we met a couple of years ago, and you guys are not able to

come to the warehouse when I hadthe warehouse up and we had the warehouse
going for about six and a halfalmost seven years, and that was great
one run. That was a greatseason. But I'm happy about this new
season and new things guy is doingin Vegas here with club his hot.
So we want to die in yourstory. We want to get that personal

touch from y'all before we actually getinto your ministry getting to your music.
So sweet Tea, I'm gonna pickon you first, okay. I just
want us to share your story morespecifically, when did you accept Christ into

your life? Like what are thecircumstances around you receiving Christ and then deciding
to use your gifts to minister forhim. I first gave my life to
Christ. I was about eight yearsold. I got baptized at a Baptist
(06:15):
church here and gas on your NorthCarolina. I was just passionate about his
words. Two scriptures stood out tome very young. The first one I
ever learned was training a child upin the way they should go, and
when they get older, we'll notdepart from it. And the next scripture
(06:38):
was when my father and mother forsave me, then the Lord to take
care of me. And I've beenyouth, and my youth, my parents
had some struggles. So I wasbeing raised by my grandparents, and God
is who I held on too.I learned he was real. I knew
he was real. I just sireto not knowing at the time, as

at eight years old, and Iwas begging in him, but desiring his
hold his present. I just wantedto see him. I just wanted to
be able to touch him as muchas I was touching my sisters or my
grandparents. So I went in thebathroom and I shut the door, and
I asked the Lord to let mesee him and not knowing what I was

experienced at the time, I knownow the consuming fire overtook me in my
bathroom at eight years old, andI began to battle with demons then because
I you know, I knit mymy home wasn't set in that atmosphere for
real. But my grandfather stepped upand begin to teach me some things about

God, and I strayed like peopledo as they get older. Had still
challenges in my teenage years and fossomhome group. I'm type thing because of
the things I was going through andbeginning to thug it out in the streets.
And I said, I but gettinga rappid She'd probably go in more

details about that. And we startedout with you know, our still testimony,
but it was connected to the streetlife we was living and the fighting
and things that we were doing.And and then I gave my life back
to Christ. I rededicated myself abouteighteen, and then I really took it

serious in my early twenties. Amen. Amen, that was awesome. That
was an awesome testimony, y'all.And it's what I really love about it
is that God touched you at ayoung age. You said, they started
about eight years old, and sothat's usually when God starts to move in

our lives. I was fifteen whenI came to Christ, and I remember
it like it was yesterday. Iremember the room I was in, I
remember the window I was looking outof, and and God just made a
huge impact on my life. Sothank you for sharing Sis. We appreciate

glory. I'm so excited to sharingpart of my testimony as you you could
see or may here. I'm Icyand Sweet Tea. It's my twin sisters.
So we are twins. A lotof people say we would look at

to make sure people. But anyway, so I said that much to say
that. Around the same time Sweett share that her coming of Christ was

it was mine as well. Weactually started together in the Baptist church.
We was baptized together. But theway that God touched me was through these
songs, the hymns, the choir, and I remember the first song that
just brought tears to my eyes andjust I just felt it. And it

was when a mother was sinking onthe choir, and the lyrics said,
take up your cross and lift itto Jesus. And I said, my
God, take up the cross.What does that mean? Then the lyrics
kept going and saying if you withoutthere is no reason, and that to
(11:00):
me, So if I don't havenothing, I shouldn't be without it,
you know. And I was justa child, but those two lines in
that song was like, I needto go to Christ. That helped me
through whatever it is I'm feeling becauseit was very negative. Because being a
(11:22):
I thank God for my grandparents.My grandparents did it. I feel like
my grandparents did an awesome god jobraising me and teaching me about Christ.
But any child can tell you thatthe love of a mother, the love
of a father having their absence,it's a pain and it's really avoid there
(11:45):
and can't nobody feel it but God. And so when we was baptized,
you know, together at that church, it was from there that I know
it's a lot of negative things fromthe people around us, the judgment of
adults in the church towards us.And with me being the oldest sister,

