Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Giganic government sucks. Suit of Happiness Radio is dux
liberty and freedom will make you smile. The Pursuit of
Happiness us on your radio toil just as cheeseburgers a
liberty rise at the food.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
New research finds that the most advanced sensory whiskers are
on an elephant's trunk, and the least impressive whiskers are
the ones on Timothy Schallmay's upper lip. That's a fact, folks,
that is a scientific fact.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
Hi.
Speaker 2 (00:37):
I'm Kenny Webster and welcome to Pursuit of Happiness Radio.
Joining us this afternoon. Brandon Walton stopping buying from texascorecard
dot com. Yesterday was a crazy day in Texas politics.
It could take all afternoon to explain all the things
that happened. We're going to try to walk you through
some of it. It really it was unreal how many
bizarre scandals there were also stopping by this afternoon. Riley
(00:57):
lewis here from one American news network. Will be calling
him shortly and Riley in. He's in there based out
of California. Riley is very much in tune to what
is going on, not only in with Governor Newsom and
all the scandals out there, but also the latest on
what is going on with Zorhan, Mom, Donnie New York
(01:17):
City mayor some lesser known information you're gonna want to
hear about. And with that in mind, let's begin our
broadcast this afternoon with some very dark news from south
South Texas. We've got a mess in South Texas that
is hotter than a jalapeno and a broken microwave, and
at the center of all of it is Congressman Tony Gonzalez.
(01:37):
Tony Gonzalez is the guy who's turned his congressional seat
into a bad soap opera script. Let's start with the
latest bombshell that's still smoking, that New York Post story
about his aide, Regina Santos Aviles, who tragically set herself
on fire in her own backyard last September. You heard that, right,
self immolation. It's like something out of a dystopian novel,
(02:00):
not a border district office. And now we've got text
surfacing where she's straight up admitting to having an affair
with her boss, our boss, she describes him in the
conversation with a fellow staffer, speaking of course, about Tony Gonzalez.
Tony Gonzalez, a married father of six, supposed to be
the Family Values poster boy, tangled up in a boss
(02:22):
subordinate fling that's got more red flags than a communist parade.
And this isn't just some tabloid gossip. It's full blown scandal.
It's got record sealed tighter than a pickle jar. So
why the cover up? Interestingly enough, in a side note here,
supposedly the political consultant that was helping him try to
cover all this up none other than John Cornyn staffer
(02:43):
Matt mkoyak, the same guy that Wesley Hunt is suing
right now for doxing him, the same guy with the
Venmo scandal. But I'm getting off topic here. There's a
lot of theories flying like confetti at a bad party
about why Tony Gonzalez and why did all this happen?
Depression from an affair, fallout, foul play disguised as suicide,
(03:07):
or maybe she knew too much about Tony's shady side
and couldn't take it. This poor woman's husband finds the
texts she spirals. Tony denies it all with that politician
poker face, calling it completely untruthful. Dodging the questions like
a kid avoiding chores. Come on, Tony, if you're innocent,
(03:27):
why not sue for defamation instead of hiding behind sealed
Nine to one one calls. This is the kind of
drama that makes you wonder if his office is run
like a frat house and here's the kicker while his
aide's life unravels to the point of unthinkable tragedy, Tony's
out there campaigning like nothing happened, pretending he's the steady
(03:50):
hand Texas needs steady, more like shaky as a chihuahua
on espresso. But wait a second, this fair is this?
This isn't even half of it. The affair is just
a tiny part of the story. It's the cherry on
top of a Sunday of sellouts. Tony's been playing foot
seat with Democrats on issues that should be no brainers
(04:12):
for any regular red blooded Texas Republican. Take guns. Do
you know after Uvaldi his own district's nightmare, he votes
for that bipartisan Safer Communities Act he pushed for red
flag laws. He wants to strip law abiding folks like
you and me of our Second Amendment rights. Then there's
(04:32):
the marriage he backs the Respect for Marriage Act, codifying
same sex unions at the federal level. Okay, fine, but
not something a social conservative would do. Tony's out here
waving a rainbow flag while cheating on his wife. Whatever.
This is where Tony's hypocrisy really seems to show itself.
(04:53):
He represents a border district. He's the lone Texas re
Republican who wouldn't sign a letter backing government Biden's aid
against a governor Abbott's eight against Biden's open border disaster.
He's soft on immigration, so soft on immigration, it's like
(05:17):
a fire chief who votes against buying hoses. Don't get
me started on how he treats his own party. Tony's
got a mouth on him that could make milk kerdle.
