Speaker 1 (00:20):
Hello, I'm Richard Grund. Welcome to the Porch on Firefall
Talk Radio. This is where you find the uncompromised read
letter basics of the Word of God. We focus on
the Book of Actor Church, the purest, most effective form
of the Church, to see how they serve the Lord.
(00:40):
When we do that, we find the Church the Lord
intended and not the one Man created. The Porch is
a non denominational, full gospel approach to the Bible. It's
based on the examples from the Book of Actor Church,
and it aims to restore the priesthood of the believer
and gain the world's shaking influence that the early Church had.
(01:04):
The Church age isn't over of the Upper Room experience
is as much for today as it was on the
day of Pentecost. It's yours if you want it. We
offer you the Word as the Apostles would have to
the Jewish and gentile believers of their day, using both
Yashilah and Jesus. When speaking of the Lord, we prefer
(01:26):
the term Messiah rather than Christ. Does it more accurately
reflects how he was referred to by those who knew him. Additionally,
we provide definitions in Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic when necessary.
Getting back to basics isn't just a motto. It's a
mandate from the Lord, and we intend to honor it.
(01:47):

being a part of the porch. Contact us if you
need prayer, Remember that we care about you and there
are people that want to pray for you. Start out
with praise. I praise Him for my salvation. I praise
him for his love, his grace, and his mercy, for
(02:30):
my home, for giving me back my wife and my family.
And now we have sons and daughter in laws and
grandchildren and furry kids. And everything we have is because
of the Lord. I praise him for his provision and
protection over each and every one of us, for the
dreams and the visions that He's given us as we
(02:51):
live out Joel to twenty eight. I praise him for
divine health and healing that's available to us through his word,
through his promises, which are yes and amen. I praise
him for his divine abiding favor, for the continuing revelation
of the Holy Spirit, and for making me a new
creation and allowing me to live in these prophetic times.
(03:17):
Let's pray. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. May they prosper.
Who love you Someone twenty two Verse six admonishes us
to pray for Jerusalem, And I do pray for my
Jewish brothers and sisters. I pray for their leadership. I
pray for their protection from their enemies. I pray for
America for its leadership, for Him to protect us and
(03:40):
to forgive us to share his grace upon us. I
pray for the people in the Middle East, Iran and
the other places that are being attacked, that He would
set them free, that he would hear their cries, and
that he would answer them. I pray for the fatherless,
the widows to persecute it in the martyr, the poor
and spirit, the bound, the oppressed, the innocence, and those
(04:02):
who are victims of injustice. I pray against the slaughter
of the innocence. I pray for missing and exploited children,
the victims of human sex trafficking, for everything that's been
done to them to be healed, and for the people
that did it to be exposed and brought to justice.
I pray for our brothers and sisters around the world
(04:26):
being slaughtered and persecuted for their faith in Yeshua. I
pray against the growing religious persecution of the Church and
the anti Semitism against our Jewish brothers and sisters, which
we know is the effort of the spirit of the Antichrist.
So let's pray against it. Let's stand against it. I
(04:49):
pray for divine holness, health and healing in you and
in me and all those that need it, that we
would get back to our divine design, for his protection
and his inspiration for the remnant to wake up and
answer the call for the doors to open, all the
projects and plans that he has for his kingdom and
(05:09):
the finances to go with it. So, Father Aba, in
the name of your son and the name of your
shihamashiak Jesus the Messiah, we come to you. We boldly
approach the throne of grace and mercy. We thank you.
We thank you for loving us. We thank you for
saving us. We thank you for redeeming us. Lord, we
(05:32):
thank you for the cross, all that you endured, all
that you allowed to happen to you so that we
could be free. We're thankful that you are a risen savior,
and that in sitting next to the Father, you sent
back the Holy Spirit to walk with us, to teach us,
to guide us. So, Lord, have your way, do whatever
(05:54):
it is you want to do this day. Let this
word go forth, Let it do what you desire to do.
And I pray all these things, and your shoe is
now amen.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
All right, I apologize ahead of time for the quality
of the audio. The main microphone that we have here
suddenly decided not to work, so I'm doing this through
my AirPod. Keep going, we adapt, We're still talking about
when the days are evil. We're gon We're going to
wrap it up here because we're still in the armor
(07:09):
of God. We're going to be talking about prayer, but
it all traces back to Ephesians five fifteen and sixteen.
See then, that you walk circumspectfully, not as fools, but
as wise redeeming the time. Because the days are evil.
This should be a word that resonates inside of us.
