Speaker 1 (00:15):
Blessings and teach to you.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
This is as your favorite thinking podcasts and my name
is as your favorite.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
How are you doing today?

Speaker 2 (00:26):
It is Tuesday, January sixth, two thousand and twenty six.
Another wonderful day and another day to be thankful. And
as I always say, if you focus on what is good,
then you can project something good to happen. When you
focus on what is good in the midst of everything

(00:48):
that's happening in the news and in the midst of
all kinds of things happening every single day, we still
can think positivity and we still cans on what's good.
To have the right attitude, to have the right mindset,
because it's important, Yes, it is important. If you would

(01:09):
like to give to the podcast, you can give at
cash Shap down Side sp favor or you can give
at Vemo at sp favor. Thank you for your support
and your donations to the podcast. If you are out
there traveling about today, make sure you pray, make sure
you stay focused, and make sure you are not on
your cell phone too much in the public. Why because

(01:32):
you should be paying attention. Because if you are on
your cell phone too much in the public, that means
you are distracted, So make sure you pay attention and
stay focused.

Speaker 1 (01:44):
And make sure you pray well.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
I do have an inspirational quote for you today, and
I'm going to give you a few tips. According to
the inspirational quote, the inspirational quote is the right mindset
doesn't check change your situation. It changes your relationship with
your situation, and that changes everything. Oh, I love that quote.

(02:14):
I'm gonna I'm gonna read it again. The right mindset
doesn't change your situation, it's changes It changes your relationship
with your situation, and that changes everything. The right mindset
doesn't change your situation, It changes your relationship with your situation,

(02:35):
and that changes everything. That quote said a whole lot
h The right mindset can help you navigate through situations.
It can help you to respond differently, as as the
quote stated, it can.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
It changes your relationship with the situation.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
So as you go through anything in life, it's how
you think first that makes the difference, and having the
right mindset, having your mindset on navigating through the situation correctly,
it changes your relationship with the situation, and that changes everything.

(03:20):
Having the right mindset every single day is very important.
Sometimes we may be hindered. Something can get in the
way of having the right mindset, but you can stay
on track. If you get off track, you can't get
back on track. What is the right mindset?

Speaker 1 (03:43):
The right mindset is a mind.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
That is focused on doing what is necessary in the moment,
because a mindset that is distracted and filled with noise,
and a mindset that is not paying attention. That type
of mindset, in my opinion, is a mindset that is
constantly being dragged.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
And what do I mean by being dragged? Means it
means you are just.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Wandering around with no concrete direction to get anything done.
A person that is constantly distracted or filled with distractions,
they are not focused on the things that are necessary
to do. So the right mindset is very important. This

(04:34):
is the sixth day of the new year, and the
right mindset.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
Is very important.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
And it's important because it's going to help us to
do what we need to do. Be where we need
to be, respond the way we need to respond, and most.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Importantly, think the way we need to think.

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Because just as we take care of our outward appearance,
we need to take care of our inward parts, which
is our heart and.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
Our mind and our spirit.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
We need to take care of ourselves, So maintaining a
good mindset is very important. And what should you do
to maintain a good mindset? Number one, Focus on response.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
And not reaction.

Speaker 2 (05:35):
You can't always control events, but you can always choose
your response.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
You have an opportunity to choose.

Speaker 2 (05:47):
You can choose how to respond to every situation. I
always tell myself that because in some hard times in
my life, I had to literally tell myself stay focused
and don't respond the wrong way according to what is
not beneficial. I would tell myself that, So focus on response,

(06:13):
not reaction. You can't always control events, but you can
always choose. You can always choose your response. Number two,
Replace why me? With what can I learn? I talked
about this a little bit yesterday. I mentioned that when

(06:35):
we go through something, we need to take every lesson
from our experiences to be better. To focus on everything
that makes you better, and everything that you go through,
focus on what makes you better.

Speaker 1 (06:50):
So replace why me with what can I learn? This shifts.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
Turns obstacles into opportunit unities for growth. So when you
shift the why mean to what can I learn? You
will turn obstacles into opportunities for growth. It's so important
every single day when we wake up to start your

(07:22):
day with the right mindset.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
I'm talking a little fast again. I gotta slow down.

Speaker 2 (07:32):
It's important to start the day with the right mindset
because if you start the day with the wrong mindset,
that means you just created.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
A problem for yourself. Even if you have something you
have to deal with, you still.

