Speaker 1 (00:06):
Oh, Welcome to the Porch on Firefall Talk Radio. I'm
Richard grind This is where we get back to basics,
(00:29):
the uncompromised red letter basics of the Word of God.
To do that, we focus on the Book of Actor
Church to see how they serve the Lord. When that happens,
we find the church the Lord intended and not the
one Man created. And boy, do we need that church today.
(00:49):
The Porch is a non denominational, full gospel approach to
the Bible, and it's based on the examples from the
Book of Actor Church, aiming to restore the priesthood of
the believer in regaining the world shaking influence of the
early Church. The church age isn't over. The Upper Room
(01:11):
experience is as much for today as it was on
the day of Pentecost. It's yours if you want it.
We offer the Word as the Apostles would have to
the Jewish and the gentile believers of their day. We
use both Yeshua and Jesus when speaking of the Lord.
We prefer the term Messiah rather than Christ, as it
(01:33):
more accurately reflects how he was referred to by those
who knew him. And we will provide definitions in Hebrew, Greek,
and Aramaic when it's necessary to what we're talking about.
Getting back to basics isn't just our motto, it's a
mandate from the Lord. Links all of our social media

Starting out, praise well, I have to praise the Lord
(02:37):
for my salvation. I wouldn't be here. I wouldn't have
my wife of almost forty six years. I wouldn't have
my family, my sons, my daughter in law, my grandchildren
are furry kids. Everything I have is because He saved
me and rescued me. So I praised him for that.
(02:57):
Praise him for his provision and protection. Over all of us,
for the dreams and the visions, for the divine health
and healing, for his divine abiding favor in this fallen world.
I praise Him for the continuing revelation of the Holy Spirit,
and for making me a new creation and allowing me
(03:21):
to live in and be a part of these prophetic times.
And because of that I have to pray. I have
to pray for the peace of Jerusalem Palm one twenty two,
verse six. As pray for the peace of Jerusalem, may
they prosper. Who loves you, I sincerely love Israel, love Jerusalem,
(03:42):
Love my Jewish brothers and sisters, because I know that someday,
when the King returns, that's where it'll happen. I pray
for America, that God would lead our leaders, that He
would protect us from our enemies, and that He would
forgive us and shed his grace upon us. I pray
for all the people in Iran, all of our Persian
(04:03):
brothers and sisters, a biblical people, and the soldiers that
are fighting to free them from this oppressive regime. That
God would answer their prayers however he desires to do it.
That evil would be defeated and righteousness would reign. I
pray for the fatherless, the widows, the persecuted, and the
(04:26):
martyrd the innocence and those who are victims of injustice.
I pray against the slaughter of the innocence, for the
I pray for the missing and exploited children, those that
have become victims of human sex trafficking, the boys, the
girls it's so disgusting to even think about. I pray
(04:49):
for our brothers and sisters around the world being persecuted
and slaughtered for their faith, their homes destroyed, their places
of worship destroyed, and for the most part, the world
doesn't seem to care. I pray against the growing religious
persecution that I just mentioned, and the anti Semitism and
(05:10):
the attacks on Israel, which is all a part of
the spirit of the antichrist effort to destroy any memory,
reference or indication of the Messiah. But as long as
the Church is here, that can happen because we will
stand against it. I pray for Divine holeness, health and
healing for me, for all of my needs, for my wife,
(05:33):
for all of you, for everyone that is struggling right now.
It seems to be that everybody I seem to know
personally has some kind of ailment or something going on.
Matter of fact, one of our original listeners to the Porch,
Chris and Hawaii, her husband Tim had to go in
(05:55):
for surgery on his spine to stop impending paralysis. So
I've been praying for Tim all day. If you could
pray for his recovery and for them and their home
and their farm animals to keep them safe from the enemy.
I pray protection. You know, that's Psalm ninety one covering
is available to all of us, and every morning I
(06:16):
prayed over my family, actually read Psalm ninety one out loud.
So Lord, I pray that for me and all the
listeners and everybody right now, that you would protect us,
and you would inspire us, and you'd give us long
life and blessings. I pray for the remnant, that's who
I speak to, that's who I'm a part of, that
(06:37):
they would be awake, they would be prepared to be
ready to be called into action, and for all the
open doors to all the projects and all the plans
and all the finances needed to fulfill the work of
the kingdom. So Father Abbah, Papa Daddy, thank you, thank
you for this day. Thank you for this time. Thank
(06:58):
you for the blood, thank you, thank you for your son,
thank you for loving us, redeeming us, and reconciling with us. Lord,
we thank you for being our savior, our King. We
ask for you to overshadow us right now with your
(07:18):
holy spirit, to teach us, to guardess, to guide us,
to cover us, and protect this technology. Let this word
go forth, Lord, let your will be done, and whatever
it is you want done this day on the porch,
and I pray all these things, and you show his name,
and if you agree with me, say amen.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
So we've been talking about end time, things about being
prepared for the end. We talked about the parable of
the Wise and Foolish Virgins and Matthew twenty five. And
I really thought that the next thing I was going
to take you to was the Ten Talents. And I
(08:42):
started working on that, and then the Lord stopped me.