(07:35):
See that we walk carefully, living life with honor, purpose
and courage, shunning those who tolerate and enable evil, not
as the unwise, but as wise, sensible, intelligent, discerning people,
making the very most of our time on earth, recognizing
(07:57):
and taking advantage of each opportunity, using it with wisdom
and diligence. Because the days are filled with evil. Paul
was communicating a sense of urgency because of evil's effectiveness
and pervasiveness. And I am too. This is a part
(08:18):
of what I've been called to do. I watch, I pray,
I intercede. Sometimes I go to war with these things,
depending upon what the captain of the host says. But
I am seeing a pervasiveness of evil and an increase
(08:38):
in demonic activity and the power and the effectiveness of it,
more than I've ever seen before. So let's redeem the time,
And that involves resistance against the enemy. There is no downtime.
The Lord has given us the tools to do that,
(08:59):
and we find them Ephesians six, studing with verse ten. Finally,
my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the
power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God,
that you may be able to stand against the wiles
of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh
(09:20):
and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers
of the darkness of this age, against spiritual host of
wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole
armor of God, that you may be able to withstand
in the evil day. And having done all to stand,
(09:43):
stand therefore, having girded your waste with truth, having put
on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet
the preparation of the Gospel of Peace. Above all, taking
the shield of faith, with which you'll be able to
quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And
take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit,
(10:05):
which is the Word of God. Praying always with all
prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to descend
with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints and
for me. Paul says that utterance may be given to me,
that I may open my mouth boldly to make known
(10:27):
the mystery of the Gospel. And I pray that for
myself as well. Pauled ministry was strategic warfare for the
Kingdom of God. It was warfare against the kingdom of darkness,
and it included close reigned battle, advancing into the enemy's ranks,
(10:48):
carrying down strongholds, and setting the captives free. Paul took
the tools that were given to him by the Lord,
and he boldly entered the enemy's camp. So right now
we're talking to Fesians six starting verse eighteen and verse nineteen,
(11:08):
praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit,
being watchful to descend with all perseverance and supplication for
all the saints and for me, that utterance may be
given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly
to make known the mystery of the Gospel. The Life
Application Bible Commentary says this verse, although not naming another
(11:32):
weapon in the believer's armor, does continue the thought of
verse seventeen. As we take the sword of the Spirit
God's word. We must also pray in the spirit on
all occasions. Praying in the Spirit means that the Spirit
helps us when we pray, and the Spirit prays on
(11:55):
our behalf, and we see that in Romans eight, verses
twenty six and twenty seven. Likewise, the Spirit also helps
in our weaknesses, for we do not know what we
should pray for as we ought, But the Spirit himself
makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now,
(12:17):
he who searches the heart knows what the mind of
the Spirit is. Because he capital h makes intercession for
the saints according to the will of God. He the
Holy Spirit, makes intercession for the saints through us according
to the will of God. And the Spirit of God
(12:40):
makes that excessible to us. Ephesians two, starting verse seventeen.
And he came and preached the good news to you
gentile who were far away. And he being is sure
in peace to those Jews who are near, for it
is through him we both have a direct way of
approach in one spirit to the Father. I don't need
(13:04):
to go through a man. I don't need to pray
to a woman. I don't need to talk to an
idol or a statue or something hanging on the wall.
I have direct access to God in the Throne room
through the Lord. That confidence comes from the Holy Spirit
Romans eight, verse fifteen. For you have not received a
(13:29):
spirit of slavery, leading again to fear of God's judgment.
You have received the spirit of adoption as sons and daughters,
by which we joyfully cry, Abba, Father, who spirit himself
testifies and in friends together with our spirit, assuring us
(13:50):
that we believers are children of God. Try that Abba Father, Papa,
cry out to him. Seek him as your father, not
but Father, who aren't Heaven hallowed be your name. You
come to him as a child. And the Holy Spirit
(14:13):
inspires us and guides us when we pray, and he
helps us communicate with God and also brings God's response
to us. Now, when speaking of this warfare, I've never
treated it trivially. We must not underestimate Satan's forces in
(14:34):
the Kingdom of Darkness. They will strike in different ways
at different people. Thus we need to pray all kinds
of prayers, allowing for all kinds of requests. Satan will
attack at various times, and his army will attack at
various times. But he will always. They will always be
(14:58):
attacking someone, and believe it need to be praying always
because that attack will come when we least expect it.
We need to be alert to prayer needs when it arises.
When the spirit says, hey, pray for so and so,
or somebody suddenly comes to mind, you have to stop.
You have to say, Lord, what is it you want
(15:18):
me to do? And pray. And the enemy will rarely
let up if he thinks that he can win the battle.
So we must keep praying no matter how long it takes. Believe.
His Bible commentary says prayer is not mentioned as a
part of the armor, but we should not underestimate its importance,
(15:42):
as it's the atmosphere in which a soldier must live
and breathe. It is the spirit in which we don
the armor and face the foe. You put in on
that army. You're going to pray, pray as you're doing it,
pay as you're doing it. Goes on to say, prayers
(16:03):
should be continual, not sporadic, a habit, not an isolated act.
