Speaker 2 (01:01):

I want to start with a question for you, and
that is how healthy are you really? I don't mean
your latest checkup numbers or the wearable data that's blanking
on your wrist. I mean your energy, your mood, your drive,
(01:23):
the parts of your health that you can't measure with
a device. Because health isn't just the absence of disease.
It's the presence of vitality, and today we're here to
help you reclaim it. So if your mind's a little foggy,
your energy crashes mid afternoon, or you're running on more
caffeine than you are sleep, this hour is for you,
(01:45):

Speaker 3 (02:11):
I'm doing well and happy to be here with you
and your audience, of course, and ready to get started
with helping some sick people get well naturally and well
people stay that way.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
All right, Well, well let's do it, so, folks, we're
going to dive into your calls today so I want
you to keep this number handy, and that is eight
hundred six zero six eight eight two to two. That's
eight hundred six zero six eight eight two to two,
and one more time for good measure in case you're
writing it down, that's eight hundred six zero six eight
(02:42):
eight two to two. And bring your health, health challenges,
your health questions, or if you just want to share
what's working for you, this is your invitation to step
into the conversation. Because here's the deal. Good health doesn't
happen by accident. It happens by action, and the best
time to take action is always now. So, doctor Bob,
(03:05):
we know we live in this era where we can
send people to space, but we can't seem to figure
out how consistently we can sleep through the night. We
seem to order food with our voice or on apps,
yet so many of us don't have the energy to
cook a real meal, and somewhere along the way, a
(03:26):
convenience replace this mindfulness. And today I want to bring
that focus back to real solutions, in simple, practical steps
that make a visible difference in how our listeners feel,
look and live. Because doctor Bob, I know for years
you've asked many powerful questions that cut right to the
(03:48):
heart of the show. For one of them is how's
your health treating you? And that question matters because how
you feel today determines how you live tomorrow. Maybe if
you're listening out, it's your digestion that's not quite right,
your mood's been off, or your immune system is waving
(04:08):
a white flag after too many sleepless nights or fast
food runs. But there's always good news, and that is
that you're in the right place because together we can
tackle everything from that natural immunity to hormone balance, and
from nutrition to emotional resilience. And doctor Bob and I
(04:28):
we try to do it without hype or without agenda,
just giving you powerful, evidence based conversation and also that
common sense healing. Every week we want to explore not
what's wrong with our healthcare system. We will talk about that,
but we also want to talk about what's right with
the human potential. And the truth is your body already
(04:50):
knows how to heal. It just needs the right inputs
like nourishment over neglect, or movement over medication when possible,
and hope over helplessness. That's the philosophy that we try
to live and breathe here on the show. So if
you ever thought I wish I could ask someone who
really gets it, well, today's your day and I want
(05:13):
you to pick up the phone, share what's in your
heart and on your mind, and just speak to us.
We are here to try to help help you. Again,
that number, it's eight hundred and six zero six eight
eight two to two. Your health questions, your stubborn symptoms,
or even success stories, we want to celebrate those, so
bring them on. And of course, if you're driving, or
(05:34):
or running or prefer to browse at your own pace.
Our digital home is always open and that's at doctor
bob dot com. That's doctor bob dot com. Spell not
the word doctor duct r bob dot com. That's your
your twenty four to seven portal for trusted health information,
our show archives and resources that are built to support
your wellness journey. So let me let me tell you
(05:57):
something real. I meet people all the time who think
good health is something that happens to other people, that
the aches, the fatigue, brain fog, and also the stress
are just what life feels like at a certain age.
But that's not true. That's brain conditioning and Nature never
(06:19):
designed you to slug through life. You're built to thrive.
You're built for vitality, clarity and purpose. And today we're
getting back to that blueprint. So here's what's coming up
this hour, and we're going to dig straight into your
calls and emails from real people, real challenges, and hopefully
give you some real solutions. And if you ever listened before,
(06:40):
you know that no topic is off limits. If it's
pain management, to detoxification, sleeped optimization supplements that actually work.
