
But I got the first time there.

Speaker 4 (12:09):
Yeah, she met them when she was working in LA
and I met Steven and he was He got on
the phone and I'm telling you what, he was the
sweetest kid. He was before they were doing drugs, I think,

(12:34):
I think was I.

Speaker 1 (12:37):
Yeah, we were always doing drugs.

Speaker 4 (12:38):
Okay, I didn't know. See, I had no idea because
I didn't do drugs.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
It was just normal.

Speaker 4 (12:46):
And so I was a teach, totaler. I didn't have
my I didn't drink wine and tae when in my thirties,
so you know.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
And then remember when Stephen and and Ron Ronnie Schneider,
I don't know, he's an unspoken hero.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
That was Steven's drum tech the hummus.

Speaker 4 (13:11):
Okay, I made them chili one night, okay. And when
Adron was living with me and I was, I was
drunk as hell. I had two glasses of wine and
I'm drunk, you know, and so I said, I'm drunk.
How much how much of you had to drink two
glasses of wine?

Speaker 2 (13:31):
Yeah? That was the night that Guns N' Roses played
the San Diego Sports Arena, and I think it was
either Sound Card. I think it was Sound Garden that
opened up for them. And then uh, they Stephen and
Ronnie came. That was Steven's best friend and my best friend.
And then they came back over and stayed the night

(13:53):
at my mom's house, and there was some other person
tag along and then they raided your potstash that it
was like twenty years old.

Speaker 4 (14:02):
I went in. When I pulled up my car into
the driveway, I turned it off and I look over
to the side and I had this faith plastered. Do
you remember that it's Stephen My driver's side window.

Speaker 3 (14:21):
Smashed up against the window.

Speaker 4 (14:23):
I was Steven kissing my window. Nice How I met.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
Him, I'll how you have an introduction?

Speaker 4 (14:33):
That was his introduction to me, and I forever loved him.
I mean, I know he was an idiot, but in
some ways, but we all are, you know.

Speaker 3 (14:46):
I was just about I was thinking that, aren't we all?
In some ways? I am?

Speaker 4 (14:50):
And I've always been or tried to be positive about
the negative. You know what I'm saying, I do. If
you on the pods on the negative, you're not going
to have a very happy life.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
You know, You're right. It's a daily because the secondary
obviously Guns of Roses is the main theme, my secondary
theme of this podcast is mental health. So those are
the kind of conversations while I'd like to talk about,
uh so if we can to bounce off that, but
I guess we might have to take a few steps
back first, Adriana, when did you first meet the Guns
of Roses? Because it got me thinking about how your

(15:29):
your approach and your thought about the song is. And
we'll get obviously get into So.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
I was I was going through a really weird transition.

Speaker 2 (15:39):
I had moved in with a friend, Adriana Barbour, who
also lived with a girl named Sandy so so HeLa Rahimi,
a Persian gal, and they were up off North Fuller,
I think, And so I was staying on the couch
and you know, we were all working at the Seventh

(16:03):
Veil and Adriana had the to Adriana's right double, Adriana
Adriana bor Bor Adriana Smith.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
I get a little confused. I've never claimed to be
a GNR expert, so yeah, helped me clear that up.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
So she really liked Duff, like Barbour was, had a
crush on Duff, and she had this friend Venice.

Speaker 1 (16:27):
Venice Valley and.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
Barbour, I mean, you didn't have cell phones and stuff,
so you were just literally like it was the Sunset Strip.
You were just literally walking up and down and there
would be everybody out there, you know, every night that
they could be out there, passing out flyers or doing whatever.
They went out looking first to meet up with Slash
and Duff, I guess, and they had this big bottle

(16:54):
of Jack Daniels there and I had just gone through
a breakup with a boyfriend, Mom Purley and San Diego,
and I was like crushed, and we were miles away
from each other whatever, and I found that bottle of
Jack Daniels and I drank the whole thing. And by
the time they got back, you know, here comes these

(17:15):
two guys, these two big, hairy, scary guys, right and
these two little girls, and everybody sat down and I
was just bombed. You know, where's my Jack Daniels. I
think Slash said, like all annoyed, because obviously, you know,
that was hey, we got this Jack Daniels. And Slash
was like, you know, a fly to Honey for the

(17:37):
Jack Daniels. Literally, you know, it was like that. And uh,
I'm like, well, if that's all it takes to get
you over to some girl's house, you don't even know it.
And I was just being really belligerent, and I was like,
what are you gonna do?

Speaker 4 (17:53):
Kick my house?

Speaker 1 (17:54):
You know, And I was just a belligerent.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Then I was telling them to put me to bed,
tuck me in, and you know, like just took over
their date, took over their date. Barbour was kind of
like she knows it's Smith, you know. And then I
mean Venice, I kinda made an enemy.

Speaker 1 (18:11):
For a minute with her, but yeah, that's where I
first met him.

Speaker 2 (18:17):
And then there was a night where Adriana Barbour was
We were going to the Catouse and it was off
Highland at the time, I think still or maybe it
was down oh whatever. That other place was down San
Vicente or somewhere. Anyways, Oh, you got to meet Steven.

(18:38):
You got to meet Steven. This guy's perfect for you.
And I'm like, I don't want to meet any guy.
You know guys, you know, like I was at that
state and I used to just get bombed. It was
what I did. It was how I dealt and coped.
So I'm bombed in the back of some van that
was driving us around somebody and we're going home and

(19:00):
he jumps in and just immediately sits on my lap.
You're Smith, right, you're Smith. And I'm like, no, my
name is Adriana. And he's like, I can't remember that.
Your name's Smith, right, And I'm like.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
Dude, get away from me.

Speaker 2 (19:14):
And he was just like my mom's saying so happy
and nice and just like come on.

Speaker 1 (19:19):
Don't be stuck up, don't be stuck up.

Speaker 2 (19:21):
And it's like, how in the hell are you saying that?
To me right now, like I want to kill you,
you know, and he was just Stephen has a personality.
He's really funny, you know, he's like really warm person,
really happy, outgoing person, or it used to be anyways.
And yeah, that's where I met those guys. And then

(19:43):
one by one they were all kind of pulled it.
I guess.

Speaker 1 (19:47):
I sort of.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
Went over to the Hell House, which was West's house
where Dell James lived and stuff actually lived there under
the table they put a sheet around the table that
was Duff's room, yeah something, and I literally just walked
in there, got my gumption about me, and I was

(20:13):
like I walked in and everybody was kind of looking
at me. That's all the people that lived there. It
was like a party every day. It was just a
cook house. And I was like, where's Steven And they
were like, we don't know, you know, and I was
walked out. So in that way I met those guys.
Then it was just one person after another getting pulled,

(20:35):
you know, sooner than later, you just sort of meet everybody.
It was like a family, if that makes sense.

Speaker 3 (20:42):
That was actually the way. I don't know if you
knew Juliette's Ema, who dated Izzy for a bit. She
was a former guest in the podcasts. I'm just bringing
her up because she said it's like a family. So
that's just it's nice to hear that. You're not the
only one to say that's what the way that it
was back then, I guess to ride the wave of

(21:04):
the conversation, oh, we know what it was like to
when you first met Stephen and how he was kind
of hit a personality. Did you ever like I guess
the story behind Rocket Queen. Were you ever like an
item or he was just like a guy in your
life or was he ever aficial? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (21:21):
No, I mean Stephen and I were dating, and but
that doesn't mean shit. Really. Stephen, you know, was a
bloody hale. You know, he liked it. He liked he
liked attention, and he would I mean, he just loved

(21:45):
having sex with people. So he just was doing that
a lot, you know. And it was not don't let
me find out because that's not the way I roll
sort of thing, you know. And so when I found
that out sort of by me and Gabby, my other

(22:07):
best friend, Gabby and Adriana showing up in a cab
with a bunch of groceries going come on, come over,
and there's some other girl over there at his house. Yeah,
I smashed an ice cream cone in his face. So
that was it. And then it started getting you know,
it started getting like that's that was the whole nature

(22:32):
of why I went to New York to sort of
piss him off, you know what I mean. And it
it was just a growing thing like am I your
girlfriend or am I not your girlfriend? Because if I'm
not your girlfriend, then get the fuck out, you know,
get out of my house, get off my couch. Stop
telling me what to do, you know, like you know,
you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
I do know. I mean, it's just kind of like that.

Speaker 2 (22:55):
It's kind of fair, right, No.