Then to the soldiers should use all kinds of prayer, public, private, deliberate,
spontaneous supplication, intercession, confession and humiliation, praise and thanksgiving on
your knees, lying in your bed, standing on your feet.
(16:26):
And prayers should be in the spirit, inspired by and
led by him. Formal prayers recited in a ritual and
merely wrote meanings. You're doing it without giving any thought
to their meeting. It's just werepetitive words. Believe me, I
(16:48):
know what those are. I was trained in those throughout
elementary school, high school, and college. What value do they
have in combat against a host of hell? There must
be vigilance and prayer, so I says watchful to this end.
We must watch against drownsiness, mind wandering, preoccupation with other things,
(17:12):
anything the enemy will send to disrupt that. Prayer and
prayer requires spiritual keenness, alertness, and concentration. And most of all,
there must be perseverance in prayer. We keep on asking, seeking,
and knocking. That's what the Lord said and Luke eleven nine.
(17:37):
So I say to you, ask and keep on asking,
and it'll be given to you. Seek and keep on seeking,
and you will find. Knock and keep on knocking, and
the door will be open to you. Now, I know
there's some people out there teaching just pray your prayer
and let it go God, God it, He knows what
(17:57):
you want. That's not what the lords says. Keep asking,
keep seeking, keep knocking, keep praying, and that supplication should
be made for all the saints, all the believers, because
they're engaged in a battle too. They're in a conflict too.
They're going through something right now, so we need to
(18:21):
support them in prayer as brothers and sisters and fellows
soldiers in this warfare. They may have gotten a bad report,
something may have happened, and now they've lost a bunch
of money, or somebody has left them, and all these
things are happening. The enemy's using every possible means to
(18:43):
disrupt the kingdom right now. One of the attacks I'm
seeing a frequent use by the enemy is finances. So
when you pray, pray for the finances of your brothers
and sisters, Pray for the for the blessings to come through.
Pray for Jehovah Jira to be their provider. And now
(19:05):
what the enemy stole, he replaces sevenfold. The New Living
Translation Study Bible says Paul contrasts purely mental prayer with
prayer in the spirit prayer that arises from the Holy
Spirit of God within us one Corinthians fourteen fifteen. What
is the conclusion, Then, I will pray with the spirit,
(19:30):
and I will pray with understanding. I will sing with
the spirit, and I will sing with understanding. It's all
well and good and wonderful to be filled with the
Holy Spirit and to have the manifestations of the gifts
of the Spirit. But you need to have both the
spirit and understanding. And it took a little while. But
(19:51):
even when I pray in the spirit, I know what
I'm saying. When I sing in the spirit, I hear
what I'm singing in my spirit. It may not come
out in English, but I know what's being said. Jude
verses twenty and twenty one says, but you, beloved, building
up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the
(20:12):
Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking
for the mercy of our Lord Jesus the Messiah unto
eternal life. Many people struggle because they're praying in their
own strength, they're praying with their own thoughts, they're praying
in their own mind. They're not praying in the Holy Spirit.
(20:36):
At all times and on every occasion. It needs to
be a way of life. Prayer to a believer is
a way of life. If you do that, you'll turn
your entire life into prayer. Won't matter where you are,
in your car, at the gym, in the shower, doesn't matter.
(20:58):
You'll be ready to pray, and you'll be ready to
do it first. Thessalonians five seventeen says, pray without ceasing.
If the spirit starts it, you pray until the Spirit
ends it, until He releases you from it. Because again,
you're not praying just for yourself. You're praying for all
(21:18):
believers everywhere, all of God's Holy people, all of His saints.
And stay alert and be persistent, because the danger of
the devil is constant. Praying always with all prayer and
supplication in the spirit, being watchful to this end, with
all perseverance and supplication for all the saints. Supplication said twice,
(21:44):
praying always. That means in the Greek, every season, including
every opportunity. We see that Colossians four, starting verse two,
continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving. Meanwhile,
praying also for us that God would open to us
the door for the Word to speak the mystery of Messiah,
(22:06):
for which I am also in Chaine, that I may
make it manifest as I ought to speak. Just came
to me. I'm going to ask you pray that for me,
that he opens the door for me to preach the word,
that he takes me back where he planted me to
(22:27):
spread the gospel. Whether it's in the entertainment industry with
doesn't matter. Where it is everywhere that I've ever been,
anywhere that anybody knows me, anywhere that I've encountered the
enemy and done them damage, that he would open the
door for me to preach the word, to set the
captives free to take what we do here and now
(22:52):
on the road New York, California, Georgia, Alabama, Portugal, Italy.