If you think of us as your guide, we want
to speak that truth. We want to challenge the norms
and remind you that you are the most important doctor
in your life. The choices that you make today, at
(07:01):
what you're eating, what you're thinking about, how you move,
they're writing tomorrow's health story. So let's write a better
one together. All right, let's get this conversation rolling. The
lines are open and the doctors are in. This is
a doctor Bob Martin show wherever week we're going to
turn this information in instipiration for you and to confuse
and into clarity. So call now eight hundred and six
or six eight eight to two, or visit doctor Bob dot
(07:23):
com all right, let's let's go ahead. Get started here
with an email question from Kathy Hayes in Pleasantville, New Jersey,
and she asked I tested with the urinary E coli
two months ago. The doctor ordered an antibiotic which slightly
corrected the problem. The neurologist ordered estrogen cream, which I
(07:43):
don't want to administer. I get up to urinate four
to five times a night, and plus that may times daily.
D manos doesn't seem to help. What now, and doctor Bob,
you want to start with this? Well, first of all, yes,
thank you for the question. I would say what dosage
of dmanos is she using? Dmnos is highly effective when
(08:05):
used in the proper way, and usually we recommend like
three grams of demanos on an empty stomach, three times
a day, last dose being right before going to bed.
In addition to the demanos, we also have had great
results using MSM. MSM stands for methyl sulfonomethane. This is
(08:27):
a sulfur containing amino acid which helps the body to
clear the infection. The dmanos stops the adherence of the
E coli. And lastly, this is sort of like a
triad or a trio of supplements that we've had good
success with in this protocol, and that is birch leaf extract.
(08:49):
You can take like twenty to forty drops of that
three times a day under the tongue or with a
little bit of water, and usually that helps a lot.
Speaker 3 (08:57):
Now, we also need to be aware of the fact
that this person must make some dietary changes in order
to keep from sabotaging your health, meaning that if she's
eating sugar, that'll make it worse. If she's eating aiding
or drinking alcohol or caffeine makes it worse. So get
off sugar, caffeine, alcohol, try those. There's also some natural
(09:21):
douching techniques that can be utilized, silver and probiotics. Get
some advice from a nature padic position, somebody that's familiar
with this.
Speaker 2 (09:31):
And doctor Bob's here's the part that most people miss
that chronic the urinary urgency and the nighttime frequency. It
could signal also pelvic floor dysfunction and even a low
bladder capacity. So I think you know, go make an
appointment with a functional medicine physician and maybe the gynecologist again.
(09:53):
Run some deeper tests, not just another culture, but also
something that's called a pc are urine tests and that
that detects hidden infections or yeast like a biofilm. That's
really tough to break up those infections that standard lab
tests they often miss. And and again a good suggestion
(10:13):
on the d manos uh, doctor Bob. And you know
many many of these chronic bladder issues, they're multi layered
and they require that restoring that balance and not just
killing those those bugs. So with these strategies, doctor Bob
lined out, Uh, even adding in some probiotics doctor Heroes probiotics, uh,
the hydration, Uh, all these things can help reclaim that
(10:37):
bladder comfort often uh you know, and and also to
to decrease that reoccurrence of those those uti infections. Kathy,
thank you for bringing up this issue and bringing uh.
This affects millions of people, but it rarely gets discussed
in in in depth. So so folks will be right
back with your questions. You're listening to the Doctor Bob
Martin Show. If you are retired to chronic pain, stiff

your health. We're trying to answer as many as we
can today. You can give us a call at our
toll free hotline, which is eight hundred six zero six
eight eight two to two. Give us eight hundred six
zero six eight eight two to two. All right, let's
get back into your questions. Next step, we have a
(12:42):
question from Gwenn.
Speaker 5 (12:49):
I still go up on ladders sometimes forty foot, so
I'm reasonably good health. But my muscletone is superiorat is
a lot, so I'm wise, I'm still strong, but the
muscle tone ducopenia is an issue. What have you got?
Speaker 6 (13:13):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Okay, doctor Bob, do you want to start this one here?