Speaker 3 (22:58):
I do. I understand some people say it was a
different time, Banton, and there should be an understanding. I've
never been that. I've never been that guy.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
Uh, but you know, everybody shared everybody also, so it
was like, you know.

Speaker 3 (23:14):
Well, I guess still go along the same lines.

Speaker 4 (23:16):
Let's hear about how you became the rocket cru Well,
that's where we're getting to.

Speaker 3 (23:22):
That's the whole build up. I know, some people just
want to in today's world of TikTok. Don't worry everyone,
I'll make clips of this. Those what people can get
to the story.

Speaker 4 (23:30):
I know I know the whole story because she called
me from New York.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
So let's hear your story. Let's hear your version, Diana,
that's what's When did you find out that your your
daughter uh has been permanently enshrined?

Speaker 4 (23:45):
She called me from New York after after she had
done what she'd done, and she was a little bit
remorseful because she didn't really care about I mean, she
a lot liked so, but he was not who she wanted,
you know what I'm saying. But she said, Mom, I

(24:08):
decided I got mad at Stephen, and so we were
going to do Axel was going to sing the song
and it had to have some background noise. So we
had sex and I started moaning on it for him.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
That's exactly what.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
She said.

Speaker 4 (24:32):
She said, now it's on the recording. I'm the moaner
on on his new record. And I said, what you know,
And I said, that's not something a mom wants to hear.
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
I'm waiting for that to come out.

Speaker 6 (24:51):
I know the awkwardness, but I said, she said, She said,
I don't know whether they're going to tell him anybody
about it, but I remember that they came right in
and had her sign a disclaimer that she wouldn't take
any money from it, so she never got a dime.

Speaker 4 (25:13):
Oh that is a cruel thing.

Speaker 3 (25:17):
Yeah, no, that that is.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
That's Kevin Records and they're not in business anymore. And
that's the music industry. You're either informed or you're not.
You know, and I don't know. Money and music. It's
such a weird thing, isn't it. I mean, isn't it.
It's so well, I don't know.

Speaker 3 (25:40):
Well, it's like I could go on, well, it's like
and I'll turn around here. But it's just to bounce
off that off air conversation we had, it says as
I approached the tenth anniversary of this podcast too, you're
talking about it, maybe you want to start one in
the future, and you're asking me about it. I'm like,
I don't. I have some really nice people that donate,
but it's really not a lot. I'm most of it
on social media. It's really hard. You need to have

(26:02):
a passion for it. So it's the same thing with music,
you know, That's how I look at it whether whatever
you do. I think of like stand up comedies like that.
I mean, anything that's like I kind of off the
beaten path job. It's kind of a it's a hard
thing to do. You need to have a passion for it.
I guess.

Speaker 4 (26:20):
Speaking of passion, well, I could say I don't have
anything against Axel or anything. I have it against the
people that took advantage of a young woman that knew
no better. You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (26:40):
That's awesome, that's.

Speaker 2 (26:42):
Kind of awesome, because yeah, I'll agree with that, but
it's all in the past.

Speaker 4 (26:47):
And and everybody is good.

Speaker 3 (26:52):
Well, I mean, if anything, it's again it's bringing attention
to this your music, which is kind of know what
I can you know, I guess it's a.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
Late yeah, I mean, because who's going to look at
my music? You know, it's actually a gift. So in
the end, and plus, you know, I probably would be dead,
you know, if I would have gotten a bunch of
money and being like the self defeat ist type of
person that I end up being when I get really
you're talking about mental health, when I get emotionally distraught,

(27:25):
you know, or triggered to that degree, you know, having
been raised under the Cinderella syndrome, you know, and all
of it.

Speaker 1 (27:33):
Like, so I appreciate that part of what she said.

Speaker 7 (27:36):
It.

Speaker 1 (27:38):
Yeah, I probably would be dead. There's a lot of
people that are so I would have gone down and
blaze a glory, but you know, would be.

Speaker 3 (27:49):
Different, I think, because when people talk about Izzy, I
think the same thing. I think. If you like, if
he stayed in Guns of Roses, he'd be dead. Guns
of Roses didn't break up and slash. I don't know.
I think a lot of things happened the way, and
unfortunately I know, and unfortunately your your mom mentioned that
she knew West Arkeene, we still lost some people along
the way. I always want to Oh.

Speaker 4 (28:09):
My god, my favorite, my favorite saying is is I
had a guy That was when Jacquellaine opened up his
fitness I had a jewelry counter outside of a famous
restaurant in San Diego, and I owned a part of

(28:30):
it and find jewelry and I had people coming up buying,
you know, a little kiosk. And it was the second
the beginning of the late seventies early eighties, so it
was really a good time for me to get into
that business, and a guy that worked for Jack Laine

(28:55):
came up to me and he said, you look like
a black cod is your head? He said, let me
tell you about mister Lulaine. He gave me a saying,
and I'm gonna share it with you, and I don't
want you to ever forget it because it'll change your life.
I'm going to tell you two things, This too shall

(29:16):
pass and everything happens for a reason, sure, and that
I live by those Sure.

Speaker 3 (29:25):
No, it's you need to because we do reflect on
the past, good and bad. I know. I know here
on this Appetite for Distortion podcast we talk about a
lot of things in the past, but I like to
bring up the good things along with the bad because
it all depends and it's all the lens.

Speaker 7 (29:39):
You know.

Speaker 3 (29:40):
I was in therapy for a long time. I only
stopped recently because of my son. I want to go
back to it because it's it's hard being a dad.
Before we because again, we're here to talk about your music.
But I know this, I'm not going to believe it.
I'm not going to beat down the point of the
whole rock queen and a couple other questions. I guess
I have. How did the stories that have gone out

(30:02):
there that it was it was Axel's idea, And what
was your relationship with him? I guess at the time
because you said you liked him, but I.

Speaker 2 (30:09):
Mean I really liked Axel. It was, you know, we
have a super spark.

Speaker 1 (30:18):
It's like we think alike in a way, you know.

Speaker 2 (30:21):
And that was something that Slash was always like, Okay, Smith,
You're coming to New York, you know, like I made
my own way. You know, all the strippers at the
Seventh Vale pitched in and gave me outfits. And then
I knew a girl in New York that I'd known
from living there a year before. He was saying, you know,

(30:46):
I don't want you to get in like trouble with
Axel on one night, you know, and it's like, because
we just have a spark, and we just disappeared and
got on a on a train and started riding around
the city, you know that kind of thing, and going
all over the place. I liked him a lot. I
liked Excel a lot. It I think that he had

(31:11):
some major plans for that tour, and you know it
was proposed to me, you know, like to do certain
you know, things like go out on tour with them,
you know, and I just couldn't do it because of Steven.

(31:35):
In my relationship with Steven at that point, you know,
I just felt like I was sort of I was confused,
let's put it. I was, what was like nineteen, I mean,
I was confused.

Speaker 1 (31:49):
You know.

Speaker 2 (31:49):
I drank a lot, you know, I did a lot
of other substances. I was nineteen, you know. I mean, girl,
at least me where I come from, I'm always looking
for that ring on it, you know, I'm looking for that.
I'm looking for that. I love you.

Speaker 1 (32:07):
You're the only one, darling, Darling, you know.

Speaker 2 (32:10):
And this was sort of like the antithesis of that, correct,
I mean, I mean that's even though I was a stripper,
I had good family, good moral values, so to speak,
you know what I'm saying. And then so I always
had a black and white sort of life anyways, and
I was just very confused about it all with no guidance.

(32:34):
I didn't have a marketing team, I didn't have, you know,
anything on for me, So I didn't know what to do.
And I could only.

Speaker 1 (32:45):
Not screw Steven over, but I'd already.

Speaker 2 (32:47):
Screwed him over. So yeah, I don't know. My choices
were just try not just screw him over, but I did.

Speaker 3 (32:56):
What about when you heard the song, and I mean
Steven had play it night after night and he seemed
to he seemed to have no issue playing it.

Speaker 2 (33:04):
I guess, oh, well leave me, I'm sure. And then
on stage every night with Axel there was got it.
You know, you gotta understand the dynamics. I mean, if
some guy screwed your girlfriend, you know, and you're you're
the drummer. I mean I would think that he'd want
to throw drums.

Speaker 3 (33:25):
Maybe he hid it well under that smile.

Speaker 2 (33:27):
I guess mine, you know, like that's mine like caveman issues,
you know, not to mention that. Uh yeah, I mean
that that had to be a horrible hell. But you know,
one thing I know about Stevie is that, uh he
really put everything that he had into that band and
into making those records and worked so hard for it

(33:52):
and wasn't going to let something like that get in
the way of it.

