Speaker 1 (00:25):
Blessings and peace to you. This is SP Favorite Thinking Podcasts,
and my name is SP Favorite. How are you doing today?
It is Friday, May one, two thousand twenty six, another
wonderful day and another day to be thankful. And as
I always say, if you focus on what is good,
then you can project something good to happen. When you
(00:48):
focus on what is good. I have to remind you
of that because many people sometimes just focus on the
negative things, the negative reports of the news, and negative
things that are happening in relationships and families and society. Yes,
we do have to be informed, but we don't have
to focus on those things daily. So focus on what
(01:09):
is good. You will do yourself some good when you
focus on what is good. So I hope you are
having a very good Friday. I am. I didn't do
an episode on Wednesday of this week, so here I
am today. So I want to remind you if you
are out there traveling about whatever you are doing outdoors today,
(01:29):
make sure you pray, make sure you stay focused, make
sure you are not on your cell phone distracted, because
many people are walking around with their cell phones looking
down in the public and while you are traveling wherever
you are. You should be paying attention. You should not
be distracted by being on your cell phone too much. Okay.
(01:50):
I always remind you of these things because I simply care.
That's it. I just simply care, and I honestly understand
the danger of being distracted. When I'm out and about
and I look down at my phone, if I'm in
a supermarket or if I'm just walking, I tell myself, Okay,
put the phone away, because it's not good to be
(02:11):
distracted in the public. You have to pay attention to
your environment. There are a lot of things going on
in the world and we have to be focused and yes,
prayer for okay, so don't forget to praise, stay focused,
and don't be distracted by being on your cell phone
too much. And lastly, I would like to remind you
if you would like to take English lessons public speaking lessons,
(02:35):
if you are preparing for a presentation and you just
want to practice, you can take a lesson at icsbz
one dot com. Make an appointment, go to the website
and just simply make an appointment. You could take a
thirty minute lesson or a sixty minute lesson. And once again,
if you would like to take a lesson to prepare
(02:56):
for a presentation, confidence building, public speaking, if you want
to improve your English, you can take a lesson. We
provide lessons online around the world. Okay, so there's no
limitation according to where you live. You can take a lesson. Yes,
you can take a lesson, or if you know someone
(03:16):
pass the information on make an appointment at the website
I S S D I Z number one dot com.
Once again, it is I C S B I Z
number one dot com. Okay, all right, So the title
of this episode is create a quality filled life for
your relationships and for your goals. It's a simple, simple title,
(03:42):
create a quality filled life for your relationships and for
your goals. I decided to talk about this today because
a quality filled life is something that we all want,
and a quality filed life is something that we all
can create. It doesn't matter where you are, doesn't matter
how old you are. A quality field life is a
simple life. It's not about material things. It's not about
(04:04):
how much money you make, how much education you have.
It's all about what you choose. A quality filed life
is filled with self awareness, discipline, and intentional actions. And
having a quality filled life is also a life that
is filled with emotional intelligence. Yes, emotional intelligence, and so
(04:26):
we all have been given free will to choose what
kind of life we have. And sometimes excuse me, sometimes
people don't always choose what's good and there are reasons
for that. We all come from different backgrounds, we all
think differently, we all have experienced different types of traumas
(04:48):
and unfortunately those things have caused us to make poor
or bad decisions. But we can choose a quality filed
life and equality. Filed life has everything to do with
with setting your priorities in order when it comes to
your goals, your relationships, and the environments that you create
(05:08):
according to the energy that you maintain. As I said,
with self awareness and discipline and just choosing to be
more intentional. Choosing to be more intentional for me is
like focusing on the result, because when you focus on
a result, you will understand and know what to do
(05:30):
for the result. For an example, if you want to
be very physically fit, common sense will tell you that, okay,
you have to do the work in terms of going
to the gym, you have to eat right, and you
have to practice discipline. So in order to have a
good relationship, or to achieve a large goal or even
a small goal, we have to understand what is necessary
(05:54):
in order to complete those goals. Some people talk about
starting goals, and unfortunately they procrastinate and they never even
get to start. Don't feel bad about it if you've
done that, but simply think about what you want to
experience the rest of your life. You can start today
with a small goal and write down ten steps to
(06:17):
complete and execute each goal so that your complete goal
can be accomplished. Taking the steps going forward to complete
the goal. That's what it's about and creating A quality
filled life is a life filled with excellence, not perfection,
but excellence. A quality filled life is about creating precious
(06:43):
moments and memories. Because time is not promised to any
of us, and we should never take the time we
have for granted. Our focus should always be intentional creating
moments that will get give us something more to look
forward to. For an example, if you set plans in
(07:06):
order to take a vacation, or if you set plans
in order to visit family, or you set plans in
order to do something you've never done, that is an
example of a simple goal to complete and a quality
filled life has everything to do with purpose, because when
you set your goals, whatever they are, you will have
(07:28):
something to look forward to. People that don't set goals
are people that just in my opinion, they just exist,
go to work, come home, and they do the same
thing every single day. We all should have some type
of goal, whether it's the short term goal, long term goal,
(07:48):
over time, monthly, weekly, daily, we should have goals because
when we have goals for our lives, whether it's our relationships,
whether it's finances, it could be anything, it gives you
something to look forward to. And a quality filled life
is filled with constant, consistent transforming. That means nothing is
(08:11):
never the same year after year after year after year.
