you don't just feel it in the stadium. You fell
it on two eighty five, seventy five eighty five, I

(02:02):

FIFA facts, fun FIFA fats throughout the whole entire show,
So make sure you stay tuned because each and every
topic I might throw in one or two fun FIFA facts.

(02:26):
But I'm telling you fun FIFA facts. I love it,
you know. I love to keep you guys informed about
FIFA right all day, every day because this is what
it is all about. No, sports lovelies, let's talk about
Team USA. They're marching on. Yes, listen, the US and

(02:46):
men inter national team is heading to Round of sixteen
after an impressive run that saw them finishing first in
Group D before knocking off Bosnia two and HL in
round of thirty two. Now the Team USA has its
biggest tests to come yet. The showdown is going down
in Belgium. Now make sure to mark your calendar because Monday,

(03:10):
July sixteen, USA will face Belgium in Round of sixteen.
In the Round of sixteen with a spot in the
World Cup quarter finals on the line. But here's the thing.
It's a win or go home from here on out,
Spruce Lovely, Team USA will have to do it without
one of its top offensive weapon. Yes, FIFA has confirmed

(03:33):
that US striker Flutterin Bellagon has been suspended for one
match following his red card against Bosnia. Now that was
a big loss for Americans, right because this basically means
someone else will have to step up in one of
the biggest matches of the tournament. Needless to say, the

(03:53):
Stars and Stripes are still flying high. But Monday's match
just got even more interesting. But here's the thing. We
got to talk about England. Okay, because England survived in Atlanta,
and let's just go full throttle in because this was
one of the wildest World Cup matches we've seen so far. Now,
England escape Atlanta with a dramatic victory over a Dr Congo.

(04:16):
But trust me, it wasn't easy. The match had everything
from big goals to lake drama and plenty of controversy,
leaving fans debating whether officials got it right. Social media
has been going crazy ever since. One thing gets hurt
in England survived and now they'll be facing Mexico in
Round of sixteen. Now listen, sports Lovelace, let me tell

(04:37):
you what this chick here has been up to. So
while we were quite before before you know Team USA
and of course England faced Dr Congo. There was an event, Yes,
my friend Sarah was an event and sports love lady,
So let me tell you something. I Thoseportsnetisa had a

(04:59):
chance to talk with one of the five starts. Yes,
that is correct. I had the opportunity to catch up
with Lady United defender Dominique Chanky doing a special fed
event ahead a Tmusa and their World Cup victory. But
here's the thing. It was an amazing event, right he
was signing autographs, he was talking to kids, he even

(05:22):
talked to me. He was just so nice and friendly,
and I definitely want you to check out the interview
that you know, just some of you guys can hear
what we actually spoke about when we were there, and
mind you, let's just keep this one hundred. It was
at Chick fil A, and all the people at Chick
fil A was so friendly and giving us so many

(05:44):
goodies and treats to take her. But most importantly, let's
get on to that interview. And here's the interview right now.
Oh my god, I'm so excited to see you here today.
And we're here at Chick fil A and John's Creek,
right yeah, So that's we are. So let's talk about
just the atmosphere right now. The fans are coming up
to you, enjoying the atmosphere. How do you feel?

Speaker 2 (06:07):
I feel bless you know, honestly, it's crazy to have
people to come here and asked me to sign stuff.
I was like, I used to be that kid coming
and asking people to sign stuff, and it's crazy that
I get to be to I get the opportunity to
be one of those people for the kids growing up.

Speaker 1 (06:25):
Absolutely so you're from a Alpharetta, Georgia.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Yeah, eighteen years old, Yes, ma'am.

Speaker 1 (06:30):
Talking about just your experience with the landing United.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
My experience of the landing and it's been incredible. They've
helped develop me in ways I didn't think it was possible.
They've always been supportive of me and always like call
me even the little things, not even the soccer part
of soccer. Yeah, the life and the life aspect of everything.
So it's it's crazy. They're really they're really supportive.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
I love that. Now if you do about just soccer.
What's happening right now? The World Cup right yeah, to
sighting time for the city. We see people embarking on
your home term. Let's talk about that.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
It's it's crazy to think about, Like I wanted to
go watch the Spain versus Caedburg game and at the
Bens and it's crazy to think about I played on
that field, the medium balls playing on the field Harry
meaning all the England team played on there. Today it's
crazy to think about all the big names that I
play that are playing there.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Yeah, so what and who are you rooting for it
right now?

