Speaker 1 (00:00):
That guan government sucks. Suit of Happiness radio is DeLux.
Liberty and freedom will make you smile. A suit of
happiness on your radio tol just as cheeseburger is a
liberty rise at.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
The food of.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Breaking news. Oh you're gonna love this, folks.

Speaker 4 (00:26):
The Department of Homeland Security is selling Christy Nomes luxury jet.
It actually includes a bedroom set that she used, and
it comes with a two million dollars cleaning fee. On
the show this afternoon, we're gonna have Tony Ortiz here.
We're gonna do a deep dive into that bedroom.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
No, I'm just kidding. We're gonna do a deep dive
into the.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
Latest in the Senate race, James Tallery go versus Ken
Paxton going head.

Speaker 5 (00:51):
To head in the octagon, no holds bar. It's a
blood match. Actually it's not that interesting, but no, it's
kind of interesting. What involves their sex Suddenly, their sex
life is very important to everybody, and the World Cups
coming to Houston.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
What does that mean for you? It won't be good.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
We'll get to all of it real soon, but first,
another Pride Month kicks off well yesterday, but I wasn't
here yesterday.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
I was in Vegas. Pardon me, I'm back now, which.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
Means it's time for me to tell you about the
usual rainbow colored corporate virtue signaling, the parades that look
like rejected circus sole auditions, and every media outlet reminding
us that stray people are basically the human equivalent of
plain oatmeal. How exhausting for those of us normal folks
who just want to grill, complain about taxes, and maybe

(01:39):
hold hands with the opposite sex without hearing a ted
talk lecture us about it.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
It's the annual reminder that the culture has.

Speaker 4 (01:46):
Declared heterosexuality problematic again. A somewhat recent installment in this
festival of gloom came from a viral New York Times
magazine piece by a writer we will call Heado Fatalist,
probably because the trouble with wanting men was a little
too on the nose. In it, our heroine the author

(02:07):
chronicles the horror of modern dating men who flake, men
who get anxious, men who can't commit or emote or
whatever the therapy speak flavor.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Of the month is.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
It's framed as profound feminist insight poor straight white women
trapped in a hellscape of inadequate, males refuse to be
emotional support tampons. The subtext straight relationships are doomed, men
are trash, but please keep swiping, and the whole heterosexual

(02:41):
enterprise was a mistake. Gender war patriarchy. Send help now,
or at least send more cats. Come on, lady, you
are not the trojan princess warning us about wooden horses
that nobody believes you.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Are just confused.

Speaker 4 (02:56):
You are the dating app equivalent of that friend who
orders the case El Salad, hates it, and then writes
a three thousand word blog post about how Lettuce betrayed
you the same new sweetheart. The big revelation pedaled in
these pieces is that men and women have conflicting values.
Young women lean left, young men lean right.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
Shocking.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
Next, you'll tell me politicians lie and beer tastes better
when it's cold.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
Newsflash.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
Men and women have been at cultural opposite ends of
the spectrum since Adam and Eve got into an argument
about who ate that apple first. History is littered with
these supposed gender wars, Victorian ladies clutching pearls over suffrage
while their husbands clutched newspapers and grumbled about hysterical females

(03:47):
flappers in the nineteen twenties bobbing their hair and smoking,
scandalizing traditional men who preferred wives who did not look
like they escaped to jazz asylum. The nineteen sixties and
seventies had braw burners arguing with male chauvinus pigs, complete
with protest signs that make today's TikTok meltdowns look tame.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
Sorry, I almost lost my voice there.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
Even the ancient Romans had poets whining that women were
too independent and men too soft. This is not an
unprecedented apocalypse, my friends. It is Tuesday in human civilization.
Every time technology, or economics or fashion shakes things up.

Speaker 3 (04:28):
Boom, another round of the sexes are doomed. But they're not.
And here's the hilarious part. The heteropessimists miss.

