It's a free dealer update, and you may qualify for
up to five hundred or even a thousand dollars rebate.
Our guest is Ike Dollardy is the account director for
pickups for Commings.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Ike, welcome to Late Night Help.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Thank you Mark for having me. I appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
So this is pretty exciting news, isn't it.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
Yes, this is a great opportunity for not only Commings,
but for the customer.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Right, so the customer.

Speaker 4 (00:55):
If you own a twenty thirteen to twenty eighteen RAM
twenty five hundred to thirty five hundred pickup truck, you
have a have an opportunity to earn five hundred and
two thousand dollars rebate plus an extended warranty.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
Wow, that's pretty amazing. Now is this an important recall?

Speaker 1 (01:15):
I mean, is this safety reason?

Speaker 2 (01:18):
It is an emissions recall, and so it is important.

Speaker 4 (01:23):
It's important for the environment, important for Cummings and important
for the consumer, and and it's it's really simple. It
takes less than an hour. It's just a software update,
so it's no parts are changed, and it's quick and
easy for the customer.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
Gosh, it's almost like you could do it on your phone.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
Huh, I wish we could do that.

Speaker 1 (01:47):
Mark, So what do truck owners need to do?

Speaker 4 (01:54):
So it's it's it's relatively simple. There's there's two two
paths a customer can go. You can visit Cummins recall
dot com and you can look up your vin your
vehicle identification number to see if it is applicable to.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
This this recall.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
Or they can go and call their local Chrysler, Dots,
Jeep Ram dealer and give them the VN and they
can look it up for them as well.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
We have a brand new one, well brand new one.
You've been here for I don't know thirty years. They
closed and then they reopened, so we have one here
in the Ventura County area. If people are listening for that.
You said it only takes an hour, which is pretty cool,

(02:47):
so that you drive in and basically drive out.

Speaker 4 (02:51):
Yeah, it's it's it's really quick, really simple. You could
schedule to get this done on your lunch break and
earn five hundred dollars pretty quick, or you can if
you do it between now and the end of March,
you can get up to one thousand dollars to get
this complete completed.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Wow, I know that. When I'm on location.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
One of my crew who brings lights and cameras and
all that stuff, he has I think he has two,
So I gotta let him know about this. Who's eligible
for this? Which trucks You've already mentioned them, but let's reiterate.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
Yes, it's model years twenty thirteen to twenty eighteen RAM
twenty five hundred thirty five hundred pickup trucks, and again
you can check to see if you own a truck
in that range. You can go to Cummins Recall dot
com and check to see if your vin is applicable

(03:56):
for this campaign.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
It's that simple.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
It's that simple.

Speaker 1 (04:03):
How does the extended warranty work?

Speaker 3 (04:05):
I mean, I know on my car, I've got you know,
there's three years yep.

Speaker 4 (04:11):
So once you great question mark, once you go in
and you get the recall completed, you will get an
incremental four year forty eight thousand mile warranty on those
emissions components on your truck, and so it's your vehicle
identification number gets registered and you have that coverage for

(04:33):
another four years forty eight thousand miles.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Even if you've got two years into the into the warranty.

Speaker 4 (04:45):
Yes, so it does take the greater amount of a warranty.
So you have a base warranty on your vehicle of
ten years, one hundred and twenty thousand miles. But let's
say you only have two years left of that warrant,
you will be able to take the longer duration, which
is the four years forty eight thousand miles, which is

(05:08):
incremental to what to the ten year one hundred could
be incremental to that ten year base warranty.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Hey, before we go, and.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
Let's let's find out about You're the account director for
pickups for Comings.

Speaker 1 (05:26):
But you have a big truck history, don't you.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
I do.

Speaker 4 (05:31):
I've been with Cummings for about seventeen eighteen years. I've
worked in this the pickup business on the with Cummings
for with Ram for about nine years. And so it's
it's something that it's a passion of mine. I love
the vehicle, I love the customer base. It's it's just

(05:53):
a unique opportunity here at Comings to.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Lead this business and be a part of it.

Speaker 3 (06:00):
And UH and and and another eighteen years at least
with Cummings.

Speaker 4 (06:06):
Yeah, I hope, I hope to have more more than
just eighteen. I hope they to be around much longer
in that.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
Yeah, that's that's really great. Let's find out where we
can go for more information.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
Again, I know we have Cummins Recall dot com. Is
that the easiest way to find out if your ven number,
your vehicle identification number UH is eligible for this upgrade
and for the extended warranty?

Speaker 4 (06:38):
Yes, that that is the easiest way to get all
the information and get all questions answered. But if for
some reason you can't access the website or don't have
access to internet, you can call your local Chrysler Dodge
g Ram dealer to see if you're eligible for this recall.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
By the way, UH, I just noticed that you played football.

Speaker 5 (07:04):
Collegiate football where I played football at Hillsdale College in Michigan.
In Michigan, got it, and then you went and you
got your Masters from Indiana University.

Speaker 3 (07:18):
That's pretty amazing. Listen, thank you very much. If you
want information on your car, on your RAM truck the
twenty five hundred to thirty five hundred, go to Cummings
Recall dot com. That's Comings recall dot com, or visit

(07:40):
your local Dodge dealer that deals with RAM trucks. Dougherty
has been our guest. He's the account director for pickups
Forcomings and we appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
Hey, thanks a lot man.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
