Speaker 1 (00:11):
The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Before we get into ice. But now the cold, we're
gonna get into ice, which is the cold, which sounds confusing,
but it's weather related. Now it's time for the Chad
Action News Weather Report. When weather weather's we weather the storm.
(00:35):
And you guys understand that right, like the ice as
opposed to ice. Well, you know, it's just it's still
cold out there, kids, But a lot of the snowy
stuff is subsiding.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
Cold weather alerts Texas all the way up into Michigan,
then back down into Florida. In fact, it feels like
it's about twenty eight in Orlando this morning, and subzero
winches from Little Rock all the way to New York
up to Detroit where it feels.
Speaker 2 (00:56):
Like ten below.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
A little bit of warming midweek, it's minimal. We get
back to art degear later in the week and then
we'll be watching a potential storm come out of the Gulf.
It's going to be a close call for the East coast.
Speaker 2 (01:06):
So still cold, bit of snow here and there, but
for the most part, the nastiness I think is gone,
but the cold is here. And why that's important is
because black ice, man, I tell you what so yesterday,
first of all, my wife's like, you can't wear that
outfit to work, and I'm like, why not? You need
to put pants on. And I'm like, all right, fine.
(01:28):
Uh it is cold. It's cold af and there's ice
everywhere on the roads throughout the South, obviously the East coast,
in the upper Midwest. You're prepared for this, you get this.
This is not something that we get in the South.
You know, Texas is looking around going, god, what is this?
Speaker 4 (01:51):
Now?
Speaker 2 (01:51):
We got another one coming? What is this all about?
That being said, uh, there were some deaths. I think
it could have been a lot worse, and doesn't mean
people are out of the woods yet. I mean here
in Nashville, we've got a situation where we're looking at
god knows how many people that may be without power
(02:12):
for the next week and a half or so. Hopefully
that doesn't last. And there's that fear factor that you
know the next storm is going to roll through. But
it was in the snow, it was the ice, and
that ice is nasty. So what I'm advising you guys
to do, in my best advisory situation here is be careful.
If you don't have to go somewhere, and it's nasty
(02:33):
out there. Don't if ice is still everywhere, and you
got lots of power lines down and trees down, stay home.
It's it's just about safety, kids. That's what I'm doing here,
showing you that it's about we care here on the
Chad Benson Show. Meanwhile, boy, things got a little sideways
(02:56):
with everything that's taking place in Minneapolis. So soh Yesterday
obviously the spin did not spin the way that the
White House DHS and everybody was hoping it was going
to spin. And now they're trying to figure out how
(03:17):
they sort this mess out. And it is a mess.
And the one thing about Trump, right, you know, and
I will give Trump a lot of crap when I
get frustrated with some of the stuff that he does,
but he's got a good read on stuff. When it
comes to that seventy thirty thing, right, well, he looks
(03:39):
around and goes, oh wait a minute, here the tides
have turned. I'm not liking what I'm seeing. And I
said yesterday yesterday morning long for everybody heard, I said,
he's not happy. He's pissed at about a lot of
this stuff. The look and in the time of where
everybody lives in a world of perception. The look was
not good, the lies were worse.
Speaker 5 (04:03):
The Trump administration is clearly, I think, feeling some of
the pressure on this. And I asked the White House
Press Secretary yesterday if the President agrees with those characterizations
of Alex Preddy, those accusations that he was a domestic terrorist,
and she said that she hadn't heard the President characterized
mister pretty in that way, So putting some distance between
(04:25):
the President and the language and rhetoric that we were
hearing in the immediate aftermath of this fatal shooting.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Yeah, because they didn't want to be the ones to
come out. There's no defending what they said. I mean,
there isn't. I mean Batya Unger Sargon, who is a
huge Trump supporter, a massive Trump supporter, came out last
night and said no, no, no, What they said was unacceptable.
Speaker 6 (04:53):
I found Secretary nomes comments on Alex Preddy to be
unforgivable of I've heard about this person, suggests that he
was a wonderful human being, and to desecrate the dead
like that utterly, utterly unjustifiable, And I don't see how
a person should be allowed to remain in public service
(05:14):
after lying so blatantly to the American people. Now that said,
it's very clear that the president is on a very
different page. He refused to say that he supports the
Ice agent in the shooting until we have more information.
He wants to know what's on the footage, which I
do as well, and I hope that that gets exposed.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
Yeah, and it has. And yesterday Dropsight News came out
with another angle that others didn't have. And it is
clear that this guy was not going for a gun,
did not have a gun in his hand, did not
brandish or brandish the weapon as and that's a big word,
right to that brandish, Right, that's a crime, your brandishing weapon,
especially the peace officer at a law enforcement officer, that's
(05:56):
a big deal. None of that happened. The people that
are doing everything they can to bend over backwards to
use the FAFO thing, right, you know, blank around and
find out you're fooling yourselves. You're a bunch of clowns.
(06:18):
You're a bunch of clowns in this situation. You are
not winning this argument. Person lost their life and even
leading up to the point where they were on top
of him by the way, when you listen to the audio,
at no point did they say you're under arrest any
of that stuff. At no point did they do any
(06:39):
of that. They were just beating his ass. And then
apparently somebody thought he had a gun, which you can
see clearly that the gun had been removed, and then
they shot him. And her first response when she came
out was well, he's a domestic terrorist. Yeah, that's not
(07:04):
going over. Well, that isn't And then Greg Boveno, right,
just a little guy. He he's been removed as the
field chief out there and sent back to El Centro
because they recognize his tactics aren't working. Then you bring
Tom Homan in, Why is that? Because you needed an
(07:25):
adult in the room. You did, you needed an adulting room.
And Trump could see that. You know, he came into
this with a bit of a mandate, right. The Biden
administration had Jack the Pooch so bad when it came
to immigration, light about it, and in doing so, Trump
(07:47):
had a mandate. And his thing was we're getting rid
of all the bad people. We're throwing everybody out here
that's bad. We're gonna take him into consert, We're gonna
do all of these things, and somewhere along the line
it started to go sideways and you have people dying
in the streets that are American citizens who are protesting,
and are some of the protesters out of control? Yes?
(08:11):
Do they deserve to lose their life?
Speaker 7 (08:14):
No?
Speaker 2 (08:18):
Is this a bad look? Yeah? Are the tides turning
on the numbers when it comes to the polls and
how this looks? Oh, they've spun around in a major way.
So you had that going yesterday and then you had
(08:39):
cash Betel, absolute clown. This guy should be gone just
as much as she Christy Nomes should be gone. When
you say something like.
Speaker 8 (08:46):
This, I guess Christy said. You cannot bring a firearm
loaded with multiple magazines to any sort of protests that
you want. It's that simple. You don't have that right
to break the law and incite violence. We will, of course,
always for tech your First Amendment speech and if you
peacefully protest, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. But
you have seen a trend here, not just in Minnesota,
(09:08):
but across the country in these protests turning into violent
scenarios and people attacking law enforcement. That's when you go
over the line, and that's when law enforcement steps in.
Speaker 2 (09:17):
You're a clown, period, absolute clown. First of all, you've
been useless the entire time. Secondly, and this is very important,
the most important part of this, Yes you can bring
a gun. You can. This guy was a licensed concealed
carry gun owner. He had every right to bring a
(09:43):
gun there, every right. He didn't brandish it, he didn't
do any of that. He had every right to bring
it there. Free speech, you're going to protect that. Settle down.
We'll talk about that a little bit later. But when
it comes to you should he are you kidding me?
(10:04):
That is his uh, that is his right as an American.
That is his right as an American to carry that gun.
And this whole thought of of well he was gonna
take it out and blast away bs that they they
you know, the way that they made it seem like
(10:25):
was such crap. And they got caught and Trump pivoted
and said, yeah, I'm not gonna pay the price for this.
And then you've got cash Mattel, the head of the FBI,
coming out going well you can't bring a good Yes
you can. And I had so many people yesterday. Again
it goes back to stop defending Trump for their bad actions.
(10:53):
They're bad actions, meaning Ice, Greg and Christino in the
way that they handled this cash Betel there has nothing
to do with Trump. Trump's pivot was, these people are
idiots and this is going to cost me. I need
to get rid of him. Tom get down there and
(11:13):
fix this mess. Every right to carry every right, Well
he didn't have a license, says who said. The people
that said he was brandishing his weapon, Well he didn't
have this on him, said who. Again, nobody's buying it anymore.
(11:34):
Nobody is. And Trump's smart enough to go, all right,
we need to pivot on this one. Let me know
what you think. Three two, three, five, three, twenty four

Speaker 1 (13:09):
You're listening to the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (13:12):
Social Media in the spotlight. People are getting their day
in court.
Speaker 9 (13:17):
Now.
Speaker 2 (13:17):
There's over a thousand lawsuits that are out there, but
this is the first time we're going to see a jury.
Oh yeah, a jury when it comes to social media
and addiction and what it does to kids. So buckle up,
kids for the first time.
Speaker 10 (13:35):
TikTok, YouTube, and Meta, the owner of Facebook and Instagram,
they'll face a jury overclaims their platforms are addictive. A
nineteen year old from California brought this lawsuit, claiming the
company's hooked her beginning when she was just ten years
old with features like endless scrolling and frequent notifications. Now,
she claims those features eventually caused a mental health crisis,
(13:56):
leading to depression and suicidal thoughts.
Speaker 2 (13:59):
Now it was designed to be addictive, right, Like that's
just it. Everything now has become gamified. Everything has become gamified.
And what I mean by gamified, go and look at
what the video game industry did. The whole thing was
about achieving. It was about doing other things, you know,
(14:21):
to the next level, Like can I get to the
next level? Can I get to So you have gotten
to the point now where it is all about the
next step, the next, the next, the next. Everything is
gamified and it was built that way, kind of like
the casinos have done, and this is what they have done,
and we've dating is this way investing has become this
(14:42):
everything has become a gamified electronic situation. And so did
they set it up that way? Yes? Did they know
that it was going to be this successful? We can,
but when it comes to mental health and certain things,
(15:04):
let's be honest, you have to take some accountability for
some of the things. Do you know what your kids
are doing? Do you know what your kids are watching?
Do you know what is happening on their devices?
Speaker 10 (15:19):
The tech companies now they say factors offline are responsible
for the plaintiff's personal struggles. Mediceo Mark Zuckerberg is expected
to take the stand at this trial, and one expert
calls this lawsuit a critical test case.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
Yeah, thousand other lawsuits are out there. Everybody is watching now.
