Speaker 1 (00:11):
The Chat Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
He's cold outside.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
As you guys know, the weather outside has been awful.
But today we find out if it's gonna be over right,
like it's going away, or we're gonna get six more
weeks of winter. So you know what happens, right, we
go and we grab the magical rat, the magical rat,
that's right now. I watched the pucksintani Field stuff this morning,

(00:35):
so you didn't have to. I gotta be honest with you.
I was surprised. I was surprised what kind of party
was going on. And it wasn't a party. They were
going crazy out there, dancing up and down. There's flames.
I mean, this is not just a bunch of guys
in top hats showing up right grabbing the ginormous wanna
be beaver and holding up going, hey, guys, look what

(00:58):
the wanna be beaver did. No, no, no, oh no.
The party's big. It's real. It's got its own dancers,
and the flames behind it were amazing. Right at the
Gobbler's Knob or whatever the hell it's called. I think
it's called Gobbler's Knob, So what is golf? It's not.
But the knob place, and it's just it looks like
a wrestling match, right, you know. So they start partying, screaming, yelling,

(01:19):
doing the whole thing, waiting for the rat to come out.
Not a rat, Chad's wanna be beaver run. So it
starts like that, rightlic goes bring out the giant, huge
kinney foul pig, and they do bring it out. They

(01:42):
announced it. So they announced it. All the guys in
the top has it all night and and they hold
him up and then oh my god, oh my god,
here he comes, here he comes, and then the announcement
it's Buck Saddani fo. Then there he goes, Buck Satani Phil.
So they placed him upon the knob, the gobblers, with
the hobblers whatever it's called. I watched the wilego. You

(02:03):
think I'd remember it, but I don't. So they place
it on top of it. Right, No signs of Bill
Murray anybody. So they place it on top. He's got
a little he's got his own little red carpet, right,
and they take out of these metal boxes, two not one,
but two scrolls, and he makes the decision, Oh here ye,

(02:23):
here ye, here ye, it is my job.

Speaker 4 (02:27):
This February two to look to the skies and report
back to you that there is a shadow here on
my ground.

Speaker 5 (02:37):
Six more weeks of winter abound.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
So we got six more weeks of winter, and we
felt it across the country again, especially throughout the southeast
and northeast.

Speaker 6 (02:48):
The extreme cold mornings all the way down to Florida,
where we're waking up this morning to temperatures in the
twenties Jacksonville, Orlando, down to about thirty six in Miami
Tampa getting down to the freezing mark this morning. Temperatures
moderated a little bit during the course of the week ago,
and speaking of moderation, we could get up to near
the freezing mark for the first time in ten days
in New York City. Florrie's in the Great Lakes, a
little bit of snow streaking through parts of the high Plains.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
I took the dogs down yesterday morning, bright and early,
and I go outside and it doesn't feel as cold
as it has been, and then it's a little bit,
you know, warmer, a little bit of cheap humidity. And
then I noticed that it's snowing everywhere, like nice, nice,
So this week's going to be a hodgepodge of stuff.
But we have heard from the wanna be beaver platypus,

(03:36):
who has told us, hey, six more weeks. You're welcome.
Now I want to give you guys something here. If
you're worried, Oh my god, Chad, there's going to be
six more weeks of winter. How can that be? Let
me tell you what Puck satani Phil's track record is.
Are you ready? He's wrong about sixty one percent of

(03:56):
the time. Oh sorry, Phil, Sorry, but you know what,
You're probably right this time. I feel like it's going
to be because I was told earlier in the year
by the meteorologist that it was going to be a
cold early start to the winter, which it wasn't. So

(04:17):
maybe Phil got it right this wrong time. Maybe maybe
I'll just put it out there. Okay, we got a
lot of serious stuff to talk about today, but I
just want you guys know that if it's cold where
you are, according to the platypus or whatever it is,
it's a groundhog chat. Okay, I know what it is. Okay,
I have friends who have groundhogs. I've thought about getting

(04:37):
a groundhog. I follow a groundhog not named Phil, who
may have more followers than Phil on the TikTok name chunk.
You have friends who have ground. I do have friends.
I have friends, have a lot of animals. They're probably
it's an odd thing. I keep telling my wife I want.
She wanted me to get anything I want. She's just
a fun ruiner. We have two dogs and a cat.

(05:00):
I love the cat. The dogs drive me crazy. She
won't let me have my porcupine snarvels. Come on, lady, right. Meanwhile,
we have to do get to some serious stuff. And
as much as I have talked about it over and
over again, and I said it's not going anywhere, and
I say it's going to go somewhere, it's ridiculous. You

(05:22):
don't even know the Epstein stuff is not going anywhere.
And now anybody can come out and defend the way
that the Democrats and Republicans have acted toward this. How
anybody could come out here in any way, shape or
form not have serious questions about this president and the
administration and the powers that be. Is in freaking sane.

Speaker 7 (05:46):
Released for the first time the original prosecution memo from
a DOJ lawyer in the US Attorney's office in Miami
in two thousand and seven, showing that federal authorities had
uncovered evidence pointing to the broad scale and depravity of
Epstein some molestation and exploitation of girls and young women.
According to the memo, FBI just discovered that Epstein arranged

(06:07):
for massage appointments for girls and women ranging in age
from fourteen to twenty three years old.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
Okay, well, anybody over eighteen, as awful as that was,
and how he treated them, obviously under eighteen is a
serious issue. And the amount of questions that now I
have that I didn't have before based on the stuff

(06:34):
that I've seen because they thought they were doing everything.
They thought they were getting all the names out of there,
i e. The names not of the victims, because you
could see several of their names, but the perpetrators. We're
going to hide the hell out of some of those names.

Speaker 7 (06:47):
D OJ officials say they work to correct any mistakes
when they become known, but the emergency request includes this
quote from a person whose name has never been divosed before, saying,
I've never come forward. Now being harassed by the media
and others, this is devastating to my life.

Speaker 3 (07:05):
Yeah, who are the bad people? We don't know? Are
they going to arrest anybody? No, No, it's disgusting. And yeah,
I'm looking right at you Trump, I'm looking right at
you Cash Ptel and Todd Blanche who cut the deal
right for him. I'm looking at you Elon Musk and

(07:26):
several others out there who continue to correspond with this
scumbag long after he had been convicted.

Speaker 8 (07:35):
Now, there's a lot of correspondence, there's a lot of emails,
there's a lot of photographs, there's a lot of horrible
photographs that appear to be taken by mister Epstein or
were people around him. But that doesn't allow us necessarily
to prosecute somebody. And that's what's important for the American people,
and the victims want to be made whole, and so

(07:57):
we want that. The Attorney General wants them more than anything.
But that doesn't mean we can just create evidence or
that we can just kind of come up with a
case that doesn't that isn't there.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
Well, how do we know what's there and what's not there? Right?
Could you guys remember this Cash Bettel talking about the
Epstein files and everything is no credible information none.

Speaker 9 (08:20):
If there were, I would bring the case yesterday that
he trafficked to other individuals, and the information we have.

Speaker 2 (08:27):
Again is limited.

Speaker 10 (08:27):
So the answer is no one for the information that
we have and the files in the case file.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
Okay, yeah, okay, So what are some of the stuff
in here? Well? First of all, how this isn't being
talked about? Thirty five years ago New Jersey. A friend
told Alexis that she was approximately thirteen or fourteen years
old when this occurred, and the friend bit not President
but now President Trump while performing something the friend was

(08:57):
allegedly hid in the face. Friend also said that Epstein
abused her. What what? What was that about? Nothing? Right?
On top of that, there are allegations of parties at

(09:18):
Epstein's residence where they were selling young girls. Guess who
else was there? Clinton? Trump? Right? I mean, this is
some serious stuff. Nothing. I am shocked that there isn't

(09:42):
more talked about this weekend about this. I really am.
I am just looking around going nothing at all. Look,
I've continued to say this. I don't know what took place,
but I'm thinking more and more that there's a lot
more being hid than we realize. And the fact that

(10:04):
it's the media is not on this more is bizarre.
It really is. It is absolutely bizarre. I'm not gonna
let up on it. I don't think anybody should. And
you can't tell me that there's god knows how many
people are victims in the thousands potentially, and nobody outside

(10:29):
of Prince Andrew has been shamed and or will face
any kind of real consequences. Yes, he's dead, Epstein, good
ridance to bad rubbish, and she's in jail. Maxwell, But
outside of that, find it weird. I find it weird indeed.

(10:49):
Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four to twenty
three at Chad Menson Show, Is Your ex your insta,
YouTube and more? A lot of stuff to get to today,
interesting stuff. Obviously, the Olympics are coming up. We're gonna
talk a bit about that. Our buddy Jim Kennedy Kennedy
Institute of Public Policy Research going to join the program.
We're going to talk about a midterm Monday, so is

(11:12):
what we're calling it now, and we're going to break
down the midterms as we approach them, and so every
Monday we're going to go through. But today's going to
be kind of a big picture. You know, how many
seats that are out there in the Senate that could
be up for grabs. What are we looking at when
it comes to the house and how is all this
going to play out potentially? So that's going to be interesting.
We're going to break that down and we're going to

(11:33):
follow our the March of the Monks, the March of
the Monks and straight ahead. How did Malania do at
the box office this weekend? Hmmm, we shall talk about that.
But first, relief Factor. Relief Factor, it's incredible. I take
it every single day. You should as well.

Speaker 11 (11:50):
If you're like me, a little bit longer than the
tooth right at times, struggle struggle with things like aches
and pains and your joints in your body and what
do you need to do well to figure out how
you're gonna sort that out?

Speaker 3 (12:01):
And Relief Factor is going to help you with that.
Take for instance, Brian from Alabama. Brian says, I have
taken a relief Factor for just three weeks. At least
ninety percent of his pain has gone and his pain
has started to limit him at work and at home.
Now he is feeling so much better. He says he's
amazed at the relief Factor and what it's done for him.
This could be you. That's what I want you to do.

(12:21):
I want you try relief Factor. Okay, it's nineteen ninety
five three week quick start for you a wing to
try it right now and watch what it can do

(12:42):

four Relief eight hundred the number four relief for Relief Factor.
Make sure you tell him Chad Senya Chad Benzichow.

Speaker 1 (13:09):
You're listening to The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
Was the number one movie in America Milania, No Hell
Was Coming.

Speaker 12 (13:17):
The number one weekend movie at theaters in North America
was Sam Raimi's survival thriller Send Help, starring Rachel McAdams
and Dylan O'Brien from Disney, opening with twenty million dollars
to studio estimates. Disney's the parent company of ABC News.

Speaker 13 (13:30):
For What Purpose Do We Remain Alone in the Dark?

Speaker 12 (13:33):
The micro budget sci fi horror film Iron Lung was
second with seventeen point nine million. Third was Milania About
the First Lady with seven million, better than expected for
a documentary.

Speaker 13 (13:43):
Zutopia two was fourth.

Speaker 12 (13:45):
Action thriller Shelter debuted fifth.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
So Milania did better than I thought. But there's a
huge divide there, right Like you had a lot of
Red States that went to see it for whatever reason.
I don't know. And again, this is the way I
look at the the whole Milania thing. Of course, slamm
by critics don't. I don't care what critics say at all.