And then I began to hear a phrase in my
head at the time of the end, which is in
Daniel mentioned I think five times, and I went to
do a teaching on that and stop me. And so
as this comes forth today, it's all It's going to
(09:05):
be all Lord, all Holy Spirit. And I may just
go off notes and let the spirit flow. More than
likely I have a strong sense that that's what will happen.
So be prayed up, have ears to hear, have eyes
to see what he's saying. We're going to look at
Matthew twenty five, verses thirty one through forty six. Some
(09:29):
of the Bible's chapters call it the Judgment of the Gentiles,
the judgment of the nations, the separation of the sheep
and the goats. Essentially, this is about the final separation.
And it was written four and spoken to a Jewish audience.
Remember that this is the Lord speaking to the disciples.
(09:53):
They are his audience, he's rabbi, he's teacher, they're the students.
So he's speaking to them in that context. And we
can never forget that this book of the Bible is
written by Jews, except for one Luke, but he was
(10:14):
a proselyte. He wanted to be Jewish without making the conversion,
he could go into parts of the Temple. This was
written to Israel, of which the Church has become part
of the story. And I know that that may bother
some people. And if that does, you're in the wrong place.
(10:37):
If you're one of those people that believes in replacement theology,
that the Church replaced Israel in God's plan as the
apple of his eye, you're in the wrong place. If
you think that Israel has no place in prophecy, or
that everybody right now are Christians, well, the Church of
the called out ones. And Paul makes it very clear
(10:58):
later on in Romans and Our I'll mention that scripture
that salvation was to the Jew first and the gentile
the Greek second. We are all one in regards to salvation.
So we have to remember that this particular section of
scripture was written by a Jew, Matthew Ford Jews, and
(11:22):
spoken by you Shuah as a Jew. And the themes
are it centers on final things eschatology, and his discord
starts with actually, I believe starts in chapter twenty three,
where with the criticism and the woes for the Pharisees
(11:43):
in Jerusalem for what's coming. And then it flows directly
into the signs of the end times, which began in
Matthew twenty four verse four. And then it follows with
warnings to be alert and if there's ever a warning
for the right now, stay alert, stay awake, do not
(12:05):
fall asleep, do not be caught a sleep. And so
we started out with the story about the bride'smaids, and
then he went into the Ten talents, and then he
went to the judgment of the nations. And what that
did was it highlighted the qualities for eternal inclusion or exclusion.
(12:36):
So remember Matthew twenty four, verse three. The disciples came
to him privately and says, when will these things be?
And he begins to tell them, we the church are
the audience too. Let's go to Matthew twenty five, verse
thirty one. When the Son of Man comes in his
glory and all the holy angels with him, then he
(12:58):
will sit on the throne of his glory. All the
nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate
them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep
from the goats, and he will set the sheep on
his right hand, and the goats on the left. And
then the King will say to those who are on
(13:19):
his right hand, come you, blessed of my father inherit
the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.
For I was hungry, and you gave me food. I
was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a
stranger and you took me in. I was naked and
(13:40):
you clothed me. I was sick and you visited me.
I was in prison, and you came to me. And
then the righteous will answer him, saying, Lord, when did
we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and
give you drink. When did we see you a stranger
and take you in, or naked and clothe you. Or
(14:02):
when did we see you sick or in prison and
come to you. And the King will answer and say
to them assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you
did it to one of the least of these, my brethren,
you did it to me. And then he will say
to those on his left hand, depart from me. You
(14:22):
cursed into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and
his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me
no food, I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink.
I was a stranger, and you did not take me
in naked, and you did not clothe me sick and
(14:43):
in prison, and you did not visit me. And then
they will answer him saying, Lord, when did we see
you hungry or thirsty, or stranger, or naked or sicker
in prison, and did not minister to you. So then
he will answer them, saying, assuredly, say to you, inasmuch
as you did not do it to one of the
(15:03):
least of these, you did not do it to me.