Snap last week settled this, but they've chosen to go
and fight this in court, so we will see. This
is definitely a very interesting situation and the ramifications could
(15:56):
be far greater than we realize. Two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four, twenty three at Chad Benton Show Directs your Insta, YouTube, Facebook,
and more. Let me know what you think about this
Right here on the Chad Benton Show, We're going to
talk to our good buddy Mike Lyon's coming up a
little bit when it comes to all things going on
in the military, including what's going on currently in Israel, Iran,
(16:19):
in and around there Hamas. Yesterday, a big situation took
place when it comes to maybe moving to the second phase.
Speaker 11 (16:31):
Returning all the bodies of the hostages was also a
key part of the ceasefire deal that the Trump administration
is now trying to push Israel to move to the
second phase. Of Trump's key negotiators, Steve Wikoff and his
son in law Jared Kushna, are in Israel today. Israel
had also been refusing to open the key Rafa crossing
that connects southern Gaza to Egypt while Villi was missing.
(16:54):
It is now due to open that crossing this week,
So this.
Speaker 2 (16:58):
Will be very interesting to say, see the way that
this played out. I want to get Mike's taken on that,
as well as obviously Ukraine, which is now well not
only claiming they sunk one of the Black Sea Fleets
big ships from the Russians, but the Russians are admitting
they had done it. What's the next phase in this
situation because it's kind of been really quiet, and of
(17:19):
course what's going on with their on which is a
big situation potentially in the Middle East. And then we're
gonna get his take on what's happening in China. Is
a purge going on? Did their biggest general try to
overthrow she We're gonna talk about that and so many
other things. So they're good buddy, Mike Lions. He joins
the program straight ahead Chad Benson shown Chad Benson Show,
(18:01):
The Chad Benson Show. It is that time of the week.
We talk to our good buddy, Michael Lion's best military
analyst in the business, retired Major Mike. I want to
start out with something that nobody's talking about. You know,
we were on it with Venezuela for a long time
and Ron the whole nine yards. But something's going on
in China where they're claiming that there were secret stolen
(18:23):
and sold to the US. And it's like G's biggest
allies word like coup being used in all of this chaos.
Something weird is happening over there, and I'm not quite
sure what it is, but it's it's you know, it's
tend about to you're looking at a situation where their
biggest general, like the guy that maybe the second most
(18:44):
powerful guy, is now locked up, and what the hell's
going on?
Speaker 12 (18:50):
Chad?
Speaker 13 (18:51):
This is an interesting situation We've not seen since she
took power there, and hadn't seen something like this since
the old Soviet Union when Stalin had pursas of the
high ranking individuals, I mean the guy that general's saying
that the individual that is being charged now is a
childhood friend of the president and goes back sixty years
(19:12):
plus and is one of the only few combat veterans
from the nineteen seventy nine war that China had. And
we're still trying to figure out what exactly is going
on from a national security perspective, And it reminds me
a little bit of North Korea, because you know, we
have a lot of information inside of rushing these other places,
but it doesn't seem to me that we know really
(19:33):
what's going on here. But if the story is true
about this general being flipped and giving us secrets. You
talked about a coup for our intelligence agencies and to
have that done, but it possibly could signal that g
wants to go to war right now, and these generals,
from my understanding, did not want to do that. They
(19:54):
didn't want to get their butts kicked by the United States.
That's what they thought was going to happen. As they've
ranked up every they've cranked up all of the exercises
going on there. So keep an eye close on what's
going on. You could see that they're getting away more
from this kind of deterrence and moving towards i'll call
it Grayzoe military activity. The amount of things that are
(20:15):
going on in South Channel Sea on a daily basis
are just escalated, waiting for this potential explosion to take place.
Speaker 2 (20:23):
You know, you talk about going to war. Are they
talking about us squaring off or is it more they
want to go after Taiwan and see exactly what kind
of reaction that we would get, because you know, the
full fledged war again, mutual is your destruction if they're
going to go that far, if we're going to go
with nukes. But is it more of a like he
(20:43):
wants Taiwan because he wants it all to happen on
his watch.
Speaker 12 (20:46):
Ye yeah, I think so.
Speaker 13 (20:49):
I think these leaders recognize their mortality, same with Vladimir
Putin in Ukraine, and recognize that if they don't do
something and it's not going to happen, it's not going
to happen bi osmosis. The threat though, is clear in
that you know that they continue to just ramp up,
make more military equipment, have more exercises. What is being
(21:12):
perceived there, so they're really, you know, signaling, I guess
is the best way to put it, that they're really
going to isolate Taiwan and create create maybe an economic
situation that that'll hurt the rest of the world there.
Speaker 12 (21:24):
But he wants to do something.
Speaker 13 (21:26):
That's looking we thought it was going to be before
twenty twenty seven, but now without these generals gone and
the rift that's taking place there, it's likely going to
be extended further out.
Speaker 2 (21:36):
Talking to my client's military and also we talk about
all things military, let's move to there really quick before
we get to Iran. A few of the other things.
Russia admitted that one of their big black sea fleet
ships was sunk by the Ukrainians that doesn't seem to
be moving the way. Again, I feel like Trump has
kind of just let that ship sailed and let Europe
(21:56):
handle whatever they're going to handle. And even Zelenski said,
you know, you's got to stay up up and take
more of a role because it looks like America is
kind of not doing anything.
Speaker 13 (22:04):
No, they've stepped up the strikes, no question. On the
Ranian cities. It's the dead of winter now too. I think,
you know, every time I look at the pictures coming
back from there, it's a miserable situation on the ground
to be a soldier there. Residential areas in Kiev and
Harkiev are being you know, you know, freezing conditions and
then on top of that getting artillery fire. So the
(22:27):
talks are taking place, I guess in Abu Dhabi, but
but it's not on the ground there.
Speaker 12 (22:31):
Russia still looks at the battlefield calculus and says, we
don't have to do anything.
Speaker 13 (22:35):
We could just we don't really have to negotiate at
this point, and the President still hasn't given the leverage
required for Ukraine to move the needle to get Russia
to stop. So no change, and let's you know the
winners is full and I think from a from a
military perspective, that's that's the challenging thing from the ground
to the soldiers there.
Speaker 2 (22:55):
Talking to my client's military analysts as we talk about
all thanks military, All right, let's move quickly. And obviously
the biggest thing as far as potentially us in some
military play Iran. We you know, Trump put himself in
a in a very poor position. He said, he egged
on the protesters to keep protesting, said you know, help
(23:17):
is coming, and then they said, ah, well they said
they're not you know, executing any more people, So we're fine.
Now we're finding out that they may have killed upwards
of thirty five thousand people. They're telling them to shoot
protesters on the spot. And now we've got our fleets
moving back there. With the no fly zones being put
in by European nations saying hey, do not fly over here.
You got Saudi Arabia cutter and everybody. They're stopping flights
(23:40):
in certain area. It feels like there's going to be
something that goes down. But my question is what exactly
are we going to be able to do right?
Speaker 12 (23:49):
What's the target?
Speaker 13 (23:50):
I do think we'll use the element of surprise, But
I don't know who the military target is. It's you know,
there's no military solutions as that takes on its surface,
makes a regime change go there. But you're seeing the
desperate calls from the citizens of Iran getting out in starlink.
But it also shows that you just can't give them
the Internet and think that they're going to win the war.
(24:11):
It's very similar to what took place in Syria. You know,
the government still controls the weapons and the ministries. The
key to Iran is the Iranian Army, not the Revolutionary Guards.
If the Iranian Army decides to be that on the
side of the citizens there, they have us, they have
a chance, and they would fight against the Revolutionary Guards.
Speaker 12 (24:33):
Would be a brutal civil war.
Speaker 13 (24:35):
And maybe if that's started to happen, and if we're
coordinating with somebody on the ground there from an intel perspective,
we can come up with some targets to hit the
Revolutionary Guards to make them less effective. But there's you know,
we're all looking this as it's nineteen seventy eight again,
and somebody's going to show up on an airplane and
step off it and lead the country. I just think
we're still very far away from that, and we'll see
(25:00):
what the military solution will look like or what the
first strike will look like, but it'll it'll come at
a moment when we probably least expected.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
And you know, you talk about the the solution to
whatever problem there is. You know, it's one thing with Maduro, right,
it was fifty million dollars on his head. The guy
was Nobody was sad to see him go over there,
because everybody says, well, you know, we'll just move into
the new situation. They're already talking to these people like
you know, Rodriguez and everything, but here it's a little
(25:29):
bit different, and this isn't a snatch and grab and
then somebody else is going to take over the week
and work with because there'll just be another you know,
you know, aatola that rolls in there and wants the
same thing. So I don't get the thought process. And
did Trump over do it a little bit when he
drew a red line? And then I feel like we
(25:50):
kind of let those people down and a lot of
people got killed with us saying hey, we're coming and
we don't even know what we're coming for.
Speaker 13 (25:57):
You're right, yeah, I think he likely got out risky's
a little bit and given that that that we weren't
ready to strike when that when it took place, when
he was saying those things, I think he felt that
the pressure internally was going to crumble from within he
was and he just got ahead of the message. And
now that that's not taking place, it looks like, you know,
(26:17):
he can claim he's doing strategic pausing and patients, but
but for the people dying on the ground, that's not
This is not going to cut it. I think, I think,
I think that in an Iran, the Israelis are going
to be the key factor here, and they're intelligent and
FSAD and I've got to think that they've been building
up an intelligence network there. So while the United States
(26:38):
might provide an overall kinetic solution, I think Israel is
providing an infrastructure solution that we just don't know the
details of yet.
Speaker 2 (26:45):
Talking to my client's military and let's we talk about
all things military, let's talk about Israel. They got back,
I guess the last of the bodies yesterday, and now
it's on potentially phase two, but you and I are
still looking around. Go on, Okay, well, Phase two looks
like what because let's say Hamas wants to give up
their weapons today, they're not giving up. They're not worried
(27:06):
at this moment as much about Israel and the IDF
as they are about the other militias inside of there
that may come after them. So are we going to
see anybody else move in to, you know, take over
this quote unquote security of Gaza.
Speaker 12 (27:22):
Haven't seen that leadership yet.