He called Matt Gates a scumbag. He compared the Freed
Freedom Caucus members to the KKK. Seriously, it's not debating policy.
(05:40):
This is just desperation from a guy who's alienated his
base so badly he's clinging to moderates. He voted against
Kevin McCarthy's House rules package. He said it was madness.
He's a rhino. He's labeled a rhino, and people call
him a rhino so often it's practically his middle name,
Republican and name only crossing the aisle more often than
(06:03):
a jaywalker and rush hour. Personal scandals piling on like
bad karma, affair allegations that contradict his family man facade,
leaving his six kids in the crossfire of his mess.
His constituents want integrity. They don't want this tabloid train wreck.
So I say, Tony needs to do the right thing.
(06:24):
It's time to drop out and endorse your opponent, Brandon Herrera,
the guy who's actually got the spine to stand for
what conservatives believe in secure borders, gun rights, traditional values,
no nonsense. Herrera's the fresh blood that people need in
South Texas. They don't need some stale scandal and sellout
step aside, Tony, you're dragging your party down. Texas deserved
(06:46):
better than what you're giving them. This scandal plagued moderate
masquerading as a leader. It's time to drop out and
endorse Brandon. Brannan's a real conservative. He could take the wheel.
This isn't just about smart politics. It's the honorable move,
the only honorable move left in Tony's playbook. Free Special leaves.
Speaker 3 (07:08):
On right here on proceeds Unhappiness Radio.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
New research claims one in three people are embarrassed by
the state of their car, and not shockingly, they all
drive a Toyota Prius. Yeah, I know exactly. Hi, everybody,
welcome back. Yesterday was the first day of early voting,
So if you haven't done so yet, go vote. And
while you're at it, if you're a Catholic, go get
your ashes today. Man, fat Tuesday is over. Lent has begun.
(07:39):
It's time to give up so's it's time for you
to repent your sins. Lent is important. It's a great
time for us to look at what's wrong with us
and try to become better people because that's what God did.
And not for nothing here, but our attorney General is
looking at what's wrong with the state and trying to
make Texas into a better place. Turn General Ken Paxton
(08:01):
just filed a landmark lawsuit against Children's Health System of Texas.
Children's Health It's called that'd be the seventh largest pediatric
hospital in the country. Here with the details on what
the heck is going on at Children's Health and why
is it a violation of Texas law? Brandon Waltons is
here right now from Texas Scorecard. Brandon, what's up, dude.
Speaker 4 (08:23):
Hey, So this is just the latest lawsuit that we've
gotten out of the Attorney General. It seems like, I
think literally every day there's at least one lawsuit against
some radical West company or some doctor or something like that.
And right now we've got this lawsuit against Children's Health
that's the big children's hospital up in the Dallas area,
(08:46):
as well as a doctor there, essentially for two major things.
One is prescribing and issuing cross sex hormones, Peubrey blockers,
et cetera, essentially these gender utilation procedures on my After
the passage of Senate Bill fourteen in twenty twenty three,
which banned these procedures in Texas, folks might remember that
(09:07):
that finally was signed into law. Taxton alleges that the
hospitals continue to perform those procedures. And not only that,
but he also is accused the hospital of engaging in
medicating fraud by billing some of those procedures to medicate
in opposition to what the state law is.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
Friend of the show, I think, probably also a friend
of Texas scorecard dot Com. Doctor Mary Boden reacted to
the news, saying any man specializing in pediatric gynecology needs
to be put on a watch list. She's encouraging the
Texas Medical Board to investigate, as well as obviously Ken Paxton, dude,
amen to that. What a weird thing pediatric gynecology, Bran,
(09:49):
And doesn't that just make you want to vomit all
over the phone?
Speaker 4 (09:52):
Yeah, it's not as I don't think I've heard those
words put together before, but that is, it's very disturbing.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
Okay, with that in mind, why is this still happening?
This is this has been illegal in Texas. Now. I
feel like you and I have been talking about this
for years at this point, What on earth is it
that's making this continue to happen. I mean, I guess
we could only speculate, right, I mean.
Speaker 4 (10:16):
I guess you know, if these allegations can turn out
to be true, and you know, the lawsuit was just
filed today, But if these allegations are true, essentially this
means the doctor was acting just flagrantly in opposition to
state law. And that's why it's so important.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
I think.