And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the
righteous into everlasting life. It's a very powerful section, and
it's called the Parable of the Sheep and the Goats,
but it's really not a parable. It's more of a
(15:27):
metaphor built around the message, the Lord's message of judgment
and salvation. It uses very figurative language, speaking of the
shepherd and the sheep and the goat, but the rest
is too literal to be taken as a parable. It
must be seen as a literal description of the final judgment. Now,
(15:52):
when the word nations comes up in the Hebrew Bible,
it's usually seen as implicitly meaning gent anyone who's not Jewish,
not of Israel. But what else could the nations mean
in this context? Will some think that it means all
(16:12):
the nations, including Israel, And there's a precedent for that,
because the nation of Israel is included in all the peoples,
nations and languages. Who will serve one like the Son
of Man in Daniel seven fourteen. But the problem is
that not just the Church, but the entire world, and
(16:33):
especially the Jews, have played the fool. They act ignorant
of these things. And in Act seventeen verses thirty and
thirty one, it says, truly these times of ignorance God overlooked,
but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He
(16:54):
has appointed a day on which He will judge the
world in righteousness by the man capital m whom he
has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all
by raising him from the debt. The spiritual ignorance right now,
(17:16):
not just in the world, but in the Church is
very troubling. As I watched the signs of the times
texting with somebody yesterday, watching the signs of the times politically, socially, financially, scientifically, spiritually,
all these signs that are blaring off, you know, like
(17:40):
if you've ever been to Times Square and you get
all these neon signs firing off to get your attention,
you have to step back and you have to look
at them all and see if there's a message. Is
there a cohesive theme, Is there something going on I
need to pay attention to. Well, God has overlooked the
ignorance of man up until the Cross, up until the Resurrection,
(18:06):
and they'll finally run out of time on the second coming.
So the message of keeping watch during our wait for
his return, of being fruitful, of using the talents he's
invested in us is important. We can't just sit back
(18:28):
on the porch with the drink in hand non alcoholic
of course, cup of coffee, I tea sweet tea if
you like it, Arnold Palmer to lemonade in to you,
whatever your drink is, and just watching the sky and
waiting for the Lord. We need to be wise, We
(18:48):
need to be ready. We can't be the foolish bridesmaids
who weren't ready, who should have known better. And we
need need to be using our time well, faithful stewards
took his investments and grew that in the church. And
(19:12):
I'm sorry if this is a little heavy and a
little serious, but through prayer and spiritual discernment, there's a
sense of seriousness in the air. The Matthew Henry Commentary
says that there is a judgment to come in which
every man shall be sentenced to a state of everlasting
(19:33):
happiness or misery in the world of recompense or retribution,
according to what he did in this world of trial
and probation, which is to be judged by the rule
of the everlescent Gospel verse thirty one. When the Son
of Man comes in his glory and all the Holy
(19:55):
angels with him, then he will sit on the throne
of his glory. What an entrance that will be coming
in with the train and the robes and the crown.
And remember those robes are dipped in the blood of
(20:16):
the martyrs. This will be a visual that the world
will never recover. From those of us that know him
and love him will be cheering, but for the world itself,
for those that are not written in the Lamb's Book
of Life. This is a serious moment. It's a glorious moment.
(20:37):
He calls himself the son of Man. It's a self designation.
It's one he uses more than any other. And it
comes from the Book of Daniel. The first time it's
seen is in Daniel seven thirteen. I was watching in
the night visions, and behold one like the Son of Man,
coming with the clouds of heaven. He came to the
(20:59):
Ancient of Days, and they brought him near before him.
The title son of Man occurs thirty times in the
Gospel of Matthew, and it stresses the exaltation of Yeshiah.
Speaker 2 (21:12):
Of the Lord.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
Now this expression is set up for us in Daniels
seven nine through ten. I kept looking until thrones were
set up in the Ancient of Days. Who is God?
The Father took his seat, and the garment was white
as snow. In the hair of his head like pure wool.
His throne was flames of fire. Its wheels were a
(21:36):
burning fire. A river of fire was flowing and coming
out from him, fire representing holiness and judgment. And thousand
thousands were attending him, and ten thousand times ten thousand
were standing before him, and the court was seated, and
(21:58):
the book was opened. I remember, the Lord, of course
is with him. And if you've ever seen any of
the images made by Pat Marvenko Smith, you see Yeshoe
on the throne and you see the Father behind him.
And the Book of Enoch it describes the throne room
with the Ancient of days and the Son of Man,
and very distinct in how they look, and very distinct
(22:20):
of what's going on the fire the Holy Spirit, the
fire of truth, the fire of his presence, and the
books were opened. So what are the books? The Book
of Judgment, which is a review of our actions and
the deeds in accordance with His justice. And the second
(22:44):
one is the Book of Life, which records the redeemed
in detail, which leads to rewards or punishments. Now we're
in the Lamb's Book of Life. Simply means yes, you're
in there, but all of your deeds, all of your mistakes,
all of your sins, everything you've ever said said is
(23:05):
under the blood. There's nothing to judge you with you
are partaking of His righteousness and his judgment. So this
section of scripture Matthew twenty five is a prophetic foundation
for understanding God's sovereignty and the final judgment. Again a
(23:25):
topic that although I see some speaking on the same
thing that I'm speaking on, and I don't listen to
or watch anyone else so that I'm not influenced by them.