(14:07):
If you liked it, you liked it, fine. Is it
going to go anywhere? No? I don't think so. Is
it going to make this money back? Maybe? I don't know.
They spent a lot of money on it. I mean
a lot of money on that movie, and they gave
her what twenty five million, So that's a lot of
money right there. It's a decent amount of money. I
think it told it was seventy five million dollars that

(14:30):
they spent on that movie, from the production of it
to the money for Milania, to the massive amounts of
money they threw out there to market the movie. So
do I think it's going to pull its money back.
Probably not. That being said, it did seven million, a
little bit more than I thought, or a little bit
more than that. Actually, all things said and done. The

(14:53):
movie that came in second though, that was the interesting one,
that was Iron lun Now. This movie was done by
a YouTuber maker called market player, and Mark Fischbach is
his name, and he has about forty million subs on
his YouTube, super popular. He plays that let's play these
video game things that are awesome where he goes and

(15:14):
plays all these indie games and stuff. And he put
this movie together for less than three million, and a
vast majority of that was used to market the money.
He directed it, put it all together. He was the
main star in the movie. Very few other actors and
stuff inside of it, and it's just him pretty much
alone in a creepy, weird world. Very interesting, no doubt

(15:40):
about that. Very interesting indeed. But that's almost thirty million
dollars is where it's at right now. That is amazing
good return and something that Hollywood's going to pay attention to.
Opportunities in front of everybody. You don't need to be
the outsider that never has a chance, because there's opportunities
right in front of you a way that's never been before.

(16:02):
Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four to twenty
three Atch Head Benson Show is your extra Insta, YouTube, Facebook,
and more. Right here in the Chad Benson Show this
week is the super Bowl. Pretty excited about that, right
for all the stuff that's going on, it's good they
put some stuff behind us, so we talk about the
super Bowl already. Got my pick. I'm gonna let you
guys know on Friday what it is. But the Seahawks,

(16:23):
their fans came, they saw, they said goodbye, come.

Speaker 7 (16:26):
Out to see them going off to the victory, coming
back with the championship.

Speaker 13 (16:31):
To this great city.

Speaker 3 (16:33):
They gotta win.

Speaker 13 (16:34):
They gonna win, They're gonna come back. They gonna come
back with the trophy and some lean years. But we're
on fire, out on fire.

Speaker 3 (16:42):
Indeed, they're playing great, and of course they're taking on
Drake May, who may definitely get an MVP shout, no
doubt about that. And the Patriots, who you know, I
was talking to a couple of people last week. I'm like,
most people can't even name any of their skilled players.
It's the Patriots, but they know Drake May, and they

(17:03):
know Rabel their coach, and it's one of those things
where there's not superstar oomph right where that has all
the coolness around it, whether it's Taylor Swift and Mahomes
and Brady and all that stuff. But I think it's
gonna be a hell of a game this week for sure,
And like I said, as we get towards the end
of the week, I'm gonna give you my pick. Also,
the Olympics here off this week. That's always kind of

(17:25):
neat the Winter Olympics, so that's gonna be interesting. We'll
talk a little bit more about that later on.

Speaker 13 (17:29):
Coming up.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
Jim Kennedy Kennedy Institute of Public Policy Research, joins the program.
It's Midterm Mondays. Something new we're doing here straight ahead,
Chad Benson.

Speaker 14 (17:36):
Show, Fun, Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 15 (18:05):
Now it's time for midterm Mondays, where we break down
the biggest races from the midterms.

Speaker 16 (18:10):
Who will control the House, who will control the Senate.
We discussed with Jim Kennedy Midterm Mondays.

Speaker 3 (18:18):
All right, We're gonna be doing this every single Monday
all the way up to the midterms, called mid Term Mondays.
Our buddy, Jim Kennedy. Kennedy is the republic Policy Research
is going to join the program today. We're starting We're
going broad big, Okay, We're looking at everything, and then
we'll break down individual races as we go. Jim, exactly
where do we stand when it comes to the House
and the Senate?

Speaker 13 (18:38):
Okay?

Speaker 9 (18:38):
So currently the House is two eighteen with two Republican
vacancies douglam Moffa in northern California who died, and Merder
Taylor Green are resigned, So that would be they would
bring the Republicans to twenty if the both of those
seats go Republican.

Speaker 13 (18:54):
The California one is questionable because.

Speaker 9 (18:57):
Of the redistrict thing out here and what's gonna happen
with that if they're going to turn out for that seat.

Speaker 13 (19:01):
And I'm not sure when the special election is.

Speaker 9 (19:03):
I think Gavin's been dragging his heels on getting that thing.
It might not happen until the June primary out here,
So that would be a that's probably to be short
in that seat for a while. In Virginia one, I
think it's going to be a tad bit quicker than that.
Now on the Democrats side, they're currently at two fourteen.
That includes the Texas eighteen winner last night, and there's
one open, which is the Mickey Cheryl's seat, the New

(19:26):
Jersey woman who was the House member who ran for
governor and won and just took office for the governorship
in New Jersey, so they would have two fifteen. So
two fifteen two twenty would be the number to give
us to two thirty five. And of those we've got
as we're jumping in the midterms, we've got twenty two
Democrat retirements to date and twenty six Republican retirements to date.

Speaker 13 (19:47):
Plus one non voting delegate.

Speaker 9 (19:50):
Of those Democrats, eight of those are leaving to go
jump into Senate seats Senate races, and eighteen Republicans are
running for other office besides the Senate. I mean though
some are governor, sum are Senate, some are are our locals.

Speaker 13 (20:03):
Our state offices.

Speaker 9 (20:05):
So you know, the Republicans right now sitting on a
five on a five vote majority, but again they're really
not sitting on a five vote. They're sitting on a
four vote based upon what's currently in there. And if
you look at some of the prediction markets, the prediction
markets are not generous to the Republicans.

Speaker 13 (20:19):
They're looking at it about seventy five to eighty.

Speaker 9 (20:22):
Percent the markets that the markets are saying generally seventy
five to eighty percent that the Democrats are going to win,
and the Republicans only have a little over a twenty
percent chance of maintaining their slim margin of the House.

Speaker 3 (20:34):
Talking to Jim Kennedy, Kennedy's to the public policy research
we're doing midterm Mondays. We're break down the midterms today.
We're giving you the Broad as we kick this thing off,
the Broad look at everything, and then starting next week
we're going to look at specific races across the board.
It's how many seats, you know, is it going to
be a tsunami? Is it going to be a trickle?
Is it going to be a nice wave? Is it
going to be that? I don't know, because again, you've

(20:55):
got some redistricting, and not all redistrictings can end up
the way that everybody thinks. You still have some court
battles out there, So this is gonna be you know,
I mean, if they were to lose, you know, if
the Republicans would lose fifteen or twenty seats, that's that's
that's a big move right there, you know, I mean
you go back when who was it? When was the
last time we had that massive move Was it against Obama?

(21:18):
There's like forty seats that jumped.

Speaker 9 (21:20):
I think it was after the Obamacare because people just
didn't like Obamacare, so they basically swapped. They threw a
lot of people out. You know, it's hard to get
people out of those seats. You got to have a
serious sea change in the in the d versus our
numbers to get a lot of people out. There aren't
that many swing anymore. They're pretty either pretty red or
pretty blue. And if you're gonna just kind of wonder

(21:41):
how that's all gonna work out with the numbers. We'll
start looking at those next week. By the way, some
some key retirements on the Republican side. Jody Errington, who's
the chairman of the House Budget Committee, Andy Biggs was
in party leadership previously for the Republicans, and David.

Speaker 13 (21:56):
Sweikert for the Dems.

Speaker 9 (21:58):
Nancy Pelosi, former Speaker legend California politics. Like her hater,
she's been a power player for over, you know, close
to forty years in California politics. Lloyd Doggett and Jared
Golden for the Democrats or.

Speaker 13 (22:09):
Some of the key retirements.

Speaker 9 (22:11):
Now those numbers aren't set yet, that more of those
could happen, and I know that we've been talking on
some of the shows that we expect that number to
get higher. We could see that number get closer to
sixty or maybe seventy by the time we actually get
to the filing deadlines for the primaries.

Speaker 3 (22:25):
Yeah, I know, ken Buck was going to finish his
you know, out of Colorado, was going to finish everything,
and he decided no, next Friday, you know, a couple
of days from now, he's done, which puts them in
a really weird situation because with him leaving, that means Bobert,
who was going to run for that seat, now has
to potentially leave her seat and hopefully get appointed there

(22:48):
so she could run on that, which puts them in
another situation that is making everybody go, Okay, they're you know,
this isn't going to be you know, he may not.
He's gonna have some troubles because I don't think this
is the last we've heard of Republicans retire. As I
look around Jim and Jim, I know there are several
out there that are still talking about that. They may
this may be there, you know, time to bow out.
They think they're over the way the politics is. They're

(23:10):
frustrated with stuff, and some of them again want to
run for other offices.

Speaker 9 (23:14):
Yeah, like I said, we're a forty nine right now,
so basically fifty. So when I said it wouldn't be
surprised he gets to see, is certainly get to sixty
maybe even seventy on the on the Bucks seat. I
think that one is going to have to be decided.
It's going to have to be decided by special election.
So I don't know if Bobert's going to jump in
and run. And I remember it's a democratic governor, so
he can do like a Gavit and drag his heels

(23:35):
on when he wants to run that special election off
and can say, hey, you know, I don't want to
do a special election. We'll just do it during the
primary because you know, save money here. It's going to
cost us extra money to run a special election.

Speaker 13 (23:46):
So he may wait for a while on that one.

Speaker 9 (23:49):
So I'll have to see and maybe I'll get some
more information by that one for next week to see
if we get an update on when that special election
is going to be and also Margie Taylor Green's seat,
when that's going to be have the special election.

Speaker 3 (24:00):
Talking to Jim Kennedy, Kennedy Institat of Public Policy Research,
it is midterm monthdays we break down the midterms from
top to bottom. This is the first week we're doing it.
We're going to look at everything big wide picture, and
then started next week we really start breaking down the
races to watch the Senate. Senate's going to be interesting
because there was a you know, I think a lot
of people because we have the tendency to do this.
I mean, everybody knows it. Just guy's go back in

(24:21):
time and look and say, all right, outside of Bush
the power, you know, the party that's in power tends
to lose seats no matter what. Outside of what was
happening nine to eleven, all of that stuff, we tend
to have a you know, a switch a little bit here.
We don't like this party to have too much power.
We we'll move over here. And the thought was, or

(24:41):
at least conventional thought, was the Republicans are probably going
to lose the House, but not the Senate. Although that's
kind of shrunk a little bit too, where the Democrats
are feeling like, you know, we have a chance here.
With the Senate, they have a chance.

Speaker 9 (24:53):
So it's not that it's you know, it's about it's
about a one in three shot of them winning it.

Speaker 13 (24:58):
Right now, we're looking at fifty three looking forty.

Speaker 9 (25:00):
Seven Democrats and technically that's forty five Democrats plus Bernie
Sanders from Vermont and King from Maine are the two
independents that cauck us with the Democrats.

Speaker 13 (25:11):
That makes it forty seven to fifty three.

Speaker 9 (25:13):
Don't forget in the Senate with ties, the tie goes
to the Vice President, which of course is a Republican
JD Vance, So that gives the Republicans a win on
anything that is not fifty one forty nine, they'll win all,
you know, they will carry all fifty to fifty votes
in the Senate for right now.

Speaker 3 (25:29):
There's some interesting seats out there, you know, You and
I know this. The Senate's a weird thing because a
lot of places can be right, but you can have
a split with Senate at times there, you know, like
as West Virginia, those things like you said. With the House,
though that has changed over the years. Everything has become
so red and blue very few things. I mean, to
flip a Senate seat is a huge deal because we've

(25:52):
set ourselves up for red and blue states.

Speaker 13 (25:54):
Yeah. Absolutely, and it really is, it really is that way.