Speaker 2 (07:26):
The USA of course? USA?

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Okay, game in an hour, one hour, so you get
n till seven thirty. Right, fans are keep coming in.
Is there anything you would like to say to maybe
just the younger kids that are looking up to you
right now?

Speaker 2 (07:41):
Just keep going, always, always put in the hard work,
because the hard works and one thing you can control.
You can't control anything else that happened. You just got
to control what you can control.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Absolutely, Thank you so much doing yes, Yes, Yes spirits
lovely s Fish. Shout out to Dominique, such a great,
awesome young man, and listen, shout out to Lani United
for making that possible as well. But let's stick here
for a minent with Atlanta United right now. The club
has made another roster move now, Atlanta United has traded

(08:13):
Saba Yes too, Real salt Lake, ending his time with
the Five Strikes. Now listen. Saba brought speed, creativity, and
plenty of memorable moments during his time in Atlanta, and
now he'll get a fresh start in Utah. Now listen.
Atlanta continues to just reshape its roster. It'll be interesting
to see what additional moves the front office has planned

(08:36):
and as they just kind of push towards the second
half of their MLS season. As far as FIFA twenty
twenty six World Cup goes, who do you have winning
the World Cup? Who do you see winning? Let us
know on social media? Hit us up, let us know,
Slide into those dms and give us your thoughts. Okay, yes,

(08:58):
now on on sports levelies, we must move on to
flowery wretch where we will get some fun FIFA bets,
fun FIFA bets. Now, listen, the team that wins the
FIFA World Cup doesn't actually get the world the real trophy. Right,
So I'm not sure if you knew this, but I

(09:20):
kind of solid go FIFA World Cup trophy. It never
leaves FIFA's possession. Now listen, the champions get to celebrate
with it, they get to take pictures, they get to
kiss it, they get to lift it over their heads,
and of course they have to give it back. Yeah,
they have to get it back, and instead they receive

(09:40):
a goal plated replica to keep forever. Now can you
even imagine? Do you think that would be something that
was sticked with you forever? Like I didn't even get
the real one. This is a go plated This isn't
the real deal. Or would you just be happy with
the replica. Either way, they do not get the real

(10:01):
deal trophy, only a rap looka. But here, here's the thing.
History is forever, and let's talk about our favorite thing
to talk about, and that is our dirty birds, right,
so listen the Atlanta Falcons. They are officially returning to
training camp in Flowery Branch, with Rioky's reporting on July

(10:21):
twenty fourth and veterans arriving on July twenty eighth. Now,
the first official full squad practice takes placed on July
twenty ninth, followed by ten public practices beginning on July
thirty first. Now fans will have ten opportunities to attend
open practice at IBM Performance Filled in Flowery Branch, beginning

(10:42):
with the Angle Back Together Saturday event on August first. Now,
there's plenty of time to start out for week one.
But here's the thing, minicamp, gay fans. So much to see, right,
so much to look at when it comes to this
team and what could be under Kevin Stephen cal Pits
is staying in the A. Yes, the team announced they've

(11:04):
signed the former first round pick to a three year
contract extension, lacking up one of the NFL's most athletic
tight ends of the foreseeable future. Now Listen, if there
were ever any doubts about Pits being part of Atlanta's
long term plans, the deal puts those two rest, and honestly,
it comes after the best season of his career. Now.

