eight twenty two. It's the Doctor Bob Martin Show.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
Welcome, Welcome, and thank you for making your health a
priority today. I'm doctor Adam Brockman, and wherever you're tuning in,
you're part of the collective conversation for better living. Let's
begin with this. Health is not something you lose overnight.
It's something that you surrender, one small choice at a time.
(01:23):
Think about that each late night, a skipped meal or
stressful commute. It's a micro withdrawal from the bank of vitality.
But the good news, the exciting news, is that you
can deposit back every single day. If you're ready to
reclaim those deposits, you've landed in the right place. This
(01:46):
show is where knowledge meets natural solutions. And yes, the
phone lines are open. Jot this down. It's eight hundred
six zero six eight a two to two. Again, that's
eight hundred six zero six eight eight two to two,
and then one more time, eight hundred six zero six
eight eight two to two. That's your toll free connection
(02:07):
to a healthier you. And for everyone who wants references
or deeper dives into today's content, you'll find it all
out online at doctor bob dot com. You can find
the program notes, recommended supplements, and products in our archived interviews,
and it's all there at doctor bob dot com. Spelling
out the word doctor doct rbob dot com. Folks, let
(02:32):
me hit you with the truth bomb. Normal is not
the goal. It's a warning sign. Normal today means tire
before noon. Normal today means caffeine to wake up and
alcohol to wind down. We've built this culture that calls
sickness common in health unrealistic, But on this show, we
(02:56):
choose common sense over common disease. We believe the body
is designed to heal when given a chance, and our
job is to give you the guidance to give it
that chance. So let's anchor ourselves with the headlines that
are shaping health this week. Because information is medicine, and
(03:17):
if you know what's impacting your world, you can make
smarter decisions about your own body. So let's start with
some health headlines this week. There's a global health momentum,
and according to NPR, global health leaders are uniting around
renewed optimism in the decade long fight against malaria. The
(03:39):
vaccines are advancing, and aid in collaboration is rebuilding. A
top health diplomat praised Washington's new plan for fund prevention
across Africa and Asia. And here's why you should care.
These diseases, like malaria, they don't just live over there.
One shift in say global travel or climate, can redraw
(04:03):
the map overnight. If we're strengthening public health abroad, it
also strengthens our immunity at home, So the takeaway your
immune toolbox matters. The small nutrients that have big ripple effects,
say vitamin D to regulate defense hormones, clean hydration to
(04:24):
move the lymphatic waste, and RESTful sleep to regenerate those
fighter cells. You can't out supplement a sleepless lifestyle. Your
body arm army and needs the rest as it is
as much as it reads needs those reinforcements. And there's
been also in headlines, there's been a historic medical first
(04:44):
in Spain. Reuters reported that surgeons in Spain completed a
world's first face transplant from a donor who chose assisted dying.
The procedure was successful, marking both scientific brilliance in profound
ethical reflection and as miraculous as this transplant is, it
(05:06):
reminds us that technology should serve humanity and not define it.
Medicine is sprinting ahead, but we need to take a
look at the ethics and learn to keep pace with that.
It's a call to integrate compassion with science. What should
be called the new Hippocratic promise, and that's to heal
(05:29):
the body without forgetting the humanity that sometimes gets left behind.
So if you want a natural health angle. Let's not
wait until our parts, our body parts fail to appreciate them.
Preventive care isn't as glamorous as it looks on and
say social media. Preventive care. It takes discipline, and that's
(05:52):
disciplined in disguise. You need to eat the rainbow, stretch
your joints, calm the nervous system. Those are your daily
transplants and progress. This week, we also got the FDA
that is pushing back on allergy treatments. A new allergy treatment.
It's a new oral drug for severe allergies, an under
(06:14):
the ton strip, and it was rejected by the US
FDA this week. Acquisitive Therapeutics was hoping for fast approval. Instead,
regulators requested more data. And that may sound like a setback,
but it's actually a teachable moment. You must ask yourself
why are allergies exploding in the first place. It's our
(06:37):
immune systems. They're overwhelmed by a modern brew of processed foods,
chemical fragrances, and chronic stress. The rejection of a quick
fix just underscores what we've said on the show for years.
Health isn't found in a strip that's under the ton
it's built in your gut, in the habits that you
do today. That's a place to begin. And we also
(07:00):
got a global chronic disease warning, and this was at
the World Health Organization's one hundred and fifty eighth Executive
Board session. The Director General urged United action on chronic illness.
