entire democratic establishment of the state on her side, and

she's trying to make the case that, you know, we
can't go too far left if you're if you're the Democrats.

We'll see how that one plays out. But then on
the other side, you've got Trump and the Republicans. And
Trump is making it about Trump because that's what he does,
because he feels the best way forward for the Republicans
is to grab a hold of his coattails.

For Republicans, it has been rallied around Donald Trump.

And Trump has.

Done everything he can truly to put himself on the
ballot this fault, even though his name won't be there.

be something of a referendum on his own presidency and

the war force hanging over him, and has a lot

of Republicans worried about that.

first and foremost. Before we came on the air, we
were talking about the insanity of what's going on in
North Carolina. So already Lindsey had won already, and then Lindsey,

of course has since passed away, but they moved one
cracker out into another one. His sister is now taking
over his seat until the election in November, and out
of nowhere, she magically thinks now that she can do
the job itself, so now she wants to run in November.

(19:03):
The confusion is tremendous.

Yeah, it is kind of a mess down in South
Carolina South Carolina Senate kind of thought was a was
a settle thing. Lindsay Graham was you know, won the
nomination easily, I think about seventy five twenty five over
Mark Lynch. Wasn't seen to be any issue there. It's
a solid red state. And then unfortunately Lindsay died and
not you know, thoughts and prayers out to the family.

(19:25):
Of course, real real tragedy. You know, interesting guy, real
you know, real solid guy in the Senate. But now
we've got there the Republicans, unlike what the Democrats that
in Maine, are going to have another primary election on
August eleventh, so basically two weeks from tomorrow. And right
now the polls have got Ralph Norman, who is a
congress from the South Carolina fifth is that is that

(19:48):
well eighteen or sixteen percent depending upon the poll, next
to Darley and Graham. And by the way, she has
dropped the Nordoni, which is her maiden name, because you
go through the FEC filings, she's finally in the fea
she had because when you took over the office and
he weren't going to run, she didn't have to file
any FEC documents. Now that she's a candidate for the office,
she had to file, and she has filed as Darlene Graham,

(20:10):
not Darlene they donate Graham. So she's really emphasizing the
grand part of it, at least the way that I
interpreted it. So one poll, like I said, as Norman
at eighteen point six, Graham at sixteen point three. Another
poll has Graham at twenty point eight and Norman at
sixteen point nine. The rest of the field a little
bit farther back. But there are about five or six
people that are in this race right now for the Republicans,

(20:33):
and because of that number, and nobody has got any
clear support. Now Graham may pull away again. We've got
two weeks until the primary is held, but it looks
like unless somebody gets people well, if somebody doesn't get
past fifty percent plus one vote, there will be a
runoff on August twenty fifth. And that's the way it's
looking right now, is that with this many people splitting
the vote up and no clear candidate that has really

gotten a ground swallow support, that they'll probably be a
runoff on the twenty fifth. But watch this, because the
names are coming fast and furious and I believe they
have until Friday of this week to throw their hat
into the ring. Nancy Mason said she wouldn't run, though
it seems to be tempting for her. The governor McMaster
hasn't run, probably won't, and polling at third in this

(21:19):
one pole is Lieutenant Governor Pamela Avett, who lost the
governor's primary because she ran for governor because she's being
turned out as a tenant governor is third in one
of the poles at a little under ten percent, So
she may see that and decide to jump in because
she doesn't have a job at the end of the year,
so why not run for Senate because hey, it's the
thing to do in South Carolina in early August.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
That's right. I'm also eight in the poll and I'm
not even throw my hat in yet because i don't
live in South Carolina. That's okay. Because Mark Sanford is
running again and he went to the Appalation, I mean Argentina.
They both started with an ajim.

Speaker 10 (21:53):
No, they actually did. That is a wonderful story, didn't
The thing I did not know is that even after
that debacle with you know, with the mistress, he came
back like eight years later and ran and won and
won in South South Carolina, won the congressional seat which
is actually now if I'm not mistaken, the seat that
Nancy Mace holds after he retired finally. So it's interesting. Yeah,

he must be really well liked in South Carolina to
have that kind of a political scandal on you, and
he was. I mean, it was something that was the
nation was focused on it because he disappeared and it
was just kind of a slow time and there is
talk of him in that time. He was a republic
He was an up and rising Republican and was talked
about as a possible presidential nominee come I think twenty

twelve or two thousand and eight. So yeah, he was
somebody that that could have had a brighter future in
politics for the Republicans. But nope, he had a scandal.
But he's still out there and so occasionally running for
office in South Carolina when he gets bored, I guess.