Speaker 13 (27:23):
We've talked about Turkey could be that independent in the
dispensable nation, Indonesia, Egypt as well, and it looks like
it will remain a no man's land. I know Jared
Kushner already has the plans for Beachfront properties, and this
Committee of Peace or whatever that they put together, which
you know, is trying to take NATO's place. Maybe NATO
should have had this job from the very beginning. That
(27:45):
would have been interesting. It would have given that organization
a lot more of a mission. But there's still no
legitimate force security force that will actually make sure that
there's peace taking place on the ground and force any
kind of ceasefire. And Hamas still refuses to give up
the ministries and give up their weapons. So we're still
(28:05):
remaining a stalemate there and Israel is just going to
wait this thing out for a few more months.
Speaker 12 (28:09):
Sites I suspect, what.
Speaker 2 (28:11):
Do you I mean the I saw the the you know,
the plans for everything, and they're like, oh, you know,
the Palestinians are going to love what's going to go on.
I'm like, there's nobody, no Palestinians living in any of
those places. You're going to move them out and then
you're going to be back in the same position, except
you're gonna have nicer houses with people potentially you know,
going You took our land, you put up beachfront condos.
(28:34):
Why shouldn't we be pissed?
Speaker 13 (28:35):
Yeah, there's there's not They're all, you know, we'll move
east into the desert, right, They're going to control that
nice real estate that will exist along the Mediterranean for sure,
as they build, likely from the outside in. Let's say,
Israel did try over the past twenty years to give
settlements to some of those the Palestinians that were there,
but but it's you know, having been isolated since two
(28:57):
thousand and five and what Hamas did inside of Gaza,
it's really its own fault. And you know, whether Israel
does that again, has the wealth. We'll see what happens.
There's not it's there's not that many people. I guess
there's totally two million Palestinians, but at this point a
lot of those are not They're not going to be
able to return back to their homes and and they'll
(29:18):
be a disbursement of specifically, and they will they'll travel
without a homeland and that will eventually create another problem
in fifty years.
Speaker 2 (29:24):
Improve all right, Micha, last question. It's a big doings
anything this week that we're going to see that, you
know in Iran, Because I feel like if there's going
to be something you think your gut telling you it's
it's going to happen in the next ten days, there
could be something.
Speaker 13 (29:41):
It is I think I think it is, and I
don't usually like to go out in a limb like that.
But we've got all the pieces in place.
Speaker 4 (29:46):
Now.
Speaker 13 (29:47):
This is kind of you know, Independence Day where it
took us a while to get the carrier there, and
they'll they'll they'll have some military targets. Whether that will
help this, uh the citizens there, and whether the Iranian
army will use that as a way to tip over
the Revolutionary Guards. Remains to be seen, but there's there's
already a disaster taking place, a humanitarian disaster in Tehran
(30:07):
because of lack of water. I'm sure you're familiar with that.
The infrastructure there is already crumbling. Toronto and Arons a
smart country and it has so much potential. I would
love nothing more to see it solved in our lifetimes.
It's because it's been the number one foreign policy failure
in our lifetimes, for for example, since since World War Two,
and it would be it would be tremendous that we
can get this country into the International League of Nations,
(30:31):
and right now might be the time.
Speaker 2 (30:32):
Are any of our bases they're a threat, I mean,
you know, being hit.
Speaker 12 (30:37):
Yeah, I think so.
Speaker 13 (30:38):
I think in in Qatar, in in in the Middle East,
they in Israel as well.
Speaker 12 (30:44):
I think that's that's what they have.
Speaker 13 (30:46):
They've moved a lot of their missile capability done mobile platforms.
Speaker 12 (30:52):
Now, you know, the Israelis are on high alert.
Speaker 13 (30:54):
This is causing Israel economic pressure because they have to
stay on high alert the whole time as well as
as there means will strike back if there is some
kind of attack.
Speaker 12 (31:03):
We saw it, look and we saw.
Speaker 13 (31:04):
When when even when Israel went and struck with a
big blow, they came back with over two thousand rockets.
They have capability and we're not going to get at
all on the first strike, which I think is likely
what's making the military targeting very challenging. If we're going
to go after their capability, we're going to go after
it big, and we're going to go after it in
places where it will really hurt for them to try
(31:26):
to retaliate.
Speaker 2 (31:27):
Is it's my client's retired major. Best damn military analysts
in the business. Always appreciate you having on. We'll do
it again next week.
Speaker 12 (31:32):
Chat sounds good, look forward to it.
Speaker 2 (31:34):
Love talking to Mike. He's awesome. And again I think
something's going to go down too. I just don't know
what the strategy is going to be in Iran, because
it's one thing to snatch and grab Maduro. It's another
thing when you have nobody you think is going to
be able to come in and do anything and work
with us in the israelis three two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four to twenty three at she had Bensachow is
(31:55):

as feratrol cusam in the current, all the stuff. It
supports the body's inflammatory response from a different metabolic pathway.

ways you cannot believe. With your muscles, with your joints.

They are on the march. Ever's talking about war and
whatnot with our buddy Mike Lyons. And we love having
him on because he gives us this rat skinny and
what's happening. But you know what else, we need to
talk about peace. And the monks are on their march.
Where are they headed?
Speaker 12 (33:44):
As quickly as you.
Speaker 15 (33:45):
Can snack the pebble from my hand, when you could
take the pebble from my hand, it would be time

Speaker 2 (33:51):
To be Now it's time for your daily Monk March update.
Time for you to leave, all right? Today the monks
took off just a bit ago, so they are on
their way from Lewisburg, North Carolina. It's day ninety four.
They're headed towards Warrenton, which I think is Virginia. That
(34:15):
is a long walk. They're not going to make it
all today. If I'm correct, I think it's like three
hundred plus miles, So the walk is far, grasshopper, and
to get to where you need to go, you must
do it one step at a time, and that's exactly
what they're doing, so God bless them for that. And
(34:39):
if you want to know what the weather is like,
it's cold. They are bundled up when I last saw
them but a little while ago, because they of course
have cameras on them, they are all bundled up big time.
And yes, all of them have giant what seems to
be bug boots on as they start their walk today,
(35:01):
so we'll be keeping an eye on them as they
continue to march for peace headed towards d C, which
is awesome. Three two three, five, three eight twenty four

out right here on the Chad Benson Show Coming up,
our number two of the program, TikTok, What are you
(35:43):
doing when it comes to I don't know, free speech?
Now that the Americans are running it feels a little weird.
We're gonna talk a little bit about that. More on Minnesota.
What is going on there, the chaos that is happening there,
and there is more chaos, but a lot of this
chaos now is shifting to the administration in particular the
(36:03):
powers that be that we're running this and how pissed
is Trump. We'll talk a bit about that. Bunch of
other good stuff on the way, including your Urban Word
of the day, Like I say, reach out to uscross
all of our social media. If you have a chance,
check out our YouTube like and subscribe their Our number
two of the Chad Benson Show. Straight ahead.
Speaker 1 (36:23):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
You want to fix immigration, There's a few things you
can do, but it would be uncomfortable. Now where do
we start. Let's start with number one. This is just
a fun one one I've talked about for years. One
that Greg Gabbott kind of put in place when he
said I'm just gonna ship everybody's sanctuary cities, which everybody
(37:18):
thought was a bit of a stunt, including myself, and
I'm sure at some point he thought, Ah, this isn't
gonna work the way that many people think it's gonna
you know, maybe we'd like it to work. And lo
and behold, it did, and then that caused the chaos.
You know in New York. Everybody's like, just give us fine,
bring everybody here. You even got mayor Adams out there
at the time talking about bringing everybody here will be fine.
(37:40):
Next thing you know, they're like, we're gonna go broke, right.
Kathy Oakle's like, we can't take any more people's knob
setting us. So, if if that's what you're interested, you
want to be a sanctuary city and state, the only
safe place you can go to is sanctuary cities and states.
If you're outside of those, you're in trouble and you
(38:04):
can never apply to come back in here again. They
cannot use whatever money they use, whether it's federal money
that was sent there, they put it into the states
or cities callfers and they take that money and hand
it out. You know what, that's a you thing. And
if you guys go bankrupt. That's on you, right, put
your money where their mouth is and see if that's
something that you're interested in. Now, do I think they'll
(38:26):
do that?
Speaker 16 (38:27):
I do not.
Speaker 2 (38:29):
I do not think they'll do that. So what's the
next thing. Well, how about if we're serious again, where
are the employers that are facing some serious loss of
potential workers? Right if you go in there and you say, hey,
(38:54):
we're going to start cleaning house. Now, Trump did it
in the administration. They pulled back a little bit on it,
a little worry about the look, especially when it came
to the Hundai factory and all that stuff that that
did not South Korea was not happy about that. And
you know, we're trying to get people to come here
in the whole nine yards and invest in business. Da
(39:15):
da YadA YadA. But I'm serious, right, Like, if we
go after businesses and we go hard after businesses, let
me tell you what happens. People would rather be broken
poor in their country than struggling here. Oh oh, and
here's another one. Readmittance. Now, re emittance is interesting. So
(39:40):
if we know what that is, you know, you know
we always talk about booty call putting a ring on it.
So how many people are here for a booty call.
They're from a different country, and their goal is to
make money, send it back to their home, and eventually
return home. If time's improved there, that's eventually their goal.
(40:01):
They're not here to put a ring on it. They're
not into long term. Okay, we're not into a long
term relationship.
Speaker 16 (40:09):
So what do they do?
Speaker 2 (40:10):
They send money home? They re emittance right, So why
don't we start taxing readmittance fifty one hundred percent. You
send a hundred bucks, We're going to tax you one
hundred bucks. It cost you two hundred bucks. What does
that do? First of all, these economies, many of them
like Mexico, that rely on that money, would start to struggle.
(40:31):
People would start to see it isn't worth it because
I'm not doing what I need to do money wise
to send it back to my family. The end of
the day, you're going broke here. Where would you rather
be broke? You'd rather be broke in your home where
you have people that can help you, rather than they
(40:52):
bean broke here. Again, thinking outside the box, I mean
when I live in a different country before I had
to pay taxes here in America, even though I didn't
make money here, you have to pay a certain amount.
I mean, there's so why not, right? Why not just
(41:13):
to give you a idea of how big re emittance
is to in particular South American and Central American countries,
I'll start with Mexico. It is about four percent of
their GDP. What yeah, yeah, four percent. It would hit
them hard. El Salvador readmittance twenty four percent of their
(41:36):
GDP twenty four percent. Here's the reality. You hit them
with that, and then what they start making out of
the decisions. Yes, they could try to go underground, crypto
things of that nature, but it would be way tougher
for them. So you hit them in that area when
(41:56):
you start going after them. If you're serious the business
owners by saying, look, if somebody has gotten through the system,
that's the system's fault. You don't hold somebody accountable. You
hire forty people, of which twenty of them are here illegally.
