Speaker 1 (00:04):
All right, folks, it's time for my segment, my famous
or infamous segment, Five Random Questions. For the first time,
I've done this like almost 500 times. For the first time,
two people at once, which means I'm going to ask
them the same question, but each have.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
To give me their answer. Oh, boy.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
And that's going to be very interesting. So as you
guys know at home, I don't tell them the questions
ahead of time. There are four random questions, but the
fifth one I ask everyone.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
You should put us in the get smart cone of
silence so that we can't hear each other.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Wait, where's my shoes? I'm talking to the phone. Yes, no.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
No, it's going to be interesting because then you'll hear
each other tell what your things are.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
So you learn about your secret. I'm going to learn
about you. Then you're going to learn about each other.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
There you go.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
There you go.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
I love it. Okay. So you're ready to play five
random questions. Oh, sorry.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
These are my authors, Karen and Bill Brodsky. They have
a new book called Beyond Honor. You'll be able to
hear and watch that over, I don't know why I'm pointing,
but over there at the other show, it was your
face with James Lott Jr. It's a two for one-er
we do all the time. Are you ready to play
five random questions?

Speaker 2 (01:13):
We're ready. Ready. Okay. Question number one.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
You're on a road trip, probably together, maybe not, but
you're on your own. What is one artist, band, singer,
or music person that has.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
To be on the playlist? Peter Frampton. Oh, Peter Frampton
comes alive. Oh, you say YouTube girl?

Speaker 4 (01:37):
No, Billie Eilish for me.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Oh, I love her too, actually. She's really good.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:41):
I like that. That's an eclectic mix right there, too.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
I like that. Number two. It's around 2.30 in the afternoon.
You get that 2.30 feeling. And you're like a little peckish.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
What is the 230 feeling? I don't want to make
sure we get this right.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Maybe it's always the right answer over here. At JLJ Media,
there's no wrong answers. Meaning, you know, meaning, there was
that commercial saying that you get hungry at 230 for
some reason, which is kind of ironic. If you have
a regular job, a lot of times, you have the
little 10 o'clock morning, little break, lunch, and then before

(02:20):
you go off to work, it's like somewhere.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
Around 2, three you get.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
A little hungry or one more coffee or whatever that's
that's where it came from it's like commercial it's like
a 2 30 feeling it's usually about coffee or some
kind of energy drink so 2 30 meaning food what
is your go-to snack food.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Uh 2 30 is when i would if do do
we have a open bag of chips in the house
because sure.

Speaker 4 (02:45):
And if there's salt and vinegar then i couldn't be happier.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Is that for both of you or is that for just..

Speaker 3 (02:52):
I'll take the chips. I'll take the corn chips with
a little salt. Without the salt and vinegar. Just the
tortilla chips. That's what I'll take.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
I actually like both. When my daughters were cycling at
the same time because they wanted to kill me, salt
and vinegar chips were one of the things that was
requested in the house. I ended up liking it. They're
so good. But I like tortillas too with a little

(03:22):
salt in them.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Okay. Number three. What was your first car? Oh, God.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
I bought for $ 200 a 1980 MGB convertible that didn't work.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
And I spent way too much money taking the engine
apart and putting it back together. And I got it
to work most of the time. But I can't say,
I would have to park it on a incline because
like the starter motor never really engaged and I would
have to kind of like, you know, clutch start it. Yes,
white with a black top.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
We're best friends, I can tell already. Yes. The fact,
the fact. I'm going to get you in a second. No,
you go ahead, go ahead.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
I'm going to get you in a second because I
wanted to say something because when I mentioned MJB, like
I can go right out. You know what I'm talking about.
or Carmen Ghias, or like cars like that. People were like, what?
Some people were like, oh my God. Others were like, what?
My family had all those, all those. And the funny

(04:30):
parts were all like six foot five, six foot seven,
six feet tall. So he drove them with their knees,
all those cars. We had Dodge Darts, we had Capris, Mavericks.
So it's funny you said that Bill, because I was like,
my uncle Tommy, who was six five, had that car.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
With the top down.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
You need a top down for 6'5, right? Yes.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
I love that. Miss Karen?

Speaker 3 (04:55):
I'd like to pass now.

Speaker 4 (04:56):
My first car was like a Pontiac Sunbird.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Hey, I remember those. Girl, mine was a Suzuki Samurai Jeep.
There you go. Those are good. It probably still runs.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
It was a toy too. We just, one time it
fell over, we turned the corner, we all just got it,
picked it back up and kept going.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
Well, actually Suzuki Samurais are, I don't think they're like
allowed in this country anymore. They flip over so quickly
that like when you go to a foreign, like Central America,
you always rent a Suzuki Samurai, but you can't.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
Get them here. No, you can't. It was very, it was, yes,
it was very, yes, yes.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
Right now I have a 1980, we have, sorry. We
have a 1981 Jeep CJ7 Laredo that plays a little
role in our book, Beyond Honor, and in the epilogue.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
It gets a little shout out.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
I love it. I think cars. I brought cars.

Speaker 1 (05:50):
I love it.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
All right. Number four. That was three. Right, that was three.
Number four. Ocean, beach. Well, that combo. Or Mountains Forest?
This is so hard.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
I'm going to go Mountain Forest. I'll say Ocean Beach.
Just because it seems like we have some tension and
we don't know what to agree. That's how we write together.
So I'll go Ocean Beach.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
But no, when I said Ocean Beach, she did give
it a nice like, oh yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:21):
I love, well, I'm from New England.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
I love the beach. But I just, you know, we
love hiking, love the mountains, love all that.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
My bad.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
All right, this is the question that I ask everybody.
And I like to think it's just like life. There's
only two answers. Just kidding. No, but this is, life
is just two answers and that's it. No, this one
is and, or, no, it's not and, or, it's just or.
Karen and Brill Brodsky.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
Apples or oranges?

Speaker 4 (06:53):
Oranges.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
Apples. Wow, I love it. They played five random questions.
Their lives are different yet intertwined. The Honor is out.
Go get it.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Yes. Tom James sent you.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Bye.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
Yeah.