Speaker 1 (33:58):
You know what I mean. It was more than.

Speaker 2 (34:02):
Anything to him that he's still playing. You know, it's
like he that's his life, that's his that is his passion,
that's yeah, people that can survive and like give up
everything and live on nothing and live in a shoe

(34:22):
box and you know, pick cigarettes out of the gutter,
you know, or whatever. It is. Just to make sure
that they're like focused on what they want and are
trying to achieve. I mean that is sort of the
nature of that whole band. So I don't know the

(34:45):
rift and everything like that. That's kind of crazy to me.
I mean, I understand now everybody makes their choices, but
I mean at the time when they were trying to
pop through and break in and everything, they were all
really really focused, you know, drugs and all.

Speaker 1 (35:03):
They were all really on it, just working towards the
same goal.

Speaker 3 (35:09):
I'm assuming you're not contact with any maybe Slash or
or any of them still.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
Slash's girlfriends eternally hate me. Okay, Okay, I guess the
eternally hate me.

Speaker 4 (35:22):
Don't know why he talked to Slash for a long time. Yeah,
I went to a show that he played in San Diego.
He had her come to a show in San Diego,
so uh and Stephen and her Uh. He invited her

(35:45):
to show out in and Rancho Mirage and in Palm Springs.

Speaker 2 (35:50):
But we don't really talk, you know what I mean.
It's like they have different lives and they got to
do what they need to do to you know, be
okay with their significant other, and it always comes down
to the same old thing in relationships. I hope this
isn't the way yours is, because God forbid. It sucks
for the kid because they get shaped by it. But

(36:12):
you know, love isn't like a possession. It's not a
commandment for the other person to follow. It's like a
mutual freaking respect thing. And honestly, if somebody is disrespecting
the person that's your friend or that you care about
and you're trying to please your significant other and not

(36:32):
speak to that person for that, you know, they're just
as much to blame. So it's not just oh, his
girlfriends hate me, his wife hates me. It's like, you know,
you don't how many balls. So it's all good, you know,
it's all it's okay to oki. I understand, I understand.
I was like that for a long time.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
You know.

Speaker 4 (36:51):
We went to the concert out here together and the
first thing Steven said, I got up and waved at him,
and he invited us back to go back and see
him backstage. You know, he said, he said, oh hi, mamas,

(37:11):
you know.

Speaker 2 (37:12):
And then he never came and got us.

Speaker 1 (37:14):
And I said, mom, you know that's the way that goes.

Speaker 4 (37:17):
And I said, but poor guy, I know, he probably
had somebody back there that said, don't bring her back.

Speaker 2 (37:24):
Everybody thinks I'm going to destroy hotel rooms and ruined
the well and fuck their fucked their significant other, you know,
man or woman. It's like I'm just a ravenous god, insatiable, violent,
destructive whle you know, cheers that babies.

Speaker 3 (37:44):
Oh boys, he's like some water right now. But yeah, exactly,
I'm sorry. I'm sorry to hear that. But I mean
it's somebody, I mean, my our relations.

Speaker 6 (37:55):
You know what.

Speaker 4 (37:56):
He still cares about her.

Speaker 2 (37:58):
Well, everybody still cares about you know.

Speaker 3 (38:01):
It's just say And that's the reason I bring it
up because as I'm doing the research, you know, for
this interview, because you have a lot of music out
and we're gonna make the pivot, we're going to talk
to about your new album, Adriana, I felt like.

Speaker 2 (38:13):
I should send you some links. I'm so unprepared, and
I do apologize for that.

Speaker 3 (38:19):
That's okay, because I wasn't able to listen to it
because the big thing is that this is limited to
how many? This is limited to.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
Three hundred, three hundred.

Speaker 3 (38:28):
That's insane. Yeah, so I want to get to that
before to that. And also this nice little uh preamble
from from del James. There was a song that you
wrote a few years ago, and this is where is
this all my my my research is on different tabs.

Speaker 2 (38:43):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (38:44):
So this was a song called come find Me that
you wrote two axl Rose so and yeah, so this
was around I guess the Chinese democracy time, and he
didn't have it out yet. So you still want to
connect with these these guys, you know, you have a
history together there of course.

Speaker 2 (39:01):
There you know what it's like, you know what I mean,
they're distant relatives at this point, you know, I said family,
So now it's.

Speaker 1 (39:09):
Just distant relatives. People's lives change.

Speaker 2 (39:12):
I don't see my brother every day, you know, and
he lives an hour away. It's like I don't see
my daughter, she's right in la. We don't even talk
every day. But there's like that philosophy, right, I don't
know some philosophy anyways, It's just basically if your friends
you just pick up where you left off. You know,

(39:33):
life goes on, it goes in different different directions, you know.
Like I said, I left San Diego almost a year
ago and haven't been back, and there's still people that
I talk to, you know often, So I feel like
it's the same type of thing.

Speaker 3 (39:51):
You know, maybe maybe one day because within the interview,
you're like, oh, I just want to see if I
can get it out there, so if I can help
at this sense to me. But I mean, it's just Dell.

Speaker 1 (40:03):
Is Axel's road manager, Dell.

Speaker 2 (40:07):
You know, I know that Axel knows what I'm doing
if he wants to know. I know that anybody knows
what I'm doing if they want to know. That's why
I really don't don't have any kind of like I
don't have any kind of protective barrier if you will,
like you know, uh, there's no super secret anything because

(40:29):
you know, God for anybody can just grab my IP
address right now and figure it out if they want to.
Superstalker could be here the day, you know, which is scary,
you know.

Speaker 1 (40:42):
But and sometimes I wonder a little bit paranoid. Maybe
I'm like.

Speaker 2 (40:46):
Well, you know, who's following me? You know, what is
going on? Is this something? You know? What what have
I done?

Speaker 1 (40:54):
You know?

Speaker 2 (40:54):
Did I piss somebody off? I mean, because you look
at some of the stuff that happens, you know to
people like I know, Wes was a drug addict, you know,
big deal. But he died and it's just like, I mean,
was somebody vindictive? Was somebody after him? You know what

(41:16):
went on? You know what I'm saying. And we still
were close when he passed away.

Speaker 3 (41:21):
So there's some weird stories about I've actually spoken about
Wes with a few people, his bandmates from the Outpatients
and recently his uh, his manager from the Outpatients, Dan
Economy uh. And just the fact that he was sober
at the time and he was just making missed. They
wouldn't give him the right medication for a burn because

(41:43):
he used to be an addict. And I forget if
it was Greg buck Walter or James Hunting that said
they found when they found him, they found like rose
petals and stuff, and they're like nobody else was home,
Like how would that happen? So there's a weird I
don't know. I don't like to go down those roads,
so I just try to think of the positive because
you can lose your mind going down those roads. So

(42:05):
there's obviously a lot of things that can influence the
songs that you have on this new album, which people
right now there is one hundred and ninety left in
stock as in recording this. If you go to sue
Guitars dot com, that's SiO ux Guitars dot com, it's
under Adriana, it's your LP just twenty bucks. So i'd

(42:25):
like to think you might sell out, so hopefully you
you might do more pressings. So when we just read this, this
is what Delle James, who I'm very grateful came on
this podcast actually last year. So Adriana don that's so
we're going by your middle name. I guess right, Agrian.

Speaker 2 (42:42):
That's like Facebook land. You know, I've got a million names.
Who am I?

Speaker 3 (42:48):
So I have Adriana don Smith. So Evan, how would
you want me to title this episode? I want to
make sure everybody knows who to go.

Speaker 2 (42:53):
Well, here's my whole name, like to include everything, just
in case anyone's confused.

Speaker 1 (42:58):
I was born Adriana donn On Smith.

Speaker 2 (43:01):
I was married to Philip Durgan who's passed away. He's
rocking in peace right now? So I just Adriana don Smith.
I don't know how I became that girl. But yeah,
that's a lot, a whole lot of stuff. But then again,
you know.

Speaker 3 (43:20):
Right on, my son has poor names. It's fine. So
he is well where new age. My wife, my wife,
we just share last name and it's the whole thing.

Speaker 4 (43:29):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (43:30):
Adriana don is a rock and roll survivor who is
used up to eight of her nine cat lives. Survivors
always have the best stories to tell. After years of
standing silently on the sidelines, Adriana Donn is finally letting
her voice be heard. By the way, I don't know
if you hear Harrison's voice screaming in the background.

