Speaker 1 (00:19):
Blessings and peace to you. This is s be Favorite
Thinking podcast and my name is as favorite. How are
you doing today? It is Wednesday, February twenty fifth, two
thousand twenty six, another wonderful day and another day to
be thankful. And as I always say, if you focus

(00:42):
on what is good, then you can project something good
to happen. That's right. You have to focus on the
things that benefit you, focus on the things that are
more edifying, because if you focus on the negative things,
that will not help you. So you have to focus

(01:05):
on what is good today, all right, you gotta do it.
You may not even feel like you want to focus
on what it's good, but you have to do it
for your own good. Okay, So focus on what is
good today to project something good to happen. If you're

(01:26):
out there traveling about today, make sure you are focused
and not distracted by being on yourself on too much
in the public because if you are looking down, paying
attention to your phone more than the environment, that means
you are distracted. You don't want to be distracted. You
want to be focused because you should be paying attention

(01:47):
to what is going on around you because there is
a lot going on. We need to pray, We need
to be focused. So don't be distracted by being on
your phone too much in the public, okay, keep yourself
safe and keep your family member safe. I always remind
you of these things because I simply care, all right.

I see sbi z one dot com. All right, moving
right alone. The title of this episode is why believing
in something greater transforms your life. I'm gonna repeat that again,

(04:32):
Why believing in something greater transforms your life? Believing in
something greater than yourself gives life a deeper meaning, a
stronger direction, and a lasting purpose. We all want to

(04:54):
know why we are here. We all want to know
what is the purpose of life. There are many people
that are searching for that answer. We all want to
know what we should believe, Who should we believe in.
People have a lot of questions and unfortunately, sometimes people

(05:15):
have answers and sometimes they don't have answers. But believing
in something greater for me personally, I believe that it's
a simple act of believing in God. That's what I

(05:36):
believe in because when you believe in something greater. You
don't look at this world. You don't look at this
world to have all the answers, because this world doesn't
have all the answers. The only one that has all
the answers is God. And I know some people argue

(06:00):
and debate when it comes to spiritual and religious principles,
but think about it like this. We all need one
thing to be the best we can be, and that
one thing is love. And God is love. And that's
a simple principle. And that's what I believe. So when

(06:21):
we believe, or when we decide to believe and something
greater for a transformed life, we simply believe and God
and the love of God and the power according to

(06:43):
what love can do. Yes, because believing in something greater again,
it gives a deeper meaning in life, a stronger direction,
and a lasting purpose. You will understand your higher calling,

(07:05):
your personal values, and the mission to serve others more
when you leave when you excuse me, when you believe,
when you believe in something greater or something better, h

(07:28):
having a belief in something beyond your immediate circumstance builds
resilience and confidence and long term success. When you look
at a situation and circumstance, you have to look at
it through a lens of knowing it's only temporarily. It's

(07:55):
not a state or a situation that's going to simply
just though forever. Let's look at the word for Let's
think about the word for ever. So believing and something
greater gives you a simple hope. It gives you a

(08:17):
hope that all things are subject to change. Because if
you are focused on conditions and what is happening in
the world and what is happening in the news, if
you're focused on that stuff too much, it will have
you stressed out. This week, I was thinking about all

(08:43):
the stuff that's going on in America and stuff that
was going on in Mexico. And let me tell you,
I had to remind myself to focus on something greater,
and the greater is simply God. To focus on something greater,
someone greater, something greater, to focus on what is hopeful.

