Speaker 2 (04:40):
Mental health and mental wellness.

Speaker 13 (04:42):
We're going to be talking about how we lend technology
and talent developments to create a culture of continuous growth
and continuous learning.

Speaker 5 (04:56):
You will always redirect money into better situations.

Speaker 14 (04:59):
I remember I interviewed one of the guys who the
War Dogs movie was based off, and I you know,
you hear things. We don't always register things. I remember
I asked them, you know what the budget is for
defense in the US. He said eight.

Speaker 7 (05:14):
Hundred billion dollars a year, eight hundred billion, with a
billion closet two hundred and fifty used to be that
it's been raising up over the years. Probably about five
ten years ago, it was that.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
Well, right, if you.

Speaker 15 (05:27):
Talk about the Pentagon alone, they spent billions, Yeah, about
eight hundred billion. Well in total, yeah, eight hundred billion dollars. Yes,
that's as per just that's per year, yeah, per year,
per year, eight hundred billion. Yeah, that's the entire Pentagon budget.

Speaker 5 (05:44):
Yeah, yeah, I had no idea. Yeah, it's an eight
hundred billion dollars a year on weapons.

Speaker 15 (05:51):
Yeah, it's about ten times more than like the next
five biggest countries combined.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Yes, something like that.

Speaker 16 (05:59):
So eight hundred billion dollars seventy in thirteen years. If
we applied the same amount to reparations.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Wait, wait, I'm wrong, I'm wrong.

Speaker 14 (06:12):
Twenty twenty five eight hundred and ninety two point six
billion dollars dollar almost right, livery, almost nine hundred billion.

Speaker 16 (06:20):
Economists have concluded, on several economists that can have concluded
that black reparations would amount to between thirteen and seventeen
trillion dollars.

Speaker 5 (06:31):
Trillion dollars.

Speaker 16 (06:32):
Yes, we're spending you just said one trillion a year
on defense. Yeah, just give us half of that. Just
give this to us, half of a hundred billion years.
There were five hundred billion for a year, and we
stretched it out to twenty five years.

Speaker 17 (06:48):
And it was I remember, you know, this is when
I was, you know, I was going viral for these comments.
Almost right, livery, it's almost.

Speaker 5 (07:00):
Nine hundred billion.

Speaker 16 (07:01):
Economists have concluded, on several economists that can have concluded
that black reparations would amount to between thirteen and seventeen
trillion dollars. Trillion dollars, yes, seven, we're spending you just
say it once trillion a year on defense.

Speaker 5 (07:19):
Yeah, just give us half of that, just exist for
us half an.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
Ove a million years.

Speaker 5 (07:24):
It was five hundred million per year, and let's change
it out to twenty five years, and.

Speaker 17 (07:30):
It is I remember, you know, this is when I was,
you know, I was going viral for these comments. I
remember at the time, this was before the pandemic. I said,
I don't I don't think that cash payments for black
reparations are going to work because of the amount of money,
you'd probably bankrupt the country.

Speaker 18 (07:47):
I suggested for example, like you know, free college education
and so forth. And people got on me and I
was like, oh, that's not affair one about Jewish people.
Your people got reparations from hereman and so forth, and
then the pandemic happened, and I saw the amount of money,
but the US.

Speaker 2 (08:00):
Gave out, and I said, he does something.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
I was wrong.

Speaker 8 (08:02):
I was wrong.

Speaker 19 (08:03):
They got even they kind of the US got it,
and the US wanted to pay black people back the slavery.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
That cash is actually pay.

Speaker 5 (08:11):
So I had apologize.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
I don't mean a dealer you need. Talked about that
in one of my shows.

Speaker 16 (08:15):
And also I've always and I've been a member of
In fact, I helped write the reparations legislation as a
student assistant to Congressman John Congress who when exacted it.
And I've always, as part of the reparations movement, advocated

(08:39):
for suing corporations that has survived through corporations that profited
from slavery and have survived, and there are many who
participated in the slavery trade.

Speaker 5 (08:51):
We know the Wall Street financed much.

Speaker 16 (08:53):
Of the slave trade, so in that sense, they can
pay without bankrupting individuals.

Speaker 5 (09:03):
Yeah, yeah, I mean there's actually received. There's a list
of corporations like this once a port of the ones.

Speaker 8 (09:10):
That we know about.

Speaker 14 (09:11):
Lehman Brothers, Edna, JP Morgan, the New York Life Insurance
and then Ross Child and Son's Bank in London, Norfolk Southern.
That's the trade right the USA today, Fleet, Boston's CSX,
Canadian National Railway, Brown Brothers, Harriman, Brooks Brothers, Barclays, the

(09:36):
Barclays Center over in Brooklyn.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
And it's given to black people.

Speaker 5 (09:40):
They can know that, right, That's cool. Not to say
he's brought your newnsion over the over the course of years,
they've made tens of trillions. Yeah, yeah, I agree, man,
I agree.

Speaker 16 (09:55):
Not to say we've brought your Munson over the over
the course of years, they've made tends and triligans.

Speaker 20 (10:04):
Yeah, yeah, I agree, man, I agree. So now do
you think it'll happen all lifetime? Yes, well, we didn't
think we'd have a black president.

Speaker 5 (10:14):
In our lifetime.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
I think that's all I'll never do.

Speaker 5 (10:17):
You don't know unless you tried, and so let's see it.
Keep trying and see what happens.

Speaker 8 (10:24):
Yeah.

Speaker 14 (10:25):
I mean, you've seen small instances of this at certain universities,
and Bundy Harvard did something about that, and a couple
of the universities, and we got.

Speaker 16 (10:35):
Local municipalities who have passed reparations ordinances that also provide assistance.

Speaker 21 (10:45):
Reparations for Holocaust reparations for Japanese and Barkers and turn
in California entertainment capital.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
They got the money.

