that's eight hundred six zero six eight hours or at
doctor bob dot com. And folks, the ink. It's still

(02:06):
wet on this week's medical journals. And we are living
in the age of breakthrough. But as your resident longevity
enthusiasts and your health motivator, I have to ask, are
we breaking through to better health or are we just
finding more expensive ways to fix what we should have
prevented in the first place. So today we're going to

(02:28):
dive deep into the health headlines, everything from smart brain
cleaners to cancer vaccines, and I'm going to give you
the spin on how to stay healthy in this high
tech world without losing your soul or your savings accounts
at the online shops or retail cameras. So let's go
ahead and get into this week's health headlines. First up

(03:00):
on the docket is a story that has the intercinology
world buzzing, and that is the FDA has officially given
the green light to something known as a weekly and
that is the first ever once weekly insulin for type
two diabetics. Now, if you're one of the thirty seven
million Americans that are living with diabetes, you know the routine.

(03:23):
It's the fingerprink, prick, and the plunge type of day
and sometimes multiple times a day. It's it's tedious, it's painful,
and frankly, it's compliance is a nightmare. And research shows
that nearly fifty percent of people on daily insulin regiments
they miss a dose or they take them incorrectly. So

(03:43):
this enters a weekly it's one shot and once a week.
It's being hailed as this paradigm shift in metabolic management.
So you know, I'm all for making life easier. If
the weekly shot keeps that patient's blood sugar from spiking
into that danger zone. That's a win for modern engineering.
But here's the kicker. Insulin is a storage hormone, and

(04:06):
when we flood the body with it, even a slow
release version, we were often just managing the symptoms of
a metabolic fire rather than putting the fire out. So
we're treating that smoke and not treating the condition itself.
So in addition, you know, you know, we should probably
jump on this weekly needle bandwagon. But let's talk about

(04:29):
the mineral matrix. We're talking about chromium. That's an unsung
hero of insulin sensitivity. And before your pancreas throws in
a towel, are you at giving it that raw materials
it needs to function. So transition to a high fiber,
a mineral rich diet that can do great things, and
it can do it for your A one C, which

(04:50):
is important in this diabetes management this test. So if
we're sticking with this blood sugar theme, researchers in Japan
have cracked a code that has baffled scientists for decades.
How do you get insulin this protein, this delicate protein,
past the acid vat of the human stomach without it
being destroyed. So they developed something called a cyslic DNP

(05:13):
peptide and think of it as a microscopic armored car.
This peptide wraps around the insulin, it protects it from
the stomach acid, and it cruises right through the intestinal
wall and that gets into the bloodstream. So there's no needles,
no bruising, just a pill that you can take once
a day. This could potentially help millions of people who
have that needle phobia or who are in that early

(05:35):
stages of insulin resistance itself. So this is a fascinating technology,
but it highlights another truth. We are becoming a nation
that would rather take a pill to manage a cookie
habit than stopping stop eating the cookies in the first place.
In this convenience it's there, it's everywhere in our lives, right,
But the physiological cost of a bypass digestion is something

(05:59):
we haven't fully mapped out yet. So if you're looking
to improve your glucose response, look towards Berberin. It's often
called nature's met form and for a reason, it activates
something known as AMPK, and that's your metabolic master switch.
It's about teaching your cells how to burn the fuel again,
rather than just forcing more fuel into this crowded room. Now,

(06:23):
let's shift gears to one of the most fear diagnosis
in modern medicine, and that's Alzheimer's. We've seen a lot
of false starts with drugs that clear the amyloid placking,
but it also can cause brain bleeding. However, a new
breakthrough involving car astrocytes. It's turning heads and instead of

(06:45):
a drug that wanders aimlessly through this blood brain barrier,
scientists are now using a single injection of re engineered
helper cells, these astrocytes that act like a rumba for
your brain. So they're program to identify, hunt down, and
literally eat the toxic plaques that lead to cognitive decline. So,

(07:07):
in these early trials, the cleaning action what's eighty percent
more effective than previous pharmaceutical attempts. So it's a great
move reprogramming cells to be cleaners. It seems like it's
straight out of a novel, But we have to ask
why the plaque is there in the first place. Is
it the cause of the fire or is it the