All right, Jim, don't really have anything this week per
se outside of what a runoff in it was it
South Carolina.

South Dakota, South Dakota. What is the Dakota governor run off?

Something south is happening this week.

Something definitely south, and it is South Dakota, not North Dakota.
And that gets like eight times as many visitors as
South Dakota because it doesn't have North in the title,
or so I've been told. But yeah, we have the runoff.
It's Larry Roden, who's the current incumbent governor against Tony Dodan,
and it looks like it's going to be Rodin. I'm
not sure how he didn't get past fifty percent in

(23:33):
the primary, because he's a solidly picked to win this one.
So he will run off in a very red seat
against Eller's and it's not going to really much of
a race. Again, this is one of those probably ninety
six percent prediction that Rodin will win the governor's race

in November. South Dakota has become a very red state
over the years, so that will be that. But yeah, otherwise,
we've got nothing until the week of August fourth after
this one.

Al Right, Jim, last week, uh Arizona interesting in some
ways not not a lot of surprises. Andy Biggs won
You know, do I think he has a chance. I
just think he's It's another carry Lake situation in that
in that way.

Yeah, the thing, the thing that maybe that may make
this a little different is that he's going to have
the ground game. The turning point is put together and
you would think, right, well, turning point was you know,
unfortunately Charlie was Charlie Kirk's organization Rest in Peace Charlie
and all the work they did on college campuses. But
they were they were the groups that were responsible for

(24:44):
many of the battleground states in twenty twenty four for
President Trump. They run that they ran the ground game
in a lot of those states for for get out
the Vote and the door knockers and all of that,
and they did very well. A lot of people that
are skeptical when, you know, when when the Trump campaign
announced that they were going to be running ground game
for a lot for get out the vote campaigns in

(25:05):
about three or four of the battleground states and they
delivered on all of those states. And Arizona is where
they're from, that's their home grounds. Will be interesting to
see if they can make bigs if they can get
him over the hump and get him into the governor's
seat in Arizona, even though I mean it is a
purplish red state. It's just like you said earlier, you know,
you you were, you were there for a long time,

(25:27):
that he's kind of a little bit a little bit
too far on the uh on the mega side, maybe
in a state that's got a lot more Californians in
it is tired of is tired of Trump Trump fatigue.
And again, the war is not doing the Republicans any
good anywhere, let alone Arizona.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
No, No, it's not. And I think that is something
to take into mind. And I think the other side
of it is too Arizona like a lot of these states.
You and I both talk about this at nauseam, but
quality of candidate's manner, and you're going to get the
people that are the most engaged in and around the
MAGA movement that will come out and vote. But that

(26:05):
ends at the general and when everybody has a chance
to vote. That tent only goes so far for a
lot of these candidates.

Speaker 10 (26:13):
Yeah, and we've seen that numerous times, and of course
our classic example is is mister Walker down in Georgia
running for the Senate. And the interesting interesting thing is,
other than maybe the minitaury the Minnesota governor race, which
we'll talk about in a couple of weeks, is I
see fewer of those candidates on the Republican side this time.
And I think kind of some of the Democrats with there,

(26:34):
with with the DSA alignment, are picking a little bit
more of them up. I'm sure there are a couple
of Republicans out there, but I think they've really kind
of cut that back. I don't know if that's been
you know, if that's something, if that's a party wide effort.
I don't know if Trump is overseeing it and giving
them talking points in those things on making sure that
those guys don't get through that while they may be
loyal MEGA, that they are a little bit on the

(26:55):
crazy side, and there's not then they're just not electable.
And it's not so much you know, like again the
easy poor word to use, but it's just that they're
not electable. They don't appeal to enough of the mainstream
voter base beyond the MEGA because MEGA is not an
overwhelming majority when you get all the different groups aligned
with MEGA it works out well, and it also works
out generally if President Trump is on the ticket to

(27:16):
get the mega voters out there. And midterms traditionally are
a time when the party in power that owns a
lighthouse does not do well. They tend to lose seats
in both the House and the Senate during midterms. That
is just tradition. It's just the way that it's been.
I don't know if it's because you've been in there
two years and you haven't done enough yet. People want
to change. And we've had Trump now for at that point,

(27:38):
we'll have had Trump for eleven years. And we do
talk about this a lot. But Trump fatigue is a
serious thing and it will affect the Republicans. But again,
the Democrats are running enough of these fringe candidates show
we say that it may help the Republicans out and
you know, in Arizona you don't really have a fringe
candidate in Hobbes, but you know it. The question is

will turning points ground game be able to push bigs
over the over the top or not.