Speaker 4 (04:35):
All this data proving men and women have different values
does not debunk traditional gender roles. It actually proves them.
Men and women are different biologically psychologically on average, in
ways that evolution did not ask social media for permission
to create. One sex built most of the civilization. The
other kept the species going by selecting who gets to

(04:58):
contribute the genes, complaining that young men want competence and respect,
while young women want emotional security and provision. Is like
complaining that the sun is hot. Traditional roles were not
some evil plot. They were survival software that worked for
a millennia until we decided to uninstall it for the

(05:20):
false promise of personal empowerment. Actually, this is the best
time to ever be straight. Strip away the performative despair
in the apps that turn dating into a dystopian vending machine,
and the straight life is thriving in ways our ancestors
would have envied. You have more freedom than any generation
in history. You want a traditional setup with a breadwinner

(05:44):
dad and a stay at home mom raising the kids,
go for it. No feudal lord will stop you. You
want dual careers, adventures, and splitting chores like weird egalitarian
roommates also fine. No arranged marriages, no mandatory's course. It's
no dying in childbirth at age twenty eight because medicine

(06:05):
was leeches in prayer. Men can be providers without being
drafted into wars started by kings. Women can pursue careers
without being property. You can meet people the old fashioned
way bars churches, mutual friends instead of algorithmically optimized resentment factories.
You know the apps right now. Sex is abundant if

(06:30):
you're not a complete disaster. Marriage, when chosen wisely, still
delivers companionship, kids who look like both of you, and
someone to split the mortgage with.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
It is not doomed.

Speaker 4 (06:41):
It is optional, abundant, and full of upside for anyone
with basic social skills and low time preference. The gender
war is mostly on runtline rage bait for Manosphere clicks
and only fans subscriptions. In real life, most men and
women still like each other, hook up, pair off, and
muddle through. The pessimism is a luxury belief for people

(07:04):
with too much therapy and not enough real problems. So
this Pride month while the usual suspects turn June into
a month long scold about how your normal desires are problematic,
Please remember being straight is great. Men and women compliment
each other like steak and bourbon. Heteropessimism is the lie

(07:24):
sold by people who turned their personal dating fails into
political identity. Ignore the noise, delete the apps if they're toxic,
talk to actual humans, and get on with building something real.
The sexes have always clashed, They will always reconcile. This
is not a bug. It is the feature that kept
humanity going. Now, excuse me while I go be happy,

(07:48):
happily heterosexual somewhere the rainbows cannot find me.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
Yeah, we'll be right back.

Speaker 6 (07:57):
Everything you've heard is a lie, well unless you heard
it from the mouth of Kenny Webster, all facts, even
the bit about his little Kenny.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
Hey, oh sorry, bro, I mean Big Kenny.

Speaker 6 (08:09):
You're listening to Kenny Webster's pursuit of happiness.

Speaker 4 (08:15):
It is election day in many parts of the country,
but not everywhere. In some parts of the country, it's
almost election day coming up in the upcoming.

Speaker 3 (08:23):
Weeks and days. I'll give you an example.

Speaker 4 (08:26):
Democrats in Maine sweating bullets over their Senate golden boy
Graham Platner, the oyster shucking, tattooed ex marine who's one
leaked penis pick away from becoming the biggest self owned
since Hunter Biden's laptop.

Speaker 3 (08:40):
Dude's got a Reddit history that.

Speaker 4 (08:42):
Makes them sound like a communist insult who hates cops.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
Makes him sound like I think that's what he is.

Speaker 4 (08:47):
He loves to drink, and apparently he loves to get
Nazi tattoos and somehow people in Maine can't decide between
him and milk toast Susan Collins, Are you kidding me? Meanwhile,
the People's Republic of Los Angeles. You got Spencer Pratt, Yes,
that Spencer Pratt from the Hills, the villainous reality TV star.

(09:08):
It's actually seems like a pretty nice enough guy doing
fairly well in the polls. But do you believe he
could actually win? I'm a little skeptical. Joining us right
now is the absolute beast of the energy industry fighting
for America's real backbone, Daniel Turner, founder and executive director
of Power the Future. While Coastal Elite's virtue signal about
windmills and solar scams, Daniel's out there crushing it for

(09:32):
the hard working men and women in rural energy communities
who actually keep the lights on. Daniel, how you been, buddy.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
Anny's great to be on with you this afternoon.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
How are you, my man? I am well.

Speaker 4 (09:43):
I just got back from Vegas yesterday and this isn't
at all what we were going to talk about, but
I couldn't help but notice there's like four different comedy
movements happening around the country right now. If you watch
that Kevin Hart roast. Everybody was mad that Shane Gellis
and Tony Hingecliffe come out and how racist, misogynistic, homophobic jokes.
Then in New York they've got woke comedy right now.

