Formaldehyde, a cancer-causing toxin is being used as a preservative in cosmetic cremes, lotions,
serums, wipes, oils, gels, and foams, an urgent warning has been issued to millions of women after
the carcinogen formaldehyde was detected in dozens of popular personal care products. What’s not
being reported is formaldehyde is an ingredient in many children and adult vaccines including DPT
(Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis), flu shots, polio, hepatitis and others. Why is the American Cancer
Society not sounding the alarm about formaldehyde in vaccines?

(01:23):
I'm doctor Bob Martin. Doctor Adam Brockman will be joining
us shortly. Here's he's the co host of the show
and the executive producer. And I thought that before we
get to the information, the breaking information about doctor Casey
Means MD, trained at Stanford University being nominated as the

(01:45):
Surgeon General of the United States. Oh boy, did they
open up a big controversial topic. Nominating doctor Casey means.
We're going to talk about that a little bit when
we're joined by doctor Adam Brockman a little bit later
in this hour. But I'm going to start with this
information about how formaldehyde maybe in your life and you

(02:09):
don't even know about it from aldehyde. You may have
heard it from aldehyde, the word form aldehyde. My first
experience with it is when I was training to become
a doctor and I walked into a laboratory which included
bodies of let's see, monkeys, cats, and humans. It was

(02:34):
a dissection laboratory, and as a young student learning anatomy
and all that sort of thing you have to learn
to become a doctor, you had to know which part
was which muscle, which bone, which tendon, which nerve, where
they went to, what their function was, all of those things.

(02:56):
All doctors have to know this stuff in order to
receive their education and ultimately they're license to practice among
you the consumers. And so I walked into this lab
and the smell and the stench of well rotting flesh
on these animals and the humans that were in there

(03:19):
that we were going to learn about anatomy up close
and personal, was unbelievable. It was really an adaptation for
me because I didn't like the smell of formaldeid It
burned my eyes inside of my nose. And then to
come to find out later in my life, I realized
that after reading about formaldehyde, formaldehyde is a carcinogen. It's

(03:42):
used as a way to preserve these tissues so that
they don't rot as much, but they still do, but
they're soaked in formaldehyde a sort of like a fixing agent,
if you will, So it keeps the tissue from degradating
or breaking down or degrading. But you just when you're

(04:03):
in that room with all those animals and the humans
that from aldehyde is wafting through the air and nailing you.
I want to talk about how These cancer causing formaldehydes
are found in dozens of common personal care products too,
which I didn't know about. I knew about it, but
I know is this bad. Experts have long been concerned

(04:26):
about the presence of a substance in chemical hair straightening
products and relaxing hair products. A new study has revealed
it is far more of the products that we see
in the marketplace than previously thought, including shampoo, lotions, body soap,

(04:48):
and even eye lash glue. And we all know right
now that putting a set of eyelashes on somebody who
is liked one of the most popular things out there.
Every woman and some men want more eyelash and they'll
do anything to get it, including putting these eyelash glues
on their skin, which have you guessed it? Formaldehyde in them.

(05:12):
Formaldehyde is a cancer causing toxin. It is. It's been
well proven. Keep that in mind, for maldehyde is a
cancer causing toxin. It's being used as a preservative, but
it can escape these products, just like it can escape
the bodies that have been soaked in it in these
dissection labs. And I know that sounds a little gross

(05:34):
and macabre, but hey, it's what we have to go
through to become doctors. It is, and I'm glad I did,
because you really know the body inside out once you
get through that class. If you come out of there
with you intact health, and sometimes that's hard because that
form aldehyde doesn't go away. It's absorbing into your tissues,
so you have to put up with it. It really

(05:54):
irritated my respiratory system big time too. But the risks
are heightened if an area like your bathroom or your
bedroom is poorly ventilated and you have these products that
have formaldehyde in them. Now, the American Cancer Society keep
this in mind. The American Cancer Society notes that in

(06:16):
animal and human studies, formaldehyde, the preservative or fixing agent,
has been linked to various forms of cancer, including cancer
of the nose, cancer of the upper throat, cancer of
the stomach, and it's also been shown to increase the
risk of leukemia, a blood and bone marrow form of cancer.

