because it's a wonderful day and I am thankful to
just be present. This week has been good so far.
Thank you God, and I am really really thankful for

(03:48):
all that God has allowed me to have and have
access to. I'm just really thankful this morning, and so
I hope that you are at the because gratitude is
better than complaining. We all could complain very easily, but

(04:12):
we got to look at what's going well instead of
the things that are not going well, because that there
are excuse me, there are a lot of things going
on in the world and we don't have to always
focus on it. We can focus on the more positive
things so that we can just simply feel better. And
whatever it is we can't control, we just simply need

(04:34):
to pray about it. So stay focused on what's important today.
Even when you watch the news and you hear about
something that is not good, just pray and keep your
focus and try to live the best life you can
live because this world is it's a lot going on,

(04:57):
and so but we're not gonna talk about that. We're
going to talk about what is positive today as always,
and so the title of this episode is Embracing the process.
Embracing the process for a long term success and personal growth.

(05:18):
Embracing the process for a long term success and personal growth.
We all have gone through highs and lose through life,
and sometimes we go through things because it requires us
to grow. We all are required to grow personally, mentally, spiritually.

(05:42):
We grow naturally, right, we grow from being toddlers to
young children, to young adults to being an adult. We
grow naturally. So just as we grow naturally, we should
also grow mentally and spiritually. And so in order to grow,
there's a process that comes with that. And that process

(06:04):
has everything to do with how you think and what
you do and the approach that you have in the process. Now,
there are different types of processes, right. We can talk
about mechanical processes, industrial processes, but we're not talking about that.
We're talking about personal growth processes. Right, So a personal

(06:29):
growth process sometimes.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Does not feel good.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
I personally have gone through Lord Jesus, many types, many
types of personal growth processes, and some of them were
very painful. Yes, they were very very painful. And you know,
as I was going through different processes, I realized, if

(06:54):
I learned the lesson in the process, the process can
be a little easier. So I had to embrace the process.
So I wanted to talk about this topic today because
I was thinking about this topic earlier in the week.
I was talking to one of my students and I

(07:14):
was saying to her that, you know, in order to
achieve your goal, whatever your goals are, you have to
embrace the process on the way to completing the goal.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Because if you.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
Think that your goal can just happen overnight, like a
microwave cooking food, that's not going to happen. Metaphorically, that's
not going to happen.

Speaker 2 (07:44):
Right. We can click a.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
Button and warm up our food, and we can sometimes
make things happen very quickly, but when it comes to
growth and development, we cannot microwave that. We have to
go through the processes mentally, spiritually, naturally in order to

(08:05):
become what we are destined to become according to what
is good. So a growth process sometimes does not feel good.
Now I'm not saying that all growth processes don't feel good.
What I am saying is that when you go through something,

(08:29):
sometimes if it's difficult, you must gravitate to learn something
in the midst of what you're going through. Because if
you go if you go through something and you're just
complaining all the way through it and you're just not
paying attention to the lesson.

Speaker 2 (08:50):
And you're just going through the motion and you're.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
Not getting any wisdom or any knowledge about what you
are going through, then that means that you are not growing.
And then in that case, you will have to go
through the same thing over again because you didn't learn.
And so that is why it is important to embrace
the process of whatever it is you're going through. It

(09:15):
could be a relationship problem, It could be a marital problem.
It can be a relationship in terms of your boss
on your job just getting on your nerve. It could
be something as simple as your children acting crazy. Right,
So it could be anything that you're going through. Look

(09:36):
at it as a process of personal development and growth.
Don't look at situations and circ circumstances and thing excuse
me and think that certain things are happening just because
they are happening. No That is not how life works.
We are supposed to learn through everything that we go through,

(10:02):
and I know we all are guilty of sometimes not
paying attention. Many of us have gone through different things
in life, and ten years passed by, five years pass by,
and then we get it right once we realize, oh,
I messed up five years ago. Five years have gone by,

(10:24):
and you realize you messed up in a particular area. Well,
what I am saying to you is this, whatever it
is that you may be going through right now, in
this very moment, no matter what it is, embrace the
process so that things can get better, no matter what.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
It is.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
If something is going on in your life, it doesn't
matter how big or small it is, look at the
situation and learn something about yourself. Learn something about the
pattern of it, Learn something about the people that are involved.
Learn something so that you can be equipped with the

(11:11):
knowledge and the understanding, so that as you develop and
go through that process, you will come out on the
other side a changed, transformed person with power. Because that's
what the process is for the process is not for

(11:31):
you to just suffer right on through and end up
empty at the end. No, it's not for that. The
process the problem. Whatever it is you're going through, it
is an opportunity for you to simply be a better
you on the other side of it. In my life personally,

(11:53):
when I go through different things, I always see myself
on the other side of the problem already resolved. That's
how I look at problems. I see myself on the
other side with the problem already being resolved. And I

(12:13):
do that by maintaining a certain mindset so that I
can have the motivation to stay focused. And I do
it so that I can have the motivation to be
inspired to grow even when it does not feel good.

