The Giganic government sucks. Suit ofhappiness radio is dux liberty and freedom will
make you smile, or a suitof happiness on your radio toil just as
cheeseburgers a Livy prize at the Foodhappen Us time. Okay, So Americans
(00:33):
say they need to make one hundredand eighty six thousand dollars a year to
live comfortably, here's option B.Option B is become Hunter Biden. Problem
solved and then you don't have toworry about it. Hi, everybody,
welcome to our fourth of July Eveepisode of Kenny Webster's Pursuit of Happiness.
This is maybe the most patriotic radioshow you've ever heard in your life,
(00:56):
and we're going going to cram itin your ear canals right now. Folks,
Independence days tomorrow. Unless you're married, I'm guessing for Joe Biden,
tomorrow will be in depend's day.Thank you. Most people are off tomorrow.
I'm not talking about work, Ijust mean general observation. Also,
tomorrow America will turn two hundred andforty eight, but it looks more like
(01:17):
two hundred eleven because of botox andwhat's the other thing ozempic by the way.
You will not be prosecuted if youpunch a person who yells. The
best way to celebrate the fourth iswith a fifth. Okay, actually you
still will, but don't do that, folks. Most Americans don't know much
about our founding fathers. Many peoplethink that Thomas Jefferson had a wife named
Wheezy and lived in a de luxapartment in the sky. Turns out that
(01:38):
is not true. What's happening ontoday's show? Michael Quinn Sullivan's stopping by
pretty soon. He'll be here injust a few short moments. And my
buddy Brandon Darby's coming by with areport from the border, So we'll get
to all that very soon. Butfirst time. A report at the list
(02:00):
today details how this year your Fourthof July cookouts are very expensive. It's
hard to believe, but we startedthis whole country because we were mad about
being taxed on a breakfast drink.Where are we now? Americans hosting Fourth
of July cookouts will face record groceryprices due to rampant inflation under the Biden
administration. Thanks a lot record inflation, thanks a lot Biden administration. There's
(02:25):
this kid on social media, letme see if I could find it.
It just occurred to me that Iwant to play this while we're live on
the radio right now, which isprobably the worst possible way to do this.
But this kid on TikTok here itis. I found it. This
young man is on TikTok and hediscovered how inflation works. And it's interesting
to hear young people figure this stuffout. He didn't figure out, he
(02:46):
didn't quite figure out why inflation's happening. He just figured out that it's happening.
I feel like, go'll go besick. I just like looked through
my Walmart history and I found this, like a order from two years ago
for the whole month worth of groceries. Forty five items cost one hundred and
(03:06):
twenty six dollars a whole month ofgroceries, just for me, basically.
But I did notice this reorder allbutton and I wanted to see how much
it would cost. Now there's abutton that says reorder all, so he
could see what he paid two yearsago. It was one hundred something.
There he's hitting reorder all to orderthe same items again. Go ahead.
(03:27):
Now, this order of forty fiveitems for one month would have cost four
hundred and fourteen dollars. That isfour times more. How the how?
Yeah, exactly what the ding dong? Indeed, guys, that is unbelievable.
(03:49):
So a lot of money there, you guys. You know the world
changed a little, didn't it.A new report from the American Farm Bureau
Federation found that a ten person cookoutthat includes items like cheeseburgers and brass pork
chops, homemade potato salad, strawberries, ice cream that would run up seventy
one dollars and twenty two cents. This marks a five percent increase from last
(04:10):
year and almost thirty percent increase fromfive years ago, and a record high
for the organization's annual survey. Yourgrocery bill may shock you. This year,
my friends, prices of individual goodshave increased dramatically. The report found
that two pounds of ground beef nowcost twelve dollars and seventy seven cents on
average, an eleven percent increase.Just keeps going up and up and up.