(07:29):
ash that's left behind? And in longevity, it's not about
cleaning up the mess. It's about preventing that brain rot
in the first place. This is where the liver brain
connection comes in. If your liver is sluggish, your brain
becomes a dumping ground for toxins. We need to focus
on neural protective fats like omega threes and your brain

(07:53):
it's actually sixty percent fat. So if you're eating these
frankin fats, those ultra sessed foods and the seed oils,
you're basically asking for that plaque build up. So if
you give your brain the good grease before you resort
to those cellular janitors. And for decades, the big one

(08:14):
heart bypass surgery meant cracking the chest open like a lobster,
weeks of recovery in a massive scar. Well, the future
just called in. It brought a catheter. Surgeons are now
successfully performing catheter based coronary bypasses. They thread a tiny
device through a vein in the leg, they navigated it
to the heart and create a detour around the blockage

(08:36):
without having this single major incision. It's like fixing a
highway by building a tunnel underneath it while the cars
are still moving. So patients are going home in forty
eight hours instead of up to ten days. With traditional
bypass surgery. So here we need to talk about nitric oxide.
I've discussed this with biochemists like doctor Nathan Bryan on

(08:57):
the show. In nitric oxide is what keeps your arteries
slippery and dilated. So instead of waiting for a bypass,
let's talk about N one h one our hawthorn berry
and also movement. So if you keep your pipes clean,
you have you're managing that inflammation right there on the spot.
And finally, we have news from South Korea regarding a

(09:20):
personalized cancer vaccine, and unlike vaccines that we're used to,
this isn't to prevent an infection. It's to teach your
immune system how to recognize and take care of assassinate
those specific tumor cells that are already in your body.
By taking a biopsy of the patient's tumor, scientists can
create a wanted poster for the immune system. So once injected,

(09:42):
your own t cells become these bounty hunters with a
ninety percent accuracy rate in early clinical models. So this
is precision medicine at its finess. But we also need
to ask why are our internal police force failing in
the first place. Our immune system it often comes back
to the gut. Seventy to eighty percent of our immune
system lives in your gut microbiome. So if you're destroying

(10:04):
your gut through processed sugar and stress, those bounty hunters
are basically asleep at the desk. We need to support
our natural killer cells with things like medicinal mushrooms and
high dose vitamin D. Let's make your body an environment
that cancer cells can't live in in the first place.
So here we go where medicine is great for that

(10:28):
crisis prevention, but we also need to look at longevity,
and that's a lifestyle. It's about the habits that you
build when the headlines aren't screaming at you. It's about
using health as a lens through where you see the world,
not a leash that keeps you tied to a pharmacy.
So we got a lot more to cover this hour,
including our health alternative coming up. So don't go anywhere.

(10:48):
This is the doctor Bob Martin Show with doctor Adam Brockman.
Let's take control of your health together.

Speaker 4 (11:00):

Speaker 2 (12:10):
Okay, it's gonna me a good line.

Speaker 7 (12:14):
That's one line there to say anything.

Speaker 5 (12:19):
Everything's fine.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
Welcome back to the Doctor Bob Martin Show. I'm your host,
doctor Adam Brockman. We just went through this week's health
headlines and don't get me wrong, I love the headlines.
I love the breakthroughs, but I'm also worried that we're
losing the forest for the trees. These once weekly shots
and these brain cleaning injections, they're exciting, but here we are.

(12:48):
We're we're sitting with sixty percent of the American diet
is still ultra processed garbage. We're looking for the magic
bullet while we're literally starving ourselves for minerals. You are
what you absorb. And if we aren't getting the magnesium
or the zinc in the trace minerals from our soil

(13:09):
or our foods, our high tech bodies are just going
to keep breaking down. So I want you to consider
that with context when we talk about some of this.
How can we get back to what our body does best,
and that is to thrive. And so that's what we're
all about here on the show. We want to see
you thrive. So if you've got questions about your health,

(13:33):
or you need a little bit of help are you
or you've had a breakthrough yourself, we want to hear
about it. We want you to call us at eight
hundred six zero six eight eight two to two. That's
the Doctor Bob Martin caller hotline. That's eight hundred six
zero six eighty two to two. Okay, let's move on
to a topic that most of us are experiencing right now,

(13:55):
and that's allergies. So if you're currently squinting through itchy,
swollen eyes or you're reaching for that third box of
tissues today, you're not alone. We are officially in the
thick of this allergy season and it's a war zone.
So we have to talk about what's happening outside right now.