There's a change because in the process of choosing a
quality filled life, you will find that you will stay
on the path of personal growth. That's right, you will
stay on the path of personal growth when you choose
to have a quality filed life. Look at it like this.
(08:34):
If you could draw a picture of what type of
life you want, if you could draw that picture and
actually see it on a piece of paper, or if
you could just even right now, if you could just
think about it for a second, you will understand that
that life, that relationship, that goal. You will understand that
it is. It is attainable. It's not out of reach.
(08:57):
It's attainable. But it's all about choosing the path to
be on so that you can reach it. That's what
it's about. And the quality filled life. Again, I have
to mention it's about the discipline. It takes discipline to activate, execute,
or implement any kind of step on the path to
(09:18):
get to the goal, and you can do it. I
wanted to talk about this again today because there's so
much going on in the world. We kind of get
sidetracked by all the mess that's going on and we
forget about the bigger picture. The bigger picture is for
you to live the best life that you can live,
(09:39):
and you should think about that every single day. To
live the best life you can live. It's not about
money all the time. It's not about material things. It
is solely about the actions you take every single day
to be intentional about the life you want to live.
All of us want a good life, but sadly, many
(10:00):
people measure a good life with material things. Having a
good life has nothing to do with material things. Having
a good life has everything to do with being intentional
about your mindset and your attitude when you get up
in the morning, throughout the day, how you treat people,
how you think, what you project, and the energy that
(10:20):
you maintain thoo out the day. So think about that
for a second. You can live a quality feel life.
I'm not talking about a perfect life, because nobody's life
is perfect, but you can live a quality feel life.
You can live a quality feel life by simply defining
your goals every day, writing down specific goals that you
(10:43):
want for your personal life or your relationships. And when
you write those goals down, you can move in a
direction to execute those things you have written down, and
you can you can you can do what is necessary
instead of being confused. And why did I say that,
Because a lot of people are unsure about what they
(11:04):
want to do. Some people are indecisive, They go back
and forth, they're not sure. You don't have to be
confused if you simply make a decision about what you
want to do and how you want to do it,
taking steps, using steps of simplicity, nothing complicated, And when
you write down and define clear goals, you won't be
(11:26):
confused because you will be very specific about what you
want for your personal life, your career, and your relationships.
When you take a moment to understand and learn and
execute steps, you will also desire to strengthen your communication.
(11:47):
Because healthy relationships often depend on listening, honesty, and respectful communication.
Every relationship can have stronger communication. And again, I am
not talking about perfection. I am talking about choosing to
have and maintain a quality filed life. We don't have
(12:08):
to have a life filled with mess and garbage and
confusion and everything that's filled with toxic energy. I don't
have to tell you what toxic energy is. Just think
about anything that's negative, that's toxic energy. And so you
can have a quality filled life by building self discipline
and staying motivated because when you build self discipline, you
(12:31):
will stay consistent when challenges arise. A challenge doesn't come
to tear you down. A challenge comes to build you
up so that you can practice what you have learned
over the years, the books you've read, the prayers you prayed,
the advice that you received, all the things that you
(12:52):
have learned in your life. When challenges come, it does
not come to tear you down. It comes to build
you up so that you can use use what you've
already learned. Choose growth over comfort because personal growth often
requires stepping beyond fear. Excuses and procrastination are hindrances. There's
(13:12):
nothing good about excuses and procrastination because you have to
move beyond your fear. So choose growth over comfort. We
all want to be comfort comfortable, all of us. We
all want to get some good foods, some good wine,
and just relax and put our feet up. Right. Yeah,
we do, all of us, all of us because the
(13:35):
flesh likes to feel good. Right, yes, but there are
times where we have to choose growth over comfort. And
you will be uncomfortable sometimes when you are growing. But
remember that you are creating a quality filled life and
the process of whatever it is you're going through. Even
in a complicated relationship. I'm not talking about being abused,
(13:56):
because I wouldn't want anybody to stay in an abusive relationship.
Talking about a challenging relationship can increase your growth because
you're choosing growth over comfort. And when you choose to
do the work for a quality filled life and a
challenging relationship, it simply means you are maturing. You are
allowing yourself to grow instead of walking the other way.