You don't just find them. You shut their business down
(42:17):
for X amount of weeks. You do it a couple times,
and you're done. See when you start going in that direction,
guess what happens? People will figure out, well, we can't
do this anymore, We're gonna have to try something else
because this isn't going to work again if we're trying
to get serious about this, and we're not, because so
(42:38):
much of everything is performative and the goal is let's
get all the bad people out of here. We recognize that,
and then what do we do with the rest? What
do we do with the rest of the people that
are here that haven't done anything, that have lived in
their communities for tens and twenty plus years and have
added to the community. What do we do with them?
(43:00):
So let's think outside the box what we do here
in the Chad Benson Show and figure it out. Don't
you think this is something we should be looking at
because I hear all the time about we're going to
fix this, and we're gonna do this, and we're going
to fix and nobody ever does. Why is that because
money and power when it comes to the issue, right,
(43:21):
this was a cue. If you don't think that's true.
Trump's driving, absolute driving issue was immigration, illegal immigration, building
the wall, making Mexico pay for it, all of those things.
You guys, remember that. It's a massive driving issue for Trump,
(43:46):
the issue that lost Biden. Besides the fact that. Let's
be real, he wasn't all there, which we recognize, and
inflation was unfettered access that he gave everybody in the
world to the United States. So we guess this is
an issue that's big enough to sway for sure, which
(44:11):
is also why they don't like letting it go, because
the money's too big and the opportunity to raise that money,
demonize the other side, and potentially get yourself elected. Well,
I mean, as I've been saying, they already lost the
abortion issue right to the States. They don't want to
lose this one three, two, three, five, three, eight, twenty
four to twenty three act. She had Benson show is
your acts, your insta, YouTube, Facebook, and more, Whether outside
(44:37):
is nasty, We've talked about it. Please please, please please
don't be an idiot. I don't know how many times
you have to say that, but we just want to
make sure that you guys understand, don't be an idiot.
The death hole has climbed and will probably continue to
do so because while the I think the harsh side
of what has happened, as far as the snow and whatnot,
(44:58):
is gone, the reality is the cold is still here,
and with that cold brings the black ice and danger.
Speaker 17 (45:06):
At least thirty people killed across eleven states. The small
city of Bottom, Texas mourning the loss of three siblings
who drown in an icy pond, the school superintendent saying, quote,
we are devastated by this unimaginable loss.
Speaker 2 (45:20):
Yeah, and there were several that have died from hypothermia.
There's just a lot of issues out there when it
comes to this weather still and how nasty it is
in certain areas, and there's a chance it's another cold
snap behind it. We'll talk about that a little bit later,
but we just want to keep you abreast of all
the things going on, my friends, of all the things
(45:40):
going on. So yesterday, as we talked about immigration, Trump pivoted.
Because he is a lot of things. He says stuff
off the cuff. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes
it's ridiculous. But it's gone quickly because we're onto something else.
(46:06):
But he figured out yesterday, oh no, no, no, we
can't have what happened in Minnesota. That can't be it, right.
So Greg Bovino's gone gone. So he was a guy
running everything in you know, as a chief on the
ground there for the border patrol and for ice. He's gone.
(46:26):
He's back to El Centro. By the way, if you've
never been to El Central, wow, So he's out of there.
I'm assuming nomes days are becoming more and more numbered.
I think the look this weekend and the going out
there and telling you know, everybody off the cuff that
(46:49):
this was a terrorist who's brandishing a weapon and YadA, YadA, YadA.
That did not sit well with the administration. But I
told you guys that yesterday, and that's why he's brought
in Tom Holman to sort this out. After talking with
both Frey it's Frey or Fry the Fry the mayor,
(47:10):
and Tim Walls that yeah, we got to make a
change here.
Speaker 16 (47:14):
We do.
Speaker 2 (47:15):
So that's interesting. But he, you know, it wasn't the
is he not changed, Whether or not you're going to
be able to to that. We shouldn't want people to
be deported if they're bad or this any but the
look of Americans dying on the streets and the way
that this happened didn't sit well with a lot of people,
(47:35):
including many Republicans, who said, yeah, this not only was
it uncomfortable, the tone itself is turning folks off.
Speaker 18 (47:44):
Think the administration could do better. Is the tone with
which they're describing this, that that immediately when an incident
like this happens, they come out guns blazing that that
we took out a violet terrorist, hooray, so.
Speaker 2 (48:02):
Without any kind of evidence for any of that stuff.
And then they slowly change their tomb but by then
the damage has been done, because what does it look
like you're telling lies? You're brandishing Americans terrorist when you
had no idea anything about this guy other than we
needed to protect our guys. Well, guess what it's going
(48:25):
to cost you? And Trump realized that three two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson Show, Jreks
your install of More on the Weather coming up in

among other things.
Speaker 1 (49:37):
Chad Benta, Joe, you're listening to the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (49:50):
Love getting texts messages from you guys, and obviously a
lot of the conversation around the killing this past weekend.
You know, some people are saying, oh, Chad, this this
is where's Anne Frank's house? This was murder. I don't
(50:11):
know if you can classify it as murder, but unjustifiable. Yes,
the whole thing to me is ridiculous in the way
that so much of this stuff is being handled. Okay,
I am a big, big believer that politics, for the
most part anymore is performative. I mean, that's just the
(50:35):
reality of it, and we're seeing more and more of that.
Or Buddy Phil from Oregon text and said, hey, the
alex pretty shoot, from what I can see, is definitely
avoidable and not a justifiable action on behalf of the
ICE agents. I agree. Again, I am not here to
(50:57):
tell everybody that somehow because I I've seen, you know,
people are twisting themselves up to make this some sort
of justifiable situation. It wasn't it wasn't it just it.
There's nothing about this. I mean, every drop site's got
a new video out Drop Site News, which is great
(51:20):
for you. Go check them out where you can see
that from another angle that you haven't seen. Look, this
was not justifiable, and the lies that they told it's embarrassing.
It's a bad look. Hence the reason Trump has done
what he's done. Which is pull people out saying right,
(51:42):
we've had enough, which is completely understandable. He's great at
those you know, seventy thirty issues, and he doesn't have
that mandate right now from the people. People are pissed.
They're not happy about the way this has gone down.
The look is not good. And whether people want to
(52:04):
believe perception is reality. If you're going to make everything performative,
people are going to go off the performative nature of things.
If you want the perception to be reality that you shaped,
which is everybody they're going after is a child, you know, molester,
and that you're gonna make everything this this big grand thing.
(52:30):
Guess what You're gonna run into a serious issue when
that perception changes and everybody goes, yeah, I'm not buying
that anymore. Let me know what you think. Three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four, twenty three at Chad Benson Show.
Is your extra Insta, YouTube, Facebook and more love hearing
from all of you right here on the Chad Benson Show. Meanwhile,
(52:51):
the winter is still doing wintery things, a quieter.
Speaker 3 (52:53):
Whether mapp in the wake of our big storm. It's
nicest in the Southwest. Coun The some showers in the northwest.
Later in the day, blustery and cold from the Great
Lakes into the northeast, and cool weather all the way
down to Florida. In fact, we have cold weather advisories
all the way from Dallas to Troy, Pittsburgh to Panama City.
Speaker 2 (53:09):
That's going to go into this morning.
Speaker 3 (53:10):
We'd see these Tuesday morning windshills that are sub zero
all the way down a little rock in fact, fills
like twenty eight in Orlando and two below in New
York City.
Speaker 2 (53:19):
That's cold. I was talking to my buddy yesterday, she's
up in New York, and her and her husband said,
it is cold, very very cold. Even for them. There's
a certain chill that they feel, and it's yeah, I
get it.
Speaker 16 (53:38):
I get it.
Speaker 2 (53:39):
Next couple days it's going to be like this. I
walked to work yesterday because you know, that's what I do.
And first my wife's like, you got to put pants on.
You can't wear shorts. I'm like whatever, So I did.
I put two pairs on. She maybe put like these
long john things on underneath, and I walked to work.
The roads. We were very treacherous, but walking because it
(54:03):
was a beautiful day. But I will tell you what.
Damn so slippery out there. Be careful people, Be careful
where you're walking is black ice as well? Three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four to twenty three Act Chad Benson
shows your ext your Insta, YouTube and more.
Speaker 14 (54:17):
This is the Chad Benson Show, An Chad Benson Show,
(54:40):
The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (54:42):
So TikTok's got a new owner and people aren't happy.
I'm gonna be undreshonest with you right now. I'm not
happy with it if you criticize anything that it seems
to be may upset a a certain country and or
(55:02):
an administration here. It seems that nothing gets posted and
you're like, it's only been a few days. Yeah, I know.
So last night I did my video. You go check
it out on YouTube. And when I do the shorts,
I can post them all to one thing. Okay, so
all to one thing as far as just one quick
(55:24):
click of the button. So it goes to you know, Insta,
and it goes to the you know YouTube and TikTok
or Twitter and whatever. Guess what, No, it told me no, sorry,
we can't post this video. What do you think something's
going on? I'm really at the point of deleting this app.
Speaker 1 (55:43):
TikTok is censoring us.
Speaker 16 (55:44):
Let me show you the censorship.
Speaker 19 (55:45):
Let me just show you tonight, some TikTokers threatening to
stop the scroll.
Speaker 20 (55:49):
We are posting factual political information and they are censoring
our content.
Speaker 19 (55:55):
Alleging the app is suppressing videos about the fatal shootings
in Minneapolis.
Speaker 2 (56:00):
TikTok usa is broken.
Speaker 19 (56:01):
Aaron Parness, a political content creator, showing one video he
posted that appeared to receive more than two hundred comments
but listed zero views.
Speaker 2 (56:10):
Couldn't post, couldn't see it.
Speaker 19 (56:12):
Democratic Senator Chris Murphy also among those calling out the app.
Speaker 1 (56:15):
Singer Billie Eilish too.
Speaker 4 (56:17):
I find it very interesting that this is the video
that is going to get blocked.
Speaker 2 (56:24):
Yeah. Now, I'm gonna tell you guys this. I don't
post much on TikTok, but you know, minor get one
thousand plus views, zero views, two views. It's ridiculous. You
can't tell me that this is just a glitch. Come on.