(10:05):
I don't know if you've heard about woke comedy. It's
not very good. But I was just in Vegas where
people are still doing impersonations of Ronald Reagan and playing
acoustic guitar while they changed the lyrics to Neil diamond songs.
It's like we live in four different countries at once.
It's a very weird time to do comedy in this country.

Speaker 2 (10:24):
Daniel, it was remarkable to see Chelsea Handler be so
offended at comedy because she's epitomizing the way the left
has become. Right. She took offense that the jokes were
sexist and they were racist, and they were jokes, right,
that they were jokes, And I thought we've moved past this,

(10:45):
but it shows how the left has just absolutely no
sense of humor whatsoever. The only funny comedians during that
roast of Kevin Hart or Tony Hinchcliff and Jane Dillis
the other just were kind of functory, right, that's kind
of what you expect at this point. So it's just
sad to see comedians and the losers.

Speaker 4 (11:06):
I enjoyed watching the Roast, but it reminded me of
what just happened yesterday. Liberal entertainers don't know what to
do because they're trying to pander to a base of
people that have to be offended by everything. A legion
of fans walked out of a Black Crows concert in
Florida over the weekend after the lead singer, Christopher Robinson
told them to stop chanting USA Hollywood losers, incapable of

(11:29):
understanding why average people are proud to live here. By
the way, an hour later, I read a research study
pointing out how none of this matters. The Black Crows
will be fine. Research seems to suggest whenever an artist
creates political controversy, it tends to galvanize both sides of
the spectrum, one towards the artist, one away. Again, just
another example. We live in three different countries, four different

(11:51):
countries at once.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
Daniel, Yeah, it's a great point, and it's just frustrating
at this point that it only goes in one direction. Right,
If you're Lebron James and you shill for Kamala or
for Barack Obama. And you know, every time speaking to
the press, when he would be on page one of
whatever book he was pretending to read and he would

(12:13):
talk about the importance of electing democrats. You kind of
roll your eyes and be like, h here he goes.
But but that was it. You moved on. But if
you're Jackson Dart and you you you introduced the president
on your own time of the way. It wasn't like
it was in the locker room or post game. Who's
the cur right, the NBA coach of Who the hell

(12:34):
is he? The coach of Steve Curry? He's always talking
about politics, right, those people never seem to get blasted.
But if you do anything that is remotely you know,
pro Republican or pro not even pro Maga. Some of
these artists who have who have caved to the masses.
On the America two fifty concert, this wasn't a Trump rally.
This is the concert the day before the fourth of

(12:56):
July on the National Mall. It's like, I can't be
part of this. Needa McBride, who the hell remembers the
need to McBride any you should be thrilled that we
gave you another chance, lady, and instead you're just a
bunch of cowards.

Speaker 4 (13:10):
Yeah, Martina McBride, I know I didn't care about her either. Hey,
none of this is stuff you and I were planning
to talk about, But I think that makes for better
radio and podcast conversations. Daniel, did you see this tweet
from the US Jewish Democrats group how pride gay pride
is Judaism and Judaism is gay Pride? When I saw
the tweet, I thought it was a Nick Fuentes meme.

(13:32):
At first, I thought it was something that like the
Gropers or David Duke Hauld posted, and then I realized
it was a real thing that they and now they
just I noticed seconds ago as you were talking, they
deleted the tweet. They took it down. The Jewish Democrats
don't want to tell you that gay pride is Judaism.
What is how far do.

Speaker 3 (13:49):
We have to go? Where?

Speaker 4 (13:50):
Kind of like Tallarico here in Texas, people are willing
to totally distort their own religious beliefs to fit the
structure in context of what modern and day politically correct
liberalism is supposed to entail.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
I'm trying to remember in the Talmud, when Abraham was
bringing his son Isaac to as a holocaust to the
I don't remember them stopping it like a parride parade,
you know, or or or the Lord commanding him that
you will sacrifice your after you make him fabulous, right,

(14:24):
and then you will offer him to me as as
a hot holocaust. It's just nonsense. It's just so, you know,
you get so tired of it. No one does more
damage to gay people than other gay people. And it's funny.
If you look at any statistics about acceptance of gay
people in America, they are headed in the wrong direction.

