Speaker 1 (00:11):
The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Where do we start today? A little humor? I like
that South Park last night. Oh lordy, they didn't hold back.
What do I always tell you guys about free speech?
You know, we had sit here to talk about the press,
you know, because Trump and the war on the press

(00:33):
and all this stuff that happens. The press is biased.
Terry Moran came out the other day and by the way,
this includes the right leaning press, the left leaning press.
Everybody's got their own, you know, because they're serving a niche.
That's what they're serving. They're serving a niche audience. At
this moment in time, we all want affirmation, not information.

(00:54):
The information we want is only the information makes us
feel good and backs whatever it is that we leave.
That's that's all we want. So Terry Moran, former ABC reporter,
came out and said, absolutely, they're biased. He worked at

(01:15):
ABC for a long time. He said, yes, they're biased,
one hundred percent. ABC was biased on Trump. Doesn't mean
that there aren't people that work at ABC that don't
do a good job. But he said the media itself
is absolutely biased on the left, and which I thought

(01:36):
was And remember he got let go because of things
that happened with Trump and him or he retired or
whatever you want to call it. But for all of that,
the media, this, that, and the other. Journalism isn't what
it used to be because now it has to be

(01:56):
entertainment and we're not interested. That's part of our problem.
Part of it is on us, because we're not interested
in anything that doesn't affirm our beliefs. We're not curious.
We're not looking to find out if maybe this is not.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
As true as they say over here. We just go.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
We hear something, we read a headline, we believe it
to be true, and there we go and we believe
it to be true because we want it to be true.
That's where comedians have come in. You go back through
time and see the influence that comics and satires had
on not only influencing politics and pop culture and whatnot,

(02:39):
but doing it in such a way where it cuts
across even political lines to show the absurd. So last
night South Park decided Charlie Kirk and christin Nome we're
going to be the headliners. Oh they got Trump too.
Trump and Vance like it was fantasy Island and JD.

(03:02):
Vance is tiny. It was absurd and hilarious at the
same time. But the Christinome thing spectacular. Welcome to the team, recruits.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
I'm Christy Nome, head of Homeland Security, who she seems nice.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Thing, very preedy.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
A few years ago I had to put my puppy
down by shooting it in the face, because sometimes doing
what's important means doing what's hard.

Speaker 5 (03:32):
Whoa, WHOA.

Speaker 6 (03:33):
Now we'll ask the same determination of you, because detaining
and questioning people is never easy.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Oh, as the face of Homeland Security, I'll be leading
the way and together we'll make sure everyone is in
this country legally. So let's get out there and get
them recruits. Together, we can make it happen. Just I

(04:04):
saw some Republican you know, people who were just sold
for Trump anything, and Maga does freaking out about this,
and I was laughing so hard because she did kill
her dog. She put it in her damn book, and
nobody told her that wasn't a good idea, but showing
the absurdness of her, and you know, she's all done

(04:30):
up and everywhere she goes in this it's it's it's
like a set. Yeah, that's why they call her, you know,
Ice Barbie and stuff like that. Immigration Barbie once again.
The satire. It's biting and it's also fairly real, you know,
I mean, did they overdo it? I heard shooting a

(04:50):
whole bunch of dogs. Yes, but they didn't lie about that,
and I thought it was brilliant. Then on the Charlie Kirk,
and in fairness, Charlie's been pretty This is what I
like about Charlie. He's able to laugh at himself right
kind of looked at it and like, okay, you know

(05:12):
what they're making fun of me. I I've gotten to
that point where big enough that I can become something.
I'm okay with that. And he knew that they were
going to roast him, and you know, he seemed pretty
funny about it. Cartman played Charlie Kirk and it's brilliant.

Speaker 7 (05:29):
Black people have everything handed to them.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
I'm sick of people.

Speaker 8 (05:32):
Stand in my stick.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
If anyone around here is.

Speaker 9 (05:35):
Going to be a master debater, it's me. So let
go who wants to debate the master debater?

Speaker 5 (05:41):
Let go?

Speaker 9 (05:41):
You right there, that's the stupidest haircut I've ever seen.
You around end to be a perpetuous statute for your generations,
throughout all your dreamings.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
Stained American.

Speaker 10 (05:51):
You love abortions.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
We're gonna play more of these. It's just it's funny.
I'm sorry.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
You know, you've my uncle who is a huge man guy,
and you guys see him because we do our our
our podcast a couple nights a week together. He says, Look,
they make fun of everybody, and yeah, it's it's it's
funny and if you can't laugh at yourself, that's not good.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Should be able to laugh at yourself. It's brilliant.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
And the one part that doesn't really ring true through
the audio side of it is when they're talking about immigration,
and this one lady says, well, you know, even even
like you know, Mexicans go to Heaven and next thing
you know, you see ice driving up to Heaven's gate
on clouds, you know, and they've got the ice patrol. Course,

(06:39):
you see all these people running outlodies all just get
the brown ones. If you're brown, you're going down and
you were satire. That's biting and real, and I always
believe it's a bit of a good you.

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Know, a good check on the ego.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
I love it.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
They make fun of everybody and there's nothing wrong with
that they do.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
I think it's a good way to keep the powerful
in line three two, three, five, three, eight, twenty four
to twenty three at Chad Benson Show, is your ex
your insta? All of the other things? Could there be
a change in Ukraine and the Russia? What?

Speaker 11 (07:16):
There is optimistic talk from the White House and the
Kremlin this morning about a face to face meeting between
Putin and President Trump, but no date or location has
been announced, and there seems to be a catch. The
Kremlin this morning saying they have agreed to a meeting
with President Trump, but Putin has not agreed to a
meeting with Ukraine's President Zelenski.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
That was kind of the Trump is kind of like, hey, yeah,
I'd like to meet with you. It be awesome. You
know who else should show up? This would be great, right,
This will be fun. Why don't we bring uh, the
old Vladimir.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
That'd be a good time. I think he's good people
what laugh.

Speaker 11 (07:57):
This follows a meeting in Moscow on Wednesday between Putin
and Trump's Special ENVOYE.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
Steve Whitcoff.

Speaker 11 (08:04):
Following that meeting, the official said Witcof told President Trump
that Putin would like to meet with him, which President
Trump said he is open to if Putin also meets
with Zelenski.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
I'm gonna tell you this, all right, I'll tell you
this right now. Let me tell you this. If you're
gonna do that old Vladimir, one story building, bring your
own tea, one story building, bring your own tea.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
Go from there. We'll see if this happens.

Speaker 2 (08:38):
And a lot of this has to also do with
the fact that Trump is trying to apply pressure via tariffs.

Speaker 12 (08:44):
If India does decide to really submit to pressure here
and stop importing oil from Russia, they might return to
their old partners like Saudi Arabia, which could in turn
impact American fuel imports.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
It's just a possibility.

Speaker 2 (09:02):
So India spends a ton of money about thirty five
percent of their oil, give or take, they get from Russia,
which is a big deal to them, especially when you're
in financial straits. While they haven't felt it because there's
been workarounds the way that you know, I think a
lot of people thought the sanctions would be. This is

(09:24):
the kind of thing where once you start going after
the people that worked around all of the sanctions to
buy from you, that's when the issues are going to
start to be felt. Especially when it comes to the
military side of stuff and retooling. Pete Navarro said, look,
you know, this isn't just about the whole Russia things
about the American taxpayer here.

Speaker 13 (09:46):
So we send a lot of dollars overseas to India
to buy their products in an unfair trade environment. India
then uses American dollars to buy Russian oil. We should
then uses those American dollars that come from India to
finance its armaments to kill Ukrainians. And then American taxpayers

(10:12):
are then called upon to pay for the weapons that
have to defend Ukraine against Russian armaments paid for by
American dollars that came from India.

Speaker 2 (10:25):
That's got to stop.

Speaker 14 (10:26):
That math doesn't work.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
No, that math doesn't math the way that we wanted to.
And let's not forget about the countless lives lost on
both sides. Let's not forget that. So we'll see, and yes,
could this be an issue if India says, all right, screw,
we're going to go buy from the OPEC nations, you know,
and there is some sort of supply issue or they

(10:51):
tighten the supply, Yeah, we could see a bump in price,
But that would be short term. If the law long term.
The medium of the long term is this gets fixed
and there is a actual ceasefire peace agreement between the two,

(11:12):
that's a win. Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four,
twenty three. At Chad Benson Show is here, Twitter, slash ax, YouTube, Facebook,
all of the things.