Speaker 19 (56:49):
But the issues appeared to extend beyond videos about ice.
People flooding social media, complaining about everything from problems with
the main for you page and commenting, to complication editing
and posting the company blaming disruptions on a power outage,
writing we're working with our data center partner to stabilize
our service. NBC News reached out to TikTok about specific
(57:10):
allegations of censorship, and the company said all issues stem
from the outage.
Speaker 2 (57:15):
It looks like we have to rebuild our fyps. Yeah.
On top of that Epstein been issues there with that
anything by the way, not even anything critical over Israel,
any mention of you know, hey, I don't think Israel,
(57:35):
you know, should be blowing up a bunch of kids
in Palestine, you know. And this was from several weeks ago.
Stuff just slowly started to your views, your likes, all
that stuff just dissipated. And the lady running this you know,
monitoring section now she's a former IDF soldier. So you know,
there you go. You can't help but wonder what the
(57:58):
hell is going on? Think it's a fair question.
Speaker 19 (58:01):
But it all comes just days after the US and
China reached a deal passing control of TikTok's US operations
to a group of investors backed by President Trump.
Speaker 21 (58:10):
It's a lot of things happening all at once. We
don't have any insight into how they're changing or moving
or justing. Could be bad timing, could be by design.
Speaker 1 (58:20):
We really don't know, but many users remain skeptical. I
am deleting all of my videos from TikTok.
Speaker 19 (58:28):
A rocky start as TikTok enters a new US chapter
with millions watching.
Speaker 2 (58:33):
If it's not broke, don't fix it, And I feel
like they're going to overcorrect in certain situations. And people say, well,
why would they care about, you know, this administration any
of that stuff, because they do. Right, You got Ellison
and all of these people, pals with Trump, all of
these people, and he gives them the aok to go forward,
and they approve all of this stuff. That is why
go look at the board of who's on TikTok and
(58:56):
the amount of money they have donated to Trump, the
admittstrations you know, in some way, shape or form, the
contracts they've gotten with them. Yeah, there's some serious issues
here and I have a feeling that this isn't going
to change any time soon. Let me know if you're
having any issues. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty
four to twenty three at Chad Benson shows your acts,
(59:16):
your insta YouTube and more. Let's pivot from there to
app staining. What's that app app staining? Oh? Instead of
you know, I'm abstaining from no, no, no, this is
app staining getting away from the chaos and the craziness
and the amount of hours which if we all really
took a snapshot of how many hours we waste, oh
(59:40):
my god, we could all use.
Speaker 4 (59:42):
Getting off this, you might be forced into unplugging at
a resort.
Speaker 6 (59:46):
Well, we don't actually have Wi Fi in the villas.
Speaker 16 (59:49):
What no Wi Fi?
Speaker 2 (59:50):
Yeah, we consider the hotel to be a digital detox
area or in the woods. Talk about all the things
you do on those screens and let the words just
flow way under the fresh air.
Speaker 4 (01:00:01):
And now the phone fatigued are saying it's time to
disconnect in daily life too, I'm addicted to my phone.
Speaker 2 (01:00:08):
I'm getting more and more.
Speaker 1 (01:00:09):
I rewelded the most scat lately. I've been uns strolling
and I had to come.
Speaker 21 (01:00:13):
To my assists.
Speaker 4 (01:00:14):
As thirty three percent of people said reducing screen time
was their number one New Year's resolution, topping even weight loss.
Americans spend an average five hours a day on their screens.
Speaker 1 (01:00:26):
That's over thirty percent of the time you're awake.
Speaker 22 (01:00:29):
If you're chronically online and kind of hate it, this
is for you.
Speaker 4 (01:00:32):
Olivia Yocabonis works for Open, an app that limits the
time you spend on other apps. The company's wrapped up
millions of downloads and noticed a bump after New Year's.
Speaker 2 (01:00:43):
I'm going to say this, I am guilty of this. Now.
A lot of that is my job. Uh, but I
am so guilty of being on crap way too long
that I shouldn't be on. You know, whether it's goof
around on TikTok watching you know, you bed soccer videos
or you know the it's and you know for like Twitter, right,
(01:01:06):
it's a great place to go for news. It's fast, independent,
But a lot of the other stuff is it's just
really it's just the doom scrolling side of stuff. This
you're addicted to the thirty sixty seconds of you know,
somebody telling a story about some that you're never going
to meet this person, Why do you care? Right that
(01:01:26):
her mother in law's mad at her.
Speaker 1 (01:01:28):
People are tired of losing time.
Speaker 8 (01:01:30):
They're tired of realizing after a long day that they
have not spent time with their families or spent time
in their hobbies.
Speaker 4 (01:01:38):
Ironically, she's cultivated a large following on social media as
an anti doom scrolling influencer.
Speaker 1 (01:01:45):
This person spent forty hours on social media last week.
Speaker 12 (01:01:48):
That is a full time job with no benefits.
Speaker 1 (01:01:51):
And no PTO.
Speaker 4 (01:01:52):
There are companies incorporating a physical aspect to this too,
like Brick, where you literally have to tap a device
to block yourself from getting into certain app until you're
ready to tap it again, which will allow you to
get back in.
Speaker 16 (01:02:03):
I'm on a twenty one day Rick, essentially like a fast.
Speaker 2 (01:02:10):
Yeah, I think I could go for that, you know, outside.
But I've always said this about the if I didn't
have this job, would I be on any of these things?
And I don't know that I would outside of keeping
(01:02:32):
some some friends, you know, and talking to them, I
don't think I would. I don't you know. I might
keep Install, I might, I don't think. I don't know
if i'd keep TikTok, And especially with the way TikTok's
going right now, I'm not quite sure I keep it.
And the other side of it is I doubt i'd
(01:02:52):
keep Twitter because I think Twitter is just as good
as it is for the news. It is also so
all full. I've stopped posting there too, because I've been
shadow band for such a long time. I mean, you know,
I don't know. I have like eleven thousand followers, and
I can go online and I could post something and
(01:03:12):
maybe get twenty people to see it, and I just
find it bizarre that that happens. I'll get new followers
that I know are listening every day, and then when
I post something, nothing happens and they're not getting They'll say,
I've never even seen half your stuff. If I see
any of it, I get it.
Speaker 4 (01:03:31):
Twenty three year old Connor Belsby using Brick as part
of a cleanse to start the year. So tell me
about your relationship with your phone and social media.
Speaker 16 (01:03:40):
Before I got Brick, it was definitely a bit more unconscious,
not really being intentional about what I'm watching or even
what I'm doing. And that's when I realized this is
just not good for my mental or just just life
in general. Why not just deleat the apps? Actually a
(01:04:00):
conversation I've had a lot this week with different people.
You completely delete it, then you're fully unattached, unaware of everything, and.
Speaker 2 (01:04:07):
You can't have that. I mean it's finding that balance,
that middle ground. You can't completely delete the apps, and
that includes, you know, the Internet and all of these
kind of things, because you do want to be somewhat
aware of what's happening, right and engage with your friends
and stuff like that. At the same time, it is,
(01:04:31):
you know, for every maybe half an hour of fun
and maybe some useful stuff you can get on there,
you spend another hour and a half wasting time. And
I'm holding my hand up. I'm as guilty as anybody.
Speaker 4 (01:04:43):
The ultimate abstinence going with a dumb phone, with some
turning to strip down phones like light phones for the
basics calls, texts, and photos, others resurrecting those flip phones
for a nostalgic factor too.
Speaker 2 (01:04:57):
This is the best thing you've ever purchased. Us fooling,
this brings me.
Speaker 4 (01:05:03):
Experts say the results can be transformative, with digital detoxing
leading to healthier minds and bodies.
Speaker 18 (01:05:09):
People felt happier, were more attentive, and did a lot
of other things like exercise and reading more.
Speaker 2 (01:05:17):
Oh yeah, yeah, gotta do that. And it's so good
for you. When you're not on these things, you feel
so much better. You do now you do feel out
of the loop at times. I'm not gonna lie to you.
You do you like I feel it? But this has
so many good benefits for your mind. And there's and
(01:05:41):
and let's be real, we choose it, we do it.
TikTok's there, Instance there, Facebook's there, All of them are there.
We choose to go on those things. So to just
blame them for the sake of blaming them is not good.
And we've talked about it earlier today with the big
(01:06:03):
lawsuit you know that's going on the first time there's
going to be a trial where there's going to be
a jury trial for Facebook and Meta and TikTok about
you know the addiction that this person who is I
think fifteen or so says that they got to dick
that ten and this is the first jury trial. Snap
they they settled a week or two ago. So this
(01:06:27):
whole thing again, like I said, go, look, I don't
know how many of you I'd love to know you
send me. You can send me a text three two, three, five, three, eight,
twenty four to twenty three or hilariously enough, you know
at Chad Benson show on the Twitter, how many hours
a week do you get that thing that little report
at the end of the week that tells you how
many hours a week did you wasted.
Speaker 4 (01:06:46):
Now, these apps, which can cost money, aren't entirely fool proof.
You can always delete the app to get back in.
But guys, the idea here is really for it to
be a speed bomb. Another way for you to think, Eh,
before I get into this app, I'm actually blocked from it.
You can override it if you really wanted to, but
it is like, do you really need to be scrolling there?
It's basically like a speed bump.
Speaker 2 (01:07:03):
Yes, but a speed bump you can go over. Let
me know what you think. Tweet atis you can text
the program too. I love hearing from all of you.
Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four to twenty
three at Chad Benson Show. That is your actual install, YouTube,
Facebook and all the other stuff. If you have any chance.
Grammar Podcast too helps us out. Prize Picks is amazing.
(01:07:24):
They're incredible. Prize Picks is America's number one fantasy sports app.
So what is it? Let me break it down for you.
Prize Picks is an app where you pick a lineup
based on two more players than they're projected stats and
it could be any sport from cricket. I'm not on lying.
They got cricket, soccer, they got that football, they got
that soon to be baseball, coming up, hockey, basketball, And
(01:07:47):
you're choosing more or less based on their projected stats.
All right, you set a lineup of two or more
and away you can go. You went up to two
thousand times your money. On top of that, they've got
great things like Taco Tuesday, early payouts even before the
game is over. They get injury resets, stacks, and so
much more. I want you to download the app today.