And we're talking about heart disease and diabetes. They now
outpace all infectious threats combined. And we're not talking about
(07:22):
the contagious microbes that we should fear. Its contagious lifestyles,
the sugary drinks, the sitting culture, in the stress loops
that spread faster than a virus. The vaccine for that
epidemic is literacy, and that's health literacy. And that's why
you're here today to feed your brain a powerful, proactive information.
(07:48):
So what do these headlines mean to you as a parent,
a worker, a student listening right now? They mean global
progress starts in our local kitchens. When we add one
serving of real vegetables, you're lowering inflammation. And when you
take a calm breath instead of have a complaint, you're
lowering your blood pressure. When you walk your neighborhood instead
(08:12):
of just scroll past it. You're raising community immune function,
and yes there's data on that health is contagious when
it's modeled. If policy is a steering wheel, our habits
need to be the engine, and you're behind the wheel there.
Like every week, I'm inspired by the callers who remind
(08:34):
us that transformation is real. If you remember Doll in Bakersfield,
he ditched a twelve year reflux medication after adopting a
plant forward diet in digestive enzymes. We celebrate those wins
because one patient or listener's success becomes another's instruction manual.
(08:55):
So once you call today with your question, big or small,
sometimes one answer during this hour is the nudge someone
else needs. Every call opens a door to awareness, and
awareness is what fuels healing. So if you've ever noticed
how your body keeps score of every emotion. Our shoulders
(09:18):
are tense with fear, our stomach turns with worry, our
hearts raced with guilt. Those aren't random, They're signals. The
problem is society teaches that suppression and not interpretation. So
I tell patients imagine writing your symptoms a thank you note.
They're messengers, not mistakes. That headache says hydrate me. The
(09:40):
fatigue says pause me, and that tension says hear me.
Silence them long enough and they'll start shouting. But if
you listen early, they may whisper you some solutions. So yes,
take the supplement, visit the specialists, but begin with listening.
Healing doesn't start in a pharmacy, starts with awareness. So
(10:04):
let's head to break with some reflection and resolve. If
the headlines, the health headlines this week remind us anything,
it's this progress is happening, vaccines, ethics, awareness, but so
are preventable deaths every day from lifestyle disease. The truth,
the true revolution. It won't come from labs alone. It's
(10:26):
going to come from our kitchens, the parks, and honest
conversations like this. So I invite you to become your
own best doctor. Read the labels, question the news, move
your body because you can not, because you should, and
remember that vibrant health is contagious, share it, model it,
talk about it. All right, folks, we'll be right back
(10:47):
on the Doctor Bob Martin Show.

Our toll free hotline is eight hundred six zero six

(12:32):
eight eight two to two. All right, So, folks, Happy
February and welcome to Heart Health Month. It's at the
time of year we remind ourselves that love isn't the
only thing that needs protecting. It's our hearts that do
as well. So let me let me start with story.
Speaker 5 (12:52):
I met a gentleman.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
His name is Tom, at a wellness talk a few
years ago, sixty two years old. He is a retired machinist,
a salt of the earth kind of man. He told me, Doc,
I thought heart attacks happened to other people, folks who
ate worse than me, who smoked, who were stressed to
the gills. Then one morning I woke up with what
(13:18):
felt like an elephant dancing on my chest. He survived, thankfully,
But here's what struck me Tom. Look at Tom. He
wasn't unhealthy by conventional standards. He'd kept the same habits
for decades, fast food lunches, minimal exercise, enough sleep to
(13:40):
get by and nothing extreme. Yet his heart was quietly
losing ground year by year until it started to shout
for help the only way it knew how. Then that
moment scared him. It's called an awakening for him. And
in the two years since that heart event, he had
become a different man. He gardened again, He dropped thirty pounds,
(14:04):
He started walking each morning, and he replaced potato chips
with almonds, and learned to breathe instead of explode at
traffic lights, and even convinced his bowling team to meet
him at the park instead of the pub once a week.
And when I asked him what changed he besides all those,
(14:26):
he said something simple and profound. I started listening to
my heart. And that's our message this month. Prevention isn't punishment,
it's love and action. The heartbeat it beats thousands of
times a day, and it quietly is powering your future.