Speaker 9 (25:57):
On the Democrats side, they've got Dick Durbin, who has
been a you know, leader in the for the Democrats
Senate senators from the Democrats side for a long time,
Geeneji Heen of New Hampshire's retiring Tina Smith. And Minnesota,
which will be interesting now with the current events in Minnesota,
how that's going to pan out.

Speaker 13 (26:12):
I don't think that would be.

Speaker 9 (26:13):
I don't think the Republicans are going to probably do well,
and that you never know that maybe people are tired
of them, tired of them writing in Minneapolis, and then
may side with the Institute Law and Order and vote
a Republican and don't know. Again, got ten months, a
lot of things are going to happen. I don't think
they'll still be writing in Minneapolis come August or September.
They could be, but I'm guessing they probably won't be.
Gary Peters from Michigan's retiring. On the Republican side, you

(26:36):
got Mitch McConnell with a long time a majority leader
for the for the Democrats and minority leader when the
Republicans are out of power.

Speaker 13 (26:44):
Retiring Turtle Mitch is sol Mitch may have stayed passed
his sell by date. Unfortunately.

Speaker 9 (26:54):
I don't want to make fun of the gentlemen, but
when you have to be rebooted during a press conference,
it's generally not a good thing.

Speaker 13 (27:01):
You know, I appreciate Mit Mitch McConnell's effort.

Speaker 9 (27:03):
He's been a master of the Senate getting stuffed through
that doesn't seem to make a lot of sense, but somehow,
just like Nancy Pelosi has been able to do with
the Democrats, he's been able to keep the Republicans in
line and gotten votes through that you just didn't think
he was going to be able to do.

Speaker 13 (27:16):
And in the end he's got those votes and he
will be missed.

Speaker 9 (27:19):
I mean, you know, Thune's doing a good job, but
you know, he's really been pretty good. But again, he
may have stayed just a little bit longer than he
probably should have. Tom Tillis from North Carolina, not a
fan of President Trump's, is leaving, joining Yarns of Iowa's
retiring Cynthony Loomis of Wyoming is retiring and tom and
Tommy Tubberville of Alabama. Coach Tubberville is not returning because

(27:42):
he's gonna run for governor of Alabama instead. So that's
gonna leave a seat that you would think the Republicans
would be able to win along with the Wyoming seat,
So those should be solid Republicans. You would think the
Illinois seat should be. North Carolina is going to be
a toss up, and I would generally think Kentucky would be.
But you know, you got a Democrat governor there now,
and he got ran Paul who's not the most conservative

(28:05):
Republican in the Senate. So I don't know what's going
to happen that one. They may have to throw some
money at to hold that seat.

Speaker 13 (28:12):
Now.

Speaker 9 (28:12):
Luckily, you know, like I said, it's about a two
to one favor of the Republicans holding the Senate. You've
got twenty two seats up for the Republicans and thirteen
up for the Democrats. And of those two Republican two
of those Republicans are special elections Florida for Marco Rubil
became Secretary of State under Trump, and Ohio of course
jd Vance now Vice President.

Speaker 3 (28:34):
It's talking to Jim Kennedy Kennedy Institute of Public Policy
Researcher Talk Midterm Mondays. We break down the midterms from
top to bottom. Last question tonight, and again we're gonna
be doing this every Monday. How much is Trump going
to play on a lot of these races across the board? Normally,
obviously the president plays a little bit of a role,

(28:55):
but we've had, let's be honest, this is essentially a
third of Trump noise. We've had Trump as president twice.
In between we had Trump didn't go anywhere. But I
still and he wants to play a big role in
this because I think he feels like the only way
I'm going to be able to save some of these
things is fike out there and sell it. That may
not be the best thing though in some areas.

Speaker 9 (29:17):
No his to me, Frank his ability to pick candidates
was pretty bad.

Speaker 17 (29:22):
If you didn't like herschel Walker, that guy was awesome.
It was like the vampires, the vampires, and.

Speaker 3 (29:27):
Then it was a were wolf and did the vampires
and were wolves are going to fight each other? And
that was because there's no were wolves?

Speaker 13 (29:33):
Is good?

Speaker 3 (29:34):
These like dogs and vampires can't go outside. Know that
that was insane, dude, Chad, how do.

Speaker 13 (29:39):
You forget that?

Speaker 3 (29:41):
That was insane?

Speaker 9 (29:42):
Yes, And unfortunately he's a great running back, great fitness person,
probably not the best choice to run for Senate in
a seat that really should have been very winnable for
the Republican And if they had put a better candidate in,
it matters.

Speaker 13 (29:56):
Quality.

Speaker 9 (29:57):
Candidate quality matters, and I cannot say that more. Someone
not to tattoo that across Trump's head. Candidate quality matters.
I wonder with Susie Wiles how much is she going
to have the ability to rein him in as going no, no, no,
you're not picking him or you're not picking her. That
that's no, you're not that's not the right person. That
is not somebody who who is amongst one of the

(30:19):
most exclusive bodies in America. There's only one hundred members,
you know, you're talking about you know, the number of
astronauts that have flown in space is about that number less.
So you're talking about a very exclusive group that that's
the US Senate. You need somebody who has the stature
to be in the US Senate. You know, God bless
mister Walker, but I don't not believe he currently he

(30:39):
necessarily had the fortitude to be a US senator. Now,
speaking of that, Trump has already opened his mouth and
endorsed two candidates. Now, these are not bad candidates from
what I've seen, former r and C chair Michael Wattley.
And then for the New Hampshire open seat that's a
d C right now, Democrats seat former Senator john Sonunho

(31:00):
believe is the son of Johnsonunu, who was the chief
of staff for President for President Reagan or Bush back
in the back in the eighties and has been in
the Sonunu is a legendary name in New Hampshire Republican
politics for probably fifty years. So so he's going to
be jumping in and and Trump is back to him.

(31:20):
So those are not bad ones. I mean, he's been
a senator before. Wally's been experiencing politics from our RNC chair.
So hopefully if he picks people like this for some
of these key races, that's going to be a good thing.
Picking athletes that are not necessarily up to the task
is not necessarily a good thing, and we need basically
quality candidates, especially in the seats that you would think

(31:43):
would be absolutely winnable, that there should be no brainers
when it comes to you know, when it comes to
winning them. Georgia, like I said, was the seat that
should have been a.

Speaker 13 (31:52):
No brainer to win.

Speaker 9 (31:54):
North Carolina Caron is getting a little purplely quite purple.
Republicans have won the last if I remember right. Yeah,
But on a statewide election, if it's gonna be they're
gonna put Trump on the ballot in a in a
state that he barely won, it could be a tough race.
New Hampshire again is one of those toss ups. You
get a lot of influence from Boston up there. Uh,
small state, you gotta basically ring almost every doorbell in

(32:16):
the state if you're gonna want to get elected there.
So New New's done it before, so hopefully you can
do it again. The question will be is who the
Democrat's gonna put up And we can jump into some
of that next week when we kind of go back
over some of the individual races, and we'll go over
when some of these primaries are because the primaries are
stretched out for months and months and months throughout the
year before we get to the general.

Speaker 3 (32:34):
Jim Kennedy Kennedy Institut of Public Policy Research are first. Well,
it's our first I'm very excited. It's our mid term Monday.
It's our first one, and we break down the midterms
across the board as we head forward, including the races
that I think that are going to be the closest.
Appreciate you coming on, dude, and we'll do it again.

Speaker 13 (32:47):
Tom's good.

Speaker 3 (32:47):
Thanks chat little midterm Monday for you. We're gonna break
down the midterms every single Monday as we approach the midterms,
which seems like a long way away, but I have
a feeling it's going to be much closer than we think.
Three two, three, five, three, twenty four to twenty three acts.

Coming up? Where are the monks? We shall find out
Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (34:12):
Welcome to Chat Chef.

Speaker 18 (34:14):
No, not the country, the institution, the Chat Benson Show.

Speaker 3 (34:20):
Let us find out where the monks are in their
March four piece as.

Speaker 19 (34:26):
Quickly as you can snack the pebble from my hand.
When you can take the pebble from my hand. It
would be time for you to leave.

Speaker 3 (34:33):
Now it's time for your daily Monk March update.

Speaker 19 (34:37):
Time for you to leave.

Speaker 3 (34:40):
Monks are cruising as you do through the cold. Today
mark's a significant day in the Monk March. You ready
for this day one hundred. So they're going to reach Richmond,
Virginia today, they said, is beautiful oportun if everybody come

(35:00):
out and march together for peace, gathering in unity. They're
gonna stop at Richmond fire Station seventeen. They're gonna have
lunch there no visitation during lunch, however, but then at
one point thirty they're going to start their walk event
from the fire station. You can join the walk then.
So they are on their march continuing to DC. The

(35:23):
March for Peace Day one hundred today. Now you know
where the monks are. It's good to know where the
monks are. Three two, three, five, three, eight, twenty four
to twenty three at Ched Benson Show, chirac's your Insta,
your YouTube and all of the other good stuff. You
missing the show, make sure you're had the podcast right
here on the Chad Benson Show coming up a hour
and two. The program a lot of stuff to get to.

(35:44):
More Grammy news. Interesting email I got from a listener
not happy about the halftime show at the super Bowl
and somehow I'm a bad guy, very angry individual. Epstein
news and there's a plenty of it, and I'm surprised
it isn't making more noise. But there was a lot of,
you know, stuff to go through. We're gonna break that down.

(36:06):
He's got some financial news. The special election in Texas. Boy,
that was not so much a shocker as it was
a win that I think opened some people's eyes. We'll
talk a bit about that. We've got your urban word
of Today, a bunch of other good stuff to get
to our Number two of the program is straight ahead.
This is the Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (36:28):
This is the Chad Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 3 (36:57):
Oh my god, we're in a government shutdown again? What
I did? Did you guys even know? You did know mine?
I didn't know that too. But it's not really the
kind of shutdown that we see. This is more of
a where to shut down because it's the weekend, everybody's home,
They're going to come back. We're going to get this
sorted out soon.

Speaker 20 (37:15):
Controllers TSA agents and service members are again working without pay.
The FAA for a load ten thousand workers this weekend. Now,
let's build funds those parts of the government for the
rest of the year. But it does separate DHS funding
so Congress can debate that potential reform on ice and
border patrol without holding up that broader spending package. A

(37:37):
Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries says this is a
step in the right direction, but he's reiterating the need
for dramatic reform.

Speaker 21 (37:45):
Body cameras should be mandatory, mass should come off. Judicial
warrants should absolutely be required consistent with the Constitution in
our view, before DHS agents or ICE agents are breaking
into the homes of the American people.

Speaker 3 (38:01):
So the way this would work is they'll vote on it,
most likely tomorrow. That's what Mike Johnson saying. They'll get
it past. That will take care of the government outside
of DHS and the ICE stuff, and they have two
weeks up in the Valentine's Day I guess to sort
that out.

Speaker 20 (38:20):
This package does allow DHS to keep its current funding
levels for two weeks, and during that time, comgressional leaders
we'll need to agree on that longer term funding, and
President Trump was asked over the weekend if Republicans are
even considering some of those democratic demands, cysticulous to him.

Speaker 13 (38:37):
We'll talk about it.

Speaker 3 (38:38):
It's not appropriate you. We have to let a little
time go by, but we'll talk about it. We'll have
to talk about that over the next three or what
it is.

Speaker 20 (38:45):
So those negotiations will be taking place in Congressional Republicans
also seem willing to negotiate and acknowledge that some changes
to ICE's operations, that those are necessary, but senators like
Lindsay Graham warning his colleagues not to give away too much.