Speaker 4 (10:30):
You know, last night there was a debate for Attorney
General up in Dallas. We had the four Republican candidates,
all all running for Attorney General up there, hosted by
The Blaze, and I think the biggest the reason why
the Texas Attorney General is so important, not just for
Texas but for really the rest of the country, is
(10:51):
that the state legislature can pass laws, right, and that's
half the battle. It's something we talk about a lot,
but ultimately, if they're not being enforced, it doesn't really matter.
And it's up to the Attorney General to make sure
these laws are being enforced.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
Okay, So that event was actually moderated and produced by
the Blaze TV. Blaze Media. I think they do a
lot of good work on a national political level. They
also have people at the company that cover state politics,
Sarah Gonzalez, I think the most notable figure. Yet oddly,
they had Ali Beth Stuckey moderate the debate. I've never
really thought of her as being a person that covers
(11:25):
Texas politics.
Speaker 4 (11:29):
Yes, that she did a great job. Certainly, She's somebody
who a lot of Conservatives have paid a lot of
attention to. And you know, it's a tough thing, you know,
especially when you've got four candidates up there trying to
get them to stay on schedule and not talk over
their you know, thirty second or sixty second allotments. Someone
who has done some of these forums before and moderated them,
(11:51):
I don't envy that position. It's always it's always hard
when you've got four politicians up there.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
All right, With that in mind, any notables, any highlights,
stuff that people should I know there's a lot of
things were said, probably things we've heard many of them
say before, But any standout moments from the.
Speaker 4 (12:08):
Debate, Well, I think the biggest takeaway is that right
now chip Roy was essentially I would say the biggest
target Congressman Chip Roy, who's been leading in the polls.
So it makes sense that you saw Mays Middleton, Aaron Wrights,
and even Joan Huffon to an extent take aim at
(12:28):
at him essentially because he's looking at this race thinking,
you know, is there a way for him to get
above fifty percent and not even have a runoff election,
or you know, is he going to be forced into
a runoff with in this case, you know, just looking
at the polls, likely would be State Senator Mayce Middleton.
Speaker 2 (12:45):
Okay, So with that in mind, if they are likely
to go to a runoff, which I think we've been
predicting that for a while now, especially with four people
in the race actively campaigning. Does it seem like Mays
is friendly enough with the other two, Aaron and Joan
to get endorsements from them. You know, we'll see you, certainly,
you know.
Speaker 4 (13:04):
Certainly May's has the benefit of having worked in the
Senate with Senator Joan Huffman. The difference for May's in
this race, right is that if he loses this, he's
out of office.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
When or lose.
Speaker 4 (13:20):
He gave up his Senate seat to do this because
he was up for reelection this year. You can't run
for multiple offices at the same time. Not the case
for Huffman, who was not up for election this year.
She's up in two years and so this is essentially
a free ride for her. She'll get to go back
to the state Senate next year if she's not the
attorney General.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:38):
I don't think anybody expects Joan to win, but I
hear no one talking about her. Aaron has a ton
of buzz online. I think the thing a lot of
the pollsters misunderstand. They go out and they ask people,
who are you going to vote for in the primary,
and people will just tell you which name they're most
familiar with. But as you and I both know, when
a lot of people go to vote in the primaries,
(13:59):
they don't necessar barely know who all the candidates it's are.
They take with them a voter's cheater guide, a voter
guide from their favorite conservative influencer, you know, people like
Michael Barry, people like Glenn Back, people like Mattress Mac
And those cards do list a lot of these names
that sometimes people that aren't active on X wouldn't know,
but they end up voting for him anyway. So they
wouldn't say yes to a polster because they don't have
(14:21):
that card on them. But when they show up at
the poll, do people ever take that into consideration. I'm
sure that's something you think about.
Speaker 4 (14:28):
No, that's a great point. I think we see this
happen most down the ballot.
Speaker 3 (14:32):
Right.
Speaker 4 (14:33):
The further down the ballot you get, the more difficult
it is to pull some of these races, because, especially
when you get down to a state representative level, and
then even below that to some of these local offices,
most people just don't know, right, Most people don't know
necessarily who they're going to vote for for justice of
the piece, for their precinct or whatever. And that is
(14:54):
I think where these voter guides have more sway. Now,
if you're looking at like the Senate rate at the top,
not very likely that those are going to move the needle, right.
I think people pretty much at this point have their
mind made up about who they're going to go support
in the Senate race. Attorney General is a big one,
I think, you know, I think a lot of people
(15:15):
probably do have their mind made up there. But you know,
the further you get down the ballot, I think the
more sway those voter guides do have.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
All right, a lot of excitement yesterday on opening day
of early voting. Obviously, people are everyone's talking about the
Tony Gonzalez scandal. He's now been outed as having slept
with his mistress who killed herself. The staffer, very sad story.
