The Porch looks at the need to continually "stir up" or revive the spiritual gifts within us. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is the foundation for Christian life, distinguishing between external (feelings, traditions) and internal (faith, Spirit-led) living. This is a renewed call to personal and corporate revival by maintaining the "fire" of the Spirit, not just by experiencing the fire, but also by carrying it into the world.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
Welcome, Welcome to the Porch. On Firefall Talk Radio, I'm
Richard grind This is where you'll find the uncompromised red
letter basics of the Word of God. We focus on
the Book of Acts Church to see how they served
the Lord. In doing so, we find the Church a
Lord intended, not the one Man created. The Porch is

(00:44):
a non denominational, full gospel approach to the Bible based
on the examples from the Book of xt Church, and
it aims to restore the priesthood of the believer while
regaining the world shaking influence that the early Church at
the Church Age is not over. The Upper Room experience

(01:07):
is available today just as it was on the day
of Pentecost. It's yours if you want it. We will
offer you the Word as the Apostles would have to
the Jewish and Gentile believers of their day, using both
the Yeshua and Jesus. When speaking of the Lord, we
prefer the term Messire rather than Christ, as it more

(01:29):
accurately reflects how he was referred to by those who
knew him. Additionally, we provide definitions in Hebrew, Greek, and
Aramaic when necessary. Getting back to basics, isn't just a motto,
it's a mandate from the Lord. Links to all of

the porch. Contact us if you need prayer, Remember we
care about you. If you'd like to be on the
prayer email list, let us know. We start out with
praise and then prayer, and then we go into the world.
For me, I praise them for my salvation, my home,
my wife, my family, are sons, daughter in law's, grandchildren,

(02:40):
furry kids. Everything we have comes from Him, so I
always praise them for that first, for his provision and protection,
for the dreams and the visions, for divine health and healing,
for his abiding favor, which we cannot live without. I
praise them for the continuing revelation of the Holy Spirit

(03:02):
to help us get through these times. For being a
new creation and being allowed to serve Him in the
family business. I pray for the peace of Jerusalem and
a prosper who love you someone twenty two, verse six.
I pray for our Jewish brothers and sisters. I pray

(03:22):
for all of our brothers and sisters around the world.
Pray for America, that God would forgive us, shed his
grace upon us, get us back to following Him and
not man. Pray for the people being victimized in Iran
being slaughtered. They're reporting anywhere from forty to upward thousands

(03:45):
of people have been slaughtered by their government and the
world just watches. I pray for our brothers and sisters
being victimized and persecuted and being slaw go it for
their faith in Yeshua in the Lord. Pray for the fatherless,

(04:06):
the widows, the persecuted, and the martyr, the innocence and
those who are victims of injustice. Pray against the slaughter
of the innocence in and out of the womb, for
missing and exploited children, For the victims of human sex trafficking.
What an ugly satanic endeavor. I pray against the spirit

(04:30):
of the Antichrist, the growing religious persecution and anti Semitism
going hand in hand, getting ready for the arrival of
the Man of sin, the son of perdition. We need
to stand as long as we're here, we need to
stand against that. And to do that we need divine wholeness,

(04:51):
health and healing, and each and every one of us
getting back to our divine design. Pray for a Som
ninety one covering over us so that we can stand
fast and the faith and the power of His name,
that those that are asleep would be awakened, it would
answer the call that he would open the doors for

(05:13):
all the projects and plans that are his, which are
a part of the kingdom building, which means we need
kingdom finances. So Father, we come to you, and the
name of you sure, the name of your Son, our
Lord and Savior, We ask you to bless this time,
protect us, watch over us, hover over us with your spirit. Lord,

(05:36):
We thank you, Thank you for the cross, the empty tomb,
the upper room. Thank you for sending back the spirit
to walk with us, to guide us, to teach us
and encourage us. And that's what we need today. We
need encouragement. We need a word that fills us and
fires us up. So protect us, keep us free of

(05:57):
all interference, and let you worl will be done this
day on the porch in your shoe's name, And if
you agree with me, say amen.