Speaker 16 (10:53):
African Americans the next pursuing to that ordinance, I think
there's a guaranteed income in Chicago. I believe it is,
or it was for a short time fifteen hundred per
person for a certain population that as part of the
reparations bill.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
And then you have states that can do the same.

Speaker 16 (11:11):
But major cities run by African American political officials have,
certainly most of them passed ordinances supporting congression of legislation
for reparations. And that's why so important that we participate
in the system that has the resources.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
You know, I get it.

Speaker 16 (11:36):
They don't respect us, they don't want us, they don't this,
They rejected us. Why are you trying to fight your
main way into the white man's world? Why you want
to be somewhere? Wasn't nobody want?

Speaker 9 (11:47):
No?

Speaker 2 (11:47):
I don't want to do any of that.

Speaker 5 (11:48):
I want what's mine, period, That's what I want.

Speaker 16 (11:52):
Great great grand Mama, I want that gret grand Moba
would have given.

Speaker 5 (11:55):
Me that y'all got it, Give me my shit, that's all.
It is, not about anything other than justice.

Speaker 22 (12:04):
I three, I agree.

Speaker 23 (12:06):
Like I said, I've said certain things that I had
to you know, rewind back up, you know. But ultimately
I'm okay with getting more information and changing my stands.

Speaker 5 (12:16):
That's okay.

Speaker 19 (12:17):
We're all wrong at certain times, and so yeah, we
all have opinions, and we get more information and think
you're better off of sorbings and new information as opposed
to be just being stubborn and saying, well, I said
it before, so I just gotta understand on that and
so forth.

Speaker 8 (12:34):

Speaker 21 (15:21):
You gotta call eight hundred and two seven three a

your online simply go to the veterans quitches line that net.
That's veterans putch of line that neck. And when you do,
you want to give it some praise because we all

(15:42):
need somebody to lead off.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
Now I've told you the car.

Speaker 21 (15:45):
I'm one beautiful and delos a black man. I produced
the show. I direct the topics, I do the storytelling.
I do the stats for platting.

Speaker 23 (15:53):
I do the play by play.

Speaker 5 (15:55):
Wanna go first and three?

Speaker 2 (15:57):
The Council of the.

Speaker 21 (15:58):
Christure fastball start off, sit the bill, getting the hole
back to the wall. God Ho runs, say hello to
my little friends.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
They sit. The girls love the long ball and me
and them to get me in La.

Speaker 8 (16:16):
They love La.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
It's tired at wanna piece.

Speaker 21 (16:20):
You know what happened to a bird when the flies
of the La people getting barbecue grills ready. When the
bird sizes over in Los Canals, they say, stop the
barbecue grill and they give it.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
Praise off Fred level one. That bird butter fly high
because people in La and the love the yark herd,
and that that hurge he bug.

Speaker 5 (16:37):
Is the yark bird.

Speaker 8 (16:38):
I would do.

Speaker 21 (16:38):
I do want to see for all the people that
I getting ready for sports. We got NFL football kicking.

Speaker 2 (16:43):
Up of that.

Speaker 21 (16:44):
Also the Kansas City chief They are taking on the
Washington Commanders. But Washington, Canada depleted. Daniels the quarterback is
not playing and Kansas City is starting to find their groove.
They're starting to get their groove back. Look at touchdown,
go home home, be doing his thing. But if anybody care,
but you can say, run us up front to turk

(17:05):
the council of the picture, fastball, swallow you.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
Sooner Field getting the whole back to the wall out
of it. Who rose Heay, hello to my little red.
You know the girls loved the little ball and mean
the hit. He gonna be hitting defensive. The Hills got
a frond out. The Dodgers doing their thing.

Speaker 21 (17:27):
I'm even gonna play some side casts and some other
programs getting up into Game three of the World Series,
and beautifuls affairs are being in southern California. Also over
the weekend, LSU college football they fired their coach Kelly.
They said he wasn't winning enough. He wasn't win enough
big down in the Southeast. Five and three, and he

(17:49):
got fired at five and three. So jameson Franklin from Pitts.
They got fired when he was three or three. And
now they fight another big time coach, Kelly Ryan. Kelly
gotta find a new job down there the South down
there and what they call what they.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
Call that ton ruse Louisiana.

Speaker 21 (18:05):
I guess he couldn't get enough wins for them being attackers.
But they'll find they'll lot on their feet. I think
they're giving up forty million dollars, forty two million dollars
something like that.

Speaker 2 (18:14):
I think Franklin got forty forty five or forty nine million.
That's a lot of money. They'll bring another coach in
there and give them the money. And they all the
talk about Nick Saban. They can't they can't talk about
Nick Saban. Maybe Nick Saban, she go coach Robert Nick
Saban go back to coach for twenty million dollars.

Speaker 21 (18:31):
That's why, Well he already got twenty million dollars. But
does he want to deal with all a headache he making?
He's making big money. How much money is enough money
enjoy the days of your life. That's just a young
man's game.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
They're gonna be'sac up more coaches around. Some guys.

Speaker 21 (18:45):
They talking about Dan Manning from Oregon leaven Organ to
go down there coach at the LSU for what get
everything you need?

Speaker 2 (18:53):
Organ right now? All the money.

Speaker 21 (18:54):
Maybe he could use that to negotiate a better contract.
No matter who it is, there's no need to go
down there LSU. They just keep fire and coaches, that's
all they As long as Alabama and Georgia are in
that conference. It's gonna be hard for somebody else to
win a champions.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
You see, Texas couldn't do it. Texas came in there
and they tried. They couldn't do it.

Speaker 21 (19:14):
Texas A and M they're trying. They can't do it,
even though they're still undefeated and M looking like a
good team. But this conference goes down to Georgia and Alabama.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
And Alabama you.

