(04:04):
so much for taking the time to tune in today,
and also those of you that support the podcast, thank
you so much well. The episode title for today is
aligning yourself would purpose to be more specific, how to

(04:25):
align with your purpose and transform your life. Let me
repeat that again. The title of this episode is how
to align with your purpose and transform your life. Many
of us, unfortunately, sometimes we do things that are not

(04:47):
a good fit for us. And what do I mean
by that? We have jobs and we participate in different
things in life and it has nothing to do with
our purpose or passion. Many people have jobs they don't
even like. Many people do things of course, because they
want to make a living. They have to make a living,
of course. But your fulfillment is in your purpose, because

(05:14):
when you align yourself with your purpose, that means you
are doing something that is meaningful, successful and fulfilling. Now.
And of course, like I said, many of us we
have done things. I know I have. Many of us
have done things just to make a living, and we
were not or or are not aligned with our purpose.

(05:36):
Because everything is not for everybody, you know. For an example,
I love watching court shows and I love listening to
lawyers speak, but I am not a lawyer. I have
no desire to learn about law. Now, for someone that

(05:57):
loves law and they love providing services and fighting for
justice for people or corporations or whatever, that type of
person has a passion for being a lawyer or they
have a love for law right, So that means that
that type of person is aligned to practice law right.

(06:19):
The same thing applies to someone that is a scientist
or someone that is a doctor. I personally, I love
to inspire people. And I know that inspiring and helping
and teaching and encouraging and coaching people that's my call,
that's my purpose. And I knew that when I was

(06:42):
such a young kid, because anytime somebody said something negative,
I would feel bad. I would feel really bad, and
I would say to myself, when I hear people speak negative,
why do I feel so bad? I felt bad because

(07:03):
I understood very young that tearing people down is not good,
but building them up is simply better. And I know
that that is my purpose for life. And your purpose
for your life must be aligned with what you have
a passion for. I was talking to someone earlier this

(07:25):
week and the individual said to me, I don't know
what I should do. This person has been in college
for some time and now they are in the process
of going to graduate school and they are not sure
about their career path. And I said to the individual, well,

(07:47):
if you write down what you love to do and
what you are passionate about, then you will come to
an understanding about what your purpose is. All of us
has a divine purpose, and when you tap into understanding
your purpose, you will also tap into understanding what your

(08:12):
gifts are. All of us are different, and when you
understand what you do very very well, that's how you
will know what your gift is. That's how you will
know what your purpose is. And I know it might
be somebody out there saying, gifts. What are you talking about? Gift? Well,

(08:35):
I'm talking about the gifts that God has given all
of us. God has given us all gifts. When you
look at people like Michael Jordan, and when you look
at people like Oprah Winfrey, and you look at people
like think about just think about somebody that's really good
at doing something. Right, I just mentioned two people that

(08:55):
are really good at doing something. So when you think
about someone that is really good at doing something and
someone that has done the work to be the best
that they can be, that person has aligned themselves with
their purpose. That's right. When you when God gives you
a gift, and when he gives you an ability, you're

(09:16):
supposed to do the work to maximize the ability you
can grow into with that gift. I know, personally, I'm
gonna use myself as an example. I know that I
can encourage and inspire people. I'm really confidently sure about it.

(09:39):
I can convince a person that they are just everything
on top of everything and more. I can convince a
person of that and why because I understand that is
my purpose. My purpose is to esteem people. That's right

(10:02):
and so your purpose aligns with something that you are
good at doing. That's right, your purpose aligns with something
that you are good at doing. And so understand this.
When you understand your purpose, you gain clarity, direction, and
confidence in your decisions. Because some people get stuck because

(10:27):
they are not aligned with their purpose. And you don't
want to be stuck. You want to stay in a
position of progressing, growing and changing. DELI. If you're in
school or if you are learning something new, that means

(10:50):
you are adding something to your skill set. But make
sure you are not wasting time learning something or doing
something that's not going to increase your ability according to
your gifts. So the more we do the work work
on our gifts and our talents, the more we will

(11:15):
walk in our potential whatever that is, right, whatever it is,
because as long as we are here on this earth,
we will never stop learning. So it is important remember
to align yourselves with your gifts and be open, be

(11:39):
open to having open mindset to make changes so that
you can do the work to enhance your abilities according
to your gifts and your talents. Okay, so the first
tip I want to get out, excuse me give out
to just remind you of how to align with your purpose.

(12:08):
The first one I want to The first tip I
want to mention is this, get quiet and reflect because
purpose isn't found in noise, It's discovered in stillness. Spend
time alone, journaling, praying, or meditating to hear your inner
voice clearly. That's one tip that you can use to

(12:32):
align with your purpose because at the start of every day,
we should be doing something to set the course for
something that is meaningful. That's right. The next one, identify
what energizes you. Pay attention to what excites you, and

(12:52):
what gives you energy. Purpose often lives where passion and
enjoy meets. Where they meet together. Passion and joy the
thing that gives you joy, That thing that gives you passion,
the thing that makes you excited. That's what your purpose is, okay.