Okay, let's get those Bibles open. However, you follow along notes.
Remember you can download these and follow and re listen.
Get this word inside of you. The book about fed
on the word. They lived by the word. They are
our model for building God's kingdom, and we do that

(07:10):
through spirit, empowered to salvation and transformation based upon the
Word of God. If you're a part of the remnant,
and I believe that you are the wise, you wouldn't
be here listening. Your focus should be to return to
an authentic experience led by the Holy Spirit. Will you

(07:32):
prioritize worship and relationship over man made programs. We are
called to follow the biblical blueprint instead of traditions, the
worldly methods that have gotten us into the mess we'rein.
By building the Kingdom of God, we destroy the kingdom
of darkness. We restore the Church, and we do that

(07:55):
with the Holy Spirit, the Word, and discipleship and disciple others,
going beyond tradition, getting back to the basics. We are
the light of the world Matthew five fourteen. Because he
is the light of the world Johnny twelve, and he's
shining through us. We reflect him in all that we do.

(08:22):
Just like the moon provides light for the Earth at night,
it does so because it's reflecting the sun. The sun
is the actual source of light. We reflect the Sun
into the darkness to be those guiding lights we talked
about last week, leading people home, leading them out of
the darkness, and we do that by the fire of

(08:46):
His Holy Spirit inside of us. There's a song by
Paul Wilbur on the Holy Fire album called burn in Me.
It's a favorite. It gets me going, very simple. Burn
in me, burn in me, Let the fire of the
Holy One burn in me your words like a fire

(09:12):
burning in my soul, burning up the dross, bringing forth
the gold. You feel like a fire shut up in
my bones. Consume me, Lord, make me your own. That's it.
Those three sections that I just read to you, burn

(09:33):
in us, Lord, burn in us. Lord. Let the fire
of the Holy One burn in us, burn in our soul,
burn up the dross, Bring forth your gold. Consume us, Lord,
make us your own. Unleash the fire of the Holy

(09:57):
One in us. Lord, So those those lines in burn
in me. The speaking of the burning fire the Holy
Spirit within our souls. Just as the early Disciples experienced
the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Acts two three,
there appear to them tongues resembling fire, which were being

(10:21):
distributed among them, and they rested upon each one of
them as each person received the Holy Spirit. That verse
is about the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the
day of Pentecost, that fire that still burns today, transformative
fire of the Holy Spirit's presence, that songs, quoting Jeremiah

(10:44):
twenty three twenty nine, is not my word like a fire,
says to the Lord, And like a hammer that breaks
the rock in pieces. He's asking, is not my word
like fire that consumes all that cannot endure. The test

(11:05):
says the Lord in like a hammer that breaks the
most stubborn rock in pieces. There's power, power in God's
word to transform and purify our hearts. It's quoting from
Jeremiah twenty verse nine, where he says, if I say

(11:29):
I will not remember him or speak his name anymore,
then my heart becomes a burning fire shut up in
my bones, and I'm weary of enduring and holding it in.
I cannot endure it nor contain it any longer. That
fire gets inside of you, you can't hold it in.

(11:49):
You have to let it out. There have been times
in my past that I've shared it in my testimony
where I just didn't want to do it anymore. Didn't
want to do this anymore, just wanted to go back
to where I'd come from and not have the battles,
and not have the wounds, and not have the struggles.
But I couldn't do it for long, and I don't

(12:10):
even try anymore. The fire burns in me. The intensity
of the fire of God's word within Jeremiah is the
burning desire to share the word, to share God's message.
Once that fire is lit, it will keep burning. How
hot it burns depends upon how much you work it.

(12:34):
The fire of God's presence cannot be contained. It's a
burning desire to be consumed by God's love and to
fully surrender to his calling. There's nothing like it, and
once it happens, you don't want anything else. You resent
anything else that gets in the way. Why I'm constantly

(12:58):
seeking and knocking for the that I know that he
has ordained to do what he's called to do, because
it a burning fire to get out there, to set
the captives free, destroying the work of the enemy, redeeming
the land two Timothy one sixth. Therefore, he says, I
remind you, Timothy, I remind you to stir up the

(13:21):
gift of God which is in you through the laying
on of my hands. Stir it up, resuscitate the flame,
kindle it afresh, revive it is what he's saying. Every
now and then, we need the fire to be stirred up.
We need it to be revived back into life. The

(13:45):
world tries to smother it. Circumstances try to smother it.
The enemy wants to put it out. But it's there,
whether it's a pilot light or a raging, roaring flame
engulfing things. We need the wind of the spirit like bellows,
to blow on that flame to give its strength. That's

(14:07):
what the word does for me. That's what worship does
for me. The New Anger's Bible Dictionary says the word
revive haya to live to God's to live. The word
is used to signify being made alive, to be comforted,
to be refreshed. In the Original King James, they used