Speaker 1 (43:48):
I hear him.

Speaker 2 (43:49):
He's beautiful.

Speaker 3 (43:50):
He's letting his voice be heard. Maybe don't make it
up here. It's like I said, speaking of things that
go on in the backgrounds, it's you have your moans.
I got my Come here, Harrison, do you want to
say hi to Adriana? Came here?

Speaker 4 (44:05):
Yes, show the delivery.

Speaker 2 (44:09):
Come here, ell.

Speaker 3 (44:14):
Hi, Hi, Hi, Hydrianna. It's a delivery. Can you say
rock rocket queen? O?

Speaker 8 (44:30):
My god?

Speaker 1 (44:31):
I love him.

Speaker 3 (44:33):
He's got themand bun right now, if anyone's watching this on.

Speaker 2 (44:35):
You, I saw that. That's so cute.

Speaker 1 (44:37):
My daughter was the rocket Princess for a while.

Speaker 2 (44:41):
That's a whole other story.

Speaker 3 (44:43):
So, Harrison, this is called Daddy's Show. His nickname, by
the way, is Baby Brownstone.

Speaker 2 (44:49):
I know you liked Baby Brownstone.

Speaker 3 (44:52):
You like that, So I don't know though he's three,
so I don't know if he's officially he's like, I
know what, we might do a radio show together. We'll
see what happens. Thank you. I appreciate that.

Speaker 2 (45:01):
Oh my gosh, he's friendly.

Speaker 3 (45:03):
Let me see so far. Let me see if I
can get through Delle's paragraph your LP. So Adriana Donn
is finally letting her voice be heard. Her self titled
debut record on Sue is an infectious, street smart variety
of different musical influences that invoke the ghosts of punk
rock past without ever being a cover band, a plagiaristic.

(45:25):
This is raw spirited independent rock music, raw raw spirited
independent rock music that comes from the heart. Adriana Down
is all about attitude and honesty, and there's plenty of
both seeping through the twelve tracks of Adriana. You can't
teach integrity. You either have it or you don't. Adriana
don is pretty much the definition of rock and roll righteousness. Again,

(45:49):
there is Del James, author, songwriter and road manager for
Guns and Roses, who wrote that for you, so less
than two hundred stock pressed on one hundred on white
vinyl with the silk screen cover. It's very tell us
about the record if you can, and I'll mute.

Speaker 2 (46:05):
My record is an amazing opportunity. Ryan Myers he sue
Sue City guitars and albums. He's got pedals, He's got
all kinds of stuff. Ryan is a music lover and
I met him through my friend Hector Pinelosa, who I

(46:26):
also played in a band within San Diego and who
helped finalize this whole project which has been sitting around
for a long time. So Hector put out an album
with Ryan, and then I had joined another band in

(46:47):
San Diego called Putting on the Fritz. I had Ghosts
in the Graveyard and I wrote all these songs myself,
and I didn't I wasn't a great player at all
at the time. I didn't feel comfortable playing, so I
always had other people and I just was a vocalist,
and then I just you know, I moved around. I
contacted Ryan when I was in putting on the Fritz

(47:11):
because I saw future for that band, and I wanted
to actually have them recorded on the vinyl you know,
Fritz is stuff. Instead, it turned out it was going
to be like a forty five or like a three
song Records thing, and I said, no, you know, I

(47:31):
want the whole Banana. I want the whole. I want
the whole. I want it to be like a book
I can put on a shelf, you know, like twenty
years from now, you'll find one in a bin at
the thrift store, you know, and somebody else will get it.
It's that's what music is to me. It's like it's
a living part of you. It's art. It goes on

(47:53):
after you're not here anymore so. And also it shows
that I can do something else besides have sex on
an album, which is an astounding feet given that it is.
I'm a female. First of all, I'm the only other
person on that album with any kind of credits.

Speaker 4 (48:16):
You know.

Speaker 2 (48:17):
That's the part. That's the part that now, knowing more
about music, that I kind of like, well, you know,
I had vocal credits I had, I had some run.

Speaker 3 (48:26):
And you didn't take You didn't want to take credit
for her for a while. So and that must have
been really confusing what to do.

Speaker 2 (48:33):
After twenty years. I just it literally didn't even know.
It was like twenty years. There was this guy, Brooke
Foreman on Facebook. He was running Steven Adler's Facebook page
or something, because Steven's not a guy on a computer
at all.

Speaker 1 (48:53):
I I was like, who is this?

Speaker 2 (48:55):
You know, I knew it wasn't Stephen. He told me,
and I go, okay, cool, that's awesome. He's like, you
should tell your story. And I'm a writer, you know,
and I'm going to give it to this magazine overseas
in England. And I said, shit, okay, and he's like, well,
it's the anniversary of Guns n' Roses too, by the way.
And I'm like, really, you know, twenty years later or something,

(49:18):
and I said, nobody's going to give a damn about
the story. You know, I'll do it so that he can,
you know, do his passion. He seems like a cool
enough guy. We later, you know, became friends. I don't
know what's going on with him now.

Speaker 3 (49:32):
But.

Speaker 2 (49:34):
Yeah, and so that's how that all that happened, How
it all got dredged back up. I wasn't looking for
any super attention or anything. Then they sent it to
another magazine. I mean, I remember just going into Barnes
and Noble. I was a drug and alcohol counselor at
the time, you know, and I'm in Barnes and Noble
and Santee and buying this, you know magazine that's talking

(49:56):
about all this. It was pretty phenomenal. I really hope
I have one of those somewhere, you know. But yeah,
I mean, that's how it all came about. And then
Mark Cantor's book was happening, and he reached out to me,
and I was like, I want a million dollars and
he's like, I don't have that budget. I was like, okay,
how about food Forever? It canners? Okay? Now, no, I

(50:21):
gave him all those pictures, you know. I guess somebody
had ran off with the money for the whole project
and smoked.

Speaker 4 (50:29):
A bunch of crock.

Speaker 2 (50:31):
That's what I heard. I could be wrong, but they
left him, you know, in the lurch for that project.
And he said, well, if you're going to do something,
you better get with it. Because there's gonna be a
lot of attention thrown our direction. And I was like great,
and so I like put together a band and I

(50:53):
wrote some songs, and that's really where it started. I'd
been kind of playing around at that time with my
ex huse been Doug Tilly, and he literally was the
one that helped me like right, like understand, you know,
put it together, compose, and he helped me do a

(51:16):
lot of that back then. And then there's a couple
songs on the album that Hector and I did. So
Hector is a fantastic musician and has tons of his
own works out and continues to play with The Avengers
if you've heard of them from San Francisco, the female
fronted punk band from the seventies. He was the bass

(51:38):
player of the Zeros, not the La Zeros, but the
Zeros from San Diego that moved to San Francisco in
nineteen seventy seven, or Mexican Kids that went all around
the world. And he plays with the Dragons and some
other other bands. He had the Baja Bugs, but he's
a seasoned musician. And then it got mixed down at

(52:00):
Link Studios in alcohol California and Ryan Uh, was just
super ecstatic to do it for me, you know, and
I was like, you know, I'm thinking about this, and
it took it took like three years to get together. Like,
as you know, I'm sort of one of those people
that always has something going on.

Speaker 3 (52:20):
So yeah, I mean, and I appreciate making time for
me because I know you do have no.

Speaker 2 (52:25):
I appreciate you having me. It's my honor.

Speaker 4 (52:29):
Thank you so much. Was a pleasure meeting you.

Speaker 3 (52:33):
Yeah, both of you. And to be honest, I didn't
This was a surprise. I didn't know I was going
to interview the both of you today. I had no idea.

Speaker 1 (52:39):
I thought i'd bring her on.

Speaker 2 (52:40):
You know. For one thing, she's co signing my life statement.
She's saying, I'm an okay individual, right, because if your
mom's sitting by you this long, you might as well.
You know, it's a good look, right, your mom's on
your side, right.

Speaker 3 (52:55):
I like it. Well, you met my son. This is
a family program. This is how correct.

Speaker 2 (53:01):
Correct And I mean she's always been there, so why
not I try.

Speaker 3 (53:08):
No, I I appreciate it. And again, this is a
pleasant surprise. And I say that happily because he was
kind of like, oh, okay, I get as long as
we got everything situated with the phone and making sure
we can get both of you and in focus, then
I was. Then I was excited. We were trying to
do some technical stuff behind the scenes, which is I
appreciate all of it, and me trying to juggle this.