(14:16):
We're not just looking at a bad allergy season. We
are witnessing what researchers are calling a sneeze apocalypse. For
the first time in recorded history, the traditional boundaries of
pollen seasons have completely shattered. Usually we see tree pollen
in the early spring, followed by a polite handoff to

(14:38):
grasses in May, but not this year. Thanks to shifting
climate patterns, these seasons have merged into one massive, overlapping
biological bonfire. So we've got our immune systems. We're being
hit from every single angle and it's happening all at
one time, and it's staggering to see how many of

(14:58):
us are struggling to by taking usual medications. So if
you feel like your clariton or your zero tech has
suddenly stopped working. You're not imagining this. This isn't just
a tough year. The very nature of allergy season has changed.
Since nineteen seventy the freeze free growing season has lengthened

(15:23):
by an average of twenty one days across almost ninety
percent of US cities, So that is an extra three
weeks of plants that are pumping out irritants. And in
this year, in twenty twenty sixth, the data is even
more shocking. We are seeing these rivers from late last
year that are fueling a growth explosion. So we've got

(15:47):
places like Boise, Idaho, where remarkably their hit number one
on the allergy charts this year, and across the southeast,
fallen counts are surging from near zero to over five
hundred grains per cubic meter, and that's in a single afternoon.
And then we got in Georgia, for example, we're seeing

(16:09):
peaks that are exceeding two thousand grains. So that's not
just a pollen bomb that's going to overwhelm any healthy
respiratory system. But here's here's the real truth. The reason
you feel like a zombie isn't isn't the pollen, it's
the way you're treating it. Most of us have been
conditioned to reach for that band aid type of approach.

(16:32):
We see a symptom, we want it gone, so we
pop into over the counter and a histamine. These drugs
they're designed to block histamine receptors, essentially putting a muzzle
on your immune system. But when the pollen count is
at two thousand, that muzzle's not enough. So what's worse
is this chemical strait jacket that these medicines put you on.

(16:55):
We're talking about the brain fog, the low energy levels
in a dry sensation that makes you you feel like
you've been wandering the Mojave desert. We see a massive
rebound effect. Then, when you rely on those nasal decongestion
sprays for more than three days, you forget. Your body
forgets as well how to regulate its own blood flow

(17:19):
in the sinus cavities. So you stop the spray in
your nose, it starts to slam tighter than that bank vault.
It's a vicious cycle that keeps you dependent on the
pharmacy aisle while never actually addressing what your body is
overacting to. In the first place. This is where we
need to pivot from that conventional thinking to more holistic

(17:41):
wellness approach. So how do we fight back without turning
into a drowsy mess. We have to look at the
root cause this is a conversation that you need to
be involved with. Seasonal allergies are they could be considered
a gut health issue. I know that's saund strange. Why

(18:01):
would your stomach affect your nose? It's but it's something
that's called the gut liune axis. In about seventy to
eighty percent of your immune system lives in the digestive track.
So when your microbiome is out of balance, your immune
system becomes twitchy, if you will, It starts seeing harmless
oak pollen as this huge threat and it launches a

(18:24):
full scale inflammatory response. But by fixing your gut, you
are essentially lowering the temperature of your immune system. So
let's talk about these heavy hitters. If you're looking for
a health alternative, look no further than curse atin or
something known as butterbur curstin. It's a bioflavonoid that's found

(18:45):
in red onions and apples, and it's essentially nature's master stabilizer.
It prevents your mass cells from dumping histamine in the
first place, so you can think of it as preventive
maintenance for your body's fire alarm. Then there's butterbur. So
these new studies this year, these clinical studies have shown
that high quality butterbur extract is just as effective as

(19:08):
some leading over the counter medicines, but without those zombie
mode side effects. So that's a game changer for those
looking for daily performance in longevity. And then we got
to mention steaming nettle. It's been used for centuries, but
modern science is finally catching up to that is proving
its ability to inhibit the pro inflammatory pathways that lead

(19:32):
to that miserable, stuffed up feeling. So when we combine
these natural allies with a focus on gut healing, probiotics
and fermented foods, we're getting past that sneeze apocalypse. We
are building a fortress that pollen can't breach. This is
how we take control of our health instead of being
victims of a weather report. And of course we need

(19:55):
to have some tactical maneuvers in our daily lives. You've
got to be smart about your environment. If you're heading
out for a jog at say ten am, you're walking
right into that peak pollen release window. So try to
time your outdoor activities for the early morning or right
after a rainstorm, when the air has been scrubbed clean.