(04:30):
I can keep reading these numbers toyou, but understand it's not a
coincidence. This is happening. ThisAFBF report coincides at the recent gallup poll
indicating voter concern over skyrocketing prices.Thirty eight percent of voters say they are
confident Biden can do or recommend theright thing for the economy. Thirty eight
percent of people. Interestingly enough, thirty eight percent of people claim they're voting
(04:55):
for Democrats in November. So yeah, that's just party lines right there.
Inflation is out of control. Weprinted out about half the money that's currently
in circulation between now and the electionof twenty twenty, the pandemic and the
twenty twenty election. Right about halfthe currency that's currently in circulation didn't exist
(05:16):
before. Then. Do you understandwhat that does to inflation? It makes
it quite bad, To put itbluntly, Inflation keeps going up and up
and up, nineteen point nine percentin the three plus years since Biden took
office. They're bragging today that thehousing market is finally slowing down. You
know why the housing market's finally slowingdown because the economy's crashing. But don't
(05:40):
worry, my friends, good newsis on the horizon. We'll tell you
after this break. Li from Texasbroadcasting across the Peoples repot Think of America.
This is proceeds of How It IsRadio with Ken Webster, Jit are
Akay, producer Kenny keep it here? Who cute it for? He was
(06:19):
proved you remember the part of thearray goes Now, Wait a minute,
Wait a minute, what's you talkabout? I'm talking about America. Believe
it or not. I will notbe at work tomorrow. I assume most
of you won't. It's a nationalholiday, guys. We don't take a
lot of time off around here, all right, Who am I kidding?
Yeah? We do, but wewon't be working tomorrow. Tomorrow is important
(06:40):
because tomorrow is the fourth of July. And I gotta think, at least
for the time being, you're stillallowed to love this country. They're gonna
take that away from us pretty soon, aren't they. Michael Quinn Sullivan.
Yeah, Look, it feels likeevery single thing that happens, whether you're
talking to, you know, apolitician and listening to somebody on you know,
the left wing media, or evenyou're like your coffee shop barista,
(07:03):
everyone wants to tell us how horribleit is to be an American, how
horrible America is, how rotten itis, and you know, and it's
so completely baffles me. You know, we we live in this country that
has purdued, that has literally risenthe standard of living for all of humanity.
(07:24):
You look at the charts of humanflourishing, look at the charts of
the you know, of productivity, the charts of you know, just every
every possible measure of the pursuit ofhappiness you can think of, and it
all starts jacking up, and allstart to go into the stratosphere starting in
the early eighteen hundreds, starting youknow, you know, and then you
(07:46):
continue to be up steam into theAmerican century, of the of the of
the twentieth century. And it's justabsolutely amazing that there are people who what
they hate is not America. Theyhate happiness, they hate joy, they
hate people being free and independent. And that's what we have to keep fighting
against man. That's why the fourthof July is so important to remind us
(08:07):
that the battle for the pursuit ofhappiness continues every single day. Amen to
that. And Michael, you know, I gotta tell you today, right
now, it feels like we're livingin a very different America than the one
we were living in just seven daysago. I mean, think about how
much has changed. I mean, everybody everybody's in a meltdown right now over
(08:30):
the debate performance of Joe Biden, and they're talking about finding somebody else to
run against him. You got towonder if it's probably a little too late
for that. I know a lotof Democrats won't stay home on election day
if they think it could beat Trump, much less replace him with Kamala.
But at the same time, alot of women really don't like Kamala and
a lot of people and Trump isvery popular right now. There's this other
(08:52):
news story today about somebody that workedat the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee
suing their employer getting a one hundredthousand dollars for firing them because they didn't
want to get the vaccine. Rememberthat thing with the mandate. Uh,
let's see data centers now predicting thatevs are going to slow down the power
grid, but unfortunately people aren't buyingevs like the establishment thought. Is America
(09:16):
getting a little better right now?Is it? Is it just me?