The majority of the church doesn't want to talk about this.
This isn't a happy topic, This isn't a topic that
inspires an offering. So the opening of the books in
(23:47):
Daniel seven ten, it signifies divine judgment where God will
assess humanity's actions, primarily did you accept his son as Messiah?
Because they're the ones that are already condemned because they
rejected him, and will determine their eternal outcome. And so
the key attributes of the Son of Man one. He
(24:09):
has a messianic role. He's the redeemer and the judge,
tasked with executing divine justice, which means either you're forgiven,
you're free to go, or you're punished and you're staying
with us for a while. It's an attribute of righteousness.
He embodies the righteousness and the chosen of God, of
(24:33):
righteousness that we are partakers of because of grace. It
represents a divine authority granted by the Father to rule
and reign and judge because of his elevated status now
the ancient of days, God's unchanging and everlasting nature. It's
(24:55):
a final judgment. This is it. This is where the
Son either enters seeds for you or he points the
other way. And you know, I found interesting about going
to the right or to the left. Is there anywhere
else in the world that that the right means life
the left means death? And I don't know if they
(25:17):
took it from this or this was just natural. But
in Nazi Germany, when you came off the trains, if
the commandant pointed to his if the thumb went to
the right, you lived, and you went into the camp
and you worked. If they pointed to the left, you
went to the showers. So the Son of Man a
messianic figure who will judge the wicked and bring salvation
(25:41):
to the righteous. He's revealing himself as Messiah without directly
saying so. And who's coming with him? All the holy angels,
and I'll sit on the throne of his glory. It's
the second Coming. This is the Lord coming down with
the angels for the final judgment. And he's not coming
(26:03):
as the humble carpenter from Nazareth or as a meek
lamb sacrificial lamb. No, no, no, He's coming as the
king of kings and the Lord of lords, because he's
coming in all of his glory. And I believe that's
the message, that's the feeling, that's the concept. Now, as
(26:24):
I sat here and worked on this this morning, he
wants us to get Yes, he died for us. Yes,
he was meek as a lamb. He went to the slaughter,
didn't say a word. They nailed him to the cross.
He didn't rebuke them, He interceded for them. Those days
are gone when this event happens. The world has run
(26:47):
out of time. The Jews that are not saved and
made him messiah have run out of time. The gentiles
the rest of the world that have ignored him and
rejected him have run at a time. And they're banking
on the Book of Judgment by their actions, that they
(27:08):
will be redeemed, and they will not look at Revelation nineteen,
starting verse eleven, John says, John the Revelator says, now
I saw heaven opened and behold a white horse, kingly, gorgeous, beautiful,
And he who sat on him was called faithful and true,
(27:28):
and in righteousness he judges and makes war. His eyes
were like a flame of fire. And on his head
were many crowns. And when you think about the many crowns,
it's these crowns that have the certain shape that they
fit inside one another, and they're multi tiered. He had
a name written that no one knew except himself. He
(27:50):
was clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and his
name was called the Word of God. And the armies
in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed
him on white horses. They're coming for an event. This
is pageant, pageantry, this is glorious. Now out of his
(28:10):
mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it he should
strike the nations, and he himself will rule them with
a rod of iron. He himself treads the wine press
of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he
has on his robe and on his thigh a name written,
King of Kings and Lord of lords. In case you
(28:32):
don't know who he is, in case you don't recognize him,
it's right there. He's King of Kings and Lord of lords.
At this point, there's no defense, there's no negotiations, there's
no plea deals. I'm not trying to scare anybody into
the kingdom. But I'm also not going to warn you
(28:55):
of the cost to you or your family or whoever
that don't come in. And if you see everything that's
going on in the world, if you see everything that's happening,
and all the things I mentioned, politics, prophecy, the supernatural, spiritual,
all these amazing things happening simultaneously. The other day, a
(29:18):
man killed a tourist and injured a bunch of people
and killed himself on the one of the pyramids in
Tayo to Huacan in Mexico. I think that was on
the twentieth, to celebrate Hitler's birthday. The day before, a
man killed himself and his seven children. It's two blood sacrifices,
two days in a row. And over this last week
(29:39):
there's been a lot of bloodsheds, bilt parents killing children.
There's a ritualistic element to it that unless you can
see it, you're blinded to it. Something is going on,
there's something impending. The enemy is getting ready to make
his move. The Church has got to be ready to
(30:02):
make theirs. And the prophecy of the Second Coming of
Matthew sixteen, starting verse twenty seven, for the Son of
man will come in the glory of his Father with
his angels, and then he will reward each according to
his works. Assuredly, I say to you there is some
standing here who shall not taste death until they see
(30:23):
the Son of Man coming in his kingdom Luke nine
twenty six. For whoever is ashamed of me and my
words of him, the son of Man will be ashamed
when he comes in his own glory and in his
father's and of the holy angels, Father and Son, Ancient
of days, Son of Man, righteousness, holiness, glory. Second Corinthians five,
(30:49):
starting verse ten. For we that you and me in
the church, and everybody else, we must all appear before
the judgment seat of Messiah, that each which one may
receive the things which are done in the body, according
to what he has done, whether good or bad. Knowing
therefore that the terror of the Lord we persuade men.
