Speaker 1 (00:03):
Steve, my good man. How the devil are you.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
Are very good? Buddy? How are you midswig?
Speaker 1 (00:10):
Yep, I was midswig, but I'm very good, my friend.
I am a very good I am stuffed from dinner
and we I will blame Surey she cooked. Sure he
made far too much food and then couldn't finish her portion,
and so then I had to finish it. Waste not,
want not and all that, and now I feel a
little bit sick. But otherwise, you know, the beers one
swig off went down. Well, so that's okay.
Speaker 2 (00:31):
Happy happy days. We're like full stomach. I just need
a nap.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
Yeah, I definitely need a big nap, mate. Yeah, there's
a big night long nap happening as soon as we
finished recording.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
Yeah, that would be nice.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
Yeah, I don't want to repeat of last night's I
think it was eleven o'clock. Brody come downstairs after being
asleep since seven. Trotting downstairs, He's like, hey, I'm awake.
Speaker 1 (00:57):
He's there, like, I've had my four hours sleep now
I'm ready for us to be up all night.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
Yeah. Yeah, the kitchen door looked out side. He went,
oh dark, daddy, light, get back to sleep. No, and
then proceeded like, where's tablet. It's like you're not having
a tablet? Oh telly, So no, And that's at the
(01:23):
tone of for the night.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
Oh well that was a joy for you.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
Yeah. Yeah, his powernap really was a parap.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
There we go and then did he go down this evening?
Was he tired enough to go to sleep? This evening?
Speaker 2 (01:36):
He always crashes.
Speaker 3 (01:38):
This is a kid that ever since he was born,
he was like the most perfect sleeper.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
He's always crashed out straight away.
Speaker 3 (01:46):
But because he's got a slight touch of the tism.
I didn't realize this till we spoke to one of
the nurses about it. Apparently, people with a bit of
the tism don't require as much sleep. It's something to
do with the brains over activity allegedly.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
Interesting.
Speaker 3 (02:02):
Yeah, so they have like this sleep is deeper, so
the reacharge kind of quicker, and because their mind's an
overload to catch up, they just whether up.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
It's one hundred miles now, which is exactly what.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
Wow, that's all fun and games then.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
Yeah, yeah, are the kids like only just on the spectrum.
I do not envy parents and have the most respective
parents that do have kids that are deep in theism.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
Yeah, handsful, hats off to you.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
Yeah, I can. Well, I was about I can imagine,
but I can't actually imagine at all. I can't imagine
when to have any child, so that reality is so
far removed from my existence that, yeah, that's just something
I don't need to imagine and we'll never need to imagine.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
I feel like the ultimate uncle who just kind of
swans in after a world winning adventure around the world,
like I'm back.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
Yeah, yeah, come back for a bit. I'm like, this
seems like hard work. I'm away.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
Go find a beach somewhere.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Yeah, hammock and a cocktail.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
Yeah, in the family group chat of lovely places.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
Exactly, the rest of the family. Yeah, but you know,
you get used to that. That's fine. It's it's easy
to accept being called a wanker when you're the one
sitting on like a powdery white beach with like beautiful
clear water and like the starfish swimming about.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
So yeah, sitting on him like really nice crispy cold
cocktail or a beer.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
Exactly. I could take that, Yeah, exactly. Bustard, how was
your weekend anyway, Steve?
Speaker 2 (03:47):
All right? I think I don't really remember.
Speaker 3 (03:48):
If I'm honest, it seems that memory loss SEMs to
be a big problem with me at the minute.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
So it's an age thing made. Don't worry about it.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
Yeah we did go. I took the voice to watch
Sarah play football. That was really nice.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Nice. Oh yes, you said my brother was refereeing.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
Yes, yeah, yeah, yeah turned up this did your brother
in his referee gear with his wife and two kids
who were friendly with them. So so they had all
had a whale the time and I just spent the time.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
Time Is that with your sister in law talking about nice?
And Sarah comes over? Did you see me? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (04:24):
Yeah, well done, great game? Did you Was there a goal?
Did you get it? I don't know, Yeah, brilliantly.
Speaker 2 (04:33):
Yeah that was about it. Yeah that mate, We didn't
do a lot that has been built in Sorry.
Speaker 1 (04:41):
Yeah, I'm pretty fuming about that still. But what are
you going to do?
Speaker 2 (04:44):
Yeah? Yeah, you're living up there and we don Scotland
while we're down here in crispy Norfolk.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
Yeah. I think it's everywhere in the UK except us
right now. But there we go. What you're going to do?
I think people have probably had enough of me complaining
about the weather up here, considering I choose to come
up here every summer, so it's just summer.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
Every country does that. You go to America and like
you go into i don't know, somewhere like middle of Levana.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
Like totally, yeah, probably, Like that's a cool day today
in a bit chilly, put a jumper on. Okay, that
it's only a thirty five degrees. Well, no, because it'd
be fahrenheit, wouldn't it, So it would be seventy ninety
only ninety two degrees today tostally, yeahsty.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
I'm sure everyone does it all across the all across
the world. Again, anyway, how was your weekend?
Speaker 1 (05:32):
Yeah? What did I do? Steve? Can't remember my full
full swing at the hostel at the minute, isn't it?
So everything blurs into one weekends mean nothing. But we've
only got now, what is it, twelfth of August, So
I've got like six weeks left of work. For six
weeks left and that's me done.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
Then you're awful another adventure.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
Yes quite, but I'll be back for three months or so.
We'll be back in the room for a little while
recording here and there. So but yes, look for that yeah, quite,
and then we're going to have a super time difference
to work with it after that, and fuck knows, mate,
we're gonna have to work out some recording plan. I
don't know how it's gonna work, but we will get
there when we get there.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
Yes, that could be an extremely late record for me
and probably a very early one for you.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
Yeah, it will be something like that. I'm sure it
will be weird. It's also going to be weird knowing
like we speak to a lot of Kiwi listeners who
always complain that they have to wait till Monday morning
to watch the races. That's going to blow my tiny mind.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
That is going to blow your blow. My week only
one where's my clock? Let's go Auckland just for the
hell of it.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
No, yeah, I can use even it's just one time
zone anyway.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
So yeah, anyway, I'm just banging for some reason. I've
got soul in there. You must have been soul at
some point.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
I've never been to career.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
All right, I just so the plus twelve hours right now,
it's plus twelve.
Speaker 1 (06:52):
Wow, that's such a stupid time difference. But as you
wouldn't be too bad. That would mean for you in
the morning for me or yeah, vice versa. Yeah that's
not nice, too bad.
Speaker 3 (07:00):
Yeah, so that's too I'm going to just add that
for reference. And currently it's seven degrees.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
Winter.
Speaker 3 (07:08):
Yeah, yeah, it's winter down there, So I'm just going
to leave that one in there just for the hell
of it. When you're out there, we'll just give away
your location.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
Now, that's all right mate. At the minute, everyone knows
on the isle of sky, and probably if they've listened
long enough, know the name of the hostel and exactly
where I am at this moment, because I'm in the
shipping container in the car park. So it's just saying
a country is certainly less doxing than location. Right now,
(07:36):
this is true.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
There we are. That's travel plans and recalling exactly exactly.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
So Steve, anyway, we've tried to tangent our way through
this one because this is there's not much going on,
so we've got a short show tonight, but let's dive
into it, shall we.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
Let's go for a bully good stuff.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
So I'm Tim, He's Steve, and this is for the
love of Moto GP. If you are new to the show, welcome.
If you are returning welcome back. This is for the
(08:18):
Love of Moto GP, the show where Steve and I
sit down with a couple of beers and talk about
Moto GP like we would in the pub. We talk
about the weather, we talk about travel pans, we talk
about Steve's children, normal conversations.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
It's based on motorcycles.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
Exactly, but there will be motorcycles. So I know we're
eight minutes in and you've not had any of it yet,
but it's come in, I promise.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
That's what she said.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
Eight minutes in, mate, and I'm asleep. Usually no comment.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
With eleven minutes.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
Eleven minutes, a man can dream, a.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
Man can dream. I'm sure there's some fight of a book.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
Yeah, but we're both on the beer tonight. My first
beer here is an impossive Rue. So it is the
alcohol free Steve. It is on the Fosters. And then
I do have a cheeky tenants behind me, or as
we like to call it, Scottish fosters.