Speaker 2 (53:32):
Go ahead, it's yourself, that's okay, And I will.

Speaker 1 (53:38):
That happen to everybody, please tell.

Speaker 3 (53:40):
Me so, uh, it probably does, and I will say
that it happens to me, and maybe I cut it out,
maybe I hide it really well while I did that
once actually during an interview, I.

Speaker 1 (53:51):
Just you're fine.

Speaker 3 (53:52):
Yeah, no, it was like a concert. You just find
a cup and you just let that happened one interview
many years ago. I now, I just press pause. I'm
just like, I'll be right back. So I didn't know
I was. Actually I appreciate that, and I won't keep
you too much longer, obviously.

Speaker 2 (54:05):
No, that's fine. I just want to shout out to
Dell too, because you know, I had in contacted.

Speaker 1 (54:12):
Dell and I didn't know what I was. You know,
Ryan wanted a blurb.

Speaker 2 (54:15):
He's like, now here's a chance to sell yourself, and
I'm like, you know, I feel like I'm selling chocolate
bars in high school, like by my album.

Speaker 4 (54:25):
Yeah, you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (54:27):
I feel like that with the podcast sometimes when I
ask that's why I'm just really not We talk about
that off the air too.

Speaker 2 (54:33):
Very humiliating feeling, you know, And that's not the reason.
That's not the reason that I want it. I want
people to get it and I want people to like it.
And I was doing that and getting them out there
and starting, you know, my ex husband and I, way
back in the day, started a whole website. I had
a chat room setup, you know, things to keep promoting

(54:58):
our band, Ghost in the Graveyard, which is where a
lot of those songs came from. But then I started
receiving and I don't know if this happens to you,
but probably not, because you probably weren't having sex on
an album. But you know, they started speaking horribly about
my daughter, you know, who at the time was like

(55:20):
I don't know seven, you know, and and sexual references
and you know, is she gonna turn out like me?
And all that stuff, and you know, she's turned out
better than me, let me tell you right now, But
that's because of me. And I will take credit for

(55:42):
that part, because you know, it hasn't always been an
easy road. It's it's a blessing and a curse. You know.

Speaker 1 (55:52):
You've got to understand, there's a certain amount of fame.

Speaker 2 (55:54):
Right that I have. However, it's not rich and famous,
you know, it's like famous, and that leaves you with
no protect no barrier. You don't have a bodyguard. You
don't have you know, you don't have those people around
telling you what to do and say, you know, and
so yeah, there's been some negative perceptions, I guess, but

(56:19):
I mean I don't care, you know it. I don't care.
You know, say what you want, you know, say what
you want. I got to be there. I did what
I did. I'm not ashamed of it. I never raised
my daughter to be ashamed of it. She is, though
a little. I mean, you can understand, right, Like I mean,

(56:39):
it's like all of a sudden, you say something, my
mom's the rocketquen.

Speaker 1 (56:43):
Or listen to this, Oh my god, your mom's ah,
you know whatever. Yeah, I just don't.

Speaker 2 (56:51):
I don't market that, you know, Dell told me a
few years ago, you know, stop focusing on the past,
you know, stop selling yourself as a product of your past.
And he was right, you know, like in a way,
you've got to play the hand that you know God's

(57:15):
given you. But that is my past, so there's no
reason either to block it out or forget about it.
I asked him to write that blurb for me, and
I was more.

Speaker 1 (57:29):
I was so grateful.

Speaker 2 (57:30):
I couldn't say anything about myself at this point, like I've.

Speaker 1 (57:35):
Gone through so much stuff again just.

Speaker 2 (57:38):
Getting out here and buying a new home out here,
and you know, the stuff that I've gone through like that,
you know that saying anything about myself, you know, my
esteem is like reap sometimes, you know, because I'm just
struggling through it. I'm not married, i don't have a relationship.
I've got two cats and my mom and you know,
she is eighty four, and so I'm just trying to

(58:00):
do the right thing and be around you know now,
because she doesn't have a husband either, there's no one
out here. She's definitely not an invalid as you can see,
but it's how much time do we get with the
people that we care about on the planet, you know.

Speaker 3 (58:16):
And I know that's why it was important to you
and important to me, honestly to do this interview that
you can look back on to do. And that's why
I kind of have my son involved too, because it's funny.
I think my Facebook memories hit my first interview where
I was I was holding him. It was like a
few weeks during an interview with Tommy Stinson, and of

(58:37):
course he could have went really bad, but he slept
through the entire thing. It was fine. I was like, cool,
it was pre recorded. I could have always you know,
edited whatever. I gave it a shot and it worked
out just the same thing. I gave it a shot
and this worked out. Look, you are Look, the money
thing is something else, but you are a legendary voice
on one of the if not the greatest album of

(59:01):
all time. You are part of the story that we
meet doing this talk about my favorite band for ten years.
You're a part of that story. The song itself is
is usually brought up, honestly from what I see, and
I ask people, like what their favorite song is off Appetite,
It's Rocket Queen, that's the one that comes up. It's

(59:21):
the closer. It's just an iconic song. And you know,
if you are writing your story, the past is what
it is. But you're writing your story now to speaking
think with this interview, with your music, and who knows
where this music is going to take you. So there's
still plenty more of your story to write it. It
doesn't have to be held within those what is it

(59:42):
five minutes of Rocket Queen.

Speaker 2 (59:44):
Hey, I'm proud to say that I was associated with
that time.

Speaker 1 (59:47):
There's like, it's not like one of those.

Speaker 2 (59:50):
Oh yeah, you know, was hanging out. I knew them
when kind of saying, you know, because I did. You know,
our lives have gone in different directions, and you know,
it's all good.

Speaker 1 (01:00:06):
It'll be what it's supposed to be in the end.
You know, I'm not worried about it.

Speaker 2 (01:00:12):
I I feel really respected that, you know, Dell took
the time out of his life and you know wrote
that that was that was just made me feel really good.

Speaker 1 (01:00:27):
So yeah, I've.

Speaker 2 (01:00:28):
Got a couple of friends up there that have bought
a couple of the albums.

Speaker 1 (01:00:33):
You know, I'll send you on you have some more information,
I'll send you on.

Speaker 2 (01:00:38):
Thank you for having me here, And you know, that's
really what it's all about, because I don't want to
lose what I've made, and I've made that and the
people that I was working with or whatever.

Speaker 1 (01:00:53):
Things have happened too, right, they've moved on, We've moved on.
It's a different it's a different day. There's different music
to make and so and I'm in a whole new place.
So I got to start working on that.

Speaker 3 (01:01:07):
You know, you're all right, and you sound like a
good mom, and it's the same thing. I look at
it like my dad wanted us to be better than him,
and that's the way we are. I look at my
younger brothers. I want all my younger brothers to be
better than me. I look at my son obviously be
better than me. So I mean, as long as we're
doing that, we're doing our job. I'm sure your mom

(01:01:28):
thinks about that. Is she better than me? You know,
we make mistakes. I'm gonna have to deal with his mistakes.
The only mistakes he makes right now are having a
potty related that's a whole other story.

Speaker 2 (01:01:40):
Say goodbye.

Speaker 3 (01:01:41):
It was so nice to meet you. And Diana, nice
to meet you too. You take care, hopefully if we
do this again, Adrianna, she's invited back as well.

Speaker 2 (01:01:51):
I anytime, anytime, I'd love to like get into it,
like I'm sorry, I was a little tight and nervous
at the beginning.

Speaker 1 (01:01:58):
It takes me a minute.

Speaker 3 (01:02:00):
I don't know, I understand, and I know, like if
people want to understand, it's like when Axel Rose did
the interview on VH one Classic with d g ashbro there.
Sometimes you just want somebody there that's and it's.

Speaker 2 (01:02:14):
Like, I mean, you don't see him doing a lot
of that anymore, you know, it gets it gets to
the point to where I can only imagine the way.
You know, he's still kicking field goals. Man, come on,
he's still selling out stadiums. Those guys rule. I wish
Izzy was back, and I wish Steven was back. I mean,

(01:02:37):
there isn't anything better. And they're all alive. That's the
that's that is the thing you know to note. But
I still listen to stuff. I was listening to use
your illusion, you know, both of them last night as
a matter of fact, just rocking out, man.

Speaker 1 (01:02:57):
I mean some of those Izzy classics on there.

Speaker 2 (01:02:59):
You know, like Dust and Bones in fourteen years, you
know what I mean, beating a dead Horse whatever the hell.

Speaker 3 (01:03:08):
That's they're doing dead Horse live too. Can you listen?

