Speaker 1 (00:01):
All right, guys, welcome back to Downtown Rams. As always,
I'm Alexis Kraft. Join here with my co host Jake
ellen Bogan, and we are coming to you live tonight
with a special double header episode. We will both be
recapping our thirty four to seven win on Sunday Night
Football against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and previewing our matchup

(00:22):
next Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. This is a holiday week.
We know everybody's busy traveling for Thanksgiving. Everyone's got their plans,
Jake and I included. So we're going to be covering
both bases tonight, Jake, starting with our win on Sunday
Night Football. A win on primetime is always fun. It's

(00:43):
always nice. It's always nice to get a win. But
when you're watching in primetime and you can see that
your entire timeline of friends, people who are also not
Rams fans are watching your team, you want to perform
and you want to show up, and so it's always
extra nice when the world is watching the Rams a
great game against Tampa Bay, as we suspected they would.

(01:04):
You know, it was really really fun to watch, you know,
the score thirty four to seven, somewhat in the wheelhouse
of what you and I were predicting. I think the
thirty four we both were close with, so we kind
of expected that there. But Jake, the Rams, with their
win on Sunday Night, are now the number one team
in the NFC, which is massive. Obviously a huge accomplishment.

(01:30):
Obviously means a lot going forward down the stretch, but
also I think just says a lot about this Rams
team and where they're at. You know, what are your
thoughts after watching this win on Sunday Night football.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
My thoughts are, this team is as good as I
expect them to be, if not better. It is a
joy to watch this team. I don't really care too
much about the second half. I know some people were like,
they were up thirty one to seven, you know, how
do you not continue adding more points? I think they
were coasting. I think it was you know smart, I

(02:04):
mean you saw it, for instance, to kickoff when you
have the defense you have. They don't care at that point.
They're just making sure nothing crazy happens, no explosive return
that can get them back into it. Baker's out for
the game, so you're trying not to get hurt. But
you're also trying to run your offense and get some experience,
and I think that's really what they were trying to do.

(02:26):
But this was a complete drubbing. And I'm really proud
of what this team has become. You know, I understand
in the past they may have had an Aaron Donald
here and a Jalen Ramsey and so forth, but this
is the best Rams team we've seen. I've said that
multiple times. I said it before the season, but now

(02:47):
it's really starting to kind of come together, and to
win this game against a good Tampa Bay Buccaneers team
thirty four to seven is really telling. What I'll also
say is this, alexis when you when you look, they
have six they have six straight wins, right, they have
a six game win streak. So the thing that I

(03:09):
find so fascinating is that they're gonna come across roads
where yes, the Rams are expected to win the game
we're about to talk about against the Carolina Panthers, and
they're also expected to win against the Arizona Cardinals. That
would put them in an eight game win streak. That
would be a McVeigh career high. They haven't won eighth

(03:30):
straight since twenty eighteen when they won the first eight
games of the year, and they were eight No, they
lost a forty five to thirty five affair to the Saints.
That would then bring up the Lions game, which I
of course will be at, so there's a chance, very likely.
I'll add that the Rams could have eight straight wins

(03:52):
and that Lions game would put them at a winning
streak that they have never had in the Sean McVay
era before. That's something that I thought was really fascinating
and I found that out today.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
That is very fascinating. Also really quick. I don't know
if I'm freezing for you, Jake, but everyone in the
comments is saying that I am freezing.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
Load.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Yeah it doesn't look great. I can see you, but
you're like kind of laggy.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
That's so wild. It looks totally clear in my end,
it's deceptive. Yeah, I'm being gas lit, not by you all,
but by my connection because I'm showing up perfectly. So
I'm sorry, guys. I'll try to let Jake do most
of the talking. But yeah, Jake, I just thought the
Rams looked really, really good on Sunday Night football, and
I feel like they finally are kind of commanding that

(04:42):
national attention that we knew that they were worthy of,
and I think they're only going to build on that
going forward. It's really really exciting to look at where
this RAMS team is at, you know, offensively, Jake, we
saw them kind of get people involved again, you know,
they were Stafford was kind of spreading the ball out,
you know. DeVante Adams obviously great game, another two touchdown game,

(05:07):
you know, Colby Parkinson with another touchdown, you know, just
really really fun fun to watch. I actually had a parlay, Jake,
where a random parlay that I had made, which was
two DeVante Adams touchdowns, a Colby Parkinson touchdown, and Terrence
Ferguson touchdown. So I was a Terrence Ferguson touchdown away

(05:31):
from miracles happening. That would have been fun. You know.
I do hope that we see Terrence Ferguson a bit
more going forward, but it's hard to complain when everyone's
getting involved, right. What were your thoughts about how the
Rams worked on offense this game?