Speaker 3 (09:21):
Scottish fosters. Yeah, I saw these in the shop. I
was like, you know what, it's been a hell of
a day. It's been expensive day.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
I'm having a beer and what better beer than OSSI finest.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
That Aussie's finest quite well for Phillip Island. I'll make
sure I get some fosters in just so you can
really really appreciate. I think I can get them cold, mate.
We're not that far away from the rest of the world.
Not quite so, Steve. Anyway, Moto GP related stuff here.
(09:56):
We do have a few news items to cover and
then we will such on what we're going to be
looking for in Austria, which is this weekend, because the
summer break is pretty much over now, which is whiz
whizzed by.
Speaker 2 (10:09):
It has whizzed by, mate, It really has gone quick.
But that's good. It's also very bad.
Speaker 3 (10:15):
So it means we're going the second half of the
season and the end is nigh, which sucks, but you know,
we've got races to come, and Austria is fantastic. I
do believe everyone missed out on the correction corner as well, because.
Speaker 2 (10:28):
I'm pretty sure I said.
Speaker 3 (10:29):
We had two weeks until the next race in the
last show, but we only had one.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
So well, there we go, Steve. Either no one's actually
listening anymore and they're just like, oh fucking hell, these
two ain't shut up, or they're just so used to
it at this point that they're not paying that much
attention even when they are listing.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
I think everyone just has us in the background. It's like,
just maybe i'll put the kids to sleep. What we're
gonna do put those two idiots on.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
It gets a bit sweary for that. I think maybe
we should do a not Not Asleep with Tim and
Steve show. That's another one that's that's paid content check
for the Yeah, exactly, We'll just we'll do a late
night recording where we just get really close to the
microphones and talk very gently about we can do it.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
Like, what what is that YouTube ship that's very popular
in ASMR?
Speaker 1 (11:21):
God Stevie showing your age that YouTube ship that's very
popular at the moment. I feel like ASMR blew up
in the early two.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
Thousands, behind the time. I'm just sort of discovering.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
Yeah, as someone who is particularly affected by ASMR, though,
I am very happy that the trend has continued.
Speaker 2 (11:40):
Yeah, yeah, I'm only just discovering it and I'm loving it.
I realized this so far behind the times. I think
I'm just ancient now.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
Yeah, well that happens in the era. Mate, I'm practically
an old man these days as well, So it doesn't
it's what it is, my friend.
Speaker 3 (11:58):
Yeah, yeah, I just discovered stuff on my phone every day.
I'm like how did I do this? And I have
no idea. I can't replicate it, and I have to
go to Hin.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
So who's like seven this mate, And he's like, I
like this, Dad, for Christ's sake, idiot.
Speaker 1 (12:14):
Yeah, I can't even help you with that one, mate.
Now you're no longer using an iPhone. I haven't got
a clue.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
No, no, I found this little drop down bar the
other day.
Speaker 3 (12:21):
So if I get a notification, I can make it
like a really small widget but on the lock screen
and whatever it is, Like if it's a YouTube thing,
I can make it play and all this shit.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
And I was like, I have no idea how I
did it. I was like, how do I do this?
How do I get this up on here? For it's
a Notification's like.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
Wow, that's quite amazing. It can do it intuitively as well,
to a point that like they will be able to
swap between operating systems and just be like, oh yeah,
probably like this, and then it just works. You're like, wow,
that's just now built into.
Speaker 2 (12:53):
You yes, yeah, and Brodie consider him' a little touch
of tism. What is it now? Five? You can he
pays with insight. Yeah, it's scary as fun. Anyway, we
get a massive attention, and I'm sure and it makes
me feel old.
Speaker 1 (13:08):
And it's just the kids of digital natives these days.
I think I'm probably in the very youngest of non
digital native people. Anyone you know, a couple of years
younger than me is just digital native now.
Speaker 3 (13:21):
Yeah, pretty much, pretty much. My two are just going
to be all over it.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
I'm old.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
I show my age every day.
Speaker 3 (13:27):
I'm sating next to like original Xbox game from back
in the day that there's one.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
Was that Need for Speed most wanted it was oh wow,
you held that up for like half a second and
I recognized that cover. I'm prettyful the best games ever
Need Speed Underground two was better.
Speaker 2 (13:45):
I don't know. No, no, no, no no.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
If you really want Nostalge, you can hang on. Let
me move Mike, get it down there so you can
really appreciate it. I haven't got a plug in motherfucker
show me.
Speaker 1 (13:59):
I didn't work.
Speaker 2 (14:00):
That did not work. That really backfurled on me. That
one that's not good, but I've sat next to the
old original break of an xbox.
Speaker 1 (14:08):
Okay, oh it's good.
Speaker 2 (14:10):
A cut the grass there to move the extensively.
Speaker 1 (14:12):
Then well there's that demonstration failed. So let's move it on,
shall we, Steve and actually talk Moto GP?
Speaker 2 (14:19):
Okay? Okay?
Speaker 1 (14:21):
So first up here, in fact, the very top, Steve,
is the breaking news that you and I have both
just read that that is very jealous about. I'm pretty
jealous about this as well. And this is that for
fans or for Moto GP fans in the US, there
is now going to be a twenty four to seven
(14:41):
Moto GP streaming channel called very originally the Moto GP Channel.
Speaker 2 (14:48):
Someone got paid a lot of money for that. Yeah,
as well. The news article only got released.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
Today, yeah, and this evening, because it wasn't there when
I checked when I was finishing off the show notes earlier.
So that's yeah. This channel goes live tomorrow, the thirteenth
of August, so tomorrow as we are talking, but we'll
be today if you're listening on release day and the
channel it will be a twenty four to seven channel.
It will feature all the races and Motor GP sessions
(15:17):
live as well. As live Motive to Motive three races,
and when there's not racing on, viewers can sit back
and enjoy Moto GP content all day, every day thanks
to the series collaboration with C fifteen Studios. So I
realized now as I read that out, that sounded a
lot like an ad read It wasn't. I'd really literally
just hammered that out very quickly while Steve and I
were chatting. But it turns out maybe I have missed
(15:38):
my calling in a ad writing.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
You could be an ad writer, mate, Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:42):
The channel will be widely available on leading streaming services
including Prime Video, LG channels, Fire TV, Fubo TV, Plegux
never heard of it, and Sling Free stream.
Speaker 1 (15:55):
Yeah. I've never heard of the final three of those.
I assume fired TV is a fire Stick thing, and
that's an Amazon thing anyway, as his Prime. So that's
been weird that they've listed it twice. But what are
you going to do?
Speaker 3 (16:07):
And I don't know, but there we are, you lucky
lucky people over there in the good us of Hey.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
Yeah quite Oh and it's free, absolute bastards. Yeah, so
there will be adds on there, but otherwise, yeah, it's
going to be free. So that's really good because the
F one channel is banging mate, but the F one
channel costs an absolute fourtune. You've the top Sky Sports
package to get it, and it's stupid.
Speaker 2 (16:32):
What really pisses me off?
Speaker 3 (16:34):
For instance, I know we're going off piece on this again, Well,
Sarah loves football football mad as mad as I am
with Motor GP. She loves Liverpool and they were in
some charity shield match over the weekend I believe it was.
Speaker 2 (16:52):
But that was on TNT Sport BT Sport.
Speaker 3 (16:57):
If you were so subscription thing and as you put it,
this is probably the least coveted trophy that you can
get throughout the year. And when you look at the
number of things that people want to watch that I
really love the Long Way Round series.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
But you've got to have an Apple TV subscription if
you want to watch the Formula one Drives to Survive
and all that, you've got Netflix, you want to watch
the Motor GP one, Amazon Prime, you've got to have
that one. Suddenly we're in a world where you've got
to a fuck ton of money, you know, I play
thirty ninety nine a month to watch d ND Sport. Yes,
(17:34):
that gives me everything I some need to find you.