(11:25):
In twenty twenty five, Pits earned second team All Pro
honors after hauling in eighty eight receptions for nine hundred
and twenty eight yards and five touchdown, leading the Falcons
in both catches and receiving yards. He also became the
first tight end in franchise history to record multiple nine
hundred yard receiving seasons, joining Falcons legend twenty Gonzalez as

(11:47):
the only tight end in team's history with at least
eighty catches in a season. Let's not forget this is
the same Calpits who made history as a rookie in
twenty twenty one, becoming just the second rookie tight end
in NFL history to surpass one thousand receiving yards. Now,
after battling injuries and offensive inconsistencies over the past few season,

(12:09):
Pitts reminded everyone exactly why Atlanta selected him with the
number four overall pick in the twenty twenty one NFL Draft.
Now listen, Falcon defense. We are all betting that his
best football is still yet ahead of him. Right, the
sports ce lovelies, what do you think did the Falcons
make the right move by extending calpits And how big

(12:29):
of a season do you expect him to have this year?
Let us know. Hit us up, just slide in through
those dms and give us your comments. And most importantly,
sports ce lovelies, this is all about our dirty birds,
because we're riding for our dirty birds this season. Right,
I can't wait and listen, It's going to be a
great season. Let's go dirty birds. Now listen, sports celebties,

(12:54):
I have to give you another yet fun FIFA fats fun,
FIFA Fatsishtano Ronaldo listen, poetry goals. Ronaldo became the first
male player to score in five different World Cups eight
goals total. He's currently appearing in this year's twenty twenty
six FIFA World Cup and listen. Lionel Messi has also

(13:18):
scored across six World Cups. So that is major. So
let's head on over to NBA News. Yes, because listen,
the biggest stories of the off season is officially here
because you know why, King Brian Lebron James is leaving
the LA Lakers. Yes, after eight seasons listen in Purple
and Goal, Lebron has informed the organization that he'll continue

(13:41):
his career elsewhere as he prepares for his twenty fourth
NBA season. Now, this decision comes after the early Cares
season ended with the sweep at the hands of Oklahoma
City Thunder in the Western Conference semifinals. Now, according to reports,
Lebron wants to spend the next chapter of his career
playing meaningful compact basketball, will continue to compete for another championship,

(14:03):
possibly going to Golden States. Rumor has it, but the
Lakers have already thanked Lebron for his incredible eight year run,
which included delivering the franchise twenty twenty NBA Championship and
adding countless milestones to his legacy and his legendary resume.

(14:25):
But here's the part that makes this story even more history.
In twenty twenty four, Lebron and of course Bronnie James
became the first father son duo in NBA history two
plays together in a regular season game, a dream Lebron
had been talking about for years and years, and we
even talked about it here. But here's the thing. Mission's accomplished, right,

(14:46):
The mission has been accomplished. History has been made. Now
the big question becomes what happens to Bronnie. As of
right now, Brinnie remains on the contrart with the Lakers
and report syndicate LA Lakers will. They have a guaranteed
contract for the next season, so unless he's traded, he'll
stay in LA and continue his development with the organization.

(15:08):
And if his father is wearing another uniform, hmm, it's
just gonna be that. So now, sports Loveliest, the biggest
question is where does the King go? Nets again, as
I'm saying, possibly the Golden State Warriors continue to be
one of the hottest names in the rumor mill. I've
always said, look, Lebron needs to go back to Cleveland

(15:30):
and finish it out. Finish it at home where it
all started. And returned to Cleveland has always been just
a fan's dreaming dream of just another homecoming through and
I agree, But maybe perhaps Miami, where Lebron won two
NBA championships doing it one of his greatest runs of

(15:52):
his career. But again, no destination has been announced, right,
So whatever Lebron lands or wherever he lands, it instantly
changes the championship conversation. So, sports lovelies, the father and
son chapter maybe coming to an end, but Lebron James
story still not over, yes yet, So make sure you
stay tuned because we'll be reporting, I'm pretty sure, as

(16:15):
soon as we get more updates. Right, So, I'm gonna
pass the basketball down to the kaka news of our
Atlanta Hawks. Yeah, sports lovelies, it's here, so holy, it's here.
The future of our atl Hots officially takes center stage
this week. Atlanta has announced its twenty twenty sixth Summer