Speaker 21 (19:25):
See the win they had over the weekend when they
came from.

Speaker 2 (19:27):
It h and get that big win.

Speaker 21 (19:29):
They were about to lose the South Carolina. But sometimes
an airphant can beat a game cock seven days a week,
and an elephant feat again flock seven days a week.

Speaker 2 (19:40):
That's why I stow it. I'm thinking with it. I'm
looking at some of the overs in the air USC
right behind Michigan.

Speaker 21 (19:47):
I said, didn't USC just beat Michigan thirty one thirteen
about two weeks ago. Well, sometimes you can't believe the poles,
don't believe the hut, don't believe the bowles.

Speaker 2 (19:56):
All that stuff is about somebody having some livations and said, well,
let's put them there. In Indiana.

Speaker 21 (20:01):
I thought UCLA had a Renaissance. Here they were Sam
gear Rick new heizel Son the job.

Speaker 2 (20:08):
Just give them a job. If they got meat. I
think it was it was a fifty nine to three.
I might be wrong because I time, my eyes are blurry.
I said maybe twenty five thirteen. I think it's a
fifty nine to three.

Speaker 5 (20:19):
I could be wrong.

Speaker 21 (20:20):
By the time get of a fifty have a running
Clackford College UCLA.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
They can't wait for basketball to start. All play level
world Ohouse.

Speaker 21 (20:28):
They they're always doing their things. But the big game
coming up. It's just fennch State taking out ohiose dates
this weekend. We'll see how that bathrom up to Finns State.
I think Ohio State rolls. That's just my opinion and
I'm gonna take away there a lot of business, a
lot of big time players. Look at big time Blade
in Arizona State, they got beat by the going the

(20:50):
boys from Houston. Houston had lived off. But then b
YU States un they knocked off the Iowa State cycloned.
B YU is gonna most likely win the twelve or
at least played Texas Techs for the Big Club Championship.
That's why Floyd I'm thinking with it Miami.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
Beats Stafford in a conference game.

Speaker 21 (21:09):
The Miami Hurricane versus the Stafford Cardinals in a conference game.
I got my start Stafford over there, COVID College football
at the farm, and why don't they have to play
a conference game? Pacific Ocean versus day Bannic Ocean. They
broke up the Black Club, some of those things.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
You gotta come back. He's dumb.

Speaker 21 (21:28):
The Colors just get five from San Francisco to Miami
for a color football game.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
What's wrong with you? Oh yeah, your walking mind.

Speaker 21 (21:37):
You know, people can get back together again, just like
Ashman the Sisters the second time around get the back
too of a chance to come back together. You have
teams like Washington State playing Toledo for what, that's not
a conference game? All fred level war in Montanna beat
Sacramento Day it was forty nine to thirty five in
a big game. And the big guy and you also

(21:57):
had no Dakota State knock it off, South DA go
to the state last of defending.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
That's the Japan.

Speaker 21 (22:04):
It's all about what you played, what you played. Big
times players think it big times plays. It doesn't matter
what you did. The past is what to do now.
I never miss the show with big keys boys.

Speaker 2 (22:13):
Not one shoe that was.

Speaker 17 (22:15):
That was.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
So that's my story. I'm taking with it. But you
know today's different is Game three of the World Series
from my Angulus cadifuny out.

Speaker 21 (22:24):
The Dodgers from there for me anything like me, I
want to hear.

Speaker 2 (22:27):
What some of the other broadcast on the saying, that's
my story and I'm thinking with it.

Speaker 8 (22:32):
Are you ready?

Speaker 6 (22:33):
Was right?

Speaker 2 (22:34):
First and turn that counts of the business.

Speaker 21 (22:36):
Man bub swam on indeed, center field, get the whole
back to the wall out home bird, say hello to
my little rosy man the girl, love the long bow
and men not the hit deep will be hit me from.

Speaker 2 (22:53):
TV being I just dat him. I'm not gonna ben again.
So it's a huge challenge for him.

Speaker 10 (22:59):
And I just can't wait for that first hitting because
in the first hitting in the regular season this year,
he's almost thirteen.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
Like he gets smashed and that's a concern.

Speaker 5 (23:07):
And they have a side for topic.

Speaker 2 (23:09):
Last, Now, how about those breaking balls.

Speaker 24 (23:10):
I cannot wait to watch that in an hour curveball
slider literally hit They hit one eight eight against the
slider in one four against the curveball.

Speaker 5 (23:19):
Oh sure'ser glass now the drama Mama. I love it, Jenny.

Speaker 13 (23:22):
It's a great starting pitching matchup, no question about it.

Speaker 2 (23:24):
Kevin. I think the big question.

Speaker 13 (23:26):
Coming in is will the Dodgers offense pick it up
now that they're at home?

Speaker 8 (23:31):
Yeah?

Speaker 25 (23:32):
I mean the last time they were here show he
did well. I would say it is three over. So look,
they have won in so many different ways over the
last few years. Last year was bludgeting teams to death.
Then you add into bullpen that was just absolutely fantastic.
And now you have a starting staff that's I cared well.
Then all you need to do is give you one
or two. So you don't have that sense of urgency

(23:52):
to be great. You just want to get what needs
to be done right, don't force the issue. And I
think that's what we got to see today. Do they
continue to you know, death five thousand paper counts? Do
you continue to move forward?

Speaker 2 (24:03):
AT's see if taken maybe hop Arner three And that's
a sassaying pal.

Speaker 1 (24:08):
Right.

Speaker 2 (24:09):
You look at the regular season how things played out.

Speaker 13 (24:11):
The Dodgers are one of those post nofensives. This is
a team where they're going to hit home runs. We
know that well, it was the Blue Jays. This was
the middle of the pack when it came to home
runs in the regular season, and they have led the
pack in the postseason. They have been able to hit
the long ball, They've been able.