Speaker 1 (17:37):
That's your only option, isn't it. For Motor GP, you've
got to get their top tier package to get the
Motor GP one. You can't just pay for their basic package,
can you.
Speaker 2 (17:44):
No, nothing, You've got to have the full board and
it's a big jump. It's words.
Speaker 3 (17:48):
I've doubled the price to get the Motor GP and
the sports stuff and there's still pay per view on
top of that. So it is a com We're suddenly
living in a world where everything is dominated by descriptions. Yeah,
I don't know. I still maintain a lot of this
stuff should be given out free.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
You know, we over here. I don't know if this
is the thing in other countries. We over here in
the UK. To watch live TV, we have to buy
a TV license.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
Yeah, I don't know about that. I think that's quite
a UK thing, but I could be wrong.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
Yeah, so it's not much. I think it's like fourteen
quid a month, but even they's.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
Stupid, like you're paying fifteen quid a month to watch
channels for free in theory that you have to watch
ads on anyway. This is like that Netflix thing or
Amazon Prime does this, and Disney does this where yeah,
you're paying to have it and then you've got watch
ads anyway, I know that's not how the BBC works,
(18:45):
Like the BBC is there's no ads on there and
that's kind of where most of the license money goes.
But technically to watch anything live in the UK you
need TV license. You can't technically stream anything live from
other services providers unless you've got TV license. So if
you were watching streaming motor GP for example, even on
video paths without a TV license, I think you're technically
(19:06):
breaking the law.
Speaker 3 (19:07):
I looked at I looked it up because I went
for a phase of not paying it. I was like, nope,
and you could go online and op out.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
If you truly.
Speaker 3 (19:13):
Believe that you do not need a TV less that's
over here. Can go online and just declare note you
don't need one. But when you look at the list
of things on any app or subscription channel, including like
video paths for motor GP, if you're playing it for
your TV or on your laptop phone, anything like that,
(19:36):
if it's live, you need a TV license.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
Yeah, it's frustrating. If you was even more frustrating in
Scotland literally seventy percent of the population don't pay it.
They all just opted out and just refused, and no
one does anything about it because there's so many of
them that just don't pay it.
Speaker 3 (19:51):
Yeah, I wouldn't pay. I don't pay, and by my
own a mission. I'm no, I'm not paying for something
I already pay.
Speaker 2 (19:56):
For the privilege of watching.
Speaker 3 (19:58):
Yeah, no way, no way. But anyway, you lucky lucky
bustards over there in the USA, enjoy it.
Speaker 2 (20:04):
And if anyone wants to, you know, share a login, Well.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
I'm going to try the old VPN trick, mate, I'm
going to see if it's steer location or whether it
will work with a VPN and see if I can
get in and get ahold of it. So I think
it'd be fun. It'll be fun just to have one
in the background.
Speaker 3 (20:20):
Yeah, I mean you could get similar over here with
the video pass. You're playing one hundred and sixty quid
a year, maybe two hundred quid.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
Yeah, I think mine was like one hundred and seventy
equid or something. I paid for it this year.
Speaker 2 (20:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (20:31):
Yeah, I went for the BT Sport, which is a
bit more. But then you've got BSB got Well, the joints.
You've got super bikes, so you've really got to make
the most of it.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
Yeah, and you get what you get way more anyway
than you get more channels. Plus you get in the
football and like, because football is a prime example here.
Football is stupid in I kind of what it was.
If you want to watch all the Premier League games,
all the Champions League games, whatever other games there are
in the club football, I don't fucking know. Yeah, you've
got to have like four five different subscription services.
Speaker 2 (21:02):
Yeah you can get it. Yeah, you have.
Speaker 3 (21:03):
Essentially you got have Sky Sports, had to get Spy Sports,
You've got to have the basic Sky package. So there's
two packages right there. You've then got some games on
TNT Sport. You've then got some games on Prime and
I think it's just a travesty. Yeah there's nothing on
Netflix yet. But it's just insane, none of this. If
we're dedicated to watching a sport the only subscription, I
(21:27):
would be happy to pay if that's my only way
of getting it. If I could only watch Mojo GP
in one place, I would pay for the video pass
and I would be happy to pay with that if
that was my only way of getting it.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
Yeah, that I have no problem with.
Speaker 3 (21:42):
But when you've got pay four or five different subscriptions
to get the sport you love, that's just fucking travesty.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
Yeah quite yeah, it's a bit of a joke.
Speaker 2 (21:52):
Really sorry.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
Rant over there we go, let's move it on there
more news. So this over the summer breaks the the
full contingent of Dukati Motor GP riders were testing at
Balloton Park. That's the newest edition to the Motor GB
calendar in Hungary and it did see all of the
Dukati riders as well as Dukati's test rider Makayl Pirot
(22:15):
take the V four's the is its most TTV four?
Speaker 2 (22:20):
What is it there?
Speaker 1 (22:20):
Yeah, Pagali V four that's the one. So yeah, they
were blasting around on the street bikes. They were around
four seconds off the pace of the World Souper Bike
times from the circuit a few weeks ago. And given
the nature of the machinery, difference between the Panagali V
four V four r is it and the like the
(22:44):
world souper bike machines like four seconds feel super close?
Speaker 2 (22:48):
Yeah? It really does.
Speaker 3 (22:49):
I mean, I know these guys are letting most skilled
riders in the world, and they can get out that
you can rag these road bikes far better than you
and I could, and get so close to these quite
four seconds does seem insanely close. When you count it down,
you're like, that's nothing. It's bloody quick, and it kind
(23:09):
of makes me what have a go but.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
The hedge, Yeah quite, I'd end up in the car
park somewhere and it would have an absolute no idea how
I got there.
Speaker 2 (23:20):
Yeah, just land. Oh yeah, where do you come from?
Speaker 1 (23:25):
I'll tell you what. Though, due to the layout of
the circuit, like it's tight, it's twisted, there's not much there.
I don't think the motor tip machines are actually going
to be much faster than the World super bikes, especially
in qualifying.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
Yeah, I think you're right.
Speaker 3 (23:38):
I think in qualifying we could see the closest times
between the two.
Speaker 2 (23:41):
Classes that we've ever seen.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (23:44):
I think this could be the one track that sort
of everyone starts questioning or what's the difference?
Speaker 1 (23:49):
What the difference is that over a race distance and
a GP bike is way faster than a World super bike. Yes,
a World super bike got roast circuits is within a
couple of seconds in qualifying, if not, sometimes the fastest
World super bike guys to be quicker than the slowest
Marjorip guys. But over a race, the world super bikes
that can't touch the Magi P bikes.
Speaker 2 (24:06):
No, no, this one's just going to highlight how close
they can be and if you want them to be
in the right hands, they're capable machines.
Speaker 1 (24:16):
Yes, absolutely, it would be a.
Speaker 3 (24:18):
Really interesting thing to on a circuit like this to
have mo Gip bikes for testing and World superbikes for testing,
putting on like proper qualif.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
We used to see it, didn't we We used to
see private tests because we've you always got the headlines
Johnny Ray faster than all Moto GP riders.
Speaker 2 (24:35):
Yeah, yeah, you don't see that anymore because they stop
doing it. Yeah, that is a shame.
Speaker 3 (24:40):
But then it gives you a false sense of like
speed because it's always on a circuit that is capable
of giving close times and.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
It's always one lap pace is what we're looking and
the yeah, over like one lap pace, the world super
bikes can be quick because they're they're really really sticky,
tired on they're going full bore, the engines are turned
up to max, but you can't do it over race distance.
Like over race distance they're going to be a second
off the pace per lop easy. Just because they're within
(25:10):
a tent or two in qualifying doesn't mean there'll be
anywhere near them in the race.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
No, exactly. It's just nice to see that they're closed.
And sometimes I think the World Superbikes are a lot
more pleasing on the eye.
