Speaker 1 (00:05):
Firefall Talk Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Hello. Welcome to The Porch on Firefall Talk Radio. I'm
Richard Grund. This is where you find the uncompromised, red-letter
basics of the Word of God. We focus on the
Book of Acts church, the purest, most effective form of
the church, to see how they serve the Lord. When
we do that, we find the church the Lord intended,

(00:42):
not the one man created. The porch is a non-denominational,
full gospel approach to the Bible, based on the examples
of the Book of Acts church, which aims to restore
the priesthood of the believer and regain the world-shaking influence
that the early church had. The church age isn't over.

(01:04):
The fire of the upper room experiences as much for
today as it was on the day of Pentecost. It's
yours if you want it. We will offer you the
word as the apostles would have to the Jewish and
Gentile believers of their day. We use both Yeshua and
Jesus when speaking of the Lord. We prefer using the
term Messiah rather than Christ as it more accurately reflects

(01:27):
how he was referred to by those who knew him.
And when needed, we will offer definitions in Hebrew, Greek,
and Aramaic. Getting back to basics. It's not just a motto,
it's a mandate from the Lord. Links to all of

and your prayers. Thank you for being a part of
the porch. Contact us if you need prayer. We want
to pray for you if you need it. Just let
us know. We'll get the word out. Let's get into
the word. Before we do that, I praise the Lord.
I praise him for my salvation, my home, my family,
my pets, my possessions, everything I have. I praise him

(02:37):
for waking me up this morning, my eyes open, my
heart beats. I thank him for loving me and redeeming
me and giving me back everything that I tried to
give away and the enemy tried to steal. I'm thankful
for his provision and his protection. for the dreams and
the visions, for divine health and healing. Yes, we live

(03:00):
in a fallen world, and sometimes things happen, but guess what?
He is always available to heal us. I praise him
for his divine abiding favor, for the continued revelation of
the Holy Spirit, and for all of us, especially me,
being a new creation. and allowing me to live in

(03:22):
these prophetic times, and allowing me to serve him in
the family business. Let's pray. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
May they prosper who love you. Peace be within your walls.
Prosperity within your palaces. For the sake of my brethren
and companions, I will now say, peace be within you.
Psalm 122, verses 6 through 8. I start there because

(03:47):
the word tells me to. And because my Jewish brothers
and sisters are important to him, they're important to me.
So I thank him for them. I thank him for
protecting them. I thank him for America, for being born here,
being raised here, and for him being a part of
my life as I live here. Yes, I'd like it

(04:09):
to be better, and I'm praying that it will be,
but I know that there will be no peace and
prosperity until the Prince of Peace comes. So I stand
fast in the faith and the power of his name.
Let's pray for the fatherless and the widows, the persecuted
and the martyred, the innocents and those who are victims
of injustice. Remember, he's a God of love, grace, and mercy,

(04:31):
but he's a God of justice. Pray for divine wholeness, health,
and healing in me, as you can tell from the
sound of my nasally voice. Something going around, but fighting, standing, believing.
Pray for my wife who also has it. Pray for
anybody else who has it. For our family, protection, healing, deliverance,

(04:55):
salvation in the name of the Lord. Let's get back
to our divine design. Let's serve him the way he
needs to be served. So I pray right now for
each and every one of you, for myself included, if
you are sick, ill, injured, sick, Whatever's going on that
is not in accordance with his divine design in the

(05:17):
name of Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus the Messiah, King of kings,
Lord of lords, be healed. By his stripes, you were healed.
You are saved. You are delivered. This world has no
authority over you. I pray for protection, for inspiration, for
the remnant to wake up. Let's answer that call to action.

(05:40):
Let's pray like this. Let's stand fast in the faith.
Let's do what he's called us to do. If we've
been blessed, let's be a blessing to one another. Let's
stand against the schemes of the fallen, confronting the enemies,
setting the captives free, and keeping our eyes on the
sky because the day of the Lord is at hand.

(06:03):
So we need that Psalm 91 protection. We need edification, encouragement,
the fire of the Holy Spirit. And we need the blessings,
the kingdom finances for kingdom business because there are people
out there that need our help. So Father, Abba, Papa,
thank you. Thank you for loving us. Thank you for

(06:25):
saving us. Thank you for wrapping your arms around us.
And thank you for sending Yeshua. Lord, we love you.
What you did on the cross, we never could have done.
You shed every drop of blood. You wiped out our debt,
and you allowed us to come home. But I am

(06:46):
thankful you're not just a dead prophet. You are a
risen Savior. The tomb is empty. You are alive, sitting
at the right hand of the Father in fullness and power,
and allowing us to sit with you in the heavenly places.
Thank you for sending back the Holy Spirit. So, Holy Spirit,
we need you right now. We need you to help us,