Doesn't matter, not because I want to be glorified, not
because I want the accolades, but because I want to
do damage to the kingdom of darkness. Now Paul uses
(23:13):
words in that statement, that very statement I just read
to you from Luke twenty one thirty six. Who uses
issue his word, which is what we should use. The
Lord said in Luke twenty one, verse thirty six. Watch
therefore and pray always that you may be counted worthy
to escape all these things that will come to pass,
(23:35):
and to stand before the sun of man. Of course,
he's talking about the signs of the end times. Watch, therefore,
are you watching? Are you seeing what's going on in
the Middle East? Are you seeing what's happening here in America?
Are you seeing what's going on in your city and
your schools all around you? Then pray. Stop moaning and groaning,
(24:00):
Stop thinking that natural solutions will have anything to do
with it. Pray first, spiritual first, natural. Second. What did
the Lord tell us in Luke eighteen starting verse twenty one?
And I like the introduction of Luke Gibbs, And then
(24:21):
he spoke of parable to them that men always ought
to pray and not lose heart. You could have stopped
right there, and that's the best message in the world.
But then he gives us the Lord's parable. There wasn't
a certain city of judge who did not fear God
nor regard man. Now there was a widow in that city,
(24:46):
and she came to him, saying, get justice for me
from my adversary. And he would not for a while.
But afterward he said to himself, though I don't fear God,
nor regard man. Yet, because this widow troubles me, I
will avenge her, lest her continually coming. She wearied me,
(25:06):
And the Lord said, here what the unjust judge said?
And shall God not avenge his own elect who cry
out day and night to him? Though he bears along
with them. I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless,
when the son of Man comes, will he really find
faith on the earth? Pray, knock, seek, you got somebody
(25:32):
in your familiess, not say that you love dearly and
you don't want to see them burn in the lake
of fire. Keep knocking, keep seeking, Pray for him to
send somebody to them. Pray for the scales to fall
off of their eyes. Pray for dreams and visions, an
angelic visitation, whatever it will take. I know it took
(25:52):
time for me to say. I know that he had
people praying for me, my wife, Pastor Shelley, the people
at the church. Lord told me he had people didn't
even know who I was praying for me, some elderly woman.
Speaker 3 (26:07):
That he would wake up in the middle of the
night to pray for somebody she didn't know. Hit the
enemy from all sides. Moza that hit me. I felt that.
Speaker 1 (26:22):
We need to hit the enemy from all sides, to
always pray and not lose heart, to believe that he
is as good as his word that it promises O
yea and amen. And to love one another. To do
this in love Romans twelve thirty, verse ten, Be kindly
(26:43):
affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor, giving
preference to one another, not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit,
serving the Lord, rejoicing in hope, patient and tribulation, continuing
steadfastly in prayer, distributing to the needs of the saints,
(27:07):
given to hospitality. Can we do that? Can we be
devoted to one another with authentic layo brotherly affection as
members of one family? Can we give preference to one
another in honor as members of the family of God,
(27:29):
never lagging behind in diligence, a glow in the spirit,
burning in the spirit, enthusiastically serving the Lord, constantly rejoicing
in hope because of our confidence in Messiah, steadfast and
patient in distress, devoted to prayer, continually seeking wisdom, guidance,
(27:56):
and strength, and contributing to the needs of God's people,
pursuing the practice of hospitality. Now we know those are
the truit of the Spirit, which means the Holy Spirit
brings that with all prayer, every kind of prayer, prayer
(28:17):
in general. But it's mentioned supplication, which is a special
kind of prayer. It's an imploring request, general prayers obtaining blessing.
Supplication is deeper, much deeper. It's heartfelt, it's praying for
(28:39):
a loved one. I'm sure it's the prayers that were
offered for me in my demonically bound state. Supplication crying
out to God. The Vine's Complete expository dictionary of Old
and New Testament Words explains supplication primarily a wanting and
(29:02):
a need, an entreaty. It's addressed to God. And we
know that God hears our prayers and he acts accordingly
in his will on our behalf. We see that in
Luke chapter one, when Zacharias is praying and an Angel
(29:26):
of the Lord appeared to him, starting verse eleven, standing
on the right side of the offer of incense. And
when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled and fear fell
upon him. But the angel said to him, do not
be afraid, Zacharias, for your prayers heard and your wife Elizabeth,
will bear you a son, and you shall call his
(29:48):
name John, and you will have joy and gladness, and
many will rejoice at his birth. It was in God's
plan for John the Baptist to be born and to
answer Zacharias's prayer. Look at the prophetess Anna in Luke
chapter two, starting he was thirty six. After the story
(30:11):
about the man who was waiting at the temple every
day for the Messiah, there was also a prophetess Anna,
the daughter of Noel of the tribe of Asher. She
was very old, having lived with her husband seven years
from her maidenhood, and had been a widow for eighty
(30:31):
four years, so she was only married for seven years,
but she'd been a widow now for eighty four years,
and she did not go out from the temple enclosure,
was worshiping night and day with fasting and prayer. And
she too came at the same hour as Simeon and
Mary and Joseph and the child, and she would returned
(30:54):
thanks to God and talked of Yashua to all who
was seeking and looking for the redemption and the deliverance
of Israel or answered prayer became a point of evangelism
and witness. We never know what effect our prayers have.