Speaker 3 (13:18):
I would question if if the he sounds like it's
he's noticing that when he goes up ladders, is that
when I'm hearing correctly, that he's noticing that he's weak
and perhaps he's afraid of falling or having an injury
associated with muscle weakness going up like a stairway or
a ladder. If that's the case, maybe it's time that
(13:42):
idiots to get over to the gym and do some
exercises that are they're going to balance off his leg
function and if he is suffering from scyclopedia or loss
of muscle age related, there could be some hormonal involvement there,
might want to have a salary hormone test done to
(14:03):
measure his testosterone. We also find that supplementing a person
past age fifty with extra amounts of protein using creatin
vitamin D are especially important in his regimen, whether it
(14:24):
be before or after let's say going to the gym
or doing some form of exercise that could be as
simple as doing lunges or deep knee bends. So that's
where I would start. And if there isn't an issue there,
then maybe there's something functionally wrong with his lower back
area where the nerve supply feeds into his legs that
(14:46):
should be checked out, or his hip area, and the
chiropractic physician is the doctor of choice in that case.
Speaker 2 (14:54):
Yeah, in doctor Bob, I think you made a lot
of great points there. In Glenn, I want torize this again.
You know, first remember that the muscles, they're they're loyal
and they respond to to whatever you ask of them.
So so even in your your seventies, you can absolutely
regin regain that tone and function. You just have to
(15:16):
start to speak the muscles language, so to speak. So
so again doctor Bob mentioned resistance training and and I
want to take that a little bit of a step
further and mentioned progressive resistance training, and it doesn't necessarily
mean body building. It means controlled strength work two to
three times a week using using your own body weight
(15:37):
or resistance bands or light free free weights, and focus
on what are called compound moves like squats or or
push ups, so you can even use a wall to
do these push ups and resisted rows. These are are
just they target multiple muscle groups to fire together, which
(15:57):
is exactly if you're wanting to continue to climb ladders,
that's what the muscles demand. And and doctor Bob mentioned protein,
and most older adults don't get enough. So again, you
want to aim for roughly point eight to one gram
per pound of body weight, and you want it to
(16:18):
use it in quality sources like wild fish or eggs
or grass fed meats or beans, lentils, or if you
need it through a protein powder, make sure it's a clean,
uh plant based protein powder. And then in that doctor
Bob also mentioned creatine. And the research continues to show
(16:38):
that a boost strength and lean mass safely and the
daily dose is somewhere about three to five grams daily.
And then and then doctor Bob also mentioned vitamin D
which is which is great vitamin D and also magnesium
support muscle metabolism. And then I'm gonna throw in B
complex vitamins that helps as well, all to give those
(17:00):
muscles energy. Uh Omega three's to de decrease inflammation throughout
the body. And if you want to dig even deeper
into this, ask your practitioner for for labs on h
on free testosterone and I g F one and these
these start to decline with age, and it dictates also
(17:20):
how well your muscles respond to movement and exercise. So
so finally again that that don't underestimate the the purpose
driven movement that climbing that ladder. It's not just just
work for you. It's also a functional exercise, so it
might give you a good good insight to where your
muscle stands. So if you keep moving and keep lifting
(17:43):
and also keep stretching and and so if you're willing
to do that, I think your body will catch up.
So okay, well, thanks for your question, Glenn, and uh
and keep moving. That's makes you the poster child for
active active aging. All right, So doctor Bob let's thank
it to an email question here and that comes from
(18:06):
Randy in Iowa. And Randy tells us that through a
series of imaging tests he's talking about mri CT scans,
doctors have discovered that he has some differences in his arteries.
He's got some dissections in the iliac and renal arteries.
He's sixty seven, he's leaning at one hundred and forty pounds,
(18:29):
and he's got healthy blood pressure, in good cholesterol. And
he also important is he doesn't have any symptoms right now,
but he's expecting to see a vascular specialist soon and
he wonders should he go the medication route and he
mentioned Statin's baby aspirin or should he try to focus
on nutritions in supplements first. So he's won some help there.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
What it sounds like he's doing a preventive approach here
to start with being proact about it before the symptoms come.
