Speaker 1 (00:11):
The Chad Benson Show.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
This is the Chad Benson Show. My name is Craig Collins,
filling in, thrilled to be with you. So much stuff
to talk about today. Breaking overnight, the US and China
lifted the tariffs. Mostly it looks like the tariffs will
now be thirty percent on Chinese imports into the United
States ten percent on United States imports into China.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
This is all for ninety days.

Speaker 2 (00:39):
In a joint statement that was made just over the
night last night, the United States and China will meet
to potentially making a trade agreement over the course of
that time, starting today, I believe, and hopefully by the
end of all this again there's a trade deal.

Speaker 3 (00:56):
Now here's what's funny to me.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
I don't know if that's the right word, but I've
used it so darned I'm going to go with it.
Here's what's interesting to me about this whole thing. What
if it all works? Is and I think that I
said that filling in for Chat a little while ago,
but what if all of this trade drama, all of
these teriff things, all the Democrats who got, you know,

(01:18):
terribly mad at Trump, what if all of it works?
What if at the end of this, we have better
trade deals with several countries and a tremendously good deal.
I'm gonna go ahead and act like Trump for a second.
We have a hugely beautiful deal with China, which could happen.
I don't know if it will. But the trade surplus,

(01:40):
the you know, trade deficit stuff that we have been
dealing with for so long, what if all of it's.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
Fixed, that'd be amazing.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
I don't know how to say that any differently, and
I guess there's not more of a hot take there
than to just put that out there and say it
out loud that if all of this negotiating actually turns
into some thing valuable, I wonder, I mean, I know.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
The answer to this, but I'm just gonna ask it.
I'm gonna say it.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
I wonder if anyone out there could actually admit the
people who hate Trump that this all wound up being
a good thing.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
I know they can't. I know they won't.

Speaker 2 (02:15):
I know it doesn't exist in the world for people
to do something like that, to do in about face
in a way where they actually admit the mistakes. But
darn it, it feels like we could be getting closer
to that here's what I actually think will happen before
I move on to another topic. And I have Jasmin
Krockett talking about white supremacists, so that'll be fun. We'll

(02:37):
dive into that in a second, but before I finish
on this, I just think what's so sort of important
for people to understand in all of the back and
forth and fighting is that inevitably, I believe that no
matter what the deal is, Conservatives will say it's amazing,
and Democrats will say it's it's fake, it's you know,

(02:58):
a show and not act actually beneficial, and you'll have
to figure it out for yourself.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
I know that'll be the end result in all of this.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
But hey, if life actually gets better a couple of
years from now or a few months from now, I
don't know how long it would take, then darn it,
I guess we might have some version of Hey, this
wound up being good for us, even though they said
it was going to be awful, and it really didn't
raise prices all that much for any real amount of time.
All right, let's move on other stuff out there. As
I said, Jasmine Crockett was talking about white supremacists, including

(03:29):
the KKK, and how they align with the Republican Party,
and this was crazy, and she's said a lot of
crazy stuff recently. Let's go ahead and hit play on
a little bit of this. Oh you can't hear anything.
Hold on one second, I'll go ahead and make sure
that we get that playing.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
And now here we go it trying to act like, oh,
political violence, it's the Democrats and it's the liberals, and
it's like, actually, it got actually actually, I mean I'm
not going to say that like a left leaning person
cannot be violent, because that would be like crazy to
say that somebody can't be but maybe maybe.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
Okay, I already got to stop it. It already makes me mad.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
It's it's insane to pretend as though there's only one
side of the political aisle that has people that are
violent within it. This is already insane, because absolutely there
are a ton of very violent people that describe themselves
as liberals, describe themselves as Democrats, get mad at all
kinds of things. This absolutely exists in general. But then

(04:29):
to paint a political party as you know, physically aggressive,
as you know, physically violent. The Democrats have even called
for their party to get up in the face of
Republicans before this is this is nuts.

Speaker 5 (04:44):
Y'all got the white supremacist galore, okay, like all of them.

Speaker 6 (04:48):
You got the Proud Boys, you.

Speaker 5 (04:49):
Got, you got the neo Nazis. You have people that
literally should be classified as domestic terrorists because a lot
of times that is what they are doing. They're engaging
in domestic terrorism.

Speaker 6 (05:03):
And guess what they all align with your side?

Speaker 3 (05:06):
Yeah, including the KKK.

Speaker 5 (05:07):
So like, I mean, this is this is.

Speaker 6 (05:10):
Who aligns with that?

Speaker 5 (05:11):
So like inherently and like who we are, y'all are violent,
like y'all.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
And this is insane, There's no other way to say it.
So there's a bunch of groups that align with the
left that actually have just as much of an inclination
to be violent as any group that she's saying that aligns.

Speaker 3 (05:31):
With the right.

Speaker 2 (05:32):
It doesn't describe the people who aren't a part of
that group. By the way, this is this is easily
the most obvious take from this statement is you can't
say that I've painted my entire wall. You know, two
different colors, and they're somewhat similar colors, so we're just
gonna call them both the same. It's like red and

(05:52):
orange and they're like, yeah, so now everything's orange, even
though half of it or most of it is evidently
not the same color.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
That's the way this argument goes.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
And honestly, I'm getting sick of this, and I don't
know if you are.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
I hope everyone out there is.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
I think that eventually we should be, because it's the
only plan that Democrats have to combat conservative ideals, conservative
talking points, anything that seems common sense within that party
is to just claim that people have to be violent,
they have to be mean and evil, and you know,

(06:29):
they hate others and they don't care about anything.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
All this stuff.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
That's the only narrative that exists on a side of
the aisle that doesn't have position positions on things itself.
That's the way that they try to get themselves to
win elections is just to convince you that they're the
good guys, even though they don't tell you what they're
actually going to do. It's really insane and I can't
get over how often this happens. But here it is

(06:55):
out there again, going viral once more. All Right, some
other things out there in the world, as far as
basic news stuff goes beyond just what's going on with China.
There are more statements being made in the Ukraine Russia
a conflict. One of the things that I find very
interesting about that is that Putin has been calling for

(07:17):
talks directly with Ukraine and hopefully there is something that
happens there that actually causes some sort of peace agreement.
The United States seems to be capable of being involved, however,
they want to be involved in this process.

Speaker 3 (07:32):
But I just I'll say this.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
And I don't know, because it seems that Vladimir Putin
has wanted stuff that even the United States thinks is
ridiculous to end that war. But if there is peace
in Ukraine, in Russia in the near future, if there's
a trade deal with China, if all these things actually occur,
you have to wonder if this would have happened under Biden.

(07:57):
Because we're not a year in to the Trump presidency yet,
and it seems that there's light at the end of
a lot of these tunnels, and so that matters. That
absolutely matters, and you'd think that moving forward, based on
that information, maybe somebody will give him at a boy
Just to repeat myself from before, although I again I

(08:18):
highly highly doubt that'll actually occur. All right, other things
out there that I thought were interesting. There's audio to
play from a couple other politicians out there discussing certain things.
One is Treasury Secretary Scott Bassett Assent and his comments
about in agreement on a ninety day pause.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
I'll go ahead and actually play that audio.

Speaker 2 (08:41):
I have it, so why not from the discussion about
China and the United States.

Speaker 7 (08:46):
We have reached an agreement on a ninety day pause
and substantially moved down the tariff levels. Both sides on
the reciprocal tariffs will move their terraffs down one and

(09:08):
fifteen percent.

Speaker 2 (09:14):
I kind of really liked the dramatic pause there that
I'm not stopping the audio. I mean, I did stop
the audio now, but that was all the real pause
version of let's get applause for this. Okay, no one's
gonna clap for me, Fine, I'll continue.

Speaker 7 (09:26):
We had very robust discussions. Both sides showed a great respect.
It was the chance for me to meet the Chinese delegation,
the Vice Premiere. I had previously had only a video

(09:46):
call with Ambassador Jamison was familiar with two of the
other leaders on the delegation from his previous time so
there was very good personal interaction.

Speaker 2 (10:04):
Very good personal interaction, very good conversation.

Speaker 3 (10:08):
Everything was great, all right.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
He could have said this a little bit more exciting,
but nonetheless that was the statement from before about the
changes in the trade war between the United States and China.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
And this is a good thing. Again.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
I'm excited, maybe more so than even the Treasure Secretary is.
All right, one last thing that I'll mention before we
take a break and then come back and talk about
a whole bunch of sillier stuff. ABC did try to
turn a thing that President Trump is doing into a scandal,
even though it's sort of hilarious. Trump would like to

(10:42):
replace Air Force one. President Trump would like to update
some things. And there's a gift that's expected to be
announced this week from Trump or from Qatar when he
visits there, President Trump, and it will be directly tied
to updating the plane that he flies on. And somehow,
some way, ABC thinks this is a giant scandal, a horrible,

(11:05):
terrible scandal. And I find this actually quite interesting and
quite amusing, as do a lot of people. Because they're
grasping at straws. It seems they're trying to find anything
they can to say, look at how horrible this is
over here, this terrible thing that he's doing. But all right,
on that note, we will pause for just a second.
We will take a break and come back with some

(11:26):
sillier things going on in the world, because darn it,
they're more fun to talk about. But for now, this
is Craig Collins filling in on the Chad Benson Show.
More coming up in just a little bit on your Monday.

Show my name Is Craig, collins filling in thrilled to
be with. YOU a bunch of stuff out there to talk.
About food tastes better with a little bit of. Booze
this is not, surprising but it is a new research
study that was published the phenomenon was first studied back
in twenty, fifteen at least according to this Article i'm.
READING i feel like it's been studied for all of

(13:34):
time as far As i'm. Concerned but, anyway the newer
study confirms what we found before that if you're drinking
just a little bit of alcohol with your, food it tastes.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
Better you actually feel rewarded when, eating.

Speaker 2 (13:48):
Especially high fat foods on healthy, foods because darn, it you're,
drinking and that makes everything more fun to an amount of,
time and then eventually it makes things. Horrible so definitely drink.
Responsibly BUT i do love. This the example they used
in the test was that they gave people either of
vodka an orange juice or just orange juice as they

(14:09):
were eating high, fat savory, foods and the people who
are drinking vodka and orange juice enjoyed themselves a bit. More,
AGAIN i feel like that statement could be made more
than just about, eating about a whole host of. Things
AND i won't say anymore BECAUSE i don't want to
get in. Trouble all, right other things out there THAT
i found. AMUSING a recent wedding in THE uk had

(14:31):
ninety five. BRIDESMAIDS i don't know, why but it. Did
there's a photo that went viral of the bridal, party
and you've got the bride and then all of her
bridesmaids standing on both sides of, her and the dude
only had eight, groomsmen which honestly seems like a lot
to have eight buddies with you for the. Wedding but

(14:52):
when your wife brought ninety, five you've got to feel,
insane you. Know the only THING i was thinking about
that connects to me personally on this, story AND i
don't even know IF i should say this because it's
not the, same BUT i. WILL i got married to
my wife In. Mexico she is from, there and she
had a lot more family at the wedding THAN i
had at the, wedding for a variety of, reasons but

(15:14):
mostly because she didn't know how to cut people. Out
and it's also just part of her culture to have
people that are family that really just sound like neighbors
if it's you AND i talking and not her.