(14:19):
Sometimes when challenges come, people tend to just jump off
the boat. I mean walk away. That's what it means.
Jump off the boat means walk away. So some people
jump off the boat. They don't even realize the power
of learning to have a greater life or a greater relationship.
As soon as a challenge arise, they jump off the boat.
(14:40):
That's not what we're supposed to do. Now. Of course,
there are some deal breakers in relationships. When you see
red flags, meaning when you see warning signs about a person,
you can pick and choose what you will tolerate. Many
of us have different levels of tolerance. But what I'm
saying is this, embrace the flaws of another person by
being willing to grow. We embrace the flaws of another person,
(15:02):
being willing to grow with them, and allowing yourself to grow.
That alone is choosing a quality field life as well.
Why because you are maturing in the process of something
that could be challenging. So don't jump off the boat
when challenges arise. Build self discipline and cover a person
(15:24):
with love when you see their flaws. It doesn't have
to be a romantic relationship. It could be a colleague
that's crazy on the job. When the colleague is acting
crazy on the job, you can be the light. You
can be the example in the midst of the challenge
if you practice self discipline. But if you have the
attitude of a lot of care, that's on them. It's
(15:44):
not my problem. That's not the right attitude to have.
The right attitude to have is what is my part
in this situation. Even if you're present being silent, you
are still practicing self discipline, which equates to choosing to
have a quality life, which equals to a quality field moment.
So choose growth over comfort. Also, invest in quality relationships.
(16:09):
You do get to choose, you know, Oh yes, you
do get to choose your company. You don't have to
be around people that commit to misunderstanding you. When someone
commits to misunderstanding you and constantly tries to gaslight you,
that's not an investment. That's a toxic relationship. So that
type of person. I wouldn't spend too much time with
(16:32):
that person. Doesn't mean I wouldn't love that person from
a distance, but I wouldn't spend too much time with
them because that type of person is trying to hinder
me from having a quality filled moment or quality field life.
So all of us have some crazy family members, right, yeah,
we do, just like we have crazy colleagues. We got
some crazy family members. So invest in quality relationships. And
(16:55):
if the person is not presenting the quality that is
necessary for you to grow or the quality that is
necessary for the relationship to grow, keep them at a distance.
That's right. Surround yourself with people who encourage growth, accountability,
and positivity. You don't have to spend time with people
that are not in agreement with growing or bettering themselves.
(17:19):
I don't judge anyone that chooses not to grow or evolve.
I simply keep them at a distance. And I would
say the same to anyone. And just because someone is
in your family does not mean you have to have
a close relationship with them, especially if they are toxic
in nature according to their actions. So surround yourself with
(17:39):
people who encourage growth, accountability, and positivity. Practice emotional intelligence
as much as you can learn to manage your emotions
wisely so that your decisions align with long term goals
and the person you want to be. When you practice
emotional intelligence, you master what is better for you. When
(18:01):
you practice emotional intelligence. You will heighten your awareness to
have more self awareness. That's right. Nobody won't have to
tell you when you're wrong. You will know when you're
out of pocket. That means wrong. Out of pocket means wrong.
Someone will tell you when you're out of pocket, and
you will know what to do according to what is right.
(18:23):
Sometimes when I'm talking, I use all these different phrasings,
and people from different cultures may not know what these
phrasings are, so I have to explain them. Or the
American listeners, you know what these phrases are. Out of pocket.
One of my students said to me, Chrey, what is
doing under? People doing? People under the bus? My name
(18:45):
is Shrey for people that don't know that initial ass Shrey.
So she said, what does that mean to throw people
under the bus? I said to her, it means not
to make them look bad. So when someone says, oh,
this person did this to me, and I don't want
to throw them under the bus, it means not to
make someone look bad. But anyway, some phrasing I have
(19:06):
to use, I have to use and explain because cultures
are different around the world and everybody don't use the
same metaphors and examples when it comes to how they speak.
So anyway, as I was stating, practice emotional intelligence because
it will help you with your decisions and it will
(19:28):
help you have a more heightened awareness about what you
should and shouldn't do. Always prioritize personal development because personal
development and prioritizing it is a form of self love. Read, learn, pray, reflect,
and develop skills that strengthen your confidence and your wisdom.
(19:48):
That's right, when you prioritize personal development, it is a
form of self love. Just because you're fifty or sixty
years old, it doesn't mean you know everything. It doesn't
mean you stop learning. Learning. It means that you are
at a certain level of wisdom and guess what, you
are still here in the earth, So that means you
have to continue to learn because personal development is important
(20:10):
as long as we are living. Technology and society is
constantly changing and we must move with the times to
gain clarity about everything around us. So we should never
stop learning. Stay consistent with small daily actions and create
bigger goals for yourself as you stay consistent, because small
(20:31):
daily actions will increase your motivation as you are executing
steps and as you are carrying out the things you
say you will do it will motivate you. Protect your mindset.