And I think that's important to point out to our
listeners that symptoms are the very last thing to show
up in any condition, and when you start to turn
that around, they're usually the first to leave. So you
don't want to wait till you're symptomatic. I mean, if
(19:17):
that were the case, we'd wait and till our teeth
we had toothaches before we start brushing our teeth and
flossing and doing all the dental hygiene we need to do.
Everybody knows how problematic that could be, because nobody wants
to be in the dental chair having invasive procedures going on.
So I think it's a good idea. But the good
news for him is that one he's aware of the
(19:40):
problem too, he's willing to do something about it. Not
to worry, however, because whatever is going on with him
has been there probably for decades. These kinds of things
usually start in our teen years or younger for a
variety of reasons lifestyle, diet, genetics, exposure to environmental toxins,
(20:01):
et cetera. So he's got time to turn it around,
but he needs to get the right advice. I mean,
taking statins for this I think would be a monumental
error unless he wants diabetes in Alzheimer's disease, because that
the drugs statins increase the risk of those problems and
a whole bunch of other things. So you know, I'm
(20:23):
glad he's questioning that. But on the other hand, there
are things in a lifestyle that he can do, get measured,
find out what's out of balance. Usually these begin with
mineral deficiencies and with Sometimes with these sort of things,
we see copper imbalances, we see plaquing that's building in
(20:46):
the areas of stress because of the fact that there's
an inflammatory process going on there that takes years, sometimes
decades to present itself. So I think finding a functionally
trained doctor and integratively trained doctor he had a nature
pathic physician, hiropractic physician d O m D is a
(21:08):
good idea, and then get tested, do the measurements through blood, hair, saliva,
and then move forward with a program.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
Yeah, and I agree with that, doctor Bob, and I'll
throw in a couple more things. I think it's very
important to see a doctor on this to help guide
guide you with this. But thanks to ask for magnesium
and coenzyme Q ten. Those are both both important important
parts of cardiovascular function. All right, So we need to
take a break, doctor Bob, and and folks stick around.
(21:39):
We're answering your questions. You're listening to the doctor Bob
Martin showing.
Speaker 4 (22:00):

every step of the way. All right, Doctor Bob, Let's
(23:08):
get back into a question. Uh A color question from
Susan in Phoenix.
Speaker 6 (23:17):
My name is Susan from Phoenix, Arizona, and I would
like to know if mouthwashes like say this stream, or
any mouthwash effects the intestinal flora in the gut and
the colon and throughout. If it kills bactorius, A mouthwash
kills bactorius if it also killed in testinal flora. Okay,
(23:42):
thank you.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
Goodbye, Okay, all right, doctor Bob, you want to start
this one?
Speaker 3 (23:50):
Yes, thank you for your call. I think way too
many people use way too many of these over the
counter commercial mouthwashes or mouth rinses. You Listerine is probably
the one that everybody thinks of when they think of
this category. It's been out there for a long long time.
And I wouldn't use that. I wouldn't use that no
(24:12):
matter what. And there's plenty of alternatives. And the reason
that you don't use these types of harsh mouthwashes as
they contain lots of alcohol, and when you put alcohol
in your mouth, it immediately disrupts the flora and the
probiotics that are actually in your oral cavity. You have
(24:33):
a microbiome within your oral cavity that needs to be
in constant, steady equilibrium, so alcohol wipes it out, and
when you're doing mouthwash or mouthrins is, you can't help
but swallow some of that alcohol. It's penetrating right through
your lingual area, right into your capitil areas, into your
(24:55):
karate glands, and it's going into your blood. So no
on the mouthwashes. And if it isn't bad enough to have,
you know, somewhere upwards of fifteen to twenty percent alcohol content,
which is like drinking I don't know, whiskey light. The
other problem is is of course artificial flavoring agents. Artificial
(25:17):
coloring agents just not good and so we don't recommend it.