Speaker 3 (11:22):

This is the Chad BENSI.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
Joe Chad Benson.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
Look it.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
It's it's a bird. It's a plane. Is it United?

Speaker 15 (13:15):
No?

Speaker 2 (13:15):
It's not?

Speaker 3 (13:15):
No, there's still Are they finally up and running again?

Speaker 2 (13:18):
Oh man? That was pain in the ass.

Speaker 10 (13:21):
Were coming back out of it overnight.

Speaker 14 (13:23):
United pilots were given the green light to take off again.

Speaker 16 (13:26):
We're slowly coming back up on what's your.

Speaker 14 (13:28):
Fuel loads on liveatc dot net. United requested the groundstop
worldwide for its mainline aircraft after a computer system that
handles weight and balance went down. United saying it was
not a cyber attack. With thousands of United customers stranded
and flights canceled, the airline paid for hotels and meals
overnight for impacted customers.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
Yeah, that's a lot there. That's a lot there. I'll
tell you that right now. This is what it sounded
like as they talked back and forth between the pilots
and the tower and everybody.

Speaker 17 (13:58):
And so the system is.

Speaker 18 (14:00):
Down, but from what I understand, it's slowly funny to
come out.

Speaker 7 (14:03):
So hopefully say maintenance is done.

Speaker 14 (14:06):
Correct, that's affirmantive report.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
Everybody, get out of here, fantastic, get out of there,
lock it up, let's go. What do you think, ma'am?
Modern technology?

Speaker 19 (14:14):
I don't understand.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
It's supposed to make our life simpler and easier, and
all that's done for me is frustrate me. Ah, fun
fun indeed, up and running.

Speaker 18 (14:23):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
But you know when we talked about these things, theyk
of it as once that chain gets broken, it's a
hot mess. And that's what happened here, you know where
it didn't happen. Where the flight did take place. Antarctica
Rescue and our folks that apparently had medical emergencies.

Speaker 5 (14:43):
Three people evacuated from the US McMurdo station, the Royal
New Zealand Air Force carrying out the operation, stating the
evacuation was requested by the United States National Science Foundation
after several staffers were quote unable to receive the medical
care they needed in Antarctica.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
And what I understand, I don't know if it was
that they break ground there in the ice and they
found an alien and something happened. I have no idea
one person, though it was supposedly it was a rush.
You gotta get there. It's not an easy flight. It's
pitch black like all the time this time of year.

(15:26):
Three two, three, five, three eight, twenty four, twenty three
at Chad Benson Show, is your ex your insta, your
YouTube will be live again tonight. You have a chance
to join us right around seven o'clock Eastern on the
YouTube and the incident and all the other stuff as well.
We look forward to seeing you there on the Chad
Benson show.

Speaker 5 (15:50):
It took nearly twenty hours to complete this medical evacuation.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
These operations are rare.

Speaker 5 (15:55):
The last time the Royal New Zealand Air Force conducted
one of these missions was back in.

Speaker 14 (15:59):
Two twenty one.

Speaker 5 (16:01):
In twenty twenty.

Speaker 3 (16:01):
Four, it was minus twenty one when they landed sweater weather.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
I think so. Yesterday Tim Cook of Apple paid a
visit to the White House, paid homage to the President,
showed up there bearing gifts of tribute. I don't know
if you saw that. It was kind of like really
and uh, gonna invest more good, you know, only to
a certain extent.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
Let's be real, everybody's like this, they should build it
here the iPhone.

Speaker 2 (16:30):
First of all, we don't have the capability and the
workers we need right now to do some of the
things that need to be done for the iPhone. Secondly,
it's too damn expensive if they were to build it
all here. But it's still hell of a move, right
like Trump, Tariff's a big deal to him and he's

(16:51):
sticking with it.

Speaker 20 (16:52):
Side by side with Apple CEO Tim Cook in the
Oval Office, President Trump touting the tech giant's pledge to
invest an additional one hundrehundred billion dollars in US manufacturing,
on top of the five hundred billion announced.

Speaker 2 (17:04):
In February to coming home.

Speaker 20 (17:07):
Apple saying we'll use glass made in Kentucky on iPhones
and Apple watches. But the company stopping short of giving
Trump what he's been demanding, that the iPhone be fully
produced in the US.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
Yeah, that's not going to happen for a whole bunch
of reasons, costing one of them. Re shoring would take
five to ten years. There's a lot that would have
to go into this. So but they're starting to do
some stuff here and that's a win too. Can't get everything.
If you missing the show, grab the podcast. This it's
the Chat Benson.

Speaker 21 (17:37):
Show, The Chat Benson Joe, The.

Speaker 1 (18:00):
Job Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (18:02):
Where exactly is Waldo? No? The Democrats Texas? Where are they?
They're looking for them?

Speaker 3 (18:14):
He Democrat?

Speaker 2 (18:16):
Democrant Democrat?

Speaker 3 (18:18):
Democrat Democrat?

Speaker 2 (18:21):
Are they in hiding? Kind of sorta we know where
they are. They're in Illinois. This governor Pritzker. By the way,
Illinois was it? Four of their governors have been been
to prison. They're the most gerry manderd of all of
the states. Fantastic Governor Pritzer what's going on.

Speaker 22 (18:39):
There's been a civil warrant issued by none other than
the Republican Speaker of the House of Texas. A civil warrant,
as you know, does not allow the Texas Rangers or
anybody in Texas to grab anybody outside of the state
of Texas. So we're very proud to have them here. Frankly,
they're heroes. These are people who are standing up for democracy,

(19:01):
and we're going to do everything we can to protect them.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
Okay, good, good, protect them from what they left they
didn't want to do the quorum. That portion of it
is very much show. 'm me to tell you guys
that right now, it's very much show. And as I
said yesterday, I think the way that the Republicans have
handled this is also very showy. Everybody's always trying to

(19:24):
impress Trump. It's very showy.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
They have the right to do this. You may not
like it, but they have the right.

Speaker 23 (19:32):
Why do this in a census off year when you
just redistricted in twenty.

Speaker 10 (19:37):
Twenty one, because we can, we have the votes.

Speaker 15 (19:40):
It's legal for us to do so, it's legal for
us to draw the lines based on political performance. We
have three Hispanic predominated districts in South Texas that we
believe that we can carve out for Republican leadership in
the United States Congress.

Speaker 10 (19:53):
It's going to be a good thing for Texas.

Speaker 15 (19:54):
I don't spend any time thinking about what happens in California, Illinois,
or New York. I'm here to protect Texas and ensure
that our voices are heard there.

Speaker 2 (20:04):
You go, go and do it. I myself don't care
because eventually it ends up in the place it always
ends up, and that of course, is in the courts.
So all of this at this moment in time is
I think, very much for show. But you've got to
start it somewhere. But yeah, it's going to go to

(20:24):
the highest court in the land.

Speaker 16 (20:26):
The Voting Rights Act of nineteen sixty five, which coincidentally
celebrates its sixtieth anniversary today, has been a bulwark against
the use of legal you know, these maps and other
restrictions on voters of color. Many people wondering on this
anniversary does it still matter, will it perhaps play a

(20:46):
role here?

Speaker 2 (20:46):
And the answer is yes, yeah, very much so. And
there's a case in Louisiana that they've decided to take
up that kind of mirrors this. So this is all
get it up in the courts and right now what's
going on is very much show it's showy and they're
raising tons of money off of it. In all of
that stuff. I mean, this is kind of what happens

(21:08):
now in modern politics is look at me, look at me,
look at me, and people are looking and going, okay,
now what I don't know, give me money, like and subscribe,
follow my podcast. I mean, it's all that kind of stuff.
So this is you know, this is now starting a
war of what state can do what this is Massachusetts

(21:28):
governor if I'm correct, I'm a double check here in
a second, because I did so much research in several
states and how they're you know, what are the nuances
of what they have to do to try to do
what Texas is doing because maybe they have it in
their state constitution that they can't do that, or but

(21:50):
this is the governor of Massachusetts.

Speaker 3 (21:54):
You know, saying all right, you know we're gonna get.

Speaker 24 (21:55):
Involved to Donald Trump, Greg Abbott, Ken Paxton have left
us no choice. That's the reality. Nobody came looking for this, right,
We had a system of free and fair elections. We
have maps that are regularly drawn, voted on by legislatures,
approved and signed off on by governors. This is the
way the system works until this, until this comes in,

(22:19):
and so you know, they've left us no choice. It's
not where anyone wants to be.

