December 1, 2025 34 mins
I recorded this episode just days before the Democrats agreed to end the 2025 government shutdown. I genuinely believe that the Democrats prolonged the shutdown until after the 2025 elections in an attempt to regain as many seats as possible. In this podcast, I pose several questions for supporters of the left to consider. As an independent, I appreciate having sensible discussions about the current state of affairs in the U.S. Let's talk about it!

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hi, everyone, This is a quick update to the podcast
that you're getting ready to listen to. I recorded this
podcast just literally days before the Dems decided to make
this agreement to end the government shutdown. I thought about
re recording this podcast, but I felt like, honestly, I

(00:20):
should go ahead and share it because I made so
many points that I felt like was valuable and reasonable
to those who may be thinking the same thing that
I'm thinking. And also I had a few questions for
those who are deciding to I guess you could say
vote Democrats, support Democrat, whatever the case may be. So

(00:42):
I wanted to go ahead and upload this podcast anyway,
so for you guys listening in, you may hear some
things that I say that's a little bit outdated, but
not too much. And then also I referred to the
midterm I would like and noted that the midterm elections

(01:03):
are not happening until I believe twenty twenty six, but
we did have some elections here in twenty twenty five,
and I do believe, just in my personal two sets
of an opinion, that the Democrats held out on signing
to end the government shutdown because they wanted to win
as many seats as possible, and they wanted to make
sure that you felt like this government shut down was

(01:25):
all Trump's fault. Hey, it's a game being played on
all fronts. I'm not saying I'm here for it, but
this is just my viewpoint on it off. But I
wanted to share this podcast with you guys. I hope
that you enjoy and you get something valuable out of it,
or should I even say relatable enjoy. Hi, everyone, welcome

(01:48):
back to another episode of Motivation Zone. It is your host,
Harmonica Maiz. Super excited to be here with you guys.
We are going to dive into once again discussing politics.
That's a huge conversation right now with this government shut
down continuing on around about forty days now, which is
a lot now. We just had the midterm elections. I

(02:12):
just posted another podcast here titled The Government shut Down
twenty twenty five, and truthfully, what I really want to
dive into is about how we're doing elections these days.
What is the point? Why do you get up and vote?
And the biggest question that I have for those of

(02:33):
you who support the Democratic Party is are you simply
going to vote based on Trump hate? We're going to
play a little game of questions because and I call
it twenty one questions. I thought about the fifty cents
on twenty one questions when I was really thinking about
some things. I wanted to ask you, guys, because I
want us to have a critical thinking moment. I feel

(02:57):
like not enough content creators are asking you, guys to
think about where you stand in your life currently as
an American each individual, What are you really thinking about personally?
If I can motivate you, guys, this is motivation zone,
after all, is to come outside of thinking like everyone

(03:19):
else and really evaluate your own experiences. And I've said this,
I'm sure in other podcasts because I just believe in it.
It's something that I myself has done. But we really
have to get healthy about how we're moving forward and
why we are voting. That is the truth. So for me,

(03:40):
it's no secret I voted for President Trump, and I
stand by my vote. That is who I voted for,
and I have so many reasons. And as I said
in my podcast that I recently reallyas titled the Government
shut Down twenty twenty five, I stated that I would
have voted for Trump simply based on the fact that

(04:01):
he was running his campaign off of declaring that there
were only two genders, male and female. Just based on
that alone, he had my vote because I felt like
it was worth that, and I followed all of the
stories of the young girls and the women dropping out
of sports because there were men who were identifying as

(04:24):
women competing against them, which is a hot mess. I
hated that, and I couldn't imagine wanting to do something
that I love to do and felt like I couldn't
because there was an impostor who we know does not

(04:45):
line up with that gender role and the sport is
set aside for women. Okay, this is not about being
a feminist, but it's just about the way things should be,
especially with young girls. Protecting young women, and we should
protect young boys as well. But we don't have women
dressing up like men too much taking over and dominating

(05:08):
a man. It's just not heard of, and it's not
heard of in the opposite of a woman identifying as
a man either. This is why this is such a
huge conversation, because the men who are identifying as women
are dominating and not in a good way, you guys.
So for me, just on that alone, I was like,

(05:30):
he has my vote because Kamala was not saying that.
Kamala really during the election cycle wasn't saying much at all,
only talking about Trump being a fascist or a dictator
or whatever else that they could call him at the time.
But hating Trump is not going to help progress America.