(07:06):
to teach us, to inspire us, Open up our minds.
Heal our bodies. We just need a touch from you
right now. Protect this technology. Let this word go forth.
And do what you need it to do. And I
pray all these things in Yeshua's name. Amen.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
You know, let me say something. It just came to
me while I was listening. We live in a fallen world.
We live in bodies that are aging. That is still
until he gives us our glorified bodies, until he comes
back and changes things. That is a part of the equation.
So we're going to get hurt. We're going to get sick.
We're going to have times where we're not at our best,

(08:28):
but we move forward in faith. We do it in belief.
We have the word. We have the ability to pray
and to praise and to understand that this is just
the way it is. But never give up. Never lose hope.
Never get down. Keep going. What's in a name? That's

(08:51):
what we've been talking about, a name. A name represents
more than a word. It identifies a person's character, their reputation,
their authority, their work, possibly relationships with others. A good
name is more valuable than anything this world can offer

(09:13):
you because it reflects your conduct, your wisdom, your courage,
your integrity. Proverbs 22, verse 1. A good name is
to be chosen rather than great riches, loving favor rather
than silver and gold. A good name earned by honorable behavior,

(09:33):
godly wisdom, moral courage, And personal integrity is more desirable
than great riches. Oh, yes, it helps to have those
things to pay your bills and to get what you need.
But the fact is, there's a lot of people who
have that who don't have a good name. They don't
have good character. They don't have integrity or morality. The

(09:55):
International Bible Encyclopedia tells us a.

Speaker 1 (09:59):
Name.

Speaker 2 (10:00):
Is that by which a person, place, or thing is
marked and known. In Scripture, names were generally descriptive of
the person, of their position, of some circumstance, of a
hope entertained, so that the name often came to stand
for the person. Beside designating people, the name also stands

(10:24):
for fame or renown or reputation, character gained or expressed.
But the thing we're concerned about is the name of God,
and that's not a mere word. It's a divine manifestation.
It's his character revealed in his relations to his people
and his dealings with them. We see that in Exodus

(10:45):
9-16 when God is speaking to Moses. He said, for
this purpose I have raised you up that I may
show my power in you and that my name may
be declared in all the earth. That's what our actions
are for, to get his name declared, not ours. That's
why I have no respect for anybody that preaches the

(11:07):
word of God, that puts their name above the title
or their name on the ministry or they're building their
own brand. It's his name that we are to promote.
In the Hebrew, it's Shem. In the New Testament, it's Anima,
which is the character or the work of like, look
what they said, call his name Yeshua, which means he

(11:30):
shall save. Yeshua means salvation from which we get Jesus.
Or John or Simon becoming Peter or any of the disciples.
When Saul became Paul, it was all a transition from
who they were to who they are now in him

(11:51):
But the only name that matters is the name of
the Lord. Philippians 2, starting verse 7. But he made
himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant
and coming in the likeness of men. And being found
in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became

(12:12):
obedient to the point of death, even death, the death
of the cross. Therefore, This is the transition. We could
quote it directly from verse 9, but the fact is
7 and 8 set up the therefore. Therefore God also
has highly exalted him, given him the name which is

(12:36):
above every name, that at the name of Yeshua, the
name of Jesus, every knee should bow, of those in
heaven and of those on earth and of those under
the earth, And that every tongue should confess that Jesus,
the Messiah, is Lord to the glory of God the Father.

(12:58):
So when we pray in his name, we are invoking
his power and authority to accomplish what lines up with
his will. We see that in Acts chapter 3, verse 6.
Peter and John are going to the temple and they
see the lame man at the gate, beautiful. And the
man asks for alms. He asks for money. And Peter said,

(13:20):
silver and gold I do not have, but what I
do have I give you. In the name of Jesus,
the Messiah of Nazareth, rise up and walk. I don't
have the money you seek, but what I do have
I give to you freely. In the name, in the authority,
in the power of Jesus, the Messiah, the Nazarene, walk

(13:45):
and go on walking. The beggar was seeking a worldly answer.
Peter offered him his best, the heavenly one. We see
later on in verse 16 of Acts 3, Peter explains
to the crowd what they're seeing because they've seen this
man his entire life laying there crippled, legs withered, unable

(14:09):
to walk or do anything on his own. And now
he's leaping, he's dancing. He says, on the basis of
faith in his name, in the name of Yeshua, which
has strengthened this man whom you see and know. And
the faith which comes through him has given him this
perfect health and complete wholeness in your presence. Signs and wonders.