Speaker 2 (05:46):
Yeah, I thought the offense looked great. You know, I
understand some people would be like, well, why didn't they
get the run game going? They didn't really care to
if they really wanted to get the run game going,
they could have. If it was close enough, you know,
then absolutely they would have gotten involved. This felt like

(06:08):
Matthew Stafford's time to shine, like because after this game,
everybody was talking about it.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
You know, he's the MVP.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
It's not even remotely close the betting odds favorite by
uh you know, quite a bit now and now everybody's
talking about the Rams being the best team. And this
is you know, the perk of winning and winning the
way they did in primetime because everybody, like you said earlier,
watches this the Rams. They dominated this game, whether it

(06:43):
was in the red zone, the explosives to Pukainakua, whether
you know, the the offensive line having to do their
job up front, where mccleinnon Junior looked great. You know,
then you look at the defense, defense forcing some turnovers.
It was so funny to me how many were complaining

(07:04):
about the kadaw In interception because kad Awton never had
possession of that football. I swear he was juggling it
like I used to do when I was five, trying
to juggle It was ridiculous. It was so like out
of he was out of control. There At no point

(07:25):
did he have possession. That is why it didn't matter
that his knee was down, because nobody had possession of
the football. And then you'll appreciate this one because I'm
sure you know what I'm talking about. I hope you
know what I'm talking about. Kobe Durant in the most
dra Bli way ripped the ball right out of his hands,

(07:47):
and I loved it because it reminded me of Monday
Night football when I was a little kid and we
were watching and I remember drey Bli ripping the ball
out of Garrison Hursts hands at the time, I was
on the forty nine ers and he ran it back
for six.

Speaker 3 (08:03):
Kobe did the same thing, So huge game for him.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Emmanuel Forbes was fantastic. I don't know if I've ever
seen a game with five pass breakups. I've seen quite
a few from Akelo having three or four, but five
is quite a lot. So he's playing on another level
right now. Eight targets, no receptions allowed, interception, and five
pass breakups. If he doesn't win Defensive Player of the Week,

(08:32):
then it better be going to Miles Garrett, because if
it doesn't go to him, now, I don't know who
the hell should win it. It's it's crazy, you know,
the level he's playing at. Jared Vers had two sacks,
Kobe Turner did his thing. This is a scary defense,
it's a scary offense. And now there's no special teams

(08:53):
issues happening, and you just really don't know how to
beat this team. Alexis, I don't know if you knew
this week six in the second quarter is the last
time the Rams were trailing.

Speaker 3 (09:07):
In a game.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
That's wild, I mean, And I think it's also just
a testament kind of you know, touching on the defense.
You know, this defense I think is very underrated. I
don't think they get their respect from outside of the
fan base that I think they deserve. Into brag, I
did hit two predictions on our preview episode because I

(09:29):
did say two plus interceptions and then I said Jared
Verse two plus sacks. And the reason I bring that
up is everyone who was hating on Jared Verse and
trying to say that he's regressing or whatever crazy nonsense
you were saying, It's just so not true. It wasn't
true already. But I do think he is going to
start heating up a little bit I think you know,

(09:50):
he's there with the pressures. Now he's getting the sacks.
I mean, you just look at everybody on that defensive line.
It's just it's a scary defense. I'm seeing again that
I'm frozen in the chat. I'm sorry, guys that I'm frozen.
I will pull back on talking. Jake, wrap up this

(10:11):
Bucks game for us, and we'll move into previewing the Panthers.

Speaker 2 (10:15):
Well, the Bucks, good news for you. You're in the same
division as the Carolina Panthers, the New Orleans Saints, and
the Atlanta Falcons. Unfortunately for the Rams, they're in a
division with the Seattle Seahawks, and so this was a
must win game, and of course it must win in
a way that I don't think a lot of people realize.

(10:37):
If Seattle and the Rams tie fourteen and three. If
they tie, then what's going to happen is games like
this are going to come into play. It's called wins
in common games. And the Rams just won a game

(10:58):
that Seattle lost on their schedule. So the Rams lost
to the forty nine ers. Seattle lost to the forty
nine ers. The Rams beat the forty nine ers. Seattle
has yet to play the forty nine ers. So the
Rams' only two losses have come against the forty nine ers,

(11:18):
who Seattle's already lost to, and the Eagles, who Seattle
won't play this year. Therefore the common games thing here
and the only difference is Tampa. That's how important that
game was. I don't think a lot of people realized,
but that was the tiebreaker. So if they if they

(11:38):
lose to Seattle week sixteen and they went out and
the Rams went out, the Rams would still win the division.
There you go, So great win by the Rams nine
to two. Matthew Stafford MVP. Right now Rams looking like
the best team. They've been the best team, but now

(11:58):
it's finally there be called the best team DVOA all time.
They're a top ten team SRS Simple Rating System. According
to PFR, they are the eighth team in the since
the merger all time.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
Currently through eleven games, they're.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
You know, point differential is the best it's been out
of all of the top McVeigh teams.

Speaker 3 (12:31):
This team special. Are they gonna go the distance?

Speaker 2 (12:35):
Well, they're gonna have to win games like the one
this Sunday against Carolina, So we're gonna see what ends up.

Speaker 3 (12:42):
Happening, Alexis.

Speaker 2 (12:45):
I know you probably got a chance to watch that
game against the forty nine ers. Carolina forced three turnovers
on Brock Party and they looked horrendous, I mean.

Speaker 3 (13:01):
Bad.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
And then you have injuries and a suspension on top
of it. I'm losing my voice, You're losing your camera.
I guess we're going.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
To be a short night, folks.

Speaker 3 (13:14):
Uh, we're killing it over here, We're killing Yeah. What
are your thoughts?