Speaker 1 (25:25):
I have to agree. Actually, I love all of the
arrow and everything we're getting in Motor GP. I just
think it looks super cool. I understand that it's quote
unquote ruining the racing. I do think it looks cool.
But then when you see well superbikes again, you're like, oh,
look what a bike does. When it's like slithering and
moving and sliding about, You're like, that's cool, Like that's
a really esthetically pleasing way to race motorcycles.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (25:48):
I'll watch the Last World Superbikes again through bug Sporty
and do what call it, and it's so good to watch.
Speaker 2 (25:57):
But then you came back to the GPS.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
Home, Yeah, that's weird. It's funny. I feel like whenever
you watch on super bikes, even the camera quality isn't
as good. It's four K like, what's happening here?
Speaker 2 (26:10):
Barely see Sometimes when you look at the time in
tower and I'm like, fuck, you see better for ten
glasses off?
Speaker 1 (26:16):
Yeah, yeah, it's weird. It's weird, I tell you what
the you know. I'd always talked about it, like, I'd
really love a Formula one and Motor GP weekend where
they both go and do the same circuit or whatever
and it just be an amazing mash up. Well, obviously
with Liberty media coming in, this is a conversation that's
been had recently. People are saying, look, could we do this?
(26:38):
It looks like the answer is going to be no. However,
there does seem to be in quiet back room conversations here,
some conversation to say, maybe there should be a MOTORGP
World super Bike Weekend, which would be super cool.
Speaker 3 (26:50):
I still maintain we could make a Formula one weekend happen.
It would have to be an insanely big circuit with
the facilities of I don't know if fucking base.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
But it would have to be in America, wouldn't It
would have to be somewhere in the US at a
brand new circuit that is built to accommodate that.
Speaker 2 (27:08):
But that's doable in this day and age. It is doable.
Speaker 3 (27:11):
This is what I mean with the money we're talking
with Liberty Media's takeover of Motor GP and the finances
that could be thrown at it. If you were to
bring people in that's Partner's sponsors, you know, some massive
companies in the US, and you could even bring in
some from out other countries that really want to throw in.
I'm sure the Japanese manufacturers could bring some big boys,
(27:34):
big names across from over there. The money that could
be thrown at this could be insane.
Speaker 2 (27:40):
Yeah, And I still maintain it's doable.
Speaker 3 (27:42):
In the right planning, with the right people behind it.
It's not unfeasible, you know. Once I think the.
Speaker 1 (27:50):
Sorry carry on.
Speaker 3 (27:51):
So I've already had my little drawing over here in
this book somewhere I don't find it anyway. Ship from
pen of that one's dedicated circuit a Mulligator to a
company both series superbikes included in this slap bang in
the middle.
Speaker 2 (28:11):
Think of it as Mickey Mouse two.
Speaker 3 (28:13):
Mickey Mouse is one dedicated paddock from o GP, one
dedicated paddock for Formula one. They've all got their entire
area away from each other. Two entry points onto the track,
not unfeasible. Away we go one Saturday.
Speaker 1 (28:29):
I mean you've only got a look at Silveston. Actually,
now I think about it's got two straights to start
finish lines, two starting goods.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
Yeah, it's got the hanger straight in the old international straight.
It's completely feasible.
Speaker 2 (28:40):
It just needs someone with the balls to sit down
and say, right elong, get check book out, Jeff, we
want some trillions.
Speaker 1 (28:50):
I think you'd probably have to find someone who's a
bit less controversial than neither of those gentlemen right now.
Speaker 2 (28:55):
Just going for bank balances, anyone, anyone with deep pockets,
you know, get on board. I think it's feasible, and
you could lease, and that facility is then there to
be leased out for whatever you want.
Speaker 3 (29:07):
And even if it has to be partly broken up,
torn down, the remedial money as you could get from
that job's created.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
I think it's worth it.
Speaker 1 (29:17):
I mean, you've only got a look at what Formula
one's doing in Miami every year, what it's doing in
Las Vegas, like they are building and tearing down circuits
all time. Look at what they do in Monaco, look
at what they look at the macau GP like, look
at all of these things. I know the mcowgp's a
bit different, but these things are going on all the time,
building circuits tearing them down again, it's a bit different
if you're gonna if it's not going to be macau
(29:39):
GP that it's just barriers everywhere. If you want a
safe circuit, then it's a bit harder to do for
motorcycles than is for cars. But I think the biggest
problem is I do think there is a huge potential
to attract new fans into MOTORGP doing this. However, I
think Liberty media are going to be a little bit
reluctant because they've kind of got at the minute the
(30:00):
duel of international motorsport, which is Formula one, and they've
got the duels of international motorcycle racing MOTORGP World super Bikes,
but MOGP clearly the number one. I think the only
way to make this happen is you have to put
MOTORP on a support race to Formula One, and I
don't think anyone in motor GP is going to be
willing to be the support race because whether that's from
(30:22):
a commercial point of view, they don't want to devalue
the brand, almost by saying oh yeah, okay, is the
support class, by rights it is? It would be the
support class. There's less money in it, there's less fans,
there's less everything than in a Formula one. But I
think there would be a fear of devaluing Motor GP,
which could cause the brand as much damage as bringing
(30:44):
new fans could do it. Good.
Speaker 2 (30:46):
Yeah, I see what you're saying.
Speaker 3 (30:49):
I think you need to brand it as a festival
when when you come across you can get your headliners
say you want to go fack, I just want to
go see that band from Saturday and that band from Sunday.
Speaker 2 (31:00):
You know what you're going to get.
Speaker 3 (31:02):
Give the pinnacle, all right, You can't argue the followers
for Formula one are going to be far bigger. Give
them the Sunday, which is always the race day. Give
Moto GP the Saturday. That way, if any Formula one
fans want to come down early, they can. They can
see the GP on a Saturday, stay over. The place
would have the capacity to house and the facilities to
(31:23):
house the number of fans that wanted to come over.
Speaker 1 (31:26):
There's no reason you couldn't do it though as a okay,
AGP Racist slightly earlier in the day, Formula one Racist
slightly later in the day, and you just do it
like both of them have night races. Formula One often
will be later in the day. Anyway, the Motor GP,
there's no reason you couldn't do that and just have
a full Sunday that is just packed full of track action.
Speaker 2 (31:48):
I think that's an option, but I personally, if it
was me designed it, I'd go for the full weekend.
The International Festival of.
Speaker 1 (31:54):
Speed, I good would eat your heart out.
Speaker 3 (31:58):
Yes, literally, just tour that one. Plagiarize on the hell
but give it, make it a weekend, make it a
whole full ball weekend. Get there on the friday you
could have I don't know, Oh.
Speaker 1 (32:12):
Yeah, no, it would be a full weekend in what
I'm suggesting. But I just think you wouldn't have to
put them a former AGP Grand Prix on a Saturday.
I think you could still do it on the Sunday.
You're just going to have longer days, so you're gonna
have all your qualifying on Saturday as per usual, or
you're racing on a Sunday as per usual. But they'll
just be longer days, which is going to be good
from a fan point of view.
Speaker 3 (32:29):
Yeah, yeah, I was going for a whole longer week
where you could still on the Monday.
Speaker 1 (32:35):
Like Indy five hundred here.
Speaker 3 (32:37):
Yeah, it's Monday, MOJIP practice or Formula one practice, Tuesday,
GP Wednesday.
Speaker 1 (32:44):
I'd be so good, mate. This is like my wet
dream of a holiday.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
But this is just like spitball in it here.
Speaker 3 (32:49):
So Monday, Formula one practice, Tuesday, MOGIP practice, Wednesday, Formula
one practice too, Thursday, and some support races.
Speaker 1 (33:02):
You do an F three race, you do a Moto
three race, F two and Moto two on the same day,
and then go through that seven days.
Speaker 3 (33:09):
We just take what is essentially a race weekend and
we would just explode that over a week seven days,
five to some days, probably go five days, and we
would just drop that in segmented next to each other.