Speaker 1 (22:23):
I could tell you that.

Speaker 24 (22:25):
Governors, I know, maybe with the exception of this person
in Texas, evidently we want our constituents represented. We want
the voices heard, whether you vote for me or not.
I want your vote to count. I want your vote
to count, unlike Greg Abbott who doesn't want your voice
to count and doesn't want your vote to count, nor

(22:47):
does Donald Trump.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
There you go. So they're looking at doing some sort
of potential redistricting as well. Now I'm going to tell
you guys something. I'm going to read you off. State
wide office is held Republicans. There you go. That's in
Massachusetts governor, lieutenant governor, attorney General, Secretary of Commonwealth, treasurer, auditor,

(23:12):
both senators, all nine House seats. There are I think
a few in this as in the state legislator. But
that's it.

Speaker 3 (23:28):
So we'll show you.

Speaker 2 (23:32):
Okay, oh my goodness, let the courts and unfortunate, because
I don't think our founding fathers.

Speaker 3 (23:40):
Two things.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
I don't think our founding fathers wanted the courts to
be the arbiter of everything that we do now. And
the second thing is, I don't think our founding fathers thought, hey,
you know what, we'll we'll just start drawing up lines
to make sure our team gets to stay in power
no matter what's you're on. It's ridiculous. Speaking of ridiculous,

(24:04):
you know that Epstein stuff is not going away. They
could sit there and pretend it is. But last night
there was supposed to be a dinner. From what I understand,
there was like we're all going to get together, we're
going to be pals, and we're going to try to
talk this thing out. But I don't think it happened.
Jd Vance I think was supposed to host it. You know,
then you still have the whole thing going on with

(24:27):
Maxwell and you know, and now we're subpoenang people. They're
bringing the Clintons in, which is going to be interesting.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
I think I completely agree.

Speaker 25 (24:37):
This is a terrible, terrible idea. I mean, all it
does is draw more attention back. And when you put
Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton and Comy and all of
these other people's name on this list, it I neediately
begs the question why not Donald Trump? Why not Alexicossa?

(24:58):
Why not the why not Barr? Why not Donald Trump's
attorney generals that charged him?

Speaker 1 (25:06):
Why?

Speaker 25 (25:06):
I mean they've they've created a list that raises so
many questions that it actually draws more attention to this,
not only from the media but also the base.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
It's not going anywhere. And the more that it's hidden,
and the more that you're starting to see Maxwell gets
you know, she got transfers, she has all this cushy
stuff that apparently she's getting. The questions are being asked,
First of all, can you even believe anything? She says no,
because she knows that the get out of jail card
is that guy over there. So you got to affirm

(25:41):
that he was never involved in anything. And I've said
it from the beginning. I don't think he was involved
in anything himself. Doesn't mean I don't think he knew.
And I said the same thing about Clinton. I don't
think Clinton was involved in any underage girls. College girls,
that's a different story, but they're of age.

Speaker 22 (26:02):
I know.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
I'm just saying it's not going anywhere.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
And now what you've done is not only did you
go to the pop culture world where it's DMZ and
people and all that kind of stuff, it's also in
a position where it's now got its tentacles all over
the place, and you've lost not only the chance to
try to just keep it in the lane of politics,
but now you've put the conspiracy to spread everywhere. And

(26:29):
no matter what you do at this point in time,
I don't think it's gonna help. I don't not for
an instant. I think even if you released everything today,
people are gonna say, I don't know if that's everything.
And one of the things that I've been talking and
I don't hear anybody talk about this. We always think
we have all the files, we have all the info.

(26:55):
I don't for a second think we do. I think
a lot of the other stuff. If you are to
believe that he was some sort of asset, that other
people that he was doing stuff for have other things,
and if he was a free agent doing some stuff
for the CIA, doing some stuff for you know, you know,

(27:17):
you know, m I six, or doing stuff for of
course the macade. You don't think they all have their
own little thing. Oh hell yeah, they do. Hell to
the Yeah, they do. So when I look at this,
I don't think it's it's A it's not going anywhere,

(27:39):
and B it's not only out of your hands. Everybody's
already made up their mind of the believability of whatever
you're going to release and whatever she says. And Holt

(28:01):
did he kill himself? He didn't kill himself. He didn't.
Michael Batter, who is arguably the greatest you know, uh
forensic pathologist, who is the kind of guy that has
done some of the biggest work out there when it

(28:23):
comes to stuff like this. He's worked on jfk assassination,
Martin Luther King Junior, bunch of other big cases as
well as unsolved cases. Well, Epstein's brother hired him. Epstein's
brother Mark and Madden openly criticized the entire conclusion ah

(28:47):
I was suicide. He cited unusual injuries in Epstein's next
three fractures, the hyoid bone, thyroid cartilage, he believed was
more consistent with homicidal strangulation than hanging. And of course
people have pushed back doctor Sanjay Gupta and stuff, but

(29:10):
take it for what it is. You believe whatever the
administration says then he committed suicide. If you're skeptical because
everything they have said has been bs, we're going to
release the files. He committed suicide. We don't have the tapes.

(29:32):
We do have the tapes, we're missing a minute. It's
been altered. You're gonna believe what you're gonna believe. It's
now so messy, but it's not going anywhere. And this
isn't JFK where it becomes mystery theater. This is you

(29:56):
made a promise politically to us. You have all the
stuff and you're not releasing it. There's a reason for that.

gonna do a little this day in history, and it's
an interesting day in history, There's no doubt about that.
Because we learned about a name that we weren't familiar

(31:49):
with and an organization that we weren't familiar with, and
then three years later we were really familiar with it.

Speaker 3 (31:58):
Talk about that, among other things straight ahed Chad Benton.

Speaker 26 (32:00):
Show, Fronnie with Scissors sounds great compared.

Speaker 2 (32:14):
To this same It's time for a little this day
in history. What day is that? Well, it is August seventh,
in the Year of the Lord, twenty twenty five. But
what took place on this day throughout all of time
that we've recorded? Are you ready for it?

Speaker 1 (32:31):
What's upon in time? A long time ago?

Speaker 27 (32:34):
Now it's time for this day in history. We look
back on this set to find out what famous things.

Speaker 2 (32:40):
Took place.

Speaker 3 (32:42):
So little this day in history.

Speaker 2 (32:45):
August seven, interesting day, say the least, go way back, Yeah,
the coronation of Otto and nine thirty six, that's a
pretty good day. Nineteen forty seven Khan Tiki Expedition concludes
four high dolls raft. The Kantiki completes it's daring trans

(33:06):
Pacific voyage, smashing into a reef in the Tumultuous after
sailing over seven thousand kilometers from South America. The Gulf
of Tonkin Resolution was passed, which allowed Linda B. Johnson
to have a lot of powers and get us more
involved from the Vietnam War. Battle of Kuala Canal began

(33:28):
and Philip Petitz Twin Towers tightrope Walk, the French autness
Fujipe Petit formed a daring, unauthorized tight rope walk between
the two towers of New York the Trade Center, thirteen
hundred feet above the ground, feet later immortalized than the
documentary Man on the Water. But on this day in
nineteen ninety eight, something happened in Kenya and Tanzania that

(33:52):
allowed us to get a look into a world.

Speaker 3 (33:55):
That we really weren't familiar with.

Speaker 18 (33:57):
Beautiful Friday morning, mid morning. It was the day of
the week when we had that event everybody looks forward
to with the weekly staff meeting. I was on the
twenty first floor. I was sitting next to the Minister
on a couch and.

Speaker 1 (34:16):
We heard boom.

Speaker 18 (34:19):
Huge percussion came and threw me back of sha. Some
shadowy figures went by. I thought simultaneously, I'm going to die.

Speaker 2 (34:33):
That right there was the ambassador to Kenyon, her name
Prudence Bushnell. Now that attack, simultaneously with the one in Tanzania,
was the start of what we really would become. Something
we started to pay attention to that we hadn't thought
about for a long.

Speaker 3 (34:51):
Time, which was terrorism.