Speaker 3 (38:59):
Oh no, Lindsey Graham, Oh no, ay. I saw him
this weekend once again trying to figure out how we
can invade Iran, which I'm sure at some point in
time something's gonna happen. We'll touch on that a little
bit later, but still that's where we are in this
situation with the big shutdown, which I do not think
will be shut down as long as the last one.
I think they'll get something done temporarily tomorrow and then

(39:23):
move on from there. Last night, the Grammys I checked,
didn't I couldn't find my invite. I figured they must
lost it, so I was like, oh, well, i'll see
if I went on television. I didn't win because I
don't play music. I know, right, I like it, but
I don't play it. Bad Bunny making Grammy's history and
the Grammy goes to.

Speaker 22 (39:47):
Bad Bunny, the Puerto Rican superstar, becoming the first Spanish
language artist to win the biggest award of the night
Album of the Year, the win kicking off a historic
week for the thirty one year old. On Sunday, He'll
take Centers did the Super Bowl halftime show.

Speaker 3 (40:02):
Yes, he will. I got an email and I'm wondering
if I should talk about it or not. It was
a brutal email to me about Bad Bunny, and I
was it was so it was so bizarre right that
I wouldn't let my wife see it because it was awful.
I sent it to my producer, my buddy, and they

(40:24):
were like, oh my god, I know, I'm like right
like this. I get a lot of these. This one
was extra, just bizarre. Bad Bunny gave a speech last
night and by the way, he wasn't in a dress.
He wasn't in a dress. That's the big thing. He's
gonna wear a dress at the super Bowl. Oh my god,
I'll never watch a super Bowl. I'm taking a stand.
I'm like, well that's you. Good for you. I'm gonna

(40:46):
watch it. So there you go. See, so we canceled
each other out. What do you think of those apples?

Speaker 23 (40:53):
Before I say thanks to God, I'm gonna say, eyes out.
We're not savage, We're not animals, we're not aliens. We

(41:13):
are humans, and we are Americans. Also, I want to
say to the people, I know it's it's tough to
know not to hate on these days. And I was thinking,

(41:34):
sometimes we get contaminaus. I don't know how to say
that in English.

Speaker 3 (41:44):
The hate get more powerful with more hate.

Speaker 23 (41:49):
The only thing that is more powerful than hate is love.
So please, we need to be different. If we fight,
we have to do it. We'd love if. Yeah, we
don't hate them.

Speaker 3 (42:07):
We love our people, we love our.

Speaker 23 (42:10):
Family, and that's that way to do it. We'd love.
Don't forget that.

Speaker 13 (42:14):
Please, thank you.

Speaker 3 (42:16):
So there you go. Biggest artist arguably in the world.
So it's gonna be uh interesting this week. The hate
I get because I'm like, well, I see why they're
bringing them on the super Bowl, it is the biggest start,
or something like, ah, you, I'll maybe read it for
you later. I got to beep a bunch of stuff
out because it was so ridiculous and so full of hate,

(42:39):
which is, you know, par for the course, par for
the course. A bunch of other people won last night.
The biggest, most entertaining portion of the program is when
they let Share come on stage and I guess she
got a Lifetime Achievement award, right, So she comes on stage,
she gets her Lifetime Achievement award, and she's supposed to
do something. I go, yeah, I guess.

Speaker 5 (43:01):
I was supposed to walk off more all right, I
have to walk off.

Speaker 24 (43:05):
And no, no, no, before you go, before you go,
Share Shore, before you go, could we get you to announce.

Speaker 3 (43:23):
The nominees? I could do it, but it's not the same.
I don't have I don't have the track record. Welcome back,
Share everybody, And so she wanders off, right, and then
she kind of doesn't know what to do. Then come
on back, come on back. So you're supposed to read
the nominees, and then who wins the Song of the Year,

(43:47):
And the grammar goes.

Speaker 25 (43:48):
To, oh they told me it was going to be
on the prompter.

Speaker 26 (44:03):
Oh, the comic goes to Luther ground.

Speaker 3 (44:05):
Rose who the song is just called Luther Kendrick Lamar
and Sizza and it's about Luther Vandrose And it's not
Luther Vandros who won the Song of the Year because
he's no longer with us. Oh my lord. Three, two, three, five, three, eight,

(44:28):
twenty four, twenty three at ched Benson show, jacks your
inst YouTube, Facebook, and more. A lot of stuff to
get to this hour. Uh, it is cold out there,
and it's that day, the second of February. Right, that's
Groundhog Day. That's Groundhog Day. That's Groundhog Day. See what
I'm doing right there for the movie. So you guys
know the groundhog, right, they come out there, they they

(44:50):
rock and roll, have a lot of fun. This is
how the thing began. There's thousands of people there right
at hob Nobler you know thing whatever it's called square
and they're out dance and get all these people out
there waiting for the want of your raccoon to come
up there. It's not a raccoon yet, I know, it's

(45:11):
a groundhog, guys, right, So they're waiting and they're waiting
and they're waiting, and they're waiting and waiting and waiting,
and everybody's dancing and singing and stuff. And then eventually
he gets to the point where they announce it's time.

Speaker 5 (45:23):
It's time for the pesky crown hog to make his
way up and to deliver it. But first, right with
all the stuff going on, you've got to do what
you got to announce it's bucksa Dottie fell.

Speaker 3 (45:39):
And they did. So Bunks is on a phil They
open him up from the you know, giant stump, so
they bring him out. The guy knocks three times and
they open the little door. The guy gets in there
and he scrambles around and gets him and he brings
him out his box donny fail and they hold him
up right and it break us crazy.

Speaker 13 (45:59):
And then.

Speaker 3 (46:01):
He maketh his decision. By the way, as far as
the decision goes, I'm going to give you the number
breakdown coming up a little bit. But what did he say? So,
if you've never seen it, they've got this giant stump right,
and they roll out a red carpetform on top of

(46:22):
the stump, and they bring over this giant metal case
and they open it up and they take up two
right proclamations, two scrolls, and they put them down, and
then Phil makes the choice out of those two, and
from there they unscroll its and well.

Speaker 4 (46:39):
Here ye, here, ye, here ye. It is my job
this February two to look to the skies and report
back to you that there is a shadow here on
my ground. Six more weeks of winter abound.

Speaker 3 (46:58):
So there we go, six more weeks of winter are abound. Thanks.
It's a buck satani phill. And if you're in the
south southeast parts of the midwest northeast, you know it's here.

Speaker 27 (47:12):
As we look at the East coast in general, the
blow average temperatures containue freeze warnings for interior Florida up
the east coast into the northeast. With the cold weather
advisories went to weather advisory in the Carolinas. That's more
due to the snow that fell yesterday and the frigid
conditions that mean Mother Nature isn't melting the snow.

Speaker 3 (47:29):
No, Mother Nature is not melting the snow. It's still
cold outside here. We got some snow yesterday morning out
here in a beautiferent Nashville, but it was a little
more humid, not as cold. As it's been and we
expect to see it warm up a little bit, but
there's some areas that are still going to struggle.

Speaker 18 (47:45):
Bring Most of the state of Florida is under a
freeze warning.

Speaker 27 (47:47):
We've got those frigid temperatures hanging around and the midwest
and northeast could see snow later this week.

Speaker 3 (47:54):
And if you're in Florida or parts of the South
where they've had invasive space these issues, but particularly Florida,
be careful because people are finding you go on to
sickles hitting the ground frozen. They're not dead, they're frozen,

(48:16):
and as it warms up, they warm up and become alive.
So just putting it out there, be careful for falling
iguanas in Florida. Coming up. Some more on Epstein, Snap
benefits are changing, some Iran news as well. A bunch
of good stuff on the way. But first, price Picks.

Speaker 1 (49:43):
Show, You're listening to the Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 3 (49:56):
Changes are a coming to SNAP. Those are the food
benefit because remember that the big battle of the food battle.
That's the one changes are coming.

Speaker 26 (50:08):
Among the changes, adults eighteen to sixty four without dependence
under fourteen must be working, participating in SNAP employment and
training programs, or volunteering for at least eighty hours per
month to receive the benefits soon. Adults who do not
meet the working requirements can only get SNAP benefits for
three months and a three year period.

Speaker 3 (50:28):
That is not the only change that is coming to SNAP,
but that's a big deal. That's a big deal. Doing
everything they can to figure out how they can make
sure that SNAP goes away as much as possible.

Speaker 26 (50:40):
And effective April first, some immigrants who previously qualified are
no longer eligible for SNAP, including refugees, as si les,
certain human trafficking victims, among others. SNAP recipients must also
continue to update their income in household information to ensure
they are receiving the correct benefits.

Speaker 3 (50:58):
So we're going to see what this looks like going forward. Obviously,
there's going to be a battle always when it comes
to something like SNAP, because you know Republicans, they don't
like a safety net whatsoever. Democrats want everybody to have
a safety net. I just want common sense when it
comes to it. And the worry about fraud is real,

(51:19):
and you can't say there hasn't been fraudt for a
lot of you out there is that you go, oh,
there doesn't have been no fraud. It's miniscule. No, there's
been enough fraud that we need to take a serious
look at a lot of these things. All that being said,
it's going to be interesting to see how this plays
itself out going forward, because all of these things are
going to be a part of what's coming when it

(51:39):
comes to the midterms, right whether it's the obviously the
healthcare debate that's going on. Still nothing I've heard nothing
about that they rolled out. They're bizarre kind of like,
don't get sick. That's good, and we're going to give
you guys some money. So there's that, and so there
you go, you're welcome. Is not a way to roll

(52:01):
something out. I like the dunk, Well, you can't get sick,
that's the first thing. It's gonna be great, But the sick,
don't do it. I wouldn't. I would never. Mike Johnson
would never right right, Mike, correct, And we're gonna give
you some money how much, some, how much of some
a little bit. We have no idea. So snap benefits

(52:22):
in this or all things in healthcare are all things
that are going to play big time in the midterms,
as we know, and as well as Epstein and everything
else that's going on, all of these things will play
a major part three two, three, five, three, eight, twenty
four to twenty three at Chad Benson Show. It is
your ext your instace, your YouTube. Love hearing from each

(52:44):
and every one of you. Let me know what you think.
You think this could come back to haunt the Republicans.
I think it will. I think it will. Love to
hear from you right here on the Chad Benson Show.
Over the weekend, something didn't happen, and I think a
lot of people, including myself, thought maybe there's a chance.
Right yeah, the app I've seen stuff come out that
did not go well. We'll talk about that throughout the day.
But the other side of it is Iran, right. So

(53:08):
usually when Epstein gets messaged somewhere, somebody gets in a
lot of trouble some other nation or kidding aside, how
many people have died. That's a big question. Is there
going to be some sort of action taken again, big question.

Speaker 28 (53:22):
They believe that more likely the number of killed was
closer to something like twenty thousand. Some are even saying
thirty thousand. It remains very difficult to get a clear
picture of what happened because Iran still has an internet
blackout there. People are very fearful of even seeking medical
treatment or coming forward. And we should say that our
colleagues who have been speaking to people in Iran say

(53:43):
that many people there are still looking for their loved
ones who have gone missing. They fear who could have
been killed or arrested.

Speaker 3 (53:50):
I have no idea. Again, We're going to have our
buddy Mike Clines military Anaelsan tomorrow to talk about it.
I do think something is going to happen because I
think Trump painted himself into a corner where he threatened
them then bizarrely backed away. Yet they're still out there fighting,
it looks like on the streets at least, trying to
take you know, as many opportunities to have their voice heard.