Speaker 2 (01:03:11):
Yes, I mean it was it was a monumental time.
And then I reflect always on the West Arkeene music
always because that music saved my life at one point.
And uh yeah, I mean it's just really and duff
is a listen to the bass refs ood God, there's

(01:03:32):
no way, there's no way to get away from it.

Speaker 1 (01:03:35):
It's like, you know, you're like, wow, that sound.

Speaker 2 (01:03:40):
You know, it's only one guy's sound. You know, like
if you can recreate that sound and use it in
another band, more power to you.

Speaker 1 (01:03:50):
But you know, it's sort of it just has a
nice bite. And then slat, I.

Speaker 3 (01:03:56):
Mean really love that you're a fan.

Speaker 1 (01:03:59):
You're I'm a huge fan.

Speaker 2 (01:04:01):
I've always been like a cheerleading flag flying totally. I mean,
you know that's what it took back then is to
have people that really loved the music. And so it's
weird to me that somehow that would ever change. You know,
how does that change?

Speaker 3 (01:04:20):
Have you remissed? If I didn't ask? And then there's
one more Selly story that because it's the only place
it don't only make sense for me to bring up.
Have you can you listen to the song today? Can
you listen to rock a Queen?

Speaker 2 (01:04:33):
That I do? I do?

Speaker 1 (01:04:35):
I listened to it a lot. I sing it at karaoke.

Speaker 5 (01:04:37):
As a matter of fact, do you think other parts
it's hilarious. A lot of people that A lot of
people that knew me and San Diego, you know, knew
the personal backstory, not because I promoted that, by the way,
I tried to keep listen.

Speaker 2 (01:04:51):
Once you name drop, that's the topic of every conversation
from there on out. There's nothing personal anymore or about me.
I become that figure. That's what I mean about parenting.
Oh my god, you know, I mean that's a lot,
you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (01:05:12):
So yeah, So I would karaoke.

Speaker 2 (01:05:15):
And you know, like my bandmates and stuff would just
they'd love it. They fully supported and wanted to recreate
a whole another Ghost in the Graveyard band and call
it Adriana and the Rockets. And I'm like, that is
so dumb, Like you know, that is the worst name.
I'm not I'm not getting behind that.

Speaker 1 (01:05:36):
Like just stop, you know, just really so, I don't.

Speaker 3 (01:05:40):
Know if anything this or at least for me, this kind,
I will never be able to listen to that song
the same way again, knowing this wonderful person who's behinding,
behinding isn't a word behind all of that.

Speaker 2 (01:05:52):
And I'm not what's expected, right, Like I'm not.

Speaker 3 (01:05:57):
I don't know what I expect anything to be. I
don't expect your mom, but I didn't expect it. I
didn't even know what to expect.

Speaker 2 (01:06:04):
Here's a song about your fucking models. I mean, but
I'm a regular girl, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (01:06:11):
Like I'm a regular person.

Speaker 2 (01:06:13):
It's like when I think about my persona, you know,
I should be like, you know, the girl, the girl.
I mean, I can give good face. I can, I
can get all made up and dressed up and all.
But then I open my mouth and then you know,
it's just definitely me. You know, there's well nothing you

(01:06:36):
can say.

Speaker 3 (01:06:37):
You're welcome back to share, not just talking about rock
and Queen, but talk about the music, especially after the
album comes out when I get it in the mail,
if you wouldn't mind, maybe if you want to sign
it for me, that might be really cool. I love
to you, you know what.

Speaker 2 (01:06:49):
I'm so proud of my work. I don't care because
it's it's I started. There was a couple of reasons. Okay,
get busy, tell the universe what you want. My mom
forgets to say that there was a piano teacher right
next door.

Speaker 1 (01:07:07):
It would not let me go over there. She thought
they had roaches.

Speaker 2 (01:07:10):
So there's a I wanted to play music since the
same I wanted to play music, sing, dance, and act.

Speaker 1 (01:07:18):
So I had to do it myself.

Speaker 2 (01:07:22):
I had to tell the universe what I wanted and
say it out loud. And also that's a guidepost for
my daughter, you know, to know that you can do
any I'm stepping out on stage at forty years old,
you know, I'm am I going to be a rock star.

Speaker 1 (01:07:38):
Who cares? You know, Like it's really who cares whose.

Speaker 2 (01:07:42):
Mom is doing? You know what I mean? Like whose
mom is doing this? So I'm just kind of carrying
on her legacy. You know, I'm not the same typical mom.
But I mean they made me a girl Scout leader,
you know. For Also it's like, you know, I am
you know.

Speaker 3 (01:08:02):
Like rock and queen the girl Scout leader. I love that.

Speaker 2 (01:08:04):
It's sane, you know. Now it's now, it's a different
time in my life. My daughter's grown, she's a musician
in La.

Speaker 1 (01:08:14):
Right.

Speaker 2 (01:08:14):
I'm just here, I've I've got I'm getting more time.
The season's winding down out here. It's real tourist season
type place. So I'll have a little more time on
my hands to start picking up my guitar and start
trying to figure out how to make my own studio.

Speaker 3 (01:08:34):
Okay, well, I can't wait to hear it. I will
might if you send it to me, though I might
have to get a record player because I don't have
a woman. Is that the only way to listen to it?
I know, I live in.

Speaker 1 (01:08:44):
I haven't learned how to digitize it.

Speaker 2 (01:08:48):
Maybe you can help me with that. I mean, it
should be available that way too, and I would want
I don't know how to do it.

Speaker 3 (01:08:56):
Well, finure out you know what. This is gonna be
a rare collectible at the beginning. And then oh man,
so I'll just end with on one of my little
stories because I'm not famous enough to write a book
on my radio path. I had a short lived I
was a program director for six months. I mean I
worked for I worked for WRCN out East End along

(01:09:21):
Long Island. It was a classic rock station. Now it's news,
but there was a time period where the classic rock
wasn't doing well and they kind of tried to mix
the songs of old and new, and they they eventually
gave it to me, and I was actually running a
station in West Palm Beach, Florida for a couple of weeks.
I was supposed to move down there. All this and
speaking of not being paid, they didn't want to paid

(01:09:42):
me more than twenty two grand a year to move
down to Florida. I guess that's great. So thankfully they
fired me and my life ended up better anyway. Uh
the song, obviously I got whatever. I got a chance
to play guns and Roses, I did so. I not
like most radio stations, they just placed the hits wherever
I could. So I played rock a queen, but be
the program director and being as paranoid as I was,

(01:10:02):
and I finally got full time, and I just didn't
want anything going wrong. As soon as I'm listening to
the station, you know online, the station in Florida, and
I hear your moans and for whatever in me, I'm
just like I because I was getting feedback from I
was working with people who didn't know Man in the

(01:10:23):
Box from Alice in Chains. I was working with people
who didn't know rock and roll. So I was really
afraid that one of my bosses were gonna turn it
on and hear sex sounds. So I dumped out of
the song during that. So whoever was listening at that
time maybe the one person. I'm sorry. I was just
afraid of, like getting my boss. I'll never forget. I

(01:10:45):
made a demo reel of just what the station was
gonna sound like, and I had like fifteen seconds of
man in the box and like what is this? And
I was like, you don't know what that is? That's
not good. Almost fired me on the spot, and I'm like,
had you not know what that is? In your making
of rock stations?

Speaker 1 (01:11:01):
It is a hairy song. If you revisit that song,
that is scaryes.

Speaker 3 (01:11:08):
Anyway, I mean that was a real negative. Like we said,
we don't focus on the past, but that build me
up for you know what I am today.

Speaker 2 (01:11:15):
That was a bad Now you don't have to apologize.
I know the same thing. That's why I don't go
around going hey, uh, you know I screwed Axel on
that album. Look at me, look at me? Yeah, it
doesn't bode well with you know, your professional life.

Speaker 1 (01:11:31):
Really and and ma'am, your your resume says what.

Speaker 7 (01:11:36):
Yeah, I did some art project, you know, It's like
people want to just throw it into like a pornography
type thing, which I'm all.

Speaker 1 (01:11:46):
Good with and everything.