Speaker 2 (34:53):
That attack alone killed twelve embassy staff members along with
two hundred and twelve Kenyons, injured over four thousand people.
The one in Tanzania killed eleven and wounded eighty five.
We would come to find out that it was organized
by a group called al Qaeda that outside of State
Department and intelligence people, nobody really knew who they were

(35:15):
here in America, and they were led by a guy
named Osama bin Laden. Eventually, the ringleader, Wahid l Hag
was put on trial here in the States, sentenced to
life along with three other co conspirators for the bombing.
That's what took place on this day in history three, two, three, five, eight,
twenty four to twenty three at Chad Benson Shows, Your Exit,

(35:36):
Your instat Ready on the Chad Benson Show, coming up
our number two of the program. Interesting thing that's happening
in the world of social media, that it's going to
be happening, I think in a lot of places that
nobody's really talking about. And it harkens back somewhat to
two thousand and eight, and it has nothing to do

(35:56):
with Holmes, but it does have a lot to do
with why kids are struggling in life in today's world.
We're going to talk about that.

Speaker 3 (36:03):
Israel as well.

Speaker 2 (36:04):
I got an interesting email from somebody yesterday, very nice
email about Israel and what's going on over there. We're
going to talk about that as well. Plus we get
your urban word of the day reach out to us
across all of our social media at chadbents Show, x, Insta, YouTube,
and so many other things. Our number two of the programs,
straight ahead. This is the Chat Benson.

Speaker 28 (36:23):
This is the Chad Benson Show, the Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (36:53):
You guys found the Democrats, yet you don't know where
they are. They're at Illinois. Are Yeah, Yeah, they're in Illinois.
I know, I know it's going to be crazy. It
is well, you know Trump, Trump wants it.

Speaker 3 (37:04):
I want it.

Speaker 2 (37:05):
Let's do it. Let's do it every week. Actually, this
redistrict every day if we can, it'll be fantastic. I
remind everybody why was the special session called in Texas?
Why flood and the response in THC Because the Lieutenant governor,

(37:27):
Lieutenant Diane Patrick, thinks that if you have a gummy,
you're gonna lose your mind and I don't know, go
straight to angel dust or something. I don't know, but
it's now become something big. But remember, it's not about
the people. It's not what the people want. It's never
about the people. It's about the party first. Both sides

(37:48):
are gonna do their thing. And I get asked every
day because I said this was gonna be a big deal,
but I get asked every day, what do you think
of this? I said, I'm not a fan of it.
But they can do it. You don't have to like it.

(38:09):
I'm not a fan of it. I'm not a fan
of jerrymandering. I think we have AI. Now, I think
AI should pick the districts. What would that look like?
How would that be more balanced? Oh my god, politicians
would actually have to work to get stuff done. That
would be crazy. That being said, they have every right

(38:31):
to do it.

Speaker 23 (38:32):
Why do this in a census off year when you
just redistricted in twenty.

Speaker 15 (38:36):
Twenty one because we can, we have the votes, it's
legal for us to do so. It's legal for us
to draw the lines based on political performance. We have
three Hispanic predominated districts in South Texas that we believe
that we can carve out for Republican leadership in the
United States Congress. It's going to be a good thing
for Texas. I don't spend any time thinking about what

(38:57):
happens in California, Illinois.

Speaker 10 (38:59):
Or New York. Here to protect Texas and ensure that
our voices are.

Speaker 2 (39:02):
Heard there, you go there it is. That's why why,
because you can Indiana rep not happy about it, as
a lot of Democrats, and you know what, I've even
talked to a few Republicans who are like, I'm not
a fan of this. Even our buddy Jim Kennedy. Kennedy
answered Public Policy Research he'll.

Speaker 3 (39:19):
Join us tomorrow.

Speaker 2 (39:20):
It's setting I'm not a fan because, first of all,
I'm not a fan of jerry mandering, redistricting, whatever it is,
you can call it what it is. Right, you're setting
yourself up for the win. You're putting yourself in a
position where you are safe. And what happens is the

(39:44):
primary becomes the most important thing, because if you win
the primary, you know you're going to win the election
the general. Yesterday, Marsha Blackburn here in Tennessee. She announced
she's running for governor. She's probably gonna win. And she's
got full name recognition, she's been a senator for a
long time. She's you know, she loves Trump. Trump loves her.

(40:07):
That kind of stuff. Nobody's talking about the Democrats. They
have no chance. It's a statewide thing, but they have
no chance. So what's that mean? The primary is the
only thing that matters. When you jerry manner to a
point that you do you have this, you get the
more extremes because the turnout tends to be way less.

(40:28):
But you know what happens. Who wins usually the person
that is living in the world of extremes. It can
get that portion of the base that is dedicated that
it's going to come out.

Speaker 3 (40:39):
And that's why we have what we have. You know,
I've said it.

Speaker 2 (40:43):
In Arizona, Karen Taylor Robson would have beaten Hobbes the governor.
She would have She couldn't get past Kerry Lake because
the primary was the most important thing. A lot of
times the best doesn't get past the primary, so the
least amount of votes will decide who's going to represent

(41:04):
your side.

Speaker 3 (41:04):
And in a purple state, ooh, that's not good.

Speaker 2 (41:08):
In a blue state or red state, depending on what
side you're on. You just got to win the primary,
and you know you've won.

Speaker 29 (41:17):
I have always been a supporter of nonpartisan redistricting. I
think we need a commission. I've offered many pieces of
legislation to do that. But we are in a fight
for democracy, a fight for democratic lives, and I think
that if the Republicans can have their will in these
deep red states, the Democratic states have to step up.

(41:38):
We have to have a national fight about this, and
we have to preserve democracy. We shouldn't be rigging the
election for one way or the other. We should allow
the voters to decide which way they want the country
to go, and which politicians they want to elect to
lead them, and what we're moving toward. If we don't
have some pushback from the Democratic states, is a delegitimized

(41:59):
Congress is doing whatever it wants with no accountability because
it will not have to fear elections, and we will
set the precedent and it shoe could be on the
other foot later.

Speaker 10 (42:09):
You can have every two years legislatures.

Speaker 29 (42:11):
Coming in and adjusting the maps based on last year's
election results and constantly maintaining their power. Power for power's sake.
We have to have a democracy that reflects the will
the people, and we're not going to have it if
this Trump scheme goes through.

Speaker 2 (42:29):
Do I think democracies dead, No, because go look at
the states. A vast majority of the states, and I
do mean a vast majority. I think there's maybe one
or two that you would consider purple. I look over
Arizona's purple. You can have some of that in places
like Minnesota and even Pennsylvania, Michigan at times. But the

(42:51):
states are what they are. I mean, we talked about
it last hour. They're talking about doing some In Massachusetts.
There is no statewide rep that is a Republican.

Speaker 3 (43:07):
All nine of their House members and two senators.

Speaker 2 (43:12):
Are Democrats, and then of course you know the treasurer
and all that othery're all Democrats. I think there's five
total in the state legislature that are Republicans, and they're
talking about doing something. So I asked a couple different
ais what would you do if you were to redraw

(43:35):
lines and say Texas, Okay, so put it all together.

Speaker 3 (43:43):
This what you got.

Speaker 2 (43:44):
Each congressional district must have roughly equal population seven hundred
and seventy thousand people per district.

Speaker 3 (43:51):
As of the twenty twenty census.

Speaker 2 (43:55):
Compliance with the Voting Right Acts ensures no delution of
my ority voters. Maintain or create majority minority districts, and
that includes, you know, particularly for Latino and Black communities, compactness.

Speaker 3 (44:13):
So what that means is.

Speaker 2 (44:16):
Avoid the cherrymanning, so as they say, no tentacles or
donut districts.

Speaker 3 (44:20):
So it's just here it is.

Speaker 2 (44:22):
This is it keep cities, towns, and cultural economic regions
intact where possible, Avoid splitting key communities up Austin, El Paso,
Rio Grande unless absolutely necessary for the population balance, Draw
more competitive swing districts instead of safe Republican or Democrat zones,

(44:43):
and use nonpartisan led commissions rather than political insiders, and
go from there.

Speaker 3 (44:51):
So what they said, here's a perfect example Dallas. Okay.

Speaker 2 (44:55):
So the way they would do it is the urban
cores would not be cracked into multiple districts just to
dilute Democrat votes. Houston would have three to four competitive districts.
Austin would be as often slicing the six GOP leaning
districts that would be restored to one or two core districts.