Speaker 2 (07:48):
Can have the right mindset if you have something serious
you have to deal with, because when you keep and
maintain the right mindset, you will stay in the position
of having the advantage. So keep the right mindset. I
had to tell myself that so many times. And you know,

(08:10):
for those that listen to the podcast frequently, you know,
my mom passed in twenty twenty one, and I always
talk about that time in my life because I learned
so much, and in twenty twenty one, I have to
tell myself over and over again, please stay focused, Stay focused,
stay focused, keep the right mindset. Stay focused on the

(08:30):
things that help you and not the things that hurt you.
Because when you stay focused, you will allow yourself to
function at a higher level because you get to choose.
You don't have to choose to function at a lower level.
And what do I mean by a higher level and

(08:52):
lower level. I'm talking about walking in power versus no power.
When you decide to walk in power, that means you
take control, you stay focused, and you decide the things.

Speaker 1 (09:04):
That are necessary for you to be the best you.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
When you don't walk in power, that means a person
that does that functions like that.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
They just do anything any kind of way, and we
should never do that. Number three, speak.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
Possibility into your challenges. The words you use will shape
the way you think and the way you feel. I
talked about that yesterday as well. So speak possibilities and
to your challenges, because the words you use will shape

(09:38):
the way you think and feel. Everything that comes out
of your mouth can shape a situation.

Speaker 1 (09:46):
That's why it's important for us to speak life.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
We should not speak according to the norms so to speak,
because when you speak like that, you're basically just not
stay in focused to bring light and power to your situation.
You're just saying whatever other people may say when you
follow norms like that. So be different and speak life

(10:13):
more and speak possibility into your challenges. Number four practice
deali gratitude. We cannot forget about gratitude in twenty twenty six.
Even for small things, always practice gratitude. Don't look at
situations that are not good and use it as an

(10:36):
opportunity to complain. Find the good in everything, and remember
to practice gratitude. Gratitude trains your mind to notice progress,
not just problems.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
So practice deaali gratitude.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
Even for small things, because when you pray this gratitude
for small things, it will help you to focus more
on more positive things. Number five, limit exposure to negativity.

Speaker 1 (11:16):
That's right.

Speaker 2 (11:16):
Protect your mental space. Like you protect your physical health
if you If you protect your physical health, protect your
mental space. I started laughing because I felt myself about
to raise my voice a little bit. I get a
little passionate sometimes about these things. So limit exposure to negativity.

(11:43):
Protect your mental space because it's important. Self care is important,
and everything that you expose yourself to, you are basically
choosing to care for yourself.

Speaker 1 (11:57):
Or not careful for yourself.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
So limit exposure to negativity. Try to stay in a
positive space as much as possible. I'm not talking about
being perfect, but I'm talking about just being mindful so
that you can become saturated with the things that make
you better.

Speaker 1 (12:19):
We have to do it.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
We have to choose to focus on the things that
make us better, and we have to choose to simply
desire and want to be better. For those of us
that are working on ourselves, we have to do that.
Celebrate number six. Celebrate effort, not just outcomes.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
This is good.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
Celebrate effort, not just outcomes, because every time you try,
you are building. That's right, you are adding something to
the results of the thing that you are seeking. So
celebrate the effort and not just the outcomes. Because we're

(13:05):
talking about maintaining the right mindset.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
I told you I am.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
Going to talk about the right mindset a whole lot
the month of January because this is the first month
of the year, and this is the first week of
the year.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
So having the right mindset is important.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
So celebrate effort, not just outcomes, because consistency builds confidence
faster than perfection. It's important to be consistent, and it
is to be it is important to be excuse me, confident, Yes,
it is important to be confident. I always tell my

(13:57):
students that, for those of you that don't know, I
teach English, so I always tell my students you have
to be confident because how you feel about yourself will
affect how you.

Speaker 1 (14:10):
Speak, So you have to be confident.

Speaker 2 (14:13):
Number seven, surround yourself with growth oriented people. Now, when
you surround yourself with growth oriented people, you will position
yourself to be saturated with a lot of positivity and

(14:34):
you will position yourself to receive nourishment for your spirit
in your mind when you surround yourself with growth minded people.
Because if you compare growth minded people or growth oriented
people compare to people that are that are not seeking

(15:00):
growth in any area of their life, is two different worlds.
And again I'm not talking about trying to be perfect.
I'm talking about doing the work and simply seeking to
be better better when it comes to how you treat

(15:20):
people better when it comes to your mindset, just doing
the work, caring for yourself inwardly, just as you would
care for yourself hourly. So surround yourself with growth oriented
people a mindset, it can be contagious, it can be

(15:49):
so you have to choose your environment wisely. If you
are around somebody that is very negative, you can become
more negative. So you have to choose your environment wisely.
Because if you choose your environment wisely, then that is

(16:11):
another type of self care because this topic is about
maintaining a good mindset. We have to be focused every day.
A person that is working on their body and they

(16:32):
go to the gym all the time, that type of
person is practicing discipline and they are focused and they
are and they are also focused on achieving their goal.