(14:29):
the word quicken. Quicken my mortal body. Revive it, revive
the spirit within me. As I look at what's going
on in the world and I look at the Church
of Sleep, the fire burns, firefall. That's what this is about.
Firefall media, firefall productions, firefall talk radio. It's about bringing

(14:52):
down the fire upon the church, bringing down the fire
upon the enemy, bringing down the fire, there upon the sacrifice,
bringing down the fire of the Upper Room. In Rhinod
Bonky's book Taking Action, Receiving and Operating the Gifts in
the Power of the Holy Spirit, he talks about the

(15:13):
Welsh Revival. This is what he says. In a matter
of months, some one hundred thousand people were converted and
joined the chapels. The chapels were like fireplaces. Little of
them is left today. Those fireplaces are full of cold
ash and cinders. Chapels where strong men on their knees

(15:37):
were pented in tears are now used as bingo halls
or warehouses. The glory and the fire have gone Ikabad,
which means God's glory has departed, is written across church
doors and chapels are empty, but the prisons are full again.
Revival completely eliminated crime, but apostasy has produced the highest

(16:03):
crime rate ever recorded. God wants furnaces, he doesn't want freezers.
This is what happens when the fire is allowed to
go out. The Lord desires his church to flourish, to
blossom again, to live again, to regain that life. And

(16:25):
periodically he sends out a wind, he sends out a word,
he sends out a message or a messenger to stir
things back up. The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia says, in
view of the frequent modern use of revived and revival,
it is worthy of notice that it is to Timothy

(16:48):
himself the exhortation is addressed. We too often merely pray
for revivals, forgetting that it is for us to stir
into the flame, to stir up the gift the gift
of the spirit, which we have already received of God.
It is ours from Him, but we let it lie

(17:12):
dormant as a slumbering ember. Merely stir it up. If
you feel like you've lost it, or you don't have
that passion, or you forgot what it felt felt like,
stir it up. You know, this past week, Ron Conoli,
praising worship leader, really big in the nineties and early

(17:35):
two thousands, passed away. So I started listening to some
of his music that we used to use in the
home fellowship, and it stirred me up. It made me
remember those moments of praise and worship when the spirit
would fall. And the first time I heard him listen

(17:57):
to that whole album, I think it's Jesus is Alive
and there's a section of worship high praise that the
first time in Hippie I fell out. I mean I
literally like a giant tree in the middle of the
forest in our family room. The presence was so overwhelming.

(18:19):
Stirred up all upon the Lord, stirred up. The Dictionary
Bible theme speaking of revival. Revival is the sovereign activity
of God where He renews his people individually and corporately

(18:39):
in vigor, affecting both sincerity of belief and quality of behavior. Oh,
you can't sin if the fire is on you. You
can't do the things that worldly Christians do. If the
fire is present. It's no doubt easy to under stand

(19:01):
why the enemy wants to put it out and why
people let him. Some one nineteen verse thirty seven turned
my eyes from looking at worthless things, you know, like
worldly and religious things, and revived me in your way.
That should be the hard cry of the church right now,

(19:23):
turn our eyes away from vanity, all those worldly, meaningless
things that distract. Let your priorities be mine, restore me
with renewed energy in your ways. Lord. You know we
saw that three years ago, actually three years ago this month.

(19:46):
The Kentucky Outpoint at Ashbury Asbury University routine Wednesday Chapel
service student body went on for weeks. They had the
theme that no celebrities except Jesus. If people tried to

(20:06):
take it over or bring attention to themselves, they were
discouraged not to do so, sometimes being asked to leave.
It was all about the Lord. That's what Evan Roberts
did with the Welsh Revival. It was not about him,
it was about the Lord. Well, during that revival in Kentucky,

(20:29):
fifty to seventy thousand visitors fifty thousand to seventy thousand
came during its duration, with around fifteen thousand people attending
each day, participants from more than two hundred other academic
institutions and even multiple countries. You want to know what

(20:51):
happened to it? It ended when school officials decided they
were done with the inconvenience and cut off access. They
shut the fire down. That's how the fire goes out,
instead of just letting it burn. How did the Wales
Revival end? Interestingly enough, of female evangelist and writer Jesse

(21:15):
Penn Lewis got into Evan Roberts's ear that he was
in the flesh and that he was drawing people to
him and nots to the Lord. And Evan became so
depressed he wouldn't come down out of his room, he
wouldn't preach, he wouldn't do anything, and she effectively killed
the emberor that God had used to start the fire,