Speaker 2 (24:26):
To score a lot of runs.

Speaker 13 (24:27):
They've been able almost the time to death by paper
cut and hit the singles.

Speaker 2 (24:31):
How might that change though? Against Glass?

Speaker 13 (24:33):
Now against Show Hey, o'shani two guys who have very
high list percentages coming in.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
Yeah, and they definitely have their work cutoff for him
tonight with Tyler Glass.

Speaker 9 (24:43):
Now, the Blue Jays are going to come in tonight
and really try to get the team and get in
that bold kind as soon as they can, because that's
been the Doctors League link and it's one of those things.

Speaker 2 (24:53):
I think an X factor tonight is to watch how
deep into accounts.

Speaker 9 (24:57):
That these Blue Jays hitters can get because getting to
last night this game is going to be imperative for
them tonight.

Speaker 13 (25:02):
All right, let me at that Stax Scherzer, because you
mentioned the TV. This is a guy whose resume speaks
for himself, unlike Clayton Kershop. We do not know if
this is the end of the road for Max Scherzer
in Major League Baseball, if it is quite decorated, he
stills lots of proof. Though it feels like this is
a guy that's tiery. We know that we saw Matt
nat show up in the closeseason again, John Schneider maybe trembling.

Speaker 2 (25:24):
If he has to go out here at some point today.

Speaker 13 (25:27):
This is a guy who's ready to compete, who's ready
to give it off.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
Do you sense that it could be the unstall? I do,
And I think the stuff says it should be near
the end.

Speaker 10 (25:36):
And I think a chance to play in a World
Series like Clayton Kershaw, be able to have that one
more World series, I think is really special.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
But we have to be realistic because Era.

Speaker 26 (25:45):
In the regular season was five and a half, and
although he pitched great, because he's such a competitor. In
that playoff game against Seattle, you can't ignore and he
pitched in the sixth inning, but you can't ignore the
four walks in the home run, right, And the reason
you have the four walks in the home run is
he doesn't trust stuff, right. He knows what he is,
so he's gonna try to get them out of the
strike zone to chase a little bit. Try to miss

(26:06):
the barrel when he can, you know, I think, look,
if you're John Schneider in this game taking around that
lineup one time, anything after that's a phone start.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
If I can get four out of you, that's a
weird r I think.

Speaker 24 (26:16):
That's how they have to look at it. The one
thing I'll say about Max, he's a heavyweight fighter, right,
He's Muhammad Ali's George Boorman. He's the guy that wants
to be out there. So with whatever stuff he has,
don't bet against him. I said that the last time
he took the bump. I'll say it again here. But
stuff wise, here's the problem. If the Dodgers make him
throw it in the strike zone.

Speaker 5 (26:34):
They can do damage against him.

Speaker 2 (26:36):
Don't ignore that.

Speaker 25 (26:37):
There's the Dodgers are so different than mirrors Chase, don't
get the other it's those first two ranges are gonna
be very interesting.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
When you look at what Hap sures he could do against.

Speaker 27 (26:48):
His team, because it could be decided then, yeah, no
doubt very quick. And look to the point of by
the way he wants to he's gonna want to cruise
at the end of the day. So that's why this
thing is done.

Speaker 25 (27:00):
People are gonna pay fifteen million dollars to thirteen to
do it, fourteen to do it, fifteen plus million.

Speaker 2 (27:06):
He's gonna stay in this game, He's gonna get continue.
Is he getting four four paychecks next year? No? Right,
I've never heard. Yeah, that's the way. I mean, that's
gonna be a five per snids trying to get him
off that plump tonight.

Speaker 8 (27:21):
Yeah.

Speaker 13 (27:22):
I think forth kind of the magic number right now?
Right for Max shirts, there's fourteen that he's appearing in
a World series.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
The record, that is your record?

Speaker 13 (27:30):
Think about that, you know, taking them not already the
World Series for the Tigers back in twenty twelve, the
Nationals in twenty nineteen, the Rangers in twenty twenty three,
and let's not forget about who postseason run.

Speaker 2 (27:40):
With the Dodger. This guy has been on this mound
at Dodger.

Speaker 13 (27:44):
Stadium in his oponents uniform tonight. So there's a lot
of emotion. I'm sure that we'll go into it. A
lot of familiarities. And that's look up the numbers. Have
either of you faced Max Serzer in your career?

Speaker 2 (27:56):
I assume Kevin you did. What was your numbers? I
think it was so for eight if mine.

Speaker 25 (28:02):
I faced his rookie years, like going to his first year,
so I got to see like the whole different scale of.

Speaker 2 (28:08):
It than thirteen. I think it was over four. Yeah,
I had no chance. He's another I am. I would
add no chance.

Speaker 25 (28:15):
As he goes up here and he'll get you a
chase up there, and I love swinging at that for
no reason.

Speaker 2 (28:21):
But he's not gonna do anything. And then he just
go underneath and get you to chase. But I think
I part of I've been the one time. Yeah, I
faced them a couple of times in spring training, never
in the regular season. And then last year, my last
year playing, he was on a rehab start in round
Rock and on the ranters, and I popped him with
Opotacco Homer.

Speaker 13 (28:37):
Sorry, I jes his shoulders out there like the Homer.

Speaker 9 (28:43):
That.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
What about Taylor Glass?

Speaker 1 (28:46):
Now?

Speaker 2 (28:46):
Glass now I am over. I believe to off of him.
He's nasty. He's been spring sure. Yeah, And we came
up together with that pirates for a little bit together there.
Glass is a great friend of mine.

Speaker 9 (28:57):
But that crewball comes out of the sky, and I
would is never a big fan of right handed throw balls.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
He has a really good one.