(54:14):
And so it's going to be interesting to see what
happens in the next few days. No doubt about that
three two, three five, twenty four, twenty three at Chad
Benson Show, You're Act, your instat YouTube and everything else.

Speaker 14 (54:22):
Chad Benson Show, then Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 1 (54:45):
The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 3 (54:47):
Last night at the Grammys, Jelly Roll won himself a
Grammy gave a heart warming, heart rendering speech What's the thought?
Was awesome.

Speaker 29 (55:00):
I know they're gonna try to kick me off here,
so just let me try to get this out. First
of all, Jesus, I hear you, and I'm listening.

Speaker 2 (55:06):
Lord.

Speaker 29 (55:06):
I am listening Lord. Second of all, I want to
thank my beautiful wife. I would have never changed my
life without you. I'd ended up dead or in jail.
I'd have killed myself if it wasn't for you, and Jesus,
I thank you for that.

Speaker 13 (55:17):
I thank you for my.

Speaker 30 (55:17):
Label Broken Bow a country radio.

Speaker 2 (55:20):
Baby.

Speaker 13 (55:20):
What's up?

Speaker 3 (55:21):
Dog?

Speaker 13 (55:22):
Oh Republic? John and Neely we did it, baby.

Speaker 29 (55:25):
There was a time in my life y'all that I
was I was broken. That's why I wrote this album.
I didn't think I had a chance, y'all. There was
days that I thought the darkest things. I was a
horrible human. There was a moment in my life that
all I had was a Bible this big in a
radio the same size, and a six by eight foot
sell And I believe that those two things could change
my life. I believe that music had the power to

(55:45):
change my life, and God had the power to change
my life.

Speaker 30 (55:48):
And I want to tell y'all right now, Jesus is
for everybody. Jesus is not owned by one political party.
Jesus is not on by.

Speaker 2 (55:56):
No music label.

Speaker 30 (55:57):
Jesus is Jesus ain't anybody can have a relationship with him.

Speaker 13 (56:01):
I love you.

Speaker 3 (56:02):
Lord, how about that? Huh? Thought that was pretty good.
Jelly then was asked, as everybody is in some way,
shape or form. Now how do you feel about stuff afterwards?
So you go from the Grammy's right, so you go,
you do your thing on stage, and you go they
whisky whisk into the back, so you go to the
back and then there's all the music writers and everybody

(56:24):
there to ask you questions. And one of the questions
was about what's going on currently politically in our country.

Speaker 29 (56:30):
That people shouldn't care to hear my opinion. Man, you know,
I'm a dumb redneck. I haven't watched enough. I didn't
have a phone for eighteen months. I've had one for
four months and don't have social media. I hate to
be the artist is static aloof but I just I've
come so disconnected from what's happening, and I'm just not
a I grew up in a house of like insane
pandemonium and like like I didn't even know politics were

(56:53):
real until I was in my mid twenties in jail.
Like that's how disconnected when you grow up in a
drug addict household. Think we like have common calls about
what's happening in world politics, Like we're just trying to
find a way to survive, man, you know. And I
have a lot to say about it, and I'm going
to in the next week, and everybody's gonna hear exactly
what I have to say about it in the most
loud and clear way I've ever spoke in my life.

Speaker 13 (57:15):
So I look forward to it.

Speaker 29 (57:17):
Thank you for bringing it up.

Speaker 3 (57:18):
Ooh, so I mean he's got a song coming out?

Speaker 10 (57:20):
Mm?

Speaker 3 (57:21):
Very interesting. Indeed, speaking of interesting, an article over the
weekend came out about U and I've mentioned it on
numerous occasions that if this was Biden, and I think
Biden did some shady things we'd have some serious questions
that needed to be answered, and everybody's all poop poo in.
That same goes for Trump and the family itself. So

(57:44):
if you guys haven't seen, over the weekend, an article
came out in the Wall Street Journal about monies that
the family has made, and in particular, one purchase into
a Trump family business that is raising some serious eyebrows.

Speaker 31 (58:07):
Just days before Trump's second inauguration, the journal reports forty
nine percent nearly half of the Trump family crypto company
World Liberty Financial, was purchased for five hundred million dollars
by Shaik Tannun bin Zayed al Nayan, who heads the
United Arab Emirates State Investment Fund and serves as national
security advisor, sometimes referred to as the Spy Shake. The

(58:28):
deal confirmed in a statement from World Liberty Financial to
ABC News, and unlike any business transaction connected to a
sitting president before sparking a firestorm of conflict of interest concerns.

Speaker 3 (58:39):
Yeah, I have some serious questions. I think that needs
to be asked and answered, because it's not just this
go look at the amount of money he has made
and the family has made for I don't know if
the last thirteen plus months through the roof, we've talked

(59:00):
about how much Baron's worth, right, the amount of money
they're making, And don't tell me what I didn't know about.

Speaker 31 (59:06):
It, The journal reporting the Trump family earned an upfront
payment of an estimated one hundred and eighty seven million
in the deal, with another thirty one million reportedly going
to the family of Trump's Middle East envoy Steve Whitkoff,
also involved in the crypto company. Months later, the Trump
administration approved something the Shaikh and others in the Uegi
long coveted, the sale of hundreds of thousands of cutting

(59:28):
edge American artificial intelligence chips to that country, a move
the previous administration blocked where the state of the art
technology could be sold or smuggled to China.

Speaker 3 (59:38):
What no way, And nary a word from a lot
of people out there on the right right who bitched
and whined and moaned and threw fits and argued and
screamed and yelled about, Oh my god, look at the
Biden crime family. Look at the Biden crime family. Look
at the Biden crime family. Yeah, okay, let's look at it.
I've got zero problems. Let's go look at all of

(59:59):
the p out there, who kiss ass right, who take donations,
oh excuse me, who take political donations and do nothing
but what's right for the people, And then what somehow
they enrich themselves and it's just luck. No, come on,
let's have some serious conversation here.

Speaker 31 (01:00:18):
Senator Elizabeth Warren writing the administration quote sold out American
national security in order to benefit the president's crypto company.
A spokesman for World Liberty Financial telling ABC News any
claim that this deal had anything to do with the
administration's actions on chips is one hundred percent false.

Speaker 3 (01:00:35):
Does anybody believe that? Does anybody buy that at all? Anybody?
UAE wouldn't happen before, even under the bumbler that was Biden.
All of a sudden happens here when there is what
a buy in to the company. Go look at all

(01:00:59):
of these from pardons to all of this stuff. What
is taking place? It is a proverbial. They're just printing
money for the family, and we should be pissed.

Speaker 31 (01:01:07):
A spokesman for World Liberty Financial telling ABC News, neither
the President nor Whitcoff had any involvement and haven't been
involved in the company since taking office. But the Trump family,
including the president, still own a thirty eight percent stake
in World Liberty, and its website lists Trump and whitcof
as co founder emeritus. Not mentioned on the site the
firm's uaebackers.

Speaker 3 (01:01:29):
Now, do I think that they directly had anything to do?
Not so much, But Don Junior and Eric absolutely. And
do you think they're pulling any big levers if you will,
or levers depending on how you want. Is it without
Pops knowing about it? Yeah, you're fooling yourself, Absolutely fooling yourself.

(01:01:52):
Todd Blantz was asked about it this weekend.

Speaker 32 (01:01:54):
I ask you about a report breaking in the Wall
Street Journal overnight. I want to show the headline right now.
It's the headline's saying the spysheek bought secret steak in
Trump company. Five hundred million dollar investment for forty nine
percent of World Liberty came months before UEA went access
to tightly guarded American AI chips. It's referring to the
National Security Advisor to the UEA chic to Noon, and

(01:02:14):
he made this investment just before President Trump was inaugurated.
The article goes on to say the deal marks something
unprecedented in American politics, a foreign government official taking a
major owner ownership stake in an incoming US president's company.
This is the company of President Trump's family. Eric Trump
is the is the president of the company Trump. President

(01:02:35):
Trump is listed as the founder ameritus, though he's not
running it directly right now? How do you respond to
those who say this is a serious conflict of interest?

Speaker 8 (01:02:43):
I love it when when these papers talk about something
being unprecedented or never happening before, as if the Biden
family and the Biden administration didn't do exactly the same
thing and they were just in office.

Speaker 3 (01:02:54):
So again I don't care. So what you're saying is, yeah,
they're guilty, but the people before they were guilty too,
And why didn't anybody say anything? People did and nobody
did anything.

Speaker 13 (01:03:04):
I saw that article.

Speaker 8 (01:03:05):
I don't have a comment on it beyond the President
Trump has been completely transparent. When his family travels for
business reasons, they don't do so in secret. We don't
learn about it when we find a laptop a few
years later. We learned about it when it's happening. And
so there's nothing unprecedented about about a about the Trump
organization going out and trying to make investments that that

(01:03:27):
basically all will come back to the American people and
jobs in this country. And and so this idea that
there's something untoward or unprecedented is just a repeated story
that isn't true. And and that's and I think that
that the American people know that, and the fact that
we talked about unprecedented and this is something that doesn't happen.

Speaker 13 (01:03:46):
Is just not true.

Speaker 8 (01:03:47):
And it's it's it shouldn't be said by these so
called newspapers that are saying it.

Speaker 3 (01:03:52):
You are so full of crap. It is amazing you
were it is. It's such crap, It is absolutely crap.
Don't don't even tell her. Yeah, well, this is we're
doing it for the American people. Really, you're doing it
for the American people. So the American people are going
to get a piece of this. So the American people
are going to come out on the other end of
this with a big smile on their face. And yeah,
we'll getting all kinds of money at jobs everywhere, all
kinds of jobs. Look at all the jobs, crypto jobs everywhere.

(01:04:15):
Everybody got a crypto job. Yeah, I don't buy that.
Nobody buys that. Nobody does well.

Speaker 32 (01:04:21):
The President doesn't run the company, but he does profit
from His financial disclosure show he's received funds from that
and a law professor, Kathleen Clark, is quoted in the
article saying this sure looks like a violation of the
foreign Amolument's clause. Ty Cobb, who served as President Trump's
lawyer and during the first administration, said, quote, my advice
as an ethics layer would have been clear. You don't
do business deals with the families of the leaders of

(01:04:43):
foreign countries. It taints the American foreign policy. How do
you respond to mister Cobb.

Speaker 3 (01:04:47):
I don't have a response to that guy. I mean
that guy hasn't said.

Speaker 8 (01:04:50):
A non partisan thing in the past four years. I
mean I could have predicted what you just said.

Speaker 2 (01:04:55):
He would say. That's what he says.

Speaker 8 (01:04:56):
Every time anything comes out about the president. I don't
have a The president is ethical. He talks more to
the press. He says what's happening more than any president
in history. You have a question about it, you can
ask him.

Speaker 13 (01:05:07):
He gaggled on.

Speaker 8 (01:05:08):
The plane last night at midnight for like twenty minutes. Okay.
So like the fact that Tykobb claims that he would
have counseled something different than the president. Okay, I mean
that guy. I mean I don't have a response to that.

Speaker 3 (01:05:20):
Oh you said a lot without saying anything. I know
you don't have a response to that. Oh yeah, but
all these jobs are coming back. Everybody's gonna get rich.
It's we're never gonna get any richer than we are
right now.

Speaker 33 (01:05:30):
It's gonna be so rich. We're gonna make so much money.
Oh my god, It's just it's never been better. It's
the greatest of all time. It's the biggest, baddest A
la la lah.