(21:37):
and it faded out. Azuza Street faded out because people
got in the way. They shut it down, disagreements, the
flesh got in there. That's what the enemy does. He
doesn't have to come in hard and fast. He just
plants a thought and emotion brings in a problem person
that leadership isn't quick to discern and remove. Generation z

(22:02):
gen Z for short. They're known as the Zoomers. Nineteen
ninety seven to twenty twelve is when they were born.
They were the ones that the Kentucky outpouring was built on.
Still is still going on around different places, different campuses,
But basically they're leaving the church. They're leaving religion. They're

(22:29):
leaving spaces where God is not free to move. They
have an urgency to pursue what is real and what
is true. They don't want performance. And it's amazing how
these big mega churches, which are dying by the way,
keep going with the performance and the dog and ponies
show and the kids are going. We don't want that.

(22:51):
We want the authentic presence of God. And when it comes,
when they feel it, they just want to live in it.
They want to bathe in it, they want to dwell
in it forever. They're disgusted with the traditions of man
and denominations and what it's done to the worship of
the Lord from an organic entity to a manipulated, canned process.

(23:14):
But unfortunately, like every other time, they eventually become the
very thing they rebelled against. And that's how it's always been.
The people on the forefront of the revival and the
change become what they hate, and then they're against the
next thing that comes. Old wineskins can't take the new wine,

(23:38):
but there is a way to put new wine in
old wineskins. Got to bathe them in oil hot oil
for an extended period of time. It went from there.
It picked up Auburn's nevill Arena. In September twenty twenty three,
five thousand students showed up for a night of worship, testimony,

(23:58):
in prayer, and it sparked a ca wide movement that
went outward services when crowds filled nearby lakes for spontaneous baptisms,
setting the tone for what would become a multi campus
movement of God across the country. Fifty five hundred students

(24:19):
Universities Cincinnati, six thousand students at North Carolina State, seven
thousand of Grand Canyon University, eight thousand at the University
at Tennessee, seven thousand at the University of South Florida
nine thousand at the University of Oklahoma, Florida State. Everywhere
the fire fell and somebody caught fire, and they brought

(24:42):
the embers to their campus. Another thing broke out. They're hungry,
they want more. I want more. That's why I keep
the fire stirred up, pray to be able to take
it out there, to do what I'm doing right now, worship, testimony,

(25:07):
praise fire. But what about revival deep in the rainforest
where there's no electricity, never mind internet in five g
or in a remote valley surrounded by mountains and deserts
where the nearest city is three days ride. Or the

(25:29):
churning chaos of a slum with little to no infrastructure,
an endless stream of migrants fling drought, flooding, or some
militia group. It's happening that way too. In Iran, there's
been a sustained church growth despite the risk. The rapid

(25:51):
growth of the church in Iran it has been reported
now for over a decade. Even amid unrest, Iranians spear
injuries continues to rise and the church expands. While it's
impossible to verify the exact number is due to its
underground status estimates suggests they're over a million committed believers

(26:12):
in Iran. Don't you think that could be why the
enemy's trying to crush the people, afraid of losing power,
afraid of losing its control. What about Thailand? Missionaries have
been going to Thailand for decades seed has been sown
rare and missions, but little fruit. But then in the

(26:35):
last few years, a group called the Free in Jesus
Christ Association FJCCA has experienced explosive growth and effective discipleship
by going village to village evangelizing thousands, mostly in rural
home churches. There's no denomination or group, It's just a people.

(27:00):
It's just the church. Mass, public baptisms, sometimes close to
fifteen hundred new believers at a time are reshaping and
impacting a primarily Buddhist nation. What about Minimar Oh Boy?
A lot of terror, there, a lot of violence, military

(27:20):
coup in twenty twenty one, brutality, churches and schools being
targeted by artillery, fighter jets and soldiers, a place that
is ninety five percent Buddhist Burmese. But regardless of that,
believers are rising up. They're praising, the worshiping some are

(27:42):
even fighting back, and despite the terror and destruction, thousands
are experiencing revival. The church is growing and spreading. Even
those Burmese Buddhists are becoming followers of Yeshia and they're
doing it a mis terrible suffering, But what's amazing they

(28:02):
have specifically decided not to live out hatred and vengeance,
but to live in love that empowers them to forgive
even their persecutors. Then there's Algeria, a place that is
predominantly Islamic. In recent years, the church has enlarged, which

(28:23):
is an extremely rare occurrence in North Africa, tens of
thousands of believers. And this outpouring and growth is happening
during intense Islamist violence of the Algerian Civil War that
began in the nineteen nineties. Prejudicial treatment, government surveillance, church closures, hostility,

(28:48):
arrests have not deterred the church. They just keep making
disciples and growing in numbers and reaching out other groups,
sending missionaries to other nations to reach people that are
ethnically related to them. India has an unjust caste system.