(31:22):
We don't know. Those people praying for my salvation had
no sense that the Lord would call me into the
family business. They had no sense of what I would
do with SRT or all of the hundreds of multiple
hundreds of deliverances I did. And people got set free.
(31:43):
Their prayers for me to get saved became a point
of evangelism and witness for the kingdom. So we never
know what's going to be the outcome of our prayers.
Philippians one, starting verse three, I thank my God upon
every remembrance of you, always in prayer of mind, making
requests for you all the joy for your fellowship and
(32:06):
the Gospel, from the first day until now, being competent
of this very thing, that He who has begun a
good work in you will complete it until the day
of Jesus the Messiah. So prayer is a dialogue between
God and his covenant partners, us, who through salvation are
(32:28):
His redeemed children. You are a child of God. You
have a right to boldly approach the throne of grace
and mercy in your hour of need, to talk to
your heavenly Father to seek the blessings of the Lord
and the King. We're in his kingdom. Now, Lord gives
(32:48):
us an example of a prayer of supplication, first for
the disciples and then those that come after him. It's
in John seventeen, and it's rather long, so bear with me.
I was going to pick and choose, but the spirit
wouldn't let me do that, so I'm just going to
read it as it is. Starting verse six, John seventeen,
(33:10):
I have manifested your name to the men whom you've
given me. Out of the world is praying to the Father.
They were yours. You've given them to me, and they
have kept your word. Now they have known that all
things which you have given me are from you. For
I have given to them the words which you have
given me, and they have received them and have known
(33:32):
surely that I've come forth from you, and they have
believed that you sent me. Verse nine very important to
pay attention here. I pray for them. I do not
pray for the world, but for those whom you have
given me, for they are yours. You might want to underline,
(33:54):
I do not pray for the world, and all mine
are yours, and yours are mine, and I'm glorified them.
Now I am no longer in the world, but these
are in the world, and I come to you, Holy Father.
Keep for your name those whom you have given me,
that they may be one as we are. While I
(34:15):
was with them in the world, I kept them in
your name. Those whom you gave me I have kept,
and none of them is lost, except the son of tradition,
which is judas the scripture might be fulfilled. But now
I come to you in these things, I speak in
the world that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
(34:38):
I've given them your word, and the world has hated
them because that they are not of the world, just
as I am not of the world. I do not
pray that you should take them out of the world,
but that you should keep them from the evil one.
They are not of the world, just as I am
not of the world. Sanctify them by you truth. Your
(35:01):
word is truth. As you sent me into the world,
I have also sent them into the world, and for
their sakes I sanctify myself, that they may be sanctified
by the truth. He's sending them into a world that
he knows is under the control of the wicked one,
the evil one who got to Judas. Now he's asking
(35:26):
them watch over them, because they're taking everything you've given
me and I've given them into a world that wants
to destroy them. And he makes it clear he's not
praying for that unsaved world. He's praying only for the
present and future to believers to come. Because he picks
(35:49):
it up on verse twenty, I do not pray for
these alone, but also for those who will believe in
me through their world, that they may all be one
as you Father are in me, and I knew that
they also may be one in us, that the world
(36:10):
may believe that you sent Nate. Do you see it.
I do not pray for these alone. It's not for
their sake that I pray that I make this a request,
but also for all of those you and me and
everyone that you know that it's a believer that will
ever believe in trust in him through their message, that
(36:34):
we would all be one, just as the Father and
the Son are one, just as the Father was in
the Son, that we would be one in them, and
the world would believe without any doubt that you're sure, Amasia,
Jesus the Messiah was sent by the living God, He's
(36:58):
interceding for the Church. Did you see it? Did you
pick up on it? After everything I've said about prayer,
did you see he was interceding for the Church to come.
And his word does not return void. It became a
(37:19):
declaration into the spirit realm. And we see the first
fruit of that in Acts one, verse twelve. Then they
returned to Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, mount of
all of that which is near Jerusalem, Sabbath Day journey.
(37:40):
And when they had entered, they went into the upper
room where they were staying Peter, James, John, and Andrew,
Philip and Thomas Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus,
sometimes called James the Lesser, James the Younger, and Simon
the Zealot, and Judas the son of James. These all
(38:01):
continued in one accord in prayer and supplication with the
women and marry the mother of Yeshua, and with his
brothers James and Jude. So what's the first act of
the church brearan supplication? And what does that do that
brings the Holy Spirit On the day of Pentecost, this
(38:26):
is passed down to Paul by the Holy Spirit. We
see that in Romans twelve, verses eleven and twelve, never
lag and zeal and in earnest endeavor, be a glow
and burning with the spirit serving the Lord. Rejoice and
exult and hope, be steadfast and patient and suffering, and tribulation,
be constant in prayer. The Church was born through divine supplication.