Speaker 1 (13:21):
My Well, here's the thing. The Carolina Panthers are not
a good football team. I think they fool people for
a little while because they do play well at home,
and we will be playing them at home. But if
you really watch them, it is that they're not They've
got a long ways to go, and I think that's
just reality. They do have a lot of injuries. I mean,
if you look at their offensive line right now, I'm

(13:43):
pretty sure they're left guard and their center out as
of right now. I know that we're recording this a
little bit early because of the holidays, but I mean
Bryce Young has been kind of all over the place.
You know, sometimes you watch them and you think, oh, yeah,
he's gonna be fine, and then sometimes you watch him
and it's absolutely not. I do think he brings the

(14:07):
team down more than he uplifts them. So it's kind
of crazy. They have the record that they have, and
as Jake alluded to earlier, that division, the NFC South,
is just kind of not They're floundering a little bit.
So Jake, going into this game against Carolina looking at

(14:29):
our game plan offensively, let's start there, because they do
have a suspension with their starting safety as we learned today,
and then j C. Horn, their best corner might be
out he's in concussion protocol. What do you think the
Rams game plan should be offensively against Carolina?

Speaker 3 (14:49):
The same thing we saw against Tampa, right.

Speaker 2 (14:53):
I think that they should establish the passing game early
and often, and then once that's established, then you can
run the football if you want. But I just think
right now, you know, you just saw Jamel Dean go
down and he doesn't play in this game, and you
saw immediately the Rams were able, especially Matthew Stafford, who

(15:14):
can get the best of the best corner is still
giving other corners fits. So yeah, I think you got
to go after him, you know, in the passing game.
That's what I think. But what are your thoughts, you know,
kind of looking at this Carolina team.

Speaker 1 (15:33):
I agree, I think it could be. You know, I
think that it could be a very fun week for
Matthew Stafford. Another one. You know, last week we were like, oh,
could he hit four passing touchdowns? And he could have
against Tampa. I mean we we obviously just changed the
game plan. You know, Sean McVay won't run up a score,

(15:55):
so you get to a certain point and that kind
of goes out the window. We'll see if that happens
against Carolina or not. But I think that you just
target their secondary personally. You know, they're week, they're vulnerable there.
Matthew Stafford is Matthew Stafford and he's playing the way
that he is, So I think it could be pretty
dangerous there. But yeah, I don't know that there's you

(16:18):
know upfront for Carolina. I think is probably like the
strength of their defense. You know, you look at like,
you know, Derek Brown, there's a you know, a Shawn
Robinson I totally didn't know was still playing, and then
you watch Carolina and you're like, he's starting up front
for Carolina. They've got another former Ram Bobby Brown playing

(16:43):
over there. So you know, upfront, not too not too
shabby for Carolina, but you know, they've also got both
of their starting inside linebackers are hurt, one of them
being Christian Roseboom, who we are all familiar with, so
they are pretty banged up on defense. Well, so yeah,

(17:03):
I kind of just feel like whatever the Rams really
want to stick to and commit to, they're going to
have success with against this defense. So we'll see. I
think that if Matthew Stafford comes out playing the way
that he has been, it could be a very bad
day for Carolina's defense.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
Yeah, I mean that safety room now Trayvon Merrig is
going to be suspended, so it's going to be Lathon
Ransom who's going to be playing really good, by the way,
really good run defender, but not really going to help
you against Matthew Stafford. Nick Scott former Rams in the
back end of that second area as well, and with

(17:42):
j C. Horn out, you know, now you start kind
of digging into the corners a little bit there. Mike
Jackson has had a good year. He's also really benefited
from playing off of j. C. Horn and then chow
Smith Wade is a slot corner that you're not going
to really have go out on the out side at
a buck seventy six. So yeah, it's really it's gonna

(18:04):
get fascinating because you know, you look at the Carolina
Panthers this year and they've had some big wins for them,
and at the same time, they feel fluky, like that
Packers game just felt fluky.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
Right, They're kind of like, and this is going to
be so not Probably, I don't know if this comparison
is going to make sense to anybody else. They are
the bottom tier of the twenty twenty five Bears, where
like the Bears get all of these fluky wins. Like
you watch the Bears and you're like, how did they
win that? And then you watch the Carolina Panthers and

(18:39):
you're like, how did they do that? But it's the
Bears are actually like kind of have like a talented
roster and then end up winning that way, and then
the Carolina Panthers are the opposite. Does that make sense
to anybody else?

Speaker 3 (18:53):
There are I kind of get what you're saying.

Speaker 1 (18:56):
It's the same like thought process in timeline, they're just
too completely You've got one super talented team ish and
then one not talented team. So like when the Bears
pull it out, it's like, well, they did it, you know,
they managed to do it. And then the Panthers pull
it out and it's like what, yeah, it's you're I

(19:17):
don't know that you're following. It makes sense to me
if it makes sense to anybody else in the chat.
There's a parallel between the Bears and the Panthers, and
I will find a way to get that language out
there for you all, but it just trusts me that
it makes sense.

Speaker 3 (19:31):
Okay, they're three.

Speaker 2 (19:37):
I mean, yeah, I don't see it, but I mean
I kind of.

Speaker 3 (19:41):
I'm trying to follow.