Speaker 3 (15:23):
Talking so that reminded me of.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
This but there were not ninety five, Bridesmaids SO i
guess in the, END i kind of want even THOUGH
i think we paid for a whole lot of that wedding,
ourselves and it was expensive because of the amount of
people we had. Attend but all, right on that, note
we can move on to other things that don't get
me in trouble with the. Misses this Is Craig collins
filling in on The Chad Benson. Show although it was

(15:49):
a lot of fun to have a giant, WEDDING i
should say that that is one thing about it that
is always. Great the more, people the more. BOOZE i
think that's also. Involved one last thing THAT i love.
Too just one other quick story out. There one in
seven people said they'd rather be trash talked about behind
their back than not mentioned at.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
All people were.

Speaker 2 (16:07):
Asked the question if you had one of two choices
where your coworkers family. MEMBERS i guess whoever would be
doing the trash talk if they were, Happening if that was,
happening instead of no one talking about you at. All
they think that that's. Better at least people. Care THEN
i would go with the not talking to me talking
about me at. ALL i actually think that that's a better.

(16:28):
THING i think that you're in a better situation where
people don't feel the need to complain about you to someone,
else because it's not like we talk about other people
in a positive way. OFTEN i think that whenever you
have multiple people, together, say you, know you go on
a lunch break or something at a, job they're not
likely to talk about how much they like some. People

(16:50):
they might actually genuinely really enjoy some of the people
they work. With but, again that's not what's coming. Up
they're only talking about the people they don't. Like this
is a lesson we learn all the Time i'm in the,
world a lesson we learn every day on social. Media
SO i actually think it would be good to not
be talked about because it means you're probably. Liked but all,
right on that, note we'll take a. BREAK a whole

(17:10):
lot coming. Up Greg collins filling in On The Chad Benson,
Show The Chad Benson, Show.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
Show my name Is Craig, collins filling.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
In thrilled to be with. YOU a bunch of stuff
out there for us to talk. About President trump over the.
Weekend put a comment up on Truth social about an
executive order he's going to sign. Soon targeting lowering prices
of a whole bunch of prescription. Drugs some of the message,
said for many, years the world was wondering why prescription
drugs and pharmaceuticals in The United states Of america were

(18:27):
so much higher in price than they were in any other,
nation sometimes five to ten times more expensive than the
same drug manufacturer in the exact same laboratory or plant
by the same. Company that's the big. Question that's the
all caps part of his. Message he goes on to
say that his executive Order i'm paraphrasing now that he'll
sign that he signed this, MORNING i will essentially force

(18:51):
these companies to sell a price that he would call
A us premium price or A us first version of
a price that would be lower than comparable. Countries maybe
not the lowest price they charge anywhere in the, world
but countries as wealthy as ours or in the, vicinity
we pay less than. Them darn. It that's the, demand

(19:13):
that's the. ASK i love this as an. Idea President
trump has, tried even the first time in office before
to lower prescription, prices pharmaceutical prices on, things and of
course that industry fights, him and it all winds. UP
i think last time what he tried to do got
challenged in courtrooms and eventually lost in, courtrooms which was,

(19:34):
crazy essentially saying he skipped some steps And congress has
to be, involved and all the people who are getting
sweet sweet money from the pharmaceutical industry will fight this
thing tooth and, nail But americans would love. It you
know what's funny just quickly to say, this and maybe
this will be a recurring theme AS i fill in
today on The Chad Benson show For. Chad but there's

(19:56):
so many efforts going on For President trump that if
they work the way their promise to, work if you
lower pharmaceutical, prices if you get better trade, deals all of,
this it would be universally.

Speaker 3 (20:08):
Good there wouldn't be a political.

Speaker 2 (20:09):
Spin to it that, says you, know it's bad because of,
this or it's bad somehow over. HERE i think the
only spin the pharmaceutical industry is coming up with right
now is that if they don't break in as big
of profits as they currently break, in then they're probably
not going to create as much fancy new drugs for
us that we may or may not even. Want, essentially

(20:29):
innovation is going to be stilted because it's not going
to be as beneficial financially to do. IT i think that's,
insane BECAUSE i think that as long as it's beneficially
or as long as it's financially beneficial at, all we'll
get the same of what we're getting, before and they'll
try to get back to breaking in crazy. Profits but,
hey it would be great if we As americans could

(20:50):
pay less and not be absolutely gouged compared to other.
Countries and anyone knows this that has ever traveled. Before
my favorite AND i mentioned this a bit. AGO i
married to someone who was born In, mexico So i've
gone To mexico quite often to visit her. Family and
even just getting prescription drugs there is insanely different than.

(21:10):
Here there's a whole lot of things that you don't
even need a prescription to, buy and then they're way
cheaper than they would be, here even after insurance and everything.

Speaker 3 (21:18):
Else and that's.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
Crazy and that's not even one of the better countries
as far as pricing this. Stuff there's way better out,
there and so ABSOLUTELY i think it would be great
and Most americans would love it If trump lowers the
price of you, know drugs for all of us legal.
DRUGS i should probably say if he lowers the price
of those for all of, us.

Speaker 3 (21:38):
That would be.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
Good and you wouldn't be able to find very many
people who actually didn't like, it even if they still
claim to, hate hate the current, president or hate any
of that other stuff that he's.

Speaker 3 (21:48):
Done all, right we'll move on to. THIS i thought
this was really.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
INTERESTING a podcast conversation With Democratic Senator Chris murphy took
a turn that was and it wasn't as big of
a shot as you think it should have been, taken
because even though the host is claimed to be a,
conservative he writes for The New York, times so he's
only challenging This democratic senator so.

Speaker 3 (22:13):
Much but it was a back and forth about.

Speaker 2 (22:16):
Biological boys playing sports against, girls AND i thought there
was a couple moments that were really interesting where a
politician in a friendly ish interview is being pressed to
actually answer a freaking question and still really refuses to
do it and then says the, typical the typical party line.
Stuff but this is interesting back and. Forth here we, GO.

Speaker 11 (22:39):
I don't have any fear of transgender athletes participating in,
sports but.

Speaker 12 (22:46):
Well, no, wait just so you you don't have any
fear of. It do you think It's do you think
it's if you had a daughter competing against a biological,
male would you find it?

Speaker 11 (22:55):
Unfair, YES i don't have, girls, right SO i necessarily
can't WRITE i can't have some empathy right for those
of us who. Do, Right so would you would you
find it? Unfair, okay that was my favorite part of the.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
Interview i'm going to play the rest of it in a,
second BUT i loved that part where the politician tries
the stupidest version OF i can't even answer this, question
how COULD i picture myself with daughters SINCE i have all,
sons even THOUGH i guess according to, him if one
of his sons wanted to become a, daughter he'd be
fine with, it and then that daughter also could then
participate in athletics against, girls and if he was way

(23:35):
better than, them that he'd also be fine with.

Speaker 3 (23:36):
That BUT i find that. Interesting BUT i love the
have some.

Speaker 2 (23:39):
Empathy use your brain and try to at least answer
this question as someone that's making policy decisions for people
who do have, DAUGHTERS a whole lot of people who.

Speaker 3 (23:48):
Do what is your answer to my?

Speaker 11 (23:49):
Question, Now, SARAH i, Mean i've talked to lots of
parents of girls In connecticut who do not think it's
unfair and who think that the it fits that those
athletes get from being part of a team is important
and they don't mind or feel threatened by the.

Speaker 2 (24:08):
COMPETITION i love that version of an answer, too because it's.
Crap it's the next every politician says. It i've talked
to a lot of. People i'm not going to tell
you how. Many i'm not going to give you the
names of any of. THEM i may or may not
have talked to people who feel exactly the opposite.

Speaker 3 (24:24):
Way i'm not going to mention any of. THAT i
may have talked to no.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
One that may have been something else THAT i did
and chose actively to.

Speaker 3 (24:31):
Do i'm just going to make up THAT i talk to.
People but darn.

Speaker 2 (24:34):
It that's my new answer to the question is that
as a messenger now for other, PEOPLE i know that
they don't have a problem with, it even if you.
Know media tells me that a whole lot of people
in my own community absolutely have a problem with, it
because they're vocalizing it on social media and other. Places
but darn, It i'm not hearing. Them i'm just talking
to some that are that are cool with it. CONTINUOUS

(24:55):
i think.

Speaker 3 (24:55):
Everybody can come to their own. Conclusion but All i'm, saying.

Speaker 12 (24:58):
You're but you're, Right But New york inclusion is the
current is the official the official line of liberalism right.

Speaker 3 (25:04):
Now it's just how you're.

Speaker 11 (25:05):
Saying, yes my conclusion is THAT i would support those
athletes being able to participate in my, community right all.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
Right that's my second favorite part of the interview when
you categorize what he's saying is the official line of
liberalism right? Now it's your official talking, point and it
also seems to be one of the separating moments between
a whole lot of people in this society and what
political side of the aisle they're. On it's one of
a few of, them because, essentially to a lot of,
individuals this feels like common.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
Sense this feels like the kind of. THING i.

Speaker 2 (25:36):
Know this gets talked about ad. NAUSEUM i don't intend
to do it more than reflecting on this piece of audio.
Today but if you have a daughter and they participate in,
sports and you watch them lose to someone who has
a genetically you, know beneficial SETUP a unfair advantage that

(25:59):
they can't compete.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
Against you're not.

Speaker 2 (26:01):
HAPPY i don't care who you, ARE i don't care
who you vote. For your kids are always more important than,
politics and so if you watch something like that, happen
it can change the opinion of someone to be, like
wait a, minute this actually isn't, Fair this isn't. Okay
AND i do love one other thing said there because
to a DEGREE i actually agree with. It the senator

(26:22):
says during this back and forth that parents that are
okay watching a transgender athlete participate in a sport against
their biological daughter believe that sports is, beneficial that being
on a team is beneficial to a person no matter
who they, are no matter you, know what their makeup

(26:43):
is or what they believe themselves to, be et, cetera et.

Speaker 3 (26:45):
Cetera AND i agree with that.

Speaker 2 (26:47):
PART i do think that everybody playing, sports especially at younger,
ages you, know gets a benefit in how to look
and behave and approach society and all that sort of.
Stuff WHAT i think is fascinating about this is maybe
that is also part of the belief for individuals who
say may not be in mentally healthy, places who may

(27:11):
have other reasons that they're, struggling and putting them on
athletic teams might help. Them BUT i wonder if the
same is, true if they have such a significant advantage
that they just wind up being better than everybody else
on that, team and then the rest of the team
evidently also promptly resents. THEM i, mean one of the
more fascinating things to me about some of the more

(27:33):
high profile versions of. This AND i know That Riley
gains gets all the blame from liberal media for being
one of the only outspoken and willing to talk about
it athletes in college. Sports but you can tell on
all those teams where they have a biological male competing
as a, woman that the rest of the players on

(27:54):
your own side resent. You they're not happy that they
have to come in second to you or third or
whatever or whatever the thing may, be because they've tried
their whole lives to be good at something and they
just can't surmount any sort of biological. Advantage And i'll
say one other thing about, this and AGAIN i didn't
mean to rant about this. Topic and this is going

(28:14):
to be as trying to talk to the woke AS
i possibly will be. Today i'm not trying to reflect,
them BUT i am trying to have a discussion that
doesn't preclude them from, listening which is very hard to.
Do if you look into any sort of actual medical
research of advantages of being biologically a man and competing
against women in, sports there are many of those things

(28:37):
that cannot be changed by any amount of, drugs any
amount of other. Things you, take things like the amount
of lung capacity you. Have there are things that will
always be, benefits and there's a lot of, them and
we could have discussions about. More BUT i love when
people say there's no, benefit there's no biological advantage or
just you, know athletic advantage at all to having been

(28:59):
born a, Man and that is insane and it's absolutely
rejected by actual. Science the science that they shove in
the corner and don't want to talk about all that,
much and the science that they prop up is science
that is ridiculously specific to try to prove their, point
and even then it seems to struggle to do, it
but that essentially is all they. Have SO i find

(29:20):
that interesting, too that very very, often this discussion with
someone who's actually just an every, day walking around human
who is hardcore liberal they will say out loud that
there's no advantage because they've heard that, somewhere but they
haven't actually done enough research or enough looking into it
to be sure that that's, true because it's. Not it's

(29:41):
just simply, not and any scientist who was pushed would actually.
Agree all, right we'll take a break on. THAT a
lot to talk about, today a lot of fun to be.
HAD a dude attacked two neighbors of his in a
very interesting. Way no one was, hurt but it ties
Into Star. Wars i'll tell you more about that in a.

