(04:06):
title of this episode. The title is mindset Hygiene. How
can we maintain good a good mindset hygiene? And the
absolute title is mindset Hygiene, How to clean your thoughts,
protect your peace and build mental strength. I started talking
(04:31):
about the entire episode. I went into the episode before
I started talking about the title. But the title is
mindset Hygiene, how to clean your thoughts, protect your peace,
and build mental strength. That is the title of this episode.
(04:52):
And what is mindset hygiene. Mindset hygiene is the daily
practice of keeping your thoughts healthy, focus and empowering. Just
like physical hygiene, we have to keep our bodies clean.
So in this episode, I'm going to talk about why
mindset hygiene is important. It's important first firstly because we
(05:18):
have to manage our emotional health. Our emotional health is
extremely important day by day, and the more you focus
on what is healthy for you and what is good
for you, the better your emotional health will be. We
(05:42):
have to manage how we feel, even when we're uncomfortable,
and even if we don't feel good about something. We
have to manage how we feel because the more we
manage how we feel, that means we are taking control.
That's right, We have to manage. We have to take control.
(06:04):
We have to practice self control. And that's what it's
all about. When you are uncomfortable or if you are
focused on the wrong thing or thinking about something you
shouldn't be thinking about, that can contribute to poor emotional
health because your thoughts navigate the feelings that you will have.
(06:31):
If you sit and think about something that's really, really uplifting, like,
for an example, if you think about nature and you
think about the beauty of the sun and the clouds
and water and flowers. When you think about things like that,
all of a sudden, you will start to feel very calm,
(06:52):
You will start to feel very relaxed, and it's a
good feeling. And the flip side of that, the opposite side,
that is, if you start to think about something really
bad or something really dark and something really negative according
to the past, or just by thinking about the news
today and all the things that's going on across the
(07:14):
world that can make a person sad. That, yes, that
can make a person sad. And so you don't want
to focus on the things that will make you sad.
You want to focus on everything that will stir up
an emotion of what is good. Because we all have
(07:34):
to manage our emotional health, and you manage your emotional
health by what you expose yourself to, what you expose
yourself to when it comes to the eye gate and
the irrigate every single day, what you see and what
you listen to, and you have to protect it. Sometimes
(07:57):
it's not good to watch the news. Of course, we
all should be well informed about what is happening every day.
But sometimes it's not good to watch the news, and
sometimes it's not good to watch a horror film that's
gonna make you more fearful. That's right, and yes, that
is my opinion. And I know somebody might say something like,
(08:18):
excuse me, there's nothing wrong with a horror film. No,
there's nothing wrong with it. But sometimes if you are
trying to build yourself up, if you are a person
that struggles with fear, why are you exposing yourself to
everything that will increase your fear. Expose yourself to everything
(08:38):
that will eliminate fear. Now, I'm not talking about having
a little fear about some of the things that you
do for the first time, because some fear is positive.
But I'm talking about that type of fear that just
makes you discouraged to do anything new, or I'm talking
(09:00):
about that type of fear that brings harm to your
emotional health. I'm talking about that. But the point of
the matter is this, we all have a responsibility to
make sure that we are building ourselves up, DAILI. Just
like we take care of our physical bodies, we have
to take care of our emotional health, and we have
(09:23):
to take care of the inward parts of ourselves. We
take care of the inward parts of ourselves according to
how we think. Of course, yes, according to how we
eat as well. But we're talking about the mindset today,
So it's all about how you think. Because mindset hygiene
(09:48):
is a daily practice of keeping your thoughts, healthy, focused,
and empowering. Because, as I stated, just like you take
care of your physical heal hygiene, you have to take
care of your mental hygiene. Taking care of your mental
(10:09):
hygiene also will increase more confidence. That's right, It will
increase more confidence. Why because if you are thinking well
about yourself when it comes to your self esteem, if
you are thinking about your talents and abilities and your
(10:29):
gifts and all the things that you can do positively,
that will build your confidence. It is not conceited to
think well of yourself because some people say things like that.
They say, oh, you're just being conceded to think well
of yourself. No, you're not. You're not conceited if you
(10:49):
think well of yourself. You are supposed to think well
of yourself. You're supposed to have a healthy mental high
and you are supposed to have a healthy self esteem.
So you are supposed to think well of yourself. Don't
ever think that you are not supposed to think well
(11:12):
of yourself. You have to think well of yourself. You
have to be confident. Having confidence is a part of
wearing clothes. You have to put it on every single day,
and you have to put it on because it has
to be a part of who you are. That's right.
(11:35):
None of us should walk around with a mental mindset
of not having confidence. No, that's wrong. We are not
supposed to function that way. A mental mindset of good
mindset hygiene is one that thinks well of themselves. So
(12:01):
think well of yourself. If you're trying something new, or
if you are in an environment and you're uncomfortable, or
if you have doubts about something, shift your doubts into
being confident. Shift yourself doubt into being confident. How by
(12:21):
simply thinking well about yourself, believing in yourself more, believing
that you can accomplish what you say you will accomplish.