(16:36):
League roster, and all eyes will be on this year's
Rooky class. Leading the group is eighth overall draft pick
Kingston Flemings, along with fellow draft selection Zubie Edge of
four and of course Henry Vassar, now returning second year
Ford ASO. Newell also had lies the roster after gaining

(16:57):
variable NBA experience through his rookie camp and pain that
the Hawks are bringing in a talented the midst of
young prospects, including some of the guys from the Ji League.
Right now, listen, this is going to be an Etima
opportunity for them to just earn more training camp opportunities
and experience. Now on the coaching side, assistant coach Antonio

(17:20):
Lang willie the Hawks during the Salt Lake City Summer
League while sun Jay Lumpkin takes over in Las Vegas
for his first summer league head coach assignment. Now let's
talk schedule, because Atlanta Hawks will open Summer League playing
in Salt Lake City on July fourth today, Yes, against
the Utah Jazz, before taking on ok See on July

(17:44):
sixth and Memphis on July seventh. Then it's off to Vegas. Now,
the Hawks tip off NBA Summer League against the San
Antonio Spurs on July ninth, followed by Brooklyn on July eleventh,
Boston on July thirteenth, and Memphis on July sixteenth. Now
this is where fans will get their first extent look
at Atlanta's new young talent before a training camp begins

(18:05):
this fall. Now, lista sports lovelies all the court. Right,
there has been a lot of things going on in
the off season, and let's talk about it. Are Atlanta Hawks.
They just are continuing proving that basketball is about much
more than of course, wins and losses right.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
So.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
Earlier this week, the Atlanta Hawks Basketball Academy wrapped up
this fifth annual Ladyballer Summer Hoop Fast powered by Google,
welcoming more than one hundred and thirty girls between the
ages of eight and fifteen for an unforgettable four day
experience at Sutten Middle School. Yes, yes, yes, campers worked
on shooting, ball, handling, defense, and basketball fundamentals, but this

(18:51):
camp went much deeper than basketball. Participants explored stem education,
learnt about artificial intelligence, ah of course, practice mindfulness, and meditation,
connected with women leaders working in technology and professional sports now.
Former Hawks guard Tony Delk also stopped by to share
his basketball journey while encouraging campers to continue learning both

(19:14):
on and off court now. One of the highlights was
a panel discussion called Beyond the Court, How AI and
inclusivity are changing the game. Leaders from both the Hawks
and Google discuss how technology is just shaping the future
while encouraging these young athletes to dream beyond the game
of basketball Now. As Hawks Executive vice president and Chief

(19:37):
of Technology and Innovation Officer Kim rimetto put it, you
don't have to choose between being an athlete and being
an innovator. You can be both and that's exactly what
this program is about. Every camper also received a Hawks
and Google swat bag before the rewrapped up with a

(19:58):
high energy pep rally featuring of course, the One, the
Only Harry the Hawk and the atl Hawks Dancers and
of course the flight crew. Now, this is just another
example of the Hawks investing in Atlanta's future, not just
developing athletes, but helping develop future engineers, business leaders, and innovators. Now,

(20:19):
sports celevelies between the excitement of summer league roster preparing
to hit the court and community programs like Lady Ballers
continue to empower the next generation. It's gonna be and
it's been another busy week for our atl Hawks organization.
We'll be watching closely as of course, the Ricky's Tate,
the Florida, Salt Lake Cities, and Las Vegas to see

(20:41):
who's ready to make an impact head into the twenty
twenty six twenty seventh season. Now listen, Sports Lovelies coming
up after the break. You need to grab your tea
because it's special or certain NFL goat calling a new
play with the singer actress style icon. Hmm, do you

(21:04):
know who that is? Well, I'll let you know because
we'll be spilling the sports tea when we come back.
Will be bad. That's sports lovely. The sports tea time
is now, so make sure grab your coffee, your tea,

(21:25):
your energy drink, your water bottles, whatever it is that
is keeping you hydrated today. Because the Internet detectors have
clocked in for another shift in this week's sports tea
look has everybody asking, is the gold quarterback Tom Brady
calling a new play with singer, actress, and style icon