(14:36):
Signs should make people wonder. And Peter had the answer.
He had the answer again in Acts 4 when the
Sanhedrin confronts him. Verse 7, by what power, by what
name have you done this? And Peter, filled with the
Holy Spirit, boy, that part's so important. Peter, filled with

(14:57):
the Holy Spirit, said to them, rulers of the people
and elders of Israel, if we this day are judged
for a good deed done to a helpless man, by
what means he has been made well, let it be
known to you all and to all the people of Israel,
that by the name of Jesus the Messiah of Nazareth,

(15:18):
Yeshua Hamashiach Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised up
from the dead by him, this man stands before you whole.
This is the stone which was rejected by you builders,
which has become the chief cornerstone. Nor is there salvation

(15:42):
in any other name, For there is no other name
under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
I mean, Peter is newly filled with the Holy Spirit.
He's rocking it from the day of Pentecost to this
day in front of the Sanhedrin. Peter's filled with the

(16:06):
power of the Holy Spirit. He lets him have it.
And he makes a declaration. Let it be known and
clearly understood by you and all the people of Israel.
Not just by this. No, everybody needs to know this.
That it was the name of Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus, the Messiah,

(16:29):
Yeshua of Nazareth. Let's be clear who it is. Let's
not just say a name. It's this specific Yeshua. Yeshua.
whom you demanded to be crucified by the Romans, whom
God has raised from the dead, it's in his name,

(16:49):
by his authority, and by his power, this man stands
before you in complete good health. And then he caps
it off. And there's salvation in no one else. For
there is no other name under heaven that has been
given among people by which we must be saved. For

(17:19):
God has provided the world no alternative for salvation. That's
what he did. He stripped himself of all the privileges
and all rightful dignities He took the guise of a

(17:42):
servant and became just like us, became like men and
was born a human being. And after he appeared in
human form, he abased and humbled himself even further and
carried his obedience to the extreme death of the cross. Therefore,

(18:07):
because he did this, because he stooped so low, God
exalted him, highly exalted him, and freely bestowed upon him
the name, the name that is above every name. That

(18:28):
at the name, at the name of Yeshua, at the
name of Jesus, every knee must bow. In heaven, on earth,
under the earth, every tongue frankly and openly confess and
acknowledge that he is Lord to the glory of God
the Father. So when it says God highly exalted him,

(18:53):
it means he super exalted him, which means there's no
one else higher. This is it. This is the pinnacle.
The name above all names, Lord of all. Got to
remember the people knew about the Baals. Baal means Lord. Baal, Berith,
Lord of the Covenant, so on. But he's Lord of all.

(19:17):
He's King of Kings. He's the supreme authority and power.
He's the one of submissive and reverence and authority that
comes from the world, from us, from everybody that is
alive or dead. Whether they're in heaven, whether they're here

(19:38):
on earth, whether they're under the earth living or For dead, blessed,
or condemned, all must give glory to God for the Son.
And by stating this, we realize, we declare that Yeshua
is the mediator between God and humanity. He's the administrator

(20:02):
of God's will on earth. Paul says that in 1
Timothy 2. Starting verse 5, the Amplified. For there is
only one God and only one mediator between God and mankind.
The man, Messiah, Yeshua, Messiah, Jesus. Who gave himself as

(20:23):
a ransom, a substitutionary sacrifice to atone for all. The
testimony given at the right and proper time. There's nobody
else in between you and God. There's no woman. There's
no man. There's no person. There's no icon. There's no religion.
There's no title. I pray directly to the Son, to

(20:49):
the Father. I don't go through someone else. And if
you're taught that, it's a lie. Get away from it.
There's only one mediator. There's no power in heaven, on earth,
or under the earth that can stand against his authority,
so why would I go to anyone else? Every situation

(21:13):
must yield to him. Look what I just said, every situation,
not just every person, not just every entity, every situation
must yield to him because he is Lord of all
over all. Sometimes we have to remind ourselves of that.
during this period of time of fighting, whatever it is

(21:35):
I've got, I didn't embrace it. I didn't moan and
groan about it. I spoke to things not as they were,
but as they should be in accordance with his word.
He's Lord of all. So for believers, calling on the
name of the Lord, calling on the name of Yeshua,
calling on the name of Jesus, whichever one you use,

(21:58):
is not a religious phrase. It expresses your faith In
the one, capital O, who has overcome sin and death
for you. The one who was prophesied. Isaiah. Good book

(22:20):
to read if you've never read it. A lot of
messianic prophecies in there. Some of which are so strong
that the Jews don't even read them. They try to
ignore them. And I pray for them. that their eyes
would be opened. Not all of them. Many of them
embraced him and called him Messiah. Isaiah 45, starting verse 23.

(22:43):
This is God speaking. I have sworn by myself that
the word has gone out of my mouth in righteousness
and shall not return, that to me every knee shall bow,
every tongue shall take an oath or swear allegiance. He
shall say, Surely in the Lord I have righteousness and strength.