Everybody's talking about Wesley Hunts sueing Matt mccoeac MO meet
Matt mccoyac forgetting to delete his old anti Trump tweets.
(15:42):
That's the John Cornyn staffer that keeps getting corn And
into trouble. But then there was this Texas Agriculture Commissioner
Sid Miller is accusing Big Tech of censorship of locking
him out of his Facebook account on election day. Oh well,
(16:03):
we're getting a boomer alerts. A boomer alert is being declared.
Is it possible? Look, I have nothing personal against Sid Miller.
Is it possible Sid Miller got locked out of his
Facebook account not because he was being censored, but because
he just didn't know how it worked. Brandon Walton's Texas corecard.
I also, no, I can't believe we're doing this either,
(16:25):
But go ahead, Brandon.
Speaker 4 (16:27):
Well, I look, I think yeah. Sid Miller has been
I think since he has been in office now, so
for ten twelve years, has been a pretty prolific Facebook
post people. I'm not exaggerating when I say he posts
about forty to fifty times every day on his Facebook page,
(16:48):
and so, you know, I think he's probably familiar with
how to log in as certainly as team is in
this case. I don't know what happened, but his campaigns
has come out and said they believe that Facebook locked
him out of his account and that that was election interference.
You know, he was locked out. It appears for a
(17:08):
few hours that that access was given back last night.
I think he posted fifty times after he got it back. So,
you know, was it something that Meta did? Was it
something that he did. Meta hasn't commented at least publicly
so far, so maybe we'll never know.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
All right, All that being said, a local story today,
Harris County Commissioner's Court approved two million dollars in new
funding for additional studies of the county jail three to
one vote. What is it they want to study over there?
Speaker 4 (17:40):
Well, this is literally the fourth review that would be
of this jail right in Harris County Jail since twenty twenty,
so in almost as many years, right, we've had this
many reviews of it. Essentially, they're looking at potential expansion
of the Harris County Jail. It's been out of compliance
with minimum state standards since last year, has failed Taxas
(18:04):
Commission on Jail Standards inspection since twenty twenty two. So
obviously some work probably needs to be done on this jail.
What is interesting is that, you know, it's such a
government thing to have, you know, millions of dollars of
studies on what to do with it, and you know
they haven't actually done anything.
Speaker 2 (18:21):
That is very interesting. You guys do awesome work at
texascorecard dot com. You could subscribe to their email list
at Texas scorecard dot com. I also encourage you to
check out Brandon on x on social media for all
the latest election time updates. All on a separate note here,
Sean Hannity very excited to announce with Fox Nation his
(18:41):
new podcast, Hanging Out with Sean handed Oh no oh
no oh no. Another boomer alerts hot.
Speaker 5 (18:54):
Li from Texas Broadcasting across the Peoples before Peak of America.
This is proceeds of How It Is Radio with Ken Western,
judr Akay producer Kenny keep it here.
Speaker 2 (19:07):
Oh, this is interesting. The Shamrock Shake is back at McDonald's. Yeah,
it's part of a Saint Patrick's Day menu that includes
the Fialleo Leprechaun and make alcoholism yum. But before I'm
sorry to Irish people, I'm just kidding before we get
any of that, Welcome back to the radio here today,
we are diving into the latest chapter of the Gavin
(19:29):
Newsom World Tour, where California's problems go to die. Gavin's
the governor that just jetted off to Munich to trash
talk Trump and America to a room full of Europeans.
How brave of him, call him temporary like a bad
tender date, and promise the world California will save the
planet while the rest of us dodge potholes and homeless
(19:50):
encampments while we're visiting the Golden State. Ooh, eight dollars
at gallon gas. Thanks California, because nothing says I'm focused
on fixing income inequality, like lecturing foreigners about American leadership.
Here to discuss the topic with us. Riley Lewis the
host of The Real Story with Riley Lewis on One
American News Network, A fantastic show. If you're not watching this,
(20:13):
you need to start dvring it tuning into it. It
is spitting out straight truth. Riley's a good friend of
the show. He's a proud San Diegoative native and studied
political science and what is it Peace and justice studies
from the University of San Diego. Gives a lot of
sharp insight from a conservative perspective about some of the
bizarre things happening in and around the state of Texas,
(20:37):
and honed a lot of his political skills from his
early days as a congressional campaign liaison in South Carolina, California.
Excuse me, Riley, did I explain your accolades correctly?