(09:07):
I had to tell myself that not to become stressful,
because if we focus on situations in circumstances constantly, day
after day, it won't benefit us. Yes, we can work

(09:28):
to solve problems and we can work to serve others
and make situations in circumstances better for others. But we
also have to make sure that we align ourselves with
what is better and greater, and what is better and

(09:51):
greater every single day that we live is God. And
when I say that, I'm not taking from a religious
context because I'm not a religious person. I'm a spiritual person.
I believe that we all have a spirit which is good,
and that good spirit is connected to God. Now, what

(10:13):
you decide to do with your free will, that's your
decision based upon what influence you decide to allow to
control your life. So when you yield to a more
positive and a more good influence, I believe that the
love of God, the power God, influences our lives. But

(10:37):
if we yield to a negative and evil and dark influence,
then guess what then that will influence a person's life.
So we get to choose every day what we want
to believe in, what we want to be influenced by. Right,

(11:02):
So it's important to simply believe in something greater and
something better every single day because if you do that,
you can be informed, You can see things for what
they are. But then you can also know that all

(11:23):
things are subject to change because we have to have
resilience and we have to endure when it comes to
living this life. We have to pace ourselves every single
day to improve our mindsets, to have emotional stability, to

(11:49):
fuel motivation. We have to have discipline, to have clarity,
and to make decisions. We have to position ourselves for
spiritual growth and development, because if you are breathing, you

(12:11):
should be working on yourself. All of us have to
do the work every single day because living this life
it's no joke. And I know I sound a little
sober right now, like a little serious. That's because I am.

(12:31):
There's a lot going on in America, and I don't
want to talk about the news, but I can say
that it's important for us to be reminded of what's
good versus being reminded of what is bad constantly. You
can be informed, but bad news should not be your focus.

(12:56):
Every single day. You have the ability to believe in
something greater and something better, and you have the ability
to stay hopeful. You have the ability to function by
faith according to what you believe. Every single day that

(13:21):
you live. You get to choose what you want to
believe in, what you can be influenced by You get
to choose that, nobody chooses that for you. So believing
in something greater is vitally important for us to be

(13:45):
the best that we can be every single day of
our life, because when we decide to believe in something
greater and better, then we take on a different reception,
We take on a different mindset, attitude, we take on
a different approach to do things better and different. Believing

(14:13):
in something greater and something better every single day it
has to be foundational for everything that we do because
when we believe in something greater and better, it gives
us a standard. It gives us something to look forward to,

(14:39):
right in the middle of challenges, right in the middle
of situations that could be really difficult. When you have
faith and when you believe in something greater and better,
it will empower you in that very moment because belief

(15:02):
is not weakness, it is power with direction. So when
you have faith, you are activating something from within to
be displayed for someone else to learn something greater as well.

(15:22):
Believing in something greater provides life direction because belief gives
clarity about where you're going, what you're doing, and what
you need to do. Believing in something better creates purpose
because you can live with intentions and not confusion. The

(15:50):
world is filled with confusion. Sadly when you look at
leadership and governments that have billions and billions and billions
of dollars but decide not to feed a hungry widow
or not. They try to do things or they do

(16:13):
things I should say that are not necessary. They don't
help the poor, they don't help people that live in poverty,
they don't help people that really want to do better

(16:33):
for themselves. Billions and billions of dollars for everything else
except for the right thing. To me, that's a person
that's operating, or that's a leader or leadership that is
operating in a type of confusion because it doesn't make

(16:54):
sense to spend money where it's not needed. This is
not a political podcast. It's about inspiring others to think
differently and better. But I have to mention some things

(17:16):
sometimes just to make my point, because when you really
think about it, there's enough resources in this entire world,
money and resources to feed every single person that is alive.
Think about that for a second. If a man decides

(17:39):
to be an island to himself and hoard up money
for himself, and he has enough money to feed millions,
but instead he takes that money and he holds that
money up for himself. What does that make that person?
That person is a poor man spiritually, he's not rich

(18:02):
because a rich man will feed the poor. A divine
rich person feeds the poor, helps the homeless. And that
person believes in something greater and better. But a person
that has billions of dollars in the bank but doesn't

(18:23):
help the poor doesn't help anyone that lives in poverty.
A person that has billions and millions of dollars in
the bank and doesn't help anyone. They don't believe for
something greater and better, because if they did, they would
be more quick to serve others better. If they believe

(18:47):
in something greater and better. They believe in something for
themselves something, but they don't believe in something greater and
better for no one else. How can anyone look at

(19:10):
children across the world, hungry or sad and not want
to do anything for them? Why? Because that person has
no belief system for something greater or better. M HM.

