Speaker 1 (00:00):
We got a question her for American mamas. Do your
mamas do you think actors kissing movies is like cheating
with permission?

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Let's ask our American mamas.

Speaker 3 (00:09):
Mama, mama, and joining us now our American mama's Turnetteville
and Kimberly Burlison.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
That's a whole bunch of cheating going on. I mean,
that's there's a lot of kissing in a lot of
different films and stuff. What do y'all think?

Speaker 4 (00:33):
I think I saw recently somebody said that Richard Gear
that when he does a movie, yeah, and there's going
to be a kissing scene or sex scene or something,
he wants to first see who the actress is, to
see if that's who he'd want to be with in
real life. Yes, And I don't know if that's true
or not, but I did read that, but I was
completely repulsed by have a problem with that. Yeah, I'm

(00:54):
repulsed by it. But it made me think a think
about all the actors that have had affairs with their
leading man or they're leading lady in movies. Yeah, and
so I personally, yeah, I think that it's a lie.
I think actors and actresses are lying when they say, no,
it's just an art, it's just business. It's all business.
I think if there's a traction there, huh, it's not

(01:16):
a lie. It's like cheating without any kind of negative consequences.

Speaker 1 (01:20):
So I'm actually as a actor, I'm actually upset by
what you just said. Richard Gear said that if you're
an actor and you're saying I want to be attracted
to the person that I would be kissing, that's not acting, right,
that's not acting. Acting should be what the character wants,

(01:42):
not what the actor wants. That's I would, frankly, if
you are attracted to the person that you're doing the
kissing scene, I think you're gonna have to go a
wait a minute, I got a problem. I'm not acting
at this point.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Well, you know that George Clooney will not do anymore
really kissing or sex saying, and I'm sure that is
because his wife has said no, she's uncomfortable for her.
Kirk Cameron, he does not kissed anybody the blondheaded guy
from Neil Neil McDonald.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
MacDonald's So he's played a whole bunch of villains. Yeah,
he did get to be in a film. He has
made it clear he's not going to do uh scenes
where he does kissing scenes with anybody else. He says,
my lips only below to my wife. He did a
film finally where there was a kissing scene in it,
and it was because his wife played the person he
was kissing.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
So same with Kirk Cameron. His wife came at the
end of that fire. Yeah. Well, I did see something
recently where the uh An actor was having a sex
scene and the girlfriend was in the room, you know,
with the production in the production room, and once they

(02:54):
yelled cut, cut, cut, and they were under the covers
and the girl was on top and she kept going
and the other girl ran and jumped on the bed
to pull her, and they wouldn't stop. And I thought,
that's devastating. I mean, I was devastated for her. She
left crime and I thought that would be the end
of my marriage.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
Oh my gosh. I remember a story. I remember Alec
Baldwin telling this story or Ki Kim who is he
married to Kim? Yeah, singer. So they were married. She
had gone to bed and he was watching Nine and
a half Weeks. Do you remember that with Mickey? He
was watching nine and a half Weeks? She said he
went to bed after watching the movie and kicked her.

(03:35):
He got in bed with her and he kicked her,
and she woke up and she was like what And
he was mad about that movie. And I thought, you
know what, he's an actor that right there tells me,
tells me because they're both actors, so they know the business.

Speaker 2 (03:49):
So I'm like, yeah, I remember when halle Berry did
Monster Ball with Billy and those scenes were so explicit,
very much so that her husband had had a horrible
time with it, like just a terrible time, because I
mean it was it looked like they were like it

(04:10):
it looks so real, it looks so real. And so
after that, you know she's trying to be protective of him.
It's you know, it's just technical things. And he had
an affair and of course their mayors broke up. But
I see that happening a lot with the celebrities, Like
they know, like you just said, they know that those

(04:31):
emotions can come in. Like there's the girl that recently,
Oh there was an old uh an old Oh. I
can't remember the movie, but she's one of the most
Margot Robbie is in a movie recently with that real
tall guy looks like Chalamagne. Anyway, during the pressers, she
is like in the movie, it's you.

Speaker 4 (04:53):
Know, Wuthering Heights.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
Yeah, Wuthering Heights.

Speaker 4 (04:55):
They are in the movie.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
They're very much in love right. Well, when the movie
was over and they were doing all these press junkets,
it felt like they were in love. It felt like
that they were truly attracted, and she was looking at
him the way that a wife looks at her husband,
so incredibly it's crazy.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
Do you all remember Pure Country, the movie that George
Strait did. He did that movie Pure Country. Okay, so
he had in his contract that he wasn't it is
a love story, but he said, I'm not going to
kiss the other person. And so what's interesting is you
felt that love story throughout the whole movie, and the
very end when they're supposed to kiss, he just puts
his cowboy hat up and like they're behind it, so

(05:38):
the audience knows they're kissing. They weren't, but the audience
and I thought, that's all you need. We don't need
to see people go at it. It's gross. It's gross.
We don't need to see the other stuff either. It's
not necessary. They don't need to put it in there
if you like to ask her American mama's question.