(14:47):
The least we can do is treat it like the
miracle engine that it is. And according to the American
Heart Association, cardiovascular disease remains the number one cause of
death in both men and women, and roughly one in
five deaths in the US. Trace back to heart disease,
and shockingly, most are linked to modifiable factors. So the
(15:10):
translation is that we can change them. It's not just
the big habits like smoking or the obvious obesity. It's
the every days, the sneaky ones, the chronic stress and
hidden sodium. Too many hours that are sitting, too little hydration,
too much screen time before bed. It's that quiet chaos,
(15:33):
the slowly draining the electricity out of our ticker and
the heart. It does have a forgiveness cause. Give it
oxygen and give it movement, give it clean fuel and peace,
and it will respond in remarkable fashion. It literally rewires
itself toward health, the same way a broken bone can
(15:55):
mend the hearts. Lining the fragile inner skin of the arteries,
it can regenerate, and that happens with every choice towards wellness,
and it destructs those blood vessels to behave younger. So
if we're looking at this and people hear the word
cardio and think of treadmill torture, but forget the treadmill
(16:18):
for a second. Cardio simply means movement that makes your
heart smile. It might be dancing in your kitchen, It
might be walking with a neighbor, or biking with your
kids or chasing your grand dog. The goal is an exhaustion.
It's elevation or raising your pulse enough and often enough
(16:39):
that your heart remembers how strong it's meant to be.
So I encourage you to start with ten minutes a day.
In just ten minutes, that's two songs on the radio,
and just slott it into your schedule as faithfully as
your favorite show. All right, folks, let's talk about food
for a second. Because your four is the number one scalpel.
(17:00):
Your heart loves color from berries and beats and carrots
and kale. Each of those colors represent antyoxidants that calm inflammation,
and inflammation is the hidden villain behind the plaque in
the arteries. It loves, you know, your heart. It loves
healthy fats, the avocados, the extra virgin olive oil, walnuts
(17:24):
and flax seed. They tell your cholesterol's chemistry to behave
the HDL, the good cholesterol goes up, the LDL, the
bad cholesterol goes down down, and your triglycerides melt off
the chart. So just one quick swap this month replaced
at least one processed meal per day with something that
(17:47):
you know your parents may have grew from the soil,
or a salmon salad that beats a mystery meat sandwich
any day. And if you want to supercharge your arteries
but you know, I recommend you do some dark chocolate
seventy percent real dark chocolate or higher, and just two
(18:07):
small squares after dinner. It's the doctor's orders. Now, if
we're thinking about mind over matter and stress, that's the
invisible scissor that can shred even a clean diet. When
you live in that fight or flight, the cordisol in
your body surges your blood pressure. It follows that surge
(18:31):
and inflammation goes wild wild. And then so during Heart
Health Month, I challenge you to treat stress the way
you treat cholesterol, with how you measure it and you
manage it. Try one minute of deep, slow breathing before
reacting to anything that annoys you. You'll feel silly maybe
(18:53):
the first time, but you'll feel powerful the third time.
That gratitude, journaling, prayer, meditation, those aren't luxuries. They're vital
signs for the soul and the heart. So I want
to give you a heart tip this to start this
heart healthy month, and that is the four by four rule.
(19:18):
If you're ready for that actionable it's again it's called
the four by four rule. Four things, four minutes each
daily and start with walking briskly for four minutes after
a meal, and then stretch your chest and shoulders for
four minutes to open up that lung capacity. And then
(19:41):
laugh or in intentionally destress for four minutes, watch or
read something that's uplifting, and then breathe deeply in hail
four seconds, hold four seconds, exhale four seconds, and then
hold four seconds. That for four rounds. So all that
(20:03):
is just sixteen minutes total to nourish the most crucial
muscle in your body, that's the heart. So we're not
talking about gym memberships or fancy devices, just consistency with us. Again,
that's the four by four rule. And Tom's story, remember,
didn't end in fear. It began a renaissance and yours
(20:26):
can too. The best Valentine that you can offer anyone
this February is the promise, and that's to make your
heart someone safe place by keeping it healthy and strong
for yourself and a loved one. So as Heart Health
Month kicks off, I want you to take inventory blow
(20:46):
the dust off your walking shoes, rediscover home cooked meals,
carve out some quiet space in your day, and most importantly,
listen before your heart has to shout. And because behind
lab numbers, behind the stethoscope's rhythm, there's poetry. And that's
the steady percussion of life that in that heart that's
(21:08):
still worth optimizing. So let's make this February not just
about hearts on cards, but hearts and action and listeners.
I want to ask you, what's your heart promise? This month?
You can call us an eight hundred and six zero
six eight A two to two to share your commitment,
or send us an email at doctor Bob dot com
(21:28):
and your story may inspire someone else's survival story. Well,
we're coming up on a break. I want you to
stick around. We're going to get into our special features
of the week when we come back. You're listening to
The Doctor Bob Martin Show.