(31:12):
But we are all well known to God, and I
also trust our well known in your consciouss. We're going
to stand before him, and when he looks there, it's
not going to be judging us by our sins, or
by by our actions, or by what we said, except
to give us our rewards to give us our crowns
and to give us those things that we get at
(31:33):
the end. But as far as judgment goes, we've been redeemed.
We've been redeemed from the sin, We've been redeemed from
the curse. We've been redeemed from an eternal death. So
all of these scriptures, all of these stories, they depict
(31:54):
a future judgment where the faithful will be rewarded and
the unjust are punished. And through it all what we
see is the sovereignty of Almighty God over human affairs,
and all nations will be gathered before him, and he
will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides
(32:16):
his sheep from the goats, and he will set the
sheep on his right hand and the goats on the left. Now,
some believe that this is just the all nations, this
is just the gentiles, or I believe it applies to everybody.
And to have a gentile perspective of prophecy and ignore
(32:41):
Israel is a part of this prophecy, including the final judgment,
is a mistake because the example of sheep and goats
comes from levitical law that both clean animals, but their
nature are different. Shepherds herded their sheep and their goats together,
(33:04):
but they would come a point when the two had
to be separated. Life application Bible Commentaries says, Jesus, you
sure A used sheep and goats to picture the division
between believers and unbelievers. Sheep and goats often grazed together,
but were separated at night because the goats needed a
(33:26):
warm shelter at night, their coats weren't nearly as thick,
while sheep preferred the open air. We see the same
separation of the wheat and the tears the weeds in
Matthew thirteen, where he talks about the final separation at
the last judgment. Matthew thirteen, starting verse twenty four. In
another parable, he put forth to them, saying, the Kingdom
(33:48):
of Heaven is like a man who sowed good seed
in his field, Though while men slept, the enemy came
and sowed terrors among the wheat, and went his way.
But when the grain had sprouted and produce the crop,
then the terrors also appeared. So the servants came to
the owner and said to him, sir, did you not
sew good seed in your field? How then does it
(34:11):
have terrs? And He said to them, an enemy has
done this. But the servants said to him, do you
want us then to go and gather them up? He
said no, lest while you gather the tears, you also
uproot the wheat with them. Let them both grow together
until the harvest. And at the time of the harvest,
I will say to the reapers, first gathered together the tears,
(34:35):
bind them in bundles and burn them. But gather the
wheat into my barn. So this great White Throne judgment
occurs at the conclusion of the Millennial age. I know
not all the commentaries will agree with me, but this
is how I've seen this, and you take with it
(34:56):
what you will. I believe the church goes to the
marriage sp for the lamb and the rapture. While that's happening,
the Antichrist is on the earth doing his thing. The
pit is opened, and everything in the pit comes out,
and they're doing their thing. And while we're celebrating, there
will come a time when the King will get up
(35:17):
and have to come down here. And he will come
with all the angels and all the saints behind him.
That's that great White Throne judgment. In Revelation twenty, this
is after the millennium, verse eleven. Then I saw a
great white throne in him who sat on it, from
whose the face of the earth and the heaven fled away,
and there was found no place for them. And I
(35:38):
saw the dead small a great standing before God. And
books were open, the same books we mentioned before, and Daniel,
and another book was open, which is the Book of Life.
And the dead were judged according to their works by
the things which were written in the books. The sea
gave up their dead who were in it, and Death
and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them,
(36:01):
and they were judged each according to his works. And
then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire.
This is the second death. And anyone not found written
in the Book of Life was cast into the lake
of fire. This judgment of sheep and goats at the
conclusion of the Great Tribulation, determines who is going to
(36:25):
enter the kingdom age and who won't. That lake of
fire means that's it for you. If that's where you're swimming,
you're done. Place of eternal torment created for Satan and
his angels, not designed for humanity. So based upon that,
(36:51):
the relationship between man us, men and women. However you
want to put it, I'm just gonna call it man.
Speaker 2 (36:59):
You managed it.
Speaker 1 (37:01):
To the Lord, to Messiah will be judged. And part
of that is how we treat not just one another,
but his brethren, who is Israel. Again, we can't separate
the two. And that's what there are voices inspired by
(37:24):
the spirit of the Antichrist trying to trick the church
into doing the save the sheep and to the kingdom
prepared for them. The lost, the goats are turned away
into final judgment in eternal punishment and the kingdom of
the final Age. After all of that is just for
(37:46):
the sheep, just for the righteous, just for those who
have been given life. Separating us one from another, you
know this inclusion concept, Oh, we're all equal. God loves everybody.