See you're listening to The Chad Benson.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
Show this is The Chad Benson. Show my name Is Craig,
collins filling, in thrilled to be with. You chad is
back with us. TOMORROW a mother and a son graduated
from college together just Before Mother's. Day this happened AT
tcu In Fort, Worth. Texas the mom was interviewed talking
about graduating with her. Kid, LOOK i know That Mother's

(32:21):
day was just. Yesterday i'm going to be. Honest the
kid probably wasn't as excited that mom was in his
classes as mom was during.

Speaker 3 (32:29):
College that's the moment where you get to fly. Free
for a lot of.

Speaker 2 (32:32):
People that's the moment where you leave the nest and
you get to live your own. Life AND i don't
know if he was on campus and she, Wasn't i'm
going to. Assume but no matter how much this is
a feel good story For kyle And brandy and everybody,
Involved kyle's not as, excited or at least hasn't shared
all the emotions with.

Speaker 3 (32:50):
Everyone i'm going to, imagine here we.

Speaker 14 (32:51):
Go i'm feeling excited a little bit. Nervous so it's
been fun to attend tailgates with, him to see him in.

Speaker 6 (33:00):
Action at his sporting.

Speaker 14 (33:02):
Events the stars aligned perfectly the first for us and our,
family you, know graduate, degrees mother. Son it was pretty
fun for him to, say, HEY i got his matching
shoes for us to wear to our graduation. Ceremony AND
i was, like, Wow i'm not too, Old, worthies but,
okay if you THINK i can rock, it we'll try it.

Speaker 3 (33:23):
AGAIN i.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
Promise no matter how much this feels like a good
story and the sun is smiling and getting shoes for,
ma a part of him is, LIKE i really wish
she'd leave the tailgate SO i can have a different
kind of, fun and Then i'm going to Have his
mom is standing there and.

Speaker 3 (33:35):
Watching the entire.

Speaker 2 (33:36):
Time all, right another story out there THAT i found
very interesting that this theme song is actually quite appropriate FOR.

Speaker 3 (33:48):
I promise this actually makes. SENSE a twenty.

Speaker 2 (33:50):
Five year old man In nebraska was arrested after he
attacked his thirty seven year old female neighbor and her
seven year old daughter with a. Lightsaber, apparently the guy
got mad that the kid was playing outside and hit
her with a. Lightsaber she wasn't injured in a serious,
way but both the, daughter who's seven, again and the

(34:12):
thirty seven year Old, mom so they were hit hard
enough for it to.

Speaker 3 (34:15):
Hurt it caused enough.

Speaker 2 (34:16):
Pain but the guy first strikes the kid with a,
lightsaber So mom rolls over to the house and is,
like what are you doing hitting my child with a?
Lightsaber and the twenty five year old, man who's behaving
a whole lot like a, child just hits her with
a lightsaber as, well WHICH i guess you probably could
have seen.

Speaker 3 (34:33):
Coming in this.

Speaker 2 (34:34):
Situation the person is being charged with two felonies child
abuse and second degree assault for hitting people with a.
Lightsaber this is not something you should, do, obviously that's
THE psa of all of, this but it is ridiculous
that this guy AND i guess maybe The Imperial march
would have been better The evader theme song than The
Star wars. One but the thing that's so crazy to

(34:56):
me about all this is that the charges are a
series as they are not Because i'm against. Them he
hit a. KID i think he does deserve to be
charged with something. Serious but this is why you don't do.
That this is why you go ahead and stand down
and put the lightsaber, down even though it obviously isn't
really going to cause the damage that a real one would.

Speaker 3 (35:15):
Cause so it's just.

Speaker 2 (35:17):
Insane but, Yes aid And white going to be in
a whole lot of trouble for being the kind of
person that just stinks in our society quite a.

Speaker 3 (35:24):
Bit all, Right beyond.

Speaker 2 (35:25):
The lightsaber, criminal there are other things to talk about
in the real. World we'll get back to those in
just a. Bit this Is Greg collins filling in on
The Chad Benson. Show although, actually If i'm doing one
more silly thing first before we move on to other.
Things and this is adult in, nature SO i like
to talk about this sort of stuff WHEN i have
almost time.

Speaker 3 (35:44):
Left the ideal number of, romances.

Speaker 2 (35:47):
Let's call, them has been put out in a social
media study or a brand new study for people to think.
About for, women two to three romances is. Ideal for,
men four to fiveman answers, ideal that's the socially acceptable.
Number And i've given you. Something i've taught you something,
today all, right quick break a lot More Craig collins

(36:08):
filling in on The Chad Benson show at a.

Speaker 3 (36:10):
Time darn.

Speaker 1 (36:10):
It this is The Chad Benson, show The Chad Benson.

Speaker 9 (36:45):
Show this is The Chad Benson.

Speaker 2 (36:48):
Show my name Is Craig collins filling, in thrilled to
be with. YOU a bunch of stuff out there to talk.
About just to, summarize a lot of good things have
happened over the last week or so as far As
President trump and some of his accomplishments are.

Speaker 3 (37:03):
Concerned so much.

Speaker 2 (37:04):
So that The White House Press secretary gave an answer
to a question On Fox news where she recapped some
of these.

Speaker 3 (37:11):
Things here we.

Speaker 13 (37:12):
Go, look we told you the next one hundred days
would consist of peace deals in trade, deals and that's
exactly what we have. Seen The president announced last week
the big trade deal with THE, uk as you. Mentioned
now we have a first deal With. China just, yesterday
The president announced the release of the last Remaining american
hostage In, Gaza, Eden, alexander who will soon be united
with his loving, Family god bless. Him that's thanks To President.

(37:35):
Trump we also negotiated a ceasefire with The, hoothies And
President trump was instrumental in negotiating a ceasefire With india And.
Pakistan this is all in the last, Week President.

Speaker 9 (37:46):
Trump pretty good.

Speaker 3 (37:47):
WEEK i gotta be, honest that's a pretty good.

Speaker 2 (37:49):
Week it's not being touted anywhere near as much as
it should on all the other you, know liberal or
mainstream media outlets that are out there in the.

Speaker 3 (37:57):
World but that's a pretty good.

Speaker 2 (37:59):
Week you also Have putin and you Have zelenski set
to meet each. Other this is something that Again trump
was instrumental, in according to The White. House but, nonetheless
no matter, what it's. Important the Last american hostage being
released By hamas is of course a big, deal and
it seems to be something That hamas is doing right

(38:21):
Before President trump travels to The Middle east out of
some amount of fear that the ability for The United
states to have significant relationships with countries in that, area you,
know intimidates. Them it's very interesting to, me whether it's
The saudi's whoever you want to say it, is it's

(38:41):
very interesting to me that when a democratic politician is
in office and they have to break bad on some
of these other, countries then the bad actors in the
world who know that maybe our potential to be closer
or have closer ties to some of the countries that they,
them Says elves, thinks support them when that starts to,

(39:02):
fade even if it's just a little. Bit this is
the outcome of. That and So i've said it before
And i'll say it. Again trump being unpredictable for a
lot of, people not just you, know you AND, i
but honestly people who run other countries is one of
the biggest benefits he has in the. World it's one
of the most significant aspects of dealing with. Him as

(39:25):
a leader of any other. Country you don't really know
what he would, do what he's capable. Of by our
own media's discussion about the current president of The United.
States IF i was following, that IF i watched liberal
left leaning media as often as you know some PEOPLE
i know, do But i'm in some foreign country consuming
media that, WAY i would assume that this person who's

(39:48):
coming to visit us and talk to us is capable of,
anything and that actually benefits.

Speaker 15 (39:52):
Him that.

Speaker 2 (39:53):
Helps so it is interesting the way that the news
cycle obsesses About trump and tries to paint the mostous
picture possible for, him even Just i'll say, this the
chaoticness of The White, house which you got from sixteen
to twenty, twenty and you get again. Now most people
say on that side of the aisle that it just is.

(40:15):
Crazy you, know every day is insane and who knows what's,
happening and everything is always, confusing and people don't know
things are supposed to. Know AND i find that very interesting,
too because it doesn't undercut the.

Speaker 3 (40:28):
Power of the current.

Speaker 2 (40:30):
President when the truth was that our former, President President,
biden seemed to not know a lot of what His
White house was, doing and it absolutely undercut his power and.
Ability he seemed to be a puppet of a. Leader
the exact opposite seems true For. Trump most of the
discussions are about how he's the only one who knows
what he's going to do, next and that seems to benefit.

(40:52):
Him but, AGAIN i just think it's funny that in
the last week we've had all these things, happen and
as we get closer to a potential trade deal With,
china which is probably the biggest one on anybody's list
of things that could go well in the near, future
that would make a lot of people on both sides.
Happy you wonder when and if that praise inevitably comes

(41:13):
for the person everybody hates a. RIGHT i want to
play some audio out of THE. UK i thought this
was really. Interesting you had a politician in THE uk
talking about how they need to pull back on the
amount of asylum seekers and people from other countries that
are flooding into The United. Kingdom it sounds like the

(41:33):
kind of statement that could be made here in The
United states and does get made actually here in The
United states by SOME i don't know if it's just
more tolerable to some media because of The british accent
of it. All but, Here i'll go ahead and play
a little bit of this audio all.

Speaker 16 (41:47):
Important without, them we were becoming an island of, strangers
not a nation that walks forward. Together so when you
have an immigration system that seems almost designed to permit,
abuse that encourages some businesses to bring in lower paid
workers rather than invest in our young, people or simply

(42:11):
one that is sold by politicians to The british people
on an entirely false, premise then you're not championing. Growth,
now you're not championing justice or how else people defend
the status. Quo you're actually contributing to the forces that
are slowly pulling our country. Apart, so, YES i believe in.

(42:34):
THIS i believe we need to reduce immigration.

Speaker 2 (42:39):
Significantly oh, no how, horrible terrible the things this guy.
Says here's WHAT i love about this, audio AND i
say this sometimes WHEN i talk about this, discussion even
with like a friends of, Mine when The United states
is talked about in the world of, immigration in the
world of citizenship being something you can earn just by

(43:03):
being born in this, country all of those, things we
absolutely fail to contextualize where The United states stands in
the world on a lot of those. Issues and how
many other countries refuse a bunch of the things that
The United states winds up potentially changing their position. On
that causes so many to be up in arms and
say we're not a loving country. Anymore places like THE,

(43:26):
uk places all Throughout europe have way different laws and
rights than we. Do almost none of those countries have
birthright citizenship as a. Thing very few countries in fact
in the world, do and yet that's not even talked
about anymore because that's the status quo and has been
the status quot for a long. Time but even, so

(43:47):
politicians in THE uk are, saying we need to change,
this we need to pull back on some of these
things because it's actually tearing our country.