(20:16):
And please, for Heaven's sake, you know, let's talk about
your your sleep quality. Get a high quality HEPA filter
for your bedroom. You spend eight hours a night breathing
in whatever followed you home from your clothes and your hair.
And then I also want to talk about using a
nasal spray we talk about often on the show, and

(20:38):
that works with your body, and that's clear nasal spray.
It physically washes out this pollen bomb and it gets
it out of your nasal passage. So you may need
to use it several times a day during this peak season.
It's simple, it's cheap, and it works. So we have
to stop accepting brain fog as this price of admission

(21:01):
for springtime or allergy season. You deserve to enjoy the
blossoms without the burden of that chemical haze. So if
we're shifting our perspective from blocking the symptoms to modulating
that immune response, we can thrive even in the face
of this huge unprecedented twenty twenty six allergy season. It's

(21:24):
about arming you with the right tools, the right nutrients,
the right timing, in the right mindset. All right, folks,
So I want you to stay with me because when
we come back from a short break, I'm going to
reveal this week's health alternative. You're listening to Health Talk
America Presents the Doctor Bob Martin Show. I'm Doctor Adam Brockman.

(21:45):
Don't go anywhere. We'll be right back after these messages
from our sponsors.

Speaker 7 (22:06):
Anybody's got mistakes, but everybody's got a choice to make.

Speaker 3 (22:12):
Everybody needs to leave the faith. Monny, you're taking yours money.
You infound. Welcome back to help Talk America Presents the

(22:36):
Doctor Bob Martin Show. I'm your host, Doctor Adam Brockman.
And if you're just joining us, you've timed it perfectly.
We're diving straight into one of my favorite parts of
the show, and that's the health alternative of the week.

Speaker 5 (23:08):
Now.

Speaker 3 (23:08):
Look, we live in a world that feels increasingly like
a bacteria minefield. It's allergy season, and if you step
outside today you'll know exactly what I'm talking about. We're
in the middle of what we called in the last
segment sneeze Apocalypse. Between the aggressive new pollen strains in

(23:29):
the ever evolving bugs that are floating through the air,
it feels like we're constantly under siege. But here's the thing.
Most people are trying to fight the battle after the
invaders have already set up camp in their system. They
wait until they're congested or scratchy and also miserable before
they start to reach for a solution. So today I

(23:52):
want to teach you how to be the bouncer at
the club of your own body. We're talking about securing
the two front doors. If you think about your body
as this high security fortress, you've got skin like armor,
in immune system that's like a specialized task force, in
a gut microbiome that acts like your internal intelligence agency.

(24:17):
But even the best fortress has its entry points, and
for human those front doors are your nose in your mouth. Statistically,
over eighty percent of all infections enter the body through
these two openings. If you think about that just for
a second. We spend thousands of dollars on home security systems, right,

(24:39):
but we leave the two most important interances to our
health wide open and unprotected. So today, we know the
air quality in the concentration of airborne irritants have reached
a point where just washing your hands isn't enough. You
have to wash your air and you have to scrub
your breath. Years we've talked on the show about the

(25:03):
gut microbiome, and for good reason, but part of the
frontier of longevity and also wellness. Today we need to
talk about that oral in the nasal microbiome. Your nose
isn't just a vacuum for oxygen, it's a sophisticated filtration system.
And your mouth isn't just for eating, it's the gateway

(25:23):
to your digestive and you're also your cardiovascular health. And
when these microbiomes they get out of balance, the bad guys,
the bacteria and the allergens, they don't just pass through,
They move in, They stick to your tissue, They multiply
and they start causing trouble. And this is where most

(25:43):
people go wrong. They use harsh chemicals or antibiotics that
kill everything, the good and the bad. That's like burning
down the house to get rid of a spider. Right.
So this health alternative that I'm going to bring you
today is different, but it's also something we talk about
a lot on the show. It's about transformational hygiene and

(26:04):
it uses a secret weapon and that's called xylotol. So
let's get into the why the why. It comes directly
from two brands that I trust, and that's clear in
Spry and Xylotol is the star. And it all comes
down to a concept called anti adherents. You see, bacteria,

(26:25):
they're like little hitchhikers with sticky hands. To make you sick,
they have to grab onto your cell walls and hate
on for dear life. And if they can't stick, they
can't colonize. And if they can't colonize, they just get
washed away, in this case, washed away with xylotol naturally.
And xylotol is great because it's naturally occurring into bad bacteria.

