Nacido en 1936, Joss Naylor era pastor en Wasdale, dentro del icónico Lake District meca de los corredores de montaña británicos. A pesar de sufrir graves lesiones y operaciones de joven, incluyendo una seria lesión de columna, Joss llevó el fell running a un nuevo nivel y se convirtió en el fellrunner más legendario de toda la historia británica.
El propio Kilian Jornet y el periódicoThe Guardian estuvieron entre los actores más significados que le rindieron homenaje con motivo de su muerte en Junio 2024.