(23:08):
To him men shall come, and all shall be ashamed
who are incensed against him. This is what it will
be like at the end when they all stand before
the Lord. It doesn't matter who they are. It doesn't
matter their ranking or their power or their prestige or

(23:29):
their value. None of it matters. They shall bend their knee.
How do I know that? Because God's word is true.
It's always true. It's reinforced. It's a guaranteed certainty. I
have experiential knowledge of this and all the deliverances I've

(23:50):
done and all the demons and fallen angels that I've
stood before. They cannot stand against the name of Jesus.
Some of the more powerful ones resist a little more,
resist a little longer, but you keep going, and they
will go down. And he has declared that everyone, all nations,

(24:18):
will submit to his authority, whether willingly or unwillingly, when
the end comes. 1 Corinthians 15, starting verse 25. For
Messiah must be king and reign until he has put
all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to
be subdued and abolished is death. For he, the Father,

(24:43):
has put all things in subjection under his, Messiah's feet.
And when it says all things are put in subjection
under him, it is evident that he himself is accepted
who does the subjecting of all things. So when we

(25:04):
talk about Philippians 2, 7 through 11, that's what we
were referring to a little while ago. This final submission
is the submission of all the nations to God at
the end. Those in heaven, the angelic realm, even the

(25:25):
rebellious angels who rule over the pagan nations in the heavenlies,
the atmospheric realm. And the ones in the pit, they
will submit. Ooh, that rhymed. The ones in the pit,
they will submit. See, the Greeks that Paul's speaking to,

(25:50):
they worship God, small g's. In the heavens, in the earth,
the sea, in the underworld. Traditional Greek mythology says, place
shadowy existence of the departed souls in the underworld, Hades.
Paul's announcing that it doesn't matter who they are, whatever

(26:11):
category of being they are, they will acknowledge Messiah's rule
because he's been exalted above all of them. And when
one bowed a knee in obedience before a ruler or
deity that is submission, He's been placed there in the

(26:35):
place of highest honor. Remember on the day of Pentecost
when Peter comes out of the upper room and people
are speaking in tongues and their heavenly language and all
this is going on and people are hearing them in
their own language. Oh, they're drunk. No, no, no. Peter,
newly filled, steps right out there. Steps right out there.

(26:58):
Sets them straight. Picking it up in verse 33. Therefore,
being exalted to the right hand of God, and having
received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit,
he poured out this which you now see and hear.
For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he

(27:21):
says himself, and this is Psalm 110, he's quoting verse 1.
The Lord said to my Lord, sit at my right
hand till I make your enemies your footstool. Therefore let
all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has
made this Yeshua whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.

(27:45):
Stephen in Acts 7, when they're stoning him, being full
of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the
glory of God and Yeshua standing at the right hand
of God and said, Look, I see the heavens opened.
and the Son of Man standing at the right hand
of God. These Jews would have known the term the

(28:06):
Son of Man as the Messiah was quoted by Daniel,
traces all the way back to Enoch. They would know it.
That's who the Son of Man is. He's the Messiah. And,
of course, what did they do? They didn't say, oh,
we want to follow this guy. No, we're going to
stone you. We're going to kill you. We're going to

(28:27):
punish you for telling us the truth. There will always
be a demonic response to that statement, to that power,
to that authority. Yeshua, he's been given supreme authority and power,
so why do we live so powerless? Why do we

(28:48):
walk with our heads down and our shoulders rolled forward? Oh,
woe is me. No, I don't care what you're going
through right now. Roll those shoulders back. Pick your head up. Say,
I am a child of God. My name is written

(29:08):
in the Lamb's book of life. And I follow the
King of kings and Lord of lords. I will not
bow down except to him. The Lord himself told us
in Matthew 28, starting verse 18, we call this the
great commission, which really has become the great omission. Pretty clear.

(29:31):
All authority. not some, not just partial, not just local.
All authority has been given to me in heaven and
on earth. Go therefore, and I call that an implied dispensation.

(29:53):
Make disciples using this authority. Make disciples of all the nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of
the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to
observe all things that I have commanded you. And lo,
I am with you always, even to the end of
the age. I'm going to go with you. I've given

(30:14):
you this authority. You could do it alone, but I'm
going with you. I'm the power. I'm the glory. You're
filled with the Holy Spirit. You're connected me. I'm there
with you. So this authority noticeably and demonstratively delegated to
him by the Father. Why did he do that? Because

(30:36):
from day one when Satan rebelled and then the watchers
rebelled and they created this mess, it was about rebellion.
It was about authority. They would not submit. So one
greater than them, the one that spoke them into existence,
is above them. And then he's taking that authority and

(30:56):
giving it to you and me. And it's amazing to
me how the regular everyday people started to pick up
on this and the religious leaders couldn't. In Matthew 7,
during the Sermon on the Mount, when he gets done,
verse 28, and so it was when Yeshua ended these

(31:18):
sayings and the people were astonished at his teachings. For
he taught them as one having authority and not as
the scribes. Scribes were repeating what they were told. He
was speaking it as if he wrote it, and we
know that he did. That's who you serve. That's who

(31:45):
you believe in. I say Paul speaking, Luke writing in Hebrews.
Hebrews 12, verse 2, looking unto Yeshua, the author and
finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was
set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and

(32:07):
has sat down at the right hand of the throne
of God. So we have him sitting down at the
right hand of the throne of God. We have him
standing there. At the right hand of the throne of God. Why?
Right is authority. Right is favor. Right is positional authority.