Speaker 3 (01:05:41):
Can we not ask the question? By the way, if
you want to go, there are several sites that talk
about Trump and his family and how much money they
have made from the bitcoin stuff, right from World Liberty Byance,
right Pakistan, all these people that have invested money, right
and and to even Malania's movie as well. Where you

(01:06:03):
don't think that they're spending seventy five million dollars Amazon
and what not to cozy up. Of course they are,
and we expect it to a certain extent, but at
least pretend like you're not even you know, at least
pretend like you're trying to make it look like there's
no impropriety. You're going on pretend just a smidge act like, yeah,

(01:06:30):
there's no propriety going nothing's going on. I don't worry
about it. There's nothing happening here. You got nothing to
worry about. Nothing, at least, pretend you're not even doing that.
You're just telling to make the checkout to me. Could
you do make it out to whom it may concern.
Here's all the money that you want, so we can

(01:06:53):
get closer to you. And if you're buying that, you're
an idiot. And if your entire argument is Biden did it,
so we should do it. So you said it was
bad when Biden, Well he did it, so, so why
shouldn't we do it. He'd have a gift shop if
he could to everybody that comes and visits. In the

(01:07:16):
gift shop, there'd be one for the average person. Right,
you want to buy a you want to buy a
Trump hat make America a Great Again hat? And then
on this side, all of the people that have a
chance because they spend so much money with Trump on
the way out, they could decide where they want to
donate their money next time they come to pay tribute.

Speaker 3 (01:09:25):
Say, it may be February, but we're still learning because
that's what we do. Kids, We're learning. We got some
maxin going on.

Speaker 2 (01:09:36):
Now, it's time for the urban word of the day.

Speaker 15 (01:09:39):
The young have a vocabulary all their own, and we
break it down for you.

Speaker 2 (01:09:44):
It's called the urban word of the day.

Speaker 3 (01:09:48):
All right, your wormy word of the day. Worbing. Uh,
that's not a word. Actually, worbing word is a word.
But your urban word of the day. Are you ready
for this? Hate maxing? What hate maxing? That is the
act of intensively rooting against a person, team, organization, or
entity out of sheer dislike, deriving satisfaction from their failures.

(01:10:11):
Oh so, if you are a fan of Seattle this weekend,
you're gonna be hate maxing the Patriots. And if you're
a fan of the Patriots, you would be hate maxing
the Seahawks. Hate maxing is your urban word of the day.

Speaker 2 (01:10:28):
That was the urban word of the day.

Speaker 3 (01:10:31):
Now you know, you know kind of maxing else is out?
There's plenty of them. How about this one?

Speaker 34 (01:10:37):
A term popularized by gen Z, fibermaxing focuses on purposefully
adding more fiber to your diet. Social media videos show
influencers piling on foods like soaked chia seeds, beans, and
starchy vegetables. Unlike many online health trends, this one has
earned support from registered dietitians and other nutrition experts. The
FDA and other health organizations recommend to getting about twenty

(01:11:00):
five to thirty five grams of fiber each day, but
most Americans don't come close to that amount. So being
more intentional about fiber rich foods. It's a good thing.

Speaker 3 (01:11:09):
It is a good thing. So always nice to have
a lot of fiber. You know what I mean? Ohge nice,
have a lot of fiber. Fiber in your body, fiber
your shage, hair, do you say you?

Speaker 34 (01:11:16):
Fiber Research consistently shows that dietary fiber supports heart and
gut health. As an added benefit, high fiber foods can
help weight management by making you feel full longer. Still,
eating too much fiber too quickly can cause dehydration, bloating,
and stomach discomfort. People with Crohn's disease, alterative colitis, or
a history of intestinal surgery should talk with the doctor

(01:11:37):
before making significant changes to their fiber intake.

Speaker 3 (01:11:41):
So fibermaxing, put a lot of fiber on stuff, right,
make sure he keeps you for self regular. You know
what you're staying. Show's nice. Give you chelf regular on
that dair's thing.

Speaker 13 (01:11:51):
Fiber.

Speaker 3 (01:11:52):
So the urban word on our mind everybody was hate maxing.
That's where you put extra hate on something. Fibermaxing is
where you put extra fiber on stuff to give you
that nice regular balance. What are you talking about? I
don't know where fun three, two, three, five, three, eight,

(01:12:13):
twenty four, twenty three at Chad Benson Show, gets your acts,
your Insta, YouTube, and everything else right here on the
Chad Benson Show. Coming up, our number three of the

in front of us. I think you guys gonna enjoy that.
We're gonna do it every single money. On top of
that some Epstein stuff, We've got a hilarious story about
a boxer this weekend that let's just say, it was
one of the most hilarious and bizarre things you will

(01:12:55):
ever see in sports, and it was incredible. We're going
to talk about about that, among other things. If you're
missing the show, sham when you've grabbed the podcast. Our
number three of The Chad Benson Show. Straight ahead.

Speaker 1 (01:13:07):
This is the Chad Benson Show. The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 3 (01:13:36):
It is ground hurd day to see if I'm better
than this guy row way better than that guy. You
guys know that. You guys know that, all right, bring
him out, Bring him out. It's buck Sadie, all right, Phil,

(01:13:56):
don't screw with us. Give it to a straight could
be cold for six week, it's gonna be hot. You
tell me, you tell me, you tell me.

Speaker 4 (01:14:05):
Here ye here, ye here ye. It is my job
this February two to look to the skies and report
back to you that there is a shadow.

Speaker 13 (01:14:17):
Here on my ground. Six more weeks of winter abound.

Speaker 3 (01:14:24):
Boo boo, you rat booooo. He has spoken, The weather
weasel spoken and said no spring for you soon, you
goon and alas more weeks of pence, not for me,

(01:14:46):
but for other people. Probably all right now onto something
that is a big deal that the Republicans need to
pay attention to if you want to win. I'm giving
you this for free. Pay attention you ass handed to
you in an area this weekend for a Texas State
Senate race that everybody should pay attention to in Texas,

(01:15:12):
just outside of Dallas and Tarrant County. Okay, pay attention
fort Worth area. Pay attention. You lost bigly, a massive switch.
You lost. Why, Well, it's simple, the same reason the

(01:15:33):
Democrats lose. You're not paying attention to the real issues.
So what took place this weekend, Well, there was a
race special election. It was a for a Texas Senate seat,
and a union member, right, former Air Force member, went

(01:15:54):
out and did what he needed to do, talked about
the things that he needed to and Taylor remnant on.

Speaker 35 (01:16:00):
This isn't just a big deal in normal world. This
is a huge jeld fort Worth, Texas.

Speaker 36 (01:16:04):
A Democrat will represent a large portion of Fort Worth
and its northern suburbs and the Texas State Senate.

Speaker 13 (01:16:10):
Well, it certainly should be a wake up call for Republicans.

Speaker 36 (01:16:14):
In saturday special election runoff, Democrat Taylor Ramett got fifty
seven percent of the vote, beating Conservative Lee Walmsgonzay's forty
two percent. A breakdown a voter turnout shows his supporters
out voting Republicans in the heart of the district. It's
a major reversal from twenty twenty four when President Donald
Trump won the vote by seventeen points.

Speaker 3 (01:16:37):
That's huge. That is huge. That is a big deal.
It is Texas It is not San Francisco. It is
not even just the outskirts of maybe some states that
you know, like like perfect example is say parts of Phoenix, right,
so Arizona should be solidly read. It's been blue before.

(01:16:59):
Now it's kind of purplish. No, this is Texas. Texas
is dead rid.

Speaker 36 (01:17:05):
Trump endorsed Walmsgons, but told reporters Sunday he was unaware
of the results.

Speaker 2 (01:17:11):
I'm not involved with that.

Speaker 12 (01:17:12):
That's a local Texas.

Speaker 36 (01:17:13):
Right woms Goons also outraised Ramet by more than a
million dollars, says chair of the Tarrent County Democratic Party
Allison Campolo.

Speaker 35 (01:17:21):
Easily ten to one, outspent in every facet, in every way.
But we have seen both in November and in January.
He can just throw money at this.

Speaker 3 (01:17:30):
No, you can't. You have to have a message that works.
You have the message that resonates with people, and that
is what he did.

Speaker 36 (01:17:36):
Republican media strategist Alfredo Rodriguez says it should send a
message to Republicans around the nation ahead of midterms. He
says the key is to focus on the issues that
matter most.

Speaker 32 (01:17:49):
You need to, as a candidate, address the concerns of voters.

Speaker 3 (01:17:52):
And top of mind right now is the economy.

Speaker 30 (01:17:55):
Sitting down at the kitchen table and making sure that
we can pay our.

Speaker 3 (01:17:58):
Bills right there. Number one thing. A lot of Republicans
and I keep talking to them about this because again
I talk to a lot of people in the world
of politics, on both the right and the left. And
I'm here to tell you right now, as I've been
telling them, Okay, you guys, one with it. Before the

(01:18:19):
cultural war, people don't care about that. Right now, they don't.
They do not care about the cultural war. They're over it.
What they care about is affordability. That's the focus. That's
what it needs to be, is affordability. The culture War's
not going anywhere, but it is not top of mind.
If everything's great and then we're like, well, we got

(01:18:41):
to choose between these two. That's one thing. People don't
feel everything's great and they're looking around going okay, affordability
is a real issue. We need to figure this out.

Speaker 36 (01:18:50):
Campolo believes those are the very issues driving people to
the polls to vote for Ramet.

Speaker 35 (01:18:56):
I want a candidate who's just going to fight for
them on bread and butter issues like jobs, healthcare, public education,
the basics.

Speaker 36 (01:19:03):
Both campaigns are now gearing up for the general election,
when they will face each other again. In his statement,
Walm's Gone says she expects different results in November.

Speaker 3 (01:19:13):
Campolo says, we're met.

Speaker 36 (01:19:14):
Will continue making phone calls and meeting voters where they're at.

Speaker 3 (01:19:18):
And I think that's a smart thing to do. It's
one hundred percent a smart thing to do. Focus on
the things that matter, and you're going to start to win.
It's the big net. You throw that net out there,
make it wide, make it big. Why Because you're trying
to get people to come into your big tent so
you can expand your tent. You can bring more people
to your tent. You can show people this is what
it's all about. That guy did this. He did fighting

(01:19:44):
people on whether or not certain books should be in
a library. When you're trying to figure out how to
pay for your rent or your you know, how you're
going to pay for your gas or what you know
company you have to call up to see if they
can push out a payment for a week or two
so they can still keep your phone on, your lights on.
That matters more, right now, that matters more. It does,

(01:20:06):
And whoever sticks that message best is going to win
in the midterms. And it's funny because Democrats, you guys,
will jack the pooch at any given time too. This
is James Carville talking about why the Dems are such
a mess.

Speaker 10 (01:20:22):
Democratic culture became very feminized, in very judgmental, and that
is why we push so many of these males away,
particularly younger males.

Speaker 19 (01:20:37):
I hate the.

Speaker 10 (01:20:37):
Word, are younger, non white, younger non white men, black
and Hispanic males exactly.

Speaker 3 (01:20:42):
Okay, So you hear him talking about that black and
Hispanic like the feminization of the culture, especially amongst the Democrats,
because they were telling them. They sit there and he says, okay.

Speaker 10 (01:20:53):
So a guy who works at a tar shop in
South Atlanta, he's in a July he he's changed the
tires all days, widing wheels, and he goes home and
they says, don't drink beer, don't eat hamburgers, don't watch football, don't.

Speaker 2 (01:21:08):
Have second Then what do you want me to do.

Speaker 3 (01:21:11):
I've been not there working my ass.

Speaker 13 (01:21:12):
I want to have.