Look, I feel more hopeful goinginto this fourth of July that I think
I have in a very long time. I think, you know, it's
the I see so many of ourfriends and our neighbors. I see so
many folks who have up until nowbeen hitting the snooze alarm and are now
(09:41):
waking up and saying, oh mygosh, we we could lose all of
this. And they're and and andthey are starting to speak up. They're
starting to take action, starting tosay not not on my watch. And
that's really exciting to see, andand and the and the the absolute breakdown,
you know, the the the actionand activity of normal people saying not
(10:01):
on my watch is exciting. Theproof of it is the is the hair
ripping, shrieking, shrill cries comingfrom the from the Democrats, coming from
the left. They know that thethat the jig is up, and they
know the only way they could keepJoe Biden in the White House, which
(10:22):
really means keeping the deep state oranything. So you know, Joe Biden
has not been in charge of hisown faculties or his bladder for you know,
a decade. Right. He isa he is just there. He's
their little puppet. He's there,he's their meat puppet. It's elder abuse.
But you know, whatever, theythey want to stay in charge.
(10:43):
If the way they could stay incharge with their little figurehead monarch was it
was by keeping Trump off of theballot. They tried kicking them off in
Colorado, they tried in Maine. They didn't. That didn't work. They
didn't try these you know, thesecrazy you know, we're gonna charge you
with nine hundred and seventy seven misdemeanorsand pretend like that equals a felony.
(11:05):
And all the stuff that did inNew York, you know, in case
after case, and it's unraveling infront of them, and now they're having
to talk about this whole crazy replacedBiden's scheme, all of the points to
Kinney. They know they're losing. They know they're losing. They know they're
losing, which means we're winning.I mean, amen to that. It's
a beautiful thing. As a proudTrump supporter, I really think we got
(11:28):
a rally around Biden and try tokeep him in this race. Michael,
Look, I have never, Ihave never in my life, you know,
been as you know, concerned forthe for the physical well being of
a president that I am right nowfor Joe Biden. Oh yeah, yeah,
you know, like no, thisis not me being being being a
jerk, But I honestly thought somethingbad was going to happen to the guy
(11:52):
within the seventy two hours after thatdebate performance. And I'm sure there was
some talking about it in CIA headquartersor something. But but Joe Biden needs
to be the He is the president, whether we like it or they want
to admit it or not. Heis the guy who student front of everyone.
Oh, he is the president. Therefore he needs to be, you
(12:16):
know, the guy that Donald Trumpis running against. It's going to be
fun to watch you what kind ofyou know, crazy contortions they try to
get him off the ballot. ButI think the fact is Joe Biden will
probably be the nominee. But it'sgoing to be fun to watch all the
efforts to get him to not bethe nomination. Oh dude, they are
in full crisis mode right now, trying to get rid of him. Can
(12:37):
we talk about Texas for a minute. This wasn't even I love that we're
having this conversation, but this wasn'teven what we planned to talk about,
because there's a lot to talk aboutin national politics, but you are this
is just turning on your radio.Michael quinn Salli then a good friend of
the show. I consider it tobe probably the most knowledgeable person about what's
going on in Texas politics and oneone of the most dangerous journalists in the
(12:58):
city or the state at that kindof He is not on this side of
the establishment. He takes the informationhe has and he shares it with the
masses. And I would say somethingof a dragon slayer. You guys are
the only people I see talking aboutthis right down the street from this radio
station. I mean, Michael, this makes my skin crawl. Right down
the street from this radio station TanglewoodMiddle School. I jog past this middle
(13:20):
school every day. My work,my bank, my grocery store, my
condominium are all within a short walkof Tanglewood Middle School. And now we
have learned that there is a sixtythree year old there who is apparently a
creep, accused of sexually assaulting anunderage girl. Because it's a middle school
after all, the Dale Lamar vanWright has just been arrested in charge with
(13:45):
sexual performance by a child in decencywith a child by contact and proper relationship
between educator and the student. Andof course, on this the eve of
the fourth of July, he doeshave you know, a constitutional He's it
was even a right to remain innocuntil proven Gil. But boy shure down't
look good, Michael. This isa This bothers the crap out of me.