Speaker 1 (20:49):
Yes?
Speaker 6 (20:50):
Absolutely, and thankful for that. I appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (20:52):
I've been stalking you. I don't know if you knew that,
I would guess you hired a PI. I know you're
very thorough, but I'm going rate for a pea these days.
Speaker 7 (21:00):
In this economy, I ain't even imagine.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
That's the beauty. That's the beauty of having Texas money.
We've got money to spare, all right. So, Governor News
have just wrapped up his Munich security conference, and I
don't know if people know this. It was a security conference,
AOC and Gavin went out there to talk about income
and equality. But he called Trump temporary and he said
he was the most corrupt president ever. Now, I don't
(21:24):
know if people remember this, but we have presidents that
have been involved in duels and you know, civil wars
and things like that. But anyway, this guy urged allies
to call him out. And you know, as a California Conservative,
do you see this as productive diplomacy or is he
just grand standing for his twenty twenty eight presidential run.
Speaker 6 (21:43):
Well, oh, look, grand standing. It's it's really pathetic, but
it does show you what his real priority is, which
is not doing anything at all for the people of California.
Look to your point. Look, I've grown up in my
whole life here, I've had family here for over one
hundred years. I can tell you for a California has
been so crazily mismanaged it's not even funny. And Gavin
(22:05):
Newsom is nowhere to be found. I mean, we have
entire city blocks that are covered in tense cities, used needles,
human secs, people just being left rought there on the streets.
Come here to San Diego. I'll show you where we
have homeless veterans who've just been completely abandoned, not just
by their local leaders, but by their state leaders too,
(22:26):
and there's no excuse for it. So Gavin Newsom is
clearly running for president. Obviously he thinks very highly of himself.
But I suspect if you talk to Californians, even California Democrats,
I would argue, would say that he has done a
really horrific job.
Speaker 7 (22:41):
It's astounding to.
Speaker 6 (22:42):
Think this guy has survived not one, not two, but
even three recall efforts because he's just he's been he's
been horrific for the state and for this country.
Speaker 2 (22:51):
So after Munich he gets in a plane, he jets
off to the UK for a shiny new climate partnership,
brags about snagging nearly a billion dollars in clean tech
cash from Octopus Energy, whatever that is. And then California
is there meanwhile, paying through the nose for electricity. Y'all
are dodging tents on the sidewalk. Do you buy that
(23:11):
these globe trotting photo ops are helping you? Or is
Gavin just auditioning for World Savior while ignoring the dumpster
fire back home?
Speaker 6 (23:20):
Oh, completely ignoring it, which you know is really sad.
But to your point, at highest rates of inflation energy costs,
try running a business here. It's extremely difficult. Payroll taxes,
property taxes, sales taxes, income taxes, and they want to
pass a new mileage tax. I'm not sure if you've
heard of that, but they're getting really, really greedy right now.
(23:42):
I would actually argue, by the way, there's nothing greedier
than the than the California Franchise Tax Board. That's different conversation,
but I would argue there's something greedier or more selfish
or aggressive than the California Franchise Tax Board. It's insane.
We have the most progressive taxes in this country. If
you're a top income earner in the state of California,
you're essentially losing half of your income to taxes between
(24:04):
the state and the Feds.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
And what does it go to?
Speaker 6 (24:07):
Does it go to better roads?
Speaker 2 (24:08):
Absolutely not.
Speaker 6 (24:09):
Does it go to better schools.
Speaker 2 (24:10):
At least nope.
Speaker 6 (24:11):
Does it go to cleaner parks and nicer beaches, No?
Not really, So where does the money go? Where does
this twenty four billion dollars for homeless spending go? There's
no paper trail, there's no oversight, and there's no accountability.
That's the problem. Unlike in Texas, in California, you have
corruption and competency or it's of magnitude different from what
(24:33):
we see in DC even but there's no accountability. And
that's what's really concerning and confusing. I don't understand why
so many of my fellow Californians don't put more pressure
on their lawmakers or vote for new ones because we
have people here who are qualified and competent, and we
have some great candidates running for governor right now. Will
Needson spends all this time focusing on national politics, just
(24:56):
tweeting all day long trying to get Trump right. He's
more of a social media personality and a celebrity than
a real, you know, legislator or governor of any kind.