Speaker 3 (43:54):
Apart and they're right about.

Speaker 2 (43:56):
That as they say, that they're right about the idea you,
know this is probably again the way to make the
argument to the, woke if you want to make it that.
Way one of the most obvious things that would happen
if you bring people into the country who don't have
the right to work a real. Job AND i don't
mean that their jobs aren't, real the ones that people,

(44:18):
get but they don't have the ability to negotiate a
salary any of those.

Speaker 3 (44:21):
Things so people are going to be.

Speaker 2 (44:23):
Unhappy people who come to this country are going to
very quickly be upset with their own walk in. Life
and a lot of times that anger is something that
then gets placed on your, neighbor placed on someone that
you see in your community that you think is doing
better than you in an unfair. Way and it's ridiculous
for people to feel that way who came into our country,

(44:45):
illegally but darn, it it, happens and it happens in
other communities, too and then that, anger that rage almost feels,
justified and it causes. Problems we see violence in communities
that feel like they're disproportionately treated and. Unfair you, know
as far as circumstances, GO i don't know why it's

(45:05):
such a powerful. Emotion in society. NOW i think it's
always been a powerful emotion for, people but it seems
more so now to be true that you have to
find someone that you can, touch that you can, reach
that you can be in front of to be mad.
At you can't just be mad in, general or mad, at,
say you, know the company you work, for. Whatever you

(45:26):
have to be mad in an individual in your life
that you can see that you think is benefiting from
something that you're not benefiting.

Speaker 3 (45:33):
From you have to hate. Them that's what media tells
you to.

Speaker 2 (45:36):
Do and this does feel like the kind of thing
that absolutely obviously would be increased and apparently so in
The United kingdom and everywhere else simply by, existing simply
by allowing people to come into the world or come
into our country with a set of circumstances that they
inevitably will feel are, unfair even though again they shouldn't

(45:57):
be here in the first, place and then they'll get
mad about those.

Speaker 3 (45:59):
Things this is the most.

Speaker 2 (46:01):
Obvious, one two three set of steps that occur on
any of these.

Speaker 3 (46:05):
Issues but darn, it doesn't.

Speaker 2 (46:07):
Matter how dare you say that out loud and out
without A british. Accent even more, IMPORTANT i guess all,
right other things out there in the. World just to
talk about, QUICKLY i do think that the announcement made
By President trump about trying to cut drug prices by
as much AS i think fifty nine percent is going
to be a huge.

Speaker 3 (46:26):
Thing it's going to get challenged in.

Speaker 2 (46:28):
Court there's a tremendous likelihood that it might be something
that courts actually prevent from. Happening the reason WHY i
say that is not BECAUSE i think that that's, appropriate
but that's what happened last time That trump was in
office and tried to impact the cost of, pharmaceuticals the
cost of prescription, drugs is the courts challenged it and

(46:48):
eventually said that he couldn't do. It what is amazing
about these, attempts even if these are attempts that don't,
work IS i think it does out the people on
the political side of the aisle who don't want want
this to. Happen AND i think that sometimes is the
whole point of all of, this is that if you
can't actually change the, rules you at least need to
demonstrate who the people are that are preventing the rules

(47:11):
from being. Changed and SO i think that's what we'll
see here if not actually a successful executive order that
does lower the price of prescription drugs because it makes
no sense for The United states to pay eighty percent
higher costs than anyone else in the, world and some
stuff simply because we're helping to prop up the success

(47:33):
and the, giant ridiculous amounts of profit that these companies
are raking. In and so we'll see what. Happens it
was a big announcement over the. Weekend as far as
a social media post on truth social it's a long.
One if you want to read what The president put up,
THERE i recommend you go check it.

Speaker 3 (47:48):
Out will it? WORK i don't.

Speaker 2 (47:50):
Know and DO i hate performative, politics ABSOLUTELY i, Do
BUT i also like WHEN i know who the actual
people are that are standing in the way of something
that The american people would, want and this seems like
this will at least do. That but we will see
and you probably know who the people are standing in
between this happening and us getting lower. Prices but darn,

(48:11):
it at least let's get it on the record as
we see this fought in courtrooms throughout the country and
probably going to be a big, challenge All, right we'll
take a break a lot. More Craig collins filling in
on The Chad benson.

Speaker 9 (48:21):
Show Gold why because.

Speaker 8 (48:27):
What if that's why you got what they're calling The
rio reset coming up here in a couple, months where
all the bricks people are going to get together see
if they can decouple themselves from the, dollar the potential
of weakening of, dollar trade, Issues you've got global conflict, everywhere,
Inflation we go on and on, gold, gold, Gold protect

(48:47):

(49:54):

Speaker 18 (49:57):
Do what you've just said is one of the most,
insane mainly idiotic THINGS i have ever.

Speaker 5 (50:01):
Heard and then they passed us a, baton and the
question is what will we.

Speaker 18 (50:06):
Do with the time we carry the baton?

Speaker 9 (50:09):
Smoke and are you just dumb and pale.

Speaker 6 (50:12):
Who doesn't love a yellow school?

Speaker 9 (50:14):
Buslart get your ass from their cool buff and go.

Speaker 1 (50:18):
HOME i call myself a joyful. Warrior The Chad Benson.

Speaker 2 (50:25):
Show this is The Chad Benson. Show my name Is Craig,
collins filling, in thrilled to be with. You a bunch
of stuff to talk. About one of my favorite places
on social media is THERE I Ruined. It it's mostly
like An instagram or social media page by a guy
who ruins music or does things that are inherently. Hilarious

(50:47):
he has made something brand new that went very viral.
Online it Is Liam neeson's Movie Taken if you know
anything about this, movie you know that a father has
his daughter kidnapped and does everything he can with special
set of skills.

Speaker 3 (51:01):
To get her, back and boy does he during the.

Speaker 2 (51:04):
Movie but they turned that movie into a musical and
they use some of the actual audio from the, movie
and it is, hilarious especially if you've seen this movie.

Speaker 3 (51:14):
Before here we.

Speaker 18 (51:15):
GO i don't know who you. ARE i don't know
what you. Want if you let my daughter, go that'll
be the end of. It if you, DON'T i will
look for. YOU i will find, you AND i will kill.
You BUT i too have a particular set of, skills

(51:38):
SKILLS i have acquired over a long, career skills.

Speaker 13 (51:42):
That make me and.

Speaker 18 (51:46):
For people like, you like, YOU i don't know.

Speaker 3 (51:50):
LIKE i gotta be. Honest this would be more.

Speaker 2 (51:52):
Terrifying When Liam neeson said it just like cold and
slowly to the guy that he eventually tracked down for
kidnapping his. Daughter you knew that he was. Serious but
if he sang it in this, WAY i would have
even been more afraid of. Him IF i probably would
have just turned the daughter over immediately been, like, Dude
i'm impressed with a lot of things happening musically, there
And i'm also quite terrified of how you behave as a.

(52:14):
Person here you, go but thank you once. Again THERE
i ruined it guy for making something amazing in the.
INTERNET a quick, break a lot. More Craig collins filling.

Speaker 3 (52:22):
In on The Chad Benson. Show you know, What ACTUALLY
i have a little bit more of this. Audio let's keep.

Speaker 2 (52:27):
Going who you?

Speaker 18 (52:28):
ARE i don't know what you want if you let
my daughter go and nice So, DONALD i will look for,
YOU i will find, you AND i will cue.

Speaker 9 (52:44):
YOU i like.

Speaker 2 (52:46):
That the music for it is so, perfect it's so, upbeaten,
uplifting and the messages horrifying and.

Speaker 3 (52:52):
SCARY i think it's.

Speaker 2 (52:53):
THAT i think it's the difference between both of those
messages that would make me uniquely terrified of the or
some calling me and singing like that if.

Speaker 3 (53:02):
That had actually.

Speaker 2 (53:02):
Occurred maybe that's an idea for taking, four which IS
i think what one they're.

Speaker 3 (53:05):
ON i think they've done three so. Far his daughter was.

Speaker 2 (53:08):
TAKEN i think in one of the, movies he himself was,
taken which is. Crazy trying to save yourself from being
kidnapped while you're kidnapped is a unique premise to any
kind of. Movie but, again maybe they need to add
the musical component to it to make it even more.
Terrifying one last THING i thought this was. INTERESTING a
survey shows what Young americans are finding. Important it isn't having,

(53:29):
Kids it isn't getting. Married Young americans more and more
prioritize just being in their careers as one of the
most valuable things they can do in. Life having certain
goals that they achieve professionally or. Financially being significantly wealthy
again is much higher up on the list than anything,

(53:51):
else and so that seems important to a lot Of.
Americans they also do prioritize long term, relationships maybe not
all the other typical stuff that goes with. It all,
right quick break. More Craig collins filling in on The
Chad Benson.

Speaker 15 (54:02):
Show S Chad Benson.

Speaker 9 (54:12):
Show.

Speaker 1 (54:32):
The Chad Benson.

Speaker 2 (54:33):
Show this is The Chad Benson. Show my name Is Craig,
collins filling. In thrilled to be with. You cutter is
giving a gift to The United, States and how dare
they give us? Anything they're not actually giving it directly To,
trump but they're giving it to THE us to be
used as Air force, one a fancy new. Plane the

(54:54):
conversation from the LEFT cnn and a bunch of other
liberal media outlets and darn it all legacy media, outlets
is how this is evidently, corruption WHICH i do. Love
i'll play some audio OF cnn first and Then i'll
tell you some reasons that it's actually not. Corruption but darn,
it how DARE i try to say? That but here we, go, First.

Speaker 19 (55:13):
Carsman apparently THE us And cutter are working out the
final details of a, gift a big, gift a giant
luxury seven forty seven aircraft That President trump is reportedly
going to accept and the military is going to convert
into being able to use as Air force, one and

(55:34):
then it may end up at The Trump presidential library
after he leaves.

Speaker 9 (55:37):
Office how do you feel about this?

Speaker 2 (55:39):
Gift by the, WAY i love the build up for
that question To Representative Dan, goldman A, democrat because he's,
like how do you feel about this, ridiculous, insane horrific
gift that is happening Between cutter and The United?

Speaker 3 (55:53):
States what is your take goods er?

Speaker 20 (55:55):
OPTION a violation of the right hold, On let's get
that it is brazen corruption violation of The constitution The
Foreign emolument's clause it is a gift from a foreign
disgusting that is expressly not permitted under The.

Speaker 9 (56:14):
Constitution how Dare trump do?

Speaker 2 (56:16):
This no one in the history of our country would
ever accept any kind of gift from a foreign country
that would be given to us to not directly to.

Speaker 3 (56:24):
Him how dare, you?

Speaker 2 (56:25):
Sir except wait a, MINUTE a whole lot of times
in our, society other countries have given gifts to our.
Country i'm going to name some of, them because darn,
it why?

Speaker 3 (56:34):
Not this will be. Fun and you know what's funny about?

Speaker 2 (56:37):
This WHEN i was looking for decent lists on the
ridiculous amount of things that we've been given from foreign,
NATIONS i found one from twenty. Twelve this is AN
Abc news story in which it's Highlighting Michelle obama and
a couple representatives From japan celebrating the one hundredth anniversary

(56:57):
of the gift Of japanese cherry blossoms To, washington D.
C by planting more of, them and the media story
is glowingly happy about the fact that The United states
would celebrate this gift From japan that was given to
us in nineteen, twelve and That obama is highlighting the
importance of it The National Cherry Blossom, festival.