(14:46):
And it's all because of other gay people. It's because
of gay pride parades. It's because of the incessant flags
and glitter and trans flags and just shoving it down
the throats of kids.

Speaker 7 (14:58):
You know.

Speaker 2 (14:58):
The hard part of equality is that you're the same
as everybody else, And it does make you wonder a
lot of these minority groups they don't really want equality.
They want special trends. It's all to be treated like
everybody else, But if you continually make yourself a victim,
then you're special. And gay people don't want to be
like everyone else they want to be special.

Speaker 4 (15:19):
Yeah, the problem with pandering to subcultures and little minority
groups all the time is that at some point you
alienate the mainstream. And that's really been the problem with
twenty first century liberalism ever since Obama left office. But
I do remember to to your point, though, I do
remember that great classic Baptist, that old Southern hymn when

(15:40):
Moses was in Egypt, plan let my freak flag fly.

Speaker 1 (15:50):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
We used to sing that back in Sunday school. It
was a good old time. It's just in Santi. This
month is in Sannie. I don't think it's going to
be as bad as it was in the past. I
think a lot of groups have learned their lesson. They've
learned the bud Light lesson. And that's a good thing, right,
that there is something good about mainstream, and we want
people to be mainstream. Of course, I'm not mainstream. I'm

(16:13):
pretty much as far right as you could possibly go.
But but but being in the middle is good and
healthy for a country. And that means you're you're You
don't have to change the avatar on your social media
handle for every thing of the month, right, you can
just be mainstream. And that's good.

Speaker 3 (16:31):
Yeah, imagine that.

Speaker 4 (16:32):
Hey, before we run out of time, let's talk for
a couple of minutes about what we were actually going
to talk about.

Speaker 3 (16:36):
Daniel Planner.

Speaker 4 (16:38):
Grand Planner's got more scandals than oysters have pearls uh.

Speaker 3 (16:43):
He's on Reddit back in the day with his commie rants.

Speaker 4 (16:46):
He's got a tattoo about Nazism, sexting scandal against his wife.

Speaker 3 (16:51):
Here's what I wonder, though, does any of this matter?
Do voters even care anymore?

Speaker 4 (16:54):
It's a I mean, to some extent, isn't it nice
that people care more about policy than scandal? But on
the other hand, when does the personal life of an
elected official matter these days?

Speaker 2 (17:06):
Well, and this is where we have to stop using
that phrase, and we need to retire it completely. That's
not who we are. That's the favor of the left. Right,
that's not who we are. A child doesn't have healthcare,
that's not who we are. Well, if your candidates have
Nazi tattoos, you can't then say that's not who we are,
because it is who you are, right, I mean, we crucified,

(17:28):
or the left tried to crucify President Trump for what
he said on an open mic hypothetically locker room talk
back in twenty sixteen about you grab him by the
X he did. He said, oh, are so hot for you?
You could grab them by? That was his almost his undoing.
That started a whole pink hat movement, and here's a

(17:52):
guy who's actually doing it, and the Left is like,
it's fine, it's fine. And something you said in your intro,
which I think is so important, is that they're doing
this against Susan Collins. I have no love loss for
Senator Collins because, like I said, I am about as
far right as you can get. But Susan Collins is
exactly who the left tells us they need to work
with in the Senate. She's pro choice, she voted for

(18:16):
every single Obama appointee and Biden appointee, she confirmed every
Biden judge. Right, she is absolutely as squish as you
could get, and yet they are hell bent on destroying her.
I thought, this is who you want in the Senate, right,
the moderate stuff. So it shows you that is who
the left is. They have no tolerance for anyone who

(18:36):
does not push their at the agenda. They'll even elect
the Nazi if that will help them have more people
to get them more power.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
Aimen to that now.

Speaker 4 (18:44):
On that note, Meanwhile, in Los Angeles, Spencer Pratt is
running for office. I don't know if I believe the
polling data. The New York Post comes out with a
poll that says he could win this race. Yeah, anything
could happen, but I trust that about as much as
I trust these leftists polls saying tallar Rico could be
the next Senator of Texas.

Speaker 3 (19:03):
Your thoughts, Yeah, I don't want.