(29:11):
A large bulk of those people, the downtrod and the poor,
the rejected are following is shue of the following Jesus,
and because of India's sex selective abortion problem, there are
millions of orphans, especially girls considered to be surplus. Well,

(29:32):
that younger generation is becoming the dynamic part of the
growing ranks of the Body of Messiah in India. One
national leader shared of one hundred and seventy thousand children
involved in just one network of kids clubs where they
are fed, educated disciples and taught to worship Jesus and

(29:56):
pray with impressive fervency and authority. And that's only one
network operating in only half of India's states. Spiritual breakthrough
and transformation is happening in many parts of India, but

(30:16):
the sheer size of India and it's population, combined with
the security concerns, mean that these breakthroughs happen below the radar.
But they're happening. The fire is falling, it is spreading.
And then we get to Africa, a place of We've

(30:36):
talked about the people in Nigeria and other places, brothers
and sisters that are being slaughtered for their faith. But
the problem is it's not putting out the fire, it's
spreading it there's a well known Holy Ghost Service of
the Redeemed Christian Church of God, takes place outside of Legos, Nigeria,

(30:57):
on the first Friday of every month. It begins at
seven pm and lasts throughout the night. Attendance has been
known to exceed one million people. Musicians and singers alone
number in the thousands. In Kenya, there's a Heaven's Gate
Prayer Mountain. It's a retreat center for prayer and fasting.

(31:22):
Food's not permitted on the premises. It can accommodate two
to three thousand people. It operates year around, but at
peak times it overflows and people are begged to stop coming,
so they'll sleep on the ground and pray in the
fields if there's no room for them. In eat Thiopia,
Mount Amburrico. It's used to be the home to witch

(31:46):
doctors for centuries until one of them began to follow
the Lord, and then others followed suit, and the crowds
who gathered every year to worship the witch doctors begin
to worship the Messiah. As many as one hundred thousand
climb the ninety nine hundred foot mountain for a whole

(32:08):
day of prayer. It's a cry of revival. It's a cry.
It's a sign that says that we know better than
what we're being given. It's not the real thing. And
yet you look at the conditions of the Witch. Of
just the six places I read to you, the conditions
they live under, the persecution they live under. And the

(32:30):
fire is spreading. We need that fire here. The cry
of revival needs to happen. It's a sign that we
know that we are the problem. Religion is the problem,
and that he is the only answer to that problem.
He's the only one who can revive the fire of Pentecost,

(32:57):
he told us in John fourteen, verses sixteen and seven.
And I will pray the Father, and he will give
you another helper, that he may abide with you forever,
the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive because
it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him.
He dwells with you and will be in you. Ierminent

(33:22):
universal indwelling of the Holy Spirit among all believers is
at the heart of the distinctiveness of the Spirit's work
in the Church age. As long as that fire is here,
it will burn. We need to spread it. John fifteen

(33:45):
verses twenty six and twenty seven. But when the helper comes, well,
I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit
of Truth, who proceeds from the Father. He will testify
of me. And you will also bear witness, because you
have been with me from the beginning. When the comforter,

(34:08):
the counselor the helper, the advocate, the intercessor, the strengthener,
the standby when he comes, because the Lord's going to
send him from the Father, the Spirit of Truth, who
proceeds from the Father, he will testify regarding him. It

(34:29):
won't be about a man. It won't be about a denomination.
It won't be about rituals. It will be about the Lord.
It will be about Jesus. Only that proceed means to
go out, to depart, to go forth to issue from
That's where that fire flows from. It flows from the

(34:50):
Throne room. That's how it came down upon the Church
in the upper room. And it comes upon us from
the inside out, from the Father into us and goes
from us as we share it with others. Again, in
his book Taking Action and Receiving and Operating the Gifts

(35:11):
in Power the Holy Spirit Running Bank, he says the
Holy Spirit is God in action. Whenever there are supernatural operations,
they are by the spirit. All divine manifestations, such as
the gifts, are always by the spirit. When God moved

(35:31):
on the world in the beginning, it was what it
was by his spirit, Spirit of God hovering over the
face of the waters Genesis one two. The Father's will
is spoken by the word and performed by the Spirit.
He is the executive of the Godhead. That's why when