(45:16):
Places like Denton Fort Bend would not be lumped into
rural districts. So I mean they come at it in
a very interesting way. Currently Dallas jerrymandered across county lines.
The fix would be aligned with the county and school districts.
So take it for what it is. I mean, again,

(45:36):
it's interesting. This is what politics is. But why it's
important is because local politics matter in major ways, not
only at the state House, but having your person come
back trying to get federal dollars and fighting for you
and your district, your area is important. So it'll be
a very interesting thing to see what the courts say,

(45:59):
because at the end of the day, the courts are
always going to be the ones that lead this. I
think we all recognize that, and they're going to lead
the and by lead, I mean the answer will be
led by the courts. You may deliver the question and
the answer you think you've got right in the way
that you draw stuff up, but the courts will always

(46:20):
have their final say when it comes to pretty much
anything in politics today.

Speaker 3 (46:27):
Just how our.

Speaker 2 (46:27):
Fanding fathers drew it up. I think our founding fathers
would laugh. I watched South Park because they take all
kinds of good swipes at everybody, by the way, everybody
from the woke to Democrats, Republicans. They do and it's hilarious.

(46:48):
And they went after Trump. But their first episode of
the new season and last night, Ice Ice Baby was
under the microscope.

Speaker 3 (47:00):
As was Charlie kirk.

Speaker 2 (47:04):
Cartman. Is Charlie, Well, he's cart you know, he's uh
kart kirk or Kirkman or whatever. I called him as hilarious,
but he had to look the whole nine yards and
he's debating everybody, and he's online.

Speaker 5 (47:18):
It was.

Speaker 2 (47:19):
It was hilarious.

Speaker 3 (47:22):
I do with my body.

Speaker 9 (47:23):
Let me ask you something. If a pregnant woman is
killed and the baby dies too, why is the killer
charged with the double.

Speaker 30 (47:28):
Hammitat Because people have different beliefs.

Speaker 9 (47:31):
It's not about belief, it's about truth. Science confirms life
begins at conception. So yeah, Jeremiah one to five says,
before I formed you in the roomb I knew you.
But it's just morality, the demands we protect the most vulnerable.
So let me ask you, when do you think life began?

Speaker 2 (47:43):
Eric?

Speaker 1 (47:44):
Are you all right in there?

Speaker 28 (47:45):
Yeah?

(56:31):
Of israel they. Are but if you dare even utter the,
words but and then, AFTERWARDS i don't support the killing
of children or they lose their you, know the people
out there lose their. Mind oh you're Anti, semitic and
Then apac and all these people come after.

Speaker 3 (56:50):
You it is absolute horse. Crap it is horse.

Speaker 2 (56:57):
CRAP i would say something, else but we're on the
radio and there are. Rules.

Speaker 3 (57:05):
NOW i got an email.

Speaker 2 (57:05):
Last night from a, guy and very nice, email by the,
way BUT i just want to say that it's always
nice to have a conversation with somebody without, them you,
know starting it out like they do sometimes through text or.

Speaker 3 (57:19):
Whatever it. Is, BASICALLY i f you die those kind
of things because you know you have a lot of that.

Speaker 2 (57:22):
CRAP i don't read you a bit of, it And
i'm not gonna read it. All but he, says you
know this, evening you're talking About hamas And. Israel you
basically said in the Beginning october, Seventh israel was the
victim of The posse attack because they. Were then you
pivoted to the current events in the, area SAYING bb

(57:42):
and his government are going to Occupy. Gaza this is. Wrong, actually,
no that's. True they're doing. THAT i think we recognize
that right like you can go. On it's not being
reported by, me by the, way The israeli media is reporting.
It they're the ones who who are are doing, that not.

(58:06):
Me and he, SAYS i asked, you if your neighbor
was launching deadly rockets in the, yard how long would
you accept the? Situation and this is one of those
things WHERE i understand that IF i was kind to my,
neighbor or at least ignore them but let them live their,

(58:28):
life and they attacked, me well THEN i. Wouldn't but
IF i decided that my neighbor shouldn't have, electricity AND
i can cut it off WHENEVER i. Want shouldn't have the.
INTERNET i control what kind of groceries they get or don't.
GET i control the. WATER i can control whether or

(58:49):
not he gets to leave his house or his. Backyard,
oh because we look at it From israel's point of,
View but the reality is there are two sides to.
This hamas is a, thug, cruel horrific. Organization nobody's denying.

(59:19):
That nobody. Is BUT i bet you didn't. Know Bb
net And yahoo helped Fund hamas for the last several.
Years that was kind of the. Plan he figured if he,
would you, know if they just kept getting, money they'd
be less at to Attack. Israel most people probably don't
know that he actually went OVER i think it was

(59:41):
seven days before the attack to make sure That cutter
was still going to fund, them because there had been
lots of outcries inside Of israel as well as outside
that this is not a good. Thing this is not
a good. THING a vast majority of people out, there

(01:00:06):
they don't understand the. Situation i'll be, honest at TIMES
i didn't understand the situation BECAUSE i didn't pay that
much attention to, it because let's be, real for the
last several, years it's for the most, part been kind
of quiet compared to what it's been in the. Past
but when you see what's going on In, palestine even
Before october, seventh it wasn't like it was a wonderful

(01:00:31):
place that you were going to go, visit because it.
Wasn't egypt controls one, Side jordan doesn't want to let people,
in And israel gets to control pretty much whatever they, want.

Speaker 3 (01:00:51):
And now they see their Opportunity hamas what they did.

Speaker 2 (01:01:01):
Was. Awful nobody is denying, that but to say at
this point in, time killing women and, children using food
as a bait to bring people, in and if you're
not paying, Attention there's been more than a few people

(01:01:22):
that have come out and talked about what's going on
with several of these. Organizations it isn't, Good it isn't,
well there's all these trucks, Here why can't they go

(01:01:43):
over there and deliver? Them why aren't they doing? That
because nobody will work with the organization That israel and
THE us are, running where they have four stops.

Speaker 3 (01:01:54):
That you can go get, food which are in the
middle of the battle.

Speaker 2 (01:02:00):
Zones so this isn't About. Israel this is about the.
Innocent this isn't about the people Of. Israel these are

(01:02:26):
about the innocent who are stuck between a Country israel
that has all the power and a group that is
horrible but for the most part all they. Know and

(01:02:48):
if you think you're going to Eliminate hamas by killing
everybody but a, few then occupying the land and not
thinking that the kids of the parents and grandparents that
you killed aren't gonna grow up and see you as,

(01:03:09):
liberators but more as occupying, Evil you're. Wrong i've said for,
years keep doing the same, thing gonna keep getting the same.
Result trump wants to do something. DIFFERENT i think everybody

(01:03:29):
looks at. It the problem is everybody's afraid to. Go,
yeah but if we, do we're gonna look like. Richers
if we all start going in there and building stuff.
Up you have to take that step to do something.
Different but, yes they're gonna. OCCUPY i think that has
been it from the. BEGINNING i THINK bb is corrupt
as it gets. Go look at all of the cases

(01:03:50):
that are out. There he doesn't want any of these
wars to. END i think he will expand out from
here as we head into the, fall because he, knows,
huh if this keeps, going less opportunity for me to
be convicted of. Anything and you've heard our, Guy Mike.
Liins he, said, Look beebe's a wartime. Guy but the

(01:04:12):
minute this is, over there's a reckoning. Coming and there
is a serious conversation to be. Had as SEVERAL idf
members have come forward about what took place On october
seventh and, why arguably the most protected area on the,
planet they were told to stand down fair question three, two, three, five, three,

(01:04:39):
eight twenty four to twenty three At Chad Benson, show

(01:05:12):
and that's an unfortunate thing BECAUSE i want to.

Speaker 3 (01:05:15):
Know the TRUTH i, do and you're not always.

Speaker 2 (01:05:19):
Going to have. Perfection you. Know one of the regions
of THE bls. Thing you know that's A bureau Of Labor.
Statistics you realize how that. Works so the way that
The bureau Of Labor statistics, work and here's a perfect
example of not getting what you know the answer you.
Want so you're frustrated and people are, like you know.
That you know Under biden they changed like forty six

(01:05:44):
out of forty eight, months they had to go back and. Revise,
yeah when you were, president you were doing it twice a,
month and they did it ninety six. Times because it's not.
Perfect it has to do with whether or not businesses
are participating in the survey and sending in the information about,

(01:06:06):
hiring not, hiring laying, off and things of that. Nature
so sometimes when it comes to, information it's you're making
a decision on just what you have in front of,
you and a lot of times you don't have all the.
Information so think about. That three, two, three, five, three,

Speaker 2 (01:08:57):
Show that is that time of the program where we
take a deep breath and try to figure out what
the hell are these kids? Saying BECAUSE i don't, know
because SOMETIMES i hear a word that we used as
our slang and, uh it's a different slang and sometimes
it's just made up.