Speaker 3 (57:17):
ETC i love that that was one gift given to.

Speaker 2 (57:20):
Us The statue Of liberty comes to mind from many
people as another gift that was given at one point
in pieces From france to, us not the only. One
here's my favorite of the list of items that have
been given by foreign countries to, Us The senate's. Gavel
the current version of the gavel was actually given to
us By india after ours broke in nineteen fifty four

(57:44):
during a spirited discussion in The senate in which someone shattered.
It that part's, Awesome and then eventually this new gift was.
Given it was highlighted as incredibly important and hopefully a
demonstration of how politicians can come together with a passion and,
freedom you, know to fight prejudiced all that.

Speaker 3 (58:05):
Stuff it was.

Speaker 2 (58:06):
Amazing but that's one of tons and tons of gifts
that we've been given as a. Country this isn't being
given To. Trump it is being given to The United.
States could it end up in The Trump, Museum, yeah
it probably. Could you know who doesn't own The Trump,
Museum President. Trump he doesn't own. It that's something that
if it were to, happen it would be uniquely. Petty

(58:28):
And i'm not saying THAT i would disagree with it.
Completely but if you trash somebody for accepting a gift
that he's allowed to use as air force, one as you,
know our country's, plane not his own personal, plane that
he gets to keep after he leaves, office but then
it goes into a museum so no one else can use,
it that is very different than just him being handed
something for free that he gets to keep as His

(58:51):
but media doesn't care about that, part and they don't
care about highlighting the hypocrisy in their own coverage of this.
Story it's, amazing and it's honestly a fair desperate you
would think, of And i'm sure a whole lot of
people will digest it and believe it and you, know
say that it's corruption and plain, sight as the politician.
Did one other Thing i'll say about this BEFORE i move,

(59:11):
on and it's probably WHAT i find most hilarious about
it IS i actually, prefer and this sounds terrible to
say it out, loud BECAUSE i don't believe this actually is,
corruption BUT i prefer brazen in daylight versions of. Corruption
then what The biden family was, doing which was trying
to hide the corruption as much as possible and failing
miserably at. It things like you, Know hunter selling paintings

(59:35):
the leaders of foreign. Countries that was them trying to
hide in plain daylight what was going. On this is
just absolutely accepting something and letting the pieces fall where they.
May of how people discuss it and talk about, it
knowing that you have something that won't actually get you
in any. TROUBLE i find that. Hilarious as far as you.

(59:55):
Know different versions of this go in politics every. DAY
i prefer this version. Again all, Right another story out
THERE i saw THAT i thought was really. Interesting this
came from The Wall Street. Journal Everybody's replaceable is what
the story. Was it talks about how CEOs are fed
up with some of the things they're hearing as far

(01:00:17):
as complaints go from their own. Employees this is making
the way for artificial intelligence to take over more things
in the, workplace according to The Wall Street.

Speaker 3 (01:00:27):
Journal but it's beyond.

Speaker 2 (01:00:28):
That several different CEOs of major, organizations including even THE
ceo Of, uber have recently said that a work life
balance is your. Priority that's something you have to figure
out people who are complaining about being brought back into the,
office including places Like starbucks and other companies apparently are

(01:00:49):
getting this version of a reaction from THEIR. Ceo If
i'm going to the office every, day you can. Too
what's amazing about, this to, me at least in, part
is the belief that you have a significant amount of
power in your workplace if you. Complain not if, you you,
know do other things to try to get what you,

(01:01:10):
want but just complaining as a large group might actually
help you achieve whatever the goal might be of showing
up to work less or going to the office lest et,
cetera et, cetera and more and more CEOs are saying
you should be grateful you have a job, because to be,
honest right, now in the workplace or in the you,

(01:01:30):
know world of, employment the power does lie more with
the employer than the.

Speaker 3 (01:01:35):
Employee as often it.

Speaker 2 (01:01:37):
Does and if you're unemployed for a, while you know
how hard it is to find a new, gig to
find a new job out there in the.

Speaker 3 (01:01:43):
World SO i find this uniquely.

Speaker 2 (01:01:45):
Interesting but many of the complaints sound like the complaints
of a younger, generation things LIKE i should be allowed
to work from, home et, cetera et, Cetera and many
of the reactions to it sound like the reactions from
a older generation who's thinks it's ridiculous that they're dealing
with this sort of complaint in the first. PLACE i
find both of those positions to be uniquely important to

(01:02:08):
the likelihood that this actually ends well for anyone that's.

Speaker 3 (01:02:11):
Upset about this.

Speaker 2 (01:02:12):
Stuff BUT i just thought it was interesting that there
is this long DIVE ceo AFTER ceo, interviewed either you,
know in a anonymous or a public facing, way and
saying out loud that more and more the, problems the,
complaints the issues that our employees are giving us are

(01:02:32):
things that we want them to figure out on their,
own and not things that we're going to change the
rules on to make it whatever version of work that they.

Speaker 3 (01:02:39):
Want AND i wonder.

Speaker 2 (01:02:41):
If that truly is AND i say this the best
WAY i can possibly say, it a byproduct of people
that expect more when they leave, school especially young, employees
and aren't getting what they. Expect so they want some sort,
of you, know version of a win because you're not
getting the salary you, expected you're not getting whatever it

(01:03:03):
is the, benefits the, bonuses the things you want in.
Life so instead of, that you just want to be
able to show up less to work or not work as, hard.

Speaker 9 (01:03:11):
Etc.

Speaker 2 (01:03:12):
Etc and the, CEOs the, bosses the people in the
high positions of power are, saying, no that's not how
this is going to.

Speaker 3 (01:03:19):
WORK i find both parts of that uniquely.

Speaker 2 (01:03:21):
Interesting and we'll see what the end result of this,
problem if that's what you want to call it. Is
but a bunch of CEOs have essentially said we're changing some,
rules and if you don't like, it there's the, door
which is the version of let's just shut up and
get to work that most people are actually going to, say,
fine we'll go ahead and stop. Complaining another thing out

(01:03:42):
there THAT i saw and thought was pretty interesting About
fetterman and whether or not he's. Healthy it's an amazing
like if you did a map or some version of
a timeline Of John fetterman's time in office as A
senator at the beg of, it you would see a
whole lot Of republican, criticism a whole lot of conservative,

(01:04:04):
criticism and a whole lot of people saying that for health,
reasons it might not be a good thing For Senator
fetterman to be a. Senator then he started saying stuff
that was against The Democratic, party and those complaints really.
Quieted the right was, like a, fine we can keep this.
Guy he at least seems like he's somewhat willing to

(01:04:26):
say things that no one else in his party is
willing to. Say and exactly at that, Moment democrats started
complaining exactly like conservatives had complained about issues that they
said were ridiculous to complain about when he was serving
their party faithfully and doing things they wanted him to.
Do it's amazing to watch that the position of the

(01:04:47):
left is now That Senator fetterman is not healthy and
that there have, been you, know behind the, scenes anonymous
discussions about how erratic his behavior is and how it's
dangerous to him and the others around, him simply to
remove him from. Office, AGAIN i can rewind the tape
and play for you reaction after reaction from liberal media

(01:05:10):
about how horrible it was for conservatives to talk about
a man who suffered a stroke in some sort of
medical way and talk about the fact that he might
not be healthy as far as what he was saying
and doing well in. Office that was a horrible thing
to say out, loud and now it's the constant conversation
as far As fetterman, goes and a new you, know

(01:05:32):
a deep dive from The hill talks about how they
need to discuss ways to remove him from The, senate
most likely by force, somehow WHICH i, guess according to his,
behavior might turn him into someone very erratic and. UPSET
i don't, know BUT i just find it very interesting
that you can, attack attack the version of discussion coming

(01:05:54):
from the other side until eventually you need. It it
actually reminds me quite a bit of saying that The
Hunter biden laptop wasn't real for a long, time and
then eventually using it in the courtroom Against Hunter, biden
because that is what the government. Did they told us
forever that this Was russian, disinformation and then, eventually in
a court case Against hunter it was entered into, evidence

(01:06:15):
which is hilarious and also incredibly ridiculous and might make
your blood boil when you think about it for more
than a few. Seconds so let's not let's not think
about it for more than a few. Seconds let's take a.
Break let's do some sillier. STUFF i like a brand
new sandwich that was unveiled In chicago that, is of
course tied to the brand New american And chicago born.

(01:06:38):
Pope i'll tell you what that sandwich. IS i know
this is a heck of a. Tease in just a,

Way this is The Chad Benson. Show my name Is Craig.

Speaker 2 (01:08:45):
Collins filling In thrilled to be with, you popcorn can
help you live to be one hundred years. Old according
to a brand new social media post from a longevity
expert that went viral on social. Media this is part
of the ANNOUNCEMENT i do enjoy this a. Lot i'm
going to go ahead and play on this even though
this information seems very, Silly but if you want to
live to be A, hundie go ahead and start eating

(01:09:06):
a whole bunch more, popcorn at least according to this.

Speaker 3 (01:09:09):
Expert let me tell you about the best snack that you.

Speaker 9 (01:09:12):
Can eat to live to one. Hundred but you can
also afford.

Speaker 3 (01:09:17):
Popcorn, yeah, baby air pop.

Speaker 2 (01:09:19):
Popcorn it's very high in, fiber it's very high in complex.

Speaker 8 (01:09:24):
Carbohydrates it even has more polyphenols than a lot of.

Speaker 9 (01:09:29):
Vegetables people didn't really.

Speaker 3 (01:09:30):
KNOW i need my.

Speaker 2 (01:09:30):
POLYPHENOLS i definitely need. Those, well here's WHAT i love
about this. Video he says something that can help you
to live to be one hundred that you can. Afford
there's the other stuff out. There it's just going to
be insanely. Expensive so just go ahead and buy yourself
popcorn air pop. It that's the key term they're saying,
there because there's a whole lot of ways to make
the popcorn ridiculously unhealthy for. You essentially of popcorn that

(01:09:52):
you barely, enjoy and then you'll be quite healthy in this,
life at least, again according to this. POST i love
everything about. It another food related story for, you of,
course we found out last week that the brand New
pope is from The United, states the First american pope
in the history of the, world also a guy who

(01:10:13):
was born In, chicago and So, portillo's the famous hot
dog company out Of, chicago has decided to make a
brand new sandwich that is honoring The. POPE i wonder
what happens when that information gets to The. VATICAN i
wonder how they go through, it if they put it
on the desk with the other. Stuff by the, Way

(01:10:34):
chicago has named a sandwich after, you and How Pope
leo reacts to.

Speaker 3 (01:10:38):
It but darn, it it's a.

Speaker 2 (01:10:39):
Thing it's out, there and the director of communications For,
portillo's her name Is, sarah talked about the significant historical
if you will.

Speaker 22 (01:10:48):
Sandwich you, know it's almost a little bit of divine
fate that this happened In, may which happens to be
National italian Beef monk news hit that the New pope
is From, chicago and immediately our social media, feeds our,
emails even our phone started.

Speaker 23 (01:11:03):
Ringing dubbed The, leo it remains faithful to the restaurant's
Signature italian beef baptized and gravy with what they are
calling The Holy trinity of, peppers oh sweet, hot or
a combo of.

Speaker 22 (01:11:16):
Both it is slow roasted for four. Hours we thinly
slice it.