Speaker 10 (01:21:13):
A beer and watch the game and you know, smoke
dope and have sex with my girlfriend.

Speaker 3 (01:21:19):
Well, there's nothing wrong with that. Why Why are we
telling you?

Speaker 10 (01:21:23):
And it became and you could feel it in the
culture and everybody had their finger in their face telling
them what not to do.

Speaker 3 (01:21:39):
And that right there is perfect. Culture wars work in
some places when it's brought up. And I'm looking at
both of you, Republicans and Democrats, But what people care
about is the cost of life. The cost of living
each and every single day. They're not asked you to

(01:22:00):
make things completely affordable. What they're asking you to do
is do the things you're supposed to do, fight in
the airs you're supposed to and stop telling everybody life
is great because the wealthy are getting richer and you're struggling. No,
that isn't going to work. Republicans and Democrats. Keep doing

(01:22:22):
crazy things, keep supporting crazy ideas like what James Carvel said,
and you're going to pay the price too. So yeah,
this should be a wake up call for all Republicans
right now. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four
to twenty three, atch you head Benson show, is your acts,
your Insta, YouTube, Facebook, and more. Over the weekend, people

(01:22:44):
are digging through the three million that is a lot,
three million pages of Epstein files. Is another three million still.

Speaker 7 (01:22:55):
Out the newly released document show in twenty twelve, Epstein
emailing tech billionaire Elon Musk allegedly discussing plans for Must
to visit Epstein's private island in the Caribbean and win email.
It appears Must ask quote what day night will be
the wildest party on your island? Must says he never
went to the island, and this weekend said he has

(01:23:15):
long advocated for the release of files. Epstein has been
coosing up to some of the most influential men on
the planet since the nineteen nineties. All have denied any
wrongdoing and any knowledge of crimes or Epstein targeting children.

Speaker 3 (01:23:29):
Yeah, okay, whatever. Was there over twelve hundred people that
were allegedly abused that have come forward, and maybe more
all kinds of people on these lists, including Trump and
some heinous stuff about Trump as well that they didn't
get out that I'm sure he is pissed about. And

(01:23:53):
Todd Blanche on Friday when he released this has the audacity.

Speaker 20 (01:23:56):
Is the public going to learn the identities of the
man who abused the girls with the information that you're
releasing And if not.

Speaker 13 (01:24:05):
Why not?

Speaker 8 (01:24:06):
You just baked in an assumption into your question that
I have never said, and I don't know to be true.
Is the public going to learn about men that abuse
these girls?

Speaker 3 (01:24:16):
Like?

Speaker 13 (01:24:16):
What does that mean? I understand what that means.

Speaker 4 (01:24:19):
Well, I mean they're the men who abuse the young
women through Epstein's through.

Speaker 8 (01:24:28):
We said in July, and it remains as true today
as it was in July. If we had information we
meeting the Department of Justice about men who abused women,
we would we would, we would prosecute them. There's this
built an assumption that somehow there's this hidden, transient information
of men that we know about that we're covering up,

(01:24:50):
or that we're not we're choosing not to prosecute.

Speaker 3 (01:24:52):
That is not the case.

Speaker 8 (01:24:53):
I don't know whether there are men out there that
abuse these women. If we learn about information and evidence
that that allows us to prosecute them, you better believe
we will. But I don't think that that the public
or you all are going to uncover men within the
Epstein files that abuse women.

Speaker 3 (01:25:14):
Unfortunately, liar, I call bs. I think a lot of
you do as well. Three two, three, five, three eight,

You're listening to the Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 3 (01:26:35):
Now it's time to find out what's trending. What's trending?

Speaker 2 (01:26:39):
Sign James.

Speaker 3 (01:26:47):
Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, Serene.

Speaker 26 (01:26:56):
Jump what thing?

Speaker 3 (01:27:03):
That's why I was treading on the indewebs on this Monday.
I'm gonna tell you guys, a lot of what's trending
has to do with the Grammys, the Grammys, which were
last night. It's gonna put that out there. Yahoo Chapel
Roan Grammys. Her dress basically just her nipples. She wore

(01:27:26):
her top. Oh my god, whatever, I'm so shocked. Okay,
Groundhog Day Lindsay Vaughan, Jerrell Miller. If you don't know
who that is. We talk about this in a second.
The most bizarre you think you think a lot of
things in boxing is bizarre. This one is definitely in
the top three and maybe the funniest thing I've seen

(01:27:49):
in boxing. Florida iguanas. Because of the cold, they're falling
out of the trees. People are coming out and they're
iguanas frozen everywhere on the ground. Over to Google and
we're trending thing, over two million searches, Grammy Winners, Chapel,
Ron Bad Bunny, Groundhog Day, Share that was Bizarre, Lakers, Nicks,

(01:28:18):
Justin Bieber, Young Blood, Lauren Hill, all these magical things.
Addison Ray Oh geez yeah, finally over to X. So
you notice how we got a lot of stuff with
the Grammys. Okay, now over to XE. One of them
one trending things besides the Grammy's Good Monday, Groundhog Day,

(01:28:39):
Trevor Noah, Billie, Eilish, Puck, Suptany, Phil, the Kennedy Center,
Beaver Massey, Thomas, Hollywooard, Justin Rose, Ricky Gervais, Trump, Epstein
cover up, no thinking, maybe the Masade Hamas Kennedy Center.

(01:29:04):
It's the Trump Kennedy Center, whatever it is. It's closing
for the next two years for refurbishment. I think Cash
Mattel is also trending something I'm sure he's not thrilled
by with the release of more files from Epstein three, two, three, five,
three eight, twenty four, twenty three at Chad Benson shows

(01:29:27):
your ex, your Insta, your YouTube, your Facebook, and more
right here on The Chad Benson Show. So the boxing
over the weekend had Jarrell Miller fighting, so it was
not the main event. It was one of the undercards,
their heavyweights, and as they were slugging it out, something

(01:29:47):
happened to Jarrell Miller's hair off his head. Sergio, that
is going to make the rounds on social media.

Speaker 2 (01:29:56):
That's a cartoon.

Speaker 30 (01:30:00):
Oh my goodness, gracious, it is a two pegs and
he just.

Speaker 3 (01:30:05):
Took it off and threw the So Jerrell Miller who
was fighting, and he, by the way, he won split decision.
At one point a guy hit him and his hair
came crazy loose, and then it flipped backwards and then
when all of a sudden done, he took it off
and he throws it in the crowd and the people are asking,
what the hell happened to your hair, and he said veryly.

(01:30:26):
Dave four went to his mom's house, thought he had shampooed.
It was some sort of acid tone ers just made
his hair go crazy. So they got him a two
bay and it was awful and it just totally flew.
Oh my lord, sometimes you need the laugh. Faiful What
you do three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four
to twenty three at Chad Benson Show is your exit?

(01:30:47):
Your Insta and your YouTube coming up for good. Buddy
Jim Kennedy Kennedy Institute of Public Policy Research joins the program.
It's a new thing. We're calling mid Term Mondays. We're
break down the mid terms all the way up until
the midterms. That straight head Chad Benson, then Chad.

Speaker 1 (01:31:03):
Benson Show, The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 15 (01:31:29):
Now it's time for midterm Mondays. Well, we break down
the biggest races from the midterms.

Speaker 16 (01:31:35):
Who will control the House, who will control the Senate.
We discussed with Jim Kennedy midterm Mondays.

Speaker 3 (01:31:43):
All right, we're gonna be doing this every single Monday
all the way up to the midterms, called Midterm Mondays.
Our buddy, Jim Kennedy, Kennedy Institute Public Policy Research, are
going to join the program today. We're starting. We're going
broad big, Okay, We're looking at everything and then we'll
break down individual races as we go. Jim, exactly where
we stand when it comes to the House and the Senate.

Speaker 9 (01:32:03):
Okay, So currently the House is two eighteen with two
Republican vacancies douglam mofa in Northern California who died and
Merger Taylor Green are resigned, so that would be they
would bring the Republicans to twenty if the.

Speaker 13 (01:32:17):
Both of those seats go Republican.

Speaker 9 (01:32:19):
The California one is questionable because of the redistrict thing
out here and what's going to happen with that if
they're going to turn out for that seat.

Speaker 13 (01:32:26):
And I'm not sure when the special election is.

Speaker 9 (01:32:28):
I think Gavin's been dragging his heels on getting that thing.
It might not happen until the June primary out here,
so that would be a that's problem to be short
that seat for a while. In Virginia one, I think
it's going to be a tad bit quicker than that.
Now on the Democrats side, they're currently a two fourteen
that includes the Texas eighteen winner last night, and there's
one open, which is the Mickey Cheryl's seat, the New

(01:32:50):
Jersey woman who was the House member who ran for
governor and won and just took office for the governorship
in New Jersey. So they would have two fifteen soft
two twenty would be the number to give us a
two thirty five. And of those we've got as we're
jumping in the midterms, we've got twenty two Democrat retirements
to date and twenty six Republican retirements to date.

Speaker 13 (01:33:12):
Plus one non voting delegate.

Speaker 9 (01:33:14):
Of those Democrats, eight of those are leaving to go
jump into Senate seats Senate races, and eighteen Republicans are
running for other office besides the Senate. Mean though some
are governors, some are Senate, some are are our locals,
our state offices. So you know, the Republicans right now
sitting on a five on a five vote majority, but

(01:33:35):
again they're really not sitting on a five vote They're
sitting on a four vote based upon what's currently in there.
And if you look at some of the prediction markets,
the prediction markets are not generous to the Republicans. They're
looking at about seventy five to eighty percent the markets
that the markets are saying generally seventy five to eighty
percent that the Democrats are going to win, and the
Republicans only have a little over a twenty percent chance

(01:33:56):
of maintaining their slim margin of the House.

Speaker 3 (01:33:59):
Talking to Jim Nity, Kennidans to the public policy research
we're doing midterm Mondays, We're break down the midterms today.
We're giving you the broad as we kick this thing
off the broad look at everything, and then starting next
week we're going to look at specific races across the board.
It's how many seats, you know? Is it going to
be a tsunami? Is it going to be a trickle?
Is it going to be a nice wave? Is it
going to be that? I don't know, because again, you've

(01:34:20):
got some redistricting, and not all redistrictings can end up
the way that everybody thinks. You still have some court
battles out there, so this is going to be you know,
I mean, if they were to lose, you know, if
the Republicans would lose fifteen or twenty seats, that's that's
that's a big move right there. You know. I mean
you go back when who was it? What was the
last time we had that massive move was against Obama.

(01:34:43):
There's like forty seats that jumped.

Speaker 9 (01:34:45):
I think it was after the Obamacare because people just
didn't like Obamacare, so they basically swapped. They threw a
lot of people out. You know, it's hard to get
people out of those seats. You got to have a
serious sea change in the in the d versus our
numbers to get a lot of people out there. Aren't
that many swing anymore. They're pretty either pretty red or
pretty blue. And if you're gonna just kind of wonder

(01:35:06):
how that's all gonna work out with the numbers, to
start looking at those next week. By the way, some
some key retirements on their publican side, Jody Errington, who's
the chairman of the House Budget Committee, Andy Biggs, who
was in party leadership previously for the Republicans, and David
Sweikert for the Dems. Nancy Pelosi, former speaker legend in
California politics, like her hater, she's been a power player

(01:35:28):
for over close to forty years.

Speaker 13 (01:35:30):
In California politics.