(05:53):
We actually do need a plan, that is the truth.
We need a plan, We need someone who actually doing something.
So twenty twenty five, when Trump was sworn into office,
one of the first things he did was declared that
there were only two sex, male female, two genders. That's it, okay,

(06:15):
So I was happy about that. But then move forward,
he did a lot of other things that he said
he was going to do, and that was important for
us who voted for him. So my first question for
those of you who support the Democratic Party is do
you live in a democratic city? And if you live

(06:36):
in a Democratic city, do you feel safe in your city?
Then my next question would be to you guys, is
do you feel like there is a low or high
tolerance of crime? Because what's happening right now is the
Democrats are saying defund the police. They don't want you

(06:56):
arresting criminals, they don't want ice going after migrants who
have come into this country, who really are fugitives of
their own country. Did we not know that this was
a real thing? Do you guys remember when those men,
what was it a few months ago, escaped from a
prison in New Orleans? I do believe if I'm saying

(07:18):
that correctly. Do you guys remember that? And I wanna
say it was quite a few of them who escaped. Right, So,
a little by little law enfor enforcement, we're getting out
and capturing those men and putting them back in prison.
The million dollar question is who's gonna do that? If
law enforcement is not available and not funded to do that.

(07:39):
Who's gonna help with crime? If there is no law enforcement?
Now what I will say, because I try to keep
a healthy balance and not get into any type of delusion,
because no one is above becoming delusional. I just really
don't want that for myself. I will say the way
that ICE agents are handled migrants is not good. I

(08:04):
will say that even before they began to be attacked,
that it was not good the treatment. But that is
not all ICE agents, if we're gonna be honest, and
that's not in all cities either. So we need to
bring a balance to that, and yes, I do feel
like ice agents need to be more professional. They need

(08:25):
to be able to do their job. But when they
do their job, they need to not be as forceful
or harmful to anybody. Go ahead, make the arrest and
let's go. I do understand that argument. But at the
same time, attacking ice agents is not going to help
that situation either. Once again we learn this as children too.

(08:49):
Wrongs does not make it right. So then the question
here is do you support defunding the police? Is that
something that you support? Because the Democratic Party is pretty
much all about that, that's their talking point, right And
then who will you call if the police were defunded?

(09:15):
Who will you call for help? These are things we
need to really think about when we are taking sides
with people just because they hate someone. What are they
going to put in the place of law enforcement if
there isn't any law enforcement. These are healthy questions and

(09:35):
critical thinking questions that we should ask. Then the next
thing here, speaking of migrants, do you have a passport?
Have you ever left the country? And if you have,
were you able to cross over to any other country
without the proper paperwork such as your passport or your visa?

(10:00):
This is another thing. And I know you guys listening
in who have heard this argument from conservatives, you know
where I'm about to go with this because it is true,
and I know you guys are gonna be like you
guys say that all the time, you conservatives of always
saying this. But the reason we keep repeating ourselves is

(10:21):
because just because you don't want to hear it doesn't
mean it changes the facts. We as Americans cannot leave
this country without the proper paperwork. We have to go
through checks, customs, all of that and make sure that
we have the proper documentation to go into any country,

(10:41):
which brings me to my next point that I want
you guys to think critically about. So there are a
lot of protests in the street with things that was
going on in Israel. There are situations going on with Ukraine,
and people are upset because Trump was implementing tariffs on

(11:02):
certain countries, and he even went his tariffs were high
with some countries, but that was because he wanted them
to come to the table and negotiate, or to stop
handling their business with the US the way they were,
or to make sure that they come into the country
and get their migrants and bring them back home. There

(11:24):
were a lot of reasons why these terroriffs was being implemented,
but one of the biggest things that come to me
as someone who's a critical thinker, is how Americans are
so quick to protest for countries who have dictatorships, who
have situations where their laws have to be applied to

(11:47):
everyone across the board. There is usually only one leader,
and you cannot talk about any of these governments in
any of these other countries without having an issue. And
so I'm very shocked that we will stand up so
much and go blow for blow with our own with

(12:10):
countries who have set forth a law and plan to
run that country in a way that the Democrats are
yelling they don't want Trump to run the US. I mean,
it wrecks my brain thinking about it, because it's very
true that Americans are standing up and fighting, not necessarily

(12:35):
for the dictators, not necessarily for countries with bad laws
per se. Maybe it's standing up for the people and
that's the way they see it. But a lot of
these people have pride for their countries and they don't
mind following rules and laws. I don't mind following rules
and laws when they make sense personally, and I'm kind

(12:57):
of tired of America being so split between two parties.
It's annoying. We need to get together and be of
one mind and say this is what we're for, this
is what we're not, this is what we're gonna do,
this is what we're not gonna do. We need to
be on one accord. But it amazes me how Democrats