Speaker 6 (22:00):
Mistakes, But everybody's got a choice to make.
Speaker 5 (22:05):
Everybody needs to lead the faith.
Speaker 7 (22:08):
Wady are you taking you out?
Speaker 2 (22:10):
Welcome back, Doctor Adam Brockman here as we return to
the Doctor Bob Martin Show, America's number one health talk
radio program. We're about to get in today's health Alternative
of the Week. But I also want to remind you
that your wellness journey continues even when we're off air.
Our physician team is always available for you at eight

entire podcast library anytime at doctor bob dot com. There
you can re listen to your favorite episodes, you can
catch up on shows you missed, or discover new health insights.
That's all available twenty four to seven at doctor bob
dot com. All right, let's let's talk about something most
(22:51):
people overlook and tell there's a problem, and that's problems
in your mouth. Oral health isn't just about a bright smile.
It's one of the biggest hidden influencers of your total
body wellness. Your mouth is like the front door to
your entire system. It keeps it healthy and it supports
everything from your heart to your immune system. That's why
(23:12):
I always highlight products that protect that gateway naturally, and
one of the best systems I've ever used is the
Spry Dental Defense System. Now Spry isn't your run of
the mill mouthcare brand. It's a science driven upgrade for
anyone that wants cleaner teeth and healthier gums without the
harsh chemicals and ingredients. The secret weapon is xylotol. Xylotol
(23:36):
is a gentle, plant based sweetener that actually helps your
mouth instead of hurting it. Unlike sugar, Xylotol starves bad bacteria.
It helps balance the pH of your mouth, It reduces plaque,
it fights cavities, and it keeps your breath noticeably fresher.
And here's my routine and you can copy it exactly.
(23:57):
I brush with Spry toothpaste, I rinse with Spry mouthwash,
and I chew Spry gum after meals that three step rhythm.
It neutralizes acids, it protects enamel, and it keeps my
dentist nodding with approval every visit. And Spry makes it
easy to build oral health into everyday life. There's no fuss,
(24:17):
no odor, and no synthetic junk. Their products are available
almost everywhere you already shop, and we're talking about CVS,
target sprouts, and natural grocers, wherever you find your wellness essentials.
Spry is likely right there waiting on the shelf. And
here's another fun fact. Spry is made by the same
trusted folks who bring you the Clear Nasal sprays. And
(24:41):
that's spelled Clear with an x x L E A R,
but it's pronounced clear. It's a natural sailine spray infused
with xylotol that gently cleans and moisturizes your nasal passages,
especially helpful when indoor air gets dry or the allergy
season starts to hit hard. And together, Spry and Clear
(25:01):
cover to the two main gateways to your health, and
that's your mouth and your nose. And also, folks, I
want to give a quick update for our loyal listeners
who entered last month's a giveaway, the Spry Bundle Giveaway.
The winners have been chosen, so I want to give
a big thank you to everyone who participated in our
Spray Dental Defense in Clear Nasal Spray Bundle drawing. Our
(25:24):
team will be reaching out to the lucky winners within
the next week and that is to arrange delivery of
their prizes. So keep an eye on your phone and
email if you entered the contest, and to everyone else,
stay tuned because more opportunities are coming your way soon,
and in the meantime, give Spry and Clear a try
for yourself. Visit Clear dot com again it's spelled x
(25:46):
L e A R dot com to explore in the
research behind xylotl in the entire family of Spry and
Clear products. Because when your mouth and your airways are healthy,
everything works better. Your breath, your sleep, your energy, in
your confidence. So go spry, breathe, clear, live better, and
(26:10):
keep smiling naturally. All right, folks, it's time for this
week's health Alternative of the Week. This is the part
(26:34):
of the show where we look to discover natural science
informed alternatives that actually work safely, effectively and cost effective
as well. Because February is Heart health Month and there's
one natural compound that continues to impress researchers from UCLA
to Harvard to Japan, and that is age garlic extract.