Speaker 9 (01:35:31):
Lloyd Doggett and Jared Golden for the Democrats, or some
of the key retirements, and now those numbers aren't set yet,
but more of those could happen. And I know that
we've been talking on some of the shows that we
expect that number to get higher. We could see that
number get closer to sixty or maybe seventy by the
time we actually get to the filing deadlines for the primaries.

Speaker 3 (01:35:49):
Yeah, I know ken Buck was going to finish his
you know, out of Colorado, was going to finish everything,
and he decided no. Next Friday, you know, a couple
of days from now he's on, which puts them in
a really weird situation because with him leaving, that means Bobert,
who was going to run for that seat, now has
to potentially leave her seat and hopefully get appointed there

(01:36:12):
so she could run on that, which puts them in
another situation that is making everybody go, Okay, they're you know,
this isn't going to be you know, he may not.
He's gonna have some troubles because I don't think this
is the last we've heard of Republicans retiring. As I
look around Jim and Jim, I know there are several
out there that are still talking about that they may
this may be there, you know, time to bow out.
They think they're over the way the politics is. They're

(01:36:34):
frustrated with stuff, and and and some of them again
want to run for other offices.

Speaker 9 (01:36:39):
Yeah, like I said, it work forty nine right now,
so basically fifty. So like I said, it wouldn't be
surprised to get to see is certainly get to sixty
maybe even seventy on the on the Bucks seat.

Speaker 13 (01:36:48):
I think that one is going to have to be decided.

Speaker 9 (01:36:51):
It's going to have to be decided by special elections,
so I don't know if Bobert's going to jump in
and run. And I remember it's a democratic governor, so
he can do like a galvet and drag his heels
on when he wants to run that special election off
and can say, hey, you know, I don't want to
do a special election. We'll just do it during the
primary because you know, save money here. It's going to
cost us extra money to run a special election.

Speaker 13 (01:37:11):
So he may wait for a while on that one.
So I'll have to see it.

Speaker 9 (01:37:14):
Maybe I'll get some more information by that one for
next week to see if we get an update on
when that special election is going to be, and also
Margie Taylor Green's seat when that's going to be have
the special election.

Speaker 3 (01:37:24):
Talking to Jim Kennedy. Kennedy instead of public policy research,
it is midterm monthdays. We break down the midterms from
top to bottom. This is the first week we're doing it.
We're going to look at everything big wide picture, and
then starting next week we really start breaking down the
races to watch. The Senate. Senate's going to be interesting
because there was a you know, I think a lot
of people because we have the tendency to do this.
I mean, everybody knows it just gets go back in

(01:37:45):
time and look and say, all right, outside of Bush
the power, you know, the party that's in power tends
to lose seats no matter what. Outside of what was
happening nine to eleven, all of that stuff, we tend
to have a you know, a switch a little bit here.
We don't like this party to have too much power.
We we'll move over here. And the thought was, or

(01:38:05):
at least conventional thought was, and the Republicans are probably
going to lose the House, but not the Senate, although
that's kind of shrunk a little bit too, where the
Democrats are feeling like, you know, we have a chance
here with the Senate.

Speaker 13 (01:38:17):
They have a chance.

Speaker 9 (01:38:18):
So it's not that it's you know, it's about a
one in three shot of them winning it. Right now,
we're looking at fifty three Republicans forty seven Democrats, and
technically that's forty five Democrats plus Bernie Sanders from Vermont
and King from Maine are the two independents that caut
us with the Democrats. That makes it forty seven to
fifty three. Don't forget in the Senate with ties, the

(01:38:40):
tie goes to the Vice President, which of course is
a Republican JD vance. So that gives the Republicans a
win on anything that is not fifty one forty nine,
they'll win all, you know, they will carry all fifty
to fifty votes in the Senate for right.

Speaker 3 (01:38:53):
Now, there's some interesting seats out there. You know, you
and I know this. The Senate's a weird thing because
a lot of places can be right, but you can
have a split with Senate at times there, you know,
like as West Virginia, those things, like you said, with
the House, though that has changed over the years. Everything
has become so red and blue very few things. I mean,
to flip a Senate seat is a huge deal because

(01:39:16):
we've set ourselves up for red and blue states.

Speaker 13 (01:39:18):
Yeah, absolutely, and it really is, it really is that way.

Speaker 9 (01:39:21):
On the Democrats side, they've got Dick Durbin, who has
been a you know, leader in the for the Democrats
Senate senators from the Democrats side for a long time.
Geene gi Heen of New Hampshire's retiring Tina Smith. And Minnesota,
which will be interesting now with the current events in Minnesota,
how that's going to pan out. I don't think that
would be I don't think the Republicans are going to
probably do well, and that you never know that maybe

(01:39:42):
people are tired of them, tired of them writing in Minneapolis,
and then they decide the institute law and order and
vote a Republican and don't know again, got ten months.

Speaker 13 (01:39:49):
A lot of things are going to happen.

Speaker 9 (01:39:51):
I don't think they'll still be writing in Minneapolis come
August or September. They could be, but I'm guessing they
probably won't be. Gary Peters from Michigan's retiring on the
Republican side, he got Mitch McConnell, with a long time
majority leader for the for the Democrats and minority leader
when the Republicans are out of power, retiring Turtle.

Speaker 13 (01:40:10):
Mitch is sol Mitch may have stayed passed his cell
by date unfortunately.

Speaker 9 (01:40:18):
I don't want to make fun of the gentleman, but
when you have to be rebooted during a press conference,
it's generally not a good thing, you know. I appreciate
Mit Mitch McConnell's effort. He's been a master of the Senate.
Getting stuffed through that doesn't seem to make a lot
of sense. But somehow, just like Nancy Pelosi has been
able to do with the Democrats, he's been able to
keep the Republicans in line and gotten votes through that

(01:40:39):
you just didn't think he was going to be able
to do.

Speaker 13 (01:40:41):
And in the end he's got those votes and he
will be missed.

Speaker 9 (01:40:44):
I mean, you know, Thune's doing a good job, but
you know, he's really been pretty good. But again, he
may have stayed just a little bit longer than he
probably should have. Tom Tillis from North Carolina, not a
fan of President Trump's, is leaving, joining Yarns of Iowa's retiring,
Cynthony Loomis of Wyoming is retiring, and Tommy Tubberville of
Alabama coach Tubberville is not returning because he's going to

(01:41:07):
run for governor of Alabama instead. So that's going to
leave a seat that you would think the Republicans would
be able to win, along with the Wyoming seat, So
those should be solid Republicans. You would think the Illinois
seat should be. North Carolina's going to be a toss up,
and I would generally think Kentucky would be. But you know,
you've got a Democrat governor there now, and you got
Rand Paul who's not the most conservative Republican in the Senate.

(01:41:31):
So I don't know what's going to happen that one.
They may have to throw some money at to hold
that seat. Now Luckily, you know, like I said, it's
about a two to one favor of the Republicans holding
the Senate. You've got twenty two seats up for the
Republicans and thirteen up for the Democrats. And of those
two Republican two of those Republicans are special elections Florida

(01:41:52):
for Marco Rubil became Secretary of State under Trump, and
Ohio of course jd Vance now Vice president.

Speaker 3 (01:41:59):
It's talking to Jim Kennedy. Kennedy answered to Public Policy
Researcher Talk Midterm Mondays. We break down the mid terms
from top to bottom. Last question tonight, and again we're
gonna be doing this every Monday. How much is Trump
gonna play on a lot of these races across the board. Normally,
obviously the president plays a little bit of a role.

(01:42:20):
But we've had, let's be honest, this is essentially a
third term of Trump noise. We've had Trump as president twice.
In between we had Trump didn't go anywhere. But I
still and he wants to play a big role in
this because I think he feels like the only way
I'm gonna be able to save some of these things
is fike out there and sell it. That may not
be the best thing though in some areas.

Speaker 9 (01:42:41):
No his to me, Frank, his ability to pick candidates
was pretty bad.

Speaker 17 (01:42:46):
If you didn't like herschel Walker, that guy was awesome.
He was like the vampires, the vampires and.

Speaker 3 (01:42:52):
Then it was a were wolf and did the vampires
and were wolves are gonna fight each other? And that
was because there's no were wolves. It's good these like dogs.
Pause can't go outside that?

Speaker 9 (01:43:01):
That was insane, dude, Chad, how do you forget that
as much as you want?

Speaker 3 (01:43:06):
That was insane?

Speaker 9 (01:43:07):
Yes, And unfortunately he's a great running back, great fitness person,
probably not the best choice to run for Senate in
a seat that really should have been very winnable for
the Republican And if they had put a better candidate in,
it matters. Candidate quality matters, and I cannot say that more.
Someone on to tattoo that across Trump's head. Candidate quality matters.

(01:43:30):
I wonder with Susie Wiles how much is she gonna
have the ability to rain him in as going no, no, no,
you're not picking him that or you're not picking her that.
That's no, you're not that's not the right person. That
is not somebody who who is amongst one of the
most exclusive.

Speaker 13 (01:43:44):
Bodies in America.

Speaker 9 (01:43:46):
There's only one hundred members, you know, you're talking about
you know, the number of astronauts that have flown in
space is about that number less. So you're talking about
a very exclusive group that that's the US Senate. You
need somebody who has the stature to be in the
US Senate. You know, God bless mister Walker, but I
don't not believe he currently he necessarily had the fortitude

(01:44:07):
to be a US Senator. Now, speaking of that, Trump
has already opened his mouth and endorsed two candidates. Now,
these are not bad candidates from what I've seen, former
R and C chair Michael Wattley. And then for the
new Hampshire open seat that's a d C. Right now,
Democrats seat former Senator john Son, who I believe is
the son of Johnsonunu, who was the chief of staff

(01:44:28):
for President for President Reagan or Bush back in the
back in the eighties and has been in Sounu is
a legendary name in New Hampshire Republican politics for probably
fifty years. So he's going to be jumping in and
Trump is backchym So those are not bad ones. I mean,
he's been a senator before, Wally's been experiencing politics, former

(01:44:49):
RNC chair. So hopefully if he picks people like this
for some of these key races, that's going to be
a good thing. Picking athletes that are not necessarily up
to the task is not necessarily a good thing. And
we need basically quality candidates, especially in the seats that
you would think would be absolutely winnable that there should

(01:45:11):
be no brainers when it comes to you know, when
it comes to winning them. Georgia, like I said, was
a seat that should have been a no brainer to win.
North Carolina, see can is getting a little purply quite purple.

Speaker 13 (01:45:23):
The Republicans have won the last couple if I remember right, yea.

Speaker 9 (01:45:25):
But on a statewide election, if it's going to be
they're going to put Trump on the ballot in a
state that he barely won, it could be a tough race.
New Hampshire again is one of those toss ups. You
get a lot of influence from Boston up there. Small state,
you got to basically ring almost every doorbell in the
state if you're going to want to get elected there.
So New News done it before, so hopefully we can
do it again in the question bease, who are the

(01:45:46):
Democrats going to put up? And we can jump into
some of that next week when we can kind of
go back over some of the individual races and will
go over win some of these primaries are because the
primaries are stretched out for months and months and months throughout.

Speaker 13 (01:45:56):
The year before we get to the general.

Speaker 3 (01:45:59):

Betrayal Season 5

Betrayal Season 5

Saskia Inwood woke up one morning, knowing her life would never be the same. The night before, she learned the unimaginable – that the husband she knew in the light of day was a different person after dark. This season unpacks Saskia’s discovery of her husband’s secret life and her fight to bring him to justice. Along the way, we expose a crime that is just coming to light. This is also a story about the myth of the “perfect victim:” who gets believed, who gets doubted, and why. We follow Saskia as she works to reclaim her body, her voice, and her life.