Yeah. I mean, and let'snot say aside the fact that he
(14:07):
had already he was already under suspensionfrom HISD for forcing himself on another girl,
a different fourteen year old girl. This is a problem with which we
must contend as a state, thatwe have allowed our schools to become filled
with predators. And I know thatthey're Oh but Michael, my kids teacher
(14:31):
is a really good person. Okay, they may be good person, but
they're silent. Every teacher I talkto, every former teacher I talked to,
I said, oh, yeah, everyone knows who the creep is,
who the pervert is. But youknow, but no, but but you
know, we just want to Wedon't want to cause any trouble in the
school. We know when kids, when kids are being hurt, you need
to cause trouble in the school. You know that that is literally our job
(14:56):
as adult is to protect a children. And I don't care if you're coming
to from a faith perspective or ifyou're if you're an or if you're an
evolutionist who believes in the propagation ofthe species. We are supposed to protect
our children. That's our biological dutyand our legal and moral obligation. And
the fact that teachers and principles allknow these people exist, but they just
(15:18):
kind of quietly, you know, hope hope things go away is not sure
in our chedule. We have toconfront how to deal with that. We
as we as adults, as taxpayers, need to figure out how to fix
the school system, the school systems. Aaron Anderson on our team has now
put together an interactive maths on thebottom of every one of these stories that
we do, showing u the instancethat we know of, and it's and
(15:43):
it's horrifying to think of the oneswe don't know of, and it will
boggle your mind. The state oftaxes is covered with little dots of where
these insitants are taking place. Andagain it goes to a cultural problem where
we've all kind of ignored the governanceof our school you know, five percent
ten percent turnout in school board elections. Well, by us ignoring those elections,
(16:06):
ignoring the governance of our schools hasgiven an opportunity for predators to go
in and whether you're talking about sixtythree year old men allegedly praying on fourteen
year old girls or these you know, pan sexual, rainbow haired, you
know, gender warriors wanting to tellyour kid about anal sex you know,
whatever it is, we need wehave adulting stock and say, put an
(16:30):
end to this. Schools be aboutreading, writing, arithmetic. Leave your
you know, leave your sexual perversionssomewhere else, but not in our classrooms.
Yeah. And for those of youthat haven't looked at this map yet,
it's it's just bother some, butit's still fascinating because I couldn't help
but notice the little dots. They'reall over the map. Right. It
happens almost everywhere, but it reallyhappens to places in the state where you
(16:52):
find that liberals and Democrats are incharge of the local school district. And
someone might hear me say that andsay, well, Caddy, those are
just the big cities. What doyou expect. No, Marfa's on the
list. What how many people livein Marfa? Like a thousand people?
Marfa, Marfa, Texas, thelittle art town in West Texas had one
of the yep, Valentine. Iste well, that's interesting. The border,
(17:14):
big blue cities, the border, and Marfa appears to be where this
stuff happens at and uh yeah, very creepy stuff. Hey, real quick,
before we run out of time here, we only have a minute left.
Governor Patrick, Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, and Governor Greg Abbott are supporting
Joscelyn's law. It's bail reform, right, is that essentially what this is
about. That's the we need this. Yeah, this is yeah, this
(17:37):
is bail reform. Look over thepast decade or so, a lot of
people got really pregnant with the ideaof, oh my gosh, we've got
to and we've got to be softon crime, and and a lot of
it is very you know, thispolitical calculation of oh, well, we'll
try to appeal to people who areyou know, being you know being you
know, having to go to jailfor a long time because they do bad
things. So we want to doall these no soft on crime things.
(17:59):
And Austin's Laws is really a repudiationof that, of saying that no,
we cannot allow we as a societycannot afford to be soft on crime.