And it also knocks out nitric oxide out. Nitric oxide
is a gas that the body makes that opens up
your blood vessels. So these mouthwashes are pro heart disease,
they're pro closure of your heart vessels.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
Not good.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
There is a viable alternative that people should use. It's
called Spry Dental Defense. It's part of the Spry Spry
Dental Defense system, which uses xylotol and other natural ingredients
Spry mouthwash or Spry Mouth rints. It's what I use,
(25:57):
it's what my family uses, it's what we reckon men
on this show and have recommended it for twenty years.
And you can get Spry products, whether it be their toothpaste,
mouth rints or any of the other products they have
over at Clear, which is their website. Clear spelled with
an x X is rizylotol x L E A R.
(26:19):
You can get it there and get it in finer
health food stores as well, including natural grosers.
Speaker 2 (26:27):
Yeah, and doctor Bob, I think this is a great
question because on the show recently we've been really been
talking about the oral health and how important it is
to many of the body functions, and including the cardiovascular function.
So we start thinking about this connection between what happens
in one part of the body then the rest of
the body. So with Susan's question, ask whether that mouth wash,
(26:50):
like listerine or other any bacterial rins is that good
bacteria way, It's not just in your mouth, but let's
look at it further down in your digestive system. First,
those strong alcohol based mouthwashes, they're designed to kill bacteria.
The problem is is they don't discriminate between the good
(27:11):
ones and the bad ones. It's a bit like using
a flamethrower to kill your weeds. A few weeds, sure,
a few of them you'll knock out, but you also
knock out your lawn. So your mouth actually contains one
of the most complex microbiomes in your body. There's more
than seven hundred species of bacteria that help you digest food,
(27:34):
that regulates your immune system, and even communicate with your
gut through something known as the oral gut axis. So
when you use an antibacterial rents daily, you're wiping out
many of these beneficial microbiome that's in your gut in
your mouth. Now, how does that affect your gut flora, Well,
(27:55):
it does indirectly, and here's how it does it. When
you when the balance in your mouth, it shifts towards
bad bacteria, your digestive processes start off on the wrong
foot already you swallow what lives in your mouth, so
your gut does feel that impact. In the research from
(28:16):
just here recently, it actually showed that overuse of strong
mouthwashes cannot only disturb your oral flora, but also influence
what doctor Bob mentioned with the nitric oxide production, and
that's the stuff that helps your blood vessel stay flexible.
So if you have fewer nitric oxide producing bacteria, that
(28:36):
means that higher blood pressure is going to be more
of a risk to you. So, Susan, now I'm not
saying to not rinse your mouth, because what doctor Bob
said is basically choose smarter. The key is to use
that non alcoholic, the xylotol based herbal mouthwash, one that
supports the natural ecology instead of sterilizing it. So if
(29:00):
you look for products with the ingredients like xylotol and
peppermint and alo, these help tone down that harmful bacteria
without erasing the protective ones. And since we're talking about
the oral care, what doctor Bob mentioned the one that
we use as a spry dental defense system. So Sprite
(29:23):
uses the xylotol, which again literally starves bad bacteria without
affecting the beneficial flora. And so doctor Bob said he
he uses it as family uses it. I use it.
My family uses it, and they have toothpaste, mouthwash, mints
in gum and and so after using this, I'd like
(29:45):
to consider my dental checkups that have become a lot
less eventful, if you know what I mean. So here's
here's where this conversation starts to widen out. Your oral
microbiome and your gut microbiome are part of the same team,
and if you're trying to keep that in sync, support
it from both ends, so outside of the spread down
(30:07):
defense system, I always also encourage you to eat probiotic
rich foods like like sour kraut or keefer. They also
stay hydrated, avoid excess sugars and even the artificial sweeteners
they breed the wrong kind of mouthbugs, and then also
take a broad spectrum probiotic like doctor Oheres So. So
(30:32):
to sum it up, yes, over using antibacterial mouthwash can
potentially affect your whole your whole body's microbiome system, the
ecosystem there. But with the right products and the habits,
you can protect your mouth and your gut. So all right,
so we're coming up on a break. Doctor Bob will
come back right back and answer some more questions. You're
(30:53):
listening to the Doctor Bob Martin Show.