Speaker 1 (19:42):
It's in the sense of the Bears, and I watch,
like the Bears win a lot of games they shouldn't win.
There's a lot of games you watch this Bears team
play and you're like, how did they do that? Like
they're like something will happen towards the end of the
game in the fourth quarter, and the Bears find a
way to win, where when the Panthers have been winning,

(20:04):
it's the same. Thank you for the people in the
chat saying they're following. I appreciate it. When the Panthers
do it, it's like they it's like the same type
of puzzling thing where you're like, how did they win that?

Speaker 2 (20:18):
If you want to know why the Bears do what
they do and the Panthers do what they do, is
because the Bears they have a plus sixteen turnover differential,
whereas the Panthers they have a minus three. So similar games,

(20:38):
but the Bears are getting that last big play to
kind of flip the game and the Panthers aren't. And
even more so, Caleb Williams is keeping care of the
football and Bryce Young is not. So, you know, I
like Bryce Young, this is not the Bryce Young game.

(21:00):
If anybody's looking for Bryce Young to turn around, it
won't be against the Rams. This is a nightmarish matchup
for Bryce Young. I feel like the offensive line's really
struggling now. I mean, yeah, I just don't Yeah, I
don't think it's good right now because you got injuries

(21:21):
along the offensive line. Our guy Chandler Zavala is in there,
but yeah, it's just not like Ikwanu gave up I
think five pressures last night. What's gonna happen with Jared
Verst season, Well, I.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
Was gonna bring up Zavala because we've interviewed him on
the show some people might remember, yes, but yeah, I
mean that that's a good point. This defensive line going
as that offensive line. I just don't think Bryce Young
is gonna be able to have a second to breathe,
and I think that he's already struggling when he has

(22:00):
a little bit of time. I just don't see how
this ends up being an okay day for Bryce Young
unless the Rams really just screw up defensively. It's just
it's not looking good injury wise already.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
But they need to turn the Rams over if they
want any chance, because they average eighteen points a game
and they average twenty two point four giving up, and
the Rams give up under seventeen a game and they
average around twenty seven. So it's not gonna be easy.

(22:39):
This is probably if you go back and you look
at their season, this is the toughest team they faced
all year, and they have a blowout loss forty two
to thirteen against New England, and they have a blowout
loss forty to nine against Buffalo. And the Rams are
a lot better than the Bills, and they've played way

(22:59):
better team and the Patriots actually, fun fact, Alexisiarty for this,
I picked the Patriots as my sleeper team this year. Now,
I thought they would be good, but I also knew
they were gonna have an easier schedule. Yeah, I didn't
realize how easy. The Patriots have the sixth easiest schedule,

(23:20):
according to Pro Football Reference of all time.

Speaker 3 (23:24):
Yeah, in the Super Bowl era.

Speaker 1 (23:26):
Well, and it's not like and also, you know, credit
to Drake May. He's playing really, really well. So this
is not a dig at Drake May. But when you
look at their schedule and you're like, that's why they're
ten and two because from the outside, I mean, their
schedule is like and it's still I think they still
would be like a pretty good team.

Speaker 2 (23:44):
But no, I mean I think they'd be they'd be
like a seven and four team right now, I would say.
But yeah, it's wild. I don't know what happened this
year with the schedule making or whatever. It's just a
weird year. This team, the Bears, the Bears, and Patriots

(24:07):
have some of the easiest schedules I've ever seen ever,
and they're some of the easiest of all time.

Speaker 3 (24:15):
So it's it's really wild.

Speaker 2 (24:18):
The forty nine ers schedule, as easy as it looked
to start the season.

Speaker 3 (24:23):
Didn't end up being anywhere.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
Near as easy as what the Patriots and Bears got,
which is surprising because if you look, I mean the
forty nine ers, their schedules, well, still easy or easier.
Strength of schedules at four eighty five right now, you know,
and you look at the Bears and it's at three

(24:45):
sixty five, which is insane.

Speaker 3 (24:47):
I mean that's super low.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
And then the Patriots the sixth easiest of all time,
three forty six. So yeah, I mean, the Patriots, it's
actually incredible when you about they're playing the Giants this week.
They got the Jets left, and they got the Dolphins.
They play the Bills and the Ravens, that's it. But
they got the Jets, Dolphins, and Giants. I wish like,

(25:13):
I mean, that's just well. I mean the Rams get
to play the Cardinals twice and the Falcons and the
Carolina Panthers.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
So yeah, I have a good feeling and we've talked
about it before, I have a good feeling about the
rams remaining schedule. I mean, there's some tough teams in there,
but you know, I don't think it's entirely unrealistic to
say the Rams went out. I'm not saying it yet,
but I think that like there's a very good chance

(25:40):
if they keep it up.

Speaker 3 (25:42):
Yeah, I'm gonna say this right now.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
I said that Seattle would win Week sixteen. Now I'm
starting to feel like the Rams are still going to
find a way to win.

Speaker 3 (25:53):
It's gonna be tough. Short week in Seattle.

Speaker 2 (25:56):
You don't want to give away everything, all the tricks
to the put more film out there that they're not
privy to. Because you also have to play that chess
game where you have to know if you win the
number one seed, if you secure that and you beat Seattle,

(26:17):
you are almost guaranteed to face Seattle in the second round.
So that's something to keep in mind. Knowing that you'll
play a team three times in a year, there are
some things that you can do with a team that
you know you'll only play twice or once. But when
you feel like in your heart that you're gonna play

(26:38):
this team again, you can't necessarily show your full hand.
So something to keep in mind.