(35:52):
the Lord said to the disciples in Luke twenty four,
studying verse forty nine, the holdness and the promise of
my Father on you, but terry and the city of Jerusalem,
until you are endued with power from on high. Wait
for it. You're gonna need it. And after that he

(36:12):
lifted his hands, blessed them, and he departed from them,
carried off into heaven. Wait on it. It's going to
abide with you, endued into you, dying you permanently. So
why do we continue to look forward externally? It's inside

(36:34):
of us. Stir it up inside of you. The doctrine
of the indwelling is foundational to the other ministries the
spirit performs today. The problem is an internal one. Religion
looks for external solution to internal problems. The Holy Spirit

(36:54):
wants to deal with them from the inside out. The
enemy wants us to focus on the external and to
ignore the internal. That's where the Holy Spirit comes in.
He wants you to ignore it, forget about it. It
stopped with the last Apostle when John died. No more
Holy Spirit, no more gifts, no more prophecy. That's a

(37:18):
religious spirit. Any organization that believes that has the same
religious spirit that the Pharisees had, where it values external
over the internal. When you and I became new creations,
we became a creation to house His spirit and that

(37:39):
fire two Corinthians five point seventeen. Therefore, if anyone is
in Messiah, he is a new creation. All things have
passed away. Behold, all things have become new. If any
person is in grafted in the Messiah, he or she
is a new creation, a new creature altogether. Forget those

(38:03):
other things. You're not that way anymore. The old, previous
moral and spiritual condition you had has passed away. Behold,
the fresh and the new has come. That's why I
remember the day I got saved, the day I got
born again. It's the day that I this Richard was born.

(38:28):
Old things have passed away. The Greek word for old
is our chaos, ancient original. Such things are no more
in us. I'm not that person anymore. It's tied to
the Greek word kai, like the beginning ruling government or principality.

(38:51):
We don't serve that government anymore. We are in a
different ruling government now, a different kingdom, the Kingdom of God.
That fire burned it off, burned all the documents and
the deeds to that life, and wrote a new one.

(39:13):
Messiah rose from the dead, nushered in the new creation
and was established as the redeemer from sin and Lord
of the universe. So it was a new creation. You've
been transferred from one kingdom to another, from the kingdom
of darkness to the Kingdom of the Sun of His Love.

(39:33):
But for some reason, though the scripture says otherwise, people
seem to think that the Spirit comes and goes, and
that this is erratic, unpredictable behavior, the Holy Spirit based
upon individual feelings or the song that's being sung, or
what's going on that day. And I know I was

(39:55):
a part of that thinking. The fires in use stir
it up. The truth of the Holy Spirit is that
It dwells us and is not dependent upon our feeling
or knowledge or what we believe or don't believe. He's there,

(40:17):
he's real, he's active. Always remember, external equals feelings, internal
equals faith. The spirit abides stin, doesn't remove it, but
it will mute it. It will cause it for you
not to feel it as hard or as much as

(40:39):
you did before. But it's still there. It's why you
can stir it up. If you've ever been around a campfire,
been you know a part of a fire situation, you know,
fire pits or whatever. You have to stir it up
because the embers in the woods on top will put
the fire out. So you got to get the burning

(41:01):
ones at the bottom, give it some air, pull it
up a little bit, get the dead ones off what
needs to be burned off of you right now for
you to burn the way you want to burn. The
other thing. I'll tell you. Stay near the fire, stop

(41:23):
walking away. Hebrews ten twenty two. Let us draw near
with a true heart, in full assurance of faith, having
our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies
washed with pure water. Stay near the fire. Don't be

(41:44):
afraid of it. Don't be afraid what it's going to expose. No,
rather than go there and say, expose it, burn that
dross off of me, make me gold. You're either going
to be natural or you're going to be spiritual. Which
is what's your choice? Do you want to be natural
or do you want to be spiritual? Because one Corinthians

(42:09):
two fourteen tells me that the natural man does not
receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they
are foolishness to him, nor can he know them because
they are spiritually discerned. Why does the enemy want to
keep the church and it's had nursius knowledge intellect. It

(42:31):
takes you away from the spirit and the things of
the Spirit, and the absence of the Holy Spirit. I
would just tell you right now, if you know of
someone who says that the gifts of the Spirit and
the presence of the Spirit through prophecy and signs and
wonders is no longer present, they may want to consider

(42:57):
whether they're actually born again or not. Because the absence
of the Holy Spirit is evidence of an unsaved state.
According to scripture, his presence is evidence of being saved. Now,
if his presence is given only selectively to certain to