I became very protective. And becauseI became protective, and because I,
and I noticed these things, Ibecame very angry and only twenty six minutes
older. But it's a it's reallybut it's really a sincere depth of passionate
(12:35):
of protection that I felt all mylife because I remember the scripture and my
grandparents said, treat others the wayyou wanted to be treated. I wanted
a big brother, a protector,and when I and I felt like I
couldn't be protected, then I wasgoing to protect. And that was every
(12:56):
single one of my siblings and mylove ones around me, that people that
people wanted to look down and showingall because we was having what I see
today or normal life challenges. Andyou know, just some of the things
like that is what made me passionateabout the field that I mean today as

being a license Stappust two classes awayfrom being a doctor of theology and grief
counseling, because I suffer a lotof laws even if I lost in my
childhood, and I understand that theemotional and mental health of people, the

enemy has taken that to use andmake us become sinners. Let's saying like
that sinners make us stay in sin. But the word of God let us
know that if we fall down,we can get up. All we have
to do is repent, try againevery day. When he gives us the

mama to wake up in the morning. That's called new grace, new mercy.
So I thank God because I knowI made some harbor choices. But
guess what I know, I purposelymade some of those choices, and I
know how to repent. Amen,Amen, come on, these are some

you what I can relate to y'allbecause I saw some brokenness at a very
young age of my life. AndI've actually heard some menters say that when
you have a big calling in yourlife, when God is gonna use you

in a mighty way, a lotof people come from a broken place.
I'm gonna like, think of thelife of Moses. You know, they
were killing all boys when he wasborn, and he had to they had
to hide him in the in theriver, and so he wouldn't get murdered.
And he couldn't grow up with hismom, you know, his natural
family. He had to grow upin the house at Pharaoh, and God

allow his sister to watch over him. So yeah, you know, it's
it's I'm starting to see it andI'm starting to understand it. And you
know, just stay encouraged because Godis gonna do or He is doing a
mighty work in y'all life, andyou guys are definitely gonna shed the light.
And so right now, I'm gonnaask both of you for someone who's

watching, someone who is listening tothis, and they're going through what you
guys been through already. They're goingthrough brokenness at a young age. There,
they're trying to feel avoid in theirlife and and they're trying to fill
it with maybe drugs or relationships orsomething like that. And we know that
that doesn't fulfil you know what Imean, what would you say to them?

How would you encourage them concerning thethings that you've already went through and
you got the victory of the wordof God. Mostly that's about I'm lacking
a little bit. But listen,I'm reminded of Jeremiah twenty nine and the

leaven that God has a plan anda purpose for you to succeed and not
to fail. You know it.It's the word of God that feels me
now. It's the word of Godthat fulfilled me there when I felt like
I was with out. And firstof all, I met my husband when

I was fifteen, But it wasn'tuntil I first built my relation ship with
God and got in his word enoughto know about me that I was even
able to be a wife in thismarriage as a young jab. I was
eighteen when I got married. Ihad to wait three years. But anyway,

so I would tell a person that'strying to cope with drugs, trying
to cope with sex texts, andnext you ain't doing nothing but adding to
the devil's game on your life.You know what I'm saying. We have
to get in the word, andthe word would tell us who we are,

you know I I it was descriptionlike I'm fiercely and wonderfully made.
It was it was those tithing thatsaid I knew you before I even and
I placed you in your mother's womband have a plan and a perfect It's
it's things like that that reminded methat I'm here. I'm not yere for

no reason, that there's something Godis trying to get out of me.
And I'm also reminded now in mymaturity that every time I go through a
circle says that that's a more oilcomment that I can't only get the oil
when it's pressed, when it's ina squeezing. So when you're in a
squeezing in a present, the onlything you need to do is get in

the present of God and say,what are you trying to get out of
me? Just get it out?Yeah, surrender, that's it. A
man, that's real, that's real. And I heard that come from your

And I mean yes. Only aperson who can go through that,
come out on the other side andvictory and actually have Jesus in their heart,
actually allow God to manifest his power, his love, his victory,
all that, all the good thingswe get from God. Man, only

that type of person can speak likethat. So we appreciate your sister,
because there's a lot of people,you know, you've ran into people they
talk about God, but they're notreally living that life. But I can
tell that that y'all are living thatlife. Y'all got that oil, you
know what I mean, y'all gotthat juice, that anointing, all that

my relationship with Christ was drawn throughmusic at a young age. So it
sounds that God really gives me inmy head. It's the lyrics that He
gives me in my mind and inmy heart. And then these songs are
written and my husband produces the music, and you know, I take it.