Speaker 9 (30:59):
Have you or hurt someone say that probiotics didn't work
for them? Since all probiotics are not the same, the
probiotic you choose can make the difference between superior results

All right, doctor Bob, let's get back into a conversation
on on some color questions, and this one's an email question.
It comes from Mary and Mesa Arizona who writes about
willow Bark for chronic back pain. And that question is
(35:20):
sparked by us talking about backpain on some of the
recent shows, and Mary lists several prescription medications. So I
want to go through this, and I love that Mary's
exploring these natural pain options, but in this case with
willow Bark, I want to to just take a step
back until we review it directly with with also not
(35:45):
only what we're going to talk about today, but you're
prescribing provider and in pharmacy. And here's why willow willow bark.
It has active compounds that are a natural cousin to aspirin,
and when your body metabolizes is that it's it's ends
up being in the same chemical family that thins the
blood and helps to reduce pain. And that's also probably
(36:10):
why you're taking the aspirint and you're also taking plavix
and that's what that's doing right now. So adding willow
Bark on top of that can it can possibly amplify
the blood thinning effect. And so so we want to
take a look at that and and promote, you know,
get in front of any risk of internal bleeding, especially
since you're also taking a prescription to protect your stomach
(36:35):
lining from from stomach acid irritation. So if we if
look at this, it's a little bit more Mary. You're
also taking taking cardiac medications, uh, and these are to
help stabilize the blood flow in your blood pressure. So
natural anti inflammatorytory herbs like willow bark it can there's
(36:56):
possibility that it might interact with with these, so we
want to make a look at that and also with
with kidney filtration. And because I think you mentioned that
you're taking a loop diuretic there. So in short, UH,
let's say, definitely this needs to be something that you're
looking at with your healthcare team, whether that's a functional
medicine and also the prescribing uh in the pharmacist if
(37:19):
you've got questions there. So it doesn't doesn't mean that
you're out of natural options for your back pain. So
I'm gonna give you a few ones that you can, uh,
you can take. It shouldn't be a big issue adding
into your routine. Now. One of them is a topical
solution that we talked about in the show called nuva cell.
It's a stem cell product and it helps to to
(37:41):
rebuild and rejuvenate those muscular tissues. That can help in
turn to relax the muscles and dull the pain locally
without interacting with your with your medication. Again, that's nouvassal. Uh.
You can also use percumin and that's a a anti inflammatory,
but not in the sense of a blood theater. So still,
(38:04):
I want you to consider this a conversation with your doctor.
Speaker 8 (38:07):
UH.
Speaker 2 (38:08):
And high doses it may you want to want to
make sure that you're you're taking the right dose for you.
Some other natural anti inflammatories, I want you to up
your omega threes. You can either take it through supplements
or you can use it in your diet. And uh,
I also want you to consider gentle movement like daily stretching,
(38:29):
light swimming, or even even some some therapy, whether that's
through a chiropractor or physical therapist that can help relieve
those muscular tension that that pills alone aren't going to fix.
So if you think of it as movement is medicine.
And so uh, doctor Bob, I want you to chime in.
We just got a couple of minutes before break.
Speaker 3 (38:47):
All right, very good, Well thanks for the call. Mary. Yes,
I would suggest in second doctor Adam's recommendation, uh, and
that is we need to get to the cause of
the problem. It's not a deficiency of drugs here in
terms of the anti inflammatory. Maybe there's something structurally that
somebody has not considered or has not checked up. We
(39:08):
know that according to a seven year study, people who
saw chiropractic physicians had eighty five percent less pharmaceutical costs,
and they got better, They didn't get the they didn't
see the same hospital events going on in their life,
and they had less surgeries, I mean across the board.
(39:30):
So my suggestions you find somebody in Mesa and if
you want to send a referral request, I can probably
find somebody there that can take care of you in Mesa.
Since I used to practice in Phoenix for over a decade,
I still know a lot of the doctors in that area.