We've got to strengthen our bail laws. We've got to go through uh strengthen
how we deal with these people whowho have been arrested and released repeatedly,
(18:21):
all those kind of things that wehave to address. We've we've allowed too
much of this kind of social dogoodrirism to pile up in our in our
in our criminal justice system, andit's time to fix it because people people
are being really hurt because of it. The good news is it sounds like
this is going to pass. Imean, from what I'm hearing, UH,
conservatives, moderates, even liberal Democratsseem to want to support this.
(18:44):
It sounds like it might pass. And looking and particularly for a lot of
those a lot of the liberal Democratshas kind of given the demographics of this
the places they represent, it's theirconstituents are the ones who are bearing the
brunt of the soft on crime stuffthat again that Democrats pushed, right,
And so I think that you're gonnahave a lot of these a lot of
(19:04):
Democrat lawmakers who in the past werepushing this stuff with Republicans helping them,
are now going to be on theforefront of saying, oh, you know,
our community is on fire, We'vegot to fix this. And that's
such a good It's horrible. It'shorrible that we've led the things that have
led to this. But the goodnews is I think something positive is going
to finally come out of it.Yeah, that is actually a very that
(19:26):
is a very good point, andthat is very good news. Michael Quinn
Sullivan, I say happy Fourth ofJuly to you, my brother. We're
grateful to have you here with usonce a week on this radio show.
And likewise, my friend had youforth. Hey, Texas scorecard dot com.
Subscribe to their email list. You'llbe glad you did. You are
listening to the Pursuit of Happiness radioPursuit of happiness. We don't have that
(19:47):
in Mexico. Yeah. Then I'vesaid and put out this name with my
whole man. We traveled fast night, many fam been all this the fan
girl's money of fame playing the nameand then the scream on this set,
(20:11):
whoa this is? This? Music'sreally loud and angry, but I guess
it's well, it's the fourth ofJuly and what is this American Badass by
kid Rock? Yeah, we playwe play loud, angry music to celebrate
the fourth of July on this radioshow. It's a big deal. Y'all
think so much for tuning in Today, Hunter Biden is suing Fox News for
making a show based on a faketrial of him. Fox News responded by
(20:34):
saying, yeah, well, youknow, you do smoke crack, so
you know, maybe maybe a littleless judgmental next time. Sounds like from
Texas Justice to me and now livefrom the Border. It's right. Bart's
Brandon Darby with the Cartel Chronicles onlyon KPRC radio. He is the Darby
(20:56):
who would be Brandon. I wantto ask Brandon about a couple of things.
Steve Bannon is reporting to prison today. Brandon knows Steve Bannon. But
before we get to any of that, a couple of reports today at the
Texas Breitbart Texas is the Border CartelChronicles page at Breitbart dot Com. Brandon,
we used to joke about this peoplecoming over the border illegally from Canada,
(21:18):
but Biden's Canadian border surge has actuallygot arrests at the border up four
hundred two percent over the last year. People are actually immigrating illegally from Canada
and to America, and they're doingit a lot. Huh. Yeah,
Well, first off, there, they're not usually Canadians, right, So
(21:40):
so people who have a few moreresources are starting to realize that instead of
paying a cartel they to cross theUS Mexical border, they can just fly
to Canada and then from Canada illegallyenter the United States. That's what's happening.