(06:39):
You never ever want. And any recent study by the
Silent Spring Institute, an organization dedicated to uncovering the environmental
causes of breast cancer, seventy black women and Latinas living
in Los Angeles, California were asked to track their use
of personal care products over a period of about five

(07:00):
to seven years. Each time the participants used a product,
they logged the information using their smartphone app developed by
Silent Spring. The app also prompted the participants to take
a photo of each ingredient list. The team analyzed over
one thy one hundred products looking for formaldehyde and formaldehyde

(07:23):
releasing preservatives chemicals that gradually release fromaldehyde over time in
the product's ingredients list. Fifty three percent of the participants
reported using at least one personal care product that listed
formaldehyde releasing on its label. Add many of the products

(07:45):
with fermaldehyde releasers in them the participants reported using were
applied daily, multiple times of the week, and companies they
add this formaldehyde to personal care products to extend their lifeself.
That's what they're trying to do. They're keeping them from
changing colors and changing smells and shriveling up, just like

(08:08):
they do with human cadavers. Formaldehyde releasing preservatives are often
used as an alternative, but serve as a same purpose now,
given that formaldehyde is known as a cancer causing agent
to humans, The study authors say findings reveal that both

(08:29):
critical safety gaps and how personal care products are regulated
in the US and their disproportional health impacts on women
of color, as most of these products found to contain
these substances cater to black and Latina women. And so

(08:49):
the long and the short of this is the following.
Formaldehyde is bad. The more exposure you have to it,
the worse off it gets. But the problem becomes when
you see that the preservatives that are used in well

(09:11):
vaccines also have lots of formaldehyde in them. I'm talking
about vaccines that are very very common in the United
States that are used frequently in children that are injected
with vaccines. If you look at the vaccine schedule, we're
talking about hepatitis vaccines and tetanus vaccines, for testis vaccines,

(09:37):
a whole long list of those vaccines. There is formaldehyde
in those vaccines. Look it up for yourself. You may
be shocked. And if formaldehyde is a big concern of
the American Cancer Society with respect to they are in

(10:00):
these personal care products that we rub on our skin
put in our hair, why aren't they worried about formaldehyde
as it relates to going into child and adult vaccines.
That boggles my mind. So hopefully the American Cancer Society

(10:21):
will wake up someday and say, yeah, we're concerned about
formaldehyde in personal care products and formaldehyde releasing agents. However,
we're as concerned or even more concerned about them being
placed in child and adult vaccines, including flu shots and
other things. So they turned a blind eye to the

(10:45):
holy grail, the profit center of conventional medicine and big pharma.
The more vaccines, the better, But are we really better off?
I don't think so. We'll get a commentary by doctor
Adam Brockman after this. I'm doctor Bob Martin.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
And you said Sunday, out of you give the changes
to live like you attack Doctor Pogo was a gift
and you got eternity to think about what you do
with it?

Speaker 4 (11:17):
What did you do with it?

Speaker 5 (11:20):
What did I do with it?

Speaker 2 (11:23):
What would I.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
Got?

Speaker 2 (11:29):
Hey? Welcome or welcome back to this hour of the
Doctor Bob Martin Show. Please stand by because coming up
this hour we're gonna get to your telephone calls of
those people who are listeners of the show that called
into the Doctor Bob Martin Show Caller hotline phone number
at eight hundred and six zero six eight eight two
to two to leave a question on the caller hotline

(11:50):
phone number so that doctor Adam Brockman can help me
to answer those questions. And if you have a question
about your own health or the health of somebody else
that you care to call it on, behalf of maybe
a loved on, a friend, a neighbor, coworker, you may
do so. And there's two pathways to get to us
so that we can answer your question or field your

(12:10):
health related comment. And they include that toll free number
that I just gave out, one eight hundred six zero
six eighty eight twenty two. When you call that number,
you'll you'll be asked to give your first name, the
city and state you're living in. First name, city and
state you're living in. Then your question or comments. That's simple,

(12:31):
one eight hundred six zero six eighty eight twenty two.
Or emails over on the website where all things health
related news live, the podcast library, all the social media platforms.
It's all over there at doctor bob dot com. Spelling
out the word doctor doctor Bob dot com. All right,
let me welcome to this hour, doctor Adam Brockman. Good

(12:53):
day to you, Doctor Brockman. Thank you for joining us Tim.