(43:19):
certain believers and not to all believers. Then you would
have some believers who are indwelled and others who are
just as surely saved, but not in dwelled. But that's
not what the Word says. The New Testament does not
teach or acknowledge two different kinds of believers. We are

(43:40):
either born again and filled with the spirit, or we're not.
The Old Covenant was written on tablets of stone. The
New Covenant is internally written on our hearts. And the
indwelling of the Holy Spirit is the confirmation. It is

(44:00):
the seal of our salvation. First John three twenty four.
All who keep his commandments, who obey his orders and
follow his plan, live and continue to live, to stay
and abide in Him and He and them, they let
Messiah be home to them, and they are home to Messiah.
By this we know and understand and have proof that

(44:23):
He really lives and makes his home in us, by
the Holy Spirit whom he has given us. That's the
proof one John four thirteen. By this we know we
abide in him and he and us, because He has
given us of his spirit. That's how you know whether

(44:44):
you live permanently in Him and he lives permanently in you,
and it's the presence of the Holy Spirit inside of you.
I can't tell you how many people when I've had
this conversation, Well, I just don't know. I don't know
if he's I've never felt him. I've never seen any
signs and wonders. He's never done anything through me. Why

(45:08):
have you let him? Have you stirred it up? Have
you cried out to him? Say, Lord, I want to
see this, I want to feel this, I want to
know this. Take anything out of me that hinders it.
Search me, as David said, search my heart. Romans eight

(45:31):
fifteen says, we did not receive the spirit of bondage
again to fear. But what did we receive? We've received
the spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out, Abba, Father,
What is the spirit capitalists of adoption? It's the Holy Spirit.
It's the seal of our salvation. I was receptive to

(45:52):
the things of the spirit because I had been receptive
to the things of demonic spirits. I knew what it
felt like. I understood the manifestation, and I understood the difference.
So if the Spirit abides in us, then we abide

(46:15):
in the Lord. Vine branches, sap. He's the vine. We
are the branches. The Holy Spirit is the nourishing life
force that flows through from the vine into the branches,
and we bear fruit. And without him, there's no fruit.

(46:39):
So it's either flesh or spirit. That's the division. That's
your measurement. It's either external or it's internal. If we're
living by the external, we are subject to the works
of the flesh. If we live by the spirit, we
produce the fruit of his presence. Were not perfect. There's

(47:05):
going to be mistakes, but then you'll repent. You'll come
under conviction. You know. Have people come to me, those
same people that don't know if he's present, I'll ask them,
do you feel conviction when you screw up? Oh? Yeah,
it's me immediately, I feel it inside. That's the Holy Spirit.
That's the convicting presence of the Holy Spirit. He's here

(47:29):
to correct and remind us of what the Lord said.
What did the Lord say in John fourteen sixteen? He
made a declaration, He made a promise to us. I
will pray, I will petition the Father, and he will
give you another helper that he may abide with you forever.

(47:56):
Sin doesn't remove the spirit but it grieves the spirit,
grieve him enough to make him back off. Free will,
free choice. But what do you do? Well? My will
and my choice is to repent, because I want that back,
I want to feel that presence again. I want to
walk with it. Ephesians four thirties tells us, do not

(48:19):
grieve the Holy Spirit of God by whom you were
sealed for the day of redemption. Don't grieve him, be
conscious of him. Presumptuous sin, knowing that it's wrong. Doing
it anyway over a period of time will make us
immune to conviction. It will dull our senses. You and

(48:43):
I are made holy by His Holy Spirit. It cannot
be done by external means, can't be done with man
made traditions or rituals or icons, or you know, whatever.
Can only be done by Him Second Thessalonians two thirteen.
But we are bound to give thanks to God always

(49:05):
for you, brethren, beloved by the Lord, because God from
the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the
Spirit and belief in the truth. God has given us
everything we need to live a holy life in this world.