Speaker 13 (29:03):
Yes, yes he does, Yes, he does. Well, it's gonna
be a pitching matchup. We'll see if if you know,
at some point today you get the link, because that's
been the key for the Dodgers, right, The key has
been the length. When they go six plus, you can
set up the Bulkan the way you want and Jim,
I think the thing you have to look at we
haven't really run into this this series. The Dodgers are

(29:23):
going to play three games in a row. If you
get backed up, that bulken is very thin, and we
saw that. We saw that in game one. So if
you get backed up here with glass now or Showhy
and perhaps a shortened start, it could make things very
interesting for the Blue Jays, perhaps advantage their offense.

Speaker 2 (29:41):
Yeah, I mean that's the key for tag Lass Thos.
You got to try to get only count outs and
you got.

Speaker 10 (29:46):
To build the strike zone and you get take throw
of those break and balls early in the count mix
him up when you got to throw stripes, because you
know what the Blue Jays plan is going to be
in this first couple limits, right, we'll want to take
we want to build the pitch count up, try to
get you so if you're finally go right out of
him and and you know, mix your stuff. I mean,
his breaking balls are unheitable when they're on.

Speaker 2 (30:07):
This is a this is a tough kid. And remember
he's been dominant this posts because at thirteen or two
thirds of eas with worn earned running eighteen punch outs
and this guy is just dominant. So he just needs
to do what he does.

Speaker 10 (30:18):
And then for Gig Roberts, it's like big breath and
leave him in because your breath and leave him in,
faces all over and no, that's okay, leave him in,
let him.

Speaker 2 (30:25):
Pitch out of it because I'd rather have him at
eighty percent of the sixth inning than what else you got.
So you got to get him deep. Yeah one, And
I feel like Tyvit Glastman has really prepared for this moment.

Speaker 5 (30:37):
His whole career in the big leagues.

Speaker 9 (30:39):
The story has been, Yeah, this guy's electric kids, unbelievable stuff,
and for one hundred hasn't been able to be on
the field when it mattered most last year.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
It really took a toll on him missing out on
that world series.

Speaker 9 (30:48):
When I'm not being able to pick, I feel like
Dave is going to let him go tonight, and he
knows how much this game needs to him. In this series,
grew up her heart high schools, an LA kid, grew
up a doctor's fam. I feel like it really is
going to mean a lot to him. I feel like
going to answer the same tonight, Well who's got better hair?

Speaker 2 (31:02):
Hey?

Speaker 8 (31:02):
Were you?

Speaker 9 (31:02):
I mean, that's got to be the big question on
the field. So tell me what you think he needs
to start gating through the world series side. I'm gonna
go Tyler Glass one.

Speaker 13 (31:09):
I'm already an Cole Tucker or Tyler Glass. Now send
your votes in now at em week Network.

Speaker 5 (31:17):
You have way more voting affair.

Speaker 2 (31:19):
It's there. It's a different kind of Ye.

Speaker 5 (31:20):
He's more of a wave.

Speaker 2 (31:21):
I'm more of a curl.

Speaker 13 (31:23):
Very true, good description, good differences being of description. Let's
just give it to you. Right now, the sun is
training in Los Angeles and it's not even going to
be the hottest day of the series. We're going to
get into the nineties the next couple of days. So
that's kind of interesting too, when you go from playing
at Rogers Center in the Dome to hear it a
little bit of change of the weather, at least for
the guys from Toronto. You think also about traveling. Yesterday

(31:45):
was a travel day, A little different when you go
Canada state side.

Speaker 2 (31:49):
Don't talk to the Blue Days about it.

Speaker 13 (31:50):
They have to do it all season long. Dodgers had
a bit of a stattoo on Sunday getting over birth
coaches in so there's a coach getting here on time.
The media work outs yet separate. Clay, Kevin Franzen and
I also had a bit of trouble getting You're goad. Hey,
it's a different story for a different day. We're not
play this so we're gonna no. So you know, I
do think those travel days are built in there to

(32:11):
be a day of rest. But like I said, you're
coming up against three straight games. There's a lot of
strategy in that. If this is going to go deeper,
this series is going to go seven, you've got to
play with that.

Speaker 2 (32:20):
At this point.

Speaker 13 (32:20):
Tied one one, you love that and you feel like
we're seeing the best of both teams. If we can
get the best of all teams, we will have a
seven game series. And I want to start here. Let's
pick an MVP.

Speaker 12 (32:31):
So far for the two games, I'm not gonna wait.
I'm gonna jump right in after watching you do that's
around times about these curve balls.

Speaker 2 (32:46):
With two strikes, like, are you freeing? Give me me
splitter at home. Let's see if he's been listening.

Speaker 28 (32:51):
You know how many balls he's broke, how many free
ball counts he's been in none in the entire postseason.
Tell me how many he's still have fifteen pitches with
a three ball. That's unbelievable. It's insane, It's insane.

Speaker 9 (33:04):
He's pitching on a different level, right, Yeah, I feel
like for me through two games, it's got to be Yamamoto,
just for what it means for this Dodgers team to
not have to dig into that bullpen in Game two,
to come back, get the extra day's rask, get your
guys in some vps into both of them settings.

Speaker 5 (33:18):
It refreshes that whole pitching.

Speaker 9 (33:19):
Staff, and Dave Roberts has a lot to work with
tonight as far as health goes. So I feel like
Yamamoto is set the tone coming into Game three, just
where the Dodgers are at.

Speaker 17 (33:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (33:28):
And by the way, when we say this, Jenny, what
we're saying is Jumamoto until Tony winds it.

Speaker 29 (33:33):
A man just just to be clear on how this
plays out. Now, we're doing every at this point in
the time, all right, yeah, yeah, yeah, I'll.

Speaker 13 (33:47):
Not forget that the Blues have won a game, So
your MVP can come from Toronto if you still choose it.
But Freddie who after.