Believe in yourself by doing the things you have never
done before. That's right. You can do that because a
mindset hygiene, once again, it is the daily practice of
(12:46):
keeping your thoughts healthy, focused, and empowering. A mindset. Good
mindset hygiene can also help us to make good decisions.
Why Because we get to weigh the pros and cons
about what is good and what is not. We also
(13:10):
get to weigh the pros and cons about what can
advance advance us or what can give us the advantage
and what can give us the disadvantage. So a good
mental mindset hygiene puts us and keeps us in a
(13:32):
good position. So that is why we have to think
more positively. Excuse me. It is important every single day
to understand your power, the power you have, the power
you can demonstrate by being a good influence to others.
(13:56):
That's right, you have that power and maintain I mean,
good decisions, weighing things out, thinking carefully, being more positive
and not cynical and not pessimistic can help you to
make good decisions. When you make good decisions without being selfish,
(14:21):
and understand the power of being unselfish, that will also
help you to make good decisions. Mindset hygiene will position
you to have better relationships because you are making good decisions,
(14:46):
you're growing in confidence, and you are managing your emotional health.
Mindset hygiene can also help you to project great things
about well your future, but not just your future, the
future of your children, the future of your marriage, the
(15:08):
future of your colleagues at work. That's right because mental
mindset hygiene is not just about everything concerning you. It's
about everything that is connected to you. So continue to
understand the power of projecting what is good, continue to
(15:34):
understand the power of walking in confidence, managing your emotional health,
and making good decisions. Sometimes when I talk about these
types of topics, I repeat certain things because I wanted
to stick with you. I want you to be able
(15:58):
to have a repetitive pattern of thinking about what is
good and even when it comes to what I'm saying
in this episode, because when you focus on something, it
becomes you. When something is repeatedly heard over and over,
(16:23):
we will remember more quicker. So that's another reason why
sometimes I repeat certain things over and over when I'm
talking about these topics, because we gotta make choices every hour,
every hour, we have to we have to choose. We
(16:45):
have to choose how to think, We gotta choose what
to do. We gotta choose where we're going, how we're
going to get there. We got to make all these
decisions every single day. But everything that we do starts
with how we It starts with how we think. Because
(17:06):
if you are a focused, determined, disciplined person, you understand
exactly what I'm talking about. Every moment of our lives,
we get to choose, and being more positive and more
healthy mentally, it positions us for more of what is good.
(17:32):
It's such a great feeling to project what is good constantly.
And I know some people are like, oh, that's not reality,
there's bad things going on. How can you project what's
good all the time? You can? You can. I'm not
talking about neglecting and not acknowledging how you see negative things,
(18:00):
talking about prioritizing what is good first, being more focused
on solutions and not problems, because if we focus on
all that is wrong, there are no benefits in that.
If we're gonna look at what's wrong in the world,
and if we're gonna look at what's wrong in our lives,
(18:21):
or if we look at what's wrong in any type
of problem, we should always look at it with the
lens of what is the solution and not the problem,
because when you focus on the problem too long, then
it becomes a burden. And who wants to carry luggage
(18:44):
luggages of bags on their shoulders every single day. That
doesn't feel good to carry something heavy every single day, No,
it doesn't. So that is why we have to maintain
a good mindset hygiene. Maintaining a good mindset hygiene will
(19:10):
also give you more peace, It will give you more
peace to reduce stress. It will give you more peace
to have more mental clarity. It will give you more
peace too, so that you can fully understand what you
(19:32):
should do and what you should not do, being conscientious
of your decisions and choices. A good mindset hygiene will
work as a preventive measure as well. Yes, it will
(19:53):
work as a type of protection when you you are focused,
when you are practicing maintaining a good mindset hygiene. We
gotta know the difference. We gotta know the difference between
(20:16):
practicing a good mindset hygiene versus not practicing a good
mindset hygiene. A person that doesn't practice a good mindset
hygiene is a person that says anything. They do anything
because what they think, they say. They have no self
(20:36):
control over what comes out out of their mouth. They
project the negative of just about everything in life, and
the energy and the feeling of being around them is
just all wrong. You don't want that, do you. No,
you don't, No, you don't want that. We all enjoy
(20:59):
the feeling of love, We all enjoy the feeling of joy,
We all enjoy the feeling of peace. So why would
you want to invite the energy of what is negative?
So that is why you have to practice a good
mindset hygiene or maintaining good mindset hygiene. You have to
(21:25):
continually practice maintaining that because the more you practice maintaining
good mindset hygiene, the more you will progressively position yourself
for a personal transformation transformation. That's right, you will position
(21:47):
yourself for a personal transformation because practicing and maintaining a
good mindset hygiene will position you for personal You can
go wrong by maintaining a good, solid health, healthy thought life.