Speaker 3 (01:09:15):
Words oh, yeah we want to help you, out.

Speaker 2 (01:09:18):

the urban word of the.

Speaker 27 (01:09:24):
Day the young have a vocabulary all their, own and
we break it down for.

Speaker 2 (01:09:29):
You it's called the urban word of the. Day, alrighty, alrighty.
Alrighty your urban word for This. Thursday saddie z a
D d one, handsome fashionable older. Man you got the

(01:09:55):
cougars and then you got the. Zaddi she found a
za as soon as she. Graduated, chad are you a Chatty?
ZADDIE i do BELIEVE i? Am? Zaddy is your urban
word of the. Day that was the urban word of the. Day,

(01:10:15):
now you, know as we always, say it's nice to,
know even though some people don't ever want to. Know
but you should want to, know is What i'm trying to,
say because knowing is.

Speaker 3 (01:10:28):
Good we have a saying around.

Speaker 2 (01:10:30):
Here nature will mess you, up and sometimes you mess nature.

Speaker 14 (01:10:34):
Up killed it heard on law enforcement bodyborn. Camera the
man living Near Hermit, Peak New, mexico northeast Of, albuquerque
said he was asleep in his home and heard noises
at around eleven at. Night he grabbed his rifle and
found the black bear in his home going through his.
Stuff the bear ripped apart his kitchen. Cabinet he shot the.

(01:10:55):
Bear The game And Fish department says man had every
right to defend. Himself we are not going.

Speaker 10 (01:10:59):
To charge anybody in those.

Speaker 14 (01:11:01):
Situations the man was. Uninsured the bear is.

Speaker 2 (01:11:04):
Dead, see sometimes nature messes you, up and sometimes you
mess nature.

Speaker 3 (01:11:12):
Up, right that was a.

Speaker 2 (01:11:16):
Story where nature came, indoors stopped being in, nature started
being in the, house.

Speaker 3 (01:11:22):
And then got. Popped but don't. Worry nature tied the score.

Speaker 2 (01:11:27):
Yesterday you guys didn't see a buffalo, hunter Wealthy texas trophy.
Hunter it's killed by a.

Speaker 3 (01:11:34):
Buffalo he's tracking because the buffalo didn't.

Speaker 2 (01:11:37):
Want to be. Tracked and as we always, say, kids
nature will mess you. Up the fifty two year old
man From texas was tracking the massive beast sometimes referred
to as Black, death when it wasn't wounded but was.
Agitated it spun around and at thirty five miles an,
Hour Gord watkins killing him. Instantly if you mess with the,

(01:12:01):
bull you may get the. Horns this is what we
say nature will mess you, Up so be aware of
fat three, two, three, five three, eight twenty, four twenty
three At Chapmans, Shows your ext your Instagrat here on
The Chat Benson, show coming, up our number three of the.
Program how big is the student loan? Crisis AND i

(01:12:26):
call it a crisis because something new is going on
in the TikTok, world the social media world about student
loans AND i think it gives a glimpse into, ay
how much money people owe THAT i don't think a
lot of people aware. Of and b as more and
more young adults are missing the milestones like marriage and,
homeownership you're.

Speaker 3 (01:12:47):
Starting to see. Why plus we've got more on.

Speaker 2 (01:12:50):
Redistricting we've got Your This day In, history as well
as what's trending straight a chat message.

Speaker 28 (01:12:57):
Job this is The Chad Benson, Show.

Speaker 1 (01:13:32):
The Chad Benson, show.

Speaker 2 (01:13:35):
Breaking news while breaking. Earlier according To John, corwin THE
fbi director has approved the request to help arrest the
Runaway democrats out Of. Texas, man this is, Stupid it really.

(01:13:58):
Is it is. Ridiculous but, ALAS i expect nothing less
from our politicians. Anymore this has nothing to do with
politics for the. People this is about. Them what's that old?
Thing enough about, you here's some more about.

Speaker 31 (01:14:17):
Me this is going to get. Done but whether it's
the will of the people to Further jerry manner districts
to Give republicans five more seats because that's What Donald
trump asks them to. DO i don't know that you
call that the will of the. PEOPLE i think you
call that the will Of Donald. Trump but, true, true

(01:14:38):
he did.

Speaker 2 (01:14:38):
It he did because he, could because they, can And california,
Can New york. CAN i, mean even when they got
stuff in their, constitution these states are in such a
position that they can get around. That no, problem always

(01:15:00):
a work. Around massachusetts is a perfect example of. Insanity
they're talking about doing. Something they have no representation Of
republicans anywhere in state wide office. Zero about thirty five
percent of people In massachusetts are would be considered. Conservative

(01:15:20):
nine nine people In congress that go TO dc All,
democrats two Senators, democrats the entire leadership of the state
from the governor, down All democrats in the state legislator
only Five republicans out of. Forty that's not really. Representation

(01:15:44):
every state gerry, manders every state does. This, this though
is great for. Fundraising it's great to make a lot of,
noise but you know, what it's good for, us the,
people to see how this thing plays out in real,
time to, say maybe we're not into, this maybe this
isn't the will of the, people and Good, god stop

(01:16:07):
making it about you. Again the endgame here is.

Speaker 31 (01:16:12):
Obvious texas takes, Five california adds. Five other red states come,
back other blue states come.

Speaker 2 (01:16:20):
Back kabuki theater for the.

Speaker 31 (01:16:22):
BASE i, Suppose but at the end of the, day.

Speaker 2 (01:16:25):
There's really no difference and no, zero, zilch. Nada Kabuki theater's.
Right once, again enough about, you here's some more about.

Speaker 32 (01:16:34):
Me so WHAT i think is important about this story
is that it's PRETTY i think the it's unusual and
unprecedented to have a president say to a, GOVERNOR i
need you to give me these.

Speaker 2 (01:16:48):
Seats, Okay so this is not.

Speaker 32 (01:16:50):
Normal, redistricting AND i think that's an important point. Here
where it, GOES i think we all can see is
going to be highly problematic forever one, involved including all of.
Us but it is abnormal at, best abnormal at worst. Unprecedented,
right there's not.

Speaker 2 (01:17:09):
TRUE i, mean you Know i've Said i'm not a
fan of. This i'm not a fan Of Jerry man
doing across the. Board we're gonna actually break it down
for you because we ran it through a bunch OF ai.

Speaker 3 (01:17:19):
Models we've got how this would.

Speaker 2 (01:17:21):
Work, also how based on today's world, votes et, cetera et,
cetera how it would break out in The. House and
that's only for The. House, again The senate's different because it's,
statewide it's not. Districts is it, Unprecedented, yes that's What trump.
Does trump, Says i'm gonna do it Till tombody tells

(01:17:44):
ME i can't do. It and then the court comes
in and, goes, yeah you can't do. It and he's
not your, court the highest court in the. Land you're not.
It and then eventually gets, there and that's what this
is going to. Do this is going to go To.

Speaker 3 (01:17:54):
Scotis scotus will decide.

Speaker 2 (01:17:56):
THIS i like the fact that we get a first
hand knowledge of what's really all, about which is we
don't pick. Them they pick. Us we don't pick our
candidates Are congress. People they pick us by jerrymandering. It they, decide,

(01:18:22):
okay you know, What i'll pick you because you'll probably
vote for. Me you may not vote for, me So
i'll make sure that you're not in this bucket over.
Here so think about that they pick, us we don't pick,
them and that should be alarming to, everybody and most

(01:18:47):
people probably haven't thought of it that, way but we
need to BECAUSE i think it's a little bit more
eye opening than people. Realize that's WHY i said this
was going to be a big. Deal and it's also
theater because everybody here isn't worried about going to jail

(01:19:08):
or any of that. Stuff they're getting everything they. Want in,
fact being arrested by THE fbi for being out of
the state for not holding a quorum In texas would
be a huge windfall and it would raise your, brand
if you know WHAT i. Mean three, two, three, five three,
eight twenty, four twenty three At Chad Benson, show it's YOUR,

(01:19:28):
x Your, insta your, YouTube And. Facebook so we did
break this thing down because that is what we do, here.
KIDS i ran it through several. Models it was pretty
cool and we have a definitive. Answer so, nonpartisan completely

(01:19:58):
based on population, size equal population per. District following of,
course you know The Voting Rights act. Everything this is
what it is independent look at what would. Happen so,

(01:20:21):
currently because of some, retirements it is two nineteen for The, republicans.