(12:34):
I tell myself to look at the other side. Excuse
me of the problem already being resolved. So I project
the result before the result is manifested, and I do
that according to my mindset. I do not look at

(12:54):
a problem and just focus on the problem and tell myself.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
Oh, I know what I'm gonna do. Oh just look
at this problem. This is really bad. Oh just look
at the problem.

Speaker 1 (13:06):
No, I don't do that. I see the problem as
already being resolved and the process to get to the
other side. I embrace it. So I'm saying to you,
embrace the process for long term success and personal growth,

(13:27):
because when you look at situations and circumstances that way,
it's no longer a problem. It is an opportunity, not
just for you, for your family, for your colleagues, for
your friends, wherever the problem is. If you have more
than one problem in your life, that means you have

(13:48):
many opportunities in your life, many opportunities to change, many
opportunities to walk in power absolutely And when I say
walking power, I'm talking about walking in the power of
being absolutely determined and positive to overcome. That's power because

(14:12):
it's so easy to have a problem and complain about everything.
It's easy to do that. Anybody can do that. I
hear and see people doing that all the time. I
worked in an environment years ago, and all the people
did was complain all day long. That's all they did.

(14:33):
Every time a procedure was changed, they complained. And I
would tell myself, don't complain because it's only gonna make
things worse. Everybody in the office was complaining and talking
about the new procedure or the new rule, or whatever
it is they wanted us to do. I would go
in the bathroom and just pray. I would go in

(14:55):
the bathroom and pray just to get away from the
negativity because the negativity was weighing on me. And I'm
not saying that I was perfect through the whole process
of adapting to the change at the job. But what
I'm saying is I told myself it's better to just

(15:17):
make the adjustment and not complain, because when you complain
about something, that means you're not embracing the process because
you are complaining, So stop complaining. Complaining is a position
of being power less. Complaining is a position of being

(15:44):
power less. But when you embrace the process or whatever
it is you are going through, you will be on
a path of a great a place of personal growth

(16:04):
and long term success.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
It's a guarantee.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
I'm talking about success in your attitude, success in your mindset,
success and your words and how you speak and the
words you use to communicate, success in how you approach
the crazy people in your life. Success and how you
deal with everything so that you can have levels and

(16:31):
levels and levels of peace and prosperity and how you function.
Because embracing the process is also a position of empowerment.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
Don't you want to be empowered?

Speaker 1 (16:50):
Don't you want to be in a position of empowerment,
so that you are no longer complaining, so that you
are no longer crying by yourself. Don't you want to
be in that position? Well, you can be if you
embrace the process. Okay, So I'm gonna give you this

(17:11):
quick story, right, I'm not gonna name no names because
I don't want to throw anybody under the bus. As
we say in America, we say throw somebody under the
bus when we use a person name to talk about them,
so we don't make that person look bad. We say,
I don't want to throw that person under the bus. Okay,
if you don't know what that means, Okay, for those

(17:33):
of you that live in places like Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Okay,
that's one of those phrases that we use.

Speaker 2 (17:42):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
So anyway, so this individual, well call me up and
always complain about their job. They will always complain about
their balls and everything that was happening on the job. Now,
I'm not saying that this individual, you know, they shouldn't

(18:05):
have expressed themselves every time they called me. You know,
it's okay to talk about what's going on, right, there's
nothing wrong with that. But every time I would say
to this person, embrace the process of whatever it is
you're going through with your manager. Embrace it because you will.

Speaker 2 (18:23):
Be more powerful.