(13:19):
keep saying they don't want to support a dictator, but
they do it all the time. Is my point? Supporting
countries who really have I guess you can say very
tight laws, very tight doue processes, and Americans can't just
go anywhere in any of these countries and do whatever

(13:40):
we want. That's the truth. And if it's not the truth,
you guys can let me know. I have a link
in a description where you can leave me a comment.
Remember to keep it comments classy and professional, because that's
all we do over here. This is a friendly conversation
to nudge you guys into thinking more about why we

(14:01):
are voting the way we do. Now. Am I saying
that you guys should just go on and vote for
a Republican No, I'm not saying that, but the Democrats
that you guys are voting for. It's a little it's
a little scary. In my opinion, it really is a
little scary some of the things that these people represent,

(14:22):
and they're only being voted for due to people hating
President Trump. That's a hot mess. Speaking of which, another
question for you guys. Have you bullied or wish death
on any Trump supporters? The reason why this is a
question for me is because I'm amazed at how many

(14:43):
Democrat supporters I see wishing death or celebrating the death
of someone who actively and is known for voting for Trump.
And what in my mind, the next question would be,
what makes anybody who acts this way or thinks like

(15:03):
this any better than Donald Trump? If Trump is a fascist,
if he's a dictator, if he's not a good person.
What makes someone who bullies people and wish death upon
Trump supporters? What makes them any different? These are the
questions I have you guys, We need to critically think

(15:24):
about this. My next question is has any conservative or
Trump's supporter wish death on you or bullied you in
any way? Because I say bully when it comes down
to me personally, and I know several people who are

(15:44):
constantly ending up in arguments because those who support the
Democratic Party or voted for Kamala think they're better and
literally are bullying Trump supporters and making Trump supporters feel
like crap. And I'm sitting here like, is that dictatorship?
Are you dictating who we should be voting for? Are

(16:06):
you trying to bully me into changing my mind after
I've personally considered my vote and considered it in a
way that was very important, because not one time personally.
Are you guys gonna comb through my podcast and find
a I hate Kamala post? You're not. I can tell

(16:27):
you all the things I don't like about Kamala and
the idea of her being my president. That's fair, I'm serious.
I listened to all of her debates, I listened to
her rallies, and it was tough. It was like chewing
a well done over cook steak tough. It really was.

(16:51):
And that's my point is when it comes down to
who I voted for, I can speak on it with
clarity without going into hate for the other person. I
can tell you why I voted for Donald Trump, and
I can tell you all the things that I agreed
upon that he said that he would do without going
into hate of Kamala Harris. Can you who support Democrats,

(17:16):
can you guys do the same? Can you tell any
of us why you vote the way you do without
going Trump but Trump but Trump? Can you do that?
It's a huge question. I'm just asking. I want critical
thinking you guys. This is something else I'm telling you.

(17:40):
So I'm looking over my next questions here and I
really want to go into this. This is another huge
thing that I'm thinking about when I consider where we
are politically, and that is the smear campaign that was
against President Trump during his presidential run and once especially

(18:02):
that everyone knew that he was gonna run again. The
biggest question that I have is currently, as the government
is shut down, we have to think about this. Are
the Democrats holding out from voting to get things back
on track when it comes down to opening up our
government because they have bashed Trump so much that they

(18:25):
cannot allow him to have a win. Is that a
possible scenario. I have listened to many of the arguments
and talking points as far as keeping the government closed,
and I want you guys to check out my last
podcast prior to this one being posted, and I'm telling you.
I go into the clean cr bill that the Republicans

(18:47):
were willing to pass to keep the government open. That
meant that they would not change anything about the budget currently.
It would have kept all the benefits going out, all
that great stuff, but the Democrats voted against it over
and over again and still are which is the reason
why the government still shut down. And it was very
interesting to me that after the mid term elections, I

(19:11):
want to say, not even two or three days later,
all of a sudden the judge rules that these snap
benefits must go out, which I thought was a very
timely and convenient thing that all of a sudden after
the mid term elections, that this was a ruling that
was made. Holding out on Americans getting the things we

(19:35):
need is a huge talking point for the Democratic Party
because they need the votes. How would you vote for
them if they allowed Trump to do everything that he
said he was going to do and you, as an
American benefited from it, then that would leave them with
what to really say that they're going to do. That

(19:56):
is another huge problem that I feel like we have
with having a split political party. I just I feel
like that is going to keep us in a lot
of trouble because these politicians are egotistical, they're not for America,
and when it comes down to it, they just don't