You know, that's interesting the I'm interested in about the
what happens because Charlie is no longer there again, it's unfortunate.
We've talked about it. The reality is, Charlie was the
guy that really helped Trump I think a lot of ways,

get over in certain areas as well as help with
the battleground states. They don't have that. Even though they
still have the the if you will, the organization, they
don't have that person that is going to, I think,
do this. You don't hear about going on the campus.
It was an event when he used to do it.

(28:48):
There isn't that anymore. And I think they're very fractured,
and I think that is going to hurt in some ways.

Oh most definitely. Yeah, I mean yeah, I mean they
can't replace his charisma, what he brought to it and

be part of turning point and let them do what

replaced that. I don't think his wife is really that
person as far as the inspiration, and until they find

nomination for that's a toss up. Arizona two is a
slightly Republican seat, and then Arizona six with one Kuzamani
cis Cisco moni excuse me, is also a toss up seat.
So those are seats that Republicans have to win and
they're going to need everything the Turning Point can throw

it can throw at this to get those congressional seats
in addition to trying to get bigs into the governor's
mansion in Arizona.

Seattle police say two people exchange gunfire outside the Seattle Center,
killing three and wounding four others, including a two year

Running officers working the events rushed toward the shooting. They'd
heard the shots and confronted the suspect that they saw

is now holding off of a major escalation against Iran
to give way for diplomacy to reopen the straight up
her moves. I'm told the President was prepared to launch
a series of strikes on Friday, but decided to hold off.

Discussed the impact a major attack could have on the
US's depleting stock of air defense interceptors.

they think it's not going to do any damage because

But there's no peace agreement, and the Iranians are not
backing down when it comes to the straits of hormones.
They're not backing down at all. They are saying that

to do and what we have to do to try
to wrestle back control on a self inflictedinful mistake, I
don't know. And the war's not popular, all right. The

war is completely unpopular and continues to be so.

This poll was designed to get at how Americans feel
about the Iran war as we head into the sixth
month of this conflict, and overall, it's not great news
for the president.

Take a look at this.

Nearly six in ten respondents said they feel uncertain about
the war, Nearly six in ten said they're frustrated with
the war, about a third said they are pessimistic, and
only nineteen percent said they are optimistic about this war.

Who's optimistic about it? Besides Lindsay Graham and his excitement.
I don't know if you guys saw that. Maybe'll played
a little bit later, he played in the first hour
the excitement that Lindsay got knowing that we're doing this
because he's been wanting this for years, and you know,
I'm sorry, no, no, no, no, no, why why again?

Interestingly, the pull found that there is large and bipartisan
support for some of the goals of the war, like
stopping Iran from getting a nuclear weapon, but more than
two thirds of those polled said they still think that
the administration should end the war now, and despite the
fact that this president keeps insisting that the war is

not going to drag on, most Americans told us they
expect it to take months or even years to end,
with an overwhelming majority saying that it's been harder, they
think than the Trump administration had anticipated.

Not a shocker. Of course, we don't want That's the
dumbest thing. Do you agree with some of the goals? Really?
Like that's that is so ridiculous. The ask questions like that,
what are they going to say? No, No, we don't
want them to be slaughtered by their government and their rulers.
We don't want them to continue to escalate and cause

chaos in the region. It's just it's so stupid. It's
like asking people you want free stuff? A lot of
people agree free stuff is nice.

Probably not a surprise with gas prices now spiking back
above four dollars a gallon that nearly eight in ten
people said in our pool that the administration isn't focusing
enough on lowering prices, and three quarters of them said
that their income isn't keeping up with inflation. More than
half said Trump's policies are making them worse off. And

of course these are not the numbers that the party
in power likes to see in a midterm election year,
especially as Democrats have been out on the campaign trail
focusing on pocketbook issues and affordability.

Some Republican lawmakers have been a little more vocal lately
about the need to wrap this war up and focus
on the economy.