Speaker 2 (01:11:48):
Uh, but you know, there was a deal back then
where you know, you were either a porn star or
an actress. Like I wanted to actually be an actress
like in movies. I did one stupid movie in Florida.
But a lot of you know, young women my age
would end up on that end because it was quick money,

(01:12:12):
you could develop some sort of persona and career, you
could get into a car. You know, like it was
different than it is today. For sure, it still was
hard you know, it was hardcore, but today's wow. So
I mean I'm not People do what they gotta do,
and you know, you can be empowered in anything you do,

(01:12:33):
but I just don't go around blasting that that's yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:12:38):
No, I mean I think that's as you know, as
famous and as honestly as I think cool as it is, Like, yeah,
you're gonna go around wearing a T shirt that says that.
I mean, I don't think.

Speaker 1 (01:12:48):
I don't have to prove it. Remember that, Remember that
was a.

Speaker 3 (01:12:51):
Real picture by the way online that I saw that
says was that a real picture speaking of proving it though,
before I forget, was that a real picture that I
saw online that says, like Axel, this is the picture
Axel took after the night. It's like you supposedly on
top of a piano?

Speaker 6 (01:13:05):
Is that I had?

Speaker 2 (01:13:07):
I mean people say that. I don't really think it
was Axel that took the picture. I think it was
like a maintenance guy. I don't think those guys were
back to their hotel room. I think that's the night
I got dropped off by the Hell's Angels up there
and I just found the pool area.

Speaker 1 (01:13:26):
And I mean I could be wrong.

Speaker 3 (01:13:29):
But that's you though on topic.

Speaker 2 (01:13:30):
That is me.

Speaker 3 (01:13:31):
That is me, Yes, okay.

Speaker 1 (01:13:33):
Because I'm wearing Barbour's corset.

Speaker 2 (01:13:36):
Well I guess yeah, my hair was just probably gotcha.
You know, I have to wear my hair like that
a lot.

Speaker 3 (01:13:44):
And before I forget it and I'm sorry, we should
we could do this and a two three parter. But
because the Rocket Queen for we thought for a while
was Barbie Barby, it was Barbie.

Speaker 1 (01:13:54):
So that's well, I mean she wanted to have a band.

Speaker 2 (01:13:58):
I mean that whole interview thing with her, that wasn't
I'm the one that invited her into that. I'm the
one that invited her into that interview. I invited Pam
into that.

Speaker 1 (01:14:09):
That was my interview.

Speaker 2 (01:14:11):
I wanted to clear the air and you know, hey, guys.

Speaker 1 (01:14:16):
Stop focusing on me.

Speaker 2 (01:14:18):
Here's like a real musician, here's you know, here's an
iconic person. I wanted to you know, introduce her. And
she turned out to be really.

Speaker 1 (01:14:31):
Wow. She was.

Speaker 2 (01:14:35):
Not very friendly in the end at all, like she
wouldn't like the camera.

Speaker 1 (01:14:42):
You know, people.

Speaker 2 (01:14:43):
Wanted, you know, we were all supposed to meet up,
like I had never met her before, like I was
trying to give her credibility back to her. And I
guess it just doesn't matter because in the end, people
have attached that to me, which is fine. You know,
it's obvious the song wasn't written for me. You know,
I'm not I'm not the one that's calling myself that.

Speaker 6 (01:15:06):
You know.

Speaker 3 (01:15:06):
Do you think she like everyone else that like you
were trying to own it even though yeah, you're the but.

Speaker 1 (01:15:13):
No, I tried to hide it for twenty.

Speaker 3 (01:15:15):
Years, right right right, But she she thought the opposite,
it seems, you know, or yeah, and.

Speaker 1 (01:15:20):
It's because other people have had made.

Speaker 2 (01:15:24):
It that way, and so you know, here's me, somebody
wants to interview me for some online thing.

Speaker 1 (01:15:31):
I can't remember what that was.

Speaker 2 (01:15:33):
It was the one, you know, like I don't know
anyway anyways, I just uh tried to give that back
to her, and she just she just yeah, that that
was her attitude, and I just I didn't understand it.
Barbie van grief and and and the thing that's the

(01:15:55):
worst part of it. Now she's disappeared again, and from
what I but I've heard through grapevines, you know how
people drift apart. But she goes in and out of
like being visible, which is kind of.

Speaker 1 (01:16:14):
Disturbing, you know, because you want there's a certain visibility
to know you're still on the planet and that you're
doing all right, you know.

Speaker 4 (01:16:21):
What I mean.

Speaker 3 (01:16:22):
You're talking to somebody, you know, it tries to follow
is he straddling? I mean, everyone says, where's he?

Speaker 1 (01:16:28):
That's gonna be a hard one, right, He's a goof?

Speaker 2 (01:16:31):
He's a goof?

Speaker 1 (01:16:33):
Is he?

Speaker 3 (01:16:33):
That's It's the band. This band let every cast of character,
whether they're in the band or all the sides as
an element of mystery to them.

Speaker 1 (01:16:41):
And that's kind of the And you wonder about them.

Speaker 2 (01:16:43):
You wonder, like, I mean, is he just like an
old guy in a wheelchair or something?

Speaker 7 (01:16:47):
Now?

Speaker 2 (01:16:48):
You know, you wonder.

Speaker 1 (01:16:49):
You wonder because your esteem gets a.

Speaker 2 (01:16:53):
Certain way, you know, and it's all matched by your
reality and your perception of other people's persons, which is trash.

Speaker 1 (01:17:02):
You know, you're not responsible for.

Speaker 2 (01:17:03):
What other people are thinking. Like a girlfriend of mine
posted something on my Facebook about, you know, the whole
rocket queen thing, and it was like some TikTok where
somebody's like, oh my god, look at what stupid Oedler's.

Speaker 1 (01:17:16):
Girlfriend did, blah blah.

Speaker 2 (01:17:18):
And then they were all like thirteen hundred comments below it,
and some of it was like, yeah, she's an old,
ugly worn out and I'm like, wow, man, even if
it's true. Here, I'll quote John Lennon when they spoke
about Yoko, you know, saying she was all ugly. Well,
even if that's true, that's not really a nice thing

(01:17:40):
to say, you know, have respect for your elder sonny,
you know, or what happened.

Speaker 3 (01:17:45):
Hey, it's not true.

Speaker 1 (01:17:46):
You look great, thank you, It's all good.

Speaker 2 (01:17:50):
I'm not like, look, it's just I don't need you.

Speaker 3 (01:17:54):
Know, the world is sick, you know, and I really
try to not look I'm not going to bet, and
then I'm above it. I've had those moments too. I
like to think most of it was off the air,
and growing up and therapy helped me not be as
much of a cynical asshole or hating on other things,
because you know, I'm obsessed with my own appearance. Why
would I make somebody else feel bad about theirs? And

(01:18:15):
I don't feel good about mine. So it's just, you know,
I treat online trolls a certain way and they don't
like it when you talk back to them. Oh, you
can't take it. No, I'm giving you what you gave me,
your prick, so you can't take it. So, I mean,
you can't let it get to you. You see, It's
it's hard. So that's why this is.

Speaker 2 (01:18:32):
Congratulations on taking personal responsibility for yourself.

Speaker 1 (01:18:36):
I'm going to say that that's no tiny.

Speaker 2 (01:18:39):
Task to choose therapy, like I've been mandated to go before,
you know.

Speaker 1 (01:18:48):
But I'm telling you right here and now, that takes a.

Speaker 2 (01:18:52):
Lot of personal reflection and desire to be a better
human being.

Speaker 1 (01:18:59):
So can congratulations on that.

Speaker 2 (01:19:01):
I feel honored to be speaking with somebody I don't care.

Speaker 1 (01:19:05):
What if you can be a total piece of shit.

Speaker 2 (01:19:07):
You know, you're still working on yourself and you're taking
responsibility for that, and yeah, I.

Speaker 3 (01:19:14):
Mean, well I don't want to be a total piece
of shit, even if you're working on yourself.

Speaker 2 (01:19:18):
I mean you know what I mean. No, I had
to do everything good and then you go home and
kick the dog, you know.

Speaker 3 (01:19:25):
Like it's like, I know, I get you, and I
try to work hard. You know, if I didn't work
the way I did and wouldn't have met my wife,
I wouldn't have had my kid. I probably I would
be dead.

Speaker 6 (01:19:35):
You know.

Speaker 3 (01:19:35):
That's why you have to have a mental health issue
to like this band, to be a part of this ORB.
So that's why. That's why I've been able to do
this for for ten years. And the fact that I
get to talk to you and you know what your
mom is calling, My son's calling. Shoot, that's okay, we
can't drop Mama.

Speaker 4 (01:19:57):
I said, I like you.

Speaker 3 (01:19:58):
Thank you. I like you too. I appreciate that. Thank you.