(38:54):
It's in our spiritual DNA. Know what happened in the
upper room. They were praying, They were all in one
accord in one place. Boom, the Holy Spirit falls. They
still out, and Peter gives his message. Look at Acts
chapter two, verse forty one. And then those who gladly
received his word were baptized, and that day three thousand
(39:17):
souls were added to them. And they continued steadfastly in
the apostles, doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread,
and in prayers. So this prayer, this supplication, this thing
that the enemy does not want us to do, it's
(39:39):
in the spirit. It's joined with the Holy Spirit given
to us through the spirit of adoption. And it's through
the spirit that it enables us to pray. But you
did not receive. I'm going to read this to you again.
The spirit of a bondage again to fear. But you
(40:00):
received the spirit of adoption, by whom we cry out
Abbah Father. The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit
that we are children of God. And if children, then heirs,
heirs of God and joint heirs with Messiah, if indeed
we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified together.
(40:23):
So Paul was trying to get across in Roman's aid.
The Spirit comes to our aid. He bears us up
in our weaknesses. We don't know how to pray, We
don't know how to offer anything, We don't know how
to put any words together. So the Spirit himself puts
our supplication out there, pleads on our behalf with unspeakable
(40:44):
yearnings and groanings too deep, brother, and not even words,
the groanings that coming from inside of you. And he
who searches the hearts of men know what the mind
of the Holy Spirit, what is intent is, and the
spirit and the seeds and pleads before God in behalf
of the saints, according to and in harmony with God's will.
(41:05):
When I was praying for my cousin Bobby, interceding, praying, pleading, weeping,
all of a sudden my heavenly language came forth, and
then I would go home and lay on the floor
in my apartment. Just dawned on me. I don't know
what the people downstairs heard or felt, crying out to
(41:28):
God to save him, to not let him die. But
he took him home and took him out of that
broken body. The spirit was helping me pray, gave me
the words to say when leading him to the Lord,
so that I know that Bobby is with the Lord.
I got to see in a vision him stepping over
(41:49):
into eternity. Let it loose, let it go. Just pray,
and he understands us. Oh my gosh, does he understand us?
Even David understood that Psalm one nine, just one verses
(42:09):
one through three. Oh Lord, you have searched me and
known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up.
You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path
and my lying down, and you are acquainted with all
my way. There's nothing he doesn't now. We can't fool him,
(42:32):
we can't shock him. Trust him that you beloved, build
yourselves up, found it on your most holy faith, Make
progress rise like an edifice, higher and higher, and praying
in the Holy Spirit at the amplified version of Jude twenty.
Praying builds you up, It edifies, makes you bigger, makes
(42:54):
you feel bigger, takes that head that's down and raises
it up. That's why you pray according to the word.
That's why you pray with the word. And you know
when you repeat the word back to God, and you
will repeat promises doctor God. You're not reminding him of anything.
You're reminding yourself of what the Word says. And your
(43:16):
spirit man or woman receives it gets stronger by it
feeds off of it. The Homean Bible Dictionary says the
irony is a prayer evident God knows our needs. Yet
we must ask. God is ready to answer. Yet we
must patiently persist. Children of the kingdom will have their
(43:38):
request heard. And that's what the Lord said in John
fourteen thirteen, What if you ask in my name that
I will do that the Father may be glorified in
the son. John was there, he heard him say it,
and then he wrote it verse John five point fourteen.
Now this is the confidence that we have in him,
(43:59):
that if we asked anything according to his will, he
hears us and Hebrew thought the name was mysteriously linked
to a person's character and prerogatives, it was representative of them.
So therefore, prayer in the name of your shoe in
the name of Jesus is prayer that is seeking his
(44:20):
will and is submissive to his authority. He knows the
end from the beginning. If he lets something happen, he
knows why he's done, and he knows what's coming. He
may take somebody out of your life to protect you.
He may stop a direction you're going in because he
knows the enemy's setting you up, and he knows what
(44:43):
at the end of that path.
Speaker 4 (44:45):
Can we trust him? Can we stop complaining? Can we
stop oh woe is me? And just have childlike faith
Matthew thirty, verse twenty one.
Speaker 1 (44:56):
The Lord says, surely, I say to you, if you
have faith and do not doubt, you will not only
do what was done to the fig tree, but you
will also say to this mountain, be removed and be
cast into the sea. It will be done. And whatever
you ask in prayer, believing you will receive if it
(45:18):
furthers the kingdom, if it glorifies him, if it's for
our betterment, We're going to receive it. And conversely, because
he loves us so much. If it isn't for the kingdom,
if it doesn't glorify him or a turtful to us,
he's not That's why we pray on every occasion, in
(45:44):
every season. That's what that means, in all seasons, all
the time, doesn't matter what it is, sun or rain,
or doesn't matter what's going on. Prayer is needed in
this fight. We're talking about the armor of God. God yes,
is necessary, but so is prayer. And without prayer, all
(46:05):
the armor in the world would be of no use.