It's it's just a mechanism. Youknow. Canada allows any in the
(22:00):
world to show up there for amonth basically within you know, basically that's
the gist. And and people arerealized that they can do that, and
they're landing in Canada and then andthen illegally entering the United States. You
have a team of journalists down atour border, and you know that part
of it. Part of the waythe operation works, as you've explained on
(22:23):
the air before, is they're notall public. Some of them are low
key. They stay anonymous. Andwe just learned authorities in Mexico are investigating
the murder of yet another journalist. This one had the victim of the body
found with hands tied and tape overthe eyes. The killing comes as the
international press freedom organizations continue to labelMexico one of the most dangerous countries in
(22:45):
the world for newsmakers. Why areyou guys the only ones reporting on this,
Brandon. You know, I think, honestly, I think that most
most media outlets, the majority oflegacy media outlets. You know, we
used to call mainstream, but nowwe're kind of we have so many readers
(23:07):
that it I guess we're kind ofmainstream too on the right amongst Republicans,
but so we call them legacy media. Now. The majority of media outlets,
the majority of journalists and reporters andnews editors are liberals, and they
feel like if they accurately reported whatwas going on in Mexico, that it
(23:30):
would reinforce racist or racial stereotypes aboutbrown communities being bad, or they find
all types of reasons to justify nottelling the truth about what's happening, you
know, at our shared border withMexico and south of that border, and
what's happening is that Mexico each yearranks as number one or number two of
(23:53):
the most deadliest countries in the worldfor journalists. You know, reporters are
meet workers are routinely killed in Mexicowhen they report on corruption, or when
they report on cartel connections or cartelbosses. And this is this is what
happens there. Why US media doesn'treport that. I mean it goes back
(24:15):
to you know, uh, severalyears ago before Elon Musk bought Twitter,
when everyone was using that photo ofthe little dead child's body on a Syrian
beach trying to you know, convinceus to get into war with Syria,
right and all the legacy media,CBS C, And then everyone was using
(24:37):
the photo of a dead child's bodyon the beach, that washed up,
that was killed by a sad forces. So we published the body of a
dead person washed up on the shoresof the Rio Grande on the border,
you know, and I got myTwitter account suspended. We got in trouble
(24:59):
with social media. And there's justa double standard, you know, Like
as much as these liberals act likethey care so much about Mexico and where
the hateful ones and where the racistones, the truth of the matter is
in the pudding, right. Thetruth of the matter is they clearly don't
value, you know, lives fromsouth of the border and as much as
(25:21):
they value lives other places. Andif they did, they would report the
fact that so many reporters are killedin Mexico. If they did, they
would allow us to publish the deadbody of someone who was killed trying to
cross our border because of policies thatencourage them to versus you know, while
at the same time they are publishingthese photos of dead bodies and other places
(25:45):
in the world. Right, That'sjust how it is. It's a double
standard that we have dealt with beingright media, being Breitbart, We've dealt
with this double standard repeatedly, overand over again in every way imaginable,
which is kind of Andrew Breitbart's point, Right. Andrew Breitbart's point was that
(26:07):
you know, they have rules forfor for themselves, or rules for us,
but not for themselves. Right,Yeah, rules for thee but not
for me. That that left ofcenter people connected to the Democratic Party or
who support the Democratic Party largely controlmedia, and that's why it is so
vital that there are media outlets whoare not left of center, you know,
(26:33):
then order to get a clear pictureof what's happening in the world.
And people get mad when I saythis sometimes, but it's true on both
sides. If you really want toknow what's happening, you need to have
liberal reporters there and write leaning reportersthere to share what they think are the
key points and what matters the most, right, and if you read everybody's
(26:53):
perspectives, you get a pretty goodpicture of what's really happening. Well,
you know, I'm glad you broughtthat up, because it's a good segue
to this. All these people immigratingillegally to America are coming here because it's
supposed to be a better life. And you have a long history with a
gentleman who's being sent away to prisontoday. That's Steve Bannon. Steve Bannon
was one of Andrew Breitbart's right handmen, very integral part of the Breitbart
(27:18):
organization over the years, also ofthe Trump organization, political strategist and political
consultant to Donald Trump. Steve Bannonis being sent to prison for contempt of
Congress. More specifically, he didnot participate with the January sixth committee.