(32:29):
If you're sitting at his right hand, you're in authority.
He's delegated to you by your seat, by your position.
His authority. Positional authority is the power granted to someone
because of their role, their rank, or their title. Not
because of who they are as a person. It's assigned

(32:52):
top down as an appointment or an election. Romans 8,
starting verse 16, the Spirit himself bears witness with our
spirit that we are children of God. Well, there's our role.
We're children of God. That's our election. That's who we are.
And if children, then heirs, heirs of God, joint heirs

(33:15):
with Messiah. If indeed we suffer with him, that we
may also be glorified together. I get it. No one
wants to suffer. No one wants to go through the
mess of this fallen world. But it happens. And we
are called to endure. We're called to stand. We're called

(33:35):
to be strong in the Lord and the power of
His might. Because the Spirit Himself, the Spirit that is
inside of you, the Spirit that raised Yeshua from the dead,
testifies and confirms together with our spirit, which means he's
assuring us that we believers are children of God. Say it,

(34:01):
I'm a child of God. Say it, I'm a child
of God. And if we are his children, then we
are his heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs
of Messiah, sharing his spiritual blessing and inheritance, if indeed

(34:22):
we share in his suffering, so that we may also
share in his glory. Again, Paul says in Ephesians 2,
starting in verse 5, even when we were spiritually dead
and separated from him because of our sins, he made
us spiritually alive together with Messiah, for by his grace,

(34:45):
his undeserved favor and mercy, you have been saved from
God's judgment. And he raised us up together with him
when we believed and seated us with him in the
heavenly places because we are in Messiah Yeshua. If you're

(35:09):
not feeling strong, if you're not feeling elevated, if you're
not feeling foundationally supported get back into this word read
this stuff to yourself out loud let your cells absorb
it let your brain absorb it there's so many scientific

(35:30):
things I wish I could explain to you that they're
discovering now that I've been teaching since 2010 that your
cells are absorbing what you're saying And they will do
what you say. They are programmed to respond to what
you say. So even during this month that I've been

(35:53):
fighting whatever this is, I don't speak that I'm sick.
I don't speak that I'm ill. I am healthy. I
am whole. I begin to speak to things not as
they are, but as they should be in accordance with
his word so that my cells can go back to
their divine design and fight whatever is interfering with that.

(36:14):
So there are three things that we are together with
him on. We're together with him in his resurrection. We're
together with him in his ascension. And we, you and me,
are together with him in his present rule at God's
right hand. So why are we so victimized? Why is

(36:35):
the church, the group, not the building, not the organization,
all of us who are called out, why are we
so defeated? Because we've been lied to by bad teachers
who've listened to the enemy. Who've tickled ears and weakened
the people. Who's fed them pablum instead of meat. If

(36:57):
you're here, you're here to get strong. You're here to
rise up. You're here to be victorious. You're here to
be ready for what's coming, sword and shield. You're here
to be able to rescue the lamb from the lion's mouth.
To pray for your family. To have a good word
in season. And if necessary, to pray for them in
the name of Yeshua HaMashiach. Come out of that person.

(37:19):
Set them free of whatever it is. Call that spirit out.
Call that bondage out. Pray for them. We are in
a partnership with him. And because of that, he grants
us kingdom power. He shares it with us. We don't

(37:42):
take it from him. We can't abuse it. He grants
it to us to use. Colossians 1.13, for he has
rescued us and drawn us to himself from the dominion

(38:02):
of darkness and has transferred us to the kingdom of
his beloved son. That's what God did for you. That's
what your father did for you. First, he drew you
to the son. Then he rescued you. And then he
transferred you. So our life is a tale of two kingdoms.

(38:24):
The kingdom of light or the kingdom of darkness. The
kingdom of God or the kingdom of Satan, which is
the kingdom of this world. That's our life. You can't
play it in the middle. You're either one or the other.
Fully one or the other. And if you are in
the kingdom of light, if you're in the kingdom of God,
you are united with him and his authority. And his

(38:51):
authority is delegated to us to use on his behalf.
All authority, he said, has been given to me. Not some,
not partial. All authority in heaven, on earth, has been
given to Now go with that authority. Do something with it.