But it's clear where his priority is. He wants to
be in the oval office. He wants more power, he
wants the same the fortune, the prestige, but none of
the accountability or the responsibility that comes with the job,
(25:17):
which I guess is you know, kind of part and
personal for a lot of politicians. But he's running one
of the biggest states in the country and at this point,
the only thing that really saves California from total collapse
is the scale of its economy. Same thing with New
York City and Mom Donnie mam Donistan. The only thing
that saving off collapse in New York City right now,
in mom Donistan, I'm really known as the Big Apple.
(25:39):
It is the size of its economy. I mean, one
point two trillion dollars worth of GDP annually in New
York That's the only thing preventing it from becoming the
next Havana. Uh. And there's something to be said for that.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
Okay, so the mayor of New York City obviously not
doing an amazing job since taking over. The latest news
is they want to raise taxes now to pay for
some of this stuff they promised to give away for free.
But it still kind of looks like he doesn't have
the authority to give some of this stuff away for
free in the first place. When do people in New
York City realize they're not getting what they voted for.
Speaker 6 (26:15):
I think they have realized it, and I don't know
what he's going to do. Have you seen these videos
people online? They're upset. They know they got duped, just
like the people of Virginia with Spanberger, who also ran
as a moderate, and then jack taxes immediately. So the
playbook is clear, and that's what their playbook is for
the midterms. By the way, run as a moderate, affordability
(26:35):
the economy, get crime under control, and then as soon
as they get powered, they'll jacket prices the beach Trump.
But anyway, to your point about mom, Donnie, I think
people have realized he's a grifter, he's a communist, he's
clearly unqualified. He just had this his first ever preliminary
budget hearing, and you're right, he's gonna tap into the
Rainy Day Fund and raise either a two percent tax
(26:57):
on top income earners, some millionaires, so they'll just leave
and they'll take their resources, their tax revenue, and their
jobs with them, or he's going to do a nine
point five percent hike on property hacks. This guy said
he was going to implement government run grocery stores, free
public transportation, free childcare, and rent control for at least
(27:18):
one thousand.
Speaker 7 (27:18):
Units in the city.
Speaker 6 (27:20):
So he just flip flopped from rent control to a
nearly ten percent property tax increase. This man is he's
completely unqualified, and they think New Yorkers are realizing that.
I just don't know if he's going to get pulled
from office.
Speaker 2 (27:35):
I hope.
Speaker 7 (27:35):
So this is.
Speaker 6 (27:36):
America's financial center, the country's crown jewel, the quintessential American city,
the city of the world. Right, this is the biggest
financial hub on planet Earth. And you've got someone Mamdani
who's never even had a real job before now running
the place. So I think a lot of people are upset,
and we'll see what happens next, But I think there
will be more to this story.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
I don't know if you really do. I don't know
if you've heard about this yet, but well, I mean
you probably have heard that. It's Black History months. Jesse
Jackson just died, and now Mom Donnie's catching heat from
black political leaders in New York City for not appointing
an African American deputy mayor. Yet, folks are saying it's
diluting black power during a housing crisis, it's pushing families out.
(28:18):
I don't know. I guess the question would be, can
you ever be woke enough for the woke rage mob?
Speaker 6 (28:26):
No? No, it's a gold coast that never stops moving,
a purity.
Speaker 8 (28:31):
Test that nobody can pass.
Speaker 6 (28:34):
Not even the wokest people in America can pass this
purity test.
Speaker 4 (28:38):
Uh.
Speaker 7 (28:39):
And it looks I know Elon.
Speaker 6 (28:40):
Has said this before it's a mind virus. And I
don't know about you, but I firmly believe it is
a mind virus. I hope it goes away. I don't
know if it's curable or treatable. I'd like to see
some data on that. But more seriously, No, there's no
pleasing these people, and there's no negotiating with them, and
there's no reasoning with them, and that's really interesting because Mom, Donnie.
Speaker 7 (29:01):
Just what was it months ago?
Speaker 6 (29:02):
I mean, he comes out of nowhere.
Speaker 2 (29:03):
He's so hot.
Speaker 6 (29:04):
On the campaign trail, he's doing national media. He says,
we're going to embrace the warmth of collectivism. We're going
to reimagine life in New York City. Everything will be
amazing utopia Joseph Stalin esque kind of rhetorics on the
campaign trail, gets elected, swears himself in on a Koran
And here we are less than fifty days later and
people want a refund. He say, I told you so.
Speaker 2 (29:25):
But on the show we.
Speaker 6 (29:26):
Warned about this time and time again. So you know,
you make your bed, you have to lie in it now.
But no, there's you can never be woken up.
Speaker 7 (29:33):
It's no chance. Personal.