Speaker 1 (26:48):
Well, Jake, moving into the predictions for this game, I'm
against Carolina. We each get four. We've officially moved to four.
We've on from three to four this season, so everyone
take note. I will let you go first. We talked,

(27:09):
we covered it, we talked about the team, what to expect,
what say.

Speaker 2 (27:12):
You, Yeah, I am going to say that once again,
Emmanuel Forbes is gonna have another interception. I think he's
gonna take it back to the house and he's gonna
have a pick six. So I think Emmanuel Forbes picks six,

(27:35):
that's gonna I'm gonna start with that. I just think
he's on such a tear and Bryce Young and Brock
Purty are kind of similar. Young can rip it, but
there are times when that ball just kind of floats
in the you know, in the middle of the field,
and that is just not a good place to be in.
So I can see him doing that, and I think

(27:55):
when he does that, Emmanuel Forbes is gonna leak in,
grab the ball and take it back to the house, which,
by the way, was a big thing of what he
did at Mississippi State when he set the FBS record
for pick sixes. I think people forgot about who Emmanuel
Forbes was because it's been so long since, you know

(28:16):
what we were talking about him potentially becoming a star.

Speaker 1 (28:21):
Love it because you know, he wanted that on Sunday
or on Sunday, he tried to pick six. He I
was rooting for we all were rooting for him. I
could see how bad he wanted it. I would love
to see him get it against Carolina. So love that
my first one is also defensive. I'm saying that the
Rams get five sacks, five plus sacks. I do not

(28:44):
have faith in that Carolina offensive line with the injuries.
I do not have faith in Bryce Young. I have
full faith in this hot Rams defensive line, who I
think is starting to like really come into their own
and so I think that we're going to see five
plus against Carolina.

Speaker 2 (29:02):
You know, it's a fascinating looking wide receiver room because
you got six foot five Heteroa McMillan, who the Rams
tried to get. You have six foot three Jalen Coker,
and you have six foot three Xavier Legette. So you
have three wide receivers who are tall, and you've got

(29:23):
a dB room that doesn't necessarily have that size. I
mean you have like five nine Darius Williams, you got
five ten Kobe Durant, and then you know Forbes is
around six feet six foot one. So this, if they
could do it, I don't know if he's gonna play,

(29:44):
but if they could find a way to get a
Kello Witherspoon to play, I'm gonna throw this one just
for funzies.

Speaker 3 (29:50):
I think he's gonna get an interception.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
If a Kella Witherspoon plays this weekend, he is going
to get a pick and it's gonna be throwing towards McMillan.
He's gonna box out McMillan and he's going to pick
the ball off. So yes, I have Bryce Young throwing
two interceptions. I like you, Bryce, but this week I'm

(30:13):
gonna feel for you.

Speaker 3 (30:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (30:16):
Well, let me change my next prediction because mine had
to do with interceptions because I felt good after hitting
that last week. But we'll try to switch it up.
Let me go offensive. You know what I'm gonna say.
Kien Williams two touchdowns. I think one is going to
be receiving, one is going to be rushing because he
was he was really hot to start the season in

(30:38):
both the receiving game and the run game. I mean,
for a while we were talking about on this show
that like Kyrin has been one of the been the
most reliable receiver in the red zone, right you think
back to the forty nine ers game in some other games,
and then I think now that that connection with Adams
has picked up, and you know, you've got Pukinakua back,

(30:58):
and you've got the tight ends now out catching touchdowns.
We haven't seen Karen Williams utilized in the red zone
as much, but I do think we're gonna see Karen
Williams two plus touchdowns. I think that the Rams are
gonna get him involved more as they should and we'll
see that.

Speaker 3 (31:14):
Yeah. No, I like that.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
So I went with Forbes interception, the Kello interception. If
he plays asterisks, if he plays, let's go to the
offensive side. I swung out, I swung and missed last week,
and I really was expecting Terrence Ferguson to get going.

(31:41):
And I'm gonna actually go in a completely different direction.
I'm gonna say, Kobe Parkinson keeps it going and finds
the end zone. Yet again, he is on a tear
as of late for a Rams tight end at least. Yeah,
he looks so good in his role right now, Colby Parkinson,

(32:01):
We're going to go fifty plus yards and a touchdown
for Colby this week.

Speaker 1 (32:11):
Like it. He's certainly been on a heater. I'm going
to say, hmm, I want to stay offensive right now.
I'm going to say, we are going to see so Okay,
I really want to make a Terrence Ferguson prediction. I

(32:32):
really want to do it, but I am a little
hesitant because I've been doing it as you have and
it has not panned out.

Speaker 3 (32:40):
So let's say my lesson.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
I'm going to say, we're going to see so I
said the kyrin two touchdowns, We're going to see Devonte
Adams with another two touchdown game.

Speaker 3 (32:51):
I like that.

Speaker 1 (32:52):
I don't even that's not even bold anymore, but you know,
we're going to say that because that's kind of that
gives me at least three Matthew Stafford passing touchdowns because
I said one of Kyen's touchdowns would be receiving.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
Yeah, it's so yeah, that's definitely. That's interesting. By the way,
his last time he played against Carolina, his only time
with the Rams was twenty twenty two. I actually forgot
about that game. He had a touchdown interception two hundred
and fifty three yards in that game.