(19:34):
So believing in something greater and better also develops long
term vision. It develops long term vision, not just for
you and your family, but it develops long term vision

(19:55):
to serve communities, nation, people all over the world. That
is the vision of God. Our gifts are talents, our
abilities to believe in something greater and better. It is
to contribute to humanity, not just to ourselves and our family.

(20:26):
But it's solely about believing and something greater and better
for everyone. But sadly people don't think like that because
people think about themselves and their family, their family and
what they have to do for themselves first, and then

(20:50):
they say things like, oh, well they have to work
just as hard as we worked. Of course, yes, we
all have to work hard. But what if God blessed
you with resources and strength and good health and a
great ability so that you could serve that person that

(21:11):
just need needs an opportunity. What if God blessed you
to believe in something greater and better so that you
could be the example for someone else. Think about that
for a second. Everything that we have access to and
everything that we have the ability to do that is

(21:35):
good is it is solely about being able to help
someone else. God never intended for men to make billions
and millions and millions of dollars to just put it
in the bank, to say I got a billion dollars.
God didn't create well for that purpose. That is called

(22:01):
fake wealth when a person cannot serve the disadvantage people
or people that have disadvantages in life. When a person
says that they are wealthy and they have all this money,
but they can't give and they can't donate and they

(22:22):
can't support other people, guess what are they really wealthy?
Spiritually No, they are spiritually poor because they don't have
the vision to believe for something greater and better. It's
about themselves. As I stated this, it's not a political podcast,

(22:50):
but I have to express some things according to how
I see it. When I watch the news and I
listen to what's going on in society across the world
and across the nation, it brings tears to my eyes
for people to sit up on sit up on the

(23:13):
screen and talk about how much money they have. They're
sending money all over the world for other people to
make more money, but they don't help the poor, they
don't help the elderly. So my point is this, we

(23:39):
all have the ability to help and make the next
person's life better. When you believe in something greater or better,
you don't think about just yourself. But when you believe
in something greater and better, you have the ability to

(24:03):
think of others. Yes, because when you believe in something
greater and better, you have the ability to give hope
to others during the time of uncertainty. Yes, believing in

(24:24):
something greater and better reduces fear of failure as well.
When your foundation is bigger than temporary setbacks, fear loses power. Again.
I'm gonna say that again. When your foundation is bigger
than temporary setbacks, fear loses its power because you are

(24:50):
focused and you believe in something greater and better. When
you're focused on believe even and something greater and better,
your confidence will start to grow. Your courage also, your
confidence and your courage will start to grow. So excuse me,

(25:14):
So building courage and growing and confidence, all of that's
all of that is it starts to increase because faith
is something greater empowers you to take bold action every

(25:42):
single day. I did not want to cough, and so
I held it back. Oh boy, But as I stated,
it's important every single day you live to believe, to

(26:09):
believe in something greater and better. Your emotional stability can
be balanced during stressful situations when you believe in something
greater and better. You know, when I watch the news

(26:35):
and I listen to all the stuff that's going on,
I sometimes I just take a moment to pray, and
after I pray, I just can't help but think about
how so many problems are easy to solve, the problems

(27:00):
that we have around the world. Some things are easy
to solve, not all. Some things are really easy to
solve because when you think about it, when you have
resources and you have money to do something, that's the answer.

(27:21):
You know. For an example, when I see people on
the news and they say things like, oh, well, we
can't pay for our medical bills, there should not be
one person on the earth that can't pay for their

(27:42):
medical bills. Because there are billionaires and millionaires around the world,
and money being the answer to some things. Leaders have

(28:07):
to take account for that. Not appropriating what is necessary
where it's supposed to be. Leaders have to take account
for that. And again this is not a political podcast,
but I have to say these things because if that leader,

(28:29):
that person believes in something greater or better, why aren't
they doing something for people? That really have needs. Well,
I'm going to leave that alone. But remember, we all
have to believe in something greater and better every single

(28:51):
day because when we do that, we position ourselves also
to create what is call or a legacy mindset. A
legacy mindset or legacy thinking helps you to focus on
long term impact influence, and it helps you to do