Speaker 2 (29:35):
We're trying perfectly explained. Folks. Y'all need to tune in
to Riley Lewis the real story on o AN and
go find him on X. Give him a follow quick break.
Speaker 3 (29:45):
We'll be right back, Alara the government listen live, Listen now, dude, proceed.
Speaker 2 (29:53):
To Happiness Radio.
Speaker 3 (29:54):
It's kind of Webster Junior producer Kenny.
Speaker 2 (30:00):
It impossible to ignore all the insanity of what's been
going on in early voting around the state of Texas
this week, and there's been a lot of crazy stuff.
The national news media is obsessed with all the things
AOC just said in Munich. Here is her She a
very interesting answer to this question about what we're supposed
to do about what was it? Income inequality? In what
(30:23):
was it? She was discussing, well, among other things, Venezuela
go ahead, AOC.
Speaker 9 (30:28):
Recent polls have shown a fifth of Americans can't locate
the US on a world map.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
Why do you think this is?
Speaker 9 (30:37):
I personally believe that US Americans are unable to do
so because some people out there in our nation don't
have that. And I believe that our education like such
as in South Africa and Iraq everywhere like such US,
and I believe that they should. Our education over here
(31:02):
in the US should help the US, or should help
South Africa, It should help direct in the Asian countries,
so we will be able to build up our future.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
For Mark Mario Lopez smiling when Miss South Carolina Miss
tem Usa, was asked that question in two thousand and seven,
I'm sorry that was not AOC. Here's AOC telling you
Venezuelas south of the equator, but it's actually very much
north of it.
Speaker 10 (31:26):
You know, we look at what happened in Venezuela, for example.
Speaker 2 (31:30):
It is not a.
Speaker 10 (31:34):
Is It is not a remark on who Maduro was
as a leader. He canceled elections, He was an anti
democratic leader. That doesn't mean that we can kidnap ahead
of state and engage in acts of war just because
the nation is below the equator.
Speaker 2 (31:52):
Okay, so the nation's not below the equator, it's north
of the equator. But boy, she sure is pretty, isn't she.
Daniel Turner from Power of the Future.
Speaker 7 (32:01):
It was remarkable to.
Speaker 8 (32:02):
See her on the world state. It's remarkable that she
would place herself in that role. The Munich Security Conference
is an annual thing. It's the big boy table, right.
Speaker 7 (32:13):
I don't think, and I consider myself a kind of
smart guy.
Speaker 8 (32:17):
I would not be comfortable being invited to the Munich
Security Conference to talk about certain things without an awful
lot of prep. But AOC is nothing if she is
not confident. And so to go to that audience and
get asked serious, big boy questions about international affairs and
what's going on, and as she says Venezuela, right, I
(32:41):
love whenever you have to pronounce the Latino word, you
find an accent. No one does that with Japanese words, right,
wouldn't it be funny if she was like, let me
tell you something about to yo.
Speaker 7 (32:50):
You know, she's why do you only do that with
Spanish words? You put on this sudden accent. But to
see her, to see her be clown herself, it is
the perfect use of the verb to be clown. She
beclowned herself in Munich. She embarrassed herself on the world stage.
Speaker 2 (33:08):
And I know that others have made this point, but
I feel we really have to stress this. This was
a securities conference. It wasn't a wealth, income inequality conference,
So why is she there trying to talk about anything
except for the given topic.
Speaker 8 (33:23):
Yeah, well, it shows you how good her team is
that they got her on the list because she has
no background in international affairs or national security. I don't
even think she's on any of the international or national
security committees in the Congress. But she gets herself into
these crowds and she tries to convince everybody that wealth
inequality and human rights and all this stuff as social
(33:47):
justice are the root causes of everything. But that's a
lot of nonsense. Remember Kamala back early in the vice
presidential days when she would talk about the root causes
of immigration, and it was but you know, the root
causes as a load of nonsense if you don't know
what you're talking about. On security issues on Venezuela, on Afghanistan, Russia, Ukraine,
(34:11):
on Taiwan, she was asked whether or not the US
would defend Taiwan if there was an invasion, and she
ed an odd for about thirty seconds straight, just again
be clowning herself on the world stage.
Speaker 2 (34:26):
Okay, So with that in mind, AOC is not the
only person from New York City who's publicly embarrassing themselves
this week. We discussed this briefly earlier on the show
with Riley Lewis, but I'd love to get your take
on it. We have a lot of people who are
looking right now very deeply, very closely at some of
the promises that were made by Zorhan, Mom, Donnie are
(34:46):
new incoming. I don't know how else to describe it.
