Speaker 1 (00:00):
We got a question for American Mamas. Dear Mamas, does
it give you hope that Ashley Judd and her stepdad
get along, even though they are so far apart politically? Well,
let's ask our American Mamas.

Speaker 2 (00:10):
And joining us now, our American Mamas, Terry Nedeville and
Kimberly Burleson.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
So Ashley Judd, uh, is the actress, um, So she's
very far to the left. She ran for Senate in
Tennessee as a Democrat. She's been at rallies denouncing Trump
and all this. Her stepdad is a Trump supporter. And

(00:45):
yet they live on the same farm in Tennessee. And
they were recently... You guys are showing me this video
where they were recently together and talking about their political differences.
I thought I'd play a clip from that. You guys
want to hear it? All right, here it is.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
The brother said... My sister had breast cancer and I
didn't even know because we broke up after the election
in 2016. That we have managed not only to escape,
but defy.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
Well, I've been determined that I was not going to
let political differences affect or separate me and you, or
me and you and my wife. I mean, the thought of...
Our political differences causing separation and changing our feelings for

(01:36):
each other is just absurd. My love for you and
Wynonna supersedes in Trump's, forgive my pun, in Trump's politics
all day long. I would never allow my political feelings

(01:56):
to change how I feel about this lady right here.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
I hadn't noticed when I watched the video, all the birds,
but you hear them.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
Oh, really?

Speaker 2 (02:07):
In the clip.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
You hear them in the clip.

Speaker 3 (02:09):
Oh, that's funny.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
But anyway, so what do you guys think about that conversation?

Speaker 3 (02:15):
I love it.

Speaker 5 (02:16):
I love that conversation, too. It's like Terry said, it
was a breath of fresh air because we have been
so divided. And to see someone, she's far left. She's
far left. She's far left. And he's MAGA. So to
see them sitting on the porch and talking about their
love for each other and that nothing will hurt that
relationship to me. It made me follow her. It made

(02:38):
me like her more so because I thought she is
loony boony. But this made me happy because it gave
me hope for some members of our own family, you know,
because I would like to come back with a couple
of people that we lost during all of this.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
COVID lockdowns and stuff.

Speaker 5 (02:53):
Yes. And so it shows.

Speaker 6 (02:55):
Lost as in separated.

Speaker 5 (02:57):
They're not gone. No, they're not gone. But we've, you know,
we've stopped talking, basically broke up. And so it shows
these two people who are so far from each other
stay together is the way we should all be operating.
We should not separate from each other because of political beliefs.
We should talk, have conversations, or not talk about certain things,

(03:19):
but stay together.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
But this is an interesting conversation in and of itself because...
You have had leftist articles, news articles, telling people how
to avoid their family at Thanksgiving, how to write off
your MAGA. The left is writing how-to articles of how
to break up with your own family. You're not seeing
that on Fox News. Fox News, here's how to avoid

(03:42):
all your Democrat family members for now on.

Speaker 6 (03:44):
And why? Why would they push that? Why would they
push to divide our country? You know, this is how
it was before COVID. before the escalator ride down, honestly.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (03:56):
Nobody knew what anybody, who they voted for, what they
believed politically speaking. Nobody cared. You enjoyed each other's company.
You enjoyed those things that you had in common. You
enjoyed knowing about their families. The political aspect of this
came in. And I'm telling you what, I now believe
the media has been the right hand of evil in

(04:19):
all of this. Because like you just said, They promote division.
They promote the bad of one side against the other.
It is so sad to me because the people that
I know and love who are Democrats, I know and
love them. And I have a friend in my mind
that did defriend me because I was sad over Charlie Kirk.

(04:42):
And when I tell you we were dear friends, I
still consider her a friend. But I'm telling you this.
If she needed me today, we haven't talked in years,
if she needed me today, I would be right there.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Yeah, I think that's... That's the way it's supposed to be.
That's the way it's supposed to be. But one of
the things is that for the left, they need government
to be your daddy.

Speaker 4 (05:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
That if you are still in a strong connection with
all of the members of your family, why do you
need government? If your family is your safety net, then
you don't need the government safety net of socialism.

Speaker 6 (05:18):
What's so crazy is these same people that feel that
way were the hippies of the 70s who wanted to
stick it to the man. Now they are the man,
like Bernie Sanders. It is an upside-down world.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
It really is.

Speaker 6 (05:30):
I want us to get back to being one big
family like it used to be.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
So you're going to go watch some Ashley Judd movies?

Speaker 5 (05:35):
Yes, I will.

Speaker 4 (05:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (05:38):
I can't think of one, but I'm.

Speaker 6 (05:39):
Sure there's several great ones. I just love the fact
how you can just feel the love between them and
the conversation that was so needed. I hope everybody watches it.

Speaker 1 (05:48):