(39:11):
What are you going to do? Very specifically, what did
he say? You're not going to do what you want.
Make disciples of Yeshua. Not of a man, not of
a woman, not of an organization. Make them disciples of
the Lord. Baptize them. in the authority, in that authority

(39:32):
that's been delegated in the name of the Father and
the Son and the Holy Spirit. They are declaring through
their baptism, I believe, I accept, I participate. And then
teach them. Teach them whatever you know, and when you
get to the end of that, learn more or give

(39:55):
them off to someone else. There are, right now, on
Firefall Talk Radio and all the places that we post, what,
16 years worth of teaching? I think I took some
of them down, but there's what we've been doing since
about 10 years ago maybe. I'd have to go back

(40:19):
and look. This just kind of came to my head.
There's two sections to listen from. There's an older section
and then the newer one. There's plenty of teachings there
on every topic, including the reflections in the dark, including
all the things that we did covering other topics. There's

(40:40):
plenty of food to eat. And it doesn't spoil and
it doesn't go bad. We need to be spiritual preppers.
We need to start preparing and hoarding our food spiritually.
We need to get ready because if you're not paying
attention to the earthquakes and the volcanoes and the wars

(41:02):
and the rumors of wars and all the alliances that
are happening and Gog and Magog and all this stuff
that's happening simultaneously. Yes, it's happened at various times in
the past, but it's happening all at once. And the
people that are rising up and the All the things
that are happening. We are on the verge of the
return of the king. Creation is groaning. So we need

(41:29):
to get this because he's with us in everything that
we do in his name. And it just dawned on me.
I wonder how he feels when he sees how we
have wasted or squandered or abused what he's given us.

(41:50):
You know, I've done this. You give somebody a food,
something you made special for them. They throw it away.
They don't eat it. They give it to someone else.
They don't appreciate it. There's something, you feel that. He's
with us. Matthew 18, 20, amplified for where two or
three are gathered in my name, meeting together as my followers.

(42:14):
I am there with them. If you can't find a
local fellowship that you fit in, then find people you
can pray with. Larry and I FaceTime almost every day
and pray every day. We study the Word together. We
go over things together. Find someone you can do that with.

(42:36):
Technology allows you to cut the distances. Do not stay alone.
John 14, 13, whatever you ask in my name that
I will do, that the Father may be glorified in
the Son. And he knows that when he said that

(42:57):
through the Holy Spirit, you're not going to ask for
something silly or something harmful. You're going to ask in
accordance with his will. This is what he's saying. I
will do whatever you ask in my name, in his
powerful name, as my representative. This I will do so

(43:17):
that the Father may be glorified and celebrated in the Son.
Why is it that we don't, for the most part,
glorify God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit
every time? Good question. One I've never gotten an answer to.

(43:43):
But there's a danger here. There's something I want to
warn about. the misuse of his name. In Matthew 24, 5,
he warned us that many would come in his name,
misusing it and appropriating the strength of the name which
belongs to him. We're seeing that a lot today. We

(44:05):
see a very specific biblical example in Acts 8, right
after Philip prays for the eunuch, He gets translated. He
goes to Samaria. He preaches Yeshua. People believe. They get saved.
They see miracles, healing, deliverances. They get baptized. It's the
greatest revival Samaria has ever seen. For unclean spirits crying

(44:30):
out with a loud voice came out of many who
were possessed and many who were paralyzed and lame were
healed and there was great joy in that city. But
in that crowd is Simon, a renowned sorcerer, who had
amazed them with his parlor tricks, some of it real,
some of it not. He sees this, and so he

(44:52):
professes faith and follows Philip. They hear about it in Jerusalem.
Peter and John show up, and they begin to pray
for the believers, laying hands on them to receive the
Holy Spirit. So what does Simon do? Simon the sorcerer
goes to Peter and offers him money for the authority

(45:15):
that they have to give others the Holy Spirit. Peter
is right on it. Verse 20 of Acts 8. He
says to him, May your money be destroyed along with
you because you thought you could buy the free gift
of God with money. You have no part or share

(45:35):
in this matter whatsoever. because your heart, your motive, your
purpose is not right with God. So repent of this
wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that, if possible,
this thought of your heart may be forgiven you. For
I see that you are provoked by bitterness and bound

(45:57):
by sin. Simon answered, Pray to the Lord for me,
both of you, so that nothing of what you have
said will come upon me, I find it so amazing.
First of all, that he would do this. But he
doesn't ever really repent. He just doesn't want to be punished.

(46:17):
He thought he could buy the gift because he wanted
to do it. He wanted to, you know, be popular again.
The name of the Lord is not for sale. And
Simon's heart was not right. Therefore, I do not believe
he was born again. There's no evidence that he ever
did repent. He just didn't want to be punished. He

(46:42):
became the example of something we call simony, S-I-M-O-N-Y. It's
the act of selling church offices or rolls or sacred things.
It's named after Simon Magus, who this is. He wanted
the power of the Holy Spirit, but he wanted to

(47:02):
buy it. So any form of trafficking in the church
for money Spiritual things, offices, pardons, favors. If you're not
figuring out by now what major denomination falls into that category,
you're not paying attention. But we had better respect the
name of God. We better respect the name of the Lord.