Speaker 3 (33:27):
It's like, did you even remember that? I didn't even
remember they played.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
I remember that at all. Who would have been the
quarterback for Carolina at that time?

Speaker 3 (33:34):
Was that?

Speaker 1 (33:35):
Was that Bryce's rookie year?

Speaker 3 (33:37):
No? No, Bryce was twenty twenty three?

Speaker 1 (33:41):
Okay, so this what is it?

Speaker 2 (33:44):
Four?

Speaker 3 (33:47):
So that I remember? Was that Andy Dalton? Was that?

Speaker 1 (33:51):
I think it might have been Andy Dalton?

Speaker 3 (33:52):
Was that Cam Newton?

Speaker 1 (33:54):
Why should have been Baker?

Speaker 2 (33:55):
No?

Speaker 1 (33:56):
It wasn't twenty twenty two?

Speaker 2 (33:57):
Tho, oh my god? All right, who guess? Don't look
it up? Who can guess? This is insane?

Speaker 1 (34:04):
Did I get it?

Speaker 3 (34:05):
No? You were not even close. I didn't even I
forgot about this. Man.

Speaker 2 (34:10):
Temple quarterback Philip Walker aka p J Walker got injured
in this game and Jacob Easton had to come in.
The former Georgia and Washington quarterback Jacob Eason had to
come in, and he threw a pick and sealed the

(34:31):
deal for the Rams to win three and three on
the year at this point, twenty four to ten. In
twenty twenty two, they would try to acquire Christian McCaffrey,
who gave him fits.

Speaker 3 (34:41):
All game long.

Speaker 2 (34:43):
They would fail and the forty nine ers would end
up acquiring him the very next day.

Speaker 1 (34:50):
I forgot about both of those guys. Is Jacob Eson
even playing anymore? No, I don't think he is.

Speaker 2 (34:56):
I clicked on his name and it just gave me
one of those NFL shields, So I was like, okay,
so he's gone.

Speaker 3 (35:02):
It is what it is wild PJ.

Speaker 2 (35:05):
Walker though that's a name, man, I haven't heard his
name in a long time. Same, I like him, but yeah,
he was, he was done in twenty twenty two.

Speaker 1 (35:16):
Well, hopefully hopefully the Rams put on a more memorable
win this game. And Jake, you've got one more prediction.

Speaker 3 (35:27):
I got more prediction. All right. Well, while we're on
the roll.

Speaker 2 (35:35):
Here with a Kello Witherspoon, if he does play getting
an interception, I think to two Outwell is going to
catch another touchdown bomb and in his return, because he
has been out for four games, he'll be back this
week for sure. So number five to two out Well
catches a we'll say, fifty plus yard touchdown bomb. Uh

(35:59):
to seal the deal in this one.

Speaker 1 (36:02):
Love it, so just back Turbo two two touchdown. My
last prediction is I believe that we are going to
see a Kobe Turner interception off probably that will probably
happen off a batted ball or something. He's just he's
been like in there right, and I'm like, we've seen

(36:26):
him himself bat some balls down. We've seen some other
balls batted down. I think we're going to see Kobe
Turner interception off a deflection.

Speaker 2 (36:35):
Okay, damn feeling, I see it, feeling it, I see
it all right. Well, before we get into the prediction,
we have our new bit. It's the referee section of
our show.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
YEP.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
Scott Novak, fun fact, is actually taking in not his
own officiating crew. He is manning Adrian Hill's officiating crew
after Adrian Hill suffered a serious injury, almost tore his achilles,
so he is going to be back, but not in

(37:17):
time for this game. So the fifty four year old
Scott Novak is taken on the reins. So he's worked
with the Big twelve, so I've probably cussed at him
a few times in the past. He was the referee
for the twenty twelve BCS National Championship game between Alabama
and LSU, and he played baseball as a pitcher at

(37:41):
Metropolitan State University of Denver from nineteen eighty eight to
nineteen ninety. He also resides in Colorado, So there you go.
There's your official. I don't have much else on that.
Scott Elish King, he just uh but Scott Novak.

Speaker 1 (38:04):
Well chat remember that about Scott Uh, he is a
private king, but we do know a little bit about
his career baseball pitcher from Colorado schure. He's a stand
up guy and he will be the referee this Sunday.
And that is referee fun Facts brought to you by

(38:26):
Downtown Rams.

Speaker 2 (38:28):
I was really so ready for Adrian Hill and then
he got hurt. I actually have a whole thing on him.

Speaker 3 (38:34):
Because he has might come back. He has a whole
engineering career, NASA background.

Speaker 1 (38:40):
Spoiler.

Speaker 3 (38:41):
Well, I don't know if he's going to come back.
I'm written for him, but he might.

Speaker 1 (38:45):
Yeah, I'm rooting for him too. I remember when that
happened injury. No, so wish him the best and Jake,
before we get one last thing, we did our fun
segment about the referee. Now, do have a word from sponsor?