Speaker 2 (19:07):
To dishearten anybody. You do get hopes, and it's hard
to crush people's hopes, so I don't want to do that.
But I don't think Spencer has any hope in Los Angeles.
And the main reason why is not because of numbers.
It's not because there are more registered Dems than Republicans.
It's because the left cannot lose California. You look at

(19:27):
the hatred they have for President Trump because he fixed
a fountain that's been twenty years leaking and crappy and
full of algae, and he fixed it. And they hate
the fact that he fixed it because it shines the
light on them to say, what the hell did you
guys do the last twenty years? If Spencer Pratt is
able to shine a light on Los Angeles and say,

(19:48):
remember all those camps they're gone. Oh yeah, they hate that.
They hate the fact that President Trump closed the border. Right,
they said for four years they needed special legislation to
stop the mass mic the caravans, Kenny, How long ago
was it that every summer, week after week you saw
these lines of nine thousand, ten thousand Mexicans walking in

(20:10):
solidarity to the border. How did that all stop? Right?
All it took was someone willing to do it. And
that's why they hate President Trump. If Spencer Pratt is
able to shine a light on the past and say,
we didn't have to live like this, We didn't have
to have crackhors and heroin attics in front of our children, right,
they can't let that happen. California is there in their baby.

(20:34):
They are never going to let So. I don't want
to dishearten people, but they can't let Spencer Pratt win
because it will shine a light on them and they
hate lights shine on them.

Speaker 4 (20:45):
Daniel Turner the website Powerthfuture dot com follow him on
acts Slate.

Speaker 6 (20:49):
Last night, after a few beers, we discovered the art
of deceiving politicians. Just tell them the truth and they'll
never believe you. Kenny Webster's pursuit of happiness.

Speaker 4 (21:00):
The twenty twenty six FIFA World Cup is coming to
NRG Stadium, and Houston's promoters are positively giddy. Billboards are blooming,
committees are convening, Economic impact reports are shinier than a
new paraclet's. Yet for some strange reason, your average Houstonian

(21:21):
isn't exactly fireworks level thrilled. Why is that your average
person in the city not repainting their f one P
fifty with soccer balls or practicing their vuvazella skills?

Speaker 3 (21:32):
Is that what?

Speaker 2 (21:32):
That is?

Speaker 7 (21:34):
No?

Speaker 3 (21:34):
Why? Why the surprising lack of excitement?

Speaker 4 (21:37):
Who doesn't love a generous helping of increased crime, soul
crushing traffic, soul melting June heat, and a sick globalist
sports organization that treats our city like an ATM while
their real profits get wired to people who don't live here.
Oh uh, I guess I just answered my own question.
FIFA is on track to pocket a cool eleven billion

(21:58):
dollars Houston's thrilling reward. We get to cover security and
shuttles and lastman and infrastructure for visitors and tax breaks
and then hope we can break even accounted speak for
thanks for playing taxpayers. The much hyped one point five
billion dollar local impact mostly means short term visitor dollars
that leak out faster than our AC in August. Contrast

(22:22):
that with the Houston Livestock Show and rodeo. For those
that are not aware, and I'm sure you all are,
that's our hometown nonprofit champion. It funnels over thirty million
dollars a year into scholarships and youth programs with a
lifetime giving topping six hundred and sixty million dollars that
actually sticks around Texas. Yeah, imagine that it's actually good
for the economy.

Speaker 2 (22:43):
Here.

Speaker 4 (22:44):
One's a community investment. The other is letting your free
loading cousin throw a three week kegger in handing him
your credit card. Local businesses get glorious buy Houston vendor
programs for barricades and napkins. But FIFA has something called
clean Zone. They turn NRG and EDO into the no
fun police state. Oh you've not heard. Small restaurants and

(23:07):
shops aren't allowed to put up their own soccer them
signs no they'll be punished. They're not allowed to run
unapproved specials or even advertise World Cup taco deals without
risking a fine from the branding cops or even worse,
a lawsuit. Meanwhile, massive corporate sponsors get to plaster everything.
Locals get regulated into silence while outsiders cash the checks.