Speaker 3 (12:55):
Hi, doctor Bob, and good to hear from you again.

Speaker 2 (12:59):
Yeah, you have heard the introduction of the program today.
I was talking about how in twenty twenty three, the
Food and Drug Administration proposed a national ban on formaldehyde
and formaldehyde releasing agents in hair straighteners and personal care products,
which affect people every single day. And yet in the

(13:22):
American cancer society is also very concerned about formaldehyde, but
the medical profession has I mean, I don't get it.
They're worried about formaldehyde in these products that we put
on our skin, but they're not so worried about formaldehyde
in the childhood vaccines and the adult vaccines. The formaldehyde

(13:42):
that's going directly into the body, without the digestive system,
without the liver getting a first run pass it, breaking
it down. No problem on the vaccines, but boy, keep
that formaldehyde out of that stuff we put directly on
the skin. It amazes me, Doctor Brocolin your comments on that, sir.

Speaker 3 (14:02):
Yeah, Yeah, the vaccine, that's a topic that could be
all in itself there, and I think, of course we're
gonna obviously address that as the show goes on, probably
even today. But as far as these natural products, I
want to lead with some natural hair products for this
because this is since the topic is on the personal
care products. So with some shampoos and conditioners, looking for

(14:26):
products that have sulfate free and maybe made with natural
ingredients like coconut oil, alovera or maybe even some essential oils. Also,
those hair treatments you mentioned instead of chemical straighteners, consider
using natural oils like argan oil skincare as another thing
there that there's all kinds of natural oils that can

(14:47):
be used as moisturizers, almond oil, olive oil, shaye butter.
These are all things seen in natural health food stores.
And then as far as cleansers go, there's gentle cleansers
made with natural ingredients like honey, oatmeal, tea tree oil
that doesn't strip the skin of its natural oils. And

(15:08):
then also there's body washes out there that have that
don't have the synthetic fragmance fragrances or preservatives like coconut
milk they have and sexual oils in those as well.
The ehorants that that have baking soda, arrowroot powder, those
are those are options as well, and even even makeup, uh,

(15:28):
there's there's skin products for that that don't include those
synthetic chemicals, doctor Bob.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
So the the takeaway, thank you for that, doctor. The takeaway,
ladies and gentlemen, is that just because you know, conventional
products in the department store or the grocery store or
the drug store, these personal care products, whether they be
hair straightening products or shampoos or lotions, just because they

(15:57):
use formaldehyde in their formula in order to preserve the
products so that you as the consumer, don't send it
back and they lose money just because that's there. And
now that you know it, there are alternatives to that
that don't contain any of the formaldehyde, which we know
is a cancer causing agent. It's all about dose dependency,

(16:20):
of course, but nonetheless, with all the other toxins we
get exposed to add that onto the pile, it becomes
an issue. You want to avoid formaldehyde in all its forms.
And that's why I think it's so bizarre that the
American Cancer Society says, hey, we got to remove or
limit the exposure to animals and humans. The studies show

(16:40):
that formaldehyde has been linked to these various forms of cancer,
but of the nose, of the throat, of the stomach,
and other leukemia, blood cancer, but yet they don't mind
putting formaldehyde in a whole long list of these vaccines
that are available out there. So I think it's just
I think the consumers need to have, you know, adequate

(17:02):
information on this so they can make an informed decision.
And we're not saying to you, hey, don't get a vaccine.
We're saying, before you do anything I don't, I mean
anything medical, get full disclosure so there's transparency. Know what's
going into your body, Know what that drug that the
doctor may be prescribing to you has in it, and

(17:22):
know what the adverse side effect potential could be. If
somebody is suggesting to you to get a vaccine of
some sort of flu shot, whatever it may be, ask
what's in it? And unfortunately the studies are showing doctors
don't know what's in it, you know, so don't be
surprised if they have a blank look on their face
when you ask, doctor, could you please disclose it close

(17:44):
to me before you inject that into my arm or
my butt? What's in the vaccine? What are the individual ingredients?
Can you tell me? And you can you also tell
me what they do and when you see the response,
it'll say everything to you that you need to know.
In my opinion, and I understand, you know, the formaldehyde issue,