(01:08:07):
So many great opportunities in front of you. And this
is what you do. You download the app and use
my code Chad. Now, when you use my code Chad,
you're gonna get instantly in your account fifty dollars in
lineups when you play your first five dollars lineup. So
go download the Prize Picks app today. Use my code Chad.
When you play your first five dollars lineup, you get
fifty dollars in lineups immediately into your account. Win are
(01:08:28):
loose guaranteed Prize Picks. It's good to be right. Coming
up your urban word of the day interesting somebody text
me about the urban word because they were mad about
my Ted Cruz thing from the other day, and they
text me back against yesterday. We'll talk a bit about that,
among other things. Straight ahead, Chad Benson, Joe.
Speaker 1 (01:08:55):
Running with scissors sounds great compared to this, say.
Speaker 2 (01:09:01):
In that portion of the program where we have a
little bit of fun learning, Yes, our second language. If
you don't already know several languages, this language happens to
be the youth, the gen Z, the Genalva, even some
of the millennials. And I got a good one for
you today, I do do. Let's get to it without
further ado. Now it's time for the urban word.
Speaker 16 (01:09:24):
Of the day.
Speaker 2 (01:09:25):
The young have a vocabulary all their own, and we
break it down for you. It's called the urban word
of the day. All right, This one's awesome bronown instead
of pronoun bronown. Oh so it's using bro as a pronoun.
(01:09:49):
Bro is astronomical, bro heavy. See where we're going with this, bronout.
Stop abusing the bronoun. That's brotacular, you do, though, so
don't do it grow down. I love it. It's your
urban word of the day. That was the urban word
(01:10:09):
of the day, now, you know. So yesterday I was
going back and forth text because I made fun of
Ted Cruz. You know, the other day I said, one
of the urban word of the day happened to be
fled cruise because he was in California and he was
out there and while all this was going on, you know,
the winter storm was getting ready to hit, and obviously
(01:10:31):
we knew what happened when he went to where'd he go?
Did he go to Cabo? And did you go to Cabo?
Is that where you went to Cabo? In back in
the giant storm? Remember that? So I said fled cruise.
And so a Texterter text in and he said, you
know you do to make fun of Karen Bass. Well,
I said, look, I made fun of Karen Bass for
for a very long time, even before the fires. I
(01:10:54):
made fun of Karen Bass, and I will continue to
do so because she's arguably the worst mayor in America,
especially of a big city. There is hard to find somebody,
you know, I mean, and trust me, look as bad
as everybody says Mondannie is, he's really not allowed to
do over at Karen Bass. It's a tough one right there.
Right overall, what's his name in Chicago, Brandon Johnson. Yeah,
(01:11:20):
but the texture he goes, I've got one for you,
bass Hat, I said, Ah, I said, here's one incompetent.
That's a good one. See the reason I got mad
at Ted and a lot of people did, is because
Ted knows better. Right, we expect more out of you.
You get more upset with people you expect more out
(01:11:41):
of than people that you go you know it is Look,
look look who it is, right, I expect this from you.
But people that you expect more out of, like the
guy who wants to be president, Ted Cruz, he expects
more out of him. And when they don't do it, eh,
this is why you're gonna get hammered for it. Let
(01:12:02):
me know what you think. Three two, three, five, three eight,
twenty four, twenty three at Chad Benson Show. I'm sure
x you're insta YouTube and more check out a YouTube.
Love hearing from all of you right here in the
Chad Benson Show. Coming up our number three of the program.
A lot of good stuff to get to. Still more
(01:12:22):
on what's going on in Minneapolis, but immigration across the board.
Obviously we've been talking about a lot today. Ever buddy
Mike Lions Military analy's going to join the program. Interesting
story coming out of China that we're gonna hit him
up about. That isn't being talked about. You know, words
like coup and stuff are thrown around when it comes
to g and it's very interesting to see what's going
(01:12:45):
on there. We're gonna ask him too. Are we expecting
a potential strike on Iran? Coming up soon? We got
what's trending. We're gonna find out what the monks are
up to. Is their march for peace continues? So many
good things straight ahead. Our number three of the program,
Chad Benone.
Speaker 1 (01:13:01):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (01:13:32):
Is this the biggest trial since tobacco? That's what a
lot of people are saying. And it is a massive trial.
It's something we all do social media and it kicks
off today and this is going to be interesting. This
is a huge trial. The implications are massive.
Speaker 23 (01:13:54):
This is a Bellweather case because for the first time ever,
a jury will get to decide if social media companies
are responsible not for what users post, but for allegedly
deliberately changing their platforms in these algorithms to get users
hooked and the world is going to be watching this
trial today that takes place in Los Angeles. As it
(01:14:15):
kicks off, A nineteen year old and her mother are
suing TikTok, Meta and YouTube, claiming they deliberately designed addictive
features that destroyed.
Speaker 2 (01:14:24):
Her mental health.
Speaker 23 (01:14:25):
Heavy hitters are expected to take the stand in this
trial too, including Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
Speaker 2 (01:14:30):
What yeah, it's how big? This trial is massive? Massive trial.
We all use social media, we all do. We talked
about it last hour, you know, trying to get off
the apps and the insanity that we How many hours
a week do we spend? Why do we do that?
Are we addicted to it? Yes? Absolutely, we're addicted to it.
(01:14:52):
It was designed to be addictive. Now did they Is
it the app or the when it comes to a
portion of the addiction. Secondly, it's a big deal, is it?
The issue is are you struggling because of the app?
(01:15:18):
Or are you struggling because you'd be struggling if there
wasn't social media. Now, the tech giants, they are fighting back.
Speaker 23 (01:15:24):
They're claiming it's the content that users post that causes
this harm, not their platform designs. They also insist that
they've rolled out many safety tools like teen accounts and
scroll blocking features as well. But this could set a
precedent for more than a thousand plus cases that are
similarly going on across the country. And if these social
media companies lose, it could cost them billions of dollars.
Speaker 2 (01:15:48):
And we all like our free stuff. Again, there's a thousand,
one thousand lawsuits waiting out there, thousand, but this is
the first one that's going to get a trial now,
so you get meta TikTok into all of these ones
in there. At one time there was another group and
(01:16:12):
we'll talk about that in a second. But the question
is can you convince a jury, because this is a
jury trial, that it was this was the app itself
that caused mental hardship and issues.
Speaker 7 (01:16:28):
One of the questions that the jury is going to
have to answer is what does it even mean for
her to be addicted? And can the law recognize that
It's going to be very difficult for the plaintiff to
prove that her well being was affected more than her genetics,
more than her social law standing. From therefore, she has
(01:16:49):
to prove that all these other factors basically should be ignored.
Speaker 2 (01:16:55):
And here's the thing I was thinking about too, I mean,
all the ramifications right. The unforeseen thing is if they
say yes, these things are addictive, then that means that
all of us can be an addict. That means we
can all take twelve steps. That means we can all
what if you're if you're at work and you're addicted,
you can't get off the phone, we can't get rid
of you. But even though you're not doing I mean,
you see where we're going with this. I mean, this
(01:17:15):
is this is this is huge, huge, Now.
Speaker 23 (01:17:19):
The twenty twenty three National Institutes of Health study found
that the duration and the frequency of social media use
is directly linked to developing mental health issues. They say
things like anxiety, depression, and insomnia around social media. Jury selection,
by the way, Markey, that gets underway today. This trial
is expected to last weeks and everybody, I mean the
world will be watching this trial. As there's been a
(01:17:40):
lot of folks that have been talking about whether or
not we should restrict the use of.
Speaker 2 (01:17:44):
Social media with teens. Yeah, I mean you're seeing it
in several countries. BRIT's taken up obviously, Australia has already
done it. And again the implications of this are massive,
and it is going to be very interesting to see
how how they play this because they've had many inside
(01:18:05):
of their companies who have testified before Congress on making
it addictive. But the question is, isn't the content that
is addictive and being addicted to it doesn't mean your
mental health? Would this person struggle without social media? Would
(01:18:36):
this person be in a position where they would have
a hard time dealing with certain things as far as
their mental illness without social media? And they're going to
have to prove that no, everything would be fine. Social
media is the one that costs this huge massive I
(01:18:58):
mean to think three two, three, five, three, four, twenty three,
atch had Vinson show, shreks your Insta, YouTube and more. Meanwhile,
Trump is not happy. You want to know how unhappy
is f This is basically what he said to Greg Boveno,
(01:19:21):
who is the Border Patrol chief Ice the cat on
the ground in Minnesota. They're the ones where they, you know,
they make him look like he's part of the Gestapo.
I have to be honest with you. I'm gonna throw
this out there. You can say what you want, because
I do. I think they're all Nazis.
Speaker 16 (01:19:37):
I do not.
Speaker 2 (01:19:37):
That's much crap. If you were to go to Central
Casting and you were to say, get me a guy
with this kind of haircut, and I want him to
wear a long, dark gray or leathery trench coat, he
would be the guy. He would be. He's out, by
the way, he's heading back to El Centro. This entire
(01:20:02):
situation has become a nightmare that Trump wanted no part of.
I told you guys yesterday early he doesn't want any
of this. I'd spoken to people over the weekend. They
said he was apoplectic. And the way that they handled
it right from going out and calling this guy, of
(01:20:24):
course a terrorist, and doing the things that they did,
which was just ridiculous. Right, and they changed really quick.
But I want you to listen to So you've got
christinome right and she comes out and she says this
right off jump.
Speaker 20 (01:20:42):
At nine oh five am Central time, the Department of
Homeland Security law enforcement officials and officers were conducting targeted
operations in Minneapolis against an illegal alien whose criminal history
included domestic assault with intentionally inflicting bodily harm, disorderly conduct,
and driving without a valid license. An individual approached US
(01:21:06):
border Patrol officers with a nine millimeter semi automatic handgun.
The officers attempted to disarm this individual, but the armed
suspect reacted violently.
Speaker 2 (01:21:17):
So that was a bunch of crap. We know, the
way that she came out, He never brandished the weapon,
didn't do any of that stuff, and coming out and
calling in domestic terrorists and all of this stuff. Then
then boveno. Right, so he comes out and he says
virtually the same thing, but then changes the next day
because he realized, oh.
Speaker 22 (01:21:38):
During this operation, an individual approached US Border Patrol agents
with a nine millimeter semi automatic handgun. The agents attempted
to disarm the individual, but he violently resisted.