So if you're there for the whole thing, you can
come and pick a choose what you want to watch.
(33:30):
You pay per day, you pay for a week ticket,
you pay for your camping, parking.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
Oh, it would be so much money. Can you imagine
how much money was cost out?
Speaker 2 (33:39):
It would but it's already a lot of money.
Speaker 3 (33:42):
Yeah, I think anyone who is anyone who would be
a celebrity fuck fest. It would be just like a
I don't know, cluster fucker celebrities everywhere, but you would
have to give priority back to the fans to get
them crossed over. I've never been for Formula one race,
(34:03):
but if the option was there in this like week
long festival, I would go and watch. If the option
was there, you could buy your ticket. You buy a
motor GP ticket which covers I don't know, two or
three options, have a couple of days, three days, five days, whatever.
If the option is there to upgrade, I don't anything.
I can't go home this time.
Speaker 2 (34:23):
I want to stay. Come back tomorrow and I'll watch
the Formula one practice.
Speaker 1 (34:26):
Yeah, extra one hundred quid to get into all of
the extra sessions or something.
Speaker 2 (34:30):
Yeah. And there you are.
Speaker 3 (34:31):
Suddenly someone's gone in. They're hooked on for me. I'm like,
fucking oh, actually this is good. You know it's boring.
Speaker 2 (34:36):
What's not on? Tell you? But now I've been here,
I've seen it, I understand it. Carry that forward and
suddenly you've got another person that sat at home and
so for watching buy a merchandise.
Speaker 1 (34:46):
Yeah, it would be cool. What would you call it
the Pinnacle series or something.
Speaker 2 (34:50):
Yeah, anything like that.
Speaker 3 (34:51):
Just one week of just dedicated motorsport and it was
just it would be insane.
Speaker 2 (34:58):
So anyone was listening the media, drop us a line
we have for love remote GP at gmail dot com.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
Nice. Nice Back to Hungry anyway, Steve Mark Marquez is
surely going to go into this race as a favorite.
Considering his current runner form and the circuits anti clockwise layout,
Mark has got to be the favorite coming into Hungry.
I can't see anyone else challenging him. But you know,
(35:29):
weird things happen at new circuits Miguel or Verica and
win a race. He's pretty goer around a new.
Speaker 3 (35:33):
Circuit and does not unknown to do weird shit at
new tracks as well.
Speaker 2 (35:37):
So your money's got to be on Mark.
Speaker 1 (35:41):
Yeah, exactly. But I am interested to see who else
is going to be able to speak quickly and which
bikes will work well tight, twisty? Could this be a
Yamaha circuit? And we'll talk more about it probably next
week because next week is going to be previewing it,
so we'll save a lot of that but I think
there is going to be a rider or two that
will surprise us. Given there and performance this.
Speaker 2 (36:00):
Year, I think it's gonna be a few surprises.
Speaker 1 (36:04):
Yeah, quite Next up then an old Moto GP stalwart
to replace top rack Rat Scatley Oglu at BMW in
World Superbikes. This is Dinillo Petrucci. He is confirmed to
take the BMW factory ride, which is exciting. It's nice
to see Denillo earning some good dosh again.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (36:27):
Yeah, I'm pleased for him a little bit kind of
Oh god, it's the BMW only top racks really done
big things on this, but it's a full factory.
Speaker 1 (36:36):
Ride, you know, and good money. There's the BMW have
been throwing around big money to get riders onto that
machine exactly.
Speaker 2 (36:44):
So yeah, good on him. I really, I'm so pleased
for him. He deserves it. I just hope he does well. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (36:53):
I think he's third in the standings, isn't he this year?
Speaker 2 (36:55):
And yeah he's doing well.
Speaker 1 (36:57):
So I mean he's the logical choice. We know that
they've well, there's rumors that BMW have made a big
money offer to Marrick Vinyalez, although this has been turned
down and Aaron Cannett is reportedly in the conversation too,
but yeah, he's apparently also speaking to do Catti to
a place Alva Bautista over there, so that's pretty interesting.
(37:19):
But yeah, but Trichi thirty in the championship and super
bikes right now, you can't get number one, You are
are unlikely to get the number two rider, bootlegger. You're
not getting him out of his do Catty deal. So
you go to the number three rider. That's just what
makes sense.
Speaker 2 (37:33):
Yeah, just what. I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (37:34):
I was just literally sifting through the World Superbike website
and I realized I clicked on the interview and it
was about to kick off in my ears.
Speaker 1 (37:43):
Okay, you did look a little shocked, and I was
I'm just gonna keep talking. Yeah, voice. So, Dinnillo's teammate
for next year is yet to be announced, but it
is looking like Michael Vandermark will be dropped from the team. So,
as I say, Aaron Cannet is in conversation for that.
There will be other riders from the World super Bike paddock,
(38:04):
from Motor Tu paddock, potentially from World super Sport, so
there's going to be plenty of people clamoring for that. Ride.
It's also interesting that Johnny Ray looks like he's going
to be moving from the factory Yamaha in super bikes
to replaced Dillo Patrucci at the Barney Ducatti squad. And finally,
after years of Ducati trying to get Johnny Ray on
their bike, they've managed to do it. Except now he's
(38:26):
had to settle for a satellite machine.
Speaker 2 (38:28):
Well, if it's as good as what he used to be.
Speaker 1 (38:32):
Hopefully, I think the answer is he's not as good
as he used to be. However, I think he's better
than his performances on the Yamaha have shown, so it'll
be interested to see him on Arguably, the best bike
is still in world two bikes. I think the best
bike is still a du Catti. It's just that the
top brack is so good that he's skid at the
Mark Marquez. They're dragging a weaker performing bike to the front.
Speaker 2 (38:55):
Yes, yeah, I completely agree with.
Speaker 1 (38:57):
That, and you can it's been there quiet much bee
news week. Because I've spent a lot of time reading
what news.
Speaker 3 (39:04):
It has been very quiet. Even on social media, you know,
things have started to slow down. All the holiday photos
are starting to filter ound as everyone's well, they must
be on the way, not already there.
Speaker 1 (39:16):
Yeah, everyone's putting their T shirts back on and heading
for the Alps.
Speaker 3 (39:19):
Yeah yeah, work duties are back on. What have we
got one day? Sixteen hours for seven minutes and forty
six seconds by the website till kick off.
Speaker 1 (39:33):
Yeah, so everyone is gonna. Yeah, they've packed the packed
their flip flops away, T shirts are on, as I say,
abs are hidden again, and they're heading up to the
mountains of os.
Speaker 2 (39:45):
Yes, they're off to sing with the Von.
Speaker 1 (39:47):
Traps exactly, exactly, And that, then, Steve does bring us
nicely to the end of the news. So let's take
a quick break, and then when we come back we
will talk about the Von Traps, and no we won't,
but we will talk about Austria. Okay, excellent. So guys
bear with us for just one moment and we will
be right back with you. Mind good, Thank you for
(40:29):
wearing with us, Thank you for bearing with us. We
are back. Bladders are empty, bars are full, and I've
already tripped over my words. So what you're going to do.
Let's talk Austria, Steve.
Speaker 3 (40:41):
Yes, let's talk all things Austria. Looking forward to this
it would be a good, good weekend.
Speaker 1 (40:47):
Austria is usually a pretty good race mate, and weird
shit happens. I feel like I've been saying that a
lot in the last few races. Weird ship just happens here,
But weird stuff does happen in Austria. Brad Binda wins
on slicks in the web. Not Brad Binda doesn't win
on slicks in the web. He does that, Bruno. Brad
Binder doesn't win anything in Austria as far as I'm aware.
But who does win things here? Valentiner Rossie manages to
(41:09):
survive occasionally here.
Speaker 2 (41:12):
Just dodges a few flying bikes.
Speaker 1 (41:15):
Quite Mark Marquez has never won in Austria. That feels
like a weird thing.
Speaker 2 (41:20):
No, that is going to be one for the books.
There's weegained quite so.