I don't even believe that when He killed everybody on
the earth except know and his family, that they were
(38:07):
all his. But the concept is, well, we're all made
in God's image and he loves everybody just as they are. Well,
if that was the case, the sheer wouldn't have had
to die, the blood wouldn't have been necessary. People will
get separated one from another, loved ones family, friends, people
(38:27):
that you care about will be pointed to the left.
Everybody's responsible for their own salvation. I have had family
members who believed that because they were of my family,
that my behavior, my service to the Lord being related
(38:49):
to me mattered, which I found complete foolishness. We're all
responsible for our own salvation, and when we stand before him,
there'll be no lawyer. It's just him reading from the
books and offering judgment. That's kind of about the You
(39:14):
look at the bridesmaids. The door was closed, there was
no negotiation, there were no pleas. Because the son of
man is both shepherd and judge. Then the king will
say to those on his right hand, come you bless them,
my father inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the
foundation of the world. You go to the King's right.
(39:38):
That's a position of honor. Sheep were more commercially viable
and valuable and goats. That's why they're the image of
God's people. They're also the image of God's people because
they're very stubborn at times, stupid animals. Though we'll walk
off a cliff looking for grass. Thankfully we have a
(40:00):
shepherd that will come looking for us. Before we do that.
And in this particular section of scripture, they are the
elect of God. They are God's chosen people, chosen for salvation,
the Jew first and then the gentile. Again, we cannot
(40:20):
believe that the Jews have been completely rejected, because I
know Jews who've gotten saved. I know Jews who have
accepted Yeshua as Messiah. They are born again. It's an individual,
case by case, person by person situation. And the kingdom
(40:42):
that he desired and intended was created for them before
the creation of the world. He always desired for this
to be this way, for us to have salvation, for
us to spend eternity with him. Matthew twenty four to
twenty two. Of those days, the days of tribulation, had
(41:04):
not been cut short, no human life would be saved.
But for the sake of the elect, God's chosen ones,
those days will be shortened. He loves us so much,
he loves them so much that he's going to cut
the time short. He's going to hit the buzzer in
the game before they can lose. So you know, in
(41:25):
Matthew twenty two, there's a parable of a wedding feast,
another important parable, another one about those that have been
invited and those that rejected. And even if you do
show up, you have to show up a certain way, yeah,
Matthew twenty two. The king prepares a wedding banquet, and
when it's ready, he sends his servants out to gather
(41:46):
the invited guests. And the invitation is ignored. So the
king tells his servants to go find all the guests
they can and to fill the banquet all when we
see in verse eight, and he said to his servants,
the wedding feast is ready, and the guests I invited
aren't worthy of the honor because they were too busy.
They didn't want to believe. They didn't I don't have
(42:07):
time for that, or I have to do this, or
I have to do that. Now go out to the
street corners and invite everyone you see. So the servants
brought in everyone they could find, good and bad alike.
In the banquet hall was filled with guests. But when
the king came in to meet the guests, he noticed
(42:29):
the man who wasn't wearing the proper clothes for a wedding.
And you know, when you got invited to these weddings,
not only would they dictate what you wore, they would
send it to you to make sure that you had it. Friend,
he asked, how is it that you are here without
wedding clothes? But the man had no reply. And the
(42:52):
King said to his aides, bind his hands and feet
and throw him into the outer darkness, where it would
be weeping and gnashing of teath. For many a call,
but few chosen. Many of the Jews are called, but
few will be chosen, because they did not accept his
(43:13):
invitation when he offered it. So he invited the Gentiles
in his place. But I believe some Jews did we
know they did? We know Peter did, and Paul did,
and Andrew and John and all the initial Jews that
built the foundation of the church, the foundation being Ishua.
But they're the ones that founded it. They're the ones
(43:34):
that did the work. I think that's why Paul had
to remind the church in Rome in Romans one sixteen,
I am not ashamed of the gospel of good News
of Messiah of Christ. It is the power of God
at work saving everyone who believes. The Jew first and
also the gentile. Later on in the Book of Romans,
(43:54):
he has to remind those that they didn't replace Israel.
That they've been rafted into the vine is the power
of God for salvation from his wrath and punishment to
everyone who believes in Messiah, in Yeshuah as savior to
the jew first and also the gentile, the Greek. So
(44:17):
I think part of what the Lord's been showing me
as i've worked on this, even now as I do this,
the biggest danger to the Church, as I've said over
the weeks, is from within. And one of the things
that's happening from within is this replacement theology, this rejection
of Israel, this rejection of the Jews. It's all Church,
(44:38):
all the time. And the Church is simply those that
have been called out, those that have been set apart
by Him. This kingdom which He intended since the beginning
of time, it is sure, and it is unchangeable, and
the inheritance has been God's plan from the very big
(45:01):
first thirty five. For I was hungry and you gave
me food. I was thirsty and you gave me drink.