(26:56):
So today's spotlight product uses that very ingredient and it's
called Kyolic Cardiovascular Health Formula two fifty. Coyolic Formula two
fifty is carefully calibrated. It's a blend of age garlic extract,
vitamin B six, vitamin B twelve, fullic acid, and l rginine,
(27:16):
and each play an essential role in heart in your
health of the arteries. The magic begins with the garlic itself,
but not the raw bulb that you toss in your
spaghetti sauce. This garlic is aged for up to twenty
months and it's a process that removes the odor causing
compounds while preserving and enhancing its active antioxidants, and the
(27:38):
result a supplement that retains those garlics health. The garlic
health benefits but is odorless, and Formula two to fifty
is designed for those who want a comprehensive heart support
system and not just another generic garlic tablet. If you
think of it as nutrition's version of a multi layer
security system guarding your arteries's break down the science so
(28:01):
you get a clear understanding while this alternative deserves a spotlight.
So with age garlic extract, there's multiple clinical studies that
show it helps to reduce the arterial plaque build up,
it maintains healthy cholesterol levels, and it supports normal blood pressure.
It also enhances your body's natural production of nitric oxide,
(28:23):
and that is the molecule that is responsible for keeping
blood vessels open and flexible. So in simple terms, age garlic.
It helps your arteries behave younger than your driver's license
claims to be. So if we're looking at also these
B vitamins in the folic acid, together these nutrients help
clear an amino acid that's called homocysteine, and that is
(28:46):
taking it from a bloodstream. And we know at high
homocysteine levels is a known risk factor for heart attacks
and strokes. But thankfully it is modifiable, and so when
you feed your body the right B vitamins, you help
to keep that number down and protect the lining of
your artery and your heart. In l arginine, it's amino
acid that is your body's nitric oxide precursor, and that's
(29:10):
the fuel for circulation. It's like adding oil to an
engine so that the blood flow it's smooth and instead
of that grinding between those clog pipes. So l arginine
it also enhances exercise performance by improving oxygen delivery. So
together these ingredients don't mask the symptoms. They address the
(29:30):
root mechanisms of heart aging, and that's the oxidative stress,
the inflammation in that endothe oil lining dysfunction. So if
you've been told by your doctor that your cholesterol is
creeping up, your blood pressure is nudging northward, or your
arteries or tiding with age. This is a formula that
is worth knowing about and you know a Kyolic age
(29:55):
garlic extract is widely available in health food stores nationwide,
so places like nature grocers, whole Foods, sprouts, and independent
independent vitamin shops. You can also find it online through
trusted retailers or directly at chiolic dot com. It's aplled
kyo lic dot com. And be sure to specifically look
(30:16):
for the cardiovascular health formula two fifty. And that number
matters because Coyolic makes several different formulas for cholesterol, immune
or other circulatory support. So the formula two fifty is
the heart focused blend designed specifically for cardiovascular resilience and folks.
So if you're ready to give your heart a little
(30:36):
extra love this February, consider Chiolics Cardiovascular Health Formula two fifty.

steadier blood pressure in strong circulation. This has been your

O C t R bob dot com. All right, let's
get back into it today with our health outrage of
the week.
Speaker 11 (35:26):
Don't believe it.
Speaker 6 (35:30):
Each time for the health outrage, because it's not fun.
Speaker 2 (35:38):
All right, listeners, grab your mugs, because this week's health
outrage hits right where many of you start your mornings,
and that's with your favorite coffee bar or organic market.
And picture this. You stroll into this trendy cafe in
the chalkboard menu proudly list moon milk adaptogenic latte in
(36:00):
leap Alixir, and the barista assure you that for just
twelve dollars in an Instagram photo, you'll sip your way
into calmer nerves and deeper sleep. That sounds good until
you flip the label that soothing adaptogenic. That night drink
includes forty five grams of sugar and seventy milligrams of
(36:21):
caffeine and just trace sprinkles of that calming herb that
it advertises. So congratulations, you basically bought a dessert that
guarantees you won't sleep. And so we entered this million,
this multi billion dollar actually drink industry. It's a world
where slick marketing teams they turn buzzwords like adaptogen or
(36:45):
detox or calm blend into excuse drinks that need every
hour of your attention. They wrap their products and phrases
like clinically inspired or neurobalance stress defense all walk quietly,
pumping them full of refined sugar, synthetic caffeine, and artificial flavors.
(37:06):
This is health theater and finest It's a performance of
wellness with none of the plot integrity and the main actors.
It's a mix of boutique beverage startups, influencer driven lifestyle brands,
and increasingly these big box retailers that are cashing in
on anxious, underslept and over marketed public. So let's unpack
(37:28):
the damage these sugar bombs that are disguised as sleep aids.
This is a large serving of added sugar just before bed.
