I am a spiritual person, but I have to say
that because many people think that they can just go
through life without a relationship with God. You need God,
that's right, and I know some of us have had
some negative experiences when it comes to religion, and some
(02:07):
of us have doubts and different things that we deal
with when it comes to relating to God. But you
can take a different step to just know and learn
about who He is and his love because God loves
(02:27):
you and we need him, We need him. I have
to say that I have to say that this is
not a religious podcast. This is an inspirational podcast. But
I have to say that I have to say that

(04:17):
the title of this episode is Answering the Call to Courage.
How to overcome fear, build confidence, and live boldly every
day Answering the Call to Courage. It's very important to
make sure that you are not living your days worried
(04:38):
or fearful about anything. And the reason why I say
that is because, as I stated a couple of days ago,
there is a lot going on in the country here
in America, and we don't have to be afraid. You
can take on a mindset of courage, and how do
you take on a mindset of curR You take on
(05:01):
the mind side of courage according to how you think
and what you focus on. And if you're feeling stuck
like you can't focus on something else, that means you
need to feed your mind the things that it needs
when it comes to being more positive, being more inspired,
and simply being more focused. It's important. Just like you
(05:28):
drink water and you make sure you are not thirsty,
and just like you drink war. Excuse me, just like
you eat food so that you are not hungry, you
nourish your body. So you have to feed your mind
(05:49):
and feed your spirit the same way. Feed your mind
and your spirit the things that will build you up
so that you can have resilience, so you can have
a transformed mindset, so that you can develop more personal growth,
so that you can have unshakable confidence, so that you
(06:11):
don't have to walk in fear. You don't have to
walk in fear. Sometimes people think about things that are
not even real and they stir up fear. Ask yourself
the question, why do you think like that. You don't
have to if you are a focused person and if
(06:33):
you are doing what you need to do to care
for yourself properly every single day the right way, you
will not entertain fearful thoughts. Your mind is precious. When
you take care of it the right way, you will
(06:56):
continually be an asset. It's important to take care of
your mind. Many of us, all of us, most of us.
We take care of our hair, we take care of
our skin. I said, most of us. Well, that's real too,
(07:18):
most of us, because everybody don't do certain things. But
as I say that, you take care of your scared
you take care of your hair. You take care of
yourself outwardly, So take care of yourself inwardly. And taking
care of yourself inwardly has everything to do with how
(07:39):
you think. I told you earlier in the week I
was going and even last week I told you I
was going to keep talking about the mindset because this
is the first month of the year and we have
to set the foundation for the things that we need
to do. This episode is about a mindset of courage,
(08:02):
answering the call to courage, how to overcome fear, build confidence,
and live boldly every day. We all have choices, and
we don't have to choose the things that make us worse.
We don't. We can choose what makes us better every
(08:26):
single day. We can choose to be more brave, We
can choose to be more confident. We can choose to develop.
When we recognize our faults and problems, we can choose
to overcome. We don't have to walk into things that
(08:47):
make us worse. We can become better. So, as I
said it, there's a lot going on in America. I
know it's a lot going on all over the world,
but particularly here in America. There's a lot going on.
And I wanna say to you, if you live in
America and wherever you live across the world, if you
(09:08):
are aware of what is going on in your state
or city or country, please know you do not have
to be afraid. You don't have to live a life
feel with worthy and doubt and fear. You can live
a life filled with peace. You have to choose it.
(09:33):
You have to maintenance you have thought life. You have
to do that, and you do that. S excuse me,
there was some noise, background noise. You have to maintenance
your thought life and you do that by what you
expose yourself to. You have to expose yourself to the
(09:58):
things that make you better. You have to nourish your mind,
nourish your spirit, and care for yourself every single day.
So what does it take to walk and courage a
courageous mindset? What does it take to do that? How
(10:19):
do we or how can we walk encourage every day?
What does it mean to walk en courage or courageous?
What does it mean to have a courageous mindset? A
courageous mindset is one is a person that focuses on
(10:41):
all the things that will not allow them to be
subject to fear. Even if you get a fearful thought,
you are able to shift your mind to a thought
of courage. Because all of us have felt fear as
one point of another or another, and we feel fear
(11:03):
sometimes whatever, It's part of our human experience. But what
I'm saying is you don't have to be subject to it.
You don't have to take on a mindset of fear.