(18:04):
it's not good. And I also read an article years
ago doctor Brockman, where they interviewed morticians and they were
trying to figure out from morticians because they had gotten
feedback from morticians who deal with dead bodies why it
was that they were using less formaldehyde in their preparation

(18:28):
of somebody who's deceased. And they said, oh, we're saving
a ton of money these days as opposed to the
old days. And the reason for that is by the
time people get to the mortuary, they're already fully pickled
because they've got so much formaldehyde in their system from
the products that they're using, the vaccines that they're taking,
that we have to use less formaldehyde, and we're saving
money over here at the mortuary. I read an article

(18:50):
on that which is sounds so strange, but it is
so true. So that is probably the only industry that's
saving money, and it's mainly because we humans are getting
so full of formaldehyde before we get to the mortuary
that they don't have to inject as much in there,
which is really a sad event. All right, I want

(19:12):
to turn our attention away from that strange conversation. Some
people are just like rolling their eyes back in their head.
Right now, Doctor Brocklin to a topic that just broke
really within the last week or two, and that is
trying to find a new Surgeon General of the United States,

(19:33):
the top doctor that the government will lean on and
get advice from with respect to healthcare matters. Now, there
was another nominee who was eliminated due to some kind
of issue related to her credentialing, and now we have
another nominee. Doctor Casey means doctor Casey means female from

(20:02):
Stanford Medical School, top of her class, the very top
of her class medical school. Graduate of Stanford Medical School.
Then she went into a residency to become a odlearningologist,
somebody who deals with, you know, the upper airway of

(20:22):
the body, knows throat all of that, and working her
way through that residency, which is like a five year
stint after she receives her MD in medical school, and
for some reason in her final year she bailed, got out.
She saw some things she didn't like, and turned her

(20:43):
attention to a whole other category of healthcare. We're going
to be talking about that after this stay with us.
You're tuned into the doctor Bob Martinshew, are.

Speaker 4 (20:58):
You waiting for the right excuse?

Speaker 3 (21:01):
Are you waiting for sign and choose? Why are you waiting?
I'm the type. What are you in?

Speaker 2 (21:26):
All right? Doctor Bob? Marching back with you. We have
with us doctor Adam Brockman. He's here also helping out
today with questions on the topic of health, health and wellness,
and we'll have him join in on the conversation very
shortly here as it relates to his commentary and opinion

(21:48):
of the most recent Surgeon General of the United States, notmine.
The doctor Casey means a lot of controversy in the
Beltway over her nominee a nomination. We'll talk about it
shortly here and get to your phone calls a little
bit later in the hour. We're gonna also hear some
audio track of her speaking related to her own profession.

(22:13):
That'll be interesting. I know you'll find it interesting to
stick around. You know, nature is interesting in that we
continue to find resources within nature that can help our health.
Scientists are digging down, rolling up their sleeves and analyzing
individual nutrients of food that have therapeutic efficacy in helping

(22:37):
a whole variety of conditions that we didn't know about
until all of these sophisticated instruments we're able to measure
these various ingredients in foods. One particular one I want
to call to your attention. It is called palmitoy lethanolamine,
which is a big long word that is really a

(23:01):
natural ingredient inside certain foods in minuscule amounts. But it's
initials pea for short, so people can remember it. Just
write down pea. It is a nutritional supplement today, and
it does come in very very small quantities in certain

(23:22):
foods like egg yolks, for example, have pea in it,
but very small amounts. You'd have to eat like thirty
of them to get the therapeutic amount you need. But
the science is finally showing that this pea substance, when
it's used in concentrated forms via a supplement, can address
all kinds of health related problems. Once again, nature puts
something there for us to discover and then rally to

(23:44):
use it to address muscle pain and recovery from arthritis symptoms,
improve mobility and cognitive health, also a multitude of other concerns. Pea.
The supplement can address people that have allergies and respiratory symptoms,
even fibrol miami, which is a very recalcitrant condition that
medical care has very little answers for. And because of