(47:24):
Deuteronomy 5.11, the Ten Commandments. Still in effect, by the way.
You shall not take the name of the Lord your
God in vain. That is irreverently in false affirmations. or
in ways to impugn the character of God. For the
Lord will not hold you guiltless nor leave unpunished the

(47:47):
ones who take his name in vain, disregarding its reverence
and its power. To use the name of the Lord,
the name of God, in a casual, frivolous way, establishes
a mindset that diminishes and dishonors Almighty God. Worst of

(48:10):
all is using the name of God to abuse, to manipulate,
or to deceive invites judgment. Everybody thinks, oh, taking the
Lord's name in vain is, you know, cursing or whatever.
It's more than that. It's laying his name on something
that he had nothing to do with. It's covering up

(48:30):
your sin or your mistake with his name. Be careful
with that. Judgment will come. And here's my experience. From
the day you do that, you have a year to repent.
I don't know why it's a year. It just seems
to be the way he does it. He gives you

(48:51):
a year to repent. If you do not, judgment will come.
We do what we do in the name of the Lord.
And he did it in the name of the Father
in John chapter 5, verse 43, speaking to the Jews
who were angry at him because he healed on the Sabbath.
I have come in my Father's name and with his power,

(49:13):
and you do not receive me because your minds are closed.
But if another comes in his own name and with
no authority or power except his own, you will receive
him and give your approval to an imposter. Pretty clear.
Not holding any punches. What do you really think, Lord?

(49:37):
Tell us what you really think. The name of Yeshua,
the name of Jesus, represents divine authority, salvation, and victory
over all the powers. And as stated, there is salvation
in no other name but Jesus. No other name is

(50:04):
a believer saved except through his redemptive work on the cross.
So praying in the name of Jesus, praying in the
name of Yeshua gives believers direct access to the Father
and assures that their requests align with his will. His

(50:29):
powerful name brings healing. It brings deliverance. In the name
of Yeshua HaMashiach, come out. That's all. There's no icons.
There's no laying a cross on somebody. There's none of
the show that gets put on out there. That's it.
It brings transformation when it's spoken in faith. But again,

(50:59):
when we use this authority in this fallen world, it
will bring persecution and it will bring attacks. In Acts 16,
Paul and Silas are preaching. And there's a certain, picking
up verse 16, certain slave girl possessed with the spirit

(51:20):
of divination, the spirit of Python, Oracle of Delphi, the
whole bit, met us, who brought her masters much profit
by fortune telling. This girl followed Paul and us and
cried out saying, these men are servants of the most
high God who proclaim the way of salvation. Is she lying? No,

(51:40):
she's telling the truth, but she's drawing attention away from
them to her and validating herself. She's validating herself. See,
I know who these guys are. And this she did
for many days, but Paul greatly annoyed and said to
the spirit, I command you in the name of Jesus,
the Messiah, come out of her. And he came out

(52:02):
that very hour. You see any oil, you see any
holy water, you see any crosses, you see any icons,
you see anything else but the spoken word, I command
you in the name of Jesus the Messiah, come out
of her. And he came out that very hour. And
when her masters saw that their hope of profit was gone,

(52:25):
they seized Paul and Silas and dragged them into the
marketplace to the authorities. And what happens? They're beaten. They're imprisoned.
They're thrown into jail. for what they did. And we
know that this is the same jail where they began
to praise. And the earthquake came and the doors flew

(52:47):
open and gave more opportunities to save, heal, and deliver.
Every part of a believer's life should bring glory to
the name of the Lord, should bring glory to the
name of Jesus. should bring glory to the name of Yeshua,
reflecting his love and his power to the world. With

(53:10):
that fortune-teller girl that was possessed, casting it out of her.
Right there for everybody to see. Setting her free. Never
hear what happens to her. Don't know what kind of response.
Maybe there were some people that believed. They get thrown
into jail. The jailer gets... Saved, healed, and delivered, and

(53:32):
so does his entire family. And we don't even know
what happened with the prisoners. The name of Jesus, healing, deliverance,
and transformation when we speak it in faith. The name

(53:54):
carries all authority in heaven and on earth. It's not
a magic formula. It's not abracadabra. It's not hocus pocus.
It's a specific spiritual principle based upon the word of
the Lord. But when you use it in faith, you're
making a declaration of your allegiance to the king of kings.

(54:20):
Look at the miracles of Acts 19, the miracles in Ephesus.
God was doing extraordinary and unusual miracles by the hands
of Paul. so that even the handkerchiefs or face towels
or aprons that had touched his skin were brought to
the sick, and their diseases left them, and the evil
spirits came out of them. Let me stop right there.