Yes, so this past week, I've spoken to several out
here in Tennessee, several candidates, but all of them have
said the same thing. Most important thing is affordability. Even
at the local level, right people running for state, Senate, Congress,

it's all about affordability. I talked to a gentleman on
Friday who is running to be governor here and Monty
Fritz is his name, and Monty said that many Republicans
that he talked to they are afraid to talk about affordability,
even though they know it's the number one most important
thing is affordability. It is the average person. That's what

we care about. Can we afford our lives? We can
figure the rest of it out. But if some of
our life is you know, a little bit chaotic and
we can't afford it, well, that changes the tune for
everything and the Republican You know, if the Democrats played
it right, and I say a big if, because as
we all know, they usually will figure out a way
to snatch defeat from the Joseph victory, they would be

okay in the midterms. But I don't know if they
can stay to a message. And they're also in the
midst of their own little civil war, with the hardcore
left taking on the establishment and in some cases winning big.
So we'll see, we'll see. I can't believe it. People

are unhappy about a war that was only supposed to
last two weeks, that has continued to go on for

Another attack in Germany over the weekend Pride festival. Twenty
one year old Abdul b who has been arrested, who
went to Lebanon, who came back and was arrested for
planning an attack and was released in May, is the

person that has been shot and killed in the attack
after an intense manhunt after plowing into a bunch of
people at a Pride festival.

Police say that just before ten pm on Saturday, the
attacker drove a white van through what's known as Tiergarten
Park that's right alongside the Pride parade route, and it
slammed into a crowd before hitting a tree. Now, the
driver then got out. According to authorities, he was armed
with a machete. He began slashing at bystanders before.

Fleeing, and he fled and then they found him and
they put him down and guess what not a shocker
has ties to Islamic groups that he.

Was arrested in Lebanon last year for trying to join
Islamic state. That's according to prosecutors in Germany. So certainly
this person has a history of criminal activity and links
to those extreme groups.

And last week they in Germany up the terror alert
saying that it was the highest level they could get.
They're worried about copycats. He was always so I want
to get to think about this. He was arrested for
trying to join ISIS comes back. He's German born, so

people are like, well, why they allow him in the
country to come back because I saw several people say
that he was German born of Syrian descent. And over
the last several months, I guess in a few years
he's become quite an Islamist and they know, they knew
who he is. He's got ties to Islamic groups. They've
known this. They arrested him, they let him out early

in May probation. Obviously that didn't work. And it's not
just Germany, by the way, and I will say this
over and over again. France, yes, certain areas absolutely. Belgium
yesterday warning from the State Department Americans, you need to
get out of Belgium three two, three, five, three eight,

we have? What don't we have? What is he here?

is this going to affect you on the political side

cluster now at nine states. Federal health officials link the
parasite to shreded iceberg lettuce produced by Taylor Farms and
sold at Taco Bell, while the FDA is tracked at
least some of the tainted lettuce to a farm in
central Mexico. On Sunday, the agency's former commissioner said the

outbreak may not be fully contained.

that that's the only growing region where this is coming from.

Angie Lewis says she fell ill with cyclosporiasis, a severe
stomach illness, but never ate at Taco Bell.

bottom and make sure that you know, people need to
be more aware that this is not just Taco Bell.

Taylor Farms has already voluntarily recalled the lettuce, which was
also sold at Walmart, and said it suspended all Iceberg
Lettuce sourcing and production from Central Mexico. For its part,
Taco Bell said it stopped selling the suspected ingredient on
July seventeenth. Still, the FDA says it expects cases to

keep climbing. So far, almost two thousand people contracted cyclosporiasis.
Ninety eight of them had to be hospitalized.

That's not good. That is unacceptable, and I really did.
I'm looking around going I think I'm gonna get I

try to go and I'll get some of those pre
made salads. All those were Tailor Farms, so I tossed

one hundred people, the FDA linking some of those cases
to eggs they say are likely sourced from Midwest Poultry
Services and sold multiple locations, including Kroger grocery stores. The
egg Farming Company voluntarily recalling nineteen million white shell and

brown cage free eggs, which were sold in six states,
as officials urged consumers to check their refrigerators.

It's an alarming sight to some, but for Low, encounters
like these are an ordinary occurrence.

People have this misconception about white sharks that there are
these ultery dangerous animals, and it turns out that's not true.