(13:14):
The next one, know your values define what truly matters
to you. Faith, family, and growth can bring impact. That's right. Faith,
family and growth can bring impact to you knowing your purpose.

(13:39):
Why because your purpose will always align with your core values,
and your family and your faith is a part of
your core values. Let go of what no longer serves you.
I love this one. Release toxic habits, environments, so mince

(14:00):
that pull you away from your higher calling. Because the
more you align with your purpose, you want to also
be around people that are aligning with their purpose. You
don't want to be around people that are doing things
and speaking contrary of what you are trying to accomplish.

(14:23):
Having a focus and a goal and a plan to
manifest something good, that means you can't have no distractions.
And if you are around people that are toxic and
different environments and they are pulling you away from your
higher calling, that means that they are wasting your time.

(14:49):
So you have to rid toxic habits, environments and stay
away from people that are not aligning themselves with their purpose. Okay,
take small, consistent steps and actions. You don't need a
huge leap. Just take consistent steps daily. Because purpose is

(15:17):
built through action, not just thought. So we have to
take action by doing the work on ourselves. We have
to take action by praying, we have to take action,
of course, by believing. We have to take action by
making a plan. We have to take action according to
what we do every single day. Because every consistent step

(15:42):
is building something Okay, every consistent step is building something better.
Don't ever think that your work on something is in vain.
It is building something better. Every action is a building
block to the building building that is being built by you,

(16:03):
whatever that building consists of. Okay, embrace growth and challenges.
Discomfort is often a sign you're evolving. That's right. Discomfort
is a sign that you are growing. Discomfort is a
sign that you are breaking through. Yes, don't run from it,

(16:26):
lean into it, because that discomfort means you are growing
out of the old place. Oh yes, I'm excited now,
I'm excited. So so when you feel uncomfortable, don't think
that you are not on the right path, because you are.

(16:47):
Because discomfort only means you are growing, all right. So
stay connected to people that inspire you, people that uplift
you and push you toward your best self. Surround yourself
with the right people. Okay, read what it's toxic and

(17:11):
surround yourself with the right people. Okay. Maintain good listening
skills to listen to God your inner guidance. That's right.
You have inner guidance when you sit quietly in a
still place, journal and meditating, and when you are quiet,

(17:35):
guess what, that's when you can hear your inner voice.
And that inner voice wants to guide you to something great,
to something better, to something full of love, something full
of peace, to something full of prosperity, to something full
of grace, to something full of riches and wealth, your

(18:02):
inner voice, because your inner voice is your guidance, all right,
Trust divine timing and direction because purpose becomes clear when
you seek spiritual alignment. And that is another reason why
you have to be still and quiet, because when you

(18:24):
are still and quiet, you get to hear something you
never heard when you are still and quiet, because you
can't hear anything when there's the noise of traffic and
horns and kids calling you, and your husband or wife
is calling you, and your friends is calling you, and

(18:45):
you're on social media and the phone is ringing. That
is a bunch of noise. So you don't want that.
You want to be still and quiet so that you
can listen to God, You're inner guidance, so you can
hear and have that spiritual alignment, so that you can

(19:06):
keep aligning yourself with your purpose. Stop comparing your journey
to other people, because your life and your story belongs
to you. Your story and your life is not supposed
to be like your sister or your cousin or your
friend or the person you saw on social media. No,

(19:29):
stop comparing yourself to other people because your path is unique.
Comparing yourself to others creates distraction and delays alignment with
your purpose. Because if you're paying attention to other people
so much, that means you are not paying attention to you.

(19:53):
So don't compare yourself to anyone, no matter how old
you are, because people of all ages do it. Focus
on your life, your talents, your gifts, your focus, your goals,
what you want for your family, what you want for
your path. That's your journey, So align yourself with it

(20:19):
according to your purpose. And lastly, stay consistent and trust
the process. Why because the process is making you into
someone better, because you are doing the work and you
are aligning yourself with purpose. Alignment doesn't happen overnight. They disciplined,

(20:46):
trust the journey and keep showing up every single day
being your best self, getting rid of bad habits, being
open to a new mindset, being open to new conversations,
new relationships, breaking barriers to learn more about yourself and

(21:08):
people you don't know. That's that's what it's all about.
Aligning yourself with your purpose and As you align yourself
with your purpose, you will be fulfilled. You will have
more joy, you will have more peace, you will have

(21:28):
a greater passion about life because you are operating in
your purpose. It takes work every single day to do
what is necessary so that you can be a better youth.
It's not a hard thing to do. It is not difficult.

(21:49):
It is all about a willingness for you to grow.
And if you really want to have a life full
of peace and joy and grace and goodness, you can.
I'm not talking about a perfect life. Nobody has a
perfect life, but you can have a life filled with quality.

(22:12):
And the quality that you have you can share it
with others. You can share it with your friends, share
it with your loved ones, share it with your colleagues.
Because everybody needs peace, everybody needs joy, everybody needs love.
So allow yourself to be an asset to bring more
light to people wherever you go, because as you do

(22:34):
the work on you, you will have something of substance
to give to someone else. So thank you so much