(23:31):
Pre event construction has traffic performing its usual abstract art
piece our signature medium, and then the main event arrives
half a million visitors in our signature one hundred degree
swamp summer freeways achieve legendary gridlock services, grown hospitals brace
history adds the charm. You remember the Super Bowl that

(23:52):
triggered some major stings, netting over one hundred local arrests
tied to things like prostitution and human trafficking. Not good
Astro World and NRG gave us ten dead and hundreds
injured in one afternoon of crowded genius. Big events have
this adorable habit of boosting theft and disorder and opportunistic nonsense.

(24:15):
That's the only sport where you can watch for ninety
minutes and the most exciting thing is someone pretending to
be injured. Soccer, isn't it great? You'd think a World
Cup host city would be soccer crazy. The Houston Dynamos
actually don't have as many fans as you'd think. No
one's really watching that on TV. Why is soccer so boring?

(24:38):
I don't know. It's basically twenty two guys running around
for ninety minutes and only two to three of them
actually accomplish anything. What's the difference between soccer and a
box of rocks? Well, eventually the box of rocks might
do something interesting. Here in Houston, the Dynamo not exactly

(25:00):
as popular as the Texans are the Astros. This is
still a proud Big four sports town. We're football and
baseball rule. Soccer has its devoted pockets and decent niche
TV numbers for big international matches, but it doesn't dominate bar.

Speaker 3 (25:16):
Talk or office pools.

Speaker 4 (25:18):
The World Cup feels less like a victory lap and
more like FIFA scanning the map and saying this place
looks rentable. In the end, here in Houston, we will
do what we always do. We will survive with complaints
and brisket and world class stubbornness. We'll get some hotel
cash and temporary sidewalks that should have existed anyway, the

(25:38):
global spotlight arrives, whether we cartwheel it out or not.
Just don't expect pure joy in the seat. We're too
busy calculating the real cost and perfecting our dramatic flop
when the bill shows up. After all, soccer is just
eleven guys kicking a ball around for two hours.

Speaker 3 (25:55):
If I wanted to.

Speaker 4 (25:56):
Watch that ed, go to a middle school recess. It's
like chess, except the pieces are overpaid, the board is huge,
and nobody ever checkmates. It just ends in a tie.
Soccer sucks, doesn't it anyway? Viva Fifa, Here comes the
World Cup. Yay, lucky us.

Speaker 6 (26:14):
We could certainly slow the aging process if aging had
to pass its way through slow ass Congress. Take another vacation,
Why don't you Kenny Webster's pursuit of happiness.

Speaker 4 (26:27):
Epola's coming to Houston. We got a place at the
airport now where they're going to be testing people for ebola,
just in time for the World Cup. You're probably wondering
why would that come to Houston. Well, Abola is continuing
to spread in the Congo. And if this is affecting
your summer vacation plans, have you not heard of Hawaii
just go to Disney.

Speaker 3 (26:46):
World, Like, what is the deal?

Speaker 4 (26:47):
I don't know anyway, that being said, if you don't
have summer vacation plans, We're doing a comedy show Friday,
June twelfth, and it is just about sold out. There's
only a little bit of room left in the back
of the club, some standing room only seats back by bar,
if that's even if there are even seats. You know
who else is gonna be at the comedy show, My
good friend Tony Ortiz from Current Revolt dot com. And

(27:08):
you know who won't be there, Bennie Johnson. Tony, would
you explain to the audience why I just said all
of that.

Speaker 8 (27:15):
Yeah, So, the Republican Party of Texas announced yesterday that
Bennie Johnson, former plagiarists and.

Speaker 9 (27:24):
Alleged former yeah former right, yeah, you still get dinged
for it quite a bit for plagiarizing tweets and alleged
alleged by my Louneapolis, alleged closeted gay man, is headlining
the American Patriot Gala for the Republican Party of Texas.

Speaker 4 (27:43):
Why why do we need a guy that's not from
Texas who's kind of famous for plagiarizing. I mean, he's
very If you google the word Bennie Johnson and plagiarism,
a lot of stuff pops up. He got fired from BuzzFeed.
I don't even think that's the only job he lost
for stealing other people's content of articles, tweets, people's video.
Benny Johnson is one of the worst people in conservative media.

Speaker 3 (28:06):
I will go on record saying that, Tony.

Speaker 8 (28:09):
Yeah, I mean, I I don't know why Abraham George
as the chairman of the Republican Party.