Always protect your mindset. Your thoughts influence your actions, so
guard against negativity and limiting beliefs. Limiting beliefs are hindermances
(20:53):
that just oppose what you want to do. So don't
limit yourself. Think outside the box. That means to think
in a way that has no limit, because all things
are possible. Thinking in a way that has limits, or
according to limitation, is not good. So remember all things
(21:14):
are possible. Protect your mindset and guard yourself against negativity
and limiting beliefs. And lastly, live with purpose because a
meaningful life is often built by aligning goals, relationships, values,
and faith with intentional actions. Everything that you do day
by day, you can include God in all of it.
(21:37):
I'm not talking about being religious and crazy. I'm talking
about having a spiritual mindset and an open mindset and
an open heart to receive the light of His love
with the peace and the clarity that rightfully belongs to you.
Because there is nothing good about being confused. There is
nothing good about being unorganized, There's nothing good about it
(22:00):
being indecisive. There's nothing good about a lack of discipline.
A quality filled life is a life filled with daily
actions and something as simple as making your bed when
you get up in the morning, or if you have
someone make your bed for you, whatever it is you
do when you start your day, having your house and
(22:23):
order from your bedroom to your bathroom to your living room,
that says something about you. So you can look around
in your environment environment, excuse me, and determine if you
are choosing a quality filled life by what you see.
When I get up in the morning, I tell myself
all the time, when I get up and I look around,
I want to see order, because order brings excellence, discipline.
(22:47):
Excuse me. Order brings discipline and discipline. Discipline brings excellence.
It brings it together order, discipline, and excellence. But there
is no order, there's no discipline. What there is discipline,
there is no excellence. They all work together. And so
everything that we do can make a difference when we
(23:09):
choose a quality field life, and we can be a
part of experiencing its quality of quality for life when
we execute what we say we will do. We can't
say we're going to do something and keep procrastinating. We
can't say we're going to do something and we never
do it what you say you will do, do it.
(23:31):
No more procrastination, no more hindering yourself, No more setbacks
because of what you have, because of what you didn't do.
But position yourself today. Start today by choosing to maintain
a quality field life, set your goals, get a journal,
write some things down, and do what is necessary to
(23:55):
be a better you. And as you work on you,
everything else around you will change. If you are a
person complaining about other people on the job, at home,
and your family among your friends, if you are complaining
about other people but you are not doing the work
on yourself, that means you're the problem. Because if you're
doing the work on yourself first, you can bring light
(24:18):
into the situation. You can bring light into the environment.
You can bring light into the office, You can bring
light into the marriage. You can bring light into that relationship.
So don't blame the other person because they might be
out of order. But look at yourself first to determine
what you can bring to the situation to change. Many
(24:41):
years ago, when I worked in the office, the people
I worked with, all of them, of course, had different personalities.
Some of them I loved, some of them I didn't
like it all. I know, really like everybody honestly, but
some people are just you know, they are intentionally annoying
for whatever reason, and would just pray for them. That
the people that just were annoying and the people that
(25:03):
honestly I didn't like. I told myself one day, I said,
I am going to get along with these people, even
though I genuinely, I genuinely just didn't want to be
bothered with them because they were so annoying. I told myself,
I'm going to get along with them. I'm going to
get along with them. I'm going to change. And when
I decided to change, that's when I saw them change. Yes,
(25:25):
And it was a powerful experience because in those moments,
I was reminded that if you decide to bring something more,
better and more positive to a relationship, the person that
you're dealing with can have something to experience and something
to see, something to feed off of to become better.
So don't complain when you are experiencing problems at work
(25:50):
and problems in your relationships or problems with your family.
You have to be the light for the change. You
have the power to bring or take something into the
situation for the change. I hope this is really helping
you to think about something because what I am saying
to you and everything that I have said to you,
(26:11):
these are the things that I have done, and I
have experienced a lot of positive experiences because of the
choices that I had to make in order to grow.
As I stated earlier, I am not talking about being perfect.
I'm talking about being better, more progressive, and just a
more healthy person inside out. It's easy to be toxic
(26:34):
every day and be hateful and mean spirited. It's easy
to be that way. It takes no effort to be
horrible and annoying. It takes no effort to be that.
You could just be that if you wanted to be that,
but to be something better, to be something powerful, to
be something more loving and more sweet and more kind.
You can be those things for your family. You can
(26:55):
be those things in your marriage instead of complaining. You
can be those things on the job to bring light
into the situation. Because when you decide to bring light
into the situation, you are giving something to someone so
that they have something to think about that's better, something
better to choose. So on that note, I am going