(26:47):
Xylotol it looks like a delicious meal. But here's the catch.
They can't metabolize it. The bad bacteria can't. When they
try to eat it, they lose their ability to stick
to your tissue. It's essentially like putting a shield on
your nose and in your mouth. The bad guys they
just slide right off and they head straight for the exit.

(27:09):
So let's go go ahead and talk about that front door,
and that's the nose. During this season, this allergy season,
right now, your nasal passages, they're taking a beating every
breath you take. It's like pulling in all this dust
and dander and pollutants and also pathogens. And if you're
using a sailing spray, you're doing okay, but you're missing

(27:31):
that magic ingredient Clear, and it's spelled with an x
x L E R. The nasal sprays that they make
combine that soothing sailine with xylotov and it doesn't just moisturize,
it cleanses. It's like a nasal car wash. And when
you use Clear, you are physically washing away the allergens
and also that bacteria that are trying to set up shop.

(27:54):
So I tell my patients all the time, you wouldn't
go a full day without washing your face or brushing
your teeth, So why would you go a full day
without washing your nose. It's a simple, and in this case,
it's an all natural habit that can change your life.
And because it's drug free and non addictive, you can
use it as often as you need to. It's safe
for everyone from toddlers to your great grandparents. Now let's

(28:18):
pivot on to that second front door, and that is
the mouth. Your oral health is this massive predictor of
your overall longevity. We know now that there is a
direct link between oral bacteria and heart health. And this
isn't just about avoiding the cavities. It's also about protecting
your entire system. And this is where spry comes in.

(28:40):
Between meals, your mouth it becomes acidic, which is a
perfect environment for bad bacteria to thrive. So spry it
has a full lineup toothpaste, mouth rents, gum, and mints,
But today I want to go ahead and focus on
spry gum and mints, and these are loaded with xylotol.
When you pop up a piece of spry gum, two

(29:01):
things happen. You increase your saliva production. You stimulate this
flow of saliva, which is your body's natural defense mechanism
in your mouth. Saliva buffer's acid in It reminializes your teeth.
It also, spry gum and mints also decrease your ability
for bacteria to thrive. The xylotol goes to work. It

(29:22):
prevents the bacteria from sticking to your teeth and your gums.
This is an easy health hack that you can put
into works right away. You're already chewing gum, why not
choose something that actually is working for you. Spry is
one hundred percent xylotop so there's no spart time or
artificial sweeteners, no junk, just pure tasty goodness. So this

(29:46):
conventional approach to seasonal allergy use it Usually it involves
these antihistamines that leave you feeling like a zombie or
decongestans that keep you up all night. They address the
symptoms after the fact. So this health alternative approach, the
Spry and Clear approach, is proactive prevention. We're not waiting
for the sneezes to take place over and over again.

(30:08):
We're in reinforcing the doors before the storm even hits.
It's natural, it's science based, and frankly, it just makes sense.
So I don't want you to take my word for it.
I want you to experience the difference when you can
actually breathe through your nose and when your mouth feels
like it's dentist clean all day long. You can find
the entire line of Clear in Spry products at almost

(30:29):
any health food store. Including natural grocers, retail giants like Target,
your local pharmacy or CVS, and of course on Amazon
are through their website at Clear. But I also want
you to go ahead to their website and do a
full dive into the science and see those clinical studies.
All I got to do is head over to clear
dot com. It spelled x L e R dot com.

(30:50):
All right, folks, I want you to stick around. This
has been your health alternative. You are listening to Health
Talk America presents the Doctor Bob Martin Show. I'm doctor
Adam Brockman. And when we be write back after this
or great? Do you know about your body's most important
signaling molecule. It's called nitric oxide, and without it you

(31:13):
lose energy, endurance in circulation from head to toe. That's
where doctor Nathan Bryan's N one oh one comes in.
They're the world's nitric oxide innovation experts, backed by Nobel
Prize winning science, helping your body restore its natural power
to expand blood vessels, deliver oxygen, and energize every cell.