I was a stranger and you took me in. I
was naked and you clothed me. I was sick and
you visited me. I was in prison, and you came
to me. So this list describes acts of mercy that
(45:21):
people can do every day. They're not dependent upon wealth,
or ability or intelligence. The simple acts freely given that
could be freely received. You don't have to have a
special talent. All you have to have is the heart
for it. So what you show is demanding from those
(45:43):
who are saved, those who are born again, those who
have accepted Him, is show me a sign of your salvation,
Show me your personal involvement in the caring for others'
needs as I did. Perc is a concrete action. It's
feeding the hungry, giving drink, welcoming the stranger, clothing the naked,
(46:08):
caring for the sick, visiting prisoners. This means, hey, I
care about you, and ye. Shue identifies himself with the
least of these, so that the treatment of vulnerable people
becomes a revealing test of our true relationship with him.
(46:30):
Discipleship is measured not by just by a confession or
a quote religious identity, but it is embodied by love,
a love that reaches the overlooked and the suffering. Henry
Ward Beecher says compassion will cure more sins than condemnation.
(46:53):
And this particular list is repeated four times in this parable,
indicating the importance of it as a guide for practical discipleship.
And it's not an exhaustive list. It just represents types
of good deeds, compassionate things that we can do. And
(47:15):
it's not teaching that salvation is based upon good deeds.
What it's saying is that the evidence of salvation comes
from the good deeds you do. John fourteen fifteen, he says,
if you really love me, you will keep and obey
my commandments. What commandments would that be, Lord? The one
(47:37):
I mentioned just previously. I am giving you a new
commandment that you love one another just as I have
loved you, so you too are to love one another.
That was in John thirteen thirty four. He tells them
what the commandment is. Then he reminds them, if you
really love me, you'll do this. Well. I gotta be honest.
(48:00):
In all the years I've been saved, I've seen some
love in the church. I've also seen a lot of
lack of love. I've seen a lot of people that
claim to be something that they were not. So the
key to understanding this and the other statements about love
is to know this love, that Greek work, a gape love,
(48:23):
unconditional love. It's not a matter of emotion. It's about action,
doing things for the benefit of another person, having an
unselfish concern for another individual, and a willingness to seek
the best for another. And that comes in preaching the gospel,
(48:44):
sharing the gospel, sharing with them what the Lord has
done for you. C. S. Lewis said, the rule for
all of us is fairly simple. Do not waste time
bothering whether you love your neighbor as if you did.
Actions speak louder than words. We need some more action.
(49:08):
We need some more love and action. We need some
more of the Church in action. We need less talk
and more walk. We don't need the show. We don't
need all the lights in the mirrors and the We
need doing it more. The simplicity of the gospel that
(49:29):
was when we saw signs and wonders, and the simplicity
of ministering the homeless in our home, love and compassion
and offering clothing, offering food, visiting them in jail, which
as they're pastor the pastor the homeless in that park,
I would go do. I would get the call you
(49:52):
want to see signs and wonders. Go where people need
signs and wonders. Because eighteen starting verse forces behold, as
his Lord speaking, Behold, all souls are mine. The soul
of the father, as well as the soul of the
son is mine. The soul who sins shall die. But
(50:12):
if a man is just and does what is lawful
and right, if he has not eaten on the mountains,
nor lifted his eyes up to the idols of the
House of Israel, nor defiled his neighbour's wife, nor approached
a woman during her impurity. If he has not oppressed anyone,
but has restored to the debtor his pledge, has robbed
(50:33):
no one by violence, but has given his bread to
the hungry and covered the naked with clothing. If he
has not exacted usury nor taken any increase, but has
withdrawn his hand from iniquity and executed true judgment between
man and man. If he has walked in my statutes
and kept my judgments faithfully, he is just. He shall
(50:57):
surely live, says the Lord God. The problem with that
is you can do all those things and still be
found wanting, because be without being born again, you can't
achieve those things. You can't do them from the heart
because the human heart, the unredeemed heart, is inherently wicked,
and he must change us from the inside out. If
(51:20):
the law was good enough, you sure would have had
to die the way he did. So here we have
in Matthew twenty five what's called deeds of mercy. There
were actually acts of compassion shown to the helpless, not
attempts to merit God's favor, but arose from our love
(51:43):
for the Lord. Our relationship with him brings compassion towards others.