Speaker 3 (01:20:27):
Two twelve.

Speaker 2 (01:20:30):
For The.

Speaker 3 (01:20:32):
Democrats, Okay so it's.

Speaker 2 (01:20:33):
Close that's why people are so frustrating With Mike, johnson
and it's it's. Close it's close because we're. Close so
following all the stuff the way that that we would
break this, down AND i think it's really really. Good,
again it's about equal population per, district contiguous, Districts so

(01:21:00):
compact contiguous district meaning there's no, tentacles there's no, donuts
there's no. Horseshoes it's not skipping three blocks to add
to that bucket, there adding more swing states and districts and,
everything so making things in where they've got to work for,
you like even if they're leaning right or leaning, left

(01:21:22):
it's still there's an opportunity. There and some some districts
are going to be a complete toss. Up so this
is what it would look.

Speaker 3 (01:21:32):
Like are you?

Speaker 2 (01:21:34):
Ready texas current map crack cities Like austin And. Houston
the fair, map, okay would add three to five seats
for The. Democrats Florida democrats would add four Seats North
carolina would add Two, Georgia, ohio And dennisee would add

(01:21:57):
anywhere between one to. Two for The, republicans they would
see gains In, illinois, Two maryland One New. York if drawn,
completely they could add another. Two how would that break?
Down democrats would go from where they currently? Are was
it two twelve to anywhere between two twenty two to twenty?

(01:22:19):
Seven republicans would go from two to eight to two,
thirteen and there would be five to ten toss up seats.
Available it would make several competitive. Districts in, fact it
would make up to eighty districts that would truly be,
competitive better representation both for the rural and for Urban

(01:22:44):
the minority voting power would be stronger way fewer safe.
Districts even if it leans a little right or a little,
left it's still the opportunity to turn it to a swing.
District it past public trust and turnout likely The democrats

(01:23:06):
would get a slim lead in The. House but what
this does is you're never too far away from running
The house or being in the, Minority and it takes
away the frustration of them picking us and making sure
that everything's safe for, them rather than them working for,

(01:23:26):
us which is what we. Want so, interesting no doubt about.
That three, two, three, five three, eight twenty four to
twenty three At Chad Benson, show is your ex your
insta all of the other things from my, Friends, Uh, Russia, Russia, Russia.
Russia not that. Way, No, no people ask, them why
don't you talk about The russia stuff With Tulsa gabbard and,

(01:23:47):
that and, like, CAUSE i don't. CARE i don't think
anything's gonna come out of. It What obama did and
what they, did it was all. Bs the media played
a huge role in. That you're not going to go arrest,
them SO i don't. CARE i Don't.

Speaker 3 (01:24:07):
What they did was. AWFUL i expect that at times
for my government.

Speaker 15 (01:24:13):
It was.

Speaker 2 (01:24:13):
Crap But i'm more worried about what's going on In
russia now and what could be coming in the. Future
with a meeting Which Wayne putin And, trump maybe sooner than.
Later trump would Like zelensky to, come and The putters,
LIKE i don't, know maybe he come to second story

Mom. Dommy republicans freaking out and excited because they're, like finally, socialism, etcetera.
Etcetera you know the crap that you hear about this
guy In New, york this Mom dommy. Character what is
he all? About The Zoraen mundami. Guy democrats freaking out,
because oh my, goodness there's energy behind this. GUY a

(01:31:46):
lot of his ideas are. Whack they Are we've talked about.
It but he's. Young and he looks at the, young
a massive voting, block young, adults and you know what he.
Thinks they're. Pissed they're, angry they're. Frustrated what Did trump?
Do he looked at the young and you know what he,
Thinks they're, pissed they're, angry they're. Frustrated there's more than

(01:32:09):
something there because they've they're in a situation that my
Generation GEN x didn't go. Through we were behind The Baby,
boomers and the Baby boomers were the first one to
get to. College. College you had THE gi, bill, right
you had the Post World war two, boom and you

(01:32:32):
saw a huge expansion from the fifties to the. Seventies
we because we raised, ourselves we slowed the. Growth tuition
was a little bit more, expensive but at the same,
time there was a more diverse group that was going
to college at the, time some more, women my. Minorities
millennials' highest college enrollment rates of any generation up until that,

(01:32:55):
point massive. Debt GEN z still at or just recently,
graduated super high, enrollment but more skeptical to say the. Least,
now if you break it, down and this because Again
i'm A, Fax i'm a data, GUY i want to
know why is it that this is the coming apocalypse

(01:33:17):
that is hitting our nation in a way that most
people don't. Understand AND i get a lot of people
who are my age in The. Boomers car, OH i
went to. SCHOOL i paid for it. Myself what it
cost a. Nickel so let's break down the dollar. Amount
so medium household income SEVENTIES, era about ten grand a,

(01:33:43):
year about seventy seven thousand in today's, dollars the amount
spent on tuition at a public state. School so at
in state school four percent of your, income it was
three hundred and ninety four to then it would be
about thirty one hundred now now fourteen percent state, school

(01:34:06):
so about three and a half times.

Speaker 3 (01:34:08):
Private, well it's.

Speaker 2 (01:34:09):
Insane nineteen seventy it was about eighteen percent of your,
income about eighteen hundred dollars a year equivalent of about fourteen.
Thousand so what it cost to go to basically to
a state school in today's, dollars it's fifty seven percent
of the, income forty two thousand dollars a. Year What
and that's why we have a bit of a coming.

(01:34:31):
Apocalypse that's why things like.

Speaker 14 (01:34:34):
This in nineteen seventy, five almost half of twenty five
to thirty four year olds had experienced what are considered
the four milestones of, adulthood moving out of their parents',
home getting a, job getting, married and having. Children but
a NEW Us Census bureau working paper finds nearly fifty years,
later less than a quarter OF us adults have achieved
those same, milestones and researchers theorize it's a result of

(01:34:56):
young adults today prioritizing economic security over starting a, family
partially due to the cost of housing and other life needs.

Speaker 2 (01:35:05):
College so the new thing on the TikTok and all
the interwebs is going and, saying what the eff is going?
ON i didn't realize how expensive life was going to
be when it comes to, college and that it's going
to follow you forever because, remember can't get rid of that.

Speaker 19 (01:35:22):
Debt last NIGHT i had a log into my student
loan account to put out the paperwork to have my
taxes done. Today SO i got to get a glimpse
of my student loan balance for the first, time AND
i don't, know presumably a. YEAR i honestly don't remember
knowing WHAT i. Owed still, now for a point of,
REFERENCE i graduated in twenty, Eleven, okay So i've been
making student loan payments for almost fourteen.

Speaker 7 (01:35:44):
YEARS i actually did the.

Speaker 19 (01:35:46):
Math it was about one hundred and sixty five monthly
student loan payments That i've made so.

Speaker 7 (01:35:50):
Far, Okay, NOW i went to pharmacy. School i'm a.
Pharmacist that's a doctor. Degree it took six.

Speaker 19 (01:35:56):
YEARS i went to a private, school not BECAUSE i wanted,
to but at the, time there were only six schools
in the state Of pennsylvania with a pharmacy. Program two
of them were stay, schools four of them were. Private
chose the SCHOOL i chose because they gave me a
twelve thousand dollars a year academic scholarship for the first four.
Years SO i got forty eight thousand dollars worth of academic.

(01:36:17):
Scholarship so that's WHY i chose that.

Speaker 2 (01:36:19):
School, okay all.

Speaker 3 (01:36:21):
Right so and by the, way she is very.

Speaker 2 (01:36:23):
Calm wait to hear the next.

Speaker 3 (01:36:24):
Lady there's a.

Speaker 2 (01:36:25):
Coup more from her, Though but she's a, pharmacist she
makes good. Money but she was shocked about how long
she has been paying and what she's actually done to
take a bite out of her.

Speaker 19 (01:36:35):
Debt so my, education even with the, scholarship costs still
like a quarter of a million.

Speaker 7 (01:36:41):
Roughly, Now i'm fortunate my parents pay for a really
good chunk of. That over one hundred.

Speaker 19 (01:36:45):
THOUSAND i don't know remember the exact, numbers, honestly of
how it all washed. Out BUT i do know WHEN
i got my first student loan bill in the mail while,
brick but my balance was like right around one hundred
and twenty five thousand. Dollars, okay one hundred and sixty
five monthly payments on one hundred and twenty five thousand.
Dollars how much do you THINK i still owe seventy

(01:37:11):
eight thousand?