Speaker 10 (28:15):
I don't know why he scheduled them. I don't know, man.

Speaker 8 (28:17):
I imagine this is desperate for talent. I think that's
the only thing I can think of. But who knows?
Who knows? But yeah, he's the MC for the gala.
So you can go to that, or you can go
to your comedy event, which is going on around the
same time.

Speaker 3 (28:32):
Thank you for bringing that up.

Speaker 4 (28:33):
You know, I know you and I feel a little
differently about Abraham George, the Chairman of the Republican Party.

Speaker 3 (28:38):
He will actually be here this Friday. I'm gonna be
interviewing him.

Speaker 4 (28:41):
But that being said, I will not be at the
gala next Friday because we're gonna do something more fun
at the House of Blues. There's only a few seats left.
There's only a few tickets left for that, if anybody
wants to go. But anyway, this isn't about trashing the
Republican State Party of Texas.

Speaker 3 (28:56):
I don't have an issue with them. I'm a proud
voter of the Republican Party.

Speaker 4 (28:59):
I am curious, though, tall Rico, you got attacked by
a lot of baby boomers over the last forty eight
hours because of two different reports you did on James Tallerico.
Could you explain what is going on with Ken Paxton's
Democrat political opponent.

Speaker 8 (29:16):
Yeah, so, James Rico is a state House representative who
was running against Ken Paxton for Senate right, and he
is the He's I guess what you would call the
Democrat Party's new Beto Arouric right. And so last week
we when amyc we mean current revolt, we published the.

Speaker 10 (29:32):
Information on his current girlfriend.

Speaker 8 (29:34):
And the reason we did that was a lot of
these outlets were openly openly doxing basically Ken Paxton's current
kind of girlfriend or romantic partner. They were posting her age,
her number of children, where her ex husband worked, and
where she lived. But they were they were not posting
any information on the woman that James Tallerico was dating.

(29:56):
So we posted it, right, So you know, a substanti
amount of liberal journalists and you know, liberal baby boomers
were very upset that I had posted the information about sorry,
James Talerico's girlfriend, which is kind of funny because again
they were they were very happy to talk openly about
Ken Paxton's new girlfriend, so.

Speaker 3 (30:16):
They were mad.

Speaker 8 (30:17):
The liberal boomers were mad at me about that. And
then yesterday James Tallerco was in Plano Plano, Texas, and
he was doing a rally there which had about four
thousand people there. But we covered that and I covered
it fairly and I talked about the crowd size and
who all was there and what he said. And I've
got the Now he got the right wing boomers mad
at me for covering the events.

Speaker 10 (30:37):
So I've got I've got both sides upseting me.

Speaker 4 (30:39):
Okay, let's talk about Tallerico's love life for a minute.
He dates a lobbyist, she used to be his employee.
She's in politics. Clearly there's a conflict of interest there.
What kind of lobbyist vaccine mandates in abortion, two things
that are not very popular with Texas voters. Last time
I checked, even moderates don't seemed to like vaccine mandates.

(31:01):
And by the way, I don't know if you caught this.
Somebody found an old tweet. I retweeted it. It was
from twenty nineteen of him sending flowers to a different
female legislative staffer from Austin, Texas. How many low ranking
employees in Austin, Texas has this guy dated? I mean,
he's an elected official. That seems a little inappropriate.

Speaker 8 (31:24):
Yeah, I mean, you can make the argument, you know,
Brian Slayton got DMed with this, right, was he was
hooking up with his his staffer, right, although the circumstances
were very different.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
Right.

Speaker 8 (31:33):
But but you know, there's currently no law or rule
in place in the Texas legislator about elected officials dating
their suborts of their staffers. There's nothing currently and believe
or not in the the US send it. There's not
a rule against it either. But but yeah, it's many

(31:54):
people are arguing that, you know, it's it's got ethical
issues and it's maybe crossing the line. But there there
may be a pattern of behavior with James Tallerico and staffers.

Speaker 4 (32:04):
All right, So, yeah, that being said, if that's true,
I'm just gonna climb out on a limb here and
guess nobody's gonna talk about it.

Speaker 3 (32:12):
What are the latest betting odds on this election?

Speaker 10 (32:15):
Yeah, it's showing Ken Paxson.