(31:34):
More nitric oxide means better heart health, faster recovery, and
sharper mental focus. And whether you're an athlete, dealing with
blood pressure issues are just wanting to feel years younger.
N one oh one has the proven science based solutions
to get you there naturally and safely, So don't wait
for fatigue or poor circulation to slow you down. Call

(31:56):
eight three two seven seventy nine four four three five.
I've right now. That's eight three two seven seventy nine
four four three five, or go online to N one
oh one dot com. That's N one oh one dot com.

Speaker 8 (32:11):
Now more than ever, it is important to have a

Speaker 7 (33:12):
So your sorry.

Speaker 6 (33:19):
You dad.

Speaker 7 (33:19):
I'm a bus service number simon, the one never sing.

Speaker 3 (33:38):
Welcome back to Health Talk America Presents the Doctor Bob
Martin Show. I'm doctor Adam Brockman, and thank you for
joining us today. We're gonna go ahead and dive straight
into our health outrage of the week. Jeez, you don't.

Speaker 7 (33:55):
Come each time for the health abridge. It's not the blood.

Speaker 3 (34:02):
Today we have to talk about something that makes my
blood boil. It's a story that sounds like it was
ripped straight out of a movie. But I promise you
this is the reality of the modern medical industrial complex.
If we're not careful. I want you to imagine something
for a second. It's imagine you're eighty four years young.
You've lived a full life, You've got family, you've got stories,

(34:25):
and you've got a lot of miles left on that odometer.
But one morning you wake up with the kind of
lightning bolt. Back pain, the kind that makes you find
it hard to catch your breath. You do what many do,
and that's you head to the emergency room, looking for help,
looking for a cause, looking for a way to get
back on your feet. But instead of a warm blanket

(34:48):
in a diagnostic plan, the first thing the experts offer
you is a way to end your life. This isn't
a campfire ghost story, folks. This happened to a lady
name Merriam. She walked into an er in British Columbia,
Canada that's suffering from agonizing back pain. And now, as
someone who specializes in sports medicine, I see severe back

(35:11):
pain every single day. I know how scary it can be.
You feel broken, you feel like you may not walk
right again. But what happened next is the ultimate health outrage.
Before a doctor even sat down to discuss a physical
therapy plan, an anti inflammatory protocol, or even a simple
X ray, Mariam was approached by MADE and that stands

(35:35):
for medical assistance in dying. I want you to think
about that. Let us sink in for a second. Before
the healing started, they offered her an exit plan, and
what this we're talking about? Death? As a first line
of treatment for musculo skeletal issues. This is a woman
who wasn't terminal, She wasn't at the end of her rope.

(35:57):
She was just in pain, and the system looked at
her age, looked at her symptoms, and basically asked, do
you want to check out now and save us the trouble.
This is the dark side of socialized medicine in that
death first approach that is creeping into global healthcare. When
the system becomes about efficiency and cost cutting rather than

(36:20):
individual wellness and holistic care. Humans become more like line
items on a spreadsheet. And if you're expensive patient, maybe
you're older, maybe your recovery will take a few more
months of rehab. The system starts looking for the cheapest solution,
and let's be honest, there's nothing cheaper for government run

(36:42):
healthcare than a patient who isn't there. This is a
direct assault on medical ethics. The hippocratic oath says first,
do no harm. Offering a lethal injection to a woman
with a back eight isn't just harm. It's total abandonment
of a physician's duty. And we're seeing this shift where

(37:04):
the goal is no longer to find the root cause
of suffering, but to simply eliminate the sufferer. Now Here
is the part that will make you stand up and cheer. Mariam.
She didn't take the bait, She didn't listen to the
death program peddlers. She stuck to her guns. She got
the actual medical care that she deserved, and she did

(37:24):
the work. So we fast forward just a short while
after this outrageous er visit. Did she end up in
a hospice bed?

Speaker 5 (37:33):
No.