(16:52):
So maintaining a good mindset is the same thing. When
you desire to focus on the things that make you
better and when you desire to do the things that
make you better. It's a discipline. It doesn't mean that

(17:14):
we should look at other people's faults and put them
down and speak negative about others because they're not doing
what you're doing. But it is important to stay focused
on the goal of simply maintenancing your threat life and
doing everything you need to do for you to simply
be better. Other people have to choose their own path

(17:36):
and their own journey according to what they want to
work on. And if a person is not in agreement
with you, then you still can encourage them, but don't
put them down and don't judge them, because.

Speaker 1 (17:54):
We all can do the work. But sometimes people just aren't.

Speaker 2 (17:58):
Motivated, but you are motivated, So just keep encouraging others.
And they will get there. Because a good mindset can
be contagious. When you speak positive and you help others
to be influenced by what it's positive you can y

(18:21):
y you, you will help them.

Speaker 1 (18:25):
Number eight, Detach your worth from external results.

Speaker 2 (18:37):
Detached excuse me, detach your worth from external results. Your
value is constant even when circumstances changed. So detach your
worth from external results. Because your value is constant even

(19:00):
when circumstances changed. You are important, and when circumstances change,
it does not mean that you have failed. When it's
something negative, it does not mean that you won't be
able to accomplish your goal. Remember, you have great value.

(19:26):
So detach your worth from external results because a setback
or something not being in your favorite does not define you.
Because in the process of trying, you will get to
where you're going and the goal that you are trying

(19:46):
to accomplish it will happen for you. So detach your
worth from external results because your value is constant even
when circumstances change. Number nine, Visualize the person you are becoming.

(20:11):
Act today in alignment with that future version of yourself.
Act today in alignment with that future version of yourself.
Visualize the person you are becoming. As you do that,

(20:35):
you will start to fill and manifest.

Speaker 1 (20:43):
Your future.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
Because anything that we will ever be, we have to
choose to walk in it down and it starts with
a good mindset. It starts with maintenancing your mindset. It
starts with allowed showing yourself the opportunity to experience something
different and better as you choose to think well. Because

(21:10):
everything starts with the mind. Everything that you will ever do,
every decision that you will ever make, it starts with
what you think.

Speaker 1 (21:21):
Excuse me Number ten, choose.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
Discipline over motivation because motivation fades. A mindset is built
through consistent action. As you go through your day and
you're focused on what makes you better, you will then

(21:50):
start to choose the things that make you better. You
will become more part of every day of what makes
you better. So remember, mindset is everything. The right mindset
is everything because when you focus on what's good and

(22:14):
you keep the right perspective about what is necessary for
you and what is not necessary for you.

Speaker 1 (22:22):
You will keep the right mindset.

Speaker 2 (22:25):
We can't choose everything for others, and we can't make
others do what we do, but we can influence and
encourage them. Because the right mindset doesn't change your situation,
it changes your relationship with the situation, and that changes everything.

(22:45):
Having the right mindset and the right relationship with situations
helps us to have a better response because we get
to choose how to respond. We also get to choose
if we want to get rid of what we don't

(23:09):
need or.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
Keep something we don't need.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
When I say keep, I'm talking about thinking about something
over and over and over and over again. You don't
have to focus on the negative things. You don't have
to focus on your past. You don't have to focus
on the things that degrade you or steal from you.
You can focus on what makes you better. And as

(23:32):
you focus on what makes you better, you will encourage
and influence others.

Speaker 1 (23:41):
So on that note, I wanna remind you also.

Kingdom of Fraud

Kingdom of Fraud

It’s the unlikeliest of criminal partnerships: a devout polygamist from an insular Utah sect joining forces with a shadowy Armenian tycoon from LA. The result - a billion dollar fraud conspiracy. In Kingdom of Fraud, investigative reporter Michele McPhee traces the origins of the extraordinary alliance between Jacob Kingston and Levon Termendzhyan. Together, the two men trigger the largest tax investigation in American history and weave around themselves a web of dirty cops, influential political relationships and transnational money laundering. All this is set against the backdrop of Jacob Kingston’s clan – The Order. A powerful and secretive polygamist organization in Salt Lake City. To whom Jacob is desperate to prove his worth.