(21:48):
Teana Taylor. Now, before y'all start picking out wedding colors,
pump the brakes for a minute. The roomymail kicked into
overdrive after the two were reportedly spotted together a few
high profile events, and social media immediately did what social
media does best zoom in, slow it down, circling everything,

(22:09):
read and listen. Declare case closed. Listen. Apparently, just standing
next to someone in twenty twenty six isn't enough to
get you married by lunchtime. Okay, sporst lovelies. As of
right now, neither Tom nor Tiana has confirmed their dating,
So until somebody say otherwise, we're fouling. This one under

(22:32):
interesting but not just confirmed. Okay, Now, I will say this.
If these two are just friends, they've accidentally won the
award for most talked about friendship of the week. And
if they are dating, well, congratulations to the Papa Rozzi
because they'll be getting plenty of over time. Now, squirts, lovelies,

(22:54):
what's y'all think? Is this just another off season rumor
that got out of hand or is there actually something brewing?
Make sure Jearfrey comments and remember we're sipping tea, not
spilling fats that haven't been confirmed. Okay, and that's your
sports tea for the week. Coming up after the break. Answer,

(23:16):
WNBA news, stay tuned, will be bad. Welcome back, Welcome
back to sports level, he said. Before we talk about
w NBA news and of course Dream Basketball, I want

(23:40):
to give you fun fafa fats, fun fafa fats. Well,
sports lovelies, listen, The dog who saved the Cup is
my title right because in nineteen sixty six, the original
Jules Roomett World Cup trophy was stolen in London prior
to the tournament, and it was found a week later

(24:02):
wrapped in newspaper. Hid it in ambushes by a dog
named Pickles. Now that's or deal. Now here's the deal,
my little Pickles. It's time for WABA news. Okay, sweet lovelies, listen, listen.
Where we've got some milestones. We've got some bounce back opportunities,

(24:27):
and a lead that's proving every single night. While women's
basketball is a mussy TV, so let's jump right into it. Okay,
now listen to its lovelies, Let's talk about Atlanta Dream.
Because the Dream we're looking to keep the momentum rolling
Thursday night, but instead came away with a tough eighty
one to seventy six loss to the Washington misstance. Now,
if you are only looking at the final score, you'll

(24:50):
think Atlanta struggled all night, right, But that just wasn't
the case. The Dream actually controlled a lot of the game. Defensively,
they were flying around the court. Atlanta forest many eight turnovers,
turned those mistakes into twenty eight points, dominated the paint
with forty two points inside, and finished the night with
thirteen steals. Now that's stream basketball. Pressure the ball, create turnovers,

(25:11):
get out and run. But here's where things slipped away.
The fourth quarter. Washington simply made war winning plays when
it mattered most. Now, the Mystics closed the game stronger,
outscoring Atlanta in a final frame and stealing a game
that Dream had every listen, our Dream had every every

(25:35):
opportunity to win. But now the good news was Atlanta
did have much time to duell on that. They just didn't.
They didn't have time to do it. They were like,
you know, we gotta go on to the nets. It
just didn't have time to duell on that loss. But
the Dream came right back home today at Gatewreek Center
Arena and they looked to bounce back, you know, with

(25:56):
the bounce back performance against again the Golden State val
It was another opportunity to get back in the win column,
protect home court, and build somewhere momentum heading into the
second half of the season. Unfortunately, it was not that
simple and it was another frustrating finish.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
Now.

Speaker 1 (26:16):
Despite taking a fifty nine to fifty seven lead in
the fourth quarter of the Dream could not hold off
the Valkyries, falling eighty eight to eighty three. That's now
five straight losses for ire Atlanta team. The encouraging part,
the Dream continues to compete. The concerning part, closing games
has become the biggest issue. The dream have shown they

(26:38):
can defend, They've shown that they can force turn ups,
They've shown they can score in the paint. Now they
got to find a way to finish games over the
final ten minutes. Now. The good news is they'll have
a chance to regroup before their NETS tests and Atlanta
returns back to action on Thursday, July ninth, when they'll
be hosting the Seattle Storm at eight o'clock PM. You know,

(27:00):
Spruce lovelies, this feels like a big one ken the
Dreams snapped the losing street and get their season back
on track. We'll be watching. We definitely will be around,
so make sure you definitely stay tuned for Chicks and
the Sports for further news. But you know what, before
we ended, we got to talk about some more WNBA
news around the w NBA. Right, So here's the thing.