(24:07):
PEA the nutritional supplement it's anti inflammatory action. PEA researchers
have investigated the ability to relieve pain in a variety
of conditions including neuropathy and sciatica and TMJ problems, jaw pain,
plus the scientific research on the most common forms of arthritis,
which is osteoarthritis. Taking pea in a nutritional form lowers

(24:30):
inflammatory cycles inside the body and helps to repair damage cartilage,
let's say, in your knees or your hips. So if
you're looking for something to improve your overall health, consider
supplementing your diet with PEA, the supplement from Arry Naturally
Vitamins to relieve acute and chronic pain better and have

(24:51):
better physical recovery of injuries, and even improve your mood, focus,
and even pump up the robustness of your immune system.
Take p EA by Terry Naturally Vitamins. You'll find PEA
at Finer Health food stores nationwide, or you can go
to the website Terry Naturally Vitamins dot com Terry Naturally
Vitamins dot com to find the supplement PEA. All right,

(25:15):
doctor Brockman, you heard my comments and throwing it open
on this. Doctor Casey Means a surgeon General nominee, a
Stanford Medical School graduate at the top of her class.
She has her MD, then she went into a residency

(25:39):
to become a odealerngologist, was in her I think final year,
and she just got fed up with conventional medical care
and what it represented and bailed out of it. I
want to play for you, doctor Brockman, an audio tape
of what she had to say, and then you and
I I want to discuss it with you to inform

(26:02):
the audience of what's going on with her nomination right now.
So here's doctor Carrie Means talking about her own education
as a medical doctor.

Speaker 3 (26:13):
Go.

Speaker 4 (26:13):
No medication that reverses diabetes, there's no medication that reverses
heart disease, there's no medication that reverses Alzheimer's dementia. There's
no medication that actually generates health. Only diet and lifestyle
strategies generate health. And so that should, obviously with the
foundation of our medical system but unfortunately we're not very
well trained as physicians to know that information or to

(26:36):
coach on it.

Speaker 2 (26:38):
And thus the genesis of this radio show thirty plus
years ago and radio shows like it trying to fill
in the gaps, the missing, massive holes in the gap
of the healthcare system, which is really not a healthcare system.
As doctor Casey Means points out, a surgeon general nominee

(27:00):
by President Donald Trump on a recommendation from Bobby Kennedy
Junior Health and Human Service as Secretary. He's saying, look,
here's the best person for the job. Top of her
class at Stanford Medical School, which is a top medical school,
fourth year into her program after medical school, and she bails.

(27:25):
I don't know why she bailed out, but I think
it's because she learned that it was just something she
didn't want to do, and she then moved toward looking
at public health metabolic health, meaning that she saw some
shortcomings in medicine and wanted to find out about how

(27:46):
the body's metabolism and lifestyle works. Because we know that
metabolic health refers to the efficiency the use of our
body energy, focusing on our health levels of blood, sugar,
blood pressure, cholesterol, tricks, all of those circumstances are weight.
These are all things that have to do with metabolism
for which there's no answers in medicine. As it relates

(28:08):
to chronic diseases that she pointed out, there's no cure
in any drug for diabetes, and there's no cure for
any with any drug for heart disease. There's no cure
for Alzheimer's disease in any drug. You're simply managing it,
which is the equivalent of kicking the can down the
road and believing somehow magically the problem's going to go
away when it never does. And meanwhile, you're you're basically

(28:33):
harboring patients with the belief that someday they're going to
get well, but they're never getting well and they're always
dependent on the medication. And doctor Brockman. In the earlier
part of the show, I said that seventy three percent
of adults and a survey done by some medical group
seventy three percent. AARP said that seventy three percent of

(28:55):
adults say that the healthcare system fails to meet eat
their needs. We've got about a minute before the break.
I want to have you start on that and then
we'll finish Doctor Brockman on the other side of this break.

Speaker 3 (29:08):
Yeah, the medical system is failing most of our seniors' needs,
and it's focus on getting away and necessarily diving into
politics on the show. I can say that anytime we
see leaders supporting access to holistic and natural healthcare options,
it's a win for everybody. It's a win for wellness,
it's a win for our seniors, and I think that

(29:29):
needs to be part of the focus. And this is
what we're seeing with the change in leadership here, Doctor Rob.