Speaker 2 (01:20:02):
Anyways, No, I got.

Speaker 3 (01:20:03):
MoMA's approval a hardcore. I'm a nice Jewish boy, So
that's I think that's white like me.

Speaker 2 (01:20:09):
We love Jewish boys, right, that has nothing to do
with it.

Speaker 4 (01:20:16):
I pick up on people's vibes. Okay, yeah, and I'm
not mean if I don't like somebody, but I no,
but you've got really you're really I really like you.

Speaker 2 (01:20:34):
Wow, dude, she doesn't say that about it everybody.

Speaker 1 (01:20:38):
So just you know, tell your wife tonight.

Speaker 2 (01:20:40):
Hey. You know, Adriana's mom likes you know, and there
will be another wife hating me, you know, like, no, no,
then there will be another woman hating me. It's supposed
to be a good we are all women are supposed
to connect.

Speaker 4 (01:20:57):
You to have good friend. I have a male friend
that his wife is still jealous of me, and I've
known him since I was fourteen and and he's been
my best male friend. We've never had a relationship boyfriend girlfriend.

Speaker 3 (01:21:19):
It's I don't know, it's just a dynamic the boys
versus girls.

Speaker 2 (01:21:24):
Being said, that is a lot.

Speaker 1 (01:21:28):
That's the nature of it.

Speaker 2 (01:21:30):
That's that's a lot of the reason why, you know,
female male relationships don't last, you know, I mean the
guys and guns and roses are guys and guns and roses.

Speaker 3 (01:21:44):
So well, Steh, Daphin, Stephen Duff and Susan are doing
pretty well, I mean his current wife or together. I mean,
obviously Slash has been with Megan for quite some time. Actual,
I mean the you know, that's kind of amazing.

Speaker 6 (01:22:00):
You know.

Speaker 3 (01:22:01):
I feel we don't need to get off of a
whole sidetrack, but I feel for the guy based upon
other interviews he's done where he seemed like he really
wanted to be a dad and a father, So he
seems like he's in a good place now, and you know,
as long as he has a family atmosphere, you know,
it's striking.

Speaker 2 (01:22:18):
I think that Beta and her family, even though in
the beginning I was like, man, you know, like this
guy's just dropped back and he's got this assistant, you know,
and I'm just like, you know, way back in that time.
But I honestly think because I actually stayed over at

(01:22:39):
Beta's house with her children, I drove up to show
some pictures for the VH one Girls Behind the Music
thing because I wanted to make sure that Axel wasn't
against the pictures that I was using, if that makes sense,
because at that point he was, you know, Slash. He

(01:23:01):
wasn't speaking to Slash at all, and I got a
hold of her and I can't remember how. I think
somebody gave me her phone number and I called her
and I said, look, you know, I want to meet
with Axel and show them these pictures or whatever. And
so she came and met me, and then she's like,

(01:23:21):
well where you know, it was getting dusk, and she's like, well,
were you going to stay? You know, and I said,
I didn't even I didn't even think about it, Like
this was a lot. You know, it's a lot like
you know, my husband at the time knew where I
was at, and he's just you know, go do it.

(01:23:42):
Go to She had me stay over her house with
her kids, you know, Fernando and I forget. The girl
was so beautiful. Yeah, and they're like, this is Axel's car.
It was like a big Ford Bronco, just like West had.

Speaker 8 (01:23:59):
Yeah, we West stay here when he was having some issues.
You know, I think those people have really helped a lot,
like having I mean, if they're I've never heard anything
to that degree where she's a really kind person or

(01:24:20):
she's you know, I haven't heard anything contrary or to
that degree. And you know, her whole job is to
keep him focused and to help monitor the people around him.

Speaker 2 (01:24:32):
And everything. I found a really compassionate, really open person.
I mean, who's going to let somebody stay over their
house that they don't even know with my reputation et cetera,
et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. So to me, and
that was quite a few years ago, you know, but
to me, wow, you know, I don't need to I

(01:24:54):
don't need to speak to Axel.

Speaker 1 (01:24:55):
Directly today to know that.

Speaker 2 (01:24:59):
For whatever reason he needs to not. You know, there
hasn't arisen a time. But I mean.

Speaker 3 (01:25:10):
That was special. I appreciate babes.

Speaker 2 (01:25:14):
I'm all good, It's all good, you know. And yeah,
I was respected and again now with Dell.

Speaker 1 (01:25:21):
So those those are the things that count.

Speaker 3 (01:25:24):
Those are two days. Those are two big acts. And
I'm really happy to hear that from a bed. Yeah,
and Dell of course contributing to you can you can
read it for yourself. I'll put it up over my
trying to read it when my son was on my lap.
You can go to sue guitars dot com. Again, as
I'm doing this, one hundred and ninety left in stock.
There's only three hundred made for now. We'll see what

(01:25:46):
the demand gets. We'll see Adriana. So thank you, thank you.
I'm so glad we got to do this. Thank you
to your mom, Diane.

Speaker 2 (01:25:56):
She's all right, she's all right.

Speaker 3 (01:25:58):
I hope it's not too late. You guys are West Coast.

Speaker 1 (01:26:01):
Oh no, it's not even it's not even dark here.
It's dark hok Springs. Okay, it's like one hundred and
ten to day or something.

Speaker 4 (01:26:10):
No, it was only one hundred, one hundred and one
to day.

Speaker 1 (01:26:15):
Oh, I'm sorry, only one hundred.

Speaker 3 (01:26:18):
One hundred one. How dare me bring the winter coat?

Speaker 4 (01:26:23):
Two?

Speaker 2 (01:26:25):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:26:25):
Yeah, it suck as sunshine yep, sunshiny.

Speaker 3 (01:26:31):
Fifty seven degrees forest hills right now.

Speaker 2 (01:26:35):
I love it right now, ninety four degrees.

Speaker 1 (01:26:38):
Ninety four degrees, Alexa, be quiet.

Speaker 3 (01:26:41):
Anyways, we always use it like some that's okay.

Speaker 1 (01:26:45):
Listen, I say nature the cold. I love the cold.
I am always hot. I love the cold.

Speaker 3 (01:26:53):
So you're ever in New York. At some point I
want to turn because I'm in my apartment right now
to make a cattle like apartment studio, like I want
to do that one day, so I have like studio interviews.

Speaker 6 (01:27:06):
I want.

Speaker 3 (01:27:07):
My wife is like, what are you talking about? I
just want to add another mic and like one of
your pink chairs, like have someone sit here, like once
in a blue moon. Once in a blue moon, you
can just.

Speaker 2 (01:27:17):
Get the sound divider thing that are in offices and
you can just pour door off your little area.

Speaker 3 (01:27:25):
Maybe maybe I actually, since your camera was going crazy,
only just make my camera go crazy just for a
bit so people can sit inside. No, no, you're doing
see you. I don't see you. Oh dory, I'll cut
you out when you're showing you all the pictures and
my hiding.

Speaker 1 (01:27:42):
Don't be a high high hi Harrison.

Speaker 3 (01:27:46):
All right, don'torry, I'll cut you out. She doesn't want
to be seen. She has an n d A, she
has an NDA.

Speaker 7 (01:27:52):
Beautiful no non disclosure agreement.

Speaker 3 (01:27:56):
I want to show your lovely legs. Can can I
say that this is not going to work for me?
All right? So that that ended on a crazy note.
But Adrian Smith, I just thank you so much for
your time, and I hope we get to do this
again soon.

Speaker 2 (01:28:12):
You know what, anytime, anytime, it's been my pleasure.

Speaker 3 (01:28:15):
Thank you awesome. So that does it for this episode
of Appetite for Distortion. When we see the next one.
In the words of Axel Rose concerning Chinese democracy. Yes,
oh sorry, what was mama saying?

Speaker 1 (01:28:26):
I have no idea.

Speaker 2 (01:28:28):
Okay, hold on a second, mom, what were you trying
to say to him?

Speaker 4 (01:28:32):
Can she call you at any time?

Speaker 3 (01:28:35):
I mean it depends on what my son's napping, But yeah,
I guess you can. You know, Oh, it's a friend,
of course, as a friend. Yeah, of course.

Speaker 2 (01:28:44):
As a friend. As a friend.

Speaker 3 (01:28:49):
That does it for this episode of Appetite for Distortion.
The words of Axel Rose concerning Chinese democracy. Oh, she
won't lose me where she is. She'll come back. She'll
come back. Don't worry, you'll see it. I don't know
how soon, as the.

Speaker 4 (01:29:01):