(20:17):
want to let him win. They don't want President Trump
to have any wins because that is a talking point
against them and why they did or didn't do the
things that they should have been doing when Biden was
in office. It's interesting. Another question that I have for
you guys when it comes down to the Democratic Party

(20:40):
being in office is how did you feel when Obama
was leaving the office? Did you feel like President Obama
left the country in a great position, Because and I'm
asking you guys this, because Obama served eight years. That

(21:00):
eight years was followed by four years of President Trump.
Then President Trump's four years was followed by four years
of Biden, and now Trump is back in office again.
So I want you guys to critically consider how you
felt when Obama was leaving the office, if you felt

(21:24):
like the country was ran well, because that is another
great way to judge whether or not you really support
anything that Trump is doing. If you truly believe that
he ruined the country. That means that you felt like
when Obama left office that things were great and things

(21:47):
were running smoothly, and then when Trump got in office,
then those things changed and things became worse. So I
can understand that viewpoint if that's your viewpoint, But the
question is, is that your viewpoint? How did Obama leave
the office? Did he leave it in great standing? That

(22:10):
is something to really consider. The next question I have
for you, guys, is do you believe that the economy
would have thrived if continued under the leadership of Biden
or Kamala. Now Kamala is on her book tour, her
one hundred and seven days, and I'm just like a

(22:32):
crazy book title would have been how I blew my
campaign budget within one hundred and seven days? Because she did.
She went and spent over budget. Someone who cannot balance
a budget for running a campaign in one hundred and
seven days, I highly doubt would be able to run

(22:53):
the country and budget and manage and make healthy decisions
regarding the finances of the country. And as a matter
of fact, the way that they were going, the things
that Kamala was saying and not having a plan in
her one hundred and seven days to produce to the
American people, and I'm telling you, guys, I think they
finally got something up on her website. What I want

(23:15):
to say, it was less than thirty days prior to
the election, so she had been running for a while
and still had nothing she was running on. And then
of course all of her interviews were soft blows, like
you know, is there anything that you would change from
what Biden has done? And what do you think about
the border? And did she goes? She's never been to

(23:37):
the border, which is crazy. How were you vice president
and you haven't been to the border in four years?
That's nuts. And I think she finally went one time
and it was just a quick photo op and she
was out. So I really want to know if you
guys really think that Kamala because she was the one

(23:58):
running for or should I say, running against Trump in
the end, do you guys really believe that she would
do great with the economy? Yeah, I just don't. I
don't see it. I really don't see it. Then the

(24:18):
next thing that I have for you guys, another question
is do you only repeat political information from the news.
That's another huge conversation because I get into talking points
with people constantly when it comes down to politics, and
I'm never really talking off what I've heard in the news,

(24:40):
and I also try to get on Google or whatever
search engine, chatgy top wherever and start researching history facts,
start researching some of the things that have really happened
in the country, like with terrors. For an example, I
dived into Taror's recently and saw that the tear tariffs

(25:00):
that Trump has implemented on these countries have brought in
a significant amount of income from just having those terrorts
in place, and that income is in the billions. So
I've asked people recently when it comes down to arguing
whether Trump should implement terrors or not, where is the

(25:23):
money and the finance is going to come from to
support the things that the Democrats want to support When
it comes down to immigration and free health care for migrants,
That's one of the biggest things on the table when
it comes down to these snap benefits, when it comes
down to social security in any way that they want
to do things, Who's going to support it getting done.

(25:45):
If we're not implementing any tariffs on these countries, if
they're doing plenty of business with US as far as
bringing things, importing things in, how are we as a
country going to gain without only leaning on the American people,
and personally I have in many, many years fell overworked, underpaid,

(26:08):
and overtaxed. That's been throughout many administrations because every single
time the Democrats have an idea, in my opinion, that
they're going to implement something or give something for free,
or allow migrants to come into the country, their biggest
suggestion on how to deal with that financially is to

(26:34):
go in and tax the American people more. That's their solution.
Let's tax the American people more. Let's just get more
from them. We need the money, Let's get more from them.
What Trump is saying is with these tariffs and getting
these things into the getting these countries to bring in

(26:54):
income will lower the demand and the need and the
weight from the American people to have to be taxed
so much to take care of the budget that we
have here and the debt that we have here. We
are in debt, and a lot of these countries around
US are thriving because they're dealing with real currency less debt.

