today to talk about superfoods and that those secrets to
living until you're say one hundred and twenty, I want
you to start with a little visualization. I want you
to imagine, if you will, a pristine cherry red nineteen
sixty seven Ford Mustang. It's sitting in your driveway. The
chrome is sparkling, the engine hums like a satisfied cat

and it's the envy of your entire neighborhood. Now imagine
that you just you leave it there. You don't wash it,
you don't wax it. You let the rain peld it,
the humidity soak into its joints in the salt from
the winter road. Sit on the undercarriage, and now I

want you to fast forward five years. What do you have.
You don't have a classic car anymore. You have a
heap of biological rust. The iron has reacted with the oxygen,
and that integrity of the metal has vanished in the
high performance machine is now a crumbling orange skeleton of

its former self. And here here's the shocking truth. Most
of you are doing the same exact thing to your
bodies and you don't even realize it until that fender
falls off. In the medical world, we don't just call
it rust. We call it oxidative stress. It's the process

I want to tell you about a patient of mine,

and we'll call him Mike. Mike is a fifty two
year old contractor. He's tough as nails. He works twelve
hour days and he prides himself on never getting sick.
But Mike came to me because he felt like he
was losing his edge. He told me, Doc, I feel
like I'm moving through molasses. My joints are stiff every morning,

my brain is foggy by two pm. And honestly, I
look in the mirror and I don't recognize the guy
that's looking back. I look gray. And he wasn't talking
about the gray on his hair. He was talking about
his whole tone. It looked gray. So he ran some

labs on Mike. In what we found was the classic
case of what I call that corroded contractor. In Mike's case,
Mike wasn't suffering from a specific disease in the traditional sense.
He was suffering from an overwhelming accumulation of reactive oxygen

I'm wonderful, Doctor Adam, thank you so much. Thank you
for the lovely introduction. I appreciate that very much. If
we take a look at the longest lived people in
the world, the Hansa's, the vocab Indians, the azerbijan is,
the titnycutkins. They all have one specific thing that they do.
(14:55):
They exercise, They move their body, they stay clear to
the land. In fact, they don't have a gym, but
the exercise by working on the land. Because we've discovered
that the further away we get from the land, the
signal we become, and the closer we stated the land,
the healthy we become. So they're eating plant based food
that are rich in fighter nutrients, rich in into all
(15:18):
three carbonyls, rich in sulforofane, which you found in dark,
leafy green vegetables, which we don't consume enough of here
in this country. In fact, the stats are abysmal awful.
Eighty six percent of the US population hardly eat any
fresh fruits and vegetables are certainly not enough, and according
to the United States Department of Agriculture, we should be

consuming at least thirteen servings of fresh fruits and vegetables,
but we miss the mark dramatically. There is significant correlation
in cultures that consume copious amounts of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Really pay attention to the caloric intake, what's their fat intake,
particularly the bad fats as just from the good fats

which you'll find in avocado, and various different types of oils,
though a lot of those are very rancid, and there
is a question mark over some of these oils that
come from different parts of the world. You never know
what you're getting. So we have to be very careful
because our food is terribly tainted. It's trashed really and
corporations now and I spoke this past weekend about America
(16:24):
has a constitutional and fundamental right to provide food for
us that do not make us sick. They have to
be held accountable. And at that restaurant or store is
not providing you the types of food that you want
to make you and your family healthy, you should let
the manager know or walk out and don't shop there.
And that's the power of the pocketbook. That's the power
(16:47):
of the wallet. They have to make stuff that's good
for us. For years, they've been getting away with stuff.
And I respect America. I love America. It's been great
to me since I moved here from Ireland. We have
a right to make profits, We have a right to
make a living, but not at the expense of someone
else's health.

Yeah, and I agree with that, And that was a great,
great way to lead into our conversation today, doctor Tony,
And it's great to have you here. So I want
to continue this jump right into this deep end on this.
We see the word superfoods. It's written on everything from
cereal boxes to energy drinks. These days, it's becoming a
(17:27):
marketing buzzword, right. But for those of us that are
looking at this staggering like a six hundred percent increase
in chronic diseases like diabetes over the last few decades,
we know that something is fundamentally broken, which you just
just addressed there. So I want you to discuss why
(17:49):
authentic superfoods they're no longer an option, but it's a
necessity for longevity, if you will right now.

For sure.