We prayed and we got the scripture, and I speak with sweet teeth.
I was like this one I got. And then she writes her lyrics
and we get into it. Sothis song never let up. Fortunately,
our cousin Warren Wood wrote this hookafter we had a conversation because he works

close with my husband and I andbecause he was dream Team. He was
in a group the male Version ofUs, and we had a conversation.
Now it's like, it's just somuch going on with hate. You think
that when you get out of theworld and you're going to the church that
things to be different. But whatI understand is people is going to be

people. And the Word of Godtells me that whenever I'm doing good,
even it's always present. Therefore comeon. So it's no way that just
because I'm changing, don't mean thatthe enemy is not gonna use someone closest
to me or in my circle totry to attack me. And attacks come

through hatred, envy, all thethings that are not of God. So
the fact that we came through somany different struggles, like we haven't even
given you half, but the testimonywe gave you a good general's peace,
not even a summary. But wewent through struggles that we could not give

up. You know, we couldnot let go. We had the old

we wanted to people to have fun, the the youth, the young adults,
the young in heart. Because Icould be seventy nine years old.

my god, my husband he's actuallymy husband is the producer, right,

cousin Cahari, and and my husbandhis step thought was three it was four
guys and Carlos. It was fourguys. And my husband said he taught
me one day. He was like, I want to produced music. That's

we was in our early twenties.It was back in life two thousand maybe
I'm gonna say two thousand and five, two thousand and six. And he
went in purchased to all of thisboard, all these mid serious and everything,
and he was telling me what hewanted to do at I just took

my role as a wife to bea helpmate helped me to my husband.
And since he was sharing this dreamwith me, I felt like, Okay,
then I'm going to support you everyway that I can. And to
be honest, my grandparents had keptSweet t and I and my mother we

we kept us in fashion shows talentshows when we was growing up, but
they was out and they I wasin the Christian right. Uh. And
so when my after my husband toldme, I decided to support him.
I went to my sister, Well, I went to several sisters. It's

it's not just sweet Tea. Andnow we have several sists. I'm like,
when they have four guys, hegonna make a four guy group,
we can make a four girl group. I'm gonna get my I'm gonna get
three of my sisters. And weactually started in a closet recording and uh,
it was it was settling music,but it was still our testimony.

I'm gonna say that much, right. And we was having fun. We
was going to the nightclubs doing themusic. People was loving it. We
noticed it and just over the timeand they was the males was called dream
team, So I said, okay, y'all dream team then were the Queen's

just like that, you know,And that's how we don't forget and don't
forget black Brown. Don't forget Blairblah, black Brown. It's my brother
in law with your sweet tea.He's husband, he's the vocal. Yeah,
he's he's he seems on blessom.He's us a vocal. So it's

a it's a family thing. It'slike, you know, my husband had
to dream, he said, sinceit's a dream. My dream is.
His dream was for us to besuccessful, for us to be able to
use our talents to reach people.That that was his thing. So I
was like, well, we'll bethe queens. We'll reach people. But

then when God brought us, becausesometimes we would go to the club on
Saturday night, come home two o'clock, e o'clock in the morning, and
still get up and go to churchright and and then it was like it's
just like God just laid on ourheart probably about i'm gonna say about two
thousand and six, two thousand andseven, that he couldn't keep striving with

things. We had to come backand pull effect effect to our first love.
So it was after that Sweet Tearand I had a conversation. It
was like, we're not gonna keepwearing in these songs. We could tell
the same story without doing all thisextra stuff that seeing we know better.

than if we would have went somewhereand gotten drunk and high, and you
know we're out there trying to fulfillthe lust of our flesh and all that.