(27:17):
And when you go over and do business in these
other countries, you're usually having true cash transactions and not
just a credit transaction. Americans us over here, we have
so much credit, debt and other countries. When you go there,
usually they're saying, hey, if you don't have the funds

(27:39):
to do this, if you don't have the funds to
open a business, if you don't have the funds to
buy land or homes, or whatever the case may be.
Because a lot of these countries you can't buy land.
But whatever it is that you can go in and
invest in in those countries, if you don't already have
that capital, then there is no there's no doing that deal.

(28:00):
And that's a great thing. It would be a lot
harder for US Americans to operate like that because we're
in so much debt and we're taxed so much that
when it comes down to the cost of living, most
of us are grabbing those credit cards to swipe it.
What if they said no credit, that would be crazy.
We would be struggling even more, and then we would

(28:21):
really need government programs, which there is a place for
government programs. I do believe in them personally as a conservative,
as someone who is an independent thinker, I do believe
that there are people who need a push and a
help and a leg up. But I do also believe
that there is a time where those things need to expire,
because there should be a moment in time where you're

(28:43):
able to walk on your own. You shouldn't have to
rely on these things your whole entire life, not unless
you are someone who may be going through a disability
or once again, someone who may be retired, whatever the
case may be. That's different. But not standing on your
own eventually after getting some type of assistance, It's not

(29:06):
a good look for us here in America. It's just not.
And another question here that I have for you guys,
is do you believe that the party that you support
has the best plan for America? So, once again that
goes back to what's the plan that your political party have.
What are they putting out before the people with the

(29:29):
Democrats right now? Is it beyond Trump hate? Is there
really solutions being offered, really good solutions that we're saying yes, yes,
we want to vote on that. Is that really something
that's happening right now? These are things to consider and
why should we consider them, everybody? Because we want to

(29:52):
get to a place where we are voting policy, where
we are voting in laws that are going to be
good for the country long term. And then sometimes we
have to do some short term solutions depending on what
the goal is. So then the next question is what
is the goal for America? Where do we want to be?

(30:13):
And this is a personal question too for ourselves, where
do you want to be in a year, two years,
five years, ten years. We always have people talking about
a ten year plan. To me, a ten year plan
has always been a little bit difficult as an individual
because I'm like, what where am I going to be
in ten years? I might change my mind on where
I want to be in ten years, you know, But

(30:35):
I think having a yearly plan is very healthy for individuals.
Should I say that's just my personal opinion. You can
have whatever plan, however far out, that you desire. But
for America as a country overall, there are certain things
that we need to put out there in place that
does carry this country on into a position above poverty,

(30:59):
a position above of debt, a position that is in
security and our country secure, a position where we have
low crime. There are countries out here right now that
have very low crime, and one of the biggest rules
across those countries is you can't carry weapons, and you
can't do this and that, and you can't carry guns

(31:19):
all of these things. Am I saying that's what we
need to do. No, But I have, as someone who
does carry, I have felt very eerie about this because
everybody can carry, Criminals can carry. As long as they
haven't committed a crime prior, they can carry. And we're

(31:39):
having so much violence because of that. And so I
know that the Democrats have argue taken away guns. I'm
not opposed to taking away guns personally. That's one thing
I can agree on, because if no one has them,
no problem. But no one should carry them unless it's
law enforcement. And then even in that, yes, law enforcement,

(32:04):
when it comes down to behavioral analysis, they need to
be evaluated constantly. When it comes down to care and
a weapon they do. I don't know how lax these
people are getting in law enforcement when it comes down
to using lethal force. I don't know what those conversations are.
But we need to manage that truth. But we do

(32:24):
not need to defund the police overall, because that's just
crazy and we need our law enforcement. That's just where
I am. So these are the questions that I have
for you, guys. I hope that this has nuzzed your
thinking for today and that you go into critical thinking

(32:44):
about why you're casting your votes the way you do.
And I also would, I guess you can say, really
ask you guys to listen to Donald Trump. If you
guys do not listen to him currently, pull up some
talking points that he has, pull up some of the

(33:05):
things that he really wants to do. Go to white
House dot gov. Look this stuff up for yourself, read
through it, and ask yourself, is this something that you
can support as far as a plan for this country
or not? That is the best thing to do here
in these situations. And that's my thoughts you guys and listen.
If you have any comments about this podcast, you want

(33:27):
to share your thoughts with me, please click the link
in the description. I'll be happy to hear from you.
I would love to hear your comments and your thoughts
on what's going on with the current political climate. And
remember quick reminder, keep your comments classic and professional, because
that's all we do over here. And I will continue
to listen out for what's going on in politics and

(33:47):
bring you my thoughts on the current things that's going on.
I do hope that you guys have found my commentary