(22:12):
You can't go wrong with that. But you can go
wrong and have problems and stir up bad energy if
you don't make this your thought life, if you don't
have a focus, if you don't maintain a good mindset hygiene.
A person that doesn't take a bath normally has an order.
(22:33):
A person that doesn't take care of themselves has an order. Okay,
I'm being realistic, So what do you think happens when
a person don't take care of their mindset. It's a
different kind of order, but it's still an odor. It's
a spiritual order, it's a it's a it's a mindset odor.
(22:57):
It's an energy that is not good. So maintain a
good mindset hygiene every single day, because the more you
maintain that again, you will manage your emotional health. You
will walk in confidence, you will maintain a good decision making.
(23:21):
You will position yourself for personal growth. You will have
good positive emotional wellness. You will have a reset of
thinking every day you get up. You will consistently walk
in self development progressively, you will have more mental clarity,
(23:47):
and you will stay in the position of having what
it's called a growth mindset. Healing is beautiful. It's beautiful
because you get to transform from what is old to
something new. And the more you transform from something old
(24:09):
to something new, that means you are replenishing yourself. You're
replenishing your mind. You're replenishing who you are inwardly, just
as you replenish yourself and care for yourself outwardly. Because
our outside must match the inside. Putting on beautiful clothes
(24:34):
and wearing nice clothes, and driving nice cars and looking
beautiful on the outside or looking handsome on the outside,
but just all messed up in the inside. That is
not the way it's supposed to be. So a good
mindset hygiene will set you on the course to do
(24:54):
the work inwardly, mentally, spiritually, and you will experience the
beauty of evidence every single day of your life as
you take steps to journal, to pray, to monitor your self,
(25:19):
talk the way you talk to yourself to limit mental toxins,
reduce exposing yourself to draining people, environments, and information. Protect
your boundaries. Say no when necessary to preserve emotional and
mental energy. Reset your mind daily, as I stated, using journaling, prayer, meditation,
(25:46):
and reflections positive reflections to cleanse your thoughts. Think about
the things you accomplish. Think about the blessings and the
victories and the things that you have overcome your life.
Don't think about all the negative stuff and how you suffer,
but think about how you overcame the suffering. Think about
(26:08):
how God helped you to get to where you are
now in your life. And I say God, because yes,
God is the one that has helped all of us.
None of us can do nothing within ourselves. The minute
we think that we can do something within ourselves totally
by ourselves, that means we're in pride. So you don't
(26:29):
want to be in pride. So understand you can't breathe
without God's air. All right, let's make that clear. I
have to say that because sometimes you know, some people
have become so successful they think, oh, well, I achieved
this on my own. But if God took his breath
out of your lungs, then what could you do then?
(26:51):
Because a credit card or a check or some money
can't pray for your breath. Okay that I'm just giving
you something think about. For those of you you that
sometimes forget about God, you can't forget about God. Okay.
So so practice gratitude. Also to maintain a good mindset hygiene,
(27:15):
practice gratitude. I'm gonna run through those tips, those tips again.
Monitor self talk. Replace negative inner dialogue with truth based,
empowering thoughts. The next one I said this earlier. Limit
mental toxins. Reduce exposure to draining media, information, conversations, and
people or environments. The next one, practice dealy gratitude. Gratitude
(27:40):
shifts focus from stress to strength and peace. The next one,
protect your boundaries, say no one necessary to preserve emotional
and mental energy. And lastly, reset your mind deli using journaling, prayer, meditation,
and reflection to cleanse your thoughts. I had to say
all of them over again in order so that you
(28:02):
can understand exactly what I'm talking about because mental mindset
hygiene is good when we learn how to remove negative
thinking patterns, protect our peace, and develop a growth mindset
(28:22):
that supports success, healing, and purpose. I want you to
truly understand what I'm saying because some people sometimes when
you mention or say something like, oh, think positive, they
think it's just something light. No, it's not anything that
you should take lightly. It's serious because maintaining a good
(28:46):
healthy thought life is your entire life. Because if you
sit around thinking about all the negative things, and if
you sit around thinking about all the things that hurt
you and all the the negative things of your past,
there's no benefits in that now. If you think about
the life lessons of according to what you've been through now,
(29:10):
and that's different. But you want to maintain a solid, good,
healthy thought life so that you can be a better person, walking, healing,
walk in your power. You do not want to walk
around acting like a victim according to your past. Your
(29:30):
past cannot be a part of your presence. The lessons
of your past can give you power, but walking who
you are supposed to be now because you are powerful.
When you want to be powerful, you are powerful. So
maintain a good mindset hygiene to practice daily thoughts, maintaining
(30:05):
a good focus, healthy thoughts and maintaining a good focus
and maintaining all that is necessary for you to be
a better person, to have mental clarity, emotional balance, stress reduction,
and a personal transformation. You can do it. I'm doing
(30:28):
the work on myself and I know you can do
it too. As we continue to walk out this journey
and this life. If we understand the power of becoming
more of an asset and not a liability, then you
will walk in power. And it starts with how you think.