we met a couple of years ago, and you guys are not able to

come to the warehouse when I hadthe warehouse up and we had the warehouse
going for about six and a halfalmost seven years, and that was great
one run. That was a greatseason. But I'm happy about this new
season and new things guy is doingin Vegas here with club his hot.
So we want to die in yourstory. We want to get that personal

touch from y'all before we actually getinto your ministry getting to your music.
So sweet Tea, I'm gonna pickon you first, okay. I just
want us to share your story morespecifically, when did you accept Christ into
(05:53):
your life? Like what are thecircumstances around you receiving Christ and then deciding
to use your gifts to minister forhim. I first gave my life to
Christ. I was about eight yearsold. I got baptized at a Baptist
(06:15):
church here and gas on your NorthCarolina. I was just passionate about his
words. Two scriptures stood out tome very young. The first one I
ever learned was training a child upin the way they should go, and
when they get older, we'll notdepart from it. And the next scripture
(06:38):
was when my father and mother forsave me, then the Lord to take
care of me. And I've beenyouth, and my youth, my parents
had some struggles. So I wasbeing raised by my grandparents, and God
is who I held on too.I learned he was real. I knew
he was real. I just sireto not knowing at the time, as
(07:02):
at eight years old, and Iwas begging in him, but desiring his
hold his present. I just wantedto see him. I just wanted to
be able to touch him as muchas I was touching my sisters or my
grandparents. So I went in thebathroom and I shut the door, and
I asked the Lord to let mesee him and not knowing what I was
(07:26):
experienced at the time, I knownow the consuming fire overtook me in my
bathroom at eight years old, andI began to battle with demons then because
I you know, I knit mymy home wasn't set in that atmosphere for
real. But my grandfather stepped upand begin to teach me some things about
(07:53):
God, and I strayed like peopledo as they get older. Had still
challenges in my teenage years and fossomhome group. I'm type thing because of
the things I was going through andbeginning to thug it out in the streets.
And I said, I but gettinga rappid She'd probably go in more

details about that. And we startedout with you know, our still testimony,
but it was connected to the streetlife we was living and the fighting
and things that we were doing.And and then I gave my life back
to Christ. I rededicated myself abouteighteen, and then I really took it

serious in my early twenties. Amen. Amen, that was awesome. That
was an awesome testimony, y'all.And it's what I really love about it
is that God touched you at ayoung age. You said, they started
about eight years old, and sothat's usually when God starts to move in

our lives. I was fifteen whenI came to Christ, and I remember
it like it was yesterday. Iremember the room I was in, I
remember the window I was looking outof, and and God just made a
huge impact on my life. Sothank you for sharing Sis. We appreciate

glory. I'm so excited to sharingpart of my testimony as you you could
see or may here. I'm Icyand Sweet Tea. It's my twin sisters.
So we are twins. A lotof people say we would look at

Sam alike. You know. Sometimeswe have to introduce ourselves over the fille
to make sure people. But anyway, so I said that much to say
that. Around the same time Sweett share that her coming of Christ was

it was mine as well. Weactually started together in the Baptist church.
We was baptized together. But theway that God touched me was through these
songs, the hymns, the choir, and I remember the first song that
just brought tears to my eyes andjust I just felt it. And it
(10:35):
was when a mother was sinking onthe choir, and the lyrics said,
take up your cross and lift itto Jesus. And I said, my
God, take up the cross.What does that mean? Then the lyrics
kept going and saying if you withoutthere is no reason, and that to
(11:00):
me, So if I don't havenothing, I shouldn't be without it,
you know. And I was justa child, but those two lines in
that song was like, I needto go to Christ. That helped me
through whatever it is I'm feeling becauseit was very negative. Because being a
(11:22):
I thank God for my grandparents.My grandparents did it. I feel like
my grandparents did an awesome god jobraising me and teaching me about Christ.
But any child can tell you thatthe love of a mother, the love
of a father having their absence,it's a pain and it's really avoid there
(11:45):
and can't nobody feel it but God. And so when we was baptized,
you know, together at that church, it was from there that I know
it's a lot of negative things fromthe people around us, the judgment of
adults in the church towards us.And with me being the oldest sister,
(12:13):
I became very protective. And becauseI became protective, and because I,
and I noticed these things, Ibecame very angry and only twenty six minutes
older. But it's a it's reallybut it's really a sincere depth of passionate
(12:35):
of protection that I felt all mylife because I remember the scripture and my
grandparents said, treat others the wayyou wanted to be treated. I wanted
a big brother, a protector,and when I and I felt like I
couldn't be protected, then I wasgoing to protect. And that was every
(12:56):
single one of my siblings and mylove ones around me, that people that
people wanted to look down and showingall because we was having what I see
today or normal life challenges. Andyou know, just some of the things
like that is what made me passionateabout the field that I mean today as