That's what compassion is, sharing the suffering of another. If
you don't have compassion, if you're not moved to when
you see people suffering, you need to ask the Lord,
(52:04):
why why am I not moved by this? More than
likely your heart's been hardened. More than likely rejection or
failure or the hypocrisy of the church has caused you
to guard your heart, which is smart, because the Bible
tells us to guard our hearts because out of its
pro the spring the issues of life. But we can't
guard it so much and lock it up in a
(52:26):
boxer behind a wall that we can't love because He
loves Psalm eighty six fifteen. But you, o Lord, are
a god full of compassion and gracious, long suffering, and
abundant in mercy and truth. Many of the stories of
the Lord's miracles were proceeded by him being moved to
(52:49):
compassion for those in need. The healing of the leper
in Mark chapter one versus forty and forty one he
was moved to compassion, and he touched him. The feeding
of the five thousand in Matthew fourteen was because he
was moved to compassion that they were hungry. The raising
of the widow's son in Luke seven was because he
(53:10):
had compassion on her for her pain and her broken heart.
The healing of the blind man's eyes in Matthew twenty
it starts out with he was moved to compassion, and
that kind of compassion inspires us to be more like him.
Deal Moody says, he is a loving, tender hand full
(53:33):
of sympathy and compassion. The gospel itself is compassion in action.
And then the righteous will answer him, saying, Lord, when
did we see you hungry and feed you are thirsty
and give you drink? When did we see you a
stranger and take you in or naked and clothe you.
(53:53):
When did we see you sicker in prison and come
to you? When they acted selflessly to others. They did that,
but they didn't do it expecting to be recognized, which
is why they're shocked by his remarks. He's praising them
for their kindness, but they weren't doing it for points
(54:17):
on a balance sheet. They were doing it because they cared.
That's why they're genuinely surprised that the humility has been
seen by him and is being rewarded. No expectation of
reward or recognition. They served others at a sheer kindness
(54:39):
and responsibility. That's what we do when we have His heart.
Our actions reflect our faith and are meant to serve others,
not ourselves. True rewards come from God through quiet, selfless
kindness done in His name. They didn't set out to
(55:01):
earn brownie points with God. They simply saw a need
and responded, exemplifying living with love and generosity during his
se as time on earth. In his ministry, he very
clearly delineated as distinction between the righteous and the unrighteous.
(55:21):
The religious leaders of the day who presented themselves as
righteous based upon their adherence to the law and their
outward displays of piety, their signs of religion. He criticized them,
openly criticized their superficial approach, pointing to the importance of
(55:43):
genuine acts of love, genuine acts of compassion that are
reflected in this parable, which is a sign of relationship.
That's the choice. You can either have religion or you
can have relationship. And the time is coming when passion
for others and from others will be the key to survival.
(56:06):
In the end times, there will be a lack of
compassion and love for one another Matthew twenty four to twelve.
S will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many
will grow cold. Two Timothy three, starting verse one, the
amplified But understand this that in the last day's dangerous
(56:26):
times of great stress and trouble will come difficult days
that will be hard to bear for people will be
lovers of themselves. They'll be narcissistic, self focused, lovers of money.
They'll be impelled by greed, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful,
unholy and profane. And they will be unloving, devoid of
(56:50):
natural human affection, they'll be callous and in humane, irreconcilable,
malicious gossips, devoid of self control, in temperate, immoral, brutal
haters of good, traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of sensual pleasure
rather than lovers of God, holding to a form, an
(57:13):
outward form of godliness, which is religion, although they have
denied its power, for their conduct nullifies their claim of faith.
Avoid such people keep far away from them. With wickedness rampaging,
human affections be less and less evident. Acts of love
(57:37):
will be uncommon. Cold, callous hearts will be commonplace. Iniquity,
which is sin and a lack of love. Nuts for
each other but for the Lord are connected here and
they're a part of this life. People who are given
(57:59):
over to sin can love sacrificially or purely. They just
can't do it. And when the focus on satisfying our
lower urges, our base urges happen, they can't express higher emotions.
People who love their own bellies cannot love their neighbors.
(58:21):
They're too narcissistic and self focused. And people whose lips
profess they know God, but by their actions they deny him.
That's outward godless religion, stay away from them. The King
is watching now. Father, you are a serious Godness was
(58:46):
a serious message, and I pray that it's received. I
pray that your children have heard it, not just with
their ears, but with their heart. We're living in serious times,
but know this that your grace is still amazing. That
if at any time we failed you in any of
(59:06):
these things, we repent right now. And we ask you
to help us, Holy Spirit, to make it right, to
do what's right, to soften our heart, to take away
the wounds, to let us not only forgive, but to forget.
Inspire us to be able to go and do these
(59:27):
things and show the world, Hey, they've been with Jesus,
move through us, change us, help us to bring in
the sheaths. And I pray all these things, and you
show his name, and if you agree with me, say amen.
(59:52):
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the
Lord make his face to shine upon you, be gracious
to you. May the Lord lift up his countenance upon
you and give you peace. Give you Shallom. I'm Richard Grund.