But I think if we can get to the cause
(39:51):
of the problem, which sounds like it has it still
exists in your back, maybe you can cut down the
load of drugs in general, especially because you're now stacking
drugs uggs flabix Asbourn willow Bart. They all pretty much
affect the same pathway, and you're going to get into
an excess bleeding issue or a digestive problem with ulcers
(40:11):
and other things that these things do create. So that
would be my suggestion. Get to somebody that you know
and trust, or get a referral from somebody who can
try to manage the reason for the pain. Get to that,
and then you can work with these other anti inflammatories
that are natural if possible.
Speaker 2 (40:29):
Yeah, I agree, doctor Bob. So the takeaway, Mary and
everyone listening, sometimes what you want to do before you
before you go ahead and pick up a supplement or herb,
check for some overlap because sometimes mother nature in medicine
they speak the same language, so you don't want them
both shouting at once. Good question, Mary, Thank you, all right,
(40:53):
doctor Bob. Let's take a break and come back. You're
listening to that Doctor Bob Martin show.

Speaker 2 (43:09):
Welcome back, and just like that, that's another hour of
The Doctor Bob Martin Show. But it's been a great hour,
Doctor Bob. We've heard real stories, real science, and real
solutions that hopefully our listeners can start using today. We
began today by asking a simple but a powerful question,
(43:29):
and how's your health treating you? I think it's more
in a slogan. It's a call for reflection, because health
isn't something that just happens to us. It's something that
we create with every choice, every day and every minute
of those days. That's what this program is all about.
And I don't It's not just a show. It's a
(43:50):
movement built on an idea that your body is intelligent,
it's resilient, and it's capable of healing if you just
give it the chance that it needs. You don't have
to have a miracle. You just need that momentum. And
that momentum it starts right here every week on the
Doctor Bob Martin Show. So thanks again to our listeners
who ask the questions, and also for Doctor Bob for
(44:13):
dropping by and helping answer those today. Doctor Bob any
final thoughts, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (44:17):
I just think that we should marvel in the amazing
bodies that we have in that when we have symptoms
we look at them as a problem, they're really a
blessing in disguise. I know it's hard to believe that
when you're in pain or you having some severe problem
that needs to be quelled so you can rest and
sleep and recover. However, symptoms are kind of like the
(44:39):
idiot lights on the dash of your car, and if
you destroy those lights, your engine will blow up because
you won't know that you're low in oil or low
in water, or you run out of gas. So we've
been taught to treat symptoms as the enemy. They're not
the enemy. They're a blessing in disguise when you can
recognize what they are and then remove whatever's in it
(45:00):
fearing with the body's ability to heal itself. Therefore, all
these remedies that are out there in nature are waiting
for people to discover. You shouldn't just shut them down.
You should listen to what they're saying and try to
find out what's causing them, remove the cause, and then
use anything that's natural in a benign, self limiting condition,
so that you don't add to the problem by giving
(45:21):
you pharmaceutical drug to which the average one has seventy
adverse eye effects and you're dealing with the side effects.
Speaker 2 (45:28):
Yeah, words of wisdom, doctor Bob. You know, folks were
here to stir you to wake up that part inside
that knows you were built for something greater than fatigue
and frustration. I think you were built for vitality and focus. Laughter,
in human connection and health, it's not a destination. It's
(45:49):
a vehicle that takes you wherever life wants you to go.
So as you move into your week, take one step,
whether it's one better breakfast or one deeper breath, one
new commitment to walk or rest or even unplug. Those
are micro moments or movements that compound into major wins.
(46:10):
And I'll say it again because we believe it as
truth around here. Your health is your greatest wealth. You
need to guard it, you need to nourish it and
grow it with purpose. And until next time, I'm doctor
Adam Brockman, thanking you for tuning in and reminding you
to be kind to yourself, be curious about your body,
and to never stop learning what's possible. There's a doctor
(46:34):
inside you, and you can be your own best doctor
most of the time, and your best health is always
within reach. This is Doctor Bob Martin Show, because feeling
good is just the beginning.