A communist dictator of New York City A little bit
like South Korea and North Korea. You can compare what
happens when Marxism is introduced to a society by looking
at Texas and New US York City over the next decade,
Mom Donnie observing Ramadan publicly in city hall, but also
(35:06):
making a lot of very big promises about free stuff
that he can't deliver on. But in the meantime he's
raising taxes.
Speaker 7 (35:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 8 (35:15):
I have a lot of friends who don't celebrate Ramadan
in New York City anymore because they were in the
towers when they went down. So it is kind of
shocking to see the celebration of Islam in New York City.
But Mom Donmi is doing exactly what everyone who knows
socialists knew he would do. You make a lot of
(35:37):
promises on the campaign trail. Hugo Chavas did this right,
Mawsey Doung did this. You make a lot of promises,
but now to fulfill those promises, you have to punish everybody.
And Mam Dami promised free stuff for the whole world, right,
free stuff for every immigrant who shows up to New
York housing, free buses, free subways, free education, free child care,
(35:59):
free healthcare.
Speaker 7 (36:00):
But now he realizes he doesn't have.
Speaker 8 (36:02):
The levers to increase the revenue so he has to
find the money from somewhere, you know, just a one
fun little side note.
Speaker 7 (36:10):
And boy, I'm so glad I don't.
Speaker 8 (36:12):
Live in New York City anymore, because it really would
just be full of depression and sadness. In Mayor Bloomberg's
last year in New York City, which was only nine
years ago, right, or I'm sorry, twelve years ago. In
Mayor Bloomberg's last year in New York City, the budget
was seventy billion dollars. It is now up to one
hundred and twenty seven billion. Not quite double, but very
(36:34):
very close. And you want to say to New Yorkers,
are you getting eighty five percent more value for your government?
Are you getting eighty five percent more snow removal, garbage, cleanup, crime,
public safety order, you know services? Where the hell is
all of that money going to go from seventy billion
(36:55):
to one hundred and twenty seven billion.
Speaker 7 (36:57):
In just a decade?
Speaker 2 (36:59):
Is that? Is you?
Speaker 7 (37:00):
What happens when democrats.
Speaker 8 (37:01):
Are in control.
Speaker 2 (37:02):
It's just totally stolen, all right? So all the liberal
elitist communists we just discussed AOC and Mom Donnie both
openly against arresting Maduro. Mom Donnie famously said he was
briefed on Maduro's arrest. He got the news from the
New York Times, just like you and I did. Now
we're getting oil from Venezuela. I gotta tell you, when
(37:23):
this news first broke, I was skeptical about getting involved
in Venezuela. I was worried we were going to go
to war down there. We didn't. It was quick. It
was swift. The Western hemisphere is ours, It's our property
America first. I don't care what anybody says. I'm glad
how it was handled. But with all that being said,
what do you think should happen next? Now we've got
that oil right now, it's coming to places like South Mississippi,
(37:46):
South Louisiana, Texas, where you know it's going to be
sent to our refineries. Pretty soon. People are going to
be pumping that into their minivans and SUVs. And you know,
with US refineries like Valero wrapping up Venezuela and crude
imports to over two hundred thousand barrels per day, how
does this post Maduro access compared to domestic drilling? And ultimately,
(38:08):
do you think it's going to lower gas prices for America.
Speaker 8 (38:11):
I think it's going to keep gas prices at the
low rate that they're at, and more supply obviously does
lower the price of any commodity. But what I like
most about President Trump's actions is the deeply held belief
that you can control the oil, you can control the world.
OPEK has known this, It's why OPEK was created, and
Venezuela is a founding member of OPEK. They have a
(38:32):
very different world agenda though than America does. And I
believe America, as you do in your audience, says America
is the ultimate force for good. So let's control the
world's oil, and we will control the world's order. Not
the New World order, the American agenda on the world stage,
which means we prevent bad guys from getting rich and powerful.
Madua was funding and financing Marxism throughout the hemisphere. He
(38:58):
was supporting Cuba, which funds and foments Marxism throughout America.
Control the oil, control the world, and we will do
that in the Middle East, and we'll do that in
Russia and Ukraine. Will prevent China frecoming rich and powerful.
So it is just pure brilliant.
Speaker 7 (39:15):
Strategy of this administration.
Speaker 8 (39:17):
It's very much a page out of Ronald Reagan's playbook.
We are using the economy to control and set the
tone for world peace, and that's a great thing.
Speaker 2 (39:26):
I love it. My man Daniel Turner, Powerthefuture dot Com.