Speaker 2 (39:03):
Yes we do, and that is sleeper. And oh, by
the way, the Rams are one and two. When Scott
Novak efficients their games, they have even Yeah, they lost
to the Seahawks in twenty nineteen, they lost to the

(39:23):
forty nine ers and they beat the Actually no, they're
zero and three. They lost to the Ravens two in
twenty twenty so at twenty twenty three, so the overtime
game anyway. On that sad note, I don't care they're
gonna win anyway, Sleeper, we're back one hundred percent bonus
match up to one hundred dollars using my code JKB.

(39:45):
Be sure to use that code link is in the
description below, And of course, if you haven't already, please
do yourself a favor get in on the action and
use that twenty dollars free entry when you first join.
You don't even have to deposit to use it, so
there you go, Sleeper. Shout out to Sleeper for sponsoring

(40:07):
this channel. All right, we got a fun fact from Falco.

Speaker 3 (40:12):
PJ.

Speaker 2 (40:12):
Walker is currently playing for the Calgary Stampeders in the CFL,
so he lives. He's still playing football. That's a good
poll right there. He was ready for that for whatever reason.
I feel like Falco was waiting on somebody to ask
him or or give prompt that question at some point.

(40:34):
So it worked out perfectly. Saylor Swift, thank you for
the five. If we go up two or three scores.
We should pull Stafford out. Jimmy is that and can
run the offense. Pooka two let momfield of Winnington Cook. So,
Alexis I want to throw something interesting at you. So

(40:58):
Jimmy Garoppolo is a free agent after the season. At
some point or another, the Rams may want to just
give him some burn to kind of show teams, Hey,
this guy can start. That's probably gonna be Week eighteen
if the Rams can possibly do it. Did you know

(41:23):
last year there was a compensatory pick given out to
a team for a player that had seventeen million AAV.
He's signed that contract. Jimmy Garoppolo, if he were to
start next year, would at least get at the bare
minimum twenty million. This could be a third round compensatory

(41:43):
pick if not brought back for the Rams. Why is
no one talking about that? That is fascinating to me.

Speaker 1 (41:53):
It is and I also agree with Zailor. I would
have liked to have seen the way earlier on Sunday
Night Football. To be honest, I think I'm of the
philosophy of, like, if you get up that high, I
understand not wanting to run out the score, put all
your backups in and then see if they can score.
I don't have a problem with that. If you're putting

(42:15):
in a new offense of like Jimmy G and second,
you know, string wide receivers and maybe you leave Blake
Korham in there or get like, you know, another running
back in there or whatever. If they start scoring, I
think that's perfectly fine. Maybe that's not the right mindset
to have. You're giving them an opportunity to show what
they can do as well. So yeah, I think that

(42:38):
you know that should have happened earlier on Sunday Night
Football personally, but yeah, put Jimmy in in this RAMS
team is too good to risk like getting hurt. It
was like at the end of the Sunday Night Football
game in the fourth quarter, Kyron got smoked at in
one of those plays. They were just running it with him,
right because the don't want to run out the score,
but you're leaving Kien Williams in there. He gets absolutely

(42:59):
deck and I'm thinking, like, what if that took him
out just unnecessarily, you know, there was no reason for that.
So I do hope we see Jimmy G on Sunday
because the RAMS scores very, very high and they pull Stafford,
that would be the only reason that I hope we.

Speaker 3 (43:17):
See no that I mean that's true.

Speaker 2 (43:22):
I me personally, I don't care that much about pulling
starters because the way I always see it, and maybe
this is the wrong way to look at it. You
can sit there and say they should have pulled somebody
because they're up thirty four to seven. But going into
that game, the Rams weren't thinking, oh my god, you

(43:46):
know we're going to have to pull guys. Buccaneers have
no chance. They were probably going that game thinking it
would probably be a good game, right, And so for
that reason, that wasn't even really thought of. And I
feel like people do the whole what if somebody got hurt?

Speaker 3 (44:03):
But it's like.

Speaker 2 (44:05):
It just to me, like like playing the what if game,
I don't know, I understand it. But at the same time,
you're in a rhythm, like stay in a rhythm, right,
Like if you're benching Stafford in the final five minutes
of the game, that's different. But there were people like
Alexis I saw on Twitter people wanted to take Stafford

(44:26):
and the starters out in the second half, and I
just to me, I think that's also you toe the
line of like, oh, you don't want to disrespect them
by running up the score, but you're disrespecting them, you know,
by doing that. So I don't know, that's just my
thought on that.

Speaker 1 (44:42):
I think the fourth quarter I would have pulled them.
I would have done it in the second half, but
I think I think like at some point when they
were getting so obliterated and you had like, you know,
Teddy Bridgewater looking like, you know, he forgot how to
play football someplays, I would have been like, you know what,
I'm probably not leaving my MVP candidate quarterback in here anymore,

(45:05):
or my starting running back or receivers who were blocking
for on those run plays, Like, I just don't like it.
I don't that's fair pull him the fourth.