Speaker 8 (32:17):
You know, we reported this morning and I don't have
the top of it at the top of my head,
but I know that it shows that Ken Paxton's leading.
And you know, I'm pulling it up right now as
we're talking, and it shows that Ken Paxson's up at
fifty nine percent and James Tallerrico's at forty one, at
least on the prediction market right now. If you, if you,
if you're somebody who listens to these liberal surveys and

(32:37):
these polisters, they'll say it's neck and neck. But the
people who who put their money with their matches are
saying that Ken Paxson's got a fifty nine percent chance
at least on the call sheet betting market.

Speaker 4 (32:49):
You know, what nobody talks about prediction marketing with these
two guys is actual policy. Nobody actually talks about Ken
Paxton's record helping out with ford billion dollars uncollected child support,
money for single moms, stopping human trafficking, lawsuits against big tech,
over child safety, opioid settlements.

Speaker 3 (33:09):
In the meantime, I mean, what what does James do now?

Speaker 4 (33:13):
People want to have a conversation about their love lives
and how that's gonna affect the outcome of the election.
What about an actual conversation about who's been more helpful
for the average person in Texas, totally absent from their
so called scandals or their dating lives.

Speaker 8 (33:28):
Yeah, I'd love to see like an actual policy debate, right,
It would love to see a debate between Paxton and
tell Rico. I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen.
I think that would potentially be a disaster for at
least one of them, So I don't I don't think
that we'll see a debate, but I'm hoping that we will,
and that you you know, you'll see a discussion over
policy versus just like calling each other weird names or

(33:51):
talking about each other's dietary.

Speaker 10 (33:54):
Restrictions or being a vegan.

Speaker 8 (33:56):
Or their love lives or whatever the case may be,
either of theirs. You know, hopefully we'll see some policy discussion.

Speaker 4 (34:01):
There's an op ed in the in USA Today today
right now, it just got published about how taller Ico's
trying to invent himself as reinvent himself as a moderate
when he spent years trying to be on the far left.
That's going to be a hard sell to people in
the election come November. In a state that's basically center right,
taller Eco is going to have to convince people that

(34:23):
he did not run a meat free campaign for climate change,
that he is not on the record over and over
again voting to defund police or voting to support trans kids,
chemical castration drugs being reused as gender puberty blockers. Like
this is all stuff he's on the record supporting for years.

(34:44):
I got to think even a moderate wouldn't tolerate a
lot of that. Yeah, and he knows that, right, and
the campaign knows that. There's a reason he's like walking
this back.

Speaker 2 (34:52):
Now.

Speaker 8 (34:53):
We posted a few articles ago, we posted a video
that he had done. I forget which with which outlet
I think the CBS where he he walks back a
lot of these statements. He says that he has said
uff that he uh, maybe like you regrets saying or
that you know that he found it was cringey, right,
and then and then, and in one case he admits
that when he when he kind of described God as

(35:14):
non binary, he admits that he was he was saying
that to be provocative, which is which is like, if
you're if you're a man who in Tellerico, you know,
claims that he's a man of God and he practices
religion and all this, why are you saying, you know,
anti Christian or provocative Christian stuff like that.

Speaker 10 (35:31):
Uh, in your current you know, your current role or
what you do. It's just it's very absurd.

Speaker 8 (35:35):
And so, yeah, he's gonna struggle quite a lot with
moderates who who see and hear the stuff that he says,
and uh, or at least in the past.

Speaker 10 (35:46):
And uh, I don't, I don't. I don't think. I
don't think it's gonna help him at all, which is
why he's walking it back.

Speaker 3 (35:50):
My brother, you do. You're doing awesome work, Tony Ortiz.

Speaker 4 (35:54):
I know there's a lot of people that hate you
and don't invite you to cocktail parties in Austin, Texas,
but I don't get it.

Speaker 3 (35:59):
I don't invited to them either. If it makes you
feel any better.

Speaker 10 (36:03):
That does that.

Speaker 8 (36:04):
Does we know what goes on in those cocktail parties.
I don't want anything to do with just once.

Speaker 4 (36:08):
I'd like to enjoy a bacon wrap, shrimp and an
Apple teeny without having my butt slapped by a lawmaker. Yeah, same,