Speaker 2 (01:21:55):
Okay, so that's what he says, right, almost immediately afterwards, Right,
it's their fault all of these things. Look at them,
blah blah blah blah blah. You know, goes after just
like she does. Then the next day his tune had
changed rather quickly. Again.
Speaker 22 (01:22:13):
The investigation is going to uncover all those facts, things
like how many shots were fired, where were the weapons located?
All those facts are going to come out in the investigation.
I wasn't there wrestling that assaulted subject that was assaulting
boarder patrol agents. I wasn't there wrestling him myself, So
I'm not going to speculate. I'm going to wait for
(01:22:35):
that investigation to come now, don't interrupt me. I'm going
to wait till that investigation comes out until I make
a decision.
Speaker 2 (01:22:42):
There, which is what you should have said the first day.
You guys jacked this up right, like there were so
many things wrong with this, to the point where Hannity
had said, all right, we've had enough, Greg Abbot govnor
Abbitt said yet no, they got to this. This is
not a good look.
Speaker 9 (01:23:02):
In general, we need to have respect for law enforcement
officers in the country. I they are law enforcement officers,
and so they, being the White House, need to recalibrate
on what needs to be done, uh to make sure
that that respect is going to be reinstilled.
Speaker 2 (01:23:20):
UH.
Speaker 9 (01:23:21):
And that's that's not an easy task, especially under the
current circumstances. But I know that they're working on a
game plan UH to make sure that they are going
to so let's say, recalibrate then maybe work from a
different direction, UH to ensure that they get back to
what they wanted to do to begin.
Speaker 2 (01:23:37):
With and then Hannity went on saying, look, we wanted
to get the bad guys. We ned, you know, maybe
rolling through home depot parking lots and snatching up people. Uh,
that's not a look. People change their minds. They're looking
at this, they're not happy, They're not and this, first
(01:23:59):
of all, it was an attack on an American citizen's
character that was uncalled for and quite frankly disgusting. You
then went after being able to carry a gun, right
cash betel Flail. I mean, we can go over and
(01:24:21):
over the missteps here, and there are plenty. And we
have talked about the lunacy of the left in the
way that they have gone about their insane emotional lunacy
at times when it comes to protesting and wackiness. But
the swing and amiss here. Trump realized that and he said,
(01:24:42):
we got to pivot. This is not a winning argument
right now. We must pivot because I am losing a
lot of independence, which is going to show up for
the other side come November. Let me know what you think.
Three two, three, five, three eight twenty four three atch
had Benson shows that's your instance. All the other things
(01:25:03):
where relief factor is amazing. Let me say about Relief
Factor natural stuff risveratrol. I'll make it three fatty acids,
CUSEM and car and all this amazing stuff. And it
what's to do? It focuses on the pathways when it
comes to inflammation. Inflammation is a big deal. It is right.
You've heard me talk about Kim and Bill, all these
(01:25:24):
people that are a little bit older, right, They're living
their life and it's not the best life. Why is
that because they struggle with inflammation problems, especially recovery from
their aches and pains and their joints and their muscles.

This is the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 1 (01:26:27):
You're listening to the Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (01:26:30):
Now it's time to find out what's trending? What's trending?
Speaker 24 (01:26:35):
James Dean, Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia?
Speaker 4 (01:26:46):
Sir? What trapping?
Speaker 2 (01:26:58):
All right? I was fine? I was trending on this Tuesday.
Shall we start with Yahoo? Donald Trump Ice Kennedy Center.
Apparently large deficit at the Kennedy excuse me, the Trump
(01:27:20):
Kennedy Center, and he's kind of washed his hands of
government shutdown? Are we heading to the first one of
the year?
Speaker 24 (01:27:28):
Right?
Speaker 2 (01:27:29):
Christinome obviously having some issues. Gregory Bovino also having some issues.
Blindside actor Quentin Aaron, he played Big Mike, is on
life support after being hospitalized. Big Mike was a big dude,
(01:27:51):
lost some two hundred pounds of the last year and
a half two years. He said he wasn't feeling well.
He'd lost feelings and his legs while waking walking up stairs.
After running several tests, doctors said he's got a blood
infection and I wish him the best. Over to Google.
Greg Boveno, dude that headed up the Williams the Chief
(01:28:18):
Right of Immigration of the Ice and you know, border
patrol and whatnot. He has been relieved of his duties
on the ground and he's going back to El Centro.
Shooter Saniers. Kanye West talked about him this May of Copa.
He's got a May of Copa and his May Copa
(01:28:39):
is sorry. Sydney Sweeney trending as well, Coco golf out
that the Australian Open and finally over to X which
is going to give it to you obviously, border patrol,
ice shooting, Second Amendment, Christinome, alex Pretty Minnesota. Tom Homan all,
(01:29:09):
thanks trending in the magical world of X which, of course,
as we know, is going to give it to you.
EX is going to give it to you three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four, twenty three at ched Benson show.
That is your EX, your Insta, your YouTube and Facebook
and all the other things. If you missed any show,
grab that podcast helps us out right here on the
Ched Benson Shiel. One of the other things that has
(01:29:32):
been trending is Ted Cruz. Now we've talked about Ted
wants to be President of the United States of America.
It's his dream and our buddy Jim Kennedy loves himself
since Ted, Ted's more old school conservative. But in secret recordings,
in secret recordings, Ted did what he trashed Vance and
(01:29:53):
Trump's tariffs and a few other things out there, which
has made him, you know, quite u unpopular at this moment.
This story would be much bigger. Obviously, what's going on
currently in Minnesota is you know, like anything, It's it's
a big deals like in the oxygen out of the room.
(01:30:13):
But he says some stuff that wasn't very nice, especially
about Vance and Trump, and also talked about, Look, there's
a lot of people out there in the Republican world
who would like to break from Trump. They're not fans
of Trump. The reality is they don't have the balls
(01:30:35):
to do it. But he's not the only one that
feels that way. I can guarantee that three two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson
Show Your ex Shurancet, a YouTube, Facebook and more coming
up for good Buddy Mike Lion's military Analyt's going to
join the program. We're going to talk about obviously, Iran
what maybe next and what's going on in China. You
need to pay attention to this. This is crazy, that's
all straight ahead. Chad Benson Show, Fun, Chad.
Speaker 1 (01:30:58):
Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.
Speaker 2 (01:31:21):
It is that time of the week. We talk to
our good buddy, Michael, Lion's best military analysts in the business,
retired Major Mike. I want to start out with something
that nobody's talking about. You know, we run it with
Venezuela for a long time and Ron the whole nine yards.
But something's going on in China where they're claiming that
there were secret stolen and sold to the US, and
(01:31:42):
it's like Gee's biggest allies word like coup being used
in all of this chaos. Uh, something weird is happening
over there, and I'm not quite sure what it is,
but it's it's you know, it's tend about to You're
looking at a situation where their biggest general, like the
guy that maybe the second most powerful guy, is now
(01:32:04):
locked up and what the hell's going on?
Speaker 12 (01:32:08):
Chad? This is an interesting situation.
Speaker 13 (01:32:10):
We've not seen since she took power there, and hadn't
seen something like this since the old Soviet Union when
Stalin had purses of the high ranking individuals, I mean
the guy that general's saying that the individual that is
being charged now is a childhood friend of the president
and goes back sixty years plus and is one of
(01:32:32):
the only few combat veterans from the nineteen seventy nine
war that China had. And we're still trying to figure
out what exactly is going on from a national security perspective.
And it reminds me a little bit of North Korea
because we have a lot of information inside of rushing
these other places, but it doesn't seem to me that
we know really what's going on here. But if the
(01:32:53):
story is true about this general being flipped and giving
us secrets, you talked about a coup for our intelligence
agencies and to have that done, but it possibly could
signal that g wants to go to war right now,
and these generals, from my understanding, did not want to
do that. They didn't want to get their butts kicked
(01:33:13):
by the United States. That's what they thought was going
to happen as they've ranked up, if they've cranked up
all of the exercises going on there. So keep an
eye close on what's going on. You could see that
they're getting away more from this kind of deterrence and
moving towards i'll call it gray zone military activity. The
amount of things that are going on in South channels
(01:33:33):
here on a daily basis are just escalated, waiting for
this potential explosion to take place.
Speaker 2 (01:33:40):
You know, you talk about going to war. Are they
talking about us squaring off or is it more they
want to go after Taiwan and see exactly what kind
of reaction that we would get, because you know, the
full fledged war again mutual is your destruction if they're
going to go that far, if we're going to go
with nukes. But is it more of a like he
(01:34:00):
wants Taiwan because he wants it all to happen on
his watch?
Speaker 4 (01:34:04):
Ye?
Speaker 12 (01:34:05):
Yeah, I think so.
Speaker 13 (01:34:06):
I think these leaders recognize their mortality, same with Vladimir
Putin in Ukraine, and recognize that if they don't do
something and it's not going to happen, it's not going
to happen.
Speaker 12 (01:34:15):
Biasmosis.
Speaker 13 (01:34:17):
The threat though, is clear in that you know that
they continue to just ramp up, make more military equipment,
have more exercises. What is being perceived there, So they're
really you know signaling. I guess it's the best way
to put it that they're really going to isolate Taiwan
(01:34:37):
and create create maybe an economic situation that that'll hurt
the rest of the world there. But he wants to
do something that's looking we thought it was going to
be before twenty twenty seven, but now without these generals
gone and the rift that's taking place there, it's likely
going to be extended further out.
Speaker 2 (01:34:53):
Talking to my client's military and also we talk about
all things military, let's move to there really quick before
we get to Iran a few of the other things.
Russia admitted that one of their big black sea fleet
ships was sunk by the Ukrainians. That doesn't seem to
be moving the way again. I feel like Trump has
kind of just let that ship sailed and let Europe
(01:35:13):
handle whatever they're going to handle. And even Zelenski said,
you know, Europe's got a step up and take more
of a role because it looks like America's kind of
not doing anything.
Speaker 13 (01:35:22):
No, they've stepped up the strikes, no question. On the
Iranian cities.
So the
(01:35:45):
talks are taking place, I guess in Abu Dhabi, but
it's not on the ground there. Russia still looks at
the battlefield calculus and says, we don't have to do anything.
We could just we don't really have to negotiate at
this point, and the president still hasn't given the leverage
required for Ukraine to move.
Speaker 12 (01:36:03):
The needle to get Russia is to stop.
Speaker 13 (01:36:04):
So no change and let's you know, the winner is
full and I think from a military perspective, that's the
challenging thing from the ground to the soldiers there.