Speaker 2 (29:38):
Yeah, and I just want to we'll come back after
this break and talk further about this because I have
an idea. I have an opinion of why her nomination
is being so strongly opposed. So stay with us, ladies
and gentlemen. You're tuned into the Doctor Bob Martin Show,
Doctor Brockmann, and I will be right back.

Speaker 3 (29:59):
SI.

Speaker 2 (30:13):
You're tuned into the Doctor Bob Martin Show with me
as doctor Adam Brockman, co host of the program an
executive producer. Just before that break occurred, we were chatting
about the Surgeon General nominee, Doctor Casey Means who Bobby
Kennedy Junior, the HHS Health and Human Services Secretary recommended

(30:37):
Doctor to Donald Trump to nominate her for the Surgeon
General of the United States, and of course all h
broke out when that happened. Oh, I've seen audio tapes
online of doctor saying, oh could he? How could anybody
ever nominate somebody who didn't even finish their residency. She

(31:01):
can't know anything about healthcare of she's not a practicing MD.
How could she be the head doctor? Doctor Brockwin, what
do you think of this stuff? The opposition to this
very intelligent and skilled medical doctor, top of her class,
graduate of Stanford Medical School, in her fourth of five

(31:24):
years in her residency to become a surgeon, and now
as they nominate her, they're trying to sling every arrow
in every piece of dirt at her to knock her down.
What do you think that's all about?

Speaker 3 (31:41):
Well, I think we knew this was coming, and now
I don't think any of us know her policy stance
on most of this, But doctor means we do know.
She is an advocate for natural medicine. And I can't
say this when policymakers recognize the value of grade of health,
whether it's expanding access to chiropractic care, supporting supplements with

(32:05):
real science behind them, or ensuring safe natural remedies and
it's available to the public. That's something we should all
be able to get behind. And here's the bottom line,
doctor Bob. The more we advocate for choice in healthcare
where people can blend the best of modern medicine, which
we know is emergency services and that's about the sick

(32:28):
cares that's where it's at, or the time tested natural solutions,
the healthier we become. And if the you know, the
Attorney General with this for health ever wants to you know,
I think that she's really making this push because she
saw something and that's why she she went ahead and said, hey,

(32:49):
I've had I've had enough. I'm gonna switch gears. And
she's a big advocate for this regenda medicine services, natural medicine,
and that's what we need to get behind here.

Speaker 2 (33:00):
Agree more. Think about it. You have a person who's dedicated,
let's see, four years in her undergraduate degree, four years
in medical school, three or four years in medical school,
and then four years in a residency. She's got literally
twelve twelve years wrapped up of her life and she
bails out to teach, and they thought, well, she thought

(33:23):
she was going to be in academia teaching, but then
she basically decided, hey, look here's where the action's at
in healthcare. I want to teach people how to overcome
these diseases, and that is through lifestyle change, meaning they
can become their own best doctors most of the time
if we'll just teach them. And right now she's basically
inferring here by bailing out of medical school. We're not

(33:45):
teaching them. We're cutting, slicing, dicing, doing procedures and giving
drugs and kicking the can down the road. We don't
give the general public enough information so they can take
charge of their own health. We just tell them, hey,
when you're broken, come back. We'll try to fix you
and give you symptomatic relief until you break again. That's
not a healthcare system. Yeah, we need crisis care. We

(34:06):
need medical care. They do great things, they save lives.
Of course, we need drugs, we need surgery, but they're
used too often. That's her messaging, and her brother, Kayley
means the two of them. They know he's been an
advisor to President Trump for quite a while. And I

(34:28):
think she's probably one of the bravest women I know
right now in medicine, mostly to take on a job
like this, being nominated and when somebody resists this kind
of nomination with somebody who's gone through everything that they
have gone through, and now they're chastising her saying, oh,
she just not qualified. Well, the only reason that I

(34:48):
hear that clamor going on you have to follow the
money trail if big pharmaceutical companies believe that they don't
have an advocate at the top of the food chain
in terms of the Surgeon General of the United States,
and she won't support drugging everybody and vaccinating everybody mandated
or not. You know, she's not on board with what