(54:44):
This is not a formula. This is not a ritual.
This is not something that should be done in the church.
Bring your handkerchief forward. No, this was done because of Paul.
Nothing in there says, hey, do this. Then some of
the traveling Jewish exorcists, and they did what they did

(55:07):
based upon the Babylonian mystery religion and the Kabbalah, attempted
to call the name of the Lord over those evil spirits, saying,
I implore you and solemnly command you by the Jesus
whom Paul preaches. And so, The seven sons of one

(55:30):
named Sheba, a Jewish chief priest, they were doing this.
But the evil spirit retorted, I know and recognize and
acknowledge Jesus. I know about Paul. But as for you,
who are you? And the man in whom the evil

(55:51):
spirit had leapt on subdued all of them and overpowered
them so that they ran out of the house in terror.
stripped naked and wounded. And this became known to all
who lived in Ephesus, both Jew and Greek, and fear
fell upon them all. And the name of the Lord Jesus,
the Lord Yeshua, was magnified and exalted. And many of

(56:18):
those who had believers were coming and confessing and disclosing
their foremost sinful practices. But their failure brought glory to
the Lord. It proved that he had power, they had none.
There's no ritual, there's no book. And this, by the way,

(56:42):
you can make note of, is the only time the
word exorcist is used in the Bible, and it's referring
to the sons of Sheba, who did it by the Kabbalah.
So the Spirit knew Yeshua's name, they had heard about, Paul.

(57:03):
But they didn't know the guys that were using that name.
They didn't know the seven sons of Sheba who had
no authority to use his name. The use of his
name will bring healing, will bring repentance, and will offer
salvation when we as believers use it. Colossians 3.17, whatever

(57:29):
you do in word or deed, do it all in
the name of the Lord Jesus, Adonai Yeshua, giving thanks
to God the Father through him. So in everything that
we do, in every action, in every word we speak,
we do it in his name. Whatever it is, do

(57:51):
everything in the name of the Lord and our dependence
upon him And while doing it, we give thanks and
glory to God the Father through him. So this all-powerful name,
when you speak his name with faith, you call upon
the power that created the universe. You call upon the

(58:16):
one who overcame death, and you call upon the name
of the one who will ultimately renew all things. Yeshua's
name carries supreme authority, but that authority must be honored
and not exploited. As believers, we are to live, pray, serve,

(58:43):
and witness under his authority, reflecting his character and giving
glory to God. So that name, when we use it,
we are representing him. We're representing his identity, his authority,
his saving work, his victory over sin and death, and

(59:08):
standing against every opposing. power. So there's no other name
but the name of Jesus. No other name but the
name of the Lord. There's no other name but the
name of Jesus is worthy of glory and worthy of honor.

(59:31):
and worthy of power and all praise. His name is
exalted far above the earth. His name is high above
the heavens. His name is exalted far above the earth,
so give glory and honor and praise unto his name.

(59:55):
Let the enemy know, let the world know, all hail
the power of Yeshua's name. Let angels bow before him.
Bring forth that royal diadem and crown him Lord of all.
Because there's no other name but the powerful name of Yeshua,

(01:00:19):
the name of Jesus. Thank you, Lord, for letting us
use your name. I ask you, Holy Spirit, to take
everything that's been said and write it upon our hearts
and minds. so that when we speak your name, it
comes out in power. When we speak your name, it
comes out in belief. When we speak your name, there's

(01:00:39):
healing and there's deliverance and there's salvation and there's restoration
and there's renewal to the person who hears it and
receives it. Thank you, Lord, for giving us this wonderful
privilege Thank you, Father, for entrusting us with this honor.

(01:01:07):
Let us grasp it. Let us hold it dearly. Let
us treasure it. But let us share it so that
when the end comes and all have bowed their knee
before him, declaring him Lord of all, King over all,

(01:01:29):
We can be a part of that. We can celebrate that.
We can experience that because we will be bending our
knee too. All creation, all creation, even the animals. How
glorious a day that will be when his feet touch down.

(01:01:56):
And it's all over. He has subjected the enemy. And
he walks through the eastern gate. Oh, Lord. So much
going on right now in our lives. So much going
on in the world. What a timely message you have offered,
Holy Spirit. Thank you for giving me the voice and

(01:02:17):
the ability to do it. Let it resonate inside each
and every one of us right now. whether you say
Yeshua or whether you say Jesus, say it from your heart,
not from just your mind and your lips. Say it
from your heart, knowing who he is, knowing what he's done.

(01:02:39):
And let your life be what he desires it to be.
And I pray this with all my heart in Yeshua's name. Amen.
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord, Adonai,

(01:03:01):
make his face to shine upon you and be gracious
to you. May the Lord, Adonai Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus, Jesus,
Jesus the Messiah, lift up his countenance upon you and
give you peace, give you shalom. I'm Richard Grund. This