(27:23):
We just got to talk about something that's just more
more important or much bigger than basketball. Phoenix Mercury star
Alyssa Thomas has feaking out after revealing she has received
death threats and has been subjected to racial slurs following
the last week's game against the Indiana Fever. The Blacklash
came after Thomas was suspended one game for making contact

(27:46):
with Kaitlyn Clark's throat doing a matchup. But according to Thomas,
the online reaction has gone way too far. She told
reporters she didn't even realize the play had become such
a major story until after the game. Thomas said it
was unfortunate that it comes to this over basketball. A
lot of us, including myself, didn't even know the play

(28:08):
took place until after the game. Now we're being painted
as thugs. There's death threats out on us. It really
is unacceptable. She also had a message for the league's office.
Thomas criticized WNBA Commissioner Kathy Ingelbert, saying the league needs
to do more to protect its players from the online
abuse angrassment that often follows high profile incidents. The sports lovely.

(28:32):
So let's be clear, it's perfectly okay to disagree with
the play. It's okay to debate whether a foul deserve
a suspension. That's part of sports. With death threats, racial slurs,
and personal tests have absolutely no place in the game.
Players should be held accountable for what happens on the court,
but here's the thing, they should also be able to
compete without fearing the kind of hate that spills over

(28:55):
once the final buzzer sounds. As the WNBA continues to
grow and attract more fans than ever before, the league
is also facing the challenge of making sure its players
are protected not just physically on the court, but mentally
and emotionally off of it, because at the end of
the day, it is basketball and no game should ever

(29:16):
lead to hate or threats against another human being. So
make sure you hit the subscribe button, share the episode
with another sports fan, and follow us on all social media,
and no matter what your team does, we'll be right
here talking about it. That is our WNBA needs for
the week. Coming off after the break is our smate

(29:38):
ong moments, Stay.

Speaker 3 (29:39):
Tuned, will be better, sports Levely, sports Lovelies, check out
at and Dreaming.

Speaker 1 (29:59):

(30:46):
my god, Oh no she didn't. Oh no she didn't.
Oh oh no, this dreamy locome back walking back spares celevelies,
our smhl G moment is upon us and let's get

(31:06):
it right on to it. Okay, sports lovelies, I have
no words, Actually I do, yes, because our SMO women
G moment is officially off the charts. Taylor Swift and
Travis Kelsey are officially married. Yes, we spoke about this

(31:31):
week ago right now. Listen, you heard that right, the
superstar singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight and tight
and not Friday night at the legendary Madison Square Garden
in New York City. But wait, it gets even crazier.
Who officiated the wedding? Not a pastor, not a celebrity minister,
but Adam Sadler. Yeah, the Waterboys, Happy Gilmore and Billy

(31:56):
Madison himself was a surprise. Now, only Taylor and Travis
could pull something off like that, right, And if that
wasn't enough, music icon Stephen Nick's performed doing the celebration
as guests from the world of sports and entertainment looked on.
They'll talk about a wedding playlist. Now here's another dress.

(32:18):

Chicks in us FT we welcome.

Speaker 4 (34:10):
Welcome back, doctor Money. This is amazing. Congratulations on earning
your doctorate and releasing your second book. What inspired the
power of your pause and why do you believe this
message is so important right now?

Speaker 5 (34:26):
So first of all, thank you. Yes, and you know
this book really grew out of like seeing both professionally
and personally. You know, everyone has been in this survival mode,
you know, rushing, planning, the constant like to do. And
so you know, we're working with people who are successful,
you know, capable people, but they're exhausted and you know,

(34:49):
constantly moving from one thing to the next. And so
I think I realized people weren't actually living intentionally. And
so the book is an invitation to slow down, is
to slow down long enough to become aware of you know,
what you need, what you value, and just where.