They were trying to make a spectacleout of him, trying to blame him
for what happened, or you know, get him to be part of the
three ring circus. And now becausea journalist like Tucker Carlson and the tapes
(27:41):
that they released from January sixth, that day, we see that a lot
of what the January sixth committee didwas dishonest. The reporting that they did
wasn't actually a good representation of whattook place on that day. So I'll
ask you this, you know, what are your thoughts on Steve Bannon going
away to prison today? And doyou think you know, do you think
this is fair? Well, okay, so first off, January sixth,
(28:06):
I think the vast majority of peoplewere there law abiding, not doing what
they were accused of. And Ithink half the people who went in the
capitol were law abiding, staying withinthe ropes. That said, I do
think that there was a contingent thatwe're trying to do some mysterious destructive things,
and I think that those people havegotten in trouble and they should do.
(28:30):
I think their sentence isn't necessarily fair. No, that said, back
to Bannon, like, you know, this is a man who I answered
to, you know, ten timesa day for many many years of my
life after Andrew died. He ranthe organization after Andrew Breitbart died, and
he was the person I reported directlyto. He was the person who allowed
(28:52):
me to start Breitbart Texas. Hewas the person who encouraged and allowed me
to start the Cartel chronicles, eventhough you know, it made the company's
insurance cost go way up, andeven though even though there was so much
risk involved. You know, ashard as he was to deal with,
(29:15):
I would not be where I am. Breipbart would not be where it is,
And you know, I would nothave the income I have. I
would not have provided for my daughterthe way I have if it weren't for
things I learned from Steve Bannon, you know. And that's just the simple
fact is is he hard to dealwith? Yeah? He can. He
be a real jerk and be hurtfuland all kinds of other things. Yeah,
(29:38):
but he also encouraged me to stepit up and enter another sphere of
my career and my reporting and andand for that I am grateful. Do
I think he's being treated fairly?No? I don't do I think ultimately,
you know, define Congress should oryou know, contempt of Congress,
(30:00):
you know should should result in alittle time for people or some consequences.
Yeah, But but I go backto Eric Holder, right, I go
back to the previous administration or twoadministrations ago, Eric Holder, contempt of
Congress didn't serve time, didn't.So do I think that justice is being
applied fairly. I do not inthis country, not at all. I
think that what is happening to himis exactly for political reasons. And do
(30:26):
I think that he did something that'spunishable, Well, in in a vacuum,
yeah, but in the reality ofhow many other people who defy Congress
go to jail. No, He'sbeing targeted, and he's being put in
jail for reasons that he should not. It's unfair. It's unfair application and
enforcement of justice. I'm not happyto see him now. He has you
(30:48):
know, he has stuff coming upwith, you know, trials coming up
with We Build the Wall. Ican't speak to that. You know,
if you know several of the otherpeople who are involved in We Build the
Wall, who are involved in theleaders of it, you know, I
worked with them for a little bitas a contractor, you know, advisor,
but the leadership of it, onthe board of it, you know,
(31:08):
several of them went to prison forfor you know, not being as
forthcoming as they should have been withmoney, saying that they weren't taking some
when they were. So I don'tknow what that turns into for Bannon.
But when it comes to this,I do think it's unfair. I think
it's an unequal application of justice,is what I say. Brandon, well
(31:30):
stated, my friend, you arethe senior editor of Breitbart Texas in the
Cartel Chronicles. Tomorrow's the fourth ofJuly. How will Brandon Darby be spending
the holiday? Brother? I amhanging out with family, hanging out with
my woman, hanging out with kids, our kids, and grilling. And
probably I'll start smoking a brisket onthe third and you know, I'll start
(31:55):
smoking today. I'll start smoking abrisket this evening, late in the night
so that it's ready, you know, and can rest and be done smoking
and rested and we can eat ittomorrow evening, you know, Like I'm
just gonna my day is gonna involvefamily, animals and cooking a lot of
(32:15):
meat. My man Brandon Darby.Follow him on social media. Check out
his work at break bart dot com. Free special leaves on free right here
on proceeds. I'm happy this radio. That's true. We uh, we
(32:36):
don't have time to play this wholesong. Also, I don't own the
rights to it. So hi,I'm Kenny Webster. Fourth of July is
tomorrow. Kind of excited about thefourth of July. I gotta tell you,
of all twelve months that have afour on the calendar, July probably
be my favorite. Hope you guysagree. It's a big deal. You
know, New England July fourth salmon. You know what that is? In
(32:58):
New England, people have a traditionof eating salmon on the fourth of July.