Speaker 3 (37:34):
Mariam recently returned from a trip to Guatemala where she
climbed a volcano. Hear that again, an eighty four year
old woman who took the medical system essentially tried to
write her off, was scaling volcanic peaks in Central America.
That is the power of the human spirit. That is
the power of choosing life over convenience. It proves that

(37:57):
pain is not a permanent state, in that a is
not a reason to stop living. If she had listen
to those er professionals, that volcano would still be there,
but Miriam would not. So the story is a wake
up call for every single person that's listening right now.
We have to be our own health advocates and be

(38:18):
our own best doctor. And when you walk in a
clinic or a hospital, you have to realize that there
is a massive divide between conventional medical overreach in true
patient centered care. So in my practice, we look at
the body as a whole. If your back hurts, we
look at your alignment, your gait, your nutrition, in your

(38:41):
inflammation levels. We don't just mask the symptoms. We look
for a basically the root cause, and we certainly don't
offer a death program. We need to get back to
a place where we value longevity in the wisdom of
our elders. In healthcare, we should be doing everything in

(39:02):
our power to keep people like Merriam alive and active
in mobile in climbing volcanoes. Instead, we're seeing a payday
loan mentality in medicine. Take the quick, the easy, and
often destructive route now and worry about the consequences later.
This is about the value of life. It's the fact

(39:25):
that your eighties, your nineties, and even into your one
hundred year of life can be the most rewarding years
if you have the physical health to enjoy them. We
should be investing in better physical therapy, better chiropractic care,
and better nutrition, not more efficient ways to end life. So, folks,
Mariam is a hero. She looked at the death first

(39:47):
system in the eye and said not today. I've got
a mountain to climb. So let her story be a
reminder that you are worth the affter, your health is
worth the fight. Doctor Adam Brockman, stay empowered, stay educated,
and for heavy and sake, say tuned to Health Talk
America presents the Doctor Bob Martin Show. We'll be right

Speaker 5 (41:19):
I need America.

Speaker 3 (41:29):
Welcome back. You're listening to Health Talk America presents the
Doctor Bob Martin Show. I'm doctor Adam Brockman. In folks,
It's now time for our health Mystery of the Week,
and this is one that might be sitting right in
your medicine cabinet. I want you to imagine this someone

(41:58):
that has dealt with a a little patch of exima
on her elbow since she was a kid. Her doctor
gave her a steroid cream and it worked until it didn't.
So fast forward ten years and now she's dealing with
an itchy elbow. Her entire body is a shade of
red that you'd only expect on a boiled lobster. Her

(42:20):
skin is literally peeling off in sheets, and she's describing
something that she calls a bone deep itch. She goes
back to their specialist, and what do they say, Your
exuma is just getting worse. Here take this stronger, more
expensive steroid. But here's the kicker, and this is the

(42:40):
mystery that we're cracking a day. She doesn't have exima anymore.
She has something known as tsw it's topical steroid withdrawal,
also known as red skin syndrome. This is the ultimate
example of band aid medicine gone wrong. We've been conditioned
to think that if you're skin is angry, we should

(43:01):
shut it up with a steroid. But those creams are
like a payday loan for your health. You get a
little relief now, but the interest rate is continue to climb.
When you stop the cream, your blood vessel vessels, they
go into massive inflammatory rebound. It's a systemic crisis, not
a skin crisis. To solve this red skin riddle, we

(43:25):
have to stop looking at the surface and start looking
at gut health and inflammation levels inside. We've seen this
huge improvement sometimes in practice and skin clarity and patients
who ditch the suppression mindset and focus on a holistic
detox in gut repair. So this patient didn't need a
stronger drug, she needed to let her body find its

(43:47):
own balance again. So if you're trapped in that cycle
of cream, clear, flare, repeat, it's time to ask the
hard questions. Is your medicine to cure or is it
the cause?

Speaker 5 (43:59):
All right?

Speaker 3 (44:00):
So that's your health mystery this week, and that, my friends,
brings us to the end of another hour of the
Doctor Bob Martin Show. And we've covered a lot of
ground today in the ways that you can reclaim your
longevity starting right now. So if today's discussion resonate with you,
don't keep it to yourself. The transition from band aid
approaches to root cause medicine is a journey that we

Fear thrives in silence and confusion. Ana Navarro rejects both. Her voice is an antidote to today’s chaos. Her new podcast, Bleep! with Ana Navarro, takes on today’s most pressing issues with the voices most connected to it: decision-makers, political leaders, cultural shapers, and people on the frontlines of the story. The conversations acknowledge the emotions we all feel—despair, sadness, fear— but emerge with knowledge, perspective, and hope. The belief is simple: fearless dialogue can transform fear into courage, and courage into change. When fear dominates the headlines, this show digs deeper. Because information, debate, and conversation don’t just ease fear, they give us power to shape the future.