Speaker 2 (01:36:14):
Talking to my client's military analysts as we talk about
all thanks military, All right, let's move quickly to and
really the biggest thing as far as potentially us in
some military play Iran. We you know, Trump put himself
in a in a very poor position. He said, he
egged on the protesters to keep protesting, said you know,
(01:36:35):
help is coming, and then they said, ah, well, they
said they're not you know, executing any more people, So
we're fine. Now we're finding out that they may have
killed upwards of thirty five thousand people. They're telling them
to shoot protesters on the spot. And now we've got
our fleets moving back there. With the no fly zones
being put in by European nations saying hey, do not
fly over here. You got Saudi Arabia, Cutter and everybody.
(01:36:57):
They're stopping flights in certain area. It feels like there's
going to be something that goes down. But my question
is what exactly are we going to be able.
Speaker 12 (01:37:06):
To do right? What's the target?
Speaker 13 (01:37:09):
I do think we'll use the element of surprise, but
I don't know who the military target is. It's you know,
there's no military solutions as that takes on its surface
that makes a regime change go there. But you're seeing
the desperate calls from the citizens of Iran getting out
in starlink. But it also shows that you just can't
give them the Internet and think that they're going to
(01:37:30):
win the war. It's very similar to what took place
in Syria. You know, the government still controls the weapons
and the ministries. The key to Iran is the Iranian Army,
not the Revolutionary Guards. If the Iranian Army decides to
be that on the side of the citizens there, they
have us, they have a chance, and they would fight
(01:37:50):
against the Revolutionary Guards.
Speaker 12 (01:37:52):
Would be a brutal civil war.
Speaker 13 (01:37:54):
And maybe if that's started to happen, and if we're
coordinating with somebody on the ground there from an intel perspective,
we can come up with some targets to hit the
Revolutionary Guards to make them less effective. But there's you know,
we're all looking this as it's nineteen seventy eight again
and somebody's going to show up on an airplane and
step off and lead the country. I just think we're
(01:38:14):
still very far away from that, and we'll see what
the military solution will look like, or what the first
strike will look like, but it'll it'll come at a
moment when we probably least expected.
Speaker 2 (01:38:26):
And you know, you talk about the the solution to
whatever problem there is. You know, it's one thing with Maduro, right,
it was fifty million dollars on his head. The guy
was Nobody was sad to see him go over there,
because everybody says, well, you know, we'll just move into
the new situation they're already talking to these people like
you know, Rodriguez and everything, but here it's a little
(01:38:48):
bit different, and this isn't a snatch and grab and
then somebody else is going to take over the week
and work with because there'll just be another you know,
you know, Iatola that rolls in there and wants the
same thing. So I don't get the thought process. And
did Trump over do it a little bit when he
drew a red line? And then I feel like we
(01:39:09):
kind of let those people down. A lot of people
got killed with us saying hey, we're coming and we
don't even know what we're coming for.
Speaker 13 (01:39:16):
You're right, I yeah, I think he likely got out
over his skis a little bit. And given that that
that we weren't ready to strike when that when it
took place, when he was saying those things, I think
he felt that the pressure internally was going to crumble
from within he was and he just got ahead of
the message. And now that that's not taking place, it
looks like, you know, he can claim he's doing strategic
(01:39:38):
pausing and patience, but but for the people dying on
the ground, that's not This is not going to cut it.
I think I think I think that in an Iran,
the Israelis are going to be the key factor here,
and they're intelligent and was sad, and I've got to
think that they've been building up an intelligence network there.
So while the United States might provide an overall kinetic solution,
(01:40:00):
I think Israel is providing an infrastructure solution that we
just don't know the details of yet.
Speaker 2 (01:40:04):
Talking to my client's military and let's we talk about
all things military, let's talk about Israel. They got back,
I guess the last of the bodies yesterday, and now
it's on to potentially phase two. But you and I
are still looking around going okay, well, phase two looks
like what because let's say Hamas wants to give up
their weapons today, they're not giving up. They're not worried
(01:40:25):
at this moment as much about Israel and the IDF
as they are about the other militias inside of there
that may come after them. So are we going to
see anybody else move in to, you know, take over
this quote unquote security of Gaza.
Speaker 12 (01:40:41):
Haven't seen that leadership yet. We've talked about Turkey.
Speaker 13 (01:40:43):
Could be that independs in the dispensable nation, Indonesia, Egypt,
as well, and it looks like it will remain a
no man's land. I know Jared Kushnu already has the
plans for beachfront properties, and this Committee of Peace or
whatever that they put together, which is trying to take
NATO's place. Maybe NATO should have had this job from
the very beginning. That would have been interesting. It would
(01:41:05):
have given that organization a lot more of a mission.
But but there's still no legitimate force security force that
will and that will actually make sure that there's peace
taking place on the ground and force any kind of ceasefire.
And Hamas still refuses to give up the ministries and
give up their weapons, so we're still remaining a stalemate there,
(01:41:25):
and Israel is just going to wait this thing out
for a few more months.
Speaker 12 (01:41:29):
I suspect, what.
Speaker 2 (01:41:30):
Do you I mean the I saw the the you know,
the plans for everything, and they're like, oh, you know,
the Palestinians are going to love what's going to go on.
I'm like, there's nobody, no Palestinians living in any of
those places. You're going to move them out and then
you're going to be back in the same position, except
you're gonna have nicer houses. With people potentially, you know,
going you took our land, you put up beachfront condos.
(01:41:53):
Why shouldn't we be pissed.
Speaker 13 (01:41:55):
Yeah, there's there's not they're all you know, we'll move
east into the desert. Right, They're going to control that
nice real estate that will exist along the Mediterranean for
sure as they build, likely from the outside in. Let's say,
Israel did try over the past twenty years to give
settlements to some of those the Palestinians that were there,
but but it's you know, having been isolated since two
(01:42:18):
thousand and five and what Hamas did inside of Gaza,
it's really its own fault. And you know, whether Israel
does that again has the wealth, we'll see what happens.
Speaker 12 (01:42:27):
There's not there's not that many people.
Speaker 13 (01:42:29):
I guess there's totally two million Palestinians, but at this
point a lot of those are not They're not going
to be able to return back to their homes and
and there'll be a disbursement of specifically and they will
they'll travel without a homeland and that will eventually create
another problem in fifty years I prove, all.
Speaker 2 (01:42:45):
Right, Michael, last question, it's a big doings anything this
week that we're going to see that, you know, in Iran,
because I feel like if there's going to be something
you think your gut telling you it's it's going to
happen in the next ten days. There could be some thing.
Speaker 13 (01:43:01):
It is I think I think it is, and I
don't usually like to go out in a limb like that.
But we've got all the pieces in place now. This
is kind of you know, Independence Day, where it took
us a while to get the carrier there. They'll they'll
they'll have some military targets. Whether that will help this
the citizens there, and whether the Iranian army will use
that as a way to tip over the revolutionary guards
(01:43:21):
remains to be seen. But there's there's already a disaster
taking place, a humanitarian disaster in Tehran because of the
lack of water. I'm sure you're familiar with that. The
infrastructure there is already crumbling. Toronto and aronsa smart country,
and it has so much potential. I would love nothing
more to see it solved in our lifetimes. It's because
it's been the number one foreign policy failure in our lifetimes,
(01:43:42):
for for example, since since World War Two, and it
would be it would be tremendous that we can get
this this country into the International League of Nations and
right now might be the time.
Speaker 2 (01:43:52):
Are any of our bases they're a threat, I mean,
you know, being hit, Yeah, I think so.
Speaker 13 (01:43:58):
I think in Qatar and in the Middle East, they
in Israel as well. I think that's that's what they have.
They've moved a lot of their missile capability done mobile platforms.
Now you know, the Israelis are on high alert. This
is causing Israel economic pressure because they have to stay
on high alert the whole time, as well as as
(01:44:19):
the Iranians will strike back if there is some kind
of attack.
Speaker 12 (01:44:23):
We saw it.
Speaker 13 (01:44:23):
Look and we saw when when even when Israel went
and struck with a big blow, they came back with
over two thousand rockets. They have capability and we're not
going to get at all on the first strike, which
I think is likely what's making the military targeting very challenging.
If we're going to go after their capability, we're going
to go after it big, and we're going to go
after it in places where it will really hurt for
(01:44:46):
them to try to retaliate.
Speaker 2 (01:44:47):

Speaker 2 (01:46:37):
As we wrap up this Tuesday edition, talk about this, right,
we're going from talking about war to talking about peace
with our good friends and yours, the monks who are
on the march, and today we find out where they're
headed and how they're holding up, because as you know,
it's cold out there.
Speaker 15 (01:46:56):
As quickly as you can snack the pebble from my hand,
when you could take the pebble from my head. It
would be time for you to read.
Speaker 2 (01:47:03):
Now it's time for your daily Monk March update. Time
for you to leave, all right? Today the monks took
off just a bit ago, so they are on their
way from Lewisburg, North Carolina. It's day ninety four. They're
headed towards Warrenton, which I think is Virginia. That is
(01:47:27):
a long walk. They're not going to make it all today,
if I'm correct, I think it's like three hundred plus miles.
So the walk is far, grasshopper, And to get to
where you need to go, you must do it one
step at a time, and that's exactly what they're doing.
(01:47:48):
So God bless them for that. And if you want
to know what the weather is like, it's cold. They
are bundled up when I last saw them but a
little while ago, because they of course have cameras on them,
They are all bundled up big time. And yes, all
of them have giant what seems to be bug boots
(01:48:09):
on as they start their walk today, So we'll be
keeping an eye on them as they continue to march
for peace, headed towards d C. Then't're weird? That we
can talk about war right before this and all the
chaos growing on, and then we pivot. We're like pivoters,
the sweet pivot move. The next thing, you know, we're
(01:48:30):
talking about peace, as we should be more and more peace.
It matters. Everybody, speaking of matters. Reach out to us
across all of our social media three two, three, five,

(01:48:51):
helps as well and all of the other things we've
got going on right here on the Jed Benson Show
Fun Show today. So let's see, let's go over what
we talked about TikTok and it's chaos immigration and it's
chaos two A, that Second Amendment and what the administration said. Yeah,
we talked about dating and height requirements. We talked about
(01:49:14):
Kanye and his chaos and all that. I mean, we
talked about so much. It's what we do, kids. We're
Schmorgesborg of fun and information. You guys have a blessed,