It actually raises your cortisol, it destabilizes your blood sugar,
and it triggers midnight awakenings, and that's the exact opposite
of relaxation. Yet most of these sleep lottes exceed the
(37:49):
entire day's recommended sugar intake in just one cup. And
these branding wizards, they often leave caffeine off the label
by calling it a natural energy from green Tea. But surprise,
many of these drinks still contain enough caffeine to delay
melatonin release by ninety minutes or more. So if we
look at these ingredients that they advertise, like oshwagonda and
(38:12):
a magnesium, they can genuinely support calm when properly dosed.
But many of these products actually contain less than one
fiftieth of the clinically effective labels. So you're paying this
premium price for just a little bit of pixie dust.
Of these of these great ingredients and the marketers they
exploit stress and insomnia. These are modern epidemics, but it's
(38:37):
doing it by selling you sugar and slogans. So sleep
we know is this fifty billion dollar industry between gadgets
and gummies and stylized nightcaps. Companies have learned that your
exhaustion is extremely profitable. They know that you're tired, you're overwhelmed,
and you're scrolling at midnight, so they market wellness in
(38:58):
neon script on on these nice looking cans of junk
soda or coffee, and instead of addressing the root cause
like the blue light exposure, the late caffeine, the stress,
the nutrient deficiencies, these products offer a decorative band aid
with oat foam on the top. So the result is
(39:19):
we got millions of consumers that feel like they've been
doing something healthy while actually worsening the problem that their
drink is claiming to solve. And that's not ironic. That's
where the outrage comes. So if you want to do
it yourself alternative, I encourage you to make a too
ingredient proven nighttime tonic and that's warm almond milk with
(39:43):
about a half teaspoon of organic tumeric or cinnamon, and
if you want to add a pinch of magnesium rich cocoa,
I think that's a great additive. And this costs about
thirty cents to make and not twelve dollars. So the
next time you see this calming collagen latte or a
detox for better dreams. Remember, wellness shouldn't be performed with
(40:08):
caffeine flavored with while the sugar. A real calm comes
from simple, evidence based habits. Adequate magnesium, stable blood sugar,
winding down your tech time, gentle stretching, and even gratitude
before bed. None of those fit in a disposable cup,
but all of them actually work. So for this week's
(40:31):
health outrage of the week, we're calling it, as we
see it, health washing in a twelve dollars pup. So
your best defense is to stay skeptic, and stay curious
and get a good night's sleep that you don't have
to buy by the step. All right, we'll be right back.

Speaker 2 (43:11):
Welcome back, Doctor Adam Brockman here for the Doctor Bob
Martin Show, and it's already time to close out this
week's show. And with that, it's also time for our
health mystery of the week. In this week's mystery is
(43:46):
paradoxical stress hypotension. It's one of those head scratchers, and
here's the setup. For most people, stress pushes blood pressure up,
your heart races your blood vessels titan. It's that classic
fight or flight, But in this rare condition, the opposite happens.
Under stress, these individuals experience a drop in blood pressure,
(44:09):
sometimes so steep that they can feel dizzy or even faint.
So what's going on here is the body pulling an
emergency brake or is it losing its steering entirely well.
Neurologists and indocrinologists think a few mechanisms might be at play.
One theory points to an autonomic malfunction, and that's the
(44:30):
sympathetic impair sympathetic systems firing at the same time, like
pressing the gas in the break together. And another theory
is the receptor fatigue. That's after prolonged stress exposure, the
body may stop responding properly to adrenaline. Then there's also
vaguel overdrive, and that's the powerful vegus nerve that dials
(44:53):
down the heart rate and blood pressure way too fast
and too much. And the real quot question is whether
this paradox is protective preventing runaway blood pressure, or if
it's a red flag for deeper systemic dysregulation. And some
researchers think it could be an adaptive trait in highly
(45:14):
sensitive individuals. And here's what's known. There's no consistent pattern yet,
only that it happens to about one in every one
thousand people in studied stress labs. And what's unknown whether
it predicts future cardiovascular issues or it simply represents the
body's unique fingerprint. And that's for coping in stress. So
(45:37):
what can we learn from it? First that stress management
really is precision science. You're breathing your mindset, even your
muscle tensions, and powerful biochemical signals. And second that curiosity
must also accompany caution. It's tempting to jump to conclusions,
but in science, as in life, patients often red feel
(46:00):
more than panic. So if you've experienced lightheadedness or fainting
under pressure, don't ignore it, investigate it, talk with your
healthcare provider, and remember knowledge is prevention. And if you've
got your own health mystery or natural healing success to share,