being a license Stappust two classes awayfrom being a doctor of theology and grief
counseling, because I suffer a lotof laws even if I lost in my
childhood, and I understand that theemotional and mental health of people, the
(13:39):
enemy has taken that to use andmake us become sinners. Let's saying like
that sinners make us stay in sin. But the word of God let us
know that if we fall down,we can get up. All we have
to do is repent, try againevery day. When he gives us the
(14:03):
mama to wake up in the morning. That's called new grace, new mercy.
So I thank God because I knowI made some harbor choices. But
guess what I know, I purposelymade some of those choices, and I
know how to repent. Amen,Amen, come on, these are some

I'm gonna like, think of thelife of Moses. You know, they
were killing all boys when he wasborn, and he had to they had
to hide him in the in theriver, and so he wouldn't get murdered.
And he couldn't grow up with hismom, you know, his natural
family. He had to grow upin the house at Pharaoh, and God

allow his sister to watch over him. So yeah, you know, it's
it's I'm starting to see it andI'm starting to understand it. And you
know, just stay encouraged because Godis gonna do or He is doing a
mighty work in y'all life, andyou guys are definitely gonna shed the light.
And so right now, I'm gonnaask both of you for someone who's

watching, someone who is listening tothis, and they're going through what you
guys been through already. They're goingthrough brokenness at a young age. There,
they're trying to feel avoid in theirlife and and they're trying to fill
it with maybe drugs or relationships orsomething like that. And we know that
that doesn't fulfil you know what Imean, what would you say to them?

How would you encourage them concerning thethings that you've already went through and
you got the victory of the wordof God. Mostly that's about I'm lacking
a little bit. But listen,I'm reminded of Jeremiah twenty nine and the

leaven that God has a plan anda purpose for you to succeed and not
to fail. You know it.It's the word of God that feels me
now. It's the word of Godthat fulfilled me there when I felt like
I was with out. And firstof all, I met my husband when

I was fifteen, But it wasn'tuntil I first built my relation ship with
God and got in his word enoughto know about me that I was even
able to be a wife in thismarriage as a young jab. I was
eighteen when I got married. Ihad to wait three years. But anyway,

so I would tell a person that'strying to cope with drugs, trying
to cope with sex texts, andnext you ain't doing nothing but adding to
the devil's game on your life.You know what I'm saying. We have
to get in the word, andthe word would tell us who we are,

you know I I it was descriptionlike I'm fiercely and wonderfully made.
It was it was those tithing thatsaid I knew you before I even and
I placed you in your mother's womband have a plan and a perfect It's
it's things like that that reminded methat I'm here. I'm not yere for

And I'm also reminded now in mymaturity that every time I go through a
circle says that that's a more oilcomment that I can't only get the oil
when it's pressed, when it's ina squeezing. So when you're in a
squeezing in a present, the onlything you need to do is get in

the present of God and say,what are you trying to get out of
me? Just get it out?Yeah, surrender, that's it. A

come out on the other side andvictory and actually have Jesus in their heart,
actually allow God to manifest his power, his love, his victory,

because there's a lot of people,you know, you've ran into people they
talk about God, but they're notreally living that life. But I can
tell that that y'all are living thatlife. Y'all got that oil, you

was going to the nightclubs doing themusic. People was loving it. We