Speaker 1 (41:25):
Yes, there's lots of that can happen. I've just forgotten
many of them.
Speaker 2 (41:30):
Yeah, me too.
Speaker 3 (41:30):
I was trying to remember, like all that's happened, and
the only pointed one that sticks out is that crash.
Speaker 2 (41:34):
Because it was obviously the thing, the most memorable.
Speaker 1 (41:38):
But there we are, yes, So what are we looking
for in Austria? Then, Steve will the Marquez domination continue.
I'm expecting to see both of the Marquez brothers crush
it in Austria. Alex is currently riding the best bike
on the grid and one that is well suited to
the Red Bull Ring. And Mark is Mark Mark. Yeah,
(42:00):
love said, yeah quite, And he's on this amazing run
of form right now. But last year the podium was
made up of three GP twenty fours, with the GP
twenty three at the time of mart Marquez rounding out
the top four. But as I said, he has never
won in Austria, So will the pressure of the mountains
get to him, or as per usual, would he just
(42:21):
shrug it off and go and win six on the bounce.
Speaker 2 (42:25):
I think he's just gonna shrug it off. If I'm modest.
I think he's on such a run of form. And
you know he's already one what was the other draft
he done one out which he did this year? Bloody ell,
I can't remember now, great question.
Speaker 1 (42:39):
Let's have a look at the races he's won this year, Steve.
He has one in Thailand, he'd won there before, He's
won Argentina he's won there before. Katari's wonderfore Haragon It'saly, Netherlands,
Germany and Bruno. I think he's won all of them,
is he not?
Speaker 2 (42:55):
Yes, anyway, he's gonna win.
Speaker 1 (43:00):
Yeah, yeah, Okay, it's hard to imagine anyone else winning,
but you know, yeah, with the.
Speaker 3 (43:05):
Run of form, he's rewriting the rule books. This year,
he's back on top. You know, his little brother's still
doing outstanding things. It's hard to write them off. The
only guys that trip these two upper themselves. So yeah,
in my eyes, normal service.
Speaker 2 (43:22):
Is just going to resume.
Speaker 1 (43:24):
Yeah, I suspect. So I wonder what the weather is
supposed to be doing in the red bull winging.
Speaker 2 (43:29):
I haven't even looked. That's a very good point.
Speaker 1 (43:33):
Let me have a quick look. Oh look at that.
According to Google, Friday cloudy with sun, Saturday rain precipitation
at its highest at the between twelve and two. Okay,
Sunday rain precipitation its highest between eleven and three. So
(43:54):
we could be seeing a wet or mixed condition weekend,
which you know what I mean. Steve mar Marquez is
just gonna walk away with it or Mark Marquez is
going to go I've got one hundred and twenty point
leading this championship. I'm not fucking crashing. I'm going to
finish third.
Speaker 2 (44:08):
Yeah, this could be a hard one the call.
Speaker 3 (44:10):
Actually, if that weather does go that way, you can't
see him doing anything but absolutely giving it one hundred
and fifty percent.
Speaker 1 (44:19):
So I can see him raining in a little bit,
you know, for this second part of the year to
be like, my points gap is huge if I have
to finish second, I'm just gonna finish second.
Speaker 2 (44:28):
Yeah, that's exactly where they're going with that. Into the
worlds out of my mouth. You know.
Speaker 3 (44:32):
When he's looking at this run of form and he
looks at that buffer, it's like this is just not
worth any kind of risk.
Speaker 1 (44:39):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (44:40):
Yeah, he will still give it his awe, but with
a very calculated approach, if you will.
Speaker 1 (44:50):
Or the old mart Marques will take over, as tends
to happen in races, and he'll forget about his calculated
approach and just go helpful other.
Speaker 2 (44:56):
Yeah, it's going to be one or the other. There's
not gonna be any.
Speaker 1 (45:01):
No, absolutely not.
Speaker 2 (45:03):
He will still find the limit.
Speaker 1 (45:06):
Yes, quite, But do you know what if he's second
and Alex is riding in front of him first, he
might go, I'm not bothering to make a lunch here.
I'd make the lunge on Pecko, I'd make the lunge
on anyone else, but I'm not going to risk it
on Alex. I'm just going to take twenty points a
second and that's me.
Speaker 2 (45:20):
Yeah, yeah, I agree with that.
Speaker 1 (45:22):
Clue the rest of the Ducats. Then, Steve Peco Bagnaia
has reigned supreme at this track, winning the last three
Grand PRIs. Can he bounce back from what's been a
dismal season by his own lofty standards.
Speaker 2 (45:39):
I'd like to think so at this track.
Speaker 3 (45:42):
I think this is one considering his form in previous
years here where we could see a very competitive Pecko.
I think that the person that we're going to see
on this track this weekend, after the summer break fingers
crossed and hopefully it's quite rejuvenated to the Pecko that
we've seen in the last few races.
Speaker 2 (46:02):
Quite beaten, forlorn and just almost in.
Speaker 3 (46:08):
It's kind of what appears to be a mindset of
I've already been beaten, that's it, it's over. I think he's quick,
he has had some.
Speaker 2 (46:19):
Seriously good results here.
Speaker 3 (46:21):
I'm just really hoping that he comes back after the
summer break and has just got an extra something about
him that he can battle.
Speaker 1 (46:31):
That would be nice to see, and I imagine we
are going to see it for the first half of
the race, but I don't think it's going to last
the entire race, and I hope it does.
Speaker 3 (46:41):
I am so desperate for that three way at the front.
You know, that threesome between the Marquez brothers with a
Peco filling.
Speaker 1 (46:51):
There's some fanfic going on here, Steve.
Speaker 3 (46:57):
Yeah, it's just it would be so fantastic to see
these three guys at the peak right now, just battling
at the front, no holes barred, rating and just go
for it.
Speaker 2 (47:11):
This is the one where I'm really hoping we get it.
Speaker 1 (47:16):
Yes, and I think there's a chance because this is
but then we thought there was going to be a
chance at Oh Wow. So we thought there was going
to be a chance for this in Migello, but it's
not happening.
Speaker 3 (47:31):
So it's the places like the form that Peg goes
on is such a contrast to the form.
Speaker 2 (47:37):
That Marcus is on.
Speaker 3 (47:40):
It's you know, every time we say it's going to
be this weekend, we're gonna see this amazing battle it
just does not come off. I just every time we talk, sure,
every every podcast, if we go back at this and
this weekend, it's going to happen.
Speaker 2 (47:54):
This weekend's going to happen. This weekend's going to happen.
It's gonna have at some point.
Speaker 1 (48:02):
I hope, so, Steve, I really hope so, but I just, yeah,
I'm not optimistic. I just gave a bit of a
wow there because I went onto archive of our own
dot org, which is this the biggest and most famous
kind of fanfic website, and I thought I'd just hype
in Mark Marquez and see if anything came up. Well,
(48:24):
my good friend, Steve, a lot has come up. It
turns out there is a lot of mature rated fanfic
based on Mark Marquez.
Speaker 2 (48:38):
There is one back up what fanfic? What the hell
is this?
Speaker 1 (48:44):
I figure, I'm fixed, Steve.
Speaker 2 (48:46):
You really like me here, man, This is the first
time I've heard about it.
Speaker 1 (48:50):
Okay, so is it like the whole writing exactly? But
it's all kind of it's uploaded by users, so it's
all user generated content. It's all free. It's on there.
I've got one here.
Speaker 2 (49:03):
Called I knock one out to Rasin.
Speaker 1 (49:07):
No, there's one called Miya is Mine, which is about
Mark Marquez. This starts with have you ever drive two
hundred and fifty kilometers an hour on a motorbike with
the person you love? I have? It was the craziest
thing I've ever done. My boyfriend Mark will do crazy
things as long as he is still breathing, But strangely,
(49:29):
when he is with me, I will feel like the
luckiest woman in the world. And then Mark portrayed Mia again,
and this time Mark had to pay dearly for that.
His rival Vignalees offers me a new love for Mia.