It is interesting. We were talking about it the other
day about the would you want to know because now
with the drones in the air and you can see

don't happen, not saying we've seen it. We've seen shark bites.

We've seen some attacks over the last several months that
have killed people in particular certain area in Australia where
there's been issues. That being said, do you want to know?
Do you want to know if they're there or not.
They don't have hands, so the bite's pretty damn damaging.

The Shark Lab says their research shows sharks are most
likely to swim toward the splashing sounds of humans swimming
as opposed to the sound of surfers or kayakers. But
even so that when sharks get close, they say, they
tend to lose interest.

We've actually seen sharks swim up behind swimmers, get within
maybe three feet of them, and then actually just turn away.
So it's almost like they didn't know what it was.
They get close and they go, well, that's that's not

It is that time of the week, the midterm Monday.
Good buddy, Jim Kennedy of the Kennedy It's the Policy
Research and of course Midterm Mondays. Dot Com and of
course writing Jim dot Com joins the program. All right, Jim,
first and foremost. Before we came on the air, we
were talking about the insanity of what's going on in
North Carolina. So already Lindsey had won already, and then

(01:32:00):
Lindsay of course has since passed away, but they moved
one cracker out into another one. His sister is now
taking over his seat until the election in November, and
out of nowhere, she magically thinks now that she can
do the job itself, So now she wants to run

(01:32:22):
in November. The confusion is tremendous.

Speaker 10 (01:32:25):
Yeah, it is kind of a mess down in South Carolina.
South Carolina Senate kind of thought was a was a
settle thing. Lindsay Graham was you know, won the nomination
easily I think about seventy five twenty five over Mark Lynch.
Wasn't seen to be any issue there. It's a solid
red state. And then unfortunately Lindsay died and not you know,
thought some prayers out to the family. Of course, real

(01:32:46):
real tragedy. You know, interesting guy, real, you know, real
solid guy in the Senate. But now we've got the Republicans,
unlike what the Democrats that in Maine are going to
have another primary election on August eleventh, so basically two
weeks from tomorrow. And right now the polls have got
Ralph Norman, who is a congress from the South Carolina
fifth is that is that well eighteen or sixteen percent

(01:33:10):
depending upon the pole. Next is Darlene Graham and by
the way, she has dropped the Nordoni, which is her
maiden name because you go through the FEC filings, she's
finally in the FEC final Because when you took over
the office and you weren't going to run, she didn't
have to file any FEC documents. Now that she's a
candidate for the office, she had to file, and she
has filed as Darlene Graham, not Darlene they donate Graham.

(01:33:32):
So she's really emphasizing the gram part of it, at
least the way that I interpreted it. So one poll,
like I said, as Norman at eighteen point six, Graham
at sixteen point three. Another poll has Graham at twenty
point eight and Norman at sixteen point nine. The rest
of the field a little bit farther back. But there
are about five or six people that are in this
race right now for the Republicans, and because of that number,

(01:33:54):
and nobody has got any clear support. Now, Graham may
pull away again. We've got two weeks until the primary
is held, but it looks like unless somebody gets people well,
if somebody doesn't get past fifty percent plus one vote,
there will be a runoff on August twenty fifth. And
that's the way it's looking right now, is that with
this many people splitting the vote up and no clear

(01:34:14):
candidate that has really gotten a ground swallow of support,
that they'll probably be a runoff on the twenty fifth.
But watch this because the names are coming fast and furious,
and I believe they have until Friday of this week
to throw their hat into the ring. Nancy Mason said
she wouldn't run, though it seems to be tempting for her.
The governor McMaster hasn't run, probably won't, and polling at

(01:34:38):
third in this one poll is Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evet,
who lost the governor's primary because she ran for governor
because she's being turned out as a tenant governor is
third in one of the polls at a little under
ten percent, So she may see that and decide to
jump in because she doesn't have a job at the
end of the year, so why not run for Senate
because hey, it's the thing to do in soft tern

(01:34:59):
life in early August.

Speaker 2 (01:35:01):
That's right. I'm also eighth in the poll, and i'in't
ready throw my hat and yet, because I don't live
in South Carolina. That's okay. Because Mark Sanford is roney
again and he went to the appllition, I mean Argentina.
They both started with an agim, No.