It harkens back to when salmon wasplentiful in local rivers during the summer.
So just the thing that they doup there, that's how they do
it on the Upper East Coast.Maybe a reason not to go there,
And you know, it's a remarkablething. Presidential peculiarities linked to the fourth
of July, like Thomas Jefferson,John Adams, and James Monroe, all
(33:22):
key figures in American history, diedon July fourth. Jefferson and Adams passed
away on the same day in eighteentwenty six, exactly fifty years after the
declaration was adopted. Monroe followed fiveyears later in eighteen thirty one. Calvin
Coolidge, the thirtieth President of theUnited States, was born on Independence Day,
(33:43):
July fourth, eighteen seventy two.How about that, you know,
the oldest continuous parade. The BristolFourth July Parade in Rhode Island holds the
title, having started in seventeen eightyfive. They still have it every year.
The world's shortest parade, Aptos,California, a unique tradition. It
just covers one point six miles. Not a big town, not a big
(34:05):
parade route, but still a goodone. The Declaration of Independence is a
remarkable thing. The original handwritten copyof the Declaration into Independence has traveled quite
a bit since its adoption on Julyfourth, seventeen seventy six. It was
originally preserved at Philadelphia, before movingto Baltimore during the War of eighteen twelve,
and then relocated to Washington, dC. During the Civil War for
(34:27):
safekeeping. Flag etiquette is quite important, isn't it. The US Flag Code
was established in nineteen forty two,and it outlines the proper handling and display
of the American flag. Key guidelinesinclude flying the flag from sunrise to sunset
and ensuring it never touches the ground, and displaying it prominently with honor.
While the fourth of July is synonymouswith American independence, the Continental Congress actually
(34:52):
voted in favor of independence on Julysecond, seventeen seventy six. John Adams
even wrote to his wife Abigail, predicting that j July second would be celebrated
as the most memorable day in Americanhistory. But it was two days later,
July fourth, that Congress adopted theDeclaration of Independence, and so apparently
John Adams lied to his wife.Imagine that the popular belief that the Declaration
(35:16):
of Independence was signed on July fourthis a little bit of a misconception.
Most of the fifty six signatures, including that of John Hancock, were actually
signed on August second, seventeen seventysixth. The initial approval and adoption of
the Declaration by the Continental Congress occurredon July fourth, which is the reason
for the date. You know, the tradition is setting off fireworks was indeed
(35:39):
suggested by John Adams. He envisionedthe celebration of Independence with great fanfare,
including fireworks, and expressed his hopesfor the annual celebration in a letter,
once again to his wife Abigail, who he had a history of lying to.
As far as the fourth of Julygoes, I'm proud to say I
am an am American. I enjoyit quite a bit, the barbecues,
(36:04):
the fireworks, the music, allof it, because it's a day we
get to celebrate our freedom. Wehave the freedom to do what we want,
believe what we want, say whatwe want, and do so without
persecution, but not necessarily without consequences. America has the land of opportunity.
If you work hard enough and perseverethrough failures and setbacks, you could still
achieve success in the United States, even if you're a middle class white guy.
(36:29):
The spirit of America lives and wesee it every day with hard working
people and small businesses and entrepreneurs witha vision and determination, and the dreamers
who are out there wanting a betterlife. Have you looked outside lately?
Have you driven across our wide opencountry? America is a beautiful place.
(36:50):
I mean not the east side ofHouston, but most of America. Each
region of our country has a uniquebeauty that if you pull over and look
at it, you'll be pretty impressed. With the mountains, the lakes,
the beaches, the rivers, theopen plains, and even Pasadena. I'm
Kenny Webster. I say God blessAmerica. I say Happy Fourth to July.