In the midst of confusion, Danny as their friend, tried
to give revelation. Who will still have Mia?
Speaker 2 (49:50):
What the hell?
Speaker 1 (49:52):
Yeah, so there's just this is just on archive our
own dot org And then you just use the search
well and you type in Mark Marquez and you see
what comes up? This one. Yeah, this is has this
got any sexy time in it? This one I've got
(50:13):
here because this is a.
Speaker 2 (50:15):
Is this what you spend your downtime doing?
Speaker 1 (50:19):
I just like to see what's going on in the
world of fan fixed, Dave. You know, there's some interesting
things that happen I'm.
Speaker 2 (50:24):
Happy with my own little bubble.
Speaker 1 (50:27):
Oh this one could be grim. Oh yeah, this one's
going to be grim.
Speaker 2 (50:31):
This one for the hell of it, just to you know.
Speaker 1 (50:36):
Trigger. Yeah, so trigger warning here for this story, which
I've not opened, but it has got the the tags
of rape and non consensual Mark Marquez, Mere careful, Alex Marquez,
Mark Marquez, Mark Marquez, Fabia Cortraro, Mark Marquez, Vantine and
Rossi andred of it zero Mark Marquez. Yeah, it seems
(51:01):
like a bit of a grim one. The it's also
got the tag of blow jobs. So yeah, there's some
there's some interesting things are going on the internet.
Speaker 2 (51:10):
Mate, there is right, have some sage. Let's get this
spirit out of you.
Speaker 1 (51:15):
Here's one here called Free Practice one. The paddock was buzzing,
the tension and very nervous energy. The engines were growling
as the teammates made final adjustments. Scent of choking fuel
in the air. FP one just minutes away. But Mark
wasn't in his Ducati garage. His eyes were fixated on
the blue Grassini garage.
Speaker 2 (51:40):
I'm just saging you over here. Get these fucking bad thoughts.
Speaker 1 (51:45):
So there you go, Stave, there is there is a
whole world that you did not know about.
Speaker 2 (51:51):
Yeah, you're not kidding. I'm quite happy in my own
little light.
Speaker 3 (51:54):
I live in the fifties, you know, I ride bike
in the fifties and sixties, and.
Speaker 2 (51:59):
I'm happy to on here. You know. Just sorry, I'm
just letting the say so I can get this ship
out of you.
Speaker 1 (52:09):
Oh this is a good one here. Valentino was a
good mentor. A good mentor shared everything with his students,
even his boyfriend. Jesus dude, Oh wow, some of these, mate,
these are gold. It's Danny's birthday, Alex Mark Stephan put
(52:31):
their heads together to give him the best birthday ever.
Speaker 2 (52:34):
I bet they did what. I don't even know how
you find this ship.
Speaker 1 (52:40):
You got no where to look, man. The Internet's a
wonderful place.
Speaker 3 (52:44):
It's a wonderful place. I'm quite happy with. Just you know,
the fear of Sarah Press and p on the laptop.
Speaker 1 (52:59):
Maybe we'll do a patre on one day where we
just read out some motor gp E rottica.
Speaker 3 (53:04):
That's I don't even know how to answer that.
Speaker 1 (53:09):
I see. I'm happy.
Speaker 2 (53:13):
I'm going to sit over here with a little bit
of sandal wooden stage and just like pray for you.
Speaker 1 (53:20):
Bring it, Steve.
Speaker 2 (53:22):
It's still is.
Speaker 1 (53:24):
The sage is burning. It's going to burn the house down.
Oh God, you can't put the sage out. And it's
all thanks to the fan fic that is still smoking away. Mate,
I wouldn't put that on top of the paper.
Speaker 2 (53:36):
It's notice in the alabasta shell on the alder.
Speaker 1 (53:41):
Oh there we go. Job done. Consider the room cleansed
and the bad thoughts coming from the internet have been
wiped away.
Speaker 2 (53:49):
Literally, the laptop's definitely cleansed, which is probably not bad.
Speaker 1 (53:55):
But let's bring it back then to the rest of
the do catties at Austria. Neither Morbidelli or Digi have
had any real standout results in Motor GP at Austria,
but that could change. I mean, Morbidelli's most famous moment
is probably that collision Misarco that nearly killed the afore
mentioned Fantine Rossi Americ Vignalis.
Speaker 2 (54:13):
I'm surprised he still comes back.
Speaker 3 (54:16):
Yeah, quite, you know when the restar could go He's like, no, mate,
I'm sitting this fucker out.
Speaker 2 (54:24):
But yeah, another of.
Speaker 3 (54:24):
These guys have really had stand up performances here, so
everything they get that is good, I would say, is
a bonus.
Speaker 1 (54:33):
Yes quite. And Aldigare has also failed to make an
impact during his outings at the circuit. They've all come
in Moto too, obviously, but either Moto two he's not
had any results that you kind of go, oh, yeah,
Agre could be really good here.
Speaker 2 (54:46):
Yeah exactly.
Speaker 3 (54:47):
So I don't know anything the other guys get apart
from Peco, Mark and Alex is just going to be
a bonus, yeah quite. But all eyes are going to
be on hopefully the three that are rubbing shoulders and
paint work at the front.
Speaker 1 (55:02):
Yes exactly. And let's not forget this is KTM's home round.
Austra is the home of KTM, so they are going
to be under some pressure coming into this race. And
I really want to see how a Coster reacts to
this and whether he will be back on pace as
he was in Bruno or whether he's going to be
back to being a little bit petulant about things.
Speaker 2 (55:22):
I think, all things considered, he's probably going to be
a very good boy this weekend.
Speaker 3 (55:28):
I think he might have realized he overstepped the mark
if he will and really needs to perform. And with
have we had confirmation that Vinyallas is back this weekend.
Speaker 2 (55:39):
He is at he.
Speaker 1 (55:41):
I haven't seen confirmation that he will be, but I
feel like it would have been announced already if he wasn't.
Speaker 2 (55:45):
Yeah, yeah, that's very true.
Speaker 3 (55:47):
So with Viniella's also having some very good results, these
two are potentially going to be battling for like P
one in the KTM standings, hopefully benders up there as well,
hopefully four of them up there, and they're all having
some good results at home and doing a fantastic job.
Speaker 2 (56:07):
But I don't know a cost of this weekend. I
think after his misgivings, really needs to put in a show.
Speaker 1 (56:14):
Yeah, yeah, I agree completely. And you know what, Binda
did win here when it rained, didn't he He won
that race in Bruno on like his third outing ever,
and then he won that race here by being on
the slicks when it rained and everyone else boxed. Yes, yeah, okay,
I corrected myself incorrectly earlier, but yeah, he did win
at Austria on the slicks.
Speaker 2 (56:35):
Yes, I'm sure. If we're wrong, people, you know what
to do.
Speaker 1 (56:40):
Exactly. Tell me whether I was wrong the first time
or wrong the second time. Either way, I was wrong
we covered all exactly Christ, But you're right, vinale Is,
it's going to be interesting see how he gets on.
Just you know, whether that form he was and the
momentum he had going on can continue after his his
(57:01):
injury and his slightly longer summer break, or whether he's
going to be very vignyardles about the situation and going
to be doing weird things all weekend. Who knows, but
it's going to be. There's a chance that vignard Is
or a Costa can get on the podium this weekend,
and that will be I'm sure KTM would be super
super stoked if either of them manage it.
Speaker 2 (57:22):
Yeah. Sorry, my house is about to burn down.
Speaker 1 (57:25):
I'm just stage still burning away.
Speaker 2 (57:27):
Yeah, but setting far to the cattie with your fur
key in it.
Speaker 1 (57:30):
Oh no, yeah, it's good.
Speaker 2 (57:32):
I got some sandal wood in the back for a
bit of extious smell, so that, oh dear, it's all good.
Speaker 1 (57:40):
It's all good.
Speaker 3 (57:41):
I'm fresh into the catty. They and my ear plugs
from the phil engineer, so real good.
Speaker 1 (57:45):
Oh that's good.