Speaker 1 (35:03):
Are you going?

Speaker 5 (35:05):
And that's really where that came from.

Speaker 1 (35:08):
So, well, you know what many people they move through
life on what you call auto pilot. What are some
signs that so it may be operating in autopilot mode
without even realizing it.

Speaker 5 (35:21):
Yeah, so you know, sometimes I think when people are
they're doing things like without realizing it, right, And so
one sign is where you're feeling like you're constantly busy
but not necessarily fulfilled. You know, you're checking off tasks,
you know, meeting obligations, going through your day, but just
not really feeling present. Another sign is like feeling emotionally disconnected,

(35:44):
so you may not know you know, what you're feeling
because you're so focused on the next thing, and we
just don't sit in our emotions and it's not always
like autopilot isn't always obvious, right, so it's not always
obvious for you to know that it's there, and so
you may look success full, you know, while honestly being
completely disconnected and empty.

Speaker 1 (36:05):
Mm hmm, Oh my gosh.

Speaker 4 (36:07):
I think I know someone that sometimes like that.

Speaker 1 (36:10):
I'm not gonna name any names or pointing the elbows,
but here's the thing. Your book focus on transformative power
of stillness. Now, look, we in this culture here where
everything is celebrated, just having constant productivity, you know, pausing
sometimes can be viewed as.

Speaker 4 (36:30):
Weakness rather than strength. Can you explain this please?

Speaker 5 (36:35):
Yeah, you know, so we've been so conditioned, I think,
to believe that, like our worth is tied to our
product our productivity, right, so we have to be productive.
And so somewhere I think we just we learned that
resting is lazy. You know, slowing down means like I'm
falling behind, so I've got to stay ahead. And it's
just being busy just means that we're successful. Like we're

(36:56):
so conditioned to what we see around us, from social
media to just the way that we've been taught of
just the need to constantly move, and the reality is pausing.
You know, we see it. Some people can see it
as a weakness, but it's not a weakness, you know,
it's really strength. It's a sign that you are allowing
yourself the space to do what you need to do.

(37:18):
And I think some of the most important decisions are made,
you know, when we can stop, when we can create
space for what we need to think about, how we
need to realign ourselves. And so that's why I say,
like pausing, it's not stopping your life, like, it's helping
you move more intentionally.

Speaker 1 (37:35):
Absolutely, now as a therapist, I can definitely ask you
this question because sometimes I don't think that people realize
that just being productivety, you know, being productive and just
moving through life in fast paced sometimes it'll actually catch
up to you in many different forms.

Speaker 4 (37:52):
And sometimes people do.

Speaker 1 (37:54):
Have anxiety, which they didn't even know that that even existed.

Speaker 4 (37:58):
But if you look at just the relationship.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
Between burnout, anxiety and our inability to slow down and
be president, can you just kind of just tell us
just those relationships.

Speaker 5 (38:09):
Yeah, absolutely, I mean they're so they're so deeply connected. First,
you know, let's just call that like, there was just
so much connection in there. And I think that people
think that burnout happens because they're doing too much, but burnout, honestly,
it often is because they're not doing They're.

Speaker 1 (38:24):
Doing too much for too long.

Speaker 5 (38:25):
So there's no recovery, right, So it's not there's no
period where you stop this big project and then go
to the next, right, there's always the next thing instead
of the recovery that is so important in between. And
so when we don't pause like that, stress accumulates. You know,
our minds they stay in problem solve and mode, our
nervous systems stay all jacked, you know, where there we

(38:48):
can't regulate, and then the stress shows up like anxiety, emotional,
you know, exhaustion, irritability, you know when you walking around
and someone says something and you're super irritated for no reason.

Speaker 1 (39:00):
You know, you know, you can't.

Speaker 5 (39:02):
Sleep, and it's just it just turns into other things
like health concerns. So I think, you know, seeing people
reach to a point where their bodies force them to stop,
and they don't have a choice at that point. So
then we now get into this forced situation where it
becomes very dangerous.