(29:13):
things thinking more about others in the future because you
are believing in something greater and better. When you care
about people, when you when you genuinely care about other
people and you and you genuinely desire to serve and

(29:37):
help other people, no matter how big or small you
serve or give, whether it's your time or your money,
no matter what it is, is the fact that you've
done something. That's what matters. When you give your time,
you are helping someone. When you give your money, you

(30:00):
are helping someone. When you donate whatever it is you
donate to charity, you are making a difference. Faith without
works is dead, just as the body is dead without
the spirit. So when you activate your faith, that means
you are doing something because of what you believe. And

(30:22):
when you believe in something greater and better, you will
do something for someone else. Every single day of your life.
It doesn't always have to be money. But if God
has blessed you with wealth, if he has blessed you

(30:46):
to have more than enough, that means He has granted
and blessed you with his sovereign power to have what
you have so that you can serve and help to
restore somebody else when you believe for something greater and better.

(31:06):
We are not supposed to take what we have and
just think of, Oh, this is for my family, this
is for this is for my family, this is for
my children. There's nothing wrong with, of course, doing things
in order to think of your family first. But what
I am saying is this, on a greater scale, there

(31:29):
are people that have all the money that you could
possibly think of, and they help no one. Think about
that for a second. And I know wherever you are
listening to this podcast, what country, whatever city, state, wherever

(31:53):
you are, just think about the leadership of your country,
think about what they're doing for the people. And then
after you think about the leadership of your country, think
about the leadership in your community and think about what
they're doing for the people. The leadership in your state,
the leadership in your family, think about what they are

(32:15):
doing for other people, and ask yourself the question, what
are you doing for other people? When it comes to
believing for something greater and better, when you see other
people serving others and helping others to be restored, when

(32:36):
you see other people helping other people to prosper, to
be educated, that's when you know that person believes for
something greater and better. Because faith is an action word,
it takes action for it to be activated. Faith is

(33:01):
not just something you believe and it's dead. When you
have faith in God, and when you have faith in
someone or you have faith, that means you are activating
something to change for the better. So believing in something

(33:21):
greater and better has everything to do with what you say,
what you think, and what you do. Not just for yours.
When I say yours, i'm talking about your family, but
I'm talking about for humanity. This life that we have

(33:47):
is about the service that we provide for others. God
has allowed you to see this day to be something
for someone else. So I hope that what I have

(34:08):
said made you think about something, because that's what's on
my mind today. I want people to understand, excuse me,
the power of impacting and influencing others when they believe
for something greater and better. A person that is wealthy

(34:33):
with a lot of resources and money, if you don't
see them helping the poor, the homeless, the widows, sick children,
if you don't see that person giving, and if you
don't see that person serving the greatest, serving the greatest
people serving. The question we have to ask is this,

(35:00):
are they do they really believe for something greater and
better or they just want to look like they believe
for something greater and better. Because a person that is
really rich and spirit naturally and spiritually is a person
that serves the poor. A person that sits around and

(35:22):
says they have all kinds of money, but you don't
ever hear them or see them doing anything to help
the poor, to send people or poor children to college.
If you never see that person doing anything, they don't
believe for anything greater and better. They just believe for

(35:42):
something for themselves. A man that has billions and billions
of dollars sitting in the bank but doesn't even think
about a child and you that is in the cold
at night with no food. What kind of person is that?

(36:08):
What kind of a person is that? Okay, I'm gonna leave
that alone. I thank you so much for listening to
as your favorite Thinking podcast. As I stated, i was
watching the news last night and today, and I'm just
grieved about a few things that I have seen in

(36:30):
the news when it comes to the leaders around the world,
including the leaders here in the US. It's sad. But again,
I want you to keep the hope. I want you
to keep the hope that all things are subject to
change and all things are possible with God. I want

(36:50):
you to keep the hope and knowing that when you
pray there is power being released. I also want you
to keep the hope and God that all things are
subject to change. So keep the faith, keep believing, and
thank you again for listening to SB Favorite Thinking Podcasts.