(49:25):
He gave us his word, he gave us the Spirit,
He gave us that fire, that divine power. Teco Peter
one verses three and four. As his divine power has
given to us all things that pertain to life and
godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by
glory and virtue, by which have been given to us

(49:48):
exceedingly great and precious promises that through these you may
be partakers of the Divine Nature, having escaped the corruption
that is in the world through lust. And because of that,
our way of life will be distinctly different from that
of an unholy world around us his divine power, his

(50:14):
divine nature. When that fire is present, the corruption won't
be there. That's what the dross is. The fire brings
that draws to the top and is removed every part
of life. Every part of our life will reflect the

(50:34):
transforming work of the Holy Spirit. Do not be conformed
to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of
your mind, that you may prove what is that good
and acceptable and perfect will of God. Where does that
transformation come from. It comes from the work of the

(50:55):
Holy Spirit in us. Again, in Runnered Bunkie's book, he
says a successful church is a burning bush. God speaks
from it. Our word is his word, or it is
no word at all. A church or flame with God,
a bush burning with holy fire will attract people better
than any amount of pr hype. The eminent Swiss theologian

(51:20):
Emil Brunner said, the church exists by mission, as fire
exists by burning. It burns by mission. We want forest
of burning bushes. God is clothed with fire, and his
servants are flames of fire. Unless we are burning, we
can never set anybody else on fire. So we follow

(51:45):
the blueprint. What are the elements of the original awakening
of the church. Remember, there wasn't a revival for them.
They were the first to receive it. So it was
an awakening into what they would become. What was happening
in the up room waiting on the Lord coming together
in unity of purpose, mind, and spirit. Because of that,

(52:07):
there was a manifestation and dispensation of the Holy Spirit
with external evidence. From that came a boldness to preach
the gospel. From that came conviction of sin, repentance, and conversion.
That's what the spirit brings. That's why the world doesn't
want it. Conviction, repentance, conversion. It changes us and inspires

(52:34):
us to tell others. And because of that, that's why
signs and wonders follow the Word. The Word inspires and
creates those signs and wonders. Through the Holy Spirit being
present in both, it brings forth the Book of Acts,
community of unity of purposed mind and spirit, the mainstay,

(52:55):
the main goal of what the porch is all about.
There's a hymn, you know, I really believe if you
do worship, we need to get back to the old hymns.
There's something pure about them. There's a hymn called the
Fire of Pentecost. Let me read you the lyrics. I

(53:19):
can never forget the moment when, after consecrating all and
trusting in a full atonement, I felt the fire of
Pentecost fall. I feel the fire of Pentecost burning just
now tis burning in my soul. My heart received the

(53:39):
fiery cleansing. My nature was at last renewed. My soul
with joy was overflowing with Pentecostal power. In Dude, I
feel the fire of Pentecost burning just now tis burning
in my soul. The inwood struggle now is ended. I

(53:59):
won the fight in Jesus' name and with his free
and full salvation. The Pentecostal blessing. I claim, I feel
the fire of Pentecost burning just now, tis burning in
my soul. Each justified and true believers should be baptized

(54:20):
with holy fire to burn the roots of sin forever
and purge away all evil desire. I feel the fire
of Pentecost burning just now, tis burning in my soul.

(54:41):
It's not enough to just sit by the fire. We
need to go. We need to take it with us.
And to do that we must keep the fire burning
inside of us. That hearts cry from that Paul where
Wilbasaw burn in me, burn in me. Let the fire

(55:06):
of the Holy Ghost burn in me. Lord help us
right now, all who are listening and all who are
in agreement, Let the fire burn in us. Stir it up,
Stir it up. We stirred up. Right now. We call
for it to come alive. All the dead embers, all

(55:28):
the things that have no place, all the things we
placed on top of it that may be smothering it.
It's looking for the wind of the Spirit. Blow on us. Lord,
blow through us, and let that fire be stirred up.
The fire of sharing the Gospel, the fire of worship,
the fire of praise, the fire of our testimony. When
we give our testimony, we go out, we set somebody

(55:49):
else on fire, who's then inspired to get saved, heal
and delivered, and go tell others. Stir us up. Lord,
the world's getting darker. We need to burn brighter, to
be those guiding lights, those lighthouses that lead people home,
to keep them from crashing upon the rocks, from getting
them out of the woods, away from the wolves and

(56:11):
the predators. And if need be, we'll go into those woods.
We'll go into the darkness to show them the way out,
maybe get them out of the predator's mouth. Whatever it takes. Lord,
renew us right now. Renew us in the name of
your shoe, the name of Jesus. Let us glorify him,

(56:35):
let us shine him, Burn in us, Lord, burn off
the draws, make us whole. I asked this from my heart,
and I pray this. Can you shoe his name? Amen?

(56:57):
May the Lord bless you and keep you you. May
the Lord make his face to shine upon you and
be gracious to you. May the Lord, I don't I
you sure, Hamashiah, Jesus the Messiah, lift up his countenance
upon you and give you peace, Give you shallow. I'm