Speaker 10 (01:35:13):
They actually did. That is a wonderful story. The thing
I did not know is that even after that debacle
with the you know, with the mistress, he came back
like eight years later and ran and won and won
in South South Carolina, won the congressional seat which is
actually now, if I'm not mistaken, the seat that Nancy
Mace holds after he retired finally, So it's interesting. Yeah,

(01:35:36):
he must be really well liked in South Carolina to
have that kind of a political scandal on you, and
he was. I mean, it was something that was the
nation was focused on it because he disappeared and it
was just kind of a slow time and there is
talk of him in that time. He was a republic
He was an up and rising Republican and was talked
about as a possible presidential nominee come I think twenty

(01:35:57):
twelve or two thousand and eight. So yeah, he was
somebody that could have had a brighter future in politics
for the Republicans. But nope, he had a scandal. But
he's still out there and still occasionally running for office
in South Carolina. When he gets bored, I guess.

All right, Jim, we don't really have anything this week,
per se outside of what a runoff in it was
it South Carolina, South Dakota, South Dakota, Dakota governor run
off South. Something South is happening this week, something.

Speaker 10 (01:36:33):
Definitely south, and it is South Dakota, not North Dakota.
And that gets like eight times as many visitors as
South Dakota because it doesn't have North in the title,
or so I've been told. But yeah, we have the runoff.
It's Larry Roaden, who's the current incumbent governor, against Tony
Dodan and it looks like it's going to be Rodin.
I'm not sure how he didn't get past fifty percent

(01:36:53):
in the primary, because he's a solidly picked to win
this one. So he will run off in a very
red seat against Eller's and it's not going to really
much of a race. Again, this is one of those
probably ninety six percent prediction that that Rodin will win
the governor's race in November. South Dakota has become a

(01:37:14):
very red state over the years, so that will be that.
But yeah, otherwise we've got nothing until the week of
August fourth, after this one.

Al Right, Jim, last week Arizona interesting in some ways,
not a lot of surprises, Andy Biggs won You know,
do I think he has a chance. I just think
he's It's another carry Lake situation in that in that way.

Speaker 10 (01:37:43):
Yeah, the thing that maybe that may make this a
little different is that he's going to have the ground game.
The turning point is put together, and you would think, well,
turning point was you know, unfortunately Charlie was Charlie Kirk's
organization Rest in Peace Charlie and all the work they
did on call It's campuses. But they were they were
the groups that were responsible for many of the battleground

(01:38:06):
states in twenty twenty four for President Trump. They ran,
they ran the ground game in a lot of those
states for for get out the Vote and the door
knockers and all of that, and they did very well.
A lot of people that were skeptical when you know,
when when the Trump campaign announced that they were going
to be running ground game for a lot for get
out the Vote, campaigns in about three or four of

(01:38:26):
the battleground states, and they delivered on all of those states.
And Arizona is where they're from, that's their home ground.
It'll be interesting to see if they can make bigs,
if they can get him over the hump and get
him into the governor's seat in Arizona, even though I
mean it is a purplish red state. It's just like
you said earlier, you know, you, you were, you were
there for a long time. That he's kind of a

(01:38:48):
little bit, a little bit too far on the uh
on the mega side, maybe in a state that's got
a lot more Californians in it is tired of it's
tired of Trump Trump fatigue. And again, the war is
not doing the Republicans any good anywhere, let alone Arizona.

Speaker 2 (01:39:03):
No, No, it's not. And I think that is something
to take into mind. And I think the other side
of it is too. Arizona like a lot of these states.
You and I both talk about this at nauseum, but
quality of candidates matter, and you're going to get the
people that are the most engaged in and around the
MAGA movement that will come out and vote. But that

(01:39:26):
ends at the general and when everybody has a chance
to vote, that tent only goes so far for a
lot of these candidates.

Speaker 10 (01:39:33):
Yeah, and we've seen that numerous times. And of course
our classic example is is mister Walker down in Georgia
running for the Senate. And the interesting thing is, other
than maybe the Minitaura, the Minnesota governor Frasherich we'll talk
about in a couple of weeks, is I see fewer
of those candidates on the Republican side this time. And
I think kind of some of the Democrats with their

(01:39:55):
with with the DSA alignment, are picking a little bit
more of them up. I'm sure there are a couple
of Publicans out there, but I think they've really kind
of cut that back. I don't know if that's been
you know, if that's something, if that's a party wide effort.
I don't know if Trump is overseeing it and giving
them talking points in those things on making sure that
those guys don't get through that while they may be
loyal mega that they are a little bit on the