Speaker 25 (33:54):
Game one it would been Audison bars are easy, no doubt, right,
because I mean he's really kind of flip the script
on the entire You try to put him ordult Marshall,
but there's a few run home run right in that moment,
flipped the entire what everyone was thinking first, right, and
that's and that's where that's sorry.

Speaker 2 (34:12):
So I'm gonna stick in the catching region in this.
I'm gonna will Smith. I like that he had, you know,
obviously goes puts the team ahead. It's starting.

Speaker 25 (34:21):
I knocked in the first in the first game, second
game goes up, so what's him on top one?

Speaker 8 (34:25):
Not right?

Speaker 25 (34:27):
They had to score in the first like they this
year they're forty seven to eleven where they score in
the first, not about scoring first, but score in the
first inning. They're four to zero in the in the postseason.
There's something about that, right, like playing out the front.
So we'll spit did there. But then if they tie up,
you know, next thing, you know, what do we gotta do?
We go seventeen straight batters retired by Kevin Gosman.

Speaker 2 (34:49):
And Hay Shipps, and he puts the team off the top.

Speaker 25 (34:52):
Yeah, And I just feel like the way that he
is commanding, Like I feel like there's an I always
think about Buds Wester pos this catching you always call
a head E's you'll look in and you're an eighties
because why because he's calm.

Speaker 2 (35:05):
Everything's calm.

Speaker 25 (35:06):
That's Will Smith, all right, But everything is everything is
about him, him in the way that Yamoto worked the
other day, but even the way that he got some
of those roblessing.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
The way you got Will time back into his own
the other day. Just for me right now in this moment,
Will SMITHVB.

Speaker 8 (35:21):
Yeah, I like the call.

Speaker 14 (35:22):
I do.

Speaker 10 (35:22):
I'm gonna stick for they ALLIROA, but I like the
call because I understand, you know, they're kind of complimentary that.

Speaker 2 (35:27):
So he's a great Yamamoto performance.

Speaker 10 (35:29):
Though I think we have to make sure Will Smith
gets enough credit for that performance, not just calling the
game and the fish sequence saying, but the frame.

Speaker 2 (35:37):
And we stole price right, here's the dude. What was
Freddy's Live the other day?

Speaker 25 (35:43):
It's it's nice when you can you can hit it
flee with five, five, six pitches.

Speaker 2 (35:48):
Right, Yeah, it makes the game a lot. So I
like that man. Ye scouting perspective, we call it eighty
command twenty out of.

Speaker 25 (35:54):
Eighty and it's just special that kid like because again
the Liscom stuff that we've we've brought up in the
because he is he is a short right with the
way that Paul hovers on the you know, outside of.

Speaker 2 (36:06):
His own able to pop you up top. But I
mean the mix of matches, Yeah, I get it. I
get it.

Speaker 13 (36:12):
Okay, Well we're going to earmark your m VT is
actually how that changes.

Speaker 2 (36:15):
After game because you guys all went with a Dodger.

Speaker 13 (36:18):
I'm gonna go with the blue Jay because they did
win game one and they want it in grand fashion
and I'm not going to pick out as in Barger.
I am going to go with all Hundkirk because I
think what he's shown this place.

Speaker 2 (36:29):
Oh no, say it and say it that way. So
I'm gonna go all.

Speaker 13 (36:37):
But I'll be interested to see after game breach tonight
how that changes.

Speaker 2 (36:40):
Obviously, who takes the two to one lead who.

Speaker 13 (36:42):
Takes command of this series, And we'll find out that
very shortly as we're counting down the first pitch here
at Dodgers City and much more to Kong will rewind.

Speaker 2 (36:51):
Not the World series so far.

Speaker 13 (36:53):
They get see the best interviews that we brought to

Hi, Doctor Stadium.

Speaker 13 (38:33):
Her usual with the Doctor's m bag is it's through
international seats from Major League base roll. How proud are
you to watch this, to watch the numbers grow, to
watch the fan base croup.

Speaker 2 (38:43):
You know what, It's been a great couple of games
so far, great matchup for US.

Speaker 25 (38:47):
I think the idea of having a Canadian team in
the US team builds on all of our international efforts, you.

Speaker 2 (38:55):
Know, coupled obviously with the things you got.

Speaker 11 (38:57):
Players from all over the world participating players in the matchup,
and you know, the interest has been phenomenal. Our ratings
have been really strong. We just got our Canadian number
for the first two games, seven million.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
People in Wanda. Really awesome for us. Well, every think
of this is broke, right. We've been talking about that
that this is what fifteen to.

Speaker 30 (39:16):
Sixteen different franchises now with the Blue Jays being in
the World Series is points head. That's huge and people
need to start understanding that that the parody might not
be so much on the the money side, but.

Speaker 2 (39:28):
The players side, right, as far as the talent and
everything going forward.

Speaker 11 (39:31):
Yeah, I think that we've been very fortunate in that,
you know, we have avoided situations where it's the same
teams over and over again, and obviously a mix of
teams helped fume growth in the game.

Speaker 2 (39:44):
You know, fans want teams that can win, and the
only the hardest watt time.

Speaker 11 (39:49):
To keep fans is when they feel that they're operating
at a disadvantage or you know, really don't have a
realistic chance to win.

Speaker 2 (39:56):
So mixing the team's up really important.

Speaker 9 (39:58):
What would you say to the fans who say that
the Dodgers are ruining baseball?

Speaker 2 (40:03):
Look, the thousands have done a phenomenal job. They're a
well run organization. They driven revenue for themselves and for
the league.

Speaker 11 (40:12):
Everything they've done is within the rules, showing a massive
commitments and winning, and you know, I just can't be
critical of that.

Speaker 10 (40:19):
So we're gonna have a record number of tyeballs on
Major League Baseball overseas, Canada, US, Asia, everywhere.