Speaker 7 (01:37:12):
Dollars, YEAH i don't. Know the math isn't.

Speaker 2 (01:37:15):
Mathing it isn't mathing the way THAT i think people,
Did LIKE i, said we broke it down for you.
Earlier it's. Insane the, cost even with people that get
grants and stuff like, that the cost is. Insane is
one person put, it what used to be having a

(01:37:36):
summer job to help you pay for college for the,
year which it. Covered now it's decades of debt now full.

Speaker 19 (01:37:45):
DISCLOSURE i did refinance at some, point which is a horrible.
Idea like at the, time it seems like a good
idea because the monthly payments are so like, Overwhelming but
in the long.

Speaker 7 (01:37:54):
Run you're screwing.

Speaker 19 (01:37:55):
Yourself when you refinance a student, loan you just you
just are so one hundred and sixty five monthly PAYMENTS
i never deferred, IT i never missed the, payment AND
i still owe seventy eight thousand.

Speaker 7 (01:38:07):
Dollars And i've been out of school for fourteen.

Speaker 19 (01:38:09):
Years my oldest turns ten next, Week so, realistically if
she decides to go to, College i'm going to be
still paying my student loans and likely still owe what
like thirty some thousand dollars on my student loans When
i'm trying to figure out how to pay for her.

Speaker 2 (01:38:25):
College crazy but. True AND i have friends who are
paying for their school and their kids have graduated, college
they've got student, loans and my friends are still paying
off their student. Loans.

Speaker 19 (01:38:43):
Insane AND i don't know what the solution is to
this whole.

Speaker 7 (01:38:47):
SITUATION i don't think loan forgiveness is.

Speaker 19 (01:38:49):
FAIR i don't think taxpayers who didn't go to college
should have to have their tax money pay off the
student loans for those who.

Speaker 7 (01:38:56):
Did choose to go to. COLLEGE i don't think that's
fair at.

Speaker 19 (01:38:58):
All BUT i DO i think something needs to be
done because universities are charging like obscene.

Speaker 7 (01:39:04):
Tuition student loan.

Speaker 19 (01:39:06):
Companies are doing predatory lending to children and setting up
people for like a lifetime of. Debt, like you're starting
out your adult life with like crippling debt AND i
don't know what the solution is, here but something isn't.

Speaker 2 (01:39:18):
Working, yeah it's a racket one point seven trillion dollars
and we're gonna get to a financial specialists in a.
Bit this, lady she is not the norm talking about.
This there are some people out there that are like,
her but a lot of. It all, right hang, on,

(01:39:42):
guys because this, GIRL I i feel for, her and
at the same time it's kind of, funny BUT i
do feel for.

Speaker 34 (01:39:55):
Her so as it turns, out the student loans That
i've been paying fifteen hundred dollars a, month four for two,
years have a seventeen percent interest.

Speaker 14 (01:40:04):
Rate so WHAT i Thought i'd been.

Speaker 7 (01:40:08):
Hanging off for all this, Time.

Speaker 12 (01:40:10):
I'm actually LIKE i own more than WHAT i started off.

Speaker 5 (01:40:13):
With so jump.

Speaker 7 (01:40:16):
Bezos this would be a really cool.

Speaker 14 (01:40:18):
Time to venmo me Bro LIKE i own ninety.

Speaker 34 (01:40:21):
Thousand dollars AND i didn't even spend that much on,
School like any rich person please tappen Like Courtney, kardashian
like you probably have eight, Houses i'm never gonna be
able to buy one BECAUSE i went to college.

Speaker 2 (01:40:36):
Whoa you want to know why they young aren't getting
married fifteen hundred dollars a. Month it is insane to
see some of these payments twenty two hundred dollars a.
Month why don't they buy a? House they can't afford
it down and they've already got a house.

Speaker 34 (01:40:52):
PAYMENT i just signed up to be an egg donor
guess WHAT i?

Speaker 2 (01:40:56):
Got approved wants.

Speaker 34 (01:40:57):
KIDS i can't afford on theisode.

Speaker 2 (01:41:00):
Started b, anymore just take?

Speaker 7 (01:41:02):
Arm what do you want my left arm?

Speaker 18 (01:41:03):
Too?

Speaker 9 (01:41:04):
Like what AM i supposed to?

Speaker 12 (01:41:06):
Do i'm, Like i'm gonna be in debt for my whole?
Life how does that even make?

Speaker 34 (01:41:12):
SENSE i signed up with WHEN i was, Seventeen.

Speaker 14 (01:41:15):
Like this should not be, legal.

Speaker 34 (01:41:17):
BRO i got upset about it at work and my
coworker was, like don't you have like a rich relative
who can pay that for?

Speaker 7 (01:41:23):
You?

Speaker 19 (01:41:24):
No my family's, Poor like, no.

Speaker 14 (01:41:29):
No and the worst part is prol, Aquarium LIKE.

Speaker 7 (01:41:35):
I can't go in BECAUSE i.

Speaker 34 (01:41:36):
Hat spent, money but he just want to be because
it makes me feel.

Speaker 3 (01:41:40):
Better she's in front of like a target and THE Tj.

Speaker 2 (01:41:43):
Max that is more the, norm and that doesn't help
us as a nation when it comes to kids reaching
those milestone KIDS i, mean you, know, twenties even some
in their. Thirties that doesn't. Help and then let's talk
about the impact to us as a. Nation we're not,

(01:42:07):
reproducing people aren't having, kids they're not buying. Houses and
one thing that we don't talk about is, mom, dad, grandma.

Speaker 3 (01:42:15):
Grandpa they're on hook for some of these, loans.

Speaker 35 (01:42:18):
Very similar to the two thousand and eight housing, crisis
like a tidal wave that's. Coming Because i'm, like, okay,
well if all these kids are locked up a student
loan debt and their parents are now like double, strapped
and their grandparents are tapped out to one of the
biggest groups that's taken out student loans is actually is
actually grandparents because they've tapped the parents, out they've tapped
the kids, out and they're going back for the grandparents
who've got multiple. Loans and you've got multiple generations mortgage
to these papers that have NEGATIVE roi for a lot of,

(01:42:40):
them and we're completely unnecessary and we're taken out far too.

Speaker 2 (01:42:43):
Early, absolutely now here's where it gets. Scary here's where
it gets. Scary here's the two thousand and eight kind of.
Similarity not saying it's going to happen two thousand and eight,
crash but we're talking about the debt side of.

Speaker 35 (01:42:57):
Stuff it is creating and is going to create a
crisis of that two thousand and eight. RECESSION i believe
because you look at they have the slabs the student
loan asset back, securities which is exactly exactly like the mortgage,
loan like the mortgage crisis where they had the tranches
and they were all rated TRIPLE. A and the thing
is with the housing, crisis at least the, mortgages there

(01:43:19):
was an asset to be, seized right there was a,
house even if it was a worthless, house it was
at least the house that the bank could.

Speaker 2 (01:43:24):
Sell that could.

Speaker 35 (01:43:25):
Seize there's, nothing there's nothing back in these loans but.
Labor that's. It it's the labor of the people who
took them. Out so it's backed by. Nothing there's nothing
to seize except for the labor of the, people the
earnings of the people who took the loans. Out because
you'll see it like discover will sell like a bundle
of loans and people will pay like billions of dollars

(01:43:45):
more than they're worth because they know because the loans
are bankruptcy exam because of The Higher Education, act that they
can hunt those people to the ends of the earth
and they're going to have to pay. It it's crazy
and nobody sees.

Speaker 2 (01:43:54):
It they need to start paying. Attention if you got
kids or, GRANDKIDS i bet you understand three, two, three,
five three, eight twenty four to twenty three atch Had
Benson show is your extra insta all of the other.
Things i'm telling you, guys this is a nightmare that
is going to get much. Worse and while they took
out the, loans yes us as, parents, grandparents we helped

(01:44:18):

In tanzania was the start of what we really would.
Become something we started to pay attention to that we
hadn't thought about for a long, time which was. Terrorism

(01:48:14):
that attack alone killed twelve embassy staff members along with
two hundred and twelve, kenyons injured over four thousand. People
the one In tanzania killed eleven and wounded eighty. Five
we would come to find out that it was organized
by a group called Al qaeda that outside Of State