Speaker 2 (01:11:20):
OURSELVES i think that some people might believe some of
the terms used there are really not good at. All
they're almost disrespectful to the faith. Itself but, Yes portillo's
is very proud, of essentially something that's been on the
menu for a very long time but is now just
named after The, pope The italian beef, sandwich which you
can get there if you, want and you can ask

(01:11:41):
for The Pope leo when you walk Into.

Speaker 3 (01:11:43):
Portillo's the world is, weird.

Speaker 2 (01:11:46):
MAN i do have one more food, story But i'll
save it till a little bit later on about a
person who went viral at A Pizza hut for finding
unused boxes inside a. Bathroom probably not the best place
to store things your event they're going to put food.
Into but darn, It Pizza ut has said they've fixed the.
Problem so that's another story coming up in a. Bit
this Is Craig collins filling in on The Chad Benson.

(01:12:07):
Show and of COURSE i do have audio of that
person finding the Pizza hut boxes in the, Bathroom so
you know, what darn, It let's go ahead and play it.

Speaker 4 (01:12:16):
NOW i came to order, pizza but Before i'm get
in the, PIZZA i love musa.

Speaker 6 (01:12:21):
Washer the toilet is, here the supplies the pizza.

Speaker 9 (01:12:26):
Boxes they'll think them that you put the sauce on the.

Speaker 6 (01:12:28):
Editing why are there food supplies in the.

Speaker 2 (01:12:33):
Washroom why are there food supplies in the walks? Room
that should go? VIRAL i agree with her quick break
a lot. More Craig collins filling in on The Chad Benson.

Speaker 1 (01:12:41):
Show this is The Chad Benson. Show The Chad Benson.

Speaker 9 (01:13:18):
Show this is The Chad Benson.

Speaker 2 (01:13:22):
Show my name Is Craig, collins filling. IN i got
audio Of President. Trump i'm going to play in just a,
second but First i'll play the audio of The White
House Press secretary from this morning summarizing the things that
have happened in the last week during this. Presidency and
obviously these are things that the left is not going
to praise the same way the right. Is but a

(01:13:43):
lot of things are things that pretty much All americans
are going to like here we.

Speaker 6 (01:13:46):
Go, look we told.

Speaker 13 (01:13:47):
You the next one hundred days would consist of peace
deals in trade, deals and that's exactly what we have.
Seen The president announced last week the big trade deal
with THE uk as you. Mentioned now we have a
first deal With. China just, yesterday The president announced the
release of the last Remaining american, Hostage Gaza Eden, alexander
who will soon be united with his loving, Family god bless.

Speaker 6 (01:14:08):
Him that's amazing To President.

Speaker 13 (01:14:10):
Trump we also negotiated a ceasefire with The, houthis And
President trump was instrumental in negotiating a ceasefire With india And.

Speaker 6 (01:14:18):
Pakistan this Is.

Speaker 2 (01:14:19):
There's also a chance That russia will meet With ukraine
in the near. Future Here putin And zelenski will sit
down for a, conversation et, cetera et. Cetera really good
stuff as far as what The White house is succeeding
at over the last, week especially when it comes to
the potential trade deal With china and the suspension of
most of the. Tariffs The United states terrorfile dropped down

(01:14:40):
to thirty, percent The chinese terrifile dropped down to ten,
percent so a big over one hundred percent drop for
both tariffs as they negotiate some sort of long term trade. Agreement,
again all these things successful and. Good what reason could
anyone possibly have to Dislike, trump at least this week
as far as the success. Go and it might simply, be,

(01:15:02):
again the way that he. SPEAKS i don't dislike. THIS
i find this uniquely. Amusing, Actually but here's part Of
trump's press conference from this morning announcing some of his,
successes one of them in executive order to lower the
price of a whole lot of prescription. Drugs and this
is a story he's telling about why he chose to
go about this.

Speaker 3 (01:15:20):
Road it's a road he's tried to go.

Speaker 2 (01:15:22):
Before he did it back in the first term he
had in, office and then it got challenged in court
and eventually sadly, defeated so drug prices didn't go down
the Way trump. Hoped he's doing it again via executive
order and hoping this time it, sticks mostly because All
americans would want. This but darn, it that doesn't. Matter
democrats will still go after. It but here's the story

(01:15:42):
The president told this.

Speaker 3 (01:15:43):
MORNING i, Mean i'll tell you a.

Speaker 24 (01:15:44):
Story friend of mine who's business, man very very very top.
Guy most of you would have heard of, him a highly,
neurotic brilliant, businessman seriously, overweight.

Speaker 9 (01:15:58):
And he takes the fat drugg, okay and he called
me up right here.

Speaker 2 (01:16:05):
AGAIN i think if you're a fan of The, president
you're In you're, like tell me the rest of this.
Story so it sounds amazing if you hate this man
with the burning passion of a thousand, suns you hate
everything he just, said and you're up in, arms your
wokeness is taken over and you can't believe he used
words like seriously overweight and fat shot.

Speaker 3 (01:16:24):
Drug but here we.

Speaker 9 (01:16:25):
Go and he Said.

Speaker 24 (01:16:27):
President he used to call Me.

Speaker 9 (01:16:29):
Donald now he calls me. President so that's nice. Respect
but a rough, guy smart.

Speaker 2 (01:16:33):
Guy by the, way he's describing his friend as a rough,
guy a smart, guy a neurotic.

Speaker 3 (01:16:40):
GUY i find that amusing.

Speaker 18 (01:16:41):
To your successfully very.

Speaker 24 (01:16:42):
RICH i wouldn't even know how we would know, this
but because he's got comments the, president COULD.

Speaker 9 (01:16:47):
I ask you a. Question What i'm In london.

Speaker 24 (01:16:50):
AND i just paid for this damn fat DRUG i.
TAKE i, said it's not. WORKING i, said he, said.
BRUTAL i just paid a eighty eight dollars and In
new YORK i pay thirteen hundred.

Speaker 9 (01:17:04):
Dollars what the hell is going?

Speaker 3 (01:17:05):
On, yeah that's a great. Question what the hell is going?

Speaker 2 (01:17:08):
On by the, way For trump to retell this story
on a national stage and say that he made the
joke to his friend that the fat drug isn't helping
him lose some, weight that is uniquely hilarious and also.

Speaker 3 (01:17:20):
Brutal as far as that.

Speaker 2 (01:17:21):
GOES i have friends like that who know exactly How
tonelia exactly how to you Know polkacha in a way
that you probably get off the phone like what a,
Jerk but then you also, SAY i really like that.
Guy that is the, conversation and that's How trump talked
about changing the price of. Things, again if you want
to hate, him you can find ways to do it

(01:17:43):
via audio like. That but if you want to see
him as the anti politician who happens to be our
president for the second, time you can also find.

Speaker 3 (01:17:50):
A lot to love with that.

Speaker 2 (01:17:52):
Audio here's more the press, conference, though where he spoke
more like a typical person or president does on this,
stuff announcing some of these decisions.

Speaker 24 (01:18:00):
My administration will secure what we're calling most favored nations drug,
pricing the principle is. Simple whatever the lowest price paid
for a drug and other developed, countries that is the
price That americans will. Pay and, well using the term
other developed, countries because there are some countries that need
some additional, help and that's.

Speaker 9 (01:18:20):
FINE i think that's very.

Speaker 2 (01:18:21):
GOOD i love that part two of that, sentence or
that statement That President trump is, making because of course
you paint the picture that he's a, horrible terrible, person
and he, says there's countries that aren't as developed as
ours that can still pay less than we pay for
a certain, medicine so they can still have, it so
they can still use.

Speaker 3 (01:18:37):
IT i think that's.

Speaker 2 (01:18:38):
Good that's a unique thing to say out, loud while
also saying that we now will demand via executive order
the price that we pay compared to countries that are like,
ours developed in a way close to, ours maybe not
quite as, wealthy but in the, ballpark we're going to
pay lower than. Them we want the lowest, price or
at least everybody pays the. Same move for those developed.

(01:18:59):
Countries don't decide to pay eighty percent more cost than everyone,
else essentially subsidizing the rest of the world as far
as our you, know pharmaceutical costs. Go that is, great
and All americans would universally love. It even the politicians who,
have you, know money they've stolen from us and all
the money that they've gained from insider, trading they would

(01:19:22):
still love to pay less for their pharmaceutical their. Drugs
and yet you, know they'll still trash this because they're
getting too much money from those companies to go ahead
and support. This so there will be a, fight it
will be a whole. Thing, nonetheless, again it would be wildly.
Popular here Is President trump talking about The china deal

(01:19:42):
or the potential for A china, deal.

Speaker 24 (01:19:44):
And they've agreed to Open china fully, Open, china fully.
Open AND i think it's going to be fantastic For.
CHINA i think it's going to be fantastic FOR, us
AND i think it's going to be great for unification and.
Peace china will also suspend and remove all of its
non monetary.

Speaker 9 (01:20:01):
Barriers they've agreed to do.

Speaker 2 (01:20:03):
That, well, okay that's a big deal if that's actually
something that does, Happen because a lot of countries penalize
The United states in ways beyond just charging say a
tariff FOR us to give something or to export something
into their. Country there is a lot of other red

(01:20:24):
tape and, issues and essentially the biggest one With china
is that they just straight up steel our ideas and
information and you, know they go ahead and use it
on their. Own but beyond that, too they were strict
companies from being able to take legal action In china
for things like you, know ip theft and. Whatnot and

(01:20:46):
yet in our country we allow for those Same chinese
companies to Sue american companies if they think that they've
stolen something from. Them so opening up via this cutting
away of red tape would be a tremendous win for
The United, states one That china almost feels, forced i
think to, do not just because of the tariffs That
trump placed on the, country making it need to come

(01:21:08):
to the table to negotiate with, us because they're not
exporting all the things they send to THE, us they're
not going to be making a lot of. Money but
beyond that, too the other countries in the world also
rejecting any sort of trade deal With china because of
the Way chinese deals are. Unfair so when everyone collectively is,
saying you know, what we can't really work with this
country because THE us is. Right they do things that

(01:21:28):
are categorically bad for, us then they have to come
to the table with, somebody and it feels like they
might be coming to the table with The United states.
First but this is a success of the current president
of The United. States there's no way to shape it
as anything other than, that even if media tries to do.
It and, honestly, like here's the, THING i don't have

(01:21:49):
To AND i know sometimes people will send in messages
WHEN i fill in on shows THAT i sound like
the Biggest trump fanboy.

Speaker 3 (01:21:55):
EVER i don't have to. Be i'm.

Speaker 2 (01:21:57):
Not BUT i do like when we. WIN i do
like when good things. Happen and what really amuses me in,
society and this is on both sides of the political,
aisle is the need for someone who isn't you, know
politically aligned with you to fail at all. Costs and
this absolutely is something that the politicians have been doing,
forever but it feels more reflected in society now than

(01:22:20):
it ever has.

Speaker 3 (01:22:20):
Before they find a way to spin anything so.

Speaker 2 (01:22:24):
That you believe it's actually, bad even though it's obviously inherently.
Good and, again these are things like lowering the price
of pharmaceuticals for everyone throughout the. Country the biggest Take
i've seen so far from the left about that being
bad other than the fact that they're saying he doesn't
have the authority to do it and he's Circumventing congress
because you, know to be, honest a whole lot of

(01:22:44):
them are in the pocket of the big pharmaceutical, companies
which is Why congress would never go with a change
like this to the degree that they might need. To
we have a lot of really bad things that happen
in the swamp that does exist IN. Dc beyond, that
the other one they're saying is The United states will
low no longer be as. Innovative we won't create as
much because there won't be an incentive to do, it

(01:23:05):
because these companies won't be making the money hand over
fist that they've been making.