(01:40:16):
crazy side, and then they're just not electable. And it's
not so much you know, like again the crazy the
poor word to use, but it's just that they're not electable.
They don't appeal to enough of the mainstream voter base
beyond the Mega because MEGA is not an overwhelming majority.
When you get all the different groups aligned with MEGA,
it works out well. And it also works out generally
if President Trump is on the ticket to get the

(01:40:37):
MEGA voters out there. And midterms traditionally are a time
when the party in power that owns the lighthouse does
not do well. They tend to lose seats in both
the House and the Senate during midterms. That is just tradition.
It's just the way that it's been. I don't know
if it's because you've been in there two years and
you haven't done enough yet. People want to change. And
we've had Trump now for at that point, we'll have

(01:40:59):
had Trump for a lot years. And we do talk
about this a lot, but Trump fatigue is a serious
thing and it will affect the Republicans. But again, the
Democrats are running enough of these fringe candidates. Shall we
say that it may help the Republicans out And you know,
in Arizona you don't really have a fringe candidate in Hobbes.

(01:41:19):
But you know the question is we'll turning points ground
game be able to push bigs over the over the
top or not.

Speaker 2 (01:41:27):
You know, that's interesting. The I'm interested in about the
what happens because Charlie is no longer there. Again, it's unfortunate.
We've talked about it. The reality is, Charlie was the
guy that really helped Trump I think a lot of ways,

(01:41:47):
get over in certain areas as well as help with
the battleground states. They don't have that. Even though they
still have the the if you will, the organization, they
don't have that person that is going to, I think,
do this. You don't hear about going on the campus.
It was an event when he used to do it.

(01:42:09):
There isn't that anymore. And I think they're very fractured,
and I think that is going to hurt in some ways.

Speaker 10 (01:42:15):
Oh most definitely. Yeah, I mean yeah, I mean they
can't replace his charisma, what he brought to it and
the way he can inspire people to come out and
work for it and to basically, you know, to basically
be part of turning point and let them do what
they're able to do, especially again with the ground games.
So yeah, that is a big loss. They have not
replaced that. I don't think his wife is really that
person as far as the inspiration. And until they find

(01:42:37):
that person, if they do, then you know, that's Charlie's
kind of a one of a kind type of person.
You're not going to find them every day as a
generational person that you don't replace easily. You're not going
to just basically go through a bunch of resumes and
find another Charlie Kirk. And until they can figure out
somebody who can charismatically lead that group, that is going
to be a problem for them. And Arizona's got the

(01:42:58):
Arizona one seat, that Feely one, the one the nomination
for that's a toss up. Arizona two is a slightly
Republican seat, and then Arizona six with one Kuzamani sas
Cisco Moni excuse me, is also a toss up seat.
So those are seats that Republicans have to win, and
they're gonna need everything the Turning Point can throw it

(01:43:19):
can throw at this to get those congressional seats in
addition to trying to get bigs into the governor's mansion
in Arizona.

That could very well be That would that would make
a lot of sense. They do occasionally play that game
on a Thursday, sometimes on a Monday, but could be
on a Thursday. Yeah, I don't understand it. I really don't.
You're down there, and I'd love to get an answer
as to why exactly a Thursday. I mean, I know
Louisiana to saturdays Florida or actually at Florida. I believe

(01:44:09):
Hawaii is doing a Saturday because they're because they're going
to be on August eighth, and so we have so
basically we're gonna have midterms on August fourth to Tuesday,
August sixth to Thursday in Tennessee, and then August eighth
in Hawaii for the primaries. And I don't really remember
the last time we've had three primaries within a week
on three separate days. That might be that might be historical.

(01:44:30):
I'mna have to go look that one up and run
that past Google and see what it see what it
gives me back. But that is interesting. I can understand
the Saturday because a lot of people want it to
be a national holiday so that you can go vote
to have to worry about get time off though you're
supposed to be able to get time off, you know
how them players are with that sometimes. And Tuesdays what
it's been traditionally, that's what's in the constitution. But Thursday

(01:44:51):
Thursday is one I can't ever remember seeing before. And
I'd love to know what the logic is on why
it's on a Thursday rather than a Tuesday or even
a Saturday.

I have no idea because I've asked people and they
just kind of gon, we don't know. Is this the