(35:09):
is taught in conventional medicine. She's almost like a medical
heretic becoming ensconced into the top role of the government
as Surgeon General of the United States. And I say
to that, great, we need it. Why do we need it?
Because the system's broken. And you can't fix a system
if you do status quo and put another person who

(35:32):
is owned by the pharmaceutical industry, like the last Surgeon
General was, and the one before that, and the one
before that, and the one before that. Finally, we're seeing
light at the end of the tunnel, thank goodness, due
to the Trump administration and implanting Robert F. Kennedy Junior

(35:53):
into Health and Human Services. These are the only ways
these changes are going to be made by putting people
in charge of certain areas of our government that will
make the changes that our sick care system needs to
make to become a true healthcare system, which should be
about teaching people and encouraging people and incentivizing people to

(36:16):
stay healthy in the first place so they don't get sick.
I mean, it's just crazy what is going on here.
We spend the most of any country, industrialized country on healthcare,
and we have the sickest nation of all of the
industrial countries. So we're paying more getting less. It's about

(36:37):
time we make the change. I'm all for doctor Casey
Means as surgeon generally in the United States and the
heck with the status quo. But I'm also an advocate
for the consumer across the board, and I know you
are too, Doctor Brockman. All right, We're going to come
right back. Stay with us. It's the doctor Bob Martinshow

(37:03):
focus is the doctor Bob Martin Show you're tuned into.
Thank you for that. All right, We're gonna go to
now the Doctor Bob Martin Show caller hotline number and
your calls, and we're gonna also go next hour to

(37:26):
more of them, So don't go anywhere. Our number into
the program. Should you have a health related question or comment,
eight hundred six zero six eight eight two to two
eight hundred six zero six eighty eight twenty two to
the phone lines, we go, Doctor Brockman. First up is John.

Speaker 5 (37:45):
My name is John, calling from boy and just had
a question about recovery. I was wondering what would you
recommend to help with to help improve recovery times after exercise.

Speaker 2 (37:57):
Great show, Thank you all right, Doctor Brockman. I know
you've been involved in sports medicine for a long time
and your regenerative health clinic. You'll start off sir, all.

Speaker 3 (38:07):
Right, Yeah, John, I think this is a good question
because a lot of a lot of call ins that
we want to stay active and the best way to
do this is to reduce recovery time. Is a supplement
at creatine. It's been popular for years now and some
research is backing that. As far as muscle recovery. It

(38:28):
also helps to bring in fluids into that muscle. It's
a it's a great way to for that post exercise
you know, that delayed muscle soreness there, So creating would
be a good one. A good multi vitamin might also
help with that because as we know, we might not
get everything through diet, so if we're taking a good
multi vitamin, that cover might cover some of the gaps

(38:49):
for us as well. John, Thank you, Yeah, And.

Speaker 2 (38:52):
I just add to that, John, just you know, in
your exercise habits, make sure you're staying hydrated because it's
the lack of acid build up after you tear down
the muscles doing resistance training that tends to cause the
soreness post exercise workout. And that's what causes people to
stop their exercise because the pain is there, the discomfort

(39:13):
is there, so they don't want to go back in.
So staying hydrated. Maybe the use of hydrotherapy where you
go from hot to cold. If you happen to have
a gym or an exercise facility that have both a
whirlpool and a cold plunge of hot and cold water
set up there, you can go back and forth between

(39:34):
the two after your workout, and that will also flush
that lactic acid out of there. There are homeopathic remedies
you can use like arnica post exercise, and you can
use botanicals like turmeric. There's one in the marketplace called
Cure med or Cure Amin's by Teary Naturally vitamins. Or

(39:57):
you can use enzymes. Proteolytic enzymes are another way to
break down these lactic acid debris and other things that
cause inflammation. A good one there would be Vascular Defense
over at Sunnutrition dot Com. Vascular Defense Sunnutrition dot Com,
Cure Meds or Curemen's Terry Naturally Vitamins. The arnica you

(40:19):
can get any health food store. Most of these actually
are available in health food stores. And when you do
these things, I think you're going to see a lot
less in the creating mean doctor Brockman mentioned, you're going
to see some fantastic results and have less soreness. Appreciate
the phone call, JHNA. We're there listening to khvh am
A thirty and Honolu. We'll be right back on. Doctor

(40:40):
Bob Martin