Someone once said to me that. But there's more fiber
in the box than there is in the actual product itself.
And you can decorate these boxes with all sorts of
little characters that kids loves, particularly cereal. We're the fattest
nation in the world, we really are. We're the most overweight,
under nourished, over medicated nation in the world. Child obesity
(18:20):
has skyrocketed. Diabetes, as we mentioned, has gone through the roof.
We don't get enough exercise, we don't move our body.
We're consuming more calories today than ever before. Couple that
with excessive amounts of vaccines, and we have a broken
healthcare system in this country. In fact, that's my next book,
my sixteenth book, which is called Broken Medicine. We have
(18:42):
an opportunity, doctor Adam, and I'm really grateful and thankful
for this great program and for you having me on.
Thank you for that. We all need voices, and our
voices need to be used for good. We want corporations
to make a living. We want them, though, to provide
us with really good foods. They all have that fundamental respectibility.
This is why we have great programs like yours, and

to educate people to help them make better choices. It's
all about the choices. I spoke this past weekend at
a seminar. There's about sixty or seventy people, and a
lot of them had tremendous health problems from tainted blood
from blood transfusions that were contaminated with vaccines. And now
(19:26):
their health is just really awful. So you've got all
those issues. You've got people who are overweight, You've got
people who are underweight, you got people who are suffering
from cancer. Why is it that cancer rates are staggering
in this country? Why is obesity gone through the roof
in this country? Why has our children? Why are our
children so over weight? Why are they sick and tired
(19:46):
of being sick and tired. Someone said to me the
other day said, well, my favorite nighttime drink is Meta
musal and red bull. I thought, wow, it might sound funny,
but unfortunately this is what people are consuming. Drive the
length and breadth of this country. As an ambassador to RFK,
and we really try to really educate people on a

consistent basis. This is why I love doing that and
traveling all across the country and helping people take their
life back and take their health back. So the term
superfood was coined many years ago, and a superfood primarily
and traditionally has been something that is historically been remarkable
at providing significant support for the immune system. For example, pomegranates, blueberries, gojiberries,
(20:33):
mangustein sie grape seed extract res, veratrol. All these are
classically called superfoods because of their historical use and their
efficacy and potency at providing tremendous health for the body.
A lot of corporations put one little berry in their
box and call it a superfood. That's not really a superfood.
(20:55):
You want to have potency, you want to have efficacy,
you want to have something that's actually low with these goodness,
these goodies and goodness and superfoods traditionally have been used
by indigenous tribes from the rainforest because the further away
as I mentioned, momentarily we get from mother nature or
the sicker we become, and the closer we say to

Mother nature or the health that we've become. We've become
a nation that's held bent on fast food and uber
eats and deliveries, and those things are all great, for sure,
but the challenge is we don't always get the right nutrients.
And if the nutrients are not in the soil, because
I'm a farm boy from Ireland, if it's not in
the soil, it's not in the food. And if it's
not in the food, then it's not in the product

or produce that you buy. So that's one of the
challenges that we're faced with. It. Oh, we want to

we were talking about our food sources and how the
soils here in America they're stripped. We need to get

back to nature. You were talking about how the tribes
they exercise and they eat real food. But I also
want to talk about energy and pH balance. So talk
about that slump that most Americans hit by two pm
every day and we're reaching for our third cup of
coffee or a sugary energy drink, so we're over caffeinated
(23:41):
and we're under nourished. How does Radiant Green's formula, which

Great question I should answer, and should state that the
indigenous tribes are eating plant based, unprocessed food. That's why

which is quite remarkable. We lose our teeth as we
get older. I was a sickly child, doctor Adam, when
I was growing up in my native Ireland family of eleven,