That's why we're always praying general prayer, specific petitions in
the spirit, made for all believers on all occasions. Perseverance
and patience and prayer are essential. And I find that
(46:27):
people I can't be patient or perseverance prayer, I've quit trying.
They've never made it past that early stage. It's like
exercise them. When somebody used to come into the gym
and I would teach them how to work out on
the machines. I would tell them, give yourself a month,
(46:48):
just a month. At the end of that first month,
not only would you understand these things machines better and
how your body works but you'll start to see results,
and that will motivate you to keep going prayers the
same way. Don't quit well, I prayed, He didn't answer,
grow up. I'm sorry. I know that's harsh. Deep praying.
(47:13):
Do what the Word says, do, and Paul makes it
specific for him verse nineteen, that utterance may be given
to me, that I may be He's What he's saying
is that I may be able to speak the word,
open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of
the Gospel, because we're not just fighting our enemy for
the sake of fighting. We're doing it to set the
(47:35):
captives free. And Paul was not ashamed to ask believers
to pray for him that he would have the courage
to proclaim the gospel, that even as a prisoner in chains,
he could still be a faithful witness for the Lord.
This prayer, this supplication is special. It's in the sphere
(48:01):
of the Spirit. It's in the atmosphere of the Holy Spirit,
which means it's directed and empowered by Him. The Expositive
Study Bible puts it this way. This great requirement of
standing ready for the combat to be made good only
(48:21):
when prayer constant earnest spiritual prayer is added to the
careful equipment with all the parts of the panopoly. Every
fool that has been given watch and being watchful, don't
fall asleep. And now with the Lord asked the disciples
(48:43):
in the garden, be watchful, don't fall asleep, keep awake,
be attentive, be vigilant, because you know the minu you
go to sleep, that's when the enemy's going to move.
You know, you can pray in your sleep. You can
ask the Holy Spirit, you can talk to your spirit.
(49:04):
Man a woman. You say, even though my flesh is sleeping,
you're still awake. You're on point, you're praying, you're vigilant. Well,
can't be listless or blind to what's going on. That's
what the enemy waits for. But if you can lock
and load like this, you're going to frustrate the enemy
(49:24):
in your life. And that perseverance giving constant attention to
a specific thing, unremitting, unrelenting care and through the instrumentality
of every prayer and supplication for every need, praying in
all seasons by the means of the spirit, and maintaining
(49:45):
constant alertness, and the same with every kind of unremitting
care and supplication for all the saints. Y'regan to see
your prayers answered. Isn't that what you want? Silent prayer,
loud prayers in public, doesn't matter, right, doesn't matter. Shoot
(50:06):
it upward towards Heaven like a dark to five verse one,
give ears one through three. Give ear to my word
the Lord, consider my meditation. Give heed to the voice
of my cry, my King, and my God will to you.
I will pray my voice you shall hear in the morning,
(50:27):
Oh Lord, in the morning. I will direct it to you,
and I will look. I will look. Paul wanted to
give the word. That's what utterance means. It's logos, the word,
the word you want to open his mouth to speak
(50:49):
an He wanted the right words there, and he desired boldness, fearless, confident,
will be free in speaking kind of what we saw
and asks for. For John and Peter were arrested, they
prayed for more boldness, and the Holy Spirit fell on
them again. Another way to put it would be this,
(51:12):
and on behalf of me, in order that they might
be giving me utterance in opening my mouth and every fearless,
confident freedom of speaking to make known the mystery of
the glad tidings on behalf of which I am an
ambassador in chain, in order that I may speak with
every fearless and confident freedom, as it is necessary in
(51:36):
the nature of the case for me to speak to
know what I need to say to this particular person,
to proclaim the gospel, to set the captives free, to
tell the truth even to a hostile audience. How do
we do this? Quick? Brief? Prayer has become a part
(52:00):
of your life. Every situation throughout the day, somebody comes
to mind. Like I said, you pray for them. You
see something, you see it against it. If you will
just let go and let the Holy Spirit out of control,
He'll do that. Order your life around God's desires and
teachings so that every part of your life becomes prayer.
(52:26):
I mean, you don't have to isolate yourself from people,
lock yourself in a room when I'm talking about in
your daily work, every part. You do this in order
to be able to pray constantly. You make prayer your
life and your life of prayer, and when you're out
in the world, you'll be able to meet God's needs
(52:49):
of powerful influence. And this doesn't happen through human effort.
