Since the 1960's women have been entering the workforce and contributing to the economy in record numbers and making progress toward equality and breaking that glass ceiling. In the past 20 years the move toward equality and women expressing their voice and sharing their abilities, competence and leadership has reached a crescendo. One of the areas where women have been making a strong impact is entrprenuership. While all entrepreneurship is at a 40 year low, the rise of women owned businesses has grown at 1.5 times the rate of new ventures overall and nearly 40% of all small businesses are now woman-owned, Today we will talk about this trend and it's impact on our economy, culture and our well-being in a holistic sense.