Speaker 2 (40:27):
The World Baseball Classic has been a huge hit. Twenty
twenty eight. Here in Los Angeles, the Olympics are coming.
Will Major League Baseball participate? Is there a chance that
works out?

Speaker 11 (40:36):
Yeah, we're still working and making progress on that topic.
You know, Casey glossing them and the people.

Speaker 31 (40:44):
At LA twenty eight.

Speaker 11 (40:45):
If I'm really doing in terms of working for us
trying to find a state gole, you know, hats off
to the Fox people. They've shown great flexibility in terms
of working with us to try to make it happen.
We're waiting to get some responses back from the Players
Association and hopefully we can put all those pieces together
in a way that allows us to participate.

Speaker 2 (41:06):
I know that the World Series is a time for.

Speaker 13 (41:08):
Me to be able to just smock dates out the
spot in the game. As we're talking about the commissioner
of rot Banford, do any outdates on expansion that you
can share with us, You know, really.

Speaker 2 (41:18):
Nothing new on that topic. What I would have said
and continue to say. I think we should expand. I
think there are a lot of.

Speaker 11 (41:25):
Cities that have an interest in Major League Baseball and
we should try to meet that interest.

Speaker 2 (41:30):
I'm hopeful that before I'm done, we will have at
least picked two franchises. I thought they're going to be playing.

Speaker 11 (41:36):
But we have a lot of great cities interested in
you know, states where they've already gone ahead and made
funding commitments, and I hope weren't a position to take
advantage earlier this season.

Speaker 2 (41:47):
You adown said ABS will be in play next year.

Speaker 32 (41:50):
I think it was perfect when School Struck Out was
in Nae Manchanda, the first city of the All Third Games.

Speaker 2 (41:55):
Depth the element right there, film here we go. It's fast.
It's like everything that.

Speaker 8 (42:00):
We know about it is gonna be good.

Speaker 2 (42:02):
What are what are you most excited about? And are
the umpires because they have to sign their new agreement.
Are they all on board? Yeah? Look, first of.

Speaker 33 (42:11):
All, you know, our umpires take great pride in the
fact that they do a tremendous job called balls strikes,
and you know, our interest in ABS should in no way.

Speaker 2 (42:23):
Be taken as a reflection a reflection on the quality
of the work that they do.

Speaker 11 (42:28):
They've been really cooperative and cooperative and I think they
will continue to be.

Speaker 2 (42:33):
For me, the system, the Challenge system.

Speaker 34 (42:36):
In particular, gives us the opportunity to fix a miss
in a high leverage situation so that you don't have
aaa miss affecting a game more importantly or equally importantly.

Speaker 11 (42:51):
I do think that that overlay of technology, and believe me,
this technology.

Speaker 2 (42:56):
Is really impressive. It is a good thing for the game,
particularly in terms of attracking a younger audience.

Speaker 11 (43:04):
You know, the renderings on the boards an additional form
of entertainment for the fans.

Speaker 2 (43:08):
In the ballpark. So it's all positive from my perspector
at this point.

Speaker 9 (43:13):
For from an LB's point of view, are the Challenge
System and ABS married?

Speaker 2 (43:17):
Are they all as one or could we see it
often where we see one another. We've obviously tested full ABS.
I'll be honest with it that.

Speaker 11 (43:29):
I think it was input from players that largely convinced
us that we should go to the challenge system.

Speaker 2 (43:36):
They made some really good points about how av full
abs would affect a catching position, threaming patcher.

Speaker 11 (43:45):
You those some people's jobs, you know, and they're correctly
sensitive on that issue.

Speaker 35 (43:52):
So I think that this is the right step for
right now. I guess is the way I say it.
The NBA got blacked with some difficult.

Speaker 2 (43:58):
News in terms of gamble.

Speaker 10 (44:00):
We startbolt the coach and a player arrested, and obviously
as a family continues to grow in the US on sports,
what is BASICALLYGUE Baseball doing to make sure that.

Speaker 2 (44:09):
Those kind of things don't happen in their store?

Speaker 36 (44:12):
Yeah, Look, we have a really robust integrity program. You know,
people often ask, you know, why do you have relationships
with sports books. We have relationships with sportsbooks because we
get information from them that put us in a position
to catch people who are doing the wrong thing.

Speaker 11 (44:28):
I mean, there are abirations and betting patterns, There is
geographic information.

Speaker 2 (44:36):
I mean they can literally tell you if they beat
displaced from a ballpark.

Speaker 11 (44:40):
And you don't have that kind of information unless you're
working with our partners in this space. We spend a
ton of time on education with our players so that
they make sure that they understand what the rules.

Speaker 2 (44:52):
Are and that their obligation.

Speaker 11 (44:55):
In terms of their relationship with betting is different than
everybody else in the world. And it's a combination of
those two things, integrity monitoring and education.

Speaker 13 (45:05):
We're talking about the commissioner, Rob Manfred and we all
know that after the twenty sixth season, the collective bargaining
Agreement will be up.

Speaker 1 (45:11):
How does this off.

Speaker 13 (45:12):
Season get spent between the players Association and yourself with
at all from a communication pattern to start kind of
laying out a plan.

Speaker 37 (45:20):
Look, we try to have a regular kind of cadence
of communication with the MLBPA that obviously should get closer
to the end of the contract that starts to pick
up to get ready, and I think it's important to
have more regular communication.

Speaker 2 (45:36):
Before you get close to deadlines and really getting into
boots and trying to hammer something out.

Speaker 11 (45:42):
So, you know, our focus right now we want to
give our fans hopefully seven great world series gigs.

Speaker 2 (45:50):
We got a whole other year and that's.

Speaker 5 (45:51):
What we're focused.

Speaker 32 (45:52):
Yeah, but that focus is easy to come on off there,
you know, in less than a week. And so I
asked that because the doctors have done such a great job.
You mentioned that earlier as far as bringing repting for
making baseball.