Just because you feel some fear, that doesn't mean you
have to be subject to it. You know, recently, I
was by myself at home, and all of a sudden,
(11:23):
a fearful thought came to my mind, and I shifted
my thoughts quickly because I told myself. I'm not gonna
focus on something so horrible, something bad happening. Why should
I focus on something bad happening? So in that moment,
I prayed and I just shift my mind to something
else because I'm not gonna just sit and think the
(11:46):
worst things. So why is it important to have a
courageous mindset? A courageous mindset positions you to be brave,
and a courageous mindset positions you also to do things
you wouldn't normally do. A courageous mindset also helps you
(12:11):
to be stronger, not just stronger for you, but stronger
for someone else. Mhm. And what does the call to
courage really mean in personal growth? The call to courage
is the inner awareness that changes are necessary. Excuse me.
(12:34):
The call to courage is the inner awareness to know
that change is necessary. Excuse me. I'm talking fast today.
I am a human and I love it. So when
I make a mistake, guess what, I can still be
(12:54):
confident and keep moving right. And you gotta do the
same thing. So the call to courage is to know
and have an inner awareness to know when change is needed.
It's not about fearlessness. It's about choosing growth despite fear.
(13:17):
Courage begins when you decide not to remain stuck and
instead step toward healing, improvement, and purpose. We all gotta growth,
and growth starts with how you think every single day.
Your mind can become a powerful asset. It is an asset.
(13:43):
But your mind can't be an asset if you're walking
around with trashy thinking. Your mind can't be an asset
if you are walking around with stinking thinking every day.
That's what I call it, stinking thinking. Know, when I
was training myself to think well, I used to tell
(14:03):
myself no more stinking thinking. Stinking thinking, the wrong type
of thinking has an older It does because if you
think that if you think the wrong thing, then you
will say the wrong thing and then you will definitely
act the wrong way. So it's stinking thinking. It's not
anything refreshing about thinking negative and worry and fear and
(14:28):
doubt and low self esteem and hate and all that disgusting,
sewage like stuff. There's nothing good about that. So the
call to courage and having a courageous mindset starts with
how you think and knowing that when it's time to
(14:50):
take on a mindset or courage, you can do it.
In a moment's time. By choosing to think that way,
you have to develop inner awareness to change what is
needed so that you can choose growth and not fear,
(15:11):
and so that you can walk in healing, improvement and
purpose every single day. I am not talking about being perfect.
I'm talking about what is possible. How do you overcome
fear and self doubt in your daily life? How do
(15:32):
you overcome? You overcome again according to how you think.
Fear often comes from uncertainty, past failures, or negative self talk.
Courage grows when you challenge limiting beliefs, take small boat steps,
(15:55):
and replace doubt with truth based thinking and positive affirmations.
If you if you're one of those people and you
like to use positive affirmations and you like to write
things down and speak it out loud, do that too,
because you can overcome fear and self doubt in your
(16:22):
daily life. Because we are all called to this moment
with courage, we have to walk in courage. It's important.
The connection between courage, confidence and success is this confidence
is built through courageous action because every brave step, every
(16:48):
brave step, excuse me, strengthens self trust and success becomes
possible when Courage turns intention into movement. You don't gain
confidence without taking action. Can't you gain it through action?
(17:15):
I have to tell myself to slow down because sometimes
I talk really fast, and I noticed that, just like
I tell my students, if you slow down, you will
give yourself space to say what you need to say.
And I practice that, and I also teach that in
the public speaking lessons that I give. It is important
(17:37):
to have self control when you speak. But anyway, we're
not talking about that today. We are talking about the
call to courage. Why is courage essential for leadership and influence?
If you are a leader of your home, men, if women, parents, managers, directors, CEOs,
(18:03):
if you are a leader, a person of influence, remember,
leaders must speak truth, take responsibility, and make difficult decisions
with courage. We have to be examples of courage for
those of us that are leaders, because somebody is always
(18:26):
paying attention to you, somebody is always listening to you.
You are a person of influence, so you have to
make sure that you are being a leader of courage,
someone that is influencing others to walking courage. Even if
you are under pressure or going through something that's uncomfortable,
(18:50):
you can still walk in courage. Again, it's about how
you think, because if you are making this in your
mind every single day, and if you are caring for yourself,
and if you are doing the things to make sure
that you are an asset and not a liability, walking courage.
(19:13):
Make sure you feed yourself the things that are necessary
so that you can be influenced and stir up courage.