Speaker 2 (45:16):
Quarter, that is absolutely fair. I also think that you
could give them an opportunity, like, for instance, you know
somebody like Jarquis Hunter, right, you can get them and
get him an opportunity to get going where he's not

(45:36):
even touching the ball right now. If you get into
one of those blowout scripts, well now you know you
can have him run, you know. And I actually kind
of liked that idea for sure. Yeah, So yeah, Saylor's
back at it. Thank you Saylor. Also know Kendrick, been there,

(45:58):
done that, p I Magnet. I'm gonna push back on that.
The sel Seahawks waved Daryon Kendrick today and I would
claim him in a heartbeat. And here's why, Darion Kendrick
doesn't have to play for this to be worth it.
They already have incredible depth, but why not get better?
This would just make you a better football team. He
knows the defense. He also was just in the opposing

(46:20):
locker room of the team that's trying to fight to
win this division against you. You're gonna be playing in
week sixteen. The intel has to be there in some capacity.
He also never left the Rams. The Rams cut him
and then he was claimed. He didn't choose to go
to Seattle, So I think there's still some sort of
mutual interest there. Yeah, okay, maybe they've moved on, but

(46:43):
maybe not. And on top of that, Roger McCreery got
banged up. We don't know how bad that is. And
he would be playing on the inside. He wouldn't be
playing on the outside. He'd be playing in the slot.
He'd be playing the star. That's what he was doing.
So I think it just makes you a better football
team by adding him, and this late in the season
to get a player if his caliber is pretty damn good.

(47:04):
So I'm all for bringing back Garry on Kendrick. But
what are your thoughts, Alexis?

Speaker 1 (47:09):
Yeah, I agree. I think I think that you know,
it's a pretty no harm, no foul. I mean, there's
there's nothing negative that could happen by it, right, you know,
I don't I think you bring him back. You've already
got this rhythm going with your corners. Now. He's not
stepping into play unless there's an injury, So it's just depth.
But he also has that knowledge from the Seahawks where

(47:30):
he just was in their defensive back room. So if
the Rams can do it, I don't see why not.

Speaker 3 (47:37):
Yeah, no, I like that.

Speaker 2 (47:39):
And then uh, Deuce Falco, thank you for the ten
Someone said in the chat, I agree. If Rams have
a good lead, I want more backups playing. Jimmy g included.
I mean, that's definitely fair. If it's a sizable lead
and there's not a lot of time left, I'm okay
with it. I just wouldn't be like taking him out
in the third quarter or anything like that un it's

(47:59):
the game was like fifty to zero or some crazy thing.
But yeah, it seems like that is a growing, you know,
belief around the fan base. So eighty eight Horror fan,
appreciate you. Thank you for the five. You so excited
about this team. Feel like it could be a team

(48:20):
of destiny once again. Also, I was wondering how you
and Alexis became Ram fans.

Speaker 3 (48:25):
Go Rams.

Speaker 2 (48:27):
I love the logo, by the way, I was kind
of hoping that would be their logo. I love the
La logo so much, but I didn't follow suit with
a lot of people who hated on what they called
the snail.

Speaker 3 (48:39):
I actually love that old Rams logo.

Speaker 1 (48:44):
I love the old Rams logo more than I like
the new one. And I'm going a record saying that
I think that was classic. But maybe I'm biased because
I grew up with just that. That was like the
only logo I, you know, really had. As to how
I become a Rams became a Rams fan, I'm from
Saint Louis, so that is how I had Season TIXX

(49:07):
growing up, went the games, followed them when they went
back to LA, So that was how I became a
Rams fan.

Speaker 2 (49:15):
Yeah, I became a Rams fan because I was raised
to be a Rams fan. My dad grew up in Irvine, California,
was next door neighbors with Jim Youngblood, who was one
of the inside linebackers at the time for the Rams,
and that made him a Rams fan, and you know,
then he ended up moving to New York. And yeah,

(49:36):
I'm now a Rams fan. I've been a Rams fan
my whole life and it didn't matter how bad they were.
I watched every single game. So it's why if I
ever just randomly throw samkin Gato out there, Sean McDonald
or an Oshimigo a Tagway reference or Corey Chay this, well,
now you know why it is because like I've been

(49:57):
watching this team whether they won one game, are won
thirteen games. So that's just, uh, that's me. But yeah,
I mean you were in Saint Louis, and Saint Louis
was most of my childhood and all of my childhood
essentially and most of my lifetime, and then they went
to LA and yeah, I mean I followed him just

(50:18):
like I did in Saint Louis.

Speaker 1 (50:20):
So yeah, yep, and Jake real quick, because we do
how you do have to get to your roundtable. We
never set our score prediction.

Speaker 3 (50:28):
Oh wow, okay, so we.

Speaker 1 (50:30):
Kind of skipped over that. We alluded to the fact
that we both believe the Rams are gonna win, but
we never predicted a score. So you go first. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (50:40):
I like the you know, the four touchdown, two field
goal thing that I did last week, So let's stick
with that.

Speaker 3 (50:46):
I'm gonna have him pick.

Speaker 2 (50:47):
I'm gonna have him scored thirty four again like I
did last week, because I nailed their score right, and
I'm gonna say that Bryce Young and the Panthers, I'm
gonna say thirty four to sixteen. I'm going to say
three field goals and a touchdown.

Speaker 1 (51:05):
I have thirty four to ten. So we're both in
alignment on the thirty four. Yeah, I think we just
we're on the same page of what we're expecting this
game to be, and we expect it to be a
Rams win, which is what matters. Guys. Hopefully we can
see this win on Sunday, move to ten and two.

(51:26):