Speaker 3 (01:23:08):
Before they'll still make a ton of.

Speaker 2 (01:23:10):
Money and if you still create brand new drugs like
the Fat, shot you'll still sell it to a whole
bunch of people and make a bunch of money off of,
it but you'll actually sell it at a fair price
to The United, states and you might even have to
tick the price up in some of those other countries
to make them pay what we've been paying forever on.
This so if there's some sort of you, know stabilizing

(01:23:30):
the price across developed, nations even if it ticks up
for other people and goes down significantly for, us that
could still be a. Win AND i love the way
it's not talked about like that or it's not believed
to be that sort of, situation because darn, it it's
not allowed to. Be how dare you think that any
moment could be a win for any reason? Whatsoever and
to be, HONEST i think that's the biggest thing holding

(01:23:52):
us back at times and even having a discussion about
politics with you, know, people you, know because it does
feel like to, me And i've said this before to
friends of, mine if you start a sentence, with, hey
this was pretty good and you're talking about something That
President trump, did the other person refuses the rest of the.

Speaker 3 (01:24:09):
Statement before they even hear.

Speaker 2 (01:24:10):
It they're, like now it's. Bad whatever it, is it's.
Bad one of my other favorite ones, too to talk.
About AND i don't think this would ever, happen but
it is something That trump has at least said, before
is that tariffs could eventually do away with any sort of.
Taxes if we actually did have significant tariffs in the
rest of the, world we could eventually not pay any
taxes at all anymore As, americans something that used to

(01:24:32):
exist in our country and could happen. AGAIN i know
that that would be one of the most popular things
any president has ever. Done do away with taxes here
in The United, states federal. Ones it'd be. Amazing and,
yet of course people say it's terrible and horrible and somehow.
Bad all, right we'll take a. BREAK a lot coming.
Up Craig collins filling in on The Chad Benson.

Speaker 2 (01:26:22):
Benson show my Name Is, craig collins Filling in thrilled
to be. With You bill, Belichick's Girlfriend jordan hudson Competed
In miss maine over. THE weekend i Think With bill
belichick sitting in the front row and this is something
that actually was reported a bunch of Places because belichick
is not anywhere near the age of, his girlfriend who's in.

(01:26:43):
Her twenties here's the THING that i find interesting about
a story, Like this and this came on the heels
of a RUMOR that unc Had banned jordan from all kinds,
of stuff AND then unc said it hadn't, banned her and,
she's welcome and she's currently handling a lot of the
personal brand That Is, bill belichick and that means all
the social media stuff That Is. Bill belichick THE thing

(01:27:03):
i love about this is the weird obsession we have with.
This STUFF and i don't know exactly where it comes
from or why it's a thing. THAT exists i know
that a lot of people do find the, relationship CREEPY
and i personally don't Know if i'd understand if a
twenty something that was my kid was dating a seventy
something year. Old person that feel weird to, Me too but,

(01:27:26):
darn IT if i was also a Friend of belichick's
in his age group and knew that his girlfriend was,
Twenty four i'd be uniquely proud and jealous, Of him so.

Speaker 3 (01:27:34):
It would cut.

Speaker 2 (01:27:35):
BOTH ways i guess this Is what, I'm SAYING but
i just love the fact that this was. All news,
Of course belichick's going to show up For The miss
main competition for the Twenty.

Speaker 3 (01:27:43):
Something girlfriend if you, didn't go you'd be in a lot.

Speaker 2 (01:27:45):
Of Trouble and bill knows that you got to make
her happy in order for her to make, you, happy.
Etcetera etcetera, all right other things, out there there is
a gross viral recommendation for how to. Clean crocs as
far as those rubber, shoes go they say just put
them in the dishwasher and they'll come. Out spotless people

(01:28:05):
are saying this is gross. And disgusting how dare you
put something with, foot stuff any sort of foot sweat
and whatnot in the same contraption that you're actually cleaning your.

Speaker 3 (01:28:15):
DISHES with i.

Speaker 2 (01:28:17):
DON'T know i wouldn't be THRILLED if i was over
somebody's home and as they were doing their dishes and
pulling things out of, THE dishwasher i saw a pair
of shoes.

Speaker 3 (01:28:25):
Pop out that wouldn't make.

Speaker 2 (01:28:27):
Me thrilled at the, same time as far as, hacks
GO if i washed a pair of shoes all on
their own inside the dishwasher a Pair. OF crocs i
might be uniquely proud, of MYSELF but i do think
there's more of a concept of this, seems gross even
if it might not, be gross that would make me avoid.
It altogether, AND again i would not be thrilled to
see someone else doing this sort. Of thing so that's

(01:28:48):
your shoes of. The day you Wash your crocs with,
a dishwasher yes? Or no answer the, Question Later craig
collins filling in On The Chad. Benson show, all right
and one more THING before i actually take. A break
there's a news Story that texas is going to see
unusually high temperatures between ninety and one hundred. This week
it's about a few weeks before that type of thing

(01:29:10):
actually starts happening regularly in Parts, of texas and it
is making a whole lot of people wonder if heat
is worse, than cold if extreme heats are way harder to,
deal with. And whatnot and it's also interesting because one
other thing went viral in Connection to texas being in,
the news whether or Not the southern accent is. Also
disappearing maybe the extreme heat is making people forget that

(01:29:32):
they used to Speak differently i'm. Not sure actual studies
say that a whole lot of people are migrating To
the south even with its, record heat so apparently they're
not afraid of one hundred. Degree HEAT but i have
a little bit of audio Of a southern family talking
about the accent and how it might be.

Speaker 25 (01:29:46):
GOING away i DON'T think i know anyone that has
a Clear distinctive SOUTHERN what i would consider FROM watching tv,
years ago The traditional.

Speaker 18 (01:29:57):
SOUTHERN accent i DON'T think i have, as symbol though the,
people will they, Say it i'll sound.

Speaker 15 (01:30:02):
Very clenchry.

Speaker 9 (01:30:03):
You do we Got where.

Speaker 25 (01:30:04):
I'm from People in georgia do have an accent compared
to like People In. NEW york i think a little
bit of, be lost a little bit Of that, southern
charm the sweet tea sign on, the porch waving at,
your neighbor.

Speaker 3 (01:30:14):
That might be lost a. Little bit i'll.

Speaker 2 (01:30:16):
Tell you i'm someone who moved From the north To,
the south and one of the WORDS that i noticed
the accent on most. Is what whenever anybody says what,
TO me, i, go, OH man i just heard. It
right there still exists quick break a Lot More craig
collins filling In On The Chad, Benson Show.

Speaker 15 (01:30:44):
Sun, Chad, Benson Joe The Chad.

Speaker 1 (01:31:05):
Benson show.

Speaker 3 (01:31:08):
This Is The Chad.

Speaker 2 (01:31:09):
Benson show my Name Is, craig collins filling in the
love affair between mainstream legacy liberal media and the Brand
new pope might finally. Be ending and this is Because
the pope apparently has, a dirty horrible mega brother out
there in, the world someone who was Interviewed. By, newsmax
recently tweets have resurfaced about, him saying, you know things

(01:31:34):
or at least retweeting things that say mean Stuff about.
DEMOCRATS liberals i find this hilarious for a lot, of
ways and actually beyond the politics, of IT because i
do have SOME audio i want. TO play i want,
to ask like the basic human question of what it
would be like if your brother became, the pope, you
know like just just the way that you'd feel or

(01:31:55):
the type of things that you'd.

Speaker 3 (01:31:57):
React to and that's what this interview is.

Speaker 2 (01:32:00):
Actually about a small part of it is being used
out a context to shape this brother as, some hateful,
terrible person, you know who doesn't like foreign language or
other countries because He's a, trump supporter which is far
from the, ACTUAL truth i hear a lot of humanity
and a lot of teasing my brother for being wildly

(01:32:22):
successful and fluent in tons of. Different languages in the
actual long term version of, The audio i'll go ahead and,
Play it but ONCE again i asked the, simple question
something as significant as.

Speaker 3 (01:32:33):
Being, the pope how would you deal.

Speaker 2 (01:32:35):
With that as, A family like if you get together
for a holiday in, the future how do you deal
with the few brothers sitting there who, are, Like yeah
and then, you know our, Other Brother pope leo is
doing pretty good in. His life some things are going well.

Speaker 3 (01:32:48):
For him it's.

Speaker 2 (01:32:49):
Uniquely important how do you even get in a fight with,
your Brother? THE pope i wonder how you would do
that if you could ever have an argument and like
turn to. Your FRIENDS like i was talking to my
brother the, other day like, wait away wait your, pope
brother and he's, Like yeah LIKE all, i CONTINUE but
i already disagree.

Speaker 3 (01:33:04):
WITH you i already Think the pope is right.

Speaker 2 (01:33:06):
About this but here's a little bit again of, that
INTERVIEW and i thought kind of the most important part
when the oldest Brother Of pope leo is discussing what
it's like to find out your brother's the.

Speaker 21 (01:33:17):
New pope put it on THE, big tv sat there.
In awe my'm and the feelings of joy AND exuberation.

Speaker 9 (01:33:28):
I.

Speaker 21 (01:33:28):
CAN'T describe, i, mean imagine it's your, little brother He's.

Speaker 9 (01:33:32):
The pope.

Speaker 21 (01:33:35):
It's an. Indescribable feeling i'm super proud.

Speaker 7 (01:33:39):
Of him we.

Speaker 21 (01:33:40):
All are we love him.

Speaker 20 (01:33:41):
To.

Speaker 21 (01:33:41):
Death wow like five minutes after, the announcement WHEN when
i was sitting and livering and WATCHING in tv and
watching him on the balcony and he started to do
his initial prayer and speech to the crowd out There.
In ITALIAN, Then i i'm not sure what. He's saying

(01:34:02):
then he Switched to spanish and help, me quick, showing
off your. Little jerk but he did, his THING and
i in my mind immediately flashback to the fifties and sixties,
growing up and.

Speaker 3 (01:34:15):
All, RIGHT here i got to stop it.

Speaker 2 (01:34:16):
Right there that is the quote at the end where
he says he does It in italian and Then, it's
spanish and stop, showing off you. Little jerk that people
are saying he's actually hateful and terrible and, doesn't like,
you know, foreign language which is hilarious because your brother.
Speaks languages you, don't understand and so your, reaction, is
man he's he's more INTELLIGENT than, i am he's WHATEVER than,
I am and so it's almost like a jealous teasing that,

(01:34:38):
comes out and you do it. On purpose my little
brother is now taller. THAN me i can't tell you
the amount Of times i've told jokes about HOW upset
i am that the little brother grew to be more
inches HIGH than. I am this is something that upsets me.
A lot you still love, your brother you still care,
about him but you want to tease the things that you're.
Jealous of it, makes sense it happens for all. Of

(01:35:00):
us it is absolutely not someone being A hateful. Mega
supporter but nonetheless that's how they had to, shape it
how they had to discuss it as far as the
older brother. Is concerned but that's amazing for him to
say that his first flash back mentally after finding out
via the television that your brother is now, the pope

(01:35:20):
is to think about growing up with, the kid, and,
honestly like think about any sort of fights you might
have had as a get or anything, that happened or
any moment where maybe he played peacemaker among people in.
THE family i wonder how early on you think, to,
yourself man my brother could be. The pope he might
have success in. THAT world i, don't KNOW but i
just find that. So interesting and you know what's even

(01:35:41):
more valuable, to me the humanity of this story is
stripped away for. Political reasons people only want to talk
about the politics of this individual because he does seem
to be a fairly ardent conservative and Fairly ardent, trump
supporter and so that's more important than the human aspect.
Of it and he does go on to say that, his,

(01:36:02):
brother well he will have things he disagrees with the
administration on which have certainly already been covered in a
lot of. News media he says he might also find
a way to build common ground as someone in a
new position that's incredibly important out of the world and
important to a lot. Of Conservatives The catholic church is
something that absolutely is tied closer To The conservative party

(01:36:23):
Than The.