It happens because we're empowered by the Holy Spirit to
do it, and only in Him can we pray effective,
powerful and timely prayers that will change the world. It
(53:09):
was a woman named Catherine Marshall. She died in nineteen
eighty three. She was an author. She wrote nonfiction inspirational fiction.
She was the wife of well known minister Peter Marshall.
She wrote a book about him called a Man Called Peter,
which became a very successful Oscar nominated movie in nineteen
fifty five, and then in nineteen sixty seven she wrote
(53:32):
a book called Christie, which was inspired by the story
of her mother's times in the mountains teaching in Pover's
Children in Appalachia. Christy was adapted. It was the CBS
television series in nineteen ninety four. She said, this God
has given us the total victory of the power of
(53:53):
the Cross through the weapon of prayer. Isn't it time
that we covenant together to pick up that awesome weapon
and use it for His glory? So I'm asking you,
isn't it time that we come into agreement, we covenant
together to pick up that weapon and use it for
(54:16):
His glory? In an SRT. We call this aerial support.
Only went on our very first mission to Woodbury, Connecticut.
We didn't really know what we were encountering. We thought
we were going there to set a girl free to
deal with a supposed demon that was in her house.
(54:37):
The Lord withheld the facts until we got there. We
had put out a prairie question. We called it aerial support.
People from all over the world were praying United Kingdom, Australia.
Here in America, we had some serial aerial support. And
(55:00):
when we went there and we walked into the middle
of this battle, not realizing that would be the first
time that we would directly encounter Bayo barrit when he
and an EVP and a electronic voice phenomenon clip that
we have would not only speak my name, no, my name,
(55:24):
but would tell me very directly, I hate you Richard
and I wish you dead. We also didn't know that
the girl we thought we were there for didn't want
us to. It was her friend that invited us. It
was her friend that God blessed and got touched by
the spirit. No, I'm still friends with today. The girl
(55:47):
that owned the place, she didn't want our help because
she was in agreement with this demon. She was dancing
with this demon. She was practicing witchcraft inside this place
we went into. But the Lord had a bigger plan.
We didn't know the bigger picture. And while we were there,
while we were summing it all up, after I had
(56:11):
confronted it, after it it said what it said. We
were standing there, it's in July, it was hot, and
all of a sudden we hear the roar of jet
engines and we're all looking up, but we're not seeing
any planes. And I looked at one of the girls
(56:32):
and said, is they're an airport nearby? I said no,
everybody else hearing this roar, and they all said yes.
That was the roar of the angelic presence that was arriving,
that had been there to protect us. That was the
roar of the power of the Holy Spirit and from
(56:54):
the intercessory prayer that had gone out for us. This
aerial support that Paul describes, he's telling us we cannot
win a war without it. We can win without ground troops,
and we can win without air superiority. C. S. Lewis wrote,
(57:19):
enemy occupied territory. That's what the world is. Christianity is
the story of how the rightful King has landed in
disguise and is calling us to take part a great
campaign of sabotage. So doesn't it make sense? A Captain
(57:39):
Marshall asked that we make use of our air coverage
the power of prayer, beginning to pray for one another,
Beginning to intercede for one another, with all prayer and supplications,
specific requests at all times, on every occasion, in every season,
with the power of the Holy Spirit, staying alert, perseverance, petition,
(58:03):
interceding in prayer for all of God's people. When the
days are evil and they are right now, we pray
and intercede for all God's people, all the saints of God,
You and I one another, for those that we love,
(58:26):
because the Church is marching on, and the gates of
health cannot prevail against you. Father, Abah, Lord, King of
King's Lord of Lords. We are your sons and your daughters.
We are your servants, We are the members of your body.
(58:50):
We are the army of God, marching on, declaring the Word,
setting the captives free, redeeming the land, redeeming the time,
destroying the works of the enemy, shining the light of
the Gospel into the dark and leading people out, taking
(59:11):
the lamb out of the lion's mouth, laying hands on
the sixth so that they can recover and be set
free of the enemy's grasp. I pray right now the
Holy Spirit would come upon each and every one of us,
Speak to us individually, stir up the gifts inside of us,
Stir up that love inside of us, Stir up prayer
(59:32):
inside of us, make us receptive to you. Let anything
that has created interference or a blockage be removed. In
your Shoe's name, heal us and heart, mind, body, stolen spirit,
so that we can focus on you. Lord, who can
focus on these prayers and petitions and supplications, one can
(59:58):
be victorious. We are. We can take the victory of
the Cross out into the world and do what you wanted, done,
what you prayed for us to do, and be ready
for the return of the King. And I pray all
(01:00:18):
these things with all my heart in your Shoe's name. Amen.
May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the
Lord make his face to shine upon you and be
gracious to you. May the Lord, I don't know your
shoha much, Siah Jesus the Messiah lift up his countenance
(01:00:41):
upon you and give you peace, Give you shallon. I'm
Richard Grunn. This has been the port on Firefall talk radio.