It's important. And how do you or would you take
bold actions when you may feel uneasy or unready with courage?
(19:40):
How do you do that because none of us sometimes
never feel fully prepared for certain things. Right, Again, it
starts with how you think. Because growth happens in motion.
Courage means acting before certainty arrives, trusting that clarity comes
(20:06):
after this step, not before it. So courage is never
about the feeling in the moment. The courage is solely
about the thought in the moment and the action you take.
And that is why we have to walk in courage,
because again, this is solely about how you care for
(20:27):
your through life. You have to constantly remember that you
are valuable and how you think can determine everything. I
don't care what's going on in your life. I don't
care where you live or what country you're in and
(20:49):
how you were raised. We all have one thing in common.
We all have a mind, and we all have a will,
and we get to choose how to think. And so
you can choose how to think. You don't have to
(21:09):
be subject to just thinking negative about everything, regardless of
how you were raising, regardless of what you've been exposed to.
You don't have to be subject to constant negative thinking.
It's something that you can get rid of by developing
(21:35):
new habits every single day, changing how to changing how
to think, changing how to think according to what you
practice every day as you live your life, being more
conscientious of how you think. It's important. Healing requires us
(21:57):
to make maintain healthy thinking. If you if you're one
of those people and you meditate and you are focused
on certain types of goals, and if you are if
you have a goal of of doing something you've never
(22:19):
done or being afraid of doing something, healing requires positive thinking.
Healing requires acknowledging how you feel, but changing how you
think basically, and it also requires honesty because even when
(22:41):
you're honest and if something is uncomfortable, you still can
project the positive to overcome the negative. You can acknowledge
how you feel, but you can project the positive or
the negative and your discomfort. Because courage is what allows
(23:03):
people to confront pain and release the past and move
forward emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Because we are all called
to walk and courage and courage starts with a changed mindset,
(23:25):
practicing new habits every day, maintenancing our thought life so
that we can think more healthy. Courage also builds mental
strength and resilience because each brave decision strengthens emotional endurance
(23:49):
over time. Courage trains will train your mind to respond
to challenges with perseverance. Instead of panic, you can just
be confident that's right, instead of panicking to Instead of
panicking when there's a challeng excuse me, you can just
(24:14):
be confident, that's right. We all are called to walk
in courage. I'm gonna keep saying it because I want
you to remember this. When you walk in courage, it
starts with how you think, not a feeling. It starts
(24:35):
with how you think and the action you take after
the thought. So stay focused, be courageous according to how
you think. You have to be courageous because it is important.
(25:00):
And if you are a believer in God. You you are,
you have a man date to be courageous. Now. If
you are not a believer and you're just you know,
developing to believe in God, okay, But if you are
a believer in God, come on now, you have to
(25:22):
be courageous. Being courageous is beneficial for you. So take courage.
Walk in it every single day. Walk in it knowing
it is beneficial. It's beneficial because walking in fear is paralyzing.
(25:50):
And with everything that's happening right now, as I stated,
we are all called to walk in courage. Simple Deli
habits to develop emotional courage is important. Simple Deai habits
to develop emotional courage is important. Things like journaling, setting boundaries, prayer, meditation,
(26:21):
positive affirmations. I mentioned that earlier. All of those things
can reshape your self belief and it can also strengthen
your bravery over time. I always say, do the work.
Do the work now, so that when something happens, you
are prepared. It's important to give ourselves more value by
(26:49):
exposing ourselves to the things that give us value. To
give yourself more value by exposing yourself to things that
give you more value. Answering the call to courage also
unlocks your purpose in life, because purpose is revealed through movement,
(27:12):
not comfort. Courage lines your actions with your calling and
open doors to impact and fulfillment for a great legacy.
Because again I gotta keep seeing it. We are all
called to walk in courage. We are not called to
(27:36):
walk in fear. We are called to walk in courage.
And courage starts with how you think. It starts with
every thought you agree with. Now, if you get a
negative thought and you don't agree with it, just rejected.
If you get a negative thought, you shouldn't agree with us,
(27:57):
should say, don't agree with the negative thought. Take courage.
And you can take courage by simply maintaining the thoughts
that are beneficial for you to be a better you.
You don't have to be subject to constant negative thinking
(28:25):
because the more you focus on what is beneficial for
you to be a better you, you will be more
empowering every single day. It's all up to you. Everything
starts with how you think. You don't have to be
subject to what is less, be subject to what is more.
(28:48):