Speaker 3 (01:36:24):
Liberal PARTY as.

Speaker 2 (01:36:26):
I know a bunch, of young, you know woke liberals
who tell me How evil catholicism itself is or anything
that has to do with, it is which obviously means
that it's not exactly a winning Message. For biden or
anyone else to toubt their faith as much as they might.
Do it and it's certainly something more tied To The,
republican party but it doesn't have.

Speaker 3 (01:36:45):
To be this could absolutely just.

Speaker 2 (01:36:46):
Be human you can just talk, about how, you know
he's got a Brother in florida who thinks. Certain things
he's got a Brother in illinois who still thinks certain
things and seems to be the, you know more friendly To, the.

Speaker 3 (01:36:56):
Democrats. Etc Etc but i'll go back to it one.

Speaker 2 (01:37:01):
More time it would be surreal for your family member
to rise to like you already had to deal with
a family member who was a priest and then a
cardinal and all these. Other things, a bishop and you're
probably saying, to, yourself, LIKE man i can't lose the
brother competition anymore in. The family and then he becomes,
the pope and you got to think, to, YOURSELF like
i don't even KNOW what. I do, you KNOW like
i volunteer at the food bank every once in. A

(01:37:22):
while does that get me any sort of praise from. The,
family no. It doesn't it's undeserved because of who somebody,
else is, All Right and i'm teasing with all Of
these by, The way this is, brotherly RIVALRY which i
think any brother.

Speaker 3 (01:37:34):
Knows exists.

Speaker 2 (01:37:35):
All right other stuff out THERE that i think. IS
Interesting A gavin newsom is asking cities to ban. Homeless
encampments this is the latest quote escalating of the Crackdown
in california and how wildly crazy the homeless problem. Got
THERE what i think is interesting is the, you know
critics of this sort of decision and these. Continued decisions

(01:37:59):
people are saying that you're criminalizing being homeless and not
actually trying to get people to go into, you know
shelters and things so they're not on the street actually.
Causing issues and if you Went To san francisco anytime
in the last few years doing things on sidewalks that
you would not want done anywhere in. The world, but
AGAIN what i think is just fascinating about this is

(01:38:22):
democrats essentially create. The problem they let it get to
a degree that, is absolutely, you know, completely. Unattainable unsustainable
this is like the border issue or. Anything else and
then eventually they relent and try to be a champion
of the solution that they fought tooth and nail until
it got so bad they couldn't ignore. It anymore this

(01:38:43):
happens again, and again and it's happening Currently, in california
and then the left starts to eat. Its own you
can only be a champion of a thing for. So
long it's, the old, you know sanctuary, city debate where
cities that claim that they were wide open to anyone
to come in that was not from, this country not,
born here not. A citizen and then as soon as

(01:39:06):
they started getting sent more people on buses and planes,
those countries those cities, excuse me complained and, so now
dare you send people here that don't have the right to?
Be here one last, thing too a transition to one
MORE topic i saw out there in news MEDIA that
i thought. Was Interesting laura loomer is not a person
that liberal media. Props, up ever it's not a person

(01:39:29):
that they even. Remotely like they often describe her as a.
Conservative Provocateur but laura is against the gift of a
plane that will be happening Soon from cutter To The.
United states this is something that isn't actually going Specifically.
To trump it's not going to be the type of
corruption thing that people claim it's going. To, be yeah

(01:39:49):
it sounds like he'll use a very fancy plane from
a foreign country as His air force. One Plane The
united states will, use it and then it may very
well be put into The presidential Library For donald trump
and not actually allowed to be given to another president,
after him but it won't be a, personal gift and
he doesn't own. His library all these things matter as

(01:40:10):
to whether or not it's, actually Illegal but loomer says
that it's absolutely a stain on his presidency and she
has to call a spade, a spade and he should
not accept the four hundred million dollar Gift from jehattis.
In SUITS what i think is so interesting about this
is that left leaning Media Like the hill is propping up,
this voice and even if she's genuine in her concern

(01:40:33):
or her Attack, on trump whatever you want to, call
it it allows her to be a name that more,
people know and maybe more people click on and go
Find on twitter and then realize how many other things
they do not like about her that they think. Are
horrible that she said it, is interesting but, mainstream media
always trying to find someone that they can say is
Turning against trump to try to get more people to,

(01:40:56):
do it is now propping up the voice of someone
that's certainly An ardent trump's porter, who actually in the

Speaker 9 (01:43:09):
This Is The Chad.

Speaker 2 (01:43:10):
Benson show my Name Is, greg collins. Filling in thrilled
to be with you in Honor Of. Mother's day having
just passed over, THE weekend i got a couple mother's stories.

Speaker 3 (01:43:19):
Out there one's not, SO great i wants.

Speaker 2 (01:43:21):
Are right the first one says that Gifts For, mother's
day there was a brand new rule that people hope
you followed. This year the, rule is if it's something
that you have, to, clean maintain something that, adds value
maybe to the home more so than a, mom herself.

Speaker 3 (01:43:37):
It's Not A mother's. Day gift it's a, family gift
that's what.

Speaker 2 (01:43:40):
They're saying, an example a dad who was viral in
the story talking about this had recently given his wife
a slow Cooker For. Mother's day the reason he did
this is he heard her on the phone talking to
a friend about how convenient it'd be to have a.
Slow cooker, It's like i'll go buy one and it'll
Be A mother's day gift and she'll.

Speaker 3 (01:43:59):
Love it she did not love it because.

Speaker 2 (01:44:01):
She thought that it was a thing that she now
had to do that was work and not something that
was just a gift. To her and when he told
her he overheard her on the phone talking about how
much she, wanted one the mom's, response was you didn't
hear me also talking ABOUT how i wanted diamonds or
just a day OFF where i don't have to. Do
anything those would have been gifts. For me so the
Rule For. Mother's DAY and i don't completely. HATE this

(01:44:21):
i kind of understand how this. Makes sense is that
you got to get a gift that's for mom that
doesn't benefit everybody else somehow and doesn't give mom some
sort of additional job To do that would be better
than getting her something that accidentally checks all those.

Speaker 3 (01:44:34):
Other boxes although as, A.

Speaker 2 (01:44:36):
Dude i also would have overheard a conversation like that
and bought something and thought of it as, a gift, been,
like yeah you, WANT this i.

Speaker 3 (01:44:42):
Got it you're, happy.

Speaker 2 (01:44:44):
NOW right i understand where the guy aired in, his
JUDGMENT and i understand why he, did THAT and i
would have done. It too the other story is a
mom who went viral for allowing her twelve year old
daughter to get a. Tongue ring this is something that
a whole lot of people. ARE critical i myself also
would have been rather uncomfortable with the idea of this

(01:45:04):
of a kid. That age the mom defended herself in
social media by saying that her daughter. WANTED it i
don't think that's a good reason to give your kids
something that might not have the kind of value that
you think, it has and might have some weird undercurrents
that you don't want it. To have it's certainly not
the kind of THING that i would DEFEND if, i,

(01:45:24):
said like gave my kids alcohol before they turned a
certain age while they. Wanted IT so i guess it's
all right to. Do it but the mom has gone
viral she doesn't understand. THE pushback i should also note
that she herself puts up a lot of provocative photos on,
social media and that's why she's even someone where this
story would be relevant or people would know. About it,
BUT yes i agree that twelve feels way too young

(01:45:47):
for something like a tongue ring that feels creepy to even. Talk,
about granted it's. My opinion you have whatever opinion you
want in, this STORY but i get the criticism, toward
MOM and i don't love. The defense there, all right
others stories out there in the world Beyond Anything mother's
day related or, Mom RELATED although i guess this might
be sort of tied. To That toola, booboo Dolls which

(01:46:10):
i've never, heard of apparently are sweeping. The internet these
are dolls that are Made In. Hong kong they're very
popular on social media, on, TikTok specifically gen zers are
lining up outside of stores to. Buy them it's the latest,
you know, beanie baby or you name the fad craze.
That exists here's the thing about the. Lea booboo if

(01:46:31):
you actually look, it up it's got a. Creepy, face
man it has a, wide smile it looks like a
weird bunny animal type, of thing and it's got a
bunch of. Teeth showing it's sort of like the original
Version of Sonic the hedgehog from those movies that came
out recently that had way too many teeth to make
us feel comfortable seeing a movie about a video game character.

Speaker 3 (01:46:53):
Until they change the look.

Speaker 2 (01:46:54):
Of it this just seems creepy, an odd but apparently
it's all the rage on the internet on you know
TikTok because a few Celebrities Du a Lipa and rihanna
have been seen with them recently as part of. Their
luggage they have it on their purses, and whatnot and
so now young people want, la BOOBOOS which i again
had never heard about until this.

Speaker 3 (01:47:15):
Very moment and then.

Speaker 2 (01:47:17):
One last story that went VIRAL that i couldn't get
over being just a strange story, out THERE and i
saved it till the end here because it's adult. In
NATURE so i like to do these stories when we
run out, a TIME so i don't get in more
trouble for talking about. THESE things a, young woman a
MODEL From, I, think canada said that she's trying to.

(01:47:37):
Fight terrorism she's trying to fight men becoming in cells
by choosing to find virgins and make them not. Virgins
anymore that's The way i'll. Discuss this, this woman who
makes two hundred plus thousand dollars a month on a,
specific website said that it's how she's giving back to
society because she believes that if people don't wind up

(01:48:01):
with certain experiences later, in life that's what turns them
into people that do. Horrible things, and so to, quote
her her Name. Is cammy i'm not going to give
out her. Last name she said she wants to help
those who might be on their way to a bad path.
In life this is the weirdest version of publicity for
a Person that i've probably ever heard in. My life

(01:48:24):
it is in. CERTAIN newsplaces i found it In The new.
York post so people are talking. ABOUT this i don't
know if it's a good thing that we're talking. ABOUT
this i don't know if it's actually going to cure.
Any issues she claims it's going, to cure but her
profile is certainly more, places NOW which i guess is
a good or. Bad thing, But look i'm out. Of
Time greg collins filling in On The Jad. Benson show

(01:48:44):
WHAT'S that i get a little bit more time to talk?

Speaker 3 (01:48:46):
About?

Speaker 23 (01:48:46):
This.

Speaker 2 (01:48:47):
Okay fantastic she also said she considers this a tremendous
public service in a further statement she made To, jam
press who wanted to interview the young woman. About THIS
and i love everything about it because in her own
mind she might actually think that she is helping the
world and also helping herself.

Speaker 3 (01:49:06):
Make a bunch.

Speaker 2 (01:49:06):
Of money so who knows what's going, On there but
darned it's in, the NEWS and i chose to talk about.
IT now i really am out. Of Time craig collins
filling in On The Chad.

Speaker 3 (01:49:15):
Benson show.

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Medal of Honor: Stories of Courage

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