and it was not comfortable being at the doctor on
a continuous basis. It was not much fun taking copious
amounts of medication which I didn't understand what it was,
but my parents said, you have to take this, and
I was having nightmares and terribly sick as a young man.
Good sports, but terribly sick. Thank goodness for sports. Everybody
(24:40):
should participate in some form of sports. So we found
from research that green foods. You heard me say this
many times on the broadcast here with you over the
last couple of months, the green foods are the highest
on the DNA chain, and green foods are loaded with chlorophyll.
And chlorophyll is the blood of plant with almost an
identical molecular structure as hemoglobin, which is the blood of
(25:04):
human beings. And basically what that means in layman's terms
is the sun is shining right now. Is a look
out the window here in Malibu, California is absolutely spectacular.
When we harness the energy of the sunshine, it hits
the plants and it creates what's called photosynthesis, This rich
live energy that we can only get from plants, and
(25:25):
when you take that into your body, it oxygenates the
blood because bacteria viruses cannot survive in an oxygen rich environment.
The Nobel Prize is one for that in nineteen thirty
nine to nineteen forty one, proving that bacteria viruses cannot survive.
So there's no doubt about that. So anti aging is
a word that's thrown out a lot these days. Superfoods
(25:45):
are words that are thrown out a lot these days.
And I see a lot of people in our industry
who don't always eat their superfoods and don't participate in
any anti aging program. What does an anti aging program
look like. Maybe it's cutting back completely on alcohol. Maybe
it's completely eliminating cigarettes from your diet, saturated fat, excess
of carbohydrates, no late night eating. This is a huge
(26:08):
problem for us because we are overweight. We suffer from
tremendous health crisis problems in this country. And this is
why when I did that seminar on Saturday, I thought, Wow,
there's so many people sick. And my job as an educator,
as an Herbalos nutrition is a naturopath and author of
fifteen books. My job is to educate the masses, and
(26:28):
believe me, a lot of us are not taking care
of ourselves. But we are beginning to wake up thanks
to RFK at the White House, thanks to the Maha movement.
That's all we're doing. We don't do politics. I don't
do politics. I don't even have a vote in this country,
doctor Adam. I'm just here to help people get well
and get healthy. I'm happy to tell you I'm sixty
seven years young. I feel like a kid. In fact,
(26:50):
I had my blood We're done. Recently the lady said
to me, did you do something to your blood? Or
how are you eating? Or what are you eating? And
I've found several physicians say the same thing to me.
How do you have the muscle tone that you have?
How do you practice martial arts? How do you do pilates?
How do you do yoga? I said, I'm walking. I
walked for an hour and ten fifteen minutes last night,
(27:10):
as if it never even happened. It was just effortless.
And I was walking with a friend of mine the
other day. She's in the movie business. She's a top
director and producer and she was scouting new locations. She said,
I'm out of breath. I can't even keep up with you.
We're walking around the hillside here in Agora looking for
different locations for her. So a lot of people don't
take care of their health, don't walk, don't move their body,
(27:31):
don't put the right nutrients into our body. As a
farm boy growing up on an Ireland, doctor Adam I
discovered as a young man, I'll never forget it. My
father would say, my late beautiful father would say, some
if we don't fertilize the land this year, we're not
going to have a good crop. And I said, okay, Daddy,
make sure we fertilize. And we could barely afford the
fertilizer for the little plot of land that we were
growing potatoes on, scallions and lettuce and things of that nature.
(27:54):
And so the land has been depleted of vital nutrients.
The food is not in the soil, and the soil
is not in the food, and the fertilizer is not
on the food, and the fertilizer is not in the land.
So if it's not in the land, then it's not
in our body. And consequently, as a result, we don't
get the right nutrients as a result, so consequently we
(28:15):
have huge problems as it relates to our health. So
it's very important there's somebody call in for a product. Already.
If we don't fertilize the land, we're just simply not
going to have a good crop. So these superfoods are crucial.
This is why we have to unfortunately, but fortunately, we
have to supplement our current diet because it's just not
(28:35):
in the boxes that we eat eat. Box food is
likely deficient and devoid of superfoods and has little or
no fiber. So you've got to get plant based foods,
and that's why the Radiant Greens is a combination of

It's quite remarkable. You'll notice the difference in your hair,
your skin, and in your nails. I get compliments all

the time when I do more than news shows have

excess sugar. That's what makes cancer grow like crazy. Cancer
loves sugar. We consume per person roughly two hundred plus
pounds of sugar a year. Think about that. Think about
that from but that's almost twenty pounds per person every
single month, sometimes more, sometimes less. No wonder why diabetes

and obesity as skyrocket in America. These green foods give
you the nutrients that you need on a daily basis
to curb your cravings and to oxygenate that blood to
protect you against the onslaught our free radicals from the
air we breathe, the food we eat, and the water
that we drink, and of course our toxic environment with
all the plutants. I read recently, doctor Adam that China,

one point two million people die every year from lung
cancer because of smog. I know you want to take

Tony O'Donnell about longevity, super foods and anti aging. But

talking talking before the break. I want to I want
to talk more about antioxidants. We often think of anti
(34:16):
aging as as creams or serums that we put on
our skin. But you know, true longevity in that agelessness,
if you will, They start from that inside out. And

I go hiking and walking, I get away from any traffic.
I live out in the countryside. I live out in
the hills. I can walk freely and effortlessly without coughing,

our air quality is so bad. So we need to
mop up the free radicals in our body. And what

are free radicals? These free radicals happened due to toxicity
due to your diaetary habits, due to cigarette smoke, due
to alcohol, due to lack of exercise, due to excessive
fat massive a bunch of carbohydrates, and not getting enough
exercise and not getting enough rest, and as we say
in Ireland, burning the candle at both ends. You've heard

that saying here in America now as well. So these
antioxidants which are found in these green superfoods, they provide