Speaker 1 (18:24):
You will learn something. This individual they just kept complaining
and complaining and complaining, and of course over time they
did understand what I was saying. But the point of
it all was this. I had to constantly say to
this individual, you have to understand that this is a
part of your development and growth. The problems you're going

(18:46):
through on your job is a part of your development
and your growth. And they would say things like now
it's not. Oh no, it's not. And of course, you know,
it took some time to convince the person, but over time,
you know, they realize, yeah, if I didn't go through

(19:09):
what I went through on the job, I wouldn't be
the person I am today. So that's proof, right. So
what I'm saying to you is this, when you embrace
the process, you will be empowered. You will have wisdom,
You will grow in wisdom, you will have another level
of knowledge about that type of situation, human behavior, relationships,

(19:36):
whatever it is you're going through. You will obtain a
greater awareness of what you are supposed to do in
that situation because embracing the process, it empowers you. It's
a position of empowerment because complaining is a position of

(19:58):
being powerless. So don't forget that. So embrace the process
and you will come out on the other side being
your best. Because growth does not happen overnight. Success is
built through patience, discipline, and commitment, and that all happens

(20:22):
in a process. And the more you embrace the process,
you will trust the process, learn from your challenges, and
remain consistent with your goals to grow. So remember, when

(20:43):
you embrace the process, you are embracing empowerment because complaining
will leave you powerless. So don't complain. For those of
you that are going through relationship problems and you know
you just can't walk away, especially when you're married, don't
complain if it's something real small. I'm not talking about

(21:04):
domestic abuse because that's something different, but I'm talking about
that spouse or that partner that just gets on your
nerves sometimes. Embrace the process to grow, Embrace the process
to learn about the person and brace the process to
be more patient, to have more compassion. Embrace the process

(21:27):
to strengthen your communication skills. Embrace the process to be
more professional to be more patient with that manager that
may not know what you know. Yes, there are many
people that we work with and you know more than
they know.

Speaker 2 (21:46):
If you know more than they.

Speaker 1 (21:47):
Know, that means you should be more more merciful, more compassionate.

Speaker 2 (21:53):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (21:55):
And you have the nerve to look at them and say, oh,
they don't know what they're doing. No, don't even say
that anymore. Shell the mercy and embrace the process for
you to be empowered even when that person doesn't know
what they're doing. So I'm gonna run through ten tips

(22:20):
related to embracing the process, because when you embrace the process,
it's gonna help you. It's gonna empower you. It's not
only gonna gonna empower you, but it's gonna help you
to empower others because when you line up with what
is good, others will line up as well. Especially for

(22:45):
leaders on the job, leaders in their households. We have
the responsibility to set the example as a leader. As
a parent, we have the responsibility to set the standard
for what we want to experience. Because we don't always

(23:05):
have to tell people what they're doing wrong, and we
don't always have to tell people what they should do.
But when we exemplify that and we just show it,
people will follow, no matter who it is, no matter
how old they are. My granddaughter she repeats everything that
we say, and if we use the wrong words, that

(23:26):
means that she will use the wrong words too. So
if we use the right words, she will grow in
a very healthy way. To speak life, not to complain,
and to speak positivity. That's right. So that's what it
is all about. We all have a responsibility. So I'm

(23:47):
gonna give ten tips related to embracing the process for growth.

Speaker 2 (23:53):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (23:55):
Number one, focus on progress and our perfection. I always
say that because it is something that is very helpful.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
When you focus on.

Speaker 1 (24:03):
The progress and not perfection in the midst of the process,
you will understand that the progress will be your motivation
to keep going. So focus on the progress and not perfection.
Number two, be patient with your personal development. As I
told my student, we are not microwave human ovens. You

(24:24):
can't just click on something and something happens overnight. For
those of you that have fitness goals and you want
to lose weight quickly, please understand you have to do
the work. You have to continue to exercise, you have
to continue to eat right. You also have to make
sure that you maintain the discipline with consistency, because fitness

(24:49):
is a lifestyle. As my daughter reminded me, it is
not like turning on a light. No it's not you
can just turn on a light and turn around. No,
it doesn't work that way. Results come over time. So
embrace the process for your fitness goals because when you
do that, you take on a mindset to maintain a

(25:13):
lifestyle of fitness. Okay, this is encouragement. So be encouraged
to keep your fitness goals and you will manifest it
if you are consistent. I believe that you will be consistent.
Just by listening to this today, you will be consistent. Okay,
all right. Number three, develop consistent Deli habits. When you

(25:38):
develop consistent Deli habits, you will embrace the process of
doing what you have to do for the results to
get to the other side. Maintain a projection, a positive
projection of what you want to see and experience, not
the things you don't want experience, because some of us

(26:00):
can think really negative, and you don't want to do that.
And if you're thinking negative, get rid of it. But
maintain the projection of what you want to experience. Develop consistent,
dely habits focused on what you should do and how
you should do it, so that you can experience what
you want to experience. Number four, Learn from mistakes and

(26:24):
challenges no matter what the mistakes are. Don't feel bad.
Don't walk around in guilt, don't walk around in shame,
don't walk around beating yourself. Give yourself grace, forgive yourself,
and learn from past mistakes and challenges. All of us
have made many different types of mistakes in our lives.