Speaker 4 (39:16):
And that's scary. That is so scary, But I guess
the solution here.

Speaker 1 (39:21):
What are some practical ways some people can begin incorporating
intentional pauses into their daily lives even when they feel
overwhelmed or pressed for time.

Speaker 5 (39:32):
Yeah, So I think the beauty about the pause and
how I teach people about it is it doesn't have
to be this big, grandiose thing, right, Like, it doesn't
have to be a two week vacation, you know, the retreats.

Speaker 1 (39:45):
Because you know those are While those are.

Speaker 5 (39:46):
Wonderful, we don't always have time for those, right, So
it could be simple. It's taking like three deep breasts
before like you open your email or looking at the
call log of whoever's calling you and deciding in this moment,
like do I need to breathe for a little bit
before I answer that. You know, whether you're sitting in
your car, you know, you take a walk before doing
the next thing. You know, maybe not having lunch in

(40:09):
the same spot, so you say, you know what, I'm
gonna walk away from everything, take a moment, and then
come back. It's just small steps. So it's really like
I encourage people to start small and be consistent because
that's what matters. And so you know, even that sixty
second pause can create awareness. Like the goal is to
add another to do to another cask or to do list.

(40:29):
It's really to create a moment, moments throughout your day
that are sustainable.

Speaker 4 (40:33):
I love that. I love that.

Speaker 1 (40:35):
I think sometimes people often contribute it's time of going vacation,
you know, just to alleviate some of those stresses. But
it doesn't make any difference if you come back from
you know, to the same point where you started exactly
incorporating those things. Definitely should and witness people, especially people

(40:57):
who are self diagnosing themselves.

Speaker 4 (41:00):
Gonna name any names.

Speaker 1 (41:02):
Yes to those people. Yes, you know, if readers they
walk away with only one lesson from the power of
your cause, what do you hope it is? And how
can it change the trajectory of their lives? That's a
great question.

Speaker 5 (41:19):
I think, you know, the biggest thing is like you
have more power.

Speaker 1 (41:23):
Than you think.

Speaker 5 (41:24):
And so the other part is just you know, you
do not have to have permission. I think we are
so we're so conditioned to someone giving us permission to
stop to do something. And the biggest thing is you
already have Like you already own this. You do not
have to have permission to stop and take care of yourself.
And that's really what I want them to understand is

(41:45):
it's not going to always be the perfect moment, but
you just have to do it.

Speaker 4 (41:50):
I love that.

Speaker 1 (41:51):
I love that.

Speaker 4 (41:52):
Now here's my bonus question for you.

Speaker 1 (41:54):
Now, you are now an author of two books. They're
focused on personal growth and self discovery. How has your
own journey evolved between writing I Can, I Will and
the Power of Your Pause.

Speaker 5 (42:07):
Oh, so that's bringing it full circle, so I Can,
I will. You know, it's written from a place of
like encouragement, you know, action, you know, helping people believe
in themselves as they move forward, like despite challenges. So
it's tackling things, you know, as you're going. That was
really a kind of a guide to walk alongside them

(42:28):
as they were navigating things. I think the Power of
Your Plause is so different because I think it represents
a season of growth for me. You know, it taught
me that before we move forward, you know, we sometimes
need to slow down, you know, before we take action.
We need awareness if we're moving but it's not connecting,
you know, we don't have the awareness, then what's the point,
you know, like I've learned that success isn't really about

(42:50):
accomplishing goals, Like it's about am I present along the way,
Like am I enjoying their journey?

Speaker 1 (42:56):
You know?

Speaker 5 (42:57):
How am showing up? Because I'm if you you know
how many times have people got into the finish line
and it was like this very you know, disappointing kind
of climax, nothing happened for them, And so like it's
challenging me to practice what I teach as well, like
for me to become more intentional, for me to create
it in my space so that I can embody that,

(43:17):
you know, and really give that live experience to go
along with it.

Speaker 1 (43:21):
Gus, I'm not that Oh my goodness, sacremony gets spend
a pleasure chatting with you today again.

Speaker 4 (43:28):