Speaker 2 (57:46):
Yeah, predators just sat in the tree watching.
Speaker 1 (57:50):
That's per usual. That's pro usual. Literally different films, seeing
which one it likes the best. It's there in its eyepiece,
scrolling through archives of everything, just reading mar Marqus fiction right.
Speaker 2 (58:04):
Now, Yeah, loving it.
Speaker 1 (58:07):
I bet there's some good credit of fiction on there.
I'm not gonna.
Speaker 2 (58:17):
Right down. We'll add this to the list of what
Tim's fan fix.
Speaker 1 (58:23):
Yeah, I can print you some off. If you like Steve,
you can take home with you.
Speaker 2 (58:26):
No, no, no.
Speaker 1 (58:29):
Please, finally Steve Joe Martin. Obviously there's gonna be plenty
of eyes on the current work rating champion. He finished
second here last year, but I'm not expecting to repeat that.
But a top six would be a really good result
in my opinion, and step up from what he did
in the last round and a solid result. I'm hoping
(58:49):
he manages to himself a top six in the Grand Prix.
Speaker 2 (58:52):
Mate, I'm pegging him even high. I'm going the top five,
top five.
Speaker 3 (58:58):
Extra time to recover, juvenated, all the hype of being
back on the bike or you know, just I don't
know how to describe it, just everything just rebeing back fit.
Speaker 2 (59:11):
You know, he's had a very good summer break.
Speaker 3 (59:13):
You look at socials, but it's a fantastic places training
looks rejuvenated, looks happy. I think we're going to see.
Speaker 2 (59:23):
A different kind of Wohe this weekend.
Speaker 1 (59:25):
And this will be the fittest to Hey we will
have seen since his first injury.
Speaker 2 (59:30):
Probably yeah yeah, literally just after he won the title. Yeah, zah,
I'm going top five.
Speaker 1 (59:39):
Okay, I'm still going to stick with a top six
will be a cracking result, but either way, I'll be
super tough for him if he manages it.
Speaker 2 (59:45):
I'm going top five down.
Speaker 1 (59:47):
Okay. Well, that then, Steve does bring us on to
our predictions for the weekend. Let's do it, bet, So
you are beating me here. You're nine points ahead of
me in our predictions, Lee, that you and I have
got going on, and for anyone, for anyone that's managed
to get to this point of the show, who's new.
(01:00:08):
I might be very impressed if you have with the tangents, and.
Speaker 3 (01:00:11):
They as well make because they're lost as hell.
Speaker 2 (01:00:14):
That what the fuck are we talking about?
Speaker 1 (01:00:16):
They're like archive of everything dot org. I'm writing that
one down. I'll send you a link, Layer Mate. It's okay,
but this is our prediction league. Steve and I predict
the podium finishers for both the Sprint and the Grand
Prix in the most CHP class, and we give ourselves
points depending on how our predictions do. It's three points
(01:00:38):
if you get a rider in the correct position on
the podium and one point if you get a rider
on the podium in incorrect position. As I said, Steve
is beating me by nine points. Currently, I'm on ninety
six season one hundred and five, so you know it's
there's still something to play for here. It's not all
over just yet.
Speaker 2 (01:00:54):
No, No, it's there's a long way to go. There's time, there's.
Speaker 1 (01:00:59):
A long way to go. Half season to go. Yeah,
I can claw back nine points, but I'm not going
to be doing it this weekend because I think the
top two are easy to predict. So for the sprint,
I am predicting a Mark Marquez win and Alex Marquez second,
ad a Pedro Acosta third.
Speaker 2 (01:01:15):
Nice. Nice, indeed, I like that one. Mine's not dissimilar obviously,
Marquez brothers one and.
Speaker 1 (01:01:23):
Two in what order?
Speaker 2 (01:01:25):
Oh? That order of course, Mark and Alex and Alex.
Speaker 3 (01:01:30):
Yeah, the heads and outside bet that mister Bazeki is
going to have a good sprint.
Speaker 1 (01:01:38):
Nice. I like that. Yeah, that's a nice one. And
your grand Prix prediction.
Speaker 4 (01:01:43):
Steve, similar to yours, Mark and Alex one two of obviously, yeah,
but over the longevity the Peco bag Ni.
Speaker 1 (01:01:54):
Yeah, that's exactly my prediction for the Grand Prix as well.
Speaker 2 (01:01:58):
I just think over the over the full rays, he'll
get it going.
Speaker 1 (01:02:02):
Yeah, I suspect he will do so. I suspect he
will have the pace to beat most other riders out there.
If he doesn't finish third, I imagine he finishes fourth,
but that would still score me no points. So I'm
putting in third.
Speaker 2 (01:02:14):
Yeah, yeah, definitely.
Speaker 1 (01:02:17):
And then that's Steve. That's our prediction is done. Don't
forget everyone to update your fantasy leagues weekend coming up.
We'll see what happens there. And then that does bring
us to the end of the show.
Speaker 2 (01:02:30):
That is it, mate, that is it. We roll forward
to a Friday.
Speaker 1 (01:02:35):
We roll forward to Friday. We'll actually you and I
roll forward to tomorrow where we are asking to Marshall. Mark.
Speaker 2 (01:02:40):
We have Mark Marky Market the Orange Bunch.
Speaker 1 (01:02:44):
Yeah exactly, So we'll be chatting to Mark tomorrow. If
you have any burning questions you've always wanted to ask
a motive GP Marshal Then and you're listening to this
on the day it's released, then you've got approximately eight
hours to send those over to us and we will
them to Mark and Mark. If not, we are just
gonna be asking them our own questions. So yeah, if
(01:03:05):
you don't want to hear just the bullshit we come
up with, then please do get in touch and give
us some questions.
Speaker 2 (01:03:10):
Yeah, we'll be speaking to someone who's actually in.
Speaker 1 (01:03:13):
The know exactly exactly. So if you guys have any
other questions, any comments, anything you want to say to us,
you can find us on.
Speaker 2 (01:03:24):

Speaker 1 (01:03:43):
Is that you inviting people to your house or are
you encouraging people to invite their friends to their own houses?
Speaker 3 (01:03:47):
Ill then come to mind. If they want, I'm quite
happy for people to come here. We'll have a motor
GP party. We'll drink some beers and we'll watch the
race in everyone's welcome.
Speaker 1 (01:03:56):
Excellent. Look at that. You wait, mate, someday you can
give your people outdoor.
Speaker 2 (01:04:00):
Screwed, absolutely screwed.
Speaker 3 (01:04:02):
Luckily, I don't think anyone knows my full address, just
the tenor.
Speaker 1 (01:04:06):
That's probably fair.
Speaker 2 (01:04:07):
Yeah. God, if I see trapes the people running around going.
Speaker 1 (01:04:10):
Steve, yeah, you are normally mate.
Speaker 2 (01:04:13):
No, not no idea, not me, not me, low hats,
dark glasses. It's all good for that little seriousness of
one day. We should probably do a watch party. That
would be fantastic.
Speaker 1 (01:04:24):
That would be fun. Yeah, that would be fun one day.
Speaker 2 (01:04:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:04:27):
But guys, if you've got anything, like Tim said, you've
got any questions you want us to put to Mark,
you've got to be quick because.
Speaker 2 (01:04:33):
Obviously we're going to speak to him later on Wednesday.
So if you're listening any later, tough luck. Drop us
a line, drop us to your questions. We are for
the Love of Motor GP at gmail dot.
Speaker 1 (01:04:46):

for our next show that we will be recording in
the next week or two, but that will be September show.
(01:05:06):
I think August is not yet up. It'll be up
in a couple of weeks.
Speaker 2 (01:05:09):
So I'm just putting out to catty fire over here.
Speaker 1 (01:05:12):
Oh, Steve still got fire going over there, so I
think that is about time for us to end. So guys,
thank you all very much for listening. We will speak
to you next week after the Red Bull Ring. Stay
safe and look after each other. Good Bye, guys. Music
is by Andrew Greenwood. Thanks for listening. Goodbye.