Speaker 30 (46:04):
But it's always that fight between the you know, the
gut that have to have thoughts about trying to to
find their way, Like how easy is that on your
end to try to get it to the table. At
the same time, on the other side, that's a piece
of cake. I mean, look, you know, whenever you have

(46:28):
gardaining where you have you know.

Speaker 11 (46:29):
Multiple organizations employers, however you want to think about them,
you know, you have to work with those different boots.

Speaker 35 (46:36):
They have different interests, and you know, the trick is
to find a set of proposals that everybody can support.

Speaker 2 (46:44):
And you know it's it's not the easiest thing in
the world.

Speaker 11 (46:47):
But you know, over the last thirty years we've done
a pretty good job of finding things that people can
support and avoiding you know, what nobody wants to see,
which is.

Speaker 2 (46:56):
An interruption in the game totally.

Speaker 9 (46:58):
And I see behind the cage over here. We got
seasons back to hear and we've got through Princeville. There
are a lot of players here on MLB's behalf. Has
that helped that relationship? You guys have those players help
massage the really hide over the players. I think the
cat program has been really important to us. I mean, then,
first of all, maybe most important from my perspective. They're
a lot of fun, man.

Speaker 2 (47:19):
I mean, I'm kind of tell you to tell they
have fun together and they're fun to have around. But
you know, it is a kind of communication.

Speaker 6 (47:26):
You know this.

Speaker 11 (47:27):
It goes on between players and former players kicking ones
and recently off the field.

Speaker 2 (47:33):
It's different than it is with somebody who didn't play
the game, for sure, And I think that.

Speaker 11 (47:37):
Line of communication, you know, it's not as substitute for
bargaining with.

Speaker 2 (47:42):
The MLBPA or any of that, but it is a
great line in terms of helping us make good decisions
as we go. I got the two final questions here.
Number one, what's the one thing you would like the
picks in the next CBA? And number two, when do
you finally get to expansion?

Speaker 10 (47:58):
Because I know at some point going to make two teams,
will we see dramatic geographic realignment which could help less
of the travel burden and even for television repic I have.

Speaker 36 (48:09):
To tell you one and two are related in my view,
because you know, if I could six to one thing
I do, our postseason is so good, and if.

Speaker 2 (48:21):
I always get a little frustrated when we have those.

Speaker 38 (48:25):
Score game days, which we have a lot of now,
and you have an East Coast team in the West
Coast team and trying to make them fit within those
four windows so that everybody has an opportunity or the
best opportunity to watch the team.

Speaker 2 (48:39):
They want to watch. And I do think that there
is there are.

Speaker 11 (48:43):
Things that can be done, particularly you know, more geographic
kind of alignment that would help us in that postseason.

Speaker 2 (48:52):
If you know, it would take if you have two
West Coast teams playing that ten o'clive window becomes a
plus not a minus. Right And when they say it's
not a very complicated.

Speaker 13 (49:02):
Thank you so much for your time, your sure rob
Man friend is majorly in baseball. I can take a
couple of minutes to night walk you up and give
us some insight of.

isn't team in the Toronto Blue Jays. It'll be George
Springer leading off as a designated hitter. Nason Lucas will
hit second and he will be in left field. Rodimer
her Junior is hitting third, playing first base, with Boba

(01:01:09):
Schett back in the starting lineup at second base in
the cleanup spot. Dolton bar Show the lost handa hitter
sitting fifth in center field, the catcher Alejandro Kirk in
the sixth spot, and the bottom of the order features
Addison Barger in right field, Ernie Clement at third base,
and onres Cmentez at short stop. The Blue Jays will
be opposing Tyler glassnow starting to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

(01:01:32):
The starter for the Verna Blue Jays Tonight will be

as the DH Lukie Becks is at short stop, Freddy
Freeman isn't first, Will Smith is catching as the cleanup hitter,

(01:01:53):
k Hernandez and left, and Andy Pajez is in the
starting lineup in center field. Go through the predictions forts
tonight begins you, Kevin Frandon, what do you got on
the duck end?

Speaker 2 (01:02:06):
Well, the predictions as far as like who wins the game?

Speaker 25 (01:02:09):
Yes, well, I got a question from you guys, who's
the most important person tonight in the game?

Speaker 2 (01:02:14):
Before we get to that, because the other day dude
nailed it with Max Unsy, it kind.

Speaker 44 (01:02:20):
Of kind of leads into my predictions where you at,
I am that Tyler Glasstin the most important player in
this game, Jady.

Speaker 13 (01:02:27):
I am a George Springer is the most important.

Speaker 31 (01:02:29):
Person in this Say Jam and I are in total
agreement on this because if he cannot get deeper into
the game, like pass that bid six eight, that's the sixth. Well,
if he can't get in that spot, that is not
a good thing for this Dogger team going full right,
because he even puts e the more pressure on show

(01:02:50):
you O night. Do you want to have as many
guys ready to go and healthy I mean healthy as
far as number of business teams with showy goes?

not have to complete the five.

Speaker 2 (01:03:12):
God's winning. See, I'll the Dodgers winning too.

Speaker 44 (01:03:16):
I just I watched next Susuring his last start against Seattle,
and I love how hard he fought. But he was
facing the Seattle lineup that's not the Dodger lin um,
and he doesn't have the same stuff he has. It's
not that I don't think he gets to the lineup once.
I really wonder I can get through it quite the
stuff he has. I don't think you'll see this Dodger
line up chase like the Seattle non lineup did. I

(01:03:37):
believe the Dodgers are gonna win this game, and I
think they're gonna actually blown by. I think we're gonna
have our first law of game leek.

Speaker 13 (01:03:43):
I don't think we're gonna see a blah. I do
also believe that the Dodgers will take a three and
ultimately go up two games to one.