Speaker 2 (26:43):
Excuse me, none of us are perfect.

Speaker 1 (26:46):
So learn from mistakes and challenges and make sure you
give yourself grace and forgive yourself. Number five. Stay disciplined
even when motivation phades. Because motivation phades, but discipline doesn't.
Because when you are disciplined, you will do something even
when you don't really want to, and even if you

(27:07):
don't feel like it, you will do what you have
to do. So stay disciplined even when motivation phades. Number six,
surround yourself with positive influences. That means what you hear
and what you watch.

Speaker 2 (27:23):
You can't be water.

Speaker 1 (27:26):
If you are mixing yourself with oil, you can't be oil.
If you're mixing yourself with water, because oil and oil
and water they do not mix together. They do not
mix together. Okay, So surround yourself with positive influences. You
should fill yourself up with positive, inspirational and motivational content.

(27:51):
Watch your conversation with people. If somebody's talking really negative,
and someone is speaking in a way that is not
good and it's not edifying for you to keep you
built up, then cut off the conversation, as simple as that.
Soround yourself with positive influences. Not just people. I'm talking
about the content that you absorb. Some of y'all are

(28:15):
on social media constantly with no break. So if you're
watching violent videos, guess what, ask yourself the question, is
that good? No, So surrounding yourself with positive influences no
matter what it is. Number seven, celebrate small victories along

(28:36):
the way in the midst of the process. Celebrate small
victories because celebrating small victories is very important.

Speaker 2 (28:47):
Yes it is.

Speaker 1 (28:48):
It's very important because when you look at the small victories,
you get to see your progress, and paying attention to
the progress is the motivation to keep going. So celebrate
small victories along the way. Number eight invest time in
learning and self improvement. Take a course, maintain a discipline,

(29:16):
time of something that you do to improve how you think,
or improve a habit that you're trying to build. Invest
time in it, learn more about it, and like I said,
take a course of some kind of learn a new language,
do something we all have to keep learning. If you

(29:40):
are breathing, you should be learning. That's something that my
grandfather would say, and he would always tell me to read.
I was maybe eight years old, nine years old, and
he just wanted to make sure I read. When I

(30:02):
became an adult, he started making me read Bible scriptures.
And I'm so happy for that experience I had with
him because it taught me the discipline of doing something
and being consistent with it right. He was a very

(30:24):
disciplined individual, my grandfather. But anyway, I just had a
quick thought. Number nine, keep long term visions clear. Keep
your long term visions clear. That's plural, more than one,
because many of us have several goals. And whatever your

(30:45):
goals are, whatever your vision is for your family, the
vision you have for your relationships, your children, educational goals,
business goals, keep your long term visions clear.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
And make sure that you.

Speaker 1 (31:00):
You understand you are on the path to embrace the
progress with the process, because remember, when you embrace the
process to grow, it's better to get through it embracing

(31:20):
the process and not complaining. Because you are embracing the
process to grow, you are embracing the process to learn,
and you are embracing the process to be empowered. Remember that.
And lastly, number ten, trust the journey and remain persistent

(31:41):
always and never never forget God. I got to say it, Hollylujah,
thank you God. Don't ever forget God. I gotta say this,
even though it's the last tip. I gotta say this

(32:03):
because God is beautiful. He wants the best for us.
And I am not saying this religiously. I am saying
this from a spiritual point of view. I am a
spiritual person. So don't forget God. Don't forget him because
he's beautiful. If you take a moment to think about
the flowers, the ocean, the stars in the sky, the grass,

(32:25):
the green grass, the mountains, the fresh air, even though
in some places it's polluted, you know what I mean,
what God has provided. When you pay attention to nature,
you will appreciate life more. Just take a moment and
breathe that in today and make sure you focus on

(32:47):
what is good. Thank you so much for listening to
